Threatened by someone via Sigaint

Throwaway account - hence the privacy I needed. Some hacker sent a naked picture of my girlfriend and I via sigaint - got it via protonmail. So.. I am filling out a form via iC3.gov

The question is, can FBI subpoena ISP to provide timestamp of that hacker's activity via TOR by the time he sent the picture? Is that enough to prosecute him/her? Hacker sent the image via private image hosting link to threaten me. Probably FBI can start from there and get the IP address or the exit node the hacker is using, not sure if that's more than enough..

I am just upset right now.. thanks for your help. I wasn't sure where to start off at reddit, so I came here.

The question is this....How did this hacker get your email account??? Did you use your real name????

If you're hoping they'll find him through sigaint it'll never happen. You're only hope would be through the image hosting site and even that is a long shot. Sorry but the FBI wont waste any resources on this

LOL. "He sent a picture of my girlfriend and me that was probably all over the clearnet". Dude there's fucking isis out there and shit. Do you think the FBI gives a fuck about this? Because some guy sent you a picture? Smh.

They're trying to get money from you. If you post the image yourself, it will take all the potential profit away from the hacker!

if the fbi could track people through tor do you think dnms would exist?

there is nothing you can do other than ignore it completely. dont acknowledge it and they lose their power over you.

the fbi is doing this kind of stuff? i mean, i know they look porn and watch naked pictures of people all day...but do they really try to find people doing this?

are you using windows? if so you may have a rat/trojan or rootkit etc

The absolute first thing anyone should do when they take possession of a new computer/laptop is put a piece of black electrical tape over the webcam.
