How do I explain this to somebody that has no idea what's happened..?

So an old friend gave me £220 to order 2 ounces for him. I had the coins in my wallet on evo and now evo is gone. My mate is going to think I've taken the money.

Personally if I were you I still would honor his order on another market, I know it sucks but it also depends how much of a close friend he is too.

[13 Points] __Grammar__Nazi__:

Show him the Megathread or the inevitable write up by Wired or the like tomorrow. That sucks for both you guys.

If he wasn't aware that it was coming from DNM then I think you should either split the loss or fully compensate him. But if he knew you were ordering it and you were doing him a favor because he's too lazy to learn how to order himself/too paranoid then I don't think you owe him anything. It's all part of the game.

Wried will be all over this

Tell him to watch the news, and remind him that you never gave a guarantee.

You don't owe him anything. If you were doing him a favour by buying it for him because presumably he didn't know how to do it himself, why should the loss be on you? If he had the knowledge to do it himself he still would have lost it.

[3 Points] None:

There are two possible outcomes.

  1. You were marking it up, in which case you're a dealer, in which case you are obligated to make good. Your supply chain is not your customer's problem.

  2. You were not marking it up, in which case you should have never taken his money in the first place. Point your friend to /r/darknetnoobs and let him figure it out like everyone else. There is no upside to putting yourself at risk of ordering for someone else. Also, letting him know that you order is a huge risk.

share 50% loss

Happens to me before when i order for my friend, just tell him what happened, i dont think you owe him anything, unless you guaranteed he would get it. I'm sure he would understand, just show him all the stuff on here to prove your reason is legit.

Show him these threads and realize that drug dealing is a risky business.
