Upgrading OpSec?

About to upgrade my OpSec. Previously never ran tail and just installed Tor to my computer. What should I do to remove all trace's of Tor from my computer before running tails? Complete erase (except for OS) is an option but I wasn't sure if it would be thorough enough. Which level of OpSec would you recommend with monthly 10-100g orders to a different address? And could anyone point me towards a simple step by step to install Tails?

Just buy a $250 burner laptop with cash at Walmart. Should be cheap if you are purchasing 10-100g orders a month. Also be sure to remove the hdd.

Its a bit fucky because you need to run Tails from a CD to run the USB installer. You could probably just use 'dd' under Linux to write the iso to USB eg

dd bs=4M if=tails.iso of=/dev/sdc

You don't need to delete all traces of tor off your computer Tor itself is perfectly legal

I'd be more worried about other DNM-related files like passwords, vendor lists, onion links, etc. But to answer your question, if you are on a Mac, just move Tor to trash and then Finder -> Secure Empty Trash. Same applies for any other files ("Secure Empty" overwrites the data itself so it can't be recovered). Not sure about Windows, because of all the executable crap that gets installed with every program (maybe this has changed since I used Windows XP?).
