Vendor's account got hacked, and I foolishly FE'd to the scammer, who took the money and ran. Is this common?

This happened on Abraxas. I'm new to shopping on darknet markets; this was my first purchase, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I ordered from vendor with good reviews, and it seemed legit enough. A couple days later, I come across an update to their vendor profile saying that their account had been hacked and ~$2300 in fake transactions had been made using their account before they were able to recover it.

My question is, does this sort of thing happen often, even with reputable vendors? I've made a couple other buys since then and they've arrived, but I don't want to get burned again (even though this was partly my own fault).

It happens. I've never had it happen to me.

DONT FE. CANT STRESS ENOUGH. ESPECIALLY IF YOURE NEW TO THE MARKETS AND DONT HAVE A WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE VENDOR.

you would have to be a complete moron to buy again from this vendor, if they are legitimate they will refund you the money lost, if they don't they lied about the account being hacked and are scammers

They also got the vendors pin? sounds super fishy, its one thing to get the PW, its another to get the vendors PIN#. Which vendor was it?
