Anyone else? It is cool but for people like me it is very unpleasant and I actually feel nauseous from it :/.... I love this subreddit and what the mods do here, but it is really hard to surf this subreddit with that there...
I think anyone who is epileptic will also not enjoy it.... I am not but it still is nauseating to me.
mods if you are reading this please let me know the reason it's there now, and please let me know if you think I am being unreasonable but it is very uncomfortable for me on one of my fav subreddits. Not just for the info here, but I like the humor inside-jokes this sub. I am not even a fan of the current state of Silk Road anymore as I believe the name has been corrupted after SR1 passed
If it is hurting your eyes, I honestly suggest that you see a neurologist as soon as possible, or head to an emergency room. I have a condition where I am extremely sensitive to light and am very sympathetic to other people who have similar conditions as it had done nothing but suck the fun out of my life.
However, something this minor actually causing you pain is indicative of several very serious possible medical conditions. Do you usually have trouble looking at moving graphics? Are you able to play video games? Has this bothered you for some time or suddenly when we changed the graphic for halloween?
If you're old enough to drive, do you see halos around the headlights of oncoming traffic, or stars? When you look at a light then close your eyes, do you see colored "shadows" of the light? If so, what color are they usually?
How about the quality of the pain? If is a soreness, like a bruise, or is it a more sharp, stabbing sensation? How about hot/cold? When you look at it, does it make you feel feverish or chilly? How about other parasthesias? Does it give you a metallic or salty taste in your mouth when you look at it? Does it hurt your eyes, one of them, or is it more like a headache? If your head, is it sharp, dull, throbbing, or constant?
Or are you exaggerating the effect it has on you, wanting to point out that it's not in your taste but you're not the kind of person who feels comfortable voicing their opinion and feel the need to hide if behind an imaginary medical problem? Or is your opinion of it so vastly different to not fit in any of the other two or three threads people have started commenting on the holiday decor?
(PS: that isn't the type of blinking they people with seizure disorders are triggered by, so you don't need to worry about them.)
