Holiday delays this early? What should we expect?

I've never ordered around Christmas time, I know many of you guys have so a few questions from me to help everyone out with their stocking stuffers.

What time frame could we expect delays due to holiday packages? Date to date? M/DD-M/DD? I know it can't be perfect but a guesstimate is better than what I can throw at people.

What could be a possible amount of extra wait time? 3 days? 7 days? Only 1-2?

Would International and Domestic have some delay? If not, someone with experience throw out an example.

Are flat rate boxes less looked at this time of year due to amount of packages ordered on legal clear-net sites for presents?

Envelopes? (Know almost never seized but have to ask)

What about tracking? I know tracking info during holidays may be slower than the shipment itself, anyone experience this?

Thanks, I've been around for almost a year and a half but some how missed the December holiday month in my shipment schedule. Would like to be better informed. Thanks

I ordered some cannabis oil 39 days ago, was shipped 36 days ago. Nothing appeared after 14 days so I messaged the vendor and he claimed there was a mail fuck up and it never left the country so it was reshipped. The reship happened 16 days ago and still nothing. Not sure if it's Christmas delays affecting reship, or the vendor has started to fuck me over since I fe'd. The order is from Canada to UK and all previous orders had been fine and arrived within a maximum of 14 days.

So my Amazon packs are actually getting here on time for the most part and lately Amazon has been using USPS. At most, maybe a few of the many Amazon Prime (2 day) orders I've made took 3 days. BUT, priority mail is definitely taking longer than normal. Not sure about envelopes as I usually dont' send shit or have anything interesting that I track via envelopes.

Ever since Thanksgiving, my priority mail is taking longer. Packs that normally took 3-4 days are taking 5-7 days. Some packs I get in like 2-3 days and those are taking 3-5 days. Barely anything is coming on the shorter end of the scale. You are lucky if you get on the high end of the priority timeframe. USPS has a map that shows how long shit should take based on origination and destination. Forget that. Most everything takes 2 days to get to me according to the map, its more like 4-7 days. It will probably get worse even.

Also, it depends too where you live. If you live in a big city and getting shit from another large city, you'll have better luck. You could be waiting even longer if you are in a small town and your pack has to take a few hops to get to you.

Tracking is fucked up lately. I'm getting texts from USPS saying shit is NOT delivered when I've received it. In fact, I got a legit package yesterday, get a text saying this package is scheduled for delivery today. LOL. So even USPS updates on tracking seems fucked up or slow.

To be conservative, I'd take the shipping time (for domestic) and at least double, if not triple, the time it claims it'll be there. IE, if it says it should take 2 days, give it 6.

My mail isn't slowing down for some reason. All through the year it's slow and here comes holiday season and it speeds up for some reason.

Also, make sure your mailbox is free from snowbanks or else the deliv man wont waste his time if you didnt take 5 min to shovel your post box. They dont make enough to put in that extra effort.

there was just a story on the news about an hour ago saying the post was already slow because they don't have enough drivers for their HGVs
