DDoS seeems to have stopped. Try not to overflow the servers, but go check and I assure you your money is there

BEFORE EVERYTHING FREAKS OUT AND THINKS THEY ARE STEALING OUR MONEY

Read this:

The fact that some users can currently "occasionally" connect, as well as the return of the 502, strongly suggests that they are under DDoS attack. This happened a couple of days ago, and they came back up. This also happened/happening to SR2.0.

Why is someone DDoS'ing it? Maybe it's the government (although I doubt it). I believe it's just another smaller market trying to decrease access to the larger ones so they can gain a customer base.

So when this is over, (hours, maybe even tomorrow), log on, you're fine. READ THEIR SECURITY. They seem to be in it for the good reasons. They suggest to keep as little money in our wallets as possible, and even creat a limit (this is very unlikely behaviour for someone who is going to hack us). Also, the are planning to implement i2P escrow, which would take the ability to hack escrow out of their hands. Again, not something a traditional "hacker" would do.

So, this is most likly a DDoS attack that we must wait out. Hoefully not too long. And I hope that they are not able to take any bitcoins from TorMarket (even though most are stored off-line and are safe). It is a possibliity but not likely. Also, in previous occurencies when a vendor found a way to steal an undisclosed amount of BTC, the admints repayed the victims "out of their own pocket." Again, not likely to be setting us up for a hack.

Of course, there are two dangerous options:

1) This could be a very very clever ploy on their part to gain our trust, and eventually run with out bitcoins. However, since there is a max amount of BTC you can store in your account and i2P escrow will be implemented, they would make off with much less than previous events (SMP, ATLANTIS, BMR (evn though it was not the admins fault))

2) A vendor/seller COULD discover a loop whole in their system and take all of the bitcoins. This is ALWAYS a possiblity with EVERY black market, so you have to decide for your self wither the risk is worth the merrit. Again, FlowMarket seems to be mitigating this risk by off-line storage of BTC.

So: do you trust FloMarket? Of course, it's up to you. But from what I've read, I certainly do. I'm anxious for this DDoS to finish.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN

[1 Points] Analyticalotter:

Maybe those nice men will set up a countdown timer telling me when all those coins I left in my account will be released! /s

Assuming the worst, hats off to all vendors out there paying for bonds and losing money in escrow. It's a tough and thankless job.

[1 Points] skatedab99:

yea that just happened....

[1 Points] Hctim-:

Will it be back up?

[1 Points] ChronicPessimism:

TorMarket mods updating this thread, looks like some BTC was lost, but any losses will be reimbursed by staff! Seems to me like these are standup people, they come off as very professional too
