I know this will be an unpopular opinion but USPS has really gone out of there way for me.
The most impressive was a 1day Express pack (clearnet, 100% legal). Welll I called about 30 mins before there sat noon closing ask it status and they said it got sent to the PO few towns over instead of my local one.
I expressed that they were medical supplies in there that I needed for dressing changes and. A nurse was coming tomorrow (sun) and needed the specialized medical supllies.
Lo and behold they sent the local postmaster to pick it up and then called me to tell it was now in my box. They said if I came after close (12) to knock and someone could get it for me.
The next one while not as mind blowing is I had a packaged taking a tour of the east cost, 1 state at a time. After 4 days I opened incident report, and every day I kept calling ask-usps about it status. They continually provided me with updates and got it to me in 2 more days. Mean while the outfit I ordered from felt so bad they overnighted a replacement order.
In all of this I was very polite and undertsanding. You catch more flies with honey.
The first example blew my mind. That was above an beyond. They made a special trip just to make sure I had said product in time.
Keep in mind I live in a more rural area so some of the Norman Rockwell spirit is alive and well.
You yanks get your feathers ruffled over something completely passive like the post. Imagine if your mail carrier asked you for a signature. Would you run away like you did from your father when he snapped his belt and ran after your tush like a Royal Navy sailor that docked off the coast of Burma?
Speaking of Burma, or is it Myanmar? I'll hand this one over to you, Trappy_Pandora
