The money server separate from the webserver.

Full disk encryption

No images to keep it tiny

Mirrored to another server

Escrow agents

can be chosen from trusted members of the community they should set a dead man's switch that releases their wallet seed after one month of inactivity (eg send it in an encrypted email to the market admin)

Love this.

Also as /u/select1on mentioned - no images mode would be great. This will help when browsing in a public place, and really the feature is mostly useful for weed buyers. I think I've seen enough white powders and chemistry diagrams, I know what they look like.

Damn, that's a might fine list... only thing I can think of is I believe C9 had a function to post reviews on reddit, might be worth adding.

It's too bad your post didn't get more attention...this is a great list, and if someone set up a market like this and demonstrated trust & reliability, they would grow quickly, especially these days when everyone is down to a small number of markets and they use Tor, which we know now can be compromised any time.

[1 Points] None:

Super list! I agree with most of them.

Soooo... Basically you want C9 back...

[1 Points] GrandWizardsLair:

Here's a Grand Wizard proposal: any new market going forward should offer multisig.

At this stage of the game, admins who can't figure out multisig likely can't figure out how to harden their machines against attacks. Which means they are the last people who should be entrusted with a large amount of satoshis. In an ideal world all new markets going forward would be multisig only, but at a bare minimum multisig needs to be an offering.

[1 Points] WrongSlice:

srr.i2p has a majority of these in place already

but your only reason for not using is because of the name? i thought you would not want to use something because it actually is bad...

guess that empty BTC wallet is making ya'll wonder now ain't it?

edit: it is a sweet list though, to techie for me but i bet /u/silkroadreloaded could get all this done

[1 Points] wpalczynski:

Such a market should implement an privacy proven crypto-currency such as Monero (XMR). This would remove the need for bitcoin tumblers in addition to mitigating any risk associated with vendors and customers being tracked via currency transactions. Protocol level privacy is always preferable to any form of bitcoin mixing be it tumblers, coinjoin, etc.
Give Monero consideration for such a market, its a perfect fit.
