Sent LTC to a SR wallet?

Hey all,

I was teaching my pal how to use SilkRoad, he was waiting for verification from BitStamp so he went up the road - he messeged me later to say he had transfered 60 LTC from BTC-E straight into my SR account!

I'm surprised it even accepted them! What can I do here? Are the coins lost?

lol wow.

I would consider them lost. Even if they were recoverabable I doubt the market will give them back. Thats like jamming quarters into the billl accepter at the atm eand expecting a credit.

probably, the markets dont use ltc

you shouldn't be able to, there's a checksum when you enter a BTC/LTC address.. most likely the coins are still on btc-e.. correct me if I'm wrong

first of all... why are you even using SR to begin with?

second... if they are willing to help you recover the coins, have them create a copy of their BTC wallet.dat file and then use that copy to replace the wallet.dat for an LTC wallet. I've heard of that working (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. it's a bit of a crap shoot) to recover coins in instances where someone sent altcoins to an exchange but to the wrong wallet.
