Your ISP can definitely see that you're using tor, but that doesn't mean you're doing anything illegal

You need to throw in a proxy there or hacked connection if you don't want your ISP seeing you're using tor

Load up a VPN or a proxy before you connect to TOR son! Fuck the modern internet!
If you are using Tor at your house, then your ISP can see that you are using Tor, but can't see what you are using Tor for. This should be enough for most users since using Tor isn't illegal and doesn't imply that you are doing something wrong (there are a lot of random curious Tor users, ransomware infections, privacy conscious users, etc. behind Tor).
You can attempt to camouflate that you are using Tor by using a proxy, VPN or obfuscation protocol, but you very likely don't need this and each technique carries its own added risks.
However, you should NEVER do anything that may identify you behind the Tor browsing session, such as checking your email or logging to one of your accounts. Websites may set tracking cookies that allow them to follow you across domains and get an idea of what you are doing behind Tor.
If you want a simple and solid setup, download Tails. When you want to use Tor, boot Tails and do all your Tor stuff there, without anything related to your real identity. Then use your normal operating system for your normal stuff and not anything Tor related.
