Anyone on Bitmessage?

The Grand Wizard has been running Bitmessage for a while now but still gets almost no messages. Is anybody else using Bitmessage? On Jabber we were overwhelmed by conversations: Bitmessage is a ghost town.

(The Grand Wizard can be found at BM-2cVoMbCGfeUeZGrAVEpLVohLi9NXA9BnFt and welcomes any message from readers who find this bottle floating in the virtual Bitmessage sea... ).

I think a lot of people that try out bitmessage fail to realize they have to leave it running to see much of anything happen as it's not an instant messaging protocol like they may be use to. It reminds me of I2P, in that the performance improves as it's time connected increases.

Bitmessage is a stagnant project and it's outclassed by other options IMO, however, since a lot of markets use it for notifications I do have one, though I use Sigaint's BM gateway address since that is the only way I will ever use it in practice.

However mine is: BM-2cXLtbNLtZYMwkRShaezF9TyxVAKHKkNJR

I much prefer Jabber + OTR, Signal, or one of the newer ones like Pond and such.

I and my preferred vendor, ToddHoffman, use Bitmessage only for our weekly rendezvous.

I'll reinstall it for direct deals.

BitMessage is not a mature project. I don't think it should be relied on for security against motivated attackers.
