Kind of urgent! Delivery from overseas requesting signature

Got a notice in the mailbox saying to come and pick up or reschedule delivery of a package from a vendor overseas. It passed through customs in two days, and the vendor doesn't require signature. Do I need to clean out the home and prepare for a search warrant? Should I pick it up? It is a relatively small delivery of research chemicals delivered to the USA. Thanks guys.

Fill out the card to reschedule delivery with a note on it to leave the package on the porch (or wherever). They don't care just don't want it to get stolen usually. If you go to the post office to pick it up you'll have to show if and possibly sign for it.

Call USPS, tell them you are out of town for a day, and ask if the box could be re-delivered and just left on back porch or wherever (NOTE : you will need tracking to ask for a re-delivery). Obviously clean house, don't prepare for a warrant.

Lube up and then go collect it.

Seriously though, if it were me I would go and collect it if it was £100 or more, any less, id probably just leave it. All depends what was in the package.

Just go get it dude. If they wanted to fuck you they would have fucked you. Go get your pack.

What carrier, and what type of shipping speed? If it was something like EMS (express shipping) it pretty much always requires a signature. If you have received packs from this type of carrier AND shipping type before without a signature then I'd be weary.

Definitely be suspicious though. I would NOT go to the post office and collect. Wait for the postman to come back, they usually try several times.

When he comes - is it your usual mailman? Do you recognize him? Is he being forceful with you to sign the package and push it into your hands? Does he wait a long time at your door and bang on it? Does he ask for ID before signing even though you're in your house? Usually postman are in a rush. Notice anything fishy? Any cars you havent seen before? Typically american cars with tinted windows?

Are you sure the RC isn't a scheduled one? Is it something hot like a fent analog? If it's not scheduled I'd be a little calmer but it's always possible they could try to pin you with the analog act.

It might not be worth it. Lots of questions you need to ask yourself.

All international registered mail needs to be signed for. Every time.

Most overseas packs need sig... You can typically leave the note on your door saying leave without signature. I know DHL always requires a sig... Once you leave the note once they will always just leave your packs there without bothering you.. Worse come to worse just clean house, get it, leave it for a couple hours on your table and if they come knocking be like "oh I had no idea what this was, thought it was a gift, here officer take the closed pack I had no clue." and then if they go to search you they find nothing and any lawyer can get you off... I have only ever had 1 overseas pack not require a sig and it's cause it was a flat envelope that looked like junk mail.

So did you get it? You'll be fine. I've picked up shady looking packs from overseas several times before. Look confident and they'll have no reason to be suspicious.

Research Chemicals you say? I say bring the police along in case Mr. Postman trys to keep it for himself. And if the cops ask what it is, say Research Chemicals. They will give you an escort, an escort to the local station to help you research!
