First, in early November, I registered on Sheep Marketplace because SR 2 seemed like a honeypot, I hadn't heard of tormarket, and I was just unlucky in that I arbitrarily chose sheep over BMR. This was before any cries of scam. I ordered $100 worth of products and literally the next day the shit went down. The NEXT. DAY. Didn't receive my orders, lost $100. Fuck, guess I'm gonna have to work the two days I was planning to take off, but whatever. Fine.
Then. I register on TorMarket. Buy ~$75 of product. Some of it being from Hyperslapp, a vendor who, as of to-fucking-day, has a huge possibility of being a scammer. I FEd because I saw he had been on sheep and I felt bad for a fellow sheep. Turns out I'm a fucking jackass. Shipped out on the fourth, has not arrived yet and it will not arrive. I will be lucky to get a fraction of my money back.
Other shit gets intercepted. Asked to sign for a package by a white guy with a fire red beard who I've never seen before. My normal mailman is a short black guy. He's very insistent on me signing. I turn it away, ask the vendor about it, he says yep you shouldn't have signed for it. Problem: BOTH of us are new to this marketplace, so we don't know how to mark an order as unarrived and he doesn't know how to refund me. Orders will be open for dispute on the 18th, but so far support on TorMarket has fucking sucked.
I messaged support 4 days ago about getting refunded, haven't heard back yet.
In conclusion: fuck.
Edit: I realize that #175 is a trivial amount compared to what some people lost, but for me, a minimum wage worker who just wants to trip occasionally, it blows.
Edit 2: by "the shit went down" I do not mean the actual site going down, I mean the whole fake withdraw timer, the minimum btc withdrawal, the vendors listing products at low prices they had never listed before, etc.
that's impossible. People were calling scam for at least a week before "the shit went down".
sucks to hear your problems!
