This is a little different in that I didn't write a review just when I got them in order to get freebies and it's been a little over a month since the order. I'm not intending to slam because I was wronged nor suck up in hopes of further rewards. In other words, an actual review.
I bought Netflix. It took just a hair under the advertized 24h, though the markets were having some issue or another during.
I received five accounts, all five logging in. The message they came with said to use them one by one, not leaving them signed in, not changing logins, etc. It also stated that the lifetime guarantee is actually one year, if it's been longer don't even bother asking (I wasn't exactly expecting even that, so no big but that's apparently the cutoff) and that asking for fresh ones need date of ordering, account name and what was bought (all reasonable requests).
I used them very sparingly, in part because I didn't think this through all that well ahead of time and now that they were here, I realized that it's a lot less convenience than you'd think to use one without being obvious. The first immediately spawned a sub-account saying to get off it (along with visible activity from one or more other users), then stopped working. The next one held up for a week or so, though I didn't check often enough to know exactly. Just now a month later, I rechecked the rest as the kids were interested in a few things that were mostly there (honestly, the rest of the time it's just been more convenient to torrent and throw it on the common media server - again something I didn't think about before). One of them is still working, the other four are not.
As not all of them are yet dead, I have no idea if the offer of renewal still stands (I'm going to assume it probably does, they're fairly low hanging fruit after all) though I figured it might interest people that this is around the rate they drop off, half life around two weeks. So while it's still not a terrible deal, compare it as $5 for ~ 1-1,5 months before needing to try to request more accts while being careful about use (with $8 per month (no more, no less) being the price if buying them legally).
I probably won't use it again, though I'd definitely consider HBO, Dish or one of the porn ones - Netflix as a whole is more of a service of convenience as most of the content can be had elsewhere for free and this path of jacking an acct kind of kills said convenience. However, it is/was no more or less than what was stated in the ad so none of this reflects badly on CipherCracks. There's just a big void in terms of users mentioning the downsides to this arrangement after the fact, so I figured they should be mentioned so that people can make their own calls.
yeah i bought a porno subscription from him. my porno subscription was for one of those pass sites that gives access to dozens of other sites. However, each login he gave mostly dealt with odd fetish stuff and gay/shemale crap. he refunded me when i asked him a question about that. still, the logins still worked and one of them was actually to something fappable and i was able to download about 60 gigs before it stopped working 2 days later. i can't post a review because he cancelled the order. but browsing reddit, i find this thread, so here's a little more info for those of you who are wondering...
CipherCracks = false advertising.
Direct quote from his listing: "I will offer a lifetime warranty on these accounts. By purchasing from me, you will get 2-3 working accounts that will not be sent to anyone else, guaranteed.
basically when you buy a "LIFETIME" account from him, he gives you a list of 20something logins. you can see that it is obvious that other people are using it because when you login, you can check the history. even though he advertises LIFETIME warranty, here is a cut&paste of a section of his Terms of Service that he messages you with the logins:
"REPLACEMENTS:
If your accounts stop working for any reason, I will replace as long as you send me the following information:
NOTE #1: I will not replace accounts for customers that give less than 5/5 feedback. NOTE #2: Please only request a replacement account if ALL of your accounts die (I will always have them replaced within 2-3 hours). "
LIFETIME = 12 months and if you give less than 5/5, you're screwed since by the time you get the list of logins, half are already not working. a few days later, the rest no longer work either.
