I know this belongs in /r/drugs, but I've been a part of this community a little while, so I thought I'd get your thoughts.
What does it feel like after you do heroin? I keep reading different things telling me there's a rush, and others that it's mellow. Is it like Hydrocodone? Back in highschool, my friend's dad used to leave his yellow or green Hydros around, and we used to take 2 or 3. This was probably my favorite drug of all time. Is it comparable?
Is it possible to be a casual user? I've done good coke, accidentally swallowed crushed up meth that I was told was molly, also done lots of real molly, X tabs, acid, amphetamines, and I've never had the urge to use them again the next day.
What's the difference between black tar and #4? I don't want to smoke or inject, I was thinking of snorting it.
This thread is noob as f**k, and I know a lot of people have horror stories, but I just want to hear someones opinion of what I should be expecting.
Edit: I didn't expect this many replies... thanks for sharing everyone.
Thanks /r/DNM
Dont get tar if you don't want to smoke or inject. Get some good #4 and snort it, just do a little and you'll be fine. It's very possible that you'd do it a few times, have your fun and move on. But since you stated you enjoyed the feeling of painkillers in the past, it's more likely that you'll really enjoy the heroin buzz and you'll seek it out again.
For people who are generally happy and outgoing and have a great family, social and professional life, I think addiction is less of a risk. But if you're depressed, introverted, lonely, etc then heroin is going to be very hard to only do recreationally.
So odds are you'll dabble with it at first, then use again and again. Your tolerance will increase, your money will disappear, your family, friends, work/school situations will all deteriorate. Eventually snorting won't cut it and you'll start shooting up. It'll blow you away and then you're really in for it. You'll sell every last thing you own to keep getting that fix.
Maybe it won't happen to you. But the risks are very real. It happened to me and I've seen it happen to friends over and over again. So you need to seriously consider the very real possibility that you will be throwing your life away in the future if you take that first step. Is a drug- induced nodding stupor really worth all that? Heroin cost me everything, I was lucky to get out with my life. I'm still trying to repair all the financial, physical and social damage it did.
So the choice is yours, but just please realize that all the horror stories you hear about heroin are not exaggerated... it really is that dangerous.
