REVIEW: Noumena's Dream Sand

Received Dream Sand to compare against Desert Dream, which I'd reviewed recently in this forum, to favorable reviews.

Background: Dream Sand is pure white DMT (due to an A/B extract with extra naptha pulls I would assume, although I haven't asked.) Presumably, the product has less NMT, which depending on your tastes, is either a bonus or makes no difference. Desert Dream is Noumena's yellow DMT.

EXPERIENCE: Dream Sand is in fact a very, very different product with an altogether different trip than Desert Dream. The NMT present in Desert Sand tends to provide its trip with more of a "bonkers", or whirlwind type of a vibe, and more of a tendency to leave me in a bit of a fog. This is the opposite in every way. My experience was clean, the come-up feel markedly less startling, the visuals more crisp, and most notably - beyond any other single difference between the two products, I was able to recall the details of my trip in crystal clear detail.

The precise experience is as follows: 44MG was loaded into my GVG, and cleared across an initial chamber-filling toke, followed by two tokes with extreme intent. I noted that there was astonishingly little taste, not a faint taste, literally an absence of taste. This is different fro Dream Sand which has a distinct "polished shoe leather" taste to it.

Immediately upon blowing out the second big hit, I'd noticed that although I was rapidly escalating to hyperspace with the same speed as I'd experienced with Desert Dream, but without the overall feeling of being tossed and turned as I was on my way up. This was closer to being levitated up (albeit very, very quickly.)

The general experience, once in hyperspace, was an interesting trip in which a humanoid character loaded me into some type of craft, and I traveled through a landscape not so different from the vintage arcade game S.T.U.N. Runner. This inevitably dissolved into a more abstract and infinite level of detailed MC Escher types of pipeways to travel through, and as soon as I asked the humnoid character where I was, and they began speaking, I was returning to my body.

The sense of the trip was particularly light hearted and playful compared to some of the earth shatteringly profound trips that scare me off from casually using DMT. Both have their merits, but if only I could know when to expect which... DMT is an unpredictable lover if nothing else.

FINAL REVIEW: Dream Sand costs more than its yellow counterpart but is it worth it? That depends. Both will get you to exactly where you want to go, but your extra money is buying you a more clean/pure/comfortable trip which you'll need to decide for yourself is worth the extra coin. For my tastes I need to admit enjoying both varieties for different reasons, and I'm grateful to have both in my DMT kit.

Fantastic review. Any pics?

Just figured I'd throw in on the difference between the two, assuming the solvent is naphtha:

The white crystals are a freeze precipitation of the solvent to yield freebase. The yellow is a full-spectrum extract obtained by letting the solvent evaporate, likely after freeze precipitation. This means it has little or no DMT, but plenty of analogous alkaloids.

Thanks for the review, how much did it cost?
