Deactivate it.
Reddit now tracking user activity by default.
Deactivate it.

Reddit is becoming more and more dangerous to discuss DN stuff.
Thanks for the information.
[103 Points] murderhomelesspeople:
They're always tracking your activity 24/7. All this really does is stop them from sharing anonymous data for advertising with 3rd parties or using it themselves. It's all still there for them or LE to view it.
[83 Points] ForLol_Serious:
I'll keep it on, I only browse this sub and /r/Pegging so there's not much they can get from me.
[49 Points] TheScientist-273:
Note that these are only offering you to opt out of Reddit using their analytics on you for advertisements.
Unchecking these boxes doesn't mean that they will stop gathering data on you, period. Just limiting in a very narrow case how they use that data.

Good thing I unsubbed to all the porn subreddits i followed when I first made my account this week. I don't want the reddit mods know I love beating it cum covered sluts.

this link doesn't work for me
[3 Points] darkpills:
I think this changes every time you log in from a different device. Or is that something else?
I read about one of those privacy things on reddit and apparently they opt you back in, every time you log in from somewhere else. So I change it on my PC and I log in from my phone and it's activated again. Or what was that function? Also retarded.
[3 Points] catallus2:
I could be wrong, but doesn't this just inhibit the way they can use the tracking for more accurate advertising? I don't think unticking those boxes is going to make any difference to the tracking itself?
The tracking must be shite anyway, reddit hardly has any useful ads.

with his history I wouldn't be surprised if this is a fed that uses links to gather IPs.. might not be true but for whatever strange reason that's my gut feeling

Thanks bro.

Thank you.

You are a gentlemen about protecting ourselves private information .
[1 Points] Immaloner:
You have to do this one every device. I'm guessing then that it's cookie-based so you'll need to either make it persistent or remember every time you clear your cache.
[1 Points] 180K:
What are ads?
[1 Points] ISnortCars:
thank you for posting this, agree this needs to be a sticky for a long time, if not permanently.
