[CommunityDiscussion] USPS "Conspiracy" Theory

Does the USPS need the DNM's to survive? I remember hearing awhile back about the USPS struggling to finance itself and how there was a chance the USPS may have to cease operations.

It seems reasonable to me to assume the growth of DNM's have had a positive impact on the USPS's bottom line. If this is the case, I'm sure the right people are aware of this. Does this work in our favor or is it merely an inconsequential side effect?

USPS survives due to ebay sellers and direct advertising. Ever pick up a change of address form and notice there's more advertisements in it than forms? Your theory makes no sense. DNM postage probably equals less than a few million dollars per year.

It cost more money than they can possibly ever make. Meaning USPS does not become profitable even with an increase in use of service, in fact, it would increase their spendings on cost while profitability would still be non-existent.

Yea this is just frivolous. DNM orders make up .00000000000001% of mail

Good thought, but no. This is a small community, 44,000+. But how many are actual purchasers? Far less than that. And how about all the other people out there? Drug shipping is a small market.

lol seems reasonable to assume you don't understand the USPS, they give no fucks about revenue from dnm, not even 1/10 of a percent

319 million people in the USA, dnm not a factor

I ran an ebay store for several years. Usps prices were comparable to ups but USPS is more convenient and gives away alot of free shipping materials. Boxes tape etc.

*(that blue box on every street corner is great at 2am vice the ups store i have to wait till they open at 730.)

I almost always used usps for orders within continental us states.
