Tails issue.

Been using tails for months it's great. Never had a problem but last night I updated the flash drive OTA I would call it to 2.3. It restarted then I shut it down and hide it a way, went to check on something today now when I try to boot from the USB nothing happens it just goes straight to booting my computer's normal OS I don't even make it to the boot screen for tails where it asks about the failsafe boot. I'm stumped haven't been able to find anything about it. Not the boot laoder as I said been using this USB for months never a problem and always updated OTA.

Edit: I switched the boot order now to USB 1st now it just boots into repair mode but nothing useful. All buttons do nothing or I can boot my normal OS.

Edit: Got corrupted during update, redid it with another USB and no problems everything is there.

For some reason I have to do the following to get Tails to boot on my acer laptop. Have to redo it every time I update Tails as well. Shot in the dark but it may help you.

Keep USB drive formatted as FAT32

Go to folder EFI > BOOT and rename isolinux.bin to syslinux.bin and isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg

Rename folder isolinux to syslinux

Go to your newly renamed syslinux folder and rename isolinux.bin to syslinux.bin and isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg

Then try booting from the USB again

Thanks.. I am gonna test it out later on today.

Please report the bugs directly to Tails OS developers.

Try changing boot mode from UEFI to legacy or vice versa in your BIOS
