Noob here. I just experienced a controlled delivery. Money is in escrow. Who gets the BTC?

I purchased an LB from a vendor, and after not arriving for about a week, 2 police delivered the package.

What I would like to know is. . . do I get my money back? Or does the vendor get paid?

I have never had a CD before. So I have no reason to believe my address was under special watch. This was my first DNM purchase.

Edit:

I did not want to say too much, and possibly admit any guilt. But here is what I can say:

I was expecting a full unit of weed to be delivered about 3 days ago. So, it was running late. Today at 9 am, I got a knock on my door. Two police officers identified themselves (I honestly forgot what agency they even said. They were not in uniform. It was more like "Officer/Agent/Mr. Landowski, sorry to bother you. Do you know anyone from the west coast?"

So, I was obviously shocked. I replied with:

"What? No."

To which they responded with:

"We have a package from XXXXXXXX,XX with your name on it. Do you mind if we open it?"

I told them

"Well, I don't know anyone from anywhere near that location. So, I don't care what you do with it."

"So we have your permission to open it?"

"Yes"

Inside was what appeared to be a vacuum sealed bag with something unknown and lumpy inside. I couldn't tell because it was black.

The officers told me that sometimes neighborhood kids will have packages sent to neighbors houses while they work, and will try to take the package off the porch. And that is probably all it was.

They thanked me and left.

They did not even leave a card.

Update:

This morning, after thinking it all over, I decided to release escrow and give the vendor his money for the product he shipped me.

After release, I asked him if there was anything that could be done in terms of re-ship or refund. He assured me that if I got a new drop address and continued to purchase from him, that he would reimburse be, gradually, with additional product, until I recouped my losses.

This is fair in my mind, and I will continue to use this vendor until I am forced to choose another.

Sorry to everyone I upset.

Wait.

You just got a controlled delivery and you are worried about getting a refund?

What happened? Did you get arrested? Did they search your house?

Lol damn wtf first DNM purchase and you get CD. What happened. It's kind of hard to believe they just let you go.

[4 Points] uEbrjuZxTDEwVhqS:

Let's just pretend like you aren't bullshitting and the police seized a POUND in a non-legal state, but you somehow didn't get arrested, or your door kicked in. I mean, it's not an eighth, that's distribution quantity in any state, including the legal ones.

Let's instead just pretend that you didn't get the package because it got "lost in the mail". You said the vendor said it said "return to sender" on the tracking, so in that case, you would just open a dispute for non-delivery, regardless of the reason.

Unless you FE'd.

Sounds like someone wants a free pound.

Which vendor was it? Should to added to my not-to-buy-from list.

[2 Points] 2005C:

This has been an interesting read, for sure. I think the equitable thing to do is split the loss with the vendor. It was nobody's fault, you didn't get your product. Work it out with the vendor. Don't FE until you come to an agreement. You might have to dispute it and ask the market admin's to split it 50-50.

They must have their eye on someone else nearby and thought you were a patsy...hard to beleive, but you lucked the fuck out man. Good for you.

I'm probably gonna get shit for this, but it doesn't sound like they showed you any ID correct? They didn't leave you a business card,or any kind of papers with there information on it? They didn't question you and they walked off with your shit? Dude you just get punked? Does anyone know that you were expecting this? Is there anyway that someone with USPS figured out what was in it,and set up a scam to rip you off? It all sounds fishy as hell to me. Just a thought, but maybe you just got played somehow.

HumboldtFarms?

Lol this post is such bullshit

[1 Points] procowtipper:

Plot twist: The "officers" are the type of neighborhood kids that have packages sent to neighbor's houses while they work, and will try to take the package off the porch.

[0 Points] TheGateKeepah:

Sounds like you're trying to scam a vendor. You were looking for "Fullz" the other day, now you say your LB got confiscated AND you want the BTC back.

One of the DNM Commandments: Don't put up a sum of money you aren't prepared to lose.

[0 Points] ForeverHungg:

Damn you lucky fuck. I have also experienced a controlled delivery. I too danced my way out of big trouble but wow (WOW!) they just gave you a get out of jail free card. You have a guardian angel somewhere.

What is this?

[0 Points] None:

What is a "unit" of weed?

[0 Points] loveletterreceiver:

That wasn't a CD, two guys in the mail system just fleeced your weed......possibly

There is no set procedure for a CD, as the buyer is too busy fighting a legal battle to care about a refund, there's no way the vendor is gonna take less than 100% as this sounds like you're trying to scam.
