Not received product from vendor on Evo, do I have to finalize?

About one month ago I purchased some product on Evolution from a vendor with good feedback. I never received the product, so I opened a dispute. The vendor told me that his terms state that I would not receive reimbursement in case the shipment didn't come through.

I live in a country with strict customs, so it is possible that the customs have seized the package, but I have not received any love letter either.

The vendor asks me to finalize now, since his terms state so. Do I really have to do this? I thought the point of escrow was to avoid this situation?

Do not finalize.

Ask for tracking or proof of tracking via the dispute.

Do not finalize without trying to come to some mutual agreement.

Asking for receipt of shipment is a good place to start. Also check the vendor's feedback for other lost shipments. They should want to work something out or you can do your part and at least warn others of this issue. Good luck.

Tough call, friend. He could be lying about sending the package, or it could truly be lost somewhere. You gotta go from the heart, yo. If you ever want to order from him again, the correct course of action should be clear.

As a vendor I struggle with this, as you placed an order knowing that you were effectively agreeing to FE as their terms stated there would be no refund or reship.

Many vendors (ourselves included) do not offer tracking as in the UK you need to go into a post office to do it, which we clearly can't do with the volumes we sell.

We don't offer refunds or reships to customers with less than 5 trades with us but our stats speak for themselves and it would be very obvious if we were scamming.

Also, it's not unheard of for packages to take longer than a month to some countries - our longest time to Oz was 8 weeks when generally they arrive in about 7 days.

The best thing you can do is open a dialogue with the vendor and if they demand you finalise and you don't want to then either agree an extension and wait a bit longer or start the dispute process and be at the mercy of the admins.

Vendor feedback on the markets means jack shit. Search for the vendor right here and still be careful of reviews that give over 90%. That said, follow the rules even if you feel you got screwed. If the vendor posted that they require FE but cannot guarantee it and will not refund and you still ordered, you've got nothing to complain about.

I imagine the sellers don't wanna do it either. They'd probably want to attract more customers by telling them nothing will go wrong with the shipment, they can guarantee it, yada yada. But the vendor who told you up front is probably one of the more honest ones.

See that's a mood point is ask for proof of sending and if it didn't make it past customs or just plane out didnt get it I'd ask for refund or at least partial
