Because according to the avengers, Dr X has left the building, busy with his medical practice I presume.
I feel very strange being in the position that I am. Weekly I get users asking for help in finding the right medication for their needs, when perscription medication can no longer be tolerated or afforded. However polite they are, I do sense some desperation in coming to me of all people for medical advice and yet they pour their trust into me.
Usually its for pain, for which I suggest indica strains of weed. If they need to be more alert we work together to find an indica majority hybrid that can be used during the day. If the habit of smoking is not tolerate we look to edibles and concentrates. Many vendors at request, particularly staff request will make small or not so small batches of edibles or oils for these users.
For seizures the specific strain charlette's web is a well known medication.
There are many counterfeit medications available too with exactly the same or similiar active ingredients as the costly perscription medications and these can greatly help stretch a limited income to handle and mitigate a constant expense.
I cannot really describe how this makes me feel, somewhere between good and apprehensive. I have no medical training and have only my best but limited judgement. What if I make a mistake? I try to clear such thoughts from my mind, because if I cannot help there is nobody standing behind me to ask when I have nothing to say and so I have no excuse not to speak.
Thank you for reading, here is some funny stuff now
The other day I was called into a dispute to help speed it up, usually its buyers requesting this but this time it was the vendor. I couldnt actually believe the vendor when he told me why the buyer disputed but I looked at the chat and he was right! The buyer opened a dispute because
the drugs he ordered were too expensive
I had the dispute mod end in favor of the vendor as the buyer had also said it arrived and weighed the correct amount. I gave the buyer a stern talking to about frivilous disputes. Ironically the buyer was right, the product he ordered was very expensive for the quantity, nearly 10 times more costly than I would pay but that is not a valid reason to dispute! It had express shipping though, perhaps worth it?
This one was a while ago but it still makes me laugh. A vendor of ours messaged me with his precidament. A user had asked to buy his vendor account which I should note is against our rules. After some discussion the vendor did the right thing and provided a bitcoin address to the attempting account buyer, to which an amount of bitcoin was deposited and afterwards the vendor told him to fuck off. The user threatened to have him banned. I looked over all the conversations the vendor had with that user and laughed and told the vendor he could keep the money and to ignore that user, who I reminded that it is against our rules to buy or sell someone's alphabay account.
Then I invited a bunch of other staff to some of those conversations to laugh at this rule breaker and his financial loss.
I encourage every user to gladly accept rule breaker's money and then not break any rules themselves.
Another time a buyer was coming to a vendor about a missed sale that he claimed he was owed. Alright thats reasonable enough but he never could provide a sale number. The vendor checked his records and there never were any sales to this buyer at all! He had a very high message count for a buyer, over 400.
As we spoke, the buyer used further and further ambiguous language, and the vendor began inviting me to other conversations with this user. He always ended very post with thanks ab. Which is peculiar but not against our rules. What is however, is claiming to be market staff which this user did, along with vague threats towards the vendor's account.
So I asked him what raspi's favorite color is. Anyone who works at alphabay would know. He said he worked for the darknet not alphabay specifically.
And then he was banned.
Doc here-- believe me, they're not teaching which strains of weed cure which ailment in med school lmao. As crazy as it is, you're probably in a better position to advise on that than any doc. That said, for real shit like seizures.... I'd consider going to a doc for a recommendation on a med that's reproducible and quantifiable.
You're in a weird position yeah, but you may also be in the best place to help some of these people. just don't abuse it. As long as you and they both know this shouldn't be instead of seeing a doctor, and that you're acting with limited information, you should just be advising to the best of your ability. You make clear your own limitations, ppl need to take reposnsibility for themselves beyond that.
