How many people use DNMs?

This is probably one of the hardest things to estimate. Let's say we're going by the number of people who bought a substance on a DNM in the past year. My best guess is 20,000 in the U.S., 10,000 in Europe, and 5,000 elsewhere. What do you think? Way more? Way less?

Overall I think there are few users, because despite all of the articles, almost no one knows about darket markets. And Tor is growing in popularity, but we're still at a point where almost no one knows anything about it either.

The reason I'm guessing there are fewer users in all of Europe is because of much more lax penalties for posessing or buying and selling cannabis, and even other drugs. Europe also seems to be where many drugs on DNMs actually originate, so fewer people have to deal with poor quality when buying off the streets than people in the US.

As for the rest of the world, I base that off of the fact that the vast majority of Tor users are still westerners.

That's because many people are smart and don't tell everyone they know that they buy illegal drugs online

Snarkiness aside, it must be significantly higher than your guesses (I don't have a better one either) because some of these vendors move A LOT of weight

Its probably in the tens of thousands. It may seem low, but remember that a lot of people are not technically minded, and sending virtual currency to an anonymous website and expecting to get stinky cannabis via mail might be seen as something too good to be true (or they simply get overwhelmed by the whole process and continue sourcing their drugs the oldschool way).

Remember that fraud and child porn get traded as well, not just drugs. So that will definitely affect numbers.

According to this, a lot, 23000 per 100,000 people!!!! And BAM, you seem to be dead wrong about the usage in Europe, way more than the the good ole USofA!!!! Guessing it seems is not YOUR strong point, a smart person or one that was unsure would have used this new miracle tool called Google to do quick search instead of guessing!!! Then again the people who did the research could be wrong, I mean really, what the fuck do they know!!! Let me guess, you do bars, yup, that's it :-)
