Question vis-a-vis Shipping

So, I decide to try out this Darknet purchasing thing because it sounds cool. Bought a hundred bucks worth of acid from an Agora vendor with a lot of good reviews, finalized early (dangerous, I know. Won't make the mistake again--but he was like 4.98 with 500 ratings or whatever). Ten days pass, nothing. I message him a couple of times, kind of gently prodding him, and eventually he coughs up a USPS tracking number--which says that my stuff was supposed to have been delivered a few days back. "Delivery status not updated."

What does this mean? Will USPS redeliver it? Send it back to him? Should I call them about it, or is that horribly bad OpSec? Did this guy maybe scam me (I don't think so, but shit suuuuuuucks and he's not communicating so I'm kind of pissed anyways)?

Any help is appreciated, I understand that this is kind of my problem and not y'alls.

It might be helpful to name the vendor in terms of determining trustworthiness and if others have had issues. So the tracking doesn't show delivered like he claimed and instead has not updated?

If the tracking shows normal behavior prior to the 'Delivery Status Not Updated' message then the vendor definitely sent something out.

That error code happens when a package is sent out for delivery and then there is no further update (delivered/returned to PO/etc). Usually just a lazy postal worker who forgot a scan - but it could indicate the pack went out and then got lost before being delivered.

Seems you package couldnt be delivered. Might go back to sender, meaning it will be destroyed because your vendor wont be that stupid to use a valid sender address.

When a mailpiece is given the “OF” event (out for delivery), there is an expectation that within 14 hours the piece will receive a clock-stopping scan. If a clock-stopping scan is not made within 14 hours, a "DX" event is created to show "Delivery Status Not Updated"
