Besides using monero, is everyone just paying the ridiculous fees?
Also, what's the best way of going about using monero? What wallets are recommended and what methods of obtaining?
So how is everyone making orders with bitcoin fees being so high?

buy bitcoin on paxful (use throwaway email to sign up, and only buy off people who don't require proof of id) send funds directly to a market, the fee gets taken from your paxful wallet and it goes into negative, then just delete the account.
I know its borderline stupid but so is paying the fees, a man's got to do what a man's got to do

Ive only been using Monero just because I cant use BitcoinCash with Dream yet. Ive used LocalMonero.co and S.S. to obtain and Id use either the Monero GUI wallet or the Monerujo mobile wallet.

Saving some BTC here and there from the past 7 months somewhat covered these stupidly high fees but yeah these fees are out of control. Probably has to do in part of BTC becoming more "mainstream".
I paid $10 for one transfer and it counted as a low fee transaction and it's been stuck for almost 3 weeks.
I had low fee transaction before and it took about 4 days so I was expecting the same but it's still stuck in BTC land.
As for other crypto currency, although it seems like the better option, I'm still going to stick with BTC mosly because most vendors only accept BTC, although that is changing, and also I want the new currency to stabilize a bit before I jump wagons. Still doing research on monero and it's security measures.

buy btc on coinbase, transfer to GDAX (0 fees), transfer out of GDAX to whatever wallet
gdax and coinbase are the same company, so transferring from a coinbase wallet to a GDAX wallet is free. transferring out of GDAX is either free or very cheap. you will have to activate your GDAX account and link it to your coinbase account.

Large fees aren't so bad when you make large orders. If you pay like $250 just to buy $2k in bitcoin what's a $50 fee?
/r/monero
You can learn all you want to know there, it is quite a lot to explain. I will if you insist, just PM me.
But Monero is and has been the new king for DNM atm, until segwit can be adopted.
Please don't put any money into Rogers pocket by using BCH.
