see here:

http://www.politics.co.uk/blogs/2016/05/24/very-quietly-home-office-backs-down-on-psychoactive-substanc

"Look very carefully at the documents the Home Office recently released around the Act, as Richard Greenhill has done, and you find something odd. The government is accepting a scientific definition of the phrase 'psychoactive' rather than the childlike one they themselves put forward.

On one level, this is a victory for drug campaigners, scientists, and people who still believe in things like evidence and reason: a bill which was hopelessly stupid has become markedly less stupid. But on another, it's a damning reminder of the way law is now written to criminalise whole swathes of the population out of laziness and executive overreach."

Hopefully this means they've gotton some common sense into their brains, if it's what I think it is, then the 'psychoactive substances bill' should be more similar to America's 'Federal Analogue Act':

When has prohibition ever worked? As a buyer, if I want something, I'll find it.

[3 Points] None:

The law is a pretty much unworkable mess- Ireland tried similar laws a few years back, total of 4 prosecutions in 5 years. All that happened is foreign vendors just increased marketshare, and royal mail will be delivering a few more packages from abroad.

Thanks Dad.

[2 Points] identiifiication:

Spice, K2 and Black Mamba for what I have seen have done as worse for peoples health as Heroin and other hard drugs. Its not a ideal conclusion to the situation, but atleast they recognise synthetic cannaboids as dangerous.. which they are.

[1 Points] jerkymalerky:

Now how long until the rest of the world follows their lead. Honestly surprised the US isn't the first to enact such a law.

[1 Points] YoMommaRollsMyWeed:

time to stock up on 5-htp and L-theanine

[1 Points] random_addict:

vendors won't give a fuck anyways

[1 Points] Duke_Sucklemon:

Doesn't affect me as I'm old-school and only do illegal drugs

[-13 Points] iLuvz2bake_n_69:

it is an ACT. not a LAW. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Acts and statutes are COMPLETELY OPTIONAL and rely on your CONSENT to go along with them, same goes for giving others authority over you (including police, judges, etc). this is why they are called Acts of Parliament, not Laws of Parliament. the only law is COMMON LAW. same with the 'misuse of drugs act' etc. COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. know your rights, educate yourself on all this shit. knowledge is power. Legal and Lawful are completely different, Legalese and English are 2 completely different languages that use the exact same words but have completely different meanings. example- when a judge asks you "do you understand?", in English, this means "do you comprehend what I am saying to you?"
in Legalese it means "do you stand under my authority?/give me permission to have authority over you?". also, "you must pay..." means "you may pay...". I could go on an on and on but you get the gist.
