Sorry i had no luck with searching, but basically long story short i have a SSD that is encrypted with truecrypt and i would like to remove the encryption and then, "permanently delete stuff on there so that you that no one could ever pull that info up again". Like format it, but i heard people could still recover data you need to do more then just format the drive...
Perhaps just removing encryption will do the job but i had gone to drug sites before I had truecrypt on my hard drive. So i was told a long time ago that you need to run a special program that like writes overtop of all the data to actually make it so some one couldn't recover the data. Basically... How Do i make this data so its not recoverable by the FBI or who ever and its clean and formatted and i can give the SSD to friend for use :) would love some help please, love this subreddit by the way :)
ps: i know i might be going a little over kill on this but you never can be to safe and for opsec purposes lets just say i do not want people getting this info i want it deleted for good but the drive still usable. thanks and help appreciated or program suggestions if i'm correct about that, i goggle searched but was confused i know you security BOSSES know what i'm talking about so please help a brother out :) thanks ps i think i know how to remove encryption with truecrypt i just need next step, is there some program called bleach i need to use or some type of special formatting program.
