Why does Alphabay allow low ranking possibly dodgy vendors to bypass escrow system?

I've just got scammed by some lowlife pond scum of a vendor on Alphabay called 'Cocastraunch' and what surprises me is that this scammer had only built up 200 deals, seems to me that it's pretty easy to fool the admins here.

Register account and let it sit for a few months, then build up a couple of hundred deals, some probably fake, then apply for FE allowed and scam until you get caught.

They should have a minimum of 750 deals before any vendor can get 'FE allowed' status.

Commission generated by scammers is still commission.

750 deals? That's $200,000 I would have had to trust alphabay to look after.

Don't blame alphabay. You atre the one who decided to finalize before you received your drugs. A vendor can no more force you to FE for them than you can force them all to use escrow.

Don't feed scammers by giving them bitcoin. Exit scammers are nothing like real vendors nowadays - they copy the profiles of other scammers they admire, all stealth and reship policy and creepy "stay safe, people" sign-offs.

"By ordering from "us" you agree the above terms and conditions"

Er, no. Only if you send me exactly what's in that photo.

By the way, if you trust alphabay with your bitcoin more than a vendor, no wonder things are in a mess. You want to give (and I'm sure alphabay's founders won't object to this) professional fraudsters the power to insist on looking after everybody's money "for safekeeping", just because you need a chaperone to buy drugs?.

You've realised that you can't trust your own judgement and you need help from alphabay. That's fine, but don't force your poor judgement onto others.

We tried to forbid FE, but the reaction of major vendors was "if I can't FE, I won't vend here". We had no choice but to adapt ourselves to the market. However we are considering increasing the requirements to ask for FE.

It's best to never FE unless you have a history with a vendor. Just go find another vendor if they require FE and you don't know them yet. If you ever do FE, don't FE with money you can't afford to lose. And if deals are too good to be true, they are.

[2 Points] None:

Oh hey. You. You who FE'd. Don't fucking FE.

I don't care if they are allowed. I don't care if it's your mum and she promised on your nan's life shes 2legit2quit. Don't fucking FE.

[1 Points] None:

Agreed. Been on the markets since 2012 and I still don't understand why FE is ever allowed in any situation. It's almost always an exit scam or a vendor who is selling garbage. Also provides no incentive for vendors to ship products on time.

Why not make it so buyers are forced to FE until they have 100 deals? Seems about as reasonable.
