Driving on drugs?

So I have experience driving while high on marijuana, almost every day tbh, Ive never driven while drunk as we all know how that turns out, I have had to drive on LSD once due to the fact I forgot I had to be somewhere (which sucked but I drove better than when Im sober), how do drugs like cocaine effect your driving I may be doing some yowder on the way home from a sporting event soon, Ill have to drive hoke shortly after (around 45-60 minutes) Is it advisable or not?

Please don't. I went to lunch today and when I came out I saw a bunch of fire trucks, ambulances, police and a car flipped over. Ruined someone's day, hopefully not their life. It's not worth it. Sleep in your car if you have to. Don't wake up dead.

Had a friend get into two different wrecks while on cocaine. His reasoning was that he felt over confident and took unecessary risks (swerving through traffic on interstate, whipping around sharp corners, ect) just because he felt like he could.

you don't even deserve to have this post entertained or responded to. i don't care if i get downvoted for this, you are an awful, incredibly stupid human being. don't drive unless you're sober. don't be a fuckhead.

If you have to ask, the answer is no.

Dome lights on, windows down, music up, and maybe a quick stretch on the road side works wonders for me whilst night-driving. Stimulants aren't going to let you have a restful night of sleep when you get home.

The problem with doing so is that you may be subject to implied consent laws. If a cop pulls you over, and nothing's amiss with your car, they can still use any physiological symptoms of drug use to give you a field sobriety test or even worse a mandatory blood test. This can be something like pupil constriction/dialation, jitteriness, slurring of words, excessive itching or sweating, etc. If your test returns a hit on any substance that is illegal or requires a prescription (assuming you are not actually prescribed or above the therapeutic dosage threshold), you'll be charged with a top tier DUI. Refusal of the blood test essentially is equivalent to a positive result, insofar as the court is concerned. So you'll have a sentence meted it by the courts for DUI, the specifics of which will depend on state law and any priors. On top of that, the refusal may result in an automatic departmental (DMV) issued suspension of your license.

That said, I know a ton of people with DUIs of all types, including two for myself and three for my brother. I have never heard of anyone getting a DUI from strictly being under the influence cocaine (nasal use at least, I have known people who had been smoking or shooting coke prior to getting a DUI). Don't get me wrong, it can and does happen every day. But it is IMHO less likely to happen relative to being under the influence of some other popular drugs (weed, Rx pain/anxiety meds, opiates, alcohol, methamphetamine).

The outlier here may be LSD and/or certain RCs. The RCs would have to be new enough to be under their testing radar or not yet scheduled substances. LSD might be difficult or impossible to detect, but don't take that as gospel. Do your homework, weigh the risks vs. rewards and make your own informed decision.

If you're not riding dirty and can absolutely guarantee you'll drive as well or better than normal and appear to be nothing more than any normal citizen driving normally, sure.

Given coke being coke, in other words - probably not advisable. Weed tends to lead to paranoia and over-cautiousness. Coke is somewhat the opposite.

Personally, at least without a good bit more experience with coke - I would not.

You've been getting paragraphs calling you retarded and that you're scum for driving intoxicated. But you asked a question and if you'll do it regardless, then we should answer it for harm reduction sake. That said, it's usually a bad idea to drive fucked up. It all depends on the amount of a substance you did. You know yourself better than I do but Im usually fine to drive after doing a few lines over the course of the night. Stay safe and be extra cautious. No music, no loud talking, just you and the car focused on the road. Always avoid driving fucked up but if you have to be completely focused on the task at hand. Be safe and don't get yourself or anyone else hurt.

honestly all stims (especially meth) make my add WAY out of control. like i'll be picking ath the carpet underneath my seat while stopped at a green light for a solid 5-10 minutes if not more. just don't its sketchy.

Its as simple as knowing your limits. I can drive while stoned as long as I'm not too baked... I'll drive if I've had under 5 shots or under 3 pints of beer... Im a pretty big guy though. You just have to recognize when you're too fucked up to drive and not convince yourself that you're okay when you're not. Bottom line just be responsible ffs.
