[Evolution] Question and complaint

Recently while I didnt login to Evo for a few days an order I was waiting for and had money in escrow auto-finalized unusually early, can vendors choose the amount of time it takes for auto-finalization? Can they edit it after the order was placed? I had dealt with the vendor before and even then I didnt FE, yet thanks to this "feature" of Evolution my money is gone for a order that the vendor (DynamicSales) clearly never shipped - other users been posting feedback the past few days about not receiving their things too, though in their case they actually did FE

It is your responsibility to open a "dispute" using the dispute system to stop the finalization clock and wait until you've received your product, THEN finalize and leave feedback (also via the dispute system): it is not the markets responsibility to hold your hand every step of the way through your transaction.

Speaking as a buyer I feel for you. I regularly get packages which arrive after autofinalize has kicked in. (Normally I check the tracking # and finalize once it has shipped). International packages can definitely take a while to reach you. Speaking as a vendor I regularly get domestic orders autofinalizing because the buyer couldn't be arsed to sign in and finalize.

If you live in South America you're going to have to watch your packages every step of the way and ask for an extension if they haven't yet arrived. (I believe Evo is pretty good about offering this if asked). If you aren't proactive you'll wind up in this situation again and again.

I believe the vendor specifies the amount of shipping days it will take, then Evo adds on inspection days (10 I think). So for example I have listed 4 days to the UK, then Evo adds 10 days and the auto-finalise time is 14 days total. This starts from when the vendor presses the "Mark as shipped" button.

How many days was it auto finalized after the order exactly?
