I ordered an international pack of personal use amounts from some EU country (no, not the Netherlands). I'm in the US. This vendor is known for taking a long time but also offers tracking (and escrow) with orders. So I asked for a tracking # expecting to check it on the clearnet at some public place away from home.
But the tracking site he gave me (along with the number I'm not gonna post of course) is for trackitonline.ru. A Russian site. WTF?
My questions then are: How sketch is this? Should I still use the clearnet and some public wifi to check it or use TAILS and possibly get it flagged? Does it not matter how I check it, since it's a fucking Russian site? Remember I'm in the US. Is the (pretty reputable) vendor lying about where he is shipping from, or is this a common thing? I've never tracked a package before, since most vendors only offer the tracking info if there's a dispute.
Vendor might have sent you someone else's tracking
