Alright, we've all see how the IRS is clamping down on debit card purchases and forcing bitcoin services to identify all users involved with purchasing or selling bitcoins through these mediums.
As was noted by several member on these forums, chances are they're only targeting those who used bitcoins to speculate on future pricing and profited off their trading without paying any taxes.
However do we realllllly trust that's all the government is going to use their new horde of data for? They lie all the time about what they're really doing. If the purpose of these programs was to completely dismantle the DNMs and catch as many people as possible, i can just about guarantee you theres a 0% chance they would just announce that outright.
With that being said, do we think circle and coinbase purchases are okay for individuals simply buying a few hundred dollars worth of coins here and there to spend on personal (or slightly above) personal amounts of illicit substances? Or should we push for a masse exodus of these USD-> bitcoin services in favor of things like LBC?
Throughout these years I've seen a massive uptick in the frequencies of government agencies spending a lot of time focusing on this stuff. Any thoughts on this subject are more than welcome. What do you think?
Idk about you but I just have a really bad gambling problem
