It's not too late, but how much money you'll make is a different issue that I don't think anyone is going to be able to answer. I don't think you'll make enough to retire from it, put it that way.

The margins are really slim in my area for cash-in-person trades. At best you can make 10-15%, but with volatility the way it is you need to be able to buy instantly, which costs more in fees and eats into that tiny profit more. Add that to the risk of being robbed/scammed/targeted by fincen, and it's not worth it.
Accepting bank deposits is safer and easier, but you should be prepared to file taxes and have multiple conversations with your bank, and ultimately have them close your accounts.
No it is not too late, but you will not get rich from it, since bitcoin stable-unpredictable most of the time
