RICH DAD

I've been trying to get into the stock market and the other day I found the RICH DAD seminars on the DNM but I cannot find them anywhere anymore this was literally just a couple days ago. Does anybody know where I can find them?

What are you trying to do in the stock market? Trade? Invest? Go derivatives? Looking to do a long straddle or are you more into the strangle. I tended to go balls to the wall when I traded. Fuck the downside. I'm not scared of the downside. But I can't stand a play where my upside is capped. You can't cap Econ. Source: the bible - Wall Street journal.

Just don't get emotional about money (Gordon Gekko). The worst move I made was buying call options on Network Appliances about 20 points out of the money. Premium on that shit was still like $15 - well that was the options price, premium was technically $35 being so far out of the money. Made a trade for 20 contracts - which is 2,000 options (contract having 100 options). Cost close to $30K. In three hours I couldn't even unload it to a Bernie Madoff client. This is when I first started trading so a $30K loss in a few hours made me sad. I drank a lot that night and put together a strategy to mitigate. When the options expired three weeks later, the stock soared and I sold my options for a $50 profit. What did it teach me? Timing is fuckinf everything. If I waited to buy those options 3 hours later, I'd have made hundreds of thousands, not fifty bucks.

In other words you have to have the stomach for it. Don't trade money you can't afford to lose. Where else have you heard that lesson? I did it for 4 years and couldn't take it anymore. I got tired of staring at a computer screen looking at numbers change and maniacally making phone calls to check on rumors and so afraid to leave to eat lunch Bc I didn't want to miss something big. This was before things were mobile like now. So I stayed glued to my desk during trading hours. I made a foray into currency trading, but literally money never sleeps. Those markets never close. I couldn't do it. Fuck that. I need sleep. I decided to stop doing it and do something else now. What's my stock portfolio look like? Me. I invest in me.

I'll warn you now. The game is rigged. You can make decent money piggy backing off the whales but the game is rigged against anyone who is not a large investor. The way the clearing houses work is a fucking scam. They can go fuck themselves. I made good money doing it but I was playing against a rigged game. We all pretty much are. If you trade just realize that you aren't playing in a level playing field. You can still win but it tires you the fuck out.

But to its credit, it made me feel like a man. It is maybe the only desk job where you can feel like a man. The adrenaline. The gambling aspect. The inevitable alcohol and drugs indulging. Here's the thing. After a bad day, I'd go drink a bar out and make a bunch of bad decisions. And after a good day, I'd go drink the bar out and make a bunch of bad decisions. It was during that time I dated a 19 year old who turned out to be an escort. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I was mainly pissed that I totally missed it. And that's a whole other story.

America and wall street in general is all about momentum and here money is momentum. Unless you have enough behind you, you won't be successful. Wall st employs more than half of the physics and math PhDs cranking out derivatives to make money and that money comes from small fish like you
