can you explain to me why btc is taking so long to confirm?

tried to send some btc thru yesterday morning and it still has not confirmed.

of course I use the highest mining fees to get my btc asap

it has never taken this long and I keep checking back, paranoid that I have a few $k up in limbo right now.

why is everyone having problems and why is it taking so long to go thru right now? is there any other way (besides setting highest mining fees) for btc to go thru faster after you have sent it already?

The blockchain is congested. Ask /r/bitcoin when they are going to fix it.

Almost 100K unconfirmed; worry not, young padawan.

right now, there are about 100k unconfirmed transactions.

Next time, perhaps you should add an extra couple pennies to the fee and not be cheap AF.

my btc was deposited back into my electrum wallet. I guess it timed out or something?

but I just resent it with 1.0mbtc/kb fee, hopefully that will be enough to get it there faster
