ProtonMail potentially compromised.

By Israeli intelligence, no less. Wondered why my password wasn't working recently.. Always encrypt your communications even when using allegedly secure and encrypted services! This should be common knowledge, but just a reminder.

No data was compromised during and after the attack. It was from several hackers and one state-sponsored cyber-terrorism. How do you know it's from Israel? Granted, I personally don't like Israel one bit.

Again, no sensitive information was stolen, exposed, or breached. Protonmail is very secure as of right now, and even more secure after they upgraded their infrastructure to ward of DDOS attack in the near future.

The Mossad doesn't need to fuck with ProtonMail. They already own Safe-Mail.

Protonmail has a isralei ddos protection service similar to cloudflare protecting them now, it was either that or a US service. From what they say its different than cloudflare in that it doesnt give them their private encryption keys so the service doesnt see the data going through. Personally id be more concerned about how they just paid the hackers a ransom which the hackers took and continued to ddos them. Paying extortionists is stupid as fuck.

ProtonMail team here. We're seeing a lot of misinformation about our mitigation strategy going around. Due to the way the technology works, the anti-DDoS solution we used does NOT compromise security.
