Questions regarding a possibly burned address and non-controlled, but legally gray substances

Back in January, I made two orders on Pandora, both from reputable vendors. One was for 20 etizolams, and a few days earlier one for 40 (minimum order) of tapentadol, which is a relatively weak but schedule II painkiller. The etizolam came from the US and the Tapentadol came from a vendor located in India. The ordering process for both went smoothly and both were shipped the next day. Now here's where things get a little strange.

The etizolam was supposed to arrive first, in about 3-4 days. However, it was late, so I messaged the vendor who said that it looked like the parcel had been delayed. It finally showed up after 10 days, the exact same day as the tapentadol. The tapentdol required a signatiure (expected) and I signed without any problems. Both parcels were completely intact.

Now, this occurred during a time when large portions of the country were experiencing severe weather, which MAYBE could have contributed to the delay, but my two questions to everyone out there are as follows:

  1. Do you think perhaps somewhere along the way authorites suspected a drug shipment and that caused the delay, therefore leaving that PO box burned?

  2. IF that PO Box is burned, is it still safe to ship small quantities of substances that exist in a legal gray area (etizolam and tramadol) and if these were to be intercepted, what kind of penalty could I be looking at?

Thanks everyone!

tl:dr- My PO box may be burned but could I still ship non scheduled substances to it?

i wouldnt be worried about the etizolam at all, it is completely unscheduled and unregulated in the USA. that would of been seized though if it would of been opened. As for the tapentadol, I can't say for sure. It is scheduled. I feel like you probably would of got a love letter for such a small amount of schedule 2 painkillers but you really never know.

If i were you I would stick to grey areas, like etizolam. Tramadol is not grey area as it is schedule 4. Be careful friend.

If the packages were untampered with I believe 100% it was the weather

It's incredibly unlikely they would take an interest in those packages rather than just confiscating and sending a love letter. Most likely it was just delayed due to the weather or some other cock-up.
