In the past, I've spoken openly and loudly in defense of Dream and other markets where I felt they were the target of FUD, slander, and whatever else. I will continue to do so with markets other than Dream and I still don't buy the sidebar 'proof'.
However, with the numerous other posts I've been seeing here the past few days--added to my own situation--the similarities are troubling and difficult to ignore. I haven't been able to withdraw any funds for over two weeks. I have a fairly long back-and-forth with their support person(s) simply requesting that I 'be patient' and that the admin is 'very busy'. To top that off, my support ticket was closed yesterday with no resolution. I filed another and was asked yet again to be 'patient'. I've seen some other vendors also mentioning they're in the same situation (and have had the problem longer than me).
I absolutely hate having to say this, and it irks me to throw my lot in with the 'sky is falling' crowd, but I've come to the conclusion that we're in the prelude to an exit scam. I suppose if I were to pull one as a market, now-ish would be a great time given the huge jumps in BTC's value lately. If it turns out to be true, it won't even be an overly-clever one. Naturally, don't take my word alone for it. If you pour through my posting history, I doubt you'll find anything that could remotely be called market-biased or FUD. But still, I'm just another anonymous Internet user, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
UPDATE: After three weeks, Dream support finally solved the problem and I was able to successfully withdraw funds. I still have zero intention of sticking up for them again...because that's some god-awful, shitty customer service.
Goddamn the markets are a fuckin disaster these days...
