Darknet future: dead drops

Dead drops

Today with mobile devices and Internet we have almost instant access to limitless amount of information. Everything becomes so much closer and more accessible. Food, clothes, electronis, books. just about everything is just a few minutes/hours away from us any time we need it.

Darknet showed it's efficiency on black market. While it is still in it's infancy stage it is perfectly clear where things are headed.

Let's take "dead drop delivery" for example. "Dead drop delivery" is not that well known method as mail delivery but it's potential is limitless. It will make you forget about such things as:

"Dead drop" delivery allows you to choose an item, purchase it and pick up, all of this within minutes/hours.

This method could significantly drive sales higher because it's core audience are people who buy their stuff on streets anyways. It would not only drive sales up but bring new audience to markets. Dead drops today are reality and they are optimal for both vendors and buyers.

Unlike with mail packages you don't have to deal with postal system and face risks associated with it. Vendors would choose optimal location and way to stash dead drop packages and buyers would choose vendors based on reviews, ratings and location. Buyers would get dead drop location description and image immediately after payment and they are free to pick up the package the way they want.

It's much more convenient way for tourists because it's practically instantaneous.

There are markets that offer such functionality and they constantly prove that dead drops delivery works and works great.

Just think about it and why you're not using it yet/. All fears are just in your heads.

let me go to an unfamiliar place to pickup my drugs.. ya, no thanks

[11 Points] VegetableRapist:

This would severely limit the area that each dealer is able to serve. Instead of an entire nation the dealer would be limited to how far they/the customer is willing to drive

I've considered the possibility of a service like this before, the main issues I could think of were:

[3 Points] None:

This is basically the equivalent of just buying locally with secured electronic communication.

[2 Points] myNameIsLucille:

That wouldn't work in the US, at least. It severely limits the area that a vendor is able to serve. There are vendors that ship from California/Canada/Colorado/Vermont They wouldn't be able to reach me in wherever I live, say, Kentucky/Arkansas/Minnesota. What if I lived in the buttfuck middle of nowhere? With the postal system, I could still buy drugs. With dead drops, I can't.

Now, if you're suggesting this as an addition to already existing methods of delivery... still no. It would be a fair amount of work for the vendor's drivers, and it wouldn't generate that much of a benefit. It's simply not a feasible service in a country like the US. In other countries, perhaps. But not the US.

Sounds like I'm just calling up a local trap lord. The whole point of the DN is to stay off the streets. Stop playing Splinter Cell haha.

Sounds good, but is suitable only for smart people .. most vendors will not dare because of the small demand, and certainly would have been a fairy tale. Especially in traveling.

Very Russian, but I must say that seems it works pretty successfully there

This might be a great way to start out as a local vendor. Advertise on twitter or locally with guerilla flyer and stickering all around. You create a little website (TOR or Clearnet) and when people pay for their product, you drop it off somewhere randomly, send them a picture with GPS and have them pick it up. There is no future in dead drops in the current Darknet scene, but the local scene might really benefit off it. I have been thinking of pulling it off.

how would this allow me to connect with people that live a long way away from me? if you can answer that OP, ill love you forever.

[1 Points] sillysally11:

I love the idea of dead drops, especially when my go to vendor is a 20 minute drive away.

I always dream about having him as an IRL connect, how awesome it'd be to just be able to shoot out and grab the stuff right away and not have to pay for xpress shipping.

[1 Points] repogt:

In a big cities, where many smokers, it will be convenient. Coffeeshops without barman, everything is at hand when he wanted!

[1 Points] tornado999:

good idea, i think, but for this idea you must have honest and proven vendors and site of sales, which regulate and eliminates vendors
