It'll be interesting. UnfortuBtely the governments view of the cloud is not something that helps privacy. Many lower courts have compared data on the cloud as putting trash on the curb from a search perspective. Of course this deals with data held offshore so slightly different but hugely impactful. At some point the government has to ask itself if pursuing these types of cases are worth the price to US companies. The U.S. Would be ineffectual in international competition should the courts rule the wrong way.
