Disclaimer: I apologize for the novelpost and realize that I might not possess the savvy or intelligence to be involved with this shit to begin with.
As someone who's been getting their feet wet with DNM use over the past year or so, I often find myself thinking about the manner in which I've compromised my OPSEC. I've made some massive fuck-ups, and I'm not quite sure how to mitigate the impact of these mistakes moving forward. Looking for some critique on my thought process. I'm most concerned about the following:
-Coordinated one DNM purchase over Facebook messaging.
-Coordinated several small scale irl deals over Facebook messaging (<5 times)
-Discussed drug use extensively over Facebook messaging (maybe not necessarily bad OPSEC but not good either)
-Used my personal cell (text and voice) to sell small amounts of weed. Discussion of drug use as well.
-Informing 6 friends (4 of whom are also DNM users in some capacity) of my DNM use in person.
Step 1 will be deleting my Facebook. Not sure if it would do any good at this point, but it couldn't hurt. Furthermore, I will never discuss buying/selling drugs over such a medium again. For what it's worth, what are the chances that documented evidence of DNM activity (or general drug dealing) from months ago could be used to support a hypothetical future prosecution?
Step 2 is acquiring a burner for any irl drug activity, and preferably using encrypted messaging services whenever possible. No more shady business on the personal cell.
I don't intend on telling anyone about DNMs in the future, and I won't be discussing it any further with the people who already know.
Am I already fucked? If not, what further measures should I take to protect myself? Up until this point I've only been buying for personal use and a very small circle of friends, but I'd like to have the flexibility to consider expanding.
Please feel free to share your own experiences and the lessons you've learned.
EDIT: For the sake of clarity, I'm aware that using Facebook for anything DNM related is the quintessential OPSEC nightmare. Me and my idiot friends were new to the scene and didn't stop for two seconds to think about what we were doing. At this point, it's all about damage control.
