So I was once a vendor on SR1, curious about Statute of Limitations

I enjoy writing, and would like to describe some of my (mis)adventures over the past few years, including those on the Silk Road, in a book. However, I am concerned about government types kicking in my door (who isn't on here though, I suppose) were I were to accidentally or, conceivably, intentionally disclose the name of my vendor account in the course of this writing.

The thing is, I've been waiting for the 5 year statute of limitations to expire based on the last date I broke the law (shipped drugs). But is that based on that date or something else, like converted the BTC to cash or failed to report taxes on my relatively mediocre earnings? Likewise, if they had already opened an investigation into my account some years ago, which I believe to be the case on very good authority, then does the statute of limitations not apply? Or is it that they need to actually file charges to invalidate the SoL?

Just really want to finish this initial memoir I've been working on, and not, you know, get tackled by the FBI in a library after I write it. And end up publishing further books from a cell. Thanks for the advice guys, stay safe out there.

5 years isnt long enough for the money laundering and tax charges fyi

[2 Points] None:

You gotta consider other crimes you committed besides drug dealing. Like tax crimes, money laundering, mail fraud and maybe counterfeiting depending on what you sold. Why can't you write the book anonymously if you must use your username ? Or maybe leave out your username?

but why ? what's the point and what makes you think it's going to get published?

I would love to read the stories.

The criminals who get away with it don't tell anyone.

Best thing about dnms? Anonymous... just use a different name, or write the book under a different name

Maybe consult a lawyer? Not about any of the specific details or anything, but just ask hypotheticals
