Running tails on a university computer?

So I've got tails on a usb stick, but I can't get my computer to boot it up. I'm in college so I went to one of the computer labs and tried it there and was able to do it, so the problem is definitely my computer and not the usb/file. My question is, is it safe to boot tails on a university computer? As soon as I saw it was working I shut the computer down and set windows back up-I'm wondering if that's something my school's tech services would be able to detect, or if they'd be able to see that I was on a market somehow. Is that possible? EDIT: Obviously there would be an additional risk of someone peeking over my shoulder, but I'd be very wary of that.

Nobody in this thread seems to know what they're talking about. The first thing you should determine is if Tails actually works on your university's computers. The reason I say that is because many school networks require some kind of authentication before you're granted access to the internet.

If Tails does work, here are the only risks:

The whole point of Tails is to mask that you were ever on it, so I would say that you can safely use it.

If the bios is locked, you wouldn't be able to boot from your cd or USB, and any large organization with a dedicated IT staff will likely do that.
