If a vendor won't send to PO boxes, would that also mean they don't send to dorms?

The mailing address is 'Mailbox #xxx" which sounds similar to a PO box and I don't want to purchase it just to have the person say that the address is no good.

I would NOT send anything to a dorm. At all.

That sounds like a bad bad idea.

Don't send anything to a dorm ever. The same laws about obtaining a warrant to search mail(even the chick that puts your mail in the box can open it if it seems suspicious in a dorm) do not apply when you don't have an actual lease with the property you are renting and police do not treat dorms the same way they treat private residences, they will bust your door down if someone finds your pack, because it is technically university property and they do not require a warrant to search you or your possesions in this circumstance. You shouldn't be worried about the person saying the address is no good, you should be worries about some dormroom mail employee stealing your shit or getting arrested. One of the number 1 rules for ordering to DNMs is never order to dorms or family member's houses. Get a PO Box or an apartment with an actual lease before you even consider ordering from the DNMs.

Get a box at the UPS store. They give you an actual street address.

Depends on the vendor, I guess. But you should be fine.
