Why are vendors resistant to sending tracking?

Maybe there's a good reason for it but I think it's odd that vendors will not sending tracking info unless it's been after like 10 days. By then the tracking is useless anyway.

When I get the package, I will see the tracking info and can put it in to find out where it shipped from so what's the difference?

It's also easier to find out for customer which post office package was posted from, lots of tracking services use a history of where package stayed which is ofc bad if it's LE ordering.

This has been my argument since day 1. Vendors will say "for opsec, I can't release tracking", but meanwhile, I can just put in the number when the pack arrives! So there is no reason to withhold the info. I've even said this to vendors and they still won't send it, there is no logic to this.

I don't give out a tracking number until 2 days after the order was placed ie when its late.

A man-in-the-middle could see where it is and intercept it en-route. `

Lol "why wont a vendor give me tracking #?" Really??? Think about it for a long hard hour. If you were mailing someone heroin who was completely anonymous over the internet, would you give them a tracking # (knowing they can possibly be anyone even LE)

If a vendor gives out the tracking number immediately then LE could find the rest of his packages by checking adjacent numbers.

So it's easier for them to scam in some places.
