Pharmacologic male birth control exist; it's been tested; there's a massive demand. It's illegal.

http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/the-best-birth-control-might-be-for-men-and-no-one-can-have-it

The production and sale of this drug would render massive monetary returns, not to mention being a great public service. Why doesn't anyone do it? Are people trying? Is it already being done? Is the pharmaceutical company just so effectively guarding the formula that no one interested can access it? Any risks to attain it would be well worth the reward, in terms of wealth and/or goodwill.

This shit won't be on many white markets for years, decades.

So much money...ohmyfuckingodsomuchgoddamnmoney

Note for the agorists: This would also increase dependence on --and in many minds legitimize--extrastatists markets, immensely.

All of this big pharma/medical safety stuff aside, I'm just worried that when I cum all over a girl's face and tits will it feel the same? There's nothing quite like that sticky, gooey texture dripping down her face as she just sits there on the bus wondering wtf just happened.

LD50 is 10x ED50 dose. That's a little too close for comfort, at least for me.

And then there is the whole culture of "woman's responsibility" that hangs in the balance of this. Not sure America is ready to deal with this.

I am not taking sides, just stating the obvious as I see it

Uhmm...I haven't read too many of the replies, but I have to say that male contraception has existed for decades. It is called exogenous androgens. This includes testosterone and the majority of its analogues in doses that approximate endogenous titers.

In my youth, I experimented with exogenous androgens and had access to technical grade microscopic analytical equipment (ELI5 = I jerked off and examined my spooge before and after administration of exogenous androgens). Exogenous androgens most certainly decimate spermatogenesis (ELI5 = stops new sperm from forming). This is well documented in the research as well as others' empirical data.

If testosterone and its analogues were marketed as contraception as female hormones are marketed (female birth control is just low dose estrogen/progesterone/analogues); we would see marked drops in birth rates across all population subtypes. How many dudes do you know that are saying, "I can't wait to have a baby,"?

The health risks are less with male birth control. The side effects are less troublesome. The desired effect is more easily reversible - spermatogenesis resumes quickly once androgen therapy is discontinued. We need more tax payers. This is why male contraception (exogenous androgens) is not marketed to this day.

I'm not giving links or studies. This information has existed for literally decades. I didn't even read the vice article. I know these things from first hand knowledge of the substances and quite a bit of formal education.

Androgens don't make your dick smaller. Androgens can temporarily make your balls smaller. This is likely due to a decrease in the need for your boys to function in a physiologically normal manner.

I hope this helps clarify whatever misinformation is likely contained in the vice article.

This sounds like a temporary vasectomy but they write nowhere in the article how long it will last and so on.

Also doesnt it involve injecting something in the penis or the testicles so its not exactlx as convenient as taking a pill.

I treat a bitch like seven-up, never have never will.

[2 Points] Borax:

It's a little more complex than that, since it requires a minor surgical procedure to coat the vas deferens with the gel. It's not a tablet one can just eat.

[2 Points] c4our20:

pull out and bust on her tits. its legal. its free.

[2 Points] poppermachine:

I can access any and all of the compounds mentioned in this thread, they are crazy available if you have the right connections in the right countries. I don't see a black market drug that you stick into your dick that requires medical supervision to reverse ever catching on. I'd buy some of this shit right now if I thought I could make a dime. Do you think I should offer special needles specially made to hurt less while you are impaleing your dick with this compound?

This will never hit the market because Elaine Lissner is a well known and long standing feminist, having dedicated her life to the movement since the 1960's. She is intentionally bombing Vasalgel. I don't believe for a minute that any feminist can truthfully support male contraceptives given the widespread position within the movement that all men would simply use the opportunity to "systematically oppress women". For a feminist to support male contraceptives in any way violates every founding concept of the ideology.

It is entirely up to black market chemists to bring this to the people, it will never be FDA approved. Ever. The feminist lobby is too mind-bendingly powerful. No politician would touch this with another guy's campaign.

But Dr Guha was criticised by the World Health Organisation in the 90s and his studies were temporarily canned, forcing him to start over from scratch.

That's classic. Yeah, Dr. Guha was "critcised by the WHO". The feminists in the audience he was addressing literally booed him off stage. And those "criticisms", yeah, they were feminists screaming that a male contraceptive is a tool used to oppress women by lying - that is, the feminists claimed that men would frequently lie, claiming to be on the BC when they aren't and effectively trapping women by impregnating them.

Yep. They actually used that argument. It's astounding how many feminist arguments about the "patriarchy" are barely-veiled projection of the women's own conniving and manipulative ways. Men don't lie about birth control to entrap a partner; women do. Men don't band together to "systematically oppress women in the workplace"; women do this to men. It's all a bunch of women assuming that, because they would systematically oppress men if given the slightest opportunity, men must be oppressing them since they already have the opportunity.

Edit: did some research on Elaine Lissner, guess what, she's been a feminist since the 60s. Gee, I wonder why she's making such foolish business decisions with Vasalgel. It couldn't possibly be to lend the appearance of attempting to market it while she quietly kills it and, essentially, steals funding from the countless men's rights organizations that fund her company. Naw. If you can figure out how to synthesize it Vasalgel would be a fantastic cash cow in today's digital black market because it will never ever be sold by a pharma co.

[1 Points] JulesVernon:

Synthetic Testosterone can be used as male contraceptive with about 100% success. It's cheap AF too.

[1 Points] Monsieur-Anana:

In India, from where the drug originates, the drug is called Risug. In the United States and India, as well as China and Bangladesh it is being reviewed by the FDA and other organization for legalization by prescription. It is currently in Phase 3 testing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RISUG

[1 Points] ALonelyPlatypus:

This is actually the opposite of monetary returns. It's a simple polymer with a quick injection. One dose every ten years sounds pretty manageable.

[0 Points] None:

It surprises me there's a huge demand for it tbh. As a female and therefore the one left holding the baby, there is not a chance in hell I would trust a man with the responsibility.

It's a pain in the arse but I'd still rather deal with that shit myself.
