Getting bitcoins through cash deposit on localbitcoins

I have been getting bitcoins through localbitcoins using cash deposits. Is this a good way to keep anonymity? As far as I can see, the coins are not linked to me in any way. The cash is deposited without a name/ID and I am given bitcoins through this. I found this to be the best way being that fact that the cash I deposit into someone else's account is not linked to me what-so-ever. However, I have found that some bank tellers get uneasy when someone pulls out their phone to get the bank info from, and sometimes they ask me what it is for. Is it bad if I tell them I am buying bitcoin?

I do not have access to a libertyx store, so that is not an option.

Is there another secure way to get BTC?

Go to the little writing counter with deposit slips, fill out acct # and name, hand the slip and the cash to the teller. If they ask nosy questions just smile at them and keep your trap shut.
