If the past couple of weeks have shown anything, it's that bitcoin can't handle a large number of transactions well without hours of wait for confirmations and ridiculous transaction fees.
If you head over to r/bitcoin you'll see that there is no real consensus on a fix.
Yea, we could continue spending money on every tx, and wait hours for our coin to move, or the vendors and buyers of this roleplaying sub could start accepting litecoin because it would be much more convenient for both sides in the long run: they'd save time and money.
Vendors? How much money do you spend in transaction fees? Buyers who bounce their bitcoin from wallet to wallet and tumblers and more wallets, how much do you spend on transaction fees?
With litecoin, you can send a transaction with .05 cents worth and it'll send in less than a few minutes. Think about that.
