Do I need to tumble?

Been using BTC ATM to Mycelium wallet on a tablet to Agora. Want to switch to LibertyX to Mycelium wallet to Agora. Do I need to tumble?

Oh fuck, here we go. Half this subreddit says yes, the other no. Small amounts, I say no. Large amounts I say yes because it'll help you sleep better at night.

You don't need to tumble your coins unless you bought them with your actual identity or you're a vendor. If you have patience you can tumble your coins through multiple wallets over the course of a couple of days.

there has not been any arrests due to someone not tumbling

This is speculation considering they linked Ross Ulbricht's coins to Silk Road. Unless you're moving mad weight or have a paper trail, a tumbling service isn't very necessary.

Vendors usually have a "hot wallet" and a "clean wallet."

The goal is to obfuscate the coins as much as possible. You really don't want to be associated with bitcoin at all ideally. No IP addresses, no Circle, no Coinbase.

It just depends on your level of paranoia and how high on the fruit tree you are.

For example: sending your coins from Coinbase directly to Agora would be extremely dumb.

Basing future events based on past events, "nobody has been arrested because..." is a logical fallacy.

yes if u want to feel asleep at night with ease. seriously even the people not tumbling small amounts, dont underestimate the amount of time a police force will spend on a case to just get 1 arrest. small towns are even worse because police are bored as fuck normally.

You don't know what you've just done...

Tumbling - search for previous debates, read and make up your own mind. No clear yes/no here.

However your current method might be a bit too loose as well.

I'd definitely recommend it. Doesn't hurt to have added security.. Better safe than sorry
