If Mr Nice only needed a few hundred bucks, or even if it's just a few thousand bucks to kill $100,000s in dnm business how will this ever stop?
Somebody please tell me we're not ddodoomed.

Yes, it is really that cheap. Botnet renting can be cheap depending on where you look.

A DoS is cheaper, but to answer your question yes it is.

He was paying $200/day for this, and it lasted well over 2 weeks. So in the end, all he got in return for his $3000+ was his shitty site laughed off the face of the earth, DDOSed in retaliation, and a reputation such that no one will ever use it again. LOL.
The larger markets can coexist peacefully, as there's more than enough business. Even a smaller site like Abraxas is probably making a couple thousand dollars a day.
Not sure if LE would ever DDOS markets for days on end, since it would prevent them from doing any investigative work (controlled buys, etc).

its actually way cheaper than that. you can acquire bots extremely easily and without having to pay jack shit for them then its as simple as point and shoot

Yeah if you're curious about this shit check out those shady forums like HackForums .. people renting out their botnets for cents a minute
