I'm about to place my first on a darknet shop where I will be dealing directly with the vendor. I would also like to try communicating with some vendors directly. What is the best email service to use to do this securely?

Trust me - gmail is the best. They even have calender where you can note down all your daily sales by date.
not to mention it automatically syncs with my smartphone so i dont miss important drug dealing emails
its the best and its free. Use it over tor and you are golden!

lelantos

lelantos for initial contact, move the regulars over to Wickr for ease of use for both sides.

Use anything you'd like.
Just compose your messages and replies in Notepad, Textedit, Gedit or nano (depending on your platform), and ENCRYPT WITH PGP to their public key. Then attach the message to your email, or copy and paste the contents of the encrypted message,
Voila. Done.

mail.ru
the nsa came out a while back and straight up admitted they have a bitch of a time trying to decrypt the stuff on those servers. not to mention it's hosted in russia, so you can be damn near certain they're not gonna comply with any LE requests from the US.

Sigaint, Lelantos, or Toremail
I personally prefer lelantos which is a paid service. Not that it means much when you pay for it, but it does give the host more of a reason to keep it up.

None, it only gives you a bigger footprint. Why would you ever deal directly with a vendor? Just use PGP on agora or one of the smaller reputable sites.

Don't do it.... seriously... Maybe I am just gun shy, but man... I have been around a while. I thought I could trust a vendor I had been working with for a while(Fonz) and he fucked me over......
Sigaint, claws, lelantos are all safe.
Not safe: Mail2Tor, safe-mail (and any clearnet really.)
