[GeneralQuestions] Did I fuck up badly?

Hey, I was in a hurry this morning so I sent a message to a vendor in clear text by accident. I merely asked him to send me an encrypted message containing my address so I can check. Nothing sensitive but I've NEVER communicated via cleartext before so I'm freaked out.

Is it time to burn house?

Your going to "pound me in the ass" prison. Burn your house and your neighborhood down.

As long as there was nothing incriminating or sensitive said via cleartext, you'll be fine. And even if there was, you'll probably still be fine. The only thing you might have to worry about is if the market gets seized and LE gets access to any private messages.

Even if you sent messages in cleartext all the time, you could still realistically get away with it, unless a few circumstances such as..

LE taking control of a vendors account and dont know the private pgp key

market compromised by LE

LE running a market

All are pretty unlikely, but for the few seasons it takes to encrypt a message.. why the fuck not? I AM NOT SAYING DONT USE PGP. ALWAYS USE PGP, ITS STILL NOT WORTH THE RISK.

You are fine. I do something many would regard as stupid and write almost everything in clear text, other the addresses and sensitive information. I dont think its that bad considering theres a record of it anyway, and if you post a review...
