DNM reddit neighborhood watch

I posted this in a thread a few days ago from @u/@towadi0 and @Pelican_Vendor so it may be buried So I'll ask the community. They both posted some amazing LE and legal info that's transpired since the 20th takedown. I am suggesting we as a community take this info which lists arrests and investigations, and make it a sticky. And from now until the end of time let's all post every arrests and Investigation that in some way can be linked to the AB/hansa takedown. I'm sure many out there would like to see the fallout if any as they share info and work on servers, especially as this could be months or even years before they get anywhere. Hopefully the statute runs out before they get it all. Thoughts?

Whoa, that's an OUTSTANDING idea ! I've long had a similar idea when it comes to traffic safety, as in when they mention a wreck, include the details of "what went wrong, who's fault it was, what could have been done to prevent it, etc.

Because people are always asking the same questions all the time anyway, and by the sound of it Belize is starting to get a little crowded, so yea, I say put all the details available that you can out there, and a sticky on the sidebar sounds like a good idea.

All in favor ? ....All opposed ?

Gwern has it on his website other then this last bust look at gwern.net

I would definitely be game for this. When I browsed the past takedowns on gwern.net it listed no arrests for any personal buyers of marijuana, but just recently I saw a news article about someone getting busted for 30 grams which definitely is much less than the "half pound" reddit consensus of what a LE threshhold would be. I want to see which takedowns are from non-PGP encryption, which takedowns are from blockchain analysis, and what percentage of people that would have avoided being arrested had they followed our guides to a T. I think that would help educate the community a lot, a not serve to only scare us. Honestly it's quite fucked up that the dnm were something like 10%of the drug trade but are getting so much focus from federal. Just legalize this all and allow it to be regulated out in the open, feds!

In principle: For. In practice: Against. It's like an open-invitation for all the pranksters and doomsayers to snag a ton of unrelated, unverified info that will drown the moderators and make them run, screaming, to the Ozarks. If they stay, they'll get so sick of it that they won't even expend any effort into trying to stem the tide by looking into the veracity of many of the claims. It'll increase paranoia and ill-intentioned (e.g., doctored/fake documents) FUD.

I like your thinking (and please continue), but just not this idea.
