Payment window ended before tumbler finished

Okay so I just spent about $180 on coin and spent like $120 from my helix wallet. There was a one time payment on oasis that has a 90 minute window, and the payment took much longer to process than this, like I woke up to it being completed and sent to an address that is no longer linked to any payment.... I went to helix to fix this last night but I have no clue when they will answer to fix this mistake if they will even look into it. I really would hate to lose $120 simply because helix took far to long to exchange money.

Who else can I talk to, would Oasis know how to fix this?

This is another good reason to manage your own "clean" and "dirty" wallets that you maintain control over, but that requires some careful operations. For instance, you buy coins in whatever way (often associated with your real name), open your "clean" wallet and copy out a receiving address or three, close your wallet and optionally reboot, move the wallet file(s) from their expected location in your home directory (this is important), wait anywhere from fifteen minutes to a couple of days, re-open the wallet program which is now totally naive to any previous wallets, restore your "dirty" wallet (that contains your non-anonymous coin that you bought earlier), send them through a tumbler to your "clean" wallet, and then they're sitting there ready to use immediately whenever needed.

However, keeping the wallets completely isolated from one another is important and requires discipline. If you restore one wallet while the program already has another one active, the server(s) your wallet connects to will immediately be able to tell that they are owned by the same person. This is why you must close the program and completely remove the wallet data from the program's expected location before re-opening it - each wallet requires a "fresh start" as far as the program is concerned.

By maintaining two (or more) wallets in this way, you are never rushed and can keep a surplus of "clean" coins ready whenever you need them, should the price fluctuate or if a killer sale pops up, whatever. And of course, it reduces the delays to endure in situations like this. Finally, it also allows you to introduce more latency into your coin anonymizing process (e.g., using Helix and not Helix Light), which I highly recommend and adds enormously to the anonymity granted. Latency is a very important ally of anonymity - for that reason, it can also be helpful to put some delays between when you open a different wallet, etc.

using monero would save you headaches like this one.

Do you know how long it took? Just wondering cause I've been waiting 8 hours for Helix light to tumble my coins. It still says processing, I think there's a reddit account for Helix so hopefully they get on here. I emailed support like 5 hours ago and haven't gotten a response yet. I've never had this happen before so it's really annoying.

Sorry about that, we had server issues last night and payments were delayed by up to 6 hours for some people. /u/oasismarket should be able to get your coins to you. If not let me know. Also You should always send to a wallet you own like electrum from a tumbler.
