I was driving to a music festival in another state blasting some good beats when I see a cop two lanes over, I was doing 75 in a 65. I do the old fashion slow down slowly as the rest of traffic zooms by me. The cop and I drive in the same direction for about a mile or two. He then gets into my lane and pulls me over.
I roll down my window and give him the "I'm sorry officer" deal and he proceeds to ask me a buttload of questions. "Where you going? Who are you going with? Where are you from? Where'd you go to school?" odd questions for a traffic stop. Anyways, the questions go on and he then notices a small pill in my cup holder of the center console and asks me what it was. I said it was my dad's adderall because he had been driving the car the week before. (the pivotal fuck up). I was then removed from the car and my car was searched.
Inside they found copious amounts of Mdma and paraphernalia which they deemed worthy of distribution. I was shipped to jail and was released that evening because it was my first offense ever.
Where Opsec is concerned I made some really stupid decisions about possession and such but my laptop and phone were confiscated. The phone was somehow remotely wiped should it ever be turned on with internet ;) (but does anyone know how le analyzes iphones for messages?) and my laptop will most likely not be searched properly but Im still in deep.
I just am sitting here watching my life fall apart and wanted to let you all know to reevaluate your decisions. Im very young and facing 12 years maximum for a stupid rave. We all say "I'm too smart to be caught" or "It'll never be me" but that one time you fuck up, the law might get you too.
Wish me luck boys. Stay safe. Stay hidden. And sometimes honesty isnt the best policy.
TL;DR Got pulled over, searched due to dad leaving his adderall in car, lots of molly, facing 12 years max.
EDIT: I will update you all hopefully with what happens to me. If I can't, hopefully you'll be around when I get out. Most of you said the obvious things I should of done in hindsight but as a frazzled kid with no idea that adderall was considered something to gain probable cause I would have either swallowed it or said it was my asprin. TIL also fitting for me.
This would make a great sticky for what not to do. 1: Never speed when transporting illegal substances. 2: Never leave an illegal substance out in the open. OPs vehicle was able to be searched without his permission thanks to the plain view doctrine. Best of luck to you OP. The only advice I can offer is to pay well for a good lawyer. Do not represent yourself or use a public defender.
