so i received a pink slip for missed delivery

ok so i got a pink slip at my door today for missed delivery. it says that i have to be present to sign for it at re delivery, or to just sign the slip and leave it at the door, or to come to the post office to pick it up, or have an agent "some one else who lives at the address or has authorization" to pick it up. the thing is tho is the slip got there way after the mail ran. i got the mail at around 2pm. the slip didn't show up until like 4:30 or 5 pm. just want some advice or suggestions on what i should do. thanks

Where's the package coming from, what is it, and how much(dollar figure)? What it is is the least relevant of the three if you don't want to disclose. But where it's coming from and the amount would help determine the normality of this.

I'd really call that more of a peach than pink

Leave the slip with directions to leave package on the porch. Worked for me. You mail carrier couldn't care less about that package.

A year ago, right around this time, I had a delivery that got caught up in the mail- delivery was usually about 3 days, and after a week of no show, the vendor overnighted another one. I happened to be out when the mail came, and nothing. THen another car, a personal car pulled in 30 minutes later with the package and I had to sign for it. I was suspicious but when asked about the signature, she said it was required for an overnight delivery. Bottom line- I was told that they have to supplement their deliveries by using more drivers during this time of year due to the HEAVY volume of packages.

For what it is worth.

so it would be cool to have it picked up first thing Monday morning
