I prefer freebsd, but openbsd does put out some nice songs with its releases.

Never thought I'd see a distrowar on /r/darknetmarkets

I don't use openbsd. Are you asking because you read somewhere that openbsd is the most "secure" OS in the world? I would say there is no such thing as "most secure os". However I would recommend Debian or for DNM purposes tails.

over at thehub there is a very good "OS analysis" thread in the security board.
Also the upcoming Subgraph OS is for sure worth a look.

used to prefer FreeBSD for my dedicated servers back in the day.

I used Arch for several years as my main distro. It's not BSD but uses BSD init.

I used to have a raging clue for OpenBSD, but it runs poorly on laptops and support for newer software is slow to catch up. As far as security goes, OpenBSD's got, what, randomized PIDs, encrypted swap, default-deny permissions, PF? I feel like my Debian lappy was easier to lock down (disk encryption comes to mind--one click in the installer) and is just as secure as an OpenBSD box without having to sacrifice usability.

Considering OpenBSD is a fork of Unix umm JUST USE TAILS!!
RedStarOS only good option.
