How to stop the take downs of Darknet Market Places, a community effort.

Hey all so it's become clear that the current method of hosting darknet websites is not reliable to circumvent take downs by the FBI and such.

DNMs are reliant on a crucial technology to enable anonymous transactions, cryptocurrencies. But I feel the darknet community as a whole has been neglecting the driving force behind cryptocurrency, Blockchain technology.

There exists blockchains such as SHIFT which make use of IPFS to host static websites, Lisk, and more.

Think about it, a darknetmarket hosted on a blockchain using IPFS. Not only would this make taking down the website supremely hard, it would also make detection of who runs the site harder, and help mitigate opsec screw ups.

We suffered a great loss to the community (Hansa and Alphabay) and I think it's time the community comes together to clean up the mess and change the game.

I truly believe a fully decentralized, anonymous, and take down resistant marketplace could be created using blockchain technology.

We can rid centralized administrators removing exit scam risks by open sourcing and blockchain darknetmarket design and hosting.

Edit:

What I'm proposing is that instead of a website behind made by a single person or small group of people who can do whatever they want is that some sort of committee is established with the sole purpose of designing an open-source darknetmarket running on Blockchain technology.

Until this happens we will continuously face take downs and more. This is the way of the future for darknetmarkets and for the sake of everyone in the DNM community it's time to get started before it's too late

Decenterilzaion needs to happen or else market takeovers like this will continue.

Please upvote and bump. It's time that we as a community come together and change how we operate and the time is NOW. Do it before it's too late.

Why is nobody talking about Open Bazzar?

Opsec needs to be improved too, for the protection of the users. Monero should always be an option for DNMs.

SHIFT is too new. It hasn't been vetted to the extent that Tor and Bitcoin have. It may be 100% safe, but it might have a critical flaw leading to potential DOS or worse de-anonymization.

Seemingly the general concept of decentralized markets is the answer, but that's what OpenBazzar was meant to be. Why don't we contribute to that project?

I understand how to use IPFS for static content. How would you propose it for stuff that needs state (like orders)?

I think this is a great idea and people should start working together on something like this. Myself, I would be happy to contribute.

I'm a solidity and python developer, with a unix+linux sys admin background.

Kind of exists already but nobody uses it DropZone

OpenBazaar 2.0 is in its alpha stages with a full release will be ready in a few months. just a waiting game at this stage.

Instead of decentralization, why doesn't someone create something like a Craigslist for drugs? That way people can communicate and exchange money outside of a centralized location.

Also a good idea might be no USA deals. No shipping to USA. No vendors from USA. Yes i know there's lots of income gone, but the longevity would be good. Plus better server locations.

All these ideas can make the right people millions....... ;)
