So I placed an order from torcollective which ended up taking three weeks to come, and also ended up being not what I ordered. This is still being worked out.
About a week ago (HA), still lacking any bud, I put up a post in the sell your shit sunday saying I would love if any vendor would offer a sample for review, and showed my account had plenty of reviews. I didn't really expect anything... Why would anyone do this when they could just sell their shit and get a review...
Low and behold, later that night GPJ messages me saying he'd like to throw me a bone because he's seen me around a bit. He asks me to pgp him my info on a market, and I did.
4 days later I have an eighth of some of the best weed i've seen and a gram of some greeaattt ass wax/shatter/crumble. not sure how to describe it, but it's awesome. He told me a review of it was not necessary, but I can't let this go unnoticed.
GPJ is a real nice guy. Nobody else would do that just to help someone.
And as dumb as this sounds, with him putting his operation on hiatus it would have been easy for him to go the route of so many others right now and exit scam or at least get sloppy. I know we shouldn't have to praise vendors for not being evil, but with how much they are putting on the line and how much money can be had it's easy to see how someone with weak morals would give in.
GPJ is an example of exactly how this whole thing should work. He sells a great product at a fair price and treats his customers well enough that almost everyone he deals with wants to see him make money and succeed. If you do business the right way you don't have to rip people off, which is why I'm sure GPJ will have no trouble getting his customers back when he returns from vacation.
And I know this sounds shilly but I'm not trying to get anything. The freedom the markets provide has been a very positive thing in my life and I'm just glad that there are honest vendors who make that possible.
