mailing stuff from DNM with different name. thoughts?

hi guys, just wondering what everyones thoughts on this is: i still get legitimate mail at my apartment from the last tenant who was here. wouldnt it be a good idea to get stuff shipped from DNMs in his or her name? then if, knock on wood, any type of controlled delivery ever happens, ill just be like "uh i get mail for X all the time. they dont live here anymore. just take the package back". seems pretty foolproof to me

Bad idea because what if the former tennant switches on mail forwarding?

This might be an actual method used and backfired:

The drugs were apparently bound for the woman’s former address, which is now vacant. Due to a misspelling, the package was flagged by the post office and redirected to the woman’s current address.

doesn't say mail forwarding, but any simple mistakes can be detrimental to your freedom. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/oxycodone-in-mail-yoga-mat_us_59d5d794e4b0becae802621d

Bad idea. Having junk mail delivered to a name is different than having packages and priority mail show up. Your mailman might notice. Plus you never know with mail forwarding and things. That story a while back where a lady got a surprise package of 20k fake oxycodone pills? It was ordered to her old apartment in her name but forwarded to her at new address.

You could use the search function to figure out that this is a terrible idea.

Yes do it. Start with something small. Or buy some cheap thing from eBay or aliexpress as a test run. Then you can just say it's old tenant you don't have contact with anymore if shit hits the fan.

Just don't order anything you need to sign for.

Something with just a post stamp on it and you'll be fine
