[Market Inquiry] Am I right in thinking Nucleus automatically PGP-Encrypts your address?

There's a little button that says 'Encrypt in PGP' on the messages. If I put my delivery address in and check that box, will the site detect the vendors PGP and automatically encrypt it?

Probably, but you shouldn't trust it. The whole reason to encrypt your address is to protect it from the marketplace. If they do the encryption for you, they have your unencrypted address at some point. If the marketplace were compromised by LE, then they can save all of those unencrypted messages.

Always encrypt your address with PGP client software running on your own machine.

Never trust a website whether it is igolder.com or the marketplace itself to encrypt your messages. They could be saving unencrypted copies of the messages.

Perhaps it does, but you are a fool to rely on anything other than using PGP yourself. Seriously, though, you'll be thinking "Glad I didnt take 30 minutes to learn something and instead went to jail!"
