Found a review thread with obvious shill feedback, commented pointing out the shilling and showing why it was obvious, two weeks pass thread gets bumped, my comment and those of others discussing the shilling have been removed. Comment again & pm the forum mods telling them they need to take a look at the thread, login a few hours later, thread is deleted (only mods or admin can delete threads).
I assume the vendor in question saw my comment, cried to the mods and has it removed. I post asking for the mods to comment why this happened, thread ignored, thread deleted.
As we stated; posts such as this that have no proof or even reasonable evidence will be marked as FUD and it is left up to the OP to gather evidence of their claims.
Shilling is sometimes obvious, but obvious doesn't equal proof. We are trying to cut down on the sensationalism and keep posts to facts, not guesses and opinions, and especially not conspiracy or unethical behavior. Since your thread has been removed, we have no way of knowing if you simply posted calm, factual information, or colored it in with supposition intended to make the moderators and administrators look crooked; it's pretty difficult for the rest of us to accurately assess what exactly happened.
We aren't removing the threads, but claims of dirty markets have to be backed up now. As a general rule, once things start feeling "off" - start screengrabbing Everything - even messages you send as who knows if they'll be answered.
Lastly, and unfortunately, markets don't but the effort into uncovering shilling as we do. It doesn't entirely behoove them to remove positive reviews as they have a motivation to increase sales, have limited time and resources, and it's difficult to prove. They are better served using those resources to help resolve disputes, not uncover over-eager vendors on forums. It's sad, but part of how things work.
I believe a lot of people will find this story implausible and argue against you, so I suggest that you start gathering screencaps and trying to organize your line of thinking as to how you reached this conclusion.
