Status of Alpaca Marketplace as of August 27th 2014:
Date: 2014-08-27
The Alpaca community is steadily growing with an ever increasing number of orders, vendor registrations and listings being created daily. Since the last official update, numerous features and updates have been released.
Listing FAQs allow buyers to publicly (but anonymously) pose questions to vendors regarding their listings.
Verified vendors may now disable escrow (i.e forced FE) or restrict escrow to users with a minimum reputation.
The new and improved message system with timestamps and 'sent' messages makes communicating with other users a much easier and seamless experience.
New dynamic listing attributes lets vendors specify 'stock' (remaining quantity) and 'max order'.
Escrow mediation remains free of charge.
Features currently under development:
Email / Bitmessage Notification System (very soon)
Auto-finalize escrow transactions using pre-signed, time-locked multisig transactions (currently being researched)
Duplicate/import listing data when creating new listings
Marketplace public key validation and multisig fund recovery (if marketplace becomes unavailable)
Third-party escrow mediation

The ambassador (affiliate) program is to be released very soon. More information will follow shortly.
The Alpaca development team.
This is the 2nd update in a continuous series of 'official updates', all of which will be signed with the official Alpaca PGP key.
Marketplace status, development progress as well as any known issues and security concerns will be outlined in these updates.
We strongly advise against ever accessing Alpaca Marketplace from a URL other than those listed on the most recent official update.
I like the setup. And you. I'll have to check it out.
