With talk -- only talk, mind you -- of perhaps another vendor being compromised, it got me thinking. Have you ever heard of any busted vendor (like Supertrips, for instance) having their customers contacted by DEA or local police? We like to think that all vendors delete customer's addresses the moment they send the package, but I'm sure that's not the case. I did read on Erowid that, after Operation Web Tryp was announced, some of the customers of these RC vendors were contacted by DEA and pressured to cooperate.
Let's take a big vendor: PFM, HOS, BV, etc.: how many customers do you think they have/have had? Even if the DEA found addresses on a vendor's computer, how feasible do you think it would be to contact them or share that info. with local law enforcement?
Opinions, please!
I would think that if any of SuperTrip's customers were going to be raided it would've already have happened, unless the investigating agency is keeping a close eye on some of the resllers to build a better case/find other persons of interest. I know that if I had been a reseller of ST I would be laying real low right now.
