Dream is switching on Bitcoin Cash

Bitcoin Cash, BCH, Bcash, whatever you wanna call it. Vendors need to check a box to activate, but yeah. It's happening. Monero would have been better (IMO) but I'm not complaining...

wtf, why not Monero? It's the obvious choice privacy wise.

Coin mixer for bitcoin cash https://cashshuffle.com

[28 Points] kartoffelwaffel:

Fwiw, don't call it bcash, you'll get laughed at. It's BCH or Bitcoin Cash

[22 Points] Al1ce1nunderland:

Well that's it... I'm switching to Pepe Cash

[16 Points] thebaye:

Well this is freaking awesome, although I and I'm sure everyone else would've preferred XMR, but I understand the ease of implementing BCH due to its similarity to the legacy BTC code...

But, so when can I send some BCH to my dream wallet, and when are vendors going to actually start using it? I just checked and there's nothing in account settings about it yet, and I imagine most vendors just won't even pay attention at all.

[12 Points] xmronadaily:

Yeah, good luck with that BCH... Expect more stories to pop up here https://shouldhaveusedmonero.xyz/

BCH = inheriting all problems of BTC in terms of no privacy, no fungibility. People need to get their priorities in order really, safety should be number one, not convenience of copying the code in 10 minutes and enabling a fork of BTC just because they're too lazy to do any work with Monero.

[8 Points] pymmit:

I of course sold my coins before taking the BCH out, but I never was a fan of btc forks.

Anyone want to explain why BCH is better than BTC or XMR?

How does one acquire Bitcoin cash via Reddit? I see all these tippr posts but don't understand how that all works.

Well let's hope this doesn't turn out like AB and Zcash ! lmao

Awesome!

[4 Points] somanyroads:

As a user of /r/bitcoin, this is very disappointing: anything but BCH would be a better choice. That's just laziness on Dream's part: Monero is much much better and doesn't have to steal from other crypto's brands to achieve it's market share (not that the dark nets give a shit about politics).

Interesting

Have you guys heard of PARTICL? btc fork on latest btc codebase with ct on mainnet and ringct on testnet. also its a privacy platform with first dapp decentralized markstplace comimg out first quarter 2018. And lots cheaper too.

[3 Points] drakydrake:

im a early sdc investor and manage to convert my sdc. and now its paying off. lots of new development and a passive income.

I know it'll be shilling but Particl, PART, has Monero privacy on Bitcoin codebase. It's basically Bitcoin Private fork without all the drama.

Currently has Confidential Transactions on mainnet (Bitcoin 1st) which makes amounts untraceable. And has RingCT on testnet (Bitcoin 1st) which makes amounts and addresses untraceable and unlinkable, just like Monero. Team gives due credit to both research teams, including Monero's, for the development of the cryptographic proofs :)

Particl is on latest 0.15.1 Bitcoin protocoll, the only project besides the ugly sister forks Bcash/ Bgold that stays lock step with security updates.

Oh yeah, we're building our own decentralized privacy marketplace but nobody cares much for that in these PARTs eh?! ;P

[2 Points] janedoethefirst:

ffs, how do I buy BCH? Can BTC be converted? Now I have to go and learn something new, I fucking hate it when that happens :/

[2 Points] loollipapa:

Wow, interesting! Why not Monero really? But still interesting...

[2 Points] DextroShade:

Monero's transaction fee problem will be solved when they implement bulletproofs early next year. Hopefully by then they will have a lightweight Electrum-style wallet and multisig implemented as well. Then we can stop worrying so much about BCH mixing and privacy.

[1 Points] Kemworm:

is this different from BTG?

[3 Points] supersymmetry1:

Monero won't matter much for privacy now because the very low fees and fast transactions in bitcoin cash allow using cash shuffle service, take a look: https://cashshuffle.com/

[1 Points] CannedSpamminator:

When is this happening? I do not see it on my account. Will I earn bch through my referrals as well?

[1 Points] altacct10288:

Will I still be able to use BTC (as a buyer) or do I have to go through the trouble of converting it first?

[1 Points] aa2343:

I dont see the option to deposit bch onto dream. am I missing something here?

[-1 Points] billenburger:

Fuck bch

[-10 Points] c_r_y_p_t_o:

Bcash, whatever you wanna call it

[-8 Points] 2happytimes2:

I KNOW!!! Who the fuck uses BCC? They should have implemented XMR, I would have signed up right away! FYI OP you where right on the first try it's Bitcoin Cash, and the only people that use it are the devs of it, mainly because it blows.
