Vendor sent me a different edible than what I ordered without notifying me whatsoever

I bought some edible cookies. The vednor sent me a completely different type with along with a message, "Sorry, out of [type]." There was no indication anywhere of what the type I was sent till I opened it. I wish the vendor would of messaged me they were out so I could of picked a different flavor or bought something completely different.

Am I being petty? I'm not sure if this is something to open a dispute over or just leave a meh review.

Not everyone is hanging out on the dnms all day. Would have sucked to come back a few days later to check the status and see it wasnt shipped because they were waiting on a response to see what flavor you want.... Cant please everybody all the time.

Personally, if you're happy with everything except the flavor, I'd just send them a message telling them you'd appreciate being notified next time they intend to substitute and explain you ended up with something you just can't use now. I'd base the review on how they respond.

I would message the vendor and tell him you are gonna leave a 0/5 unless you get the correct type.

He didn't tell you that he was out and and almost tried to dupe you so I would say leave 0/5 and show him who is in control.

I mean if you order a book from amazon and you get a different kind are you gonna stand for that? I wouldn't.

Different with powders of course. But this is more like a pill type issue. If I got the wrong pills I would be mad. Unless they were 30's instead of 512's. But even then I would message the vendor and tell him I got 30's prob by accident.
