Why not check tracking?

I think some of you are so paranoid it clouds your judgement. Let's try perception as opposed to paranoia and look at the broader scheme of things. Before I ever got a dark net package, I ordered things online like most normal people. I also have anxiety, and like to know where my packages are when I have package. I am known to track a package 5-10 times in a day just to see if it has gotten to my state yet. Not everyone has my level of anxiety no, but I'm pretty sure most people check tracking, some more than myself, and some less, but who just says "fuck it" and leaves it to the postal gods? And before you jump and say "I do", we know you guys who don't care or have huge amounts of patience are out there too, but seriously, why not check the tracking? You really think that checking the tracking is going to get your package seized? It just seems that your paranoia has led to irrational behavior to me. Yeah, don't check with tor I get, because that just screams "I HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE", but what in the hell is suspicious about tracking a package -_- Let me see some proof if you are going to come here with claims of this and that please, don't state things you do not know and lets have an adult conversation, I am speculating and not stating is is 100% safe, I just don't see how it couldn't be, or why it isn't. Like if they raided you and somehow saw your IP address had checked tracking on the package I can see that, but even then, I have never heard of that happening.

I'm guessing the reason is because if you check tracking, especially from an IP tied to your identity, and said package somehow gets seized, you lose plausible deniability.

This is coming from someone who just reads this sub and follows the drama, so take it for what it is worth.

As far as I know it's got nothing to do with it being seized.

Your only defense if a package is sent to you with something illegal in it is to say that you have no idea who sent it or why it was sent. If you check the tracking number then there goes that defense.

I remember reading one story on here from someone who got caught and him checking tracking from their home PC was the way the police proved that they were aware of the package before its arrival.

I have no personal way of saying if this is true or not but logically it makes sense to me. Everything I've always read just says if you get CD deny any knowledge of it. Checking the tracking blows that story.

If you're ordering for personal use I still think it's probably overkill to worry about it, but if you're trying to be as secure as possible it can't hurt to avoid doing it, right?

its better to be paranoid than not give a fuck.

Isnt this just something that might matter after you get caught? If le can proof you checked the tracking of your package after they caught you with it you cant claim ignorance on receiving it. You'd need to receive a lot though for them to check your digital footprint though...

I had a vendor give me the tracking info and told me not to check it too often or it might get flagged by USPS. I was an idiot and ended up checking it quite often. It ended up getting seized. This may or may not be a coincidence.

The vendor said he has noticed a higher chance of seized packages when he gives out the tracking information and thats why he doesn't give it out.

Imagine you're a vendor and LE makes a buy. If they have the tracking info while the order is still in transit, they can intercept your package and profile similiar packages that came from the same drop box, post office, or sort facility. Every buyer in that batch now has the potential of getting a CD. IP addresses, VPN, all that other shit, didn't even come into play.

Just don't check it all crazy. Like 100 times in 2 days. LoL I have had many w tracking and used it fine with no problem.

To throw in there, my wife has checked a package more than 20 times in a daym a package from china, a package from cali, non darknet, but that never got it tampered with.
