Package undeliverable as addressed?

I placed a small order 2 weeks ago. Escrow was about to auto release on Sunday so I sent vendor a message and I disputed so it didn't finalize. He messaged me the next day unaware that I had previously messaged him and sent me a tracking # saying it was undeliverable as addressed. Thats all it said on usps. Is my address supposed to show up too? How do I know its not just a random tracking #? Also, the order was priority with no tracking available. Does this sound normal? I know I sent my address correct. Should I just take the L and move on? I have had 1 land last week so I don't think I'm burned.

[2 Points] None:

Anyone can send a bogus tracking number that says return to sender.

If you're sure you put in your address right, I would say you got scammed.

USPS tracking only shows the zip code a package is going to. You could call them and ask about it if you have the kahones. If it turns out it was a legit mess-up and not the vendor trying to scam you with a bogus number, they have a service you can pay for to redirect packages to a different address.
