Would it be safe to send a package to my college home address?

Long story short I recently moved back to my university of choice and need to make some orders but I don't want them to go to my permanent address in my hometown. I have my own house in my respective college town but don't know how safe mail is here. I'd imagine they would have more security measures in a college town but I have no idea. Any insight is much appreciated. Not sure if this is a DNMNoobs question or not.

Edit: for clarification I rent a house. Just me and my dog.

Yeah I do that all the time. I've gotten packages around 15 times to my college dorm in the past. However, every college is different, mine just stored them in the student center of the residence hall, and we went and picked them up. They aren't allowed to open your packages, but if they have reasonable suspicion (smell, etc.), they can get a warrant to open it. If you order from a reputable dealer with good stealth, you should be fine.

Simple ;) Do you think somebody is going to open your mail ?!

Vacuum packaged letter are safe for little quantities I think.

Are you in a dorm or in a house?

AFAIK both are safe.

No, dorm is not safe. The university can open your mail if they get suspicious. People have posted about it happening to them on this sub before. Also some vendors won't ship to a college dorm.

Honestly, I'd go with a rented private mailbox or PO box. They're stupid cheap, and you don't have to worry about thieving housemates.

If its a dorm i would avoid but if its off campus then you should be clear
