Odd USPS scenario

Had a priority pack from a well-regarded vendor marked shipped on Monday.

Tracking says it arrived at a sort facility late (~8 pm) Monday night and left shortly after, and that the pack is "in transit to its destination".

As of today (Thursday) there have been no update scans and the scheduled delivery date says "unknown at this time".

We're dealing with two major metropolitan areas, one in the central US and one on the west coast. Anyone ever encounter something like this before?

Thx

Sounds like a standard delay in usps shipping. Nothing that weird.

Ya sounds like it stuck on a truck or in sorting machine.

Not at all odd..this happens with our packages often. Priority will usually be 2nd day, but it can be up to I think 8 days is the longest I have waited.

It is very normal to have them scan out of the initial sort and be in transit with no updates for days.

So it was marked shipped on Monday let's say it stayed at the box and didn't leave that day. Finally started moving Tuesday morning, Wednesay, now it's Thursday. Even if it did start to move on Monday. Today would be day 3. I think you're getting a little too worried a little too early. USPS doesn't always update tracking. Should be to you by the weekend.

I've had priority non-contraband packages be five days late before, and if I recall, the tracking said wierd stuff, don't remember what. I wrote a hate email to the USPS and told them I was never going to use them again, but the next time I wanted to order something, I just said fuck it and used them again.

I talked to my MAILMANIWONTMENTION. mmiwm told me a bunch of young guys got in trouble for scanning packages on their lunch breaks.. shit like that.. and sometimes a misdelivery that says it was delivered... so be prepared for bubba or the judge to get your mail. they are rolling out new scan guns that have GPS :) Dude says he is supposed to scan the packs by the mail box.. because soon it could be his liability if the GPS scan isnt where it should be.. :x kinda cool and scary. Who knows what other implementations are in place.. im just glad for meat packing stores
