New Market Questions

Hello all, I have a team in development of a new and more secure Marketplace. We need suggestions from the community on a few things. First of all we are not going to make the mistake of Blake or Ross. Second, we are using extreme OPSEC. Ok now here is what we need from you.

What would you like to see in a new market?

Name suggestions ( NOT SILK ROAD EVER)

Automated PGP encryption for messaging?

Multi signature mandatory?

DarkCoin integration?

Please make suggestions as we have been around for a long time and now are stepping up to the plate.

We will also be looking for admins at some point ( paid obviously) but not stupid children. We need a serious team of dedicated trustworthy members to hope end the LE raid on this poor community.

Please leave comments below on what you wish to see.

ALSO LOGO Designs welcomed after name choosen.

regards Admins of )insert market place name here)

Oz or yellow brick road for names. Drug only market no fraud/carding avoid mistakes of those before you

pgp should be the responsibility of vendors and customers alike

Subway Trade Marketplace

Or

Subway Marketplace

Don't automatically PGP messages, but refuse to send messages unless they are PGP encrypted via end client software (don't allow headers from online PGP tools)

Include Multisig for sure. Forcing people to use it is up to you.

Most people aren't gonna care about darkcoin too much. Bitcoin is still king, even if it doesn't have built in tumbling...

Can automated encryption be done securely purely on client side w/o transmitting anything unencrypted or holding keys? If not, then this should definitely not be a feature. IMO making something easy at the expense of OpSec is not a good idea.

I like the idea of mandatory multi-sig encryption. I think its been shown that many vendors will opt for traditional escrow when given the option b/c of the learning curve w/ multi-sig (I guess that's the reason, not positive).

Not sure if this is an OpSec issue, but it'd be nice to see average time it takes vendors to mark it at each step - how long on avg it takes them to mark as shipped, how long it takes for the customer to receive once marked as shipped (of course, I guess only way for that metric is to check escrow release and that could unfairly hurt a vendor if customers forgot/delayed releasing escrow). Of course if there are OpSec reasons not to include this, then Opsec trumps all.

Average amount of time taken for customer to finalize order - This is kind of random, but i thought this might help combat vendors who ask for FE consistently who advertise escrow, if orders are finalized in a day quite often, you know that orders weren't received this quickly (exception being digital goods). This may or may not be too useful.

I'm sure i'll think of more

You should definitely call it "Underground Amazon"

I mean, It is not like the real Amazon is going to be very able to sue you.

My priority list would be security>good vibration features>handling>public relation. This way you can demonstrate your good intentions.

/u/wtf0mgbbq made good recommendations. My favourite one:

Thank you for reading!

Your market name should be goatskin-hide sidewalk.

Who the fuck needs silk... or roads? Not me. I'm a simple person.

[1 Points] Vespco:

Automated GPG encryption? Yeah fuck that. That either means you have the private key or javascript.

Multisig is needed. Duh lets just forget silkroad 1 and 2, sheep marketplace and dozens of others who have lost some or all of their funds.

Why darkcoin? Has anyone ever really been doxxed or convicted for a bitcoin transaction?

Force GPG, force multsig, use bitcoin

Name it "Thanks Obama!" or something that gets attention: something like the Obama marketplace would be hilarious and popular, perhaps?

Mahakala Market (White Mahakala is the Bodhisattva of Prosperity-wealth gained through pure compassion/Black Mahakala represents Compassionate Wrath, or anger transformed into compassion) - could have some pretty fucking sweet logos, just google "Mahakala."

Vajra Market (The Vajra represents, among other things, the indestructibility of wisdom. It can also represent the union of Compassiom and Wisdom)- Can also make for some sweet logos

Vajrapani Market (or just Vajrapani) - (Vajrapani is the embodiment of Enlightened power)- again, sweet logo. Just search for Vajrapani.

Kokuzo Market- (Kokuzo is a Bodhisattva who represents the happiness generated by saving all beings from suffering, I gave the Japanese name for this one because it is simple to pronounce.) pretty much any market named after a Bodhisattva is going to have some kick ass logo options. Make sure to search for the Sanskrit name to see, IMO, the best pictures (Akasagarbha).

Galapagos Marketplace

And that's all I got. I think there are some good ones in there, some simple, some with great meanings, and some with awesome iconography.

Food for thought

Snowfall is the name of an op that caught and arrested a sizable coke ring earlier this year.

M.W.A. - Market with attitude

I think you should make a box for pgp keys and have a thing that keeps public records when it was changed. Make the name very insignificant like marketplace or blackmarket

For a name how about:

The Road Less Traveled

Not great, but it's a thought. Consider a less-obvious name like:

Global Marketplace

International Free Trade Source

Who else would like to see instant messaging built into a market?

[1 Points] trollin_with_da_homi:

For a name I like The North Pole. I am a lurker but it seems to me in addition to OPSEC, you need to be cutting edge with payments. Bitcoins seems like it was foolproof in the beginning, yet how many trace the stolen bitcoin threads have we read. I am not saying abandon what is working. I am saying you constantly have to be looking at what is next. If some brilliant redditors can trace bitcoins in and out of blenders and identify peoples wallets on a PUBLIC website, it maybe time to start looking for that next technology
