Global Vendor Rating System - Idea

I know The review system on Grams has been horrible lately and I apologize. We constantly update Reddit reviews but never market reviews. There is 3 problems I ran in to with the current system.
1. The ddos protection on markets makes it near impossible to do the scraping I would need to do. 2. The database is becoming very large with all the reviews for every vendor for every market. 3. The markets all have different criteria for reviews/rating systems.

Proposed new system.

The new system I want to create would require the markets to work with me, but I think it would benefit the community greatly.
Here is how it would work.

Standardized system for only vendors

A new standardize rating system based on the Grams current star ratings would need to be agreed upon between markets that wish to participate. It would utilize these rules.

With these rules it would help deter fraud and wouldn't bump down a vendors score if one user decided to post a lot of negative reviews. The markets could still allow multiple reviews per user to a single vendor, but my system would only pick up the most recent and replace the old rating from said user to said vendor in the system.

Making it work with the markets.

This is going be beneficial to the markets as well.

brain storm thoughts

Some other ideas that could be implemented

Conclusion

This is just idea I have been working on. I would like to know the community's thoughts on it. Also it will never work with out market participation. So if you run a market please contact me through the normal channels so we can get to work on this.

As always stay safe,

I really like this idea!

This is a really cool idea. I have noticed vendors who I know are scamming noobs become quite reputable on some markets. They can only do this because there is no global rating and so their bad reputation does not follow them.

The reviewer would have to have their pgp key lined to the review.

Not sure that will work. How would they link the key, unless you mean just scraping it from their profile? This is bad for noob users as far too many contaminate their online identities with their real identities (eg. use their gmail account as their email for gpg, I've seen this far too often). It's really dumb but seems hard to wipe out. Grams would have an unusual amount of access to a lot of data.

I support a new central system for DNM vendor reviews on TOR

How are you going to convince the market owners to put time and effort into something that is for your gain only(as the operator of grams the google of the darknet)

established markets won't care about changing the system.

1 rating per user (reviewer) per Vendor.

this would mean feedback needs to be transparent, at least to your database. on most marketplaces feedback is anonymous, and that is for good reasons. your database would allow to profile buyers.

It's a nice idea, shilling is becoming a massive problem and we need solutions. It'll be interesting to see if all the markets wanna get on board for this.

Great in theory, but if I were a DNM admin there's no way this would be worth the added exposure/security risks.

Answers for your problems (ordered how you did at the beginning of your post) 1) Solve the DDOS protection issue by getting a buttload more IPs 2) Optimize your database and organize it. Make each market a different table, or purge the dead markets' reviews. 3) If a particular piece of data is unavailable, you can write "N/A" or "N/R" (Not Reported) :P

Sorry to be a negative nelly... I really do applaud what you are doing and wish you the best of luck!

Are the DDOS protections that problematic with scraping the markets? I am also working on scraping markets (use decaptcher services to circumvent ddos protections) Is this not possible?
