what happened to 2-day priority?

i live in a biggish city, not massive but at least 1m population.

around august of 2015 damn near every priority pack was 2-day. rarely ever 3-day. only HoS had ass shipping times really.

why is it that it's like average 3-4 days now? used to damn near be overnight regardless of vendor. now it seems i order saturday and get it friday or the following saturday.

anyone else have trouble? even express packs take double the amount of time they used to from the same vendors each time. just miss speed of a vendor like it used to be.

ya ya i know i'm bitching but whatever. trying to move shit with slower shipping times definitely puts me more behind than i used to be :/

used to be more patient before using dnms lol

85% of my priorities are 2 day the rest are 3 day and some times there are package delays. In fact if a customer is really really close its hard to describe this distance, but some times bordering states get 1 day priority, its rare but i have have seen it happen multiple times. The point of my comment there is zero doubt in my mind that if a priority package is not arriving in 2-3 days then its being shipped later, probably dropped 24 hrs later. (or its delayed but that's rare circumstances)

How fast you receive packs varies greatly by where you live. I have gotten hundreds of messages asking this question and I always tell them the same thing, "2-4 days". A lot of my regulars would always get their packs in 2 days and tell me how fast my shipping is, while simultaneously getting messages from others saying "bro, it's been 3 days can i get tracking????"

I believe ALL Priority packs are supposed to be 2 days, but there was something posted last year about USPS shutting down a bunch of sorting facilities (if anyone else knows what I'm talking about and has the link, please post it) so don't count on it consistently being 2 days. I've personally had overnight express packs (non-DNM related, of course) take a few days before. o.o

Most of my packs have been 2 days, some 3 and a few rare ones 4-5.

One thing is I don't mark a pack shipped unless I know it's getting picked up by USPS that day. I don't drop in 1pm pick-up box at 3pm and marked it shipped. I work my ass off to make the pickups, because I want to be known for fast shipping. If people are seeing 3+ days priority shipping, and they live in at least a medium sized urban area, vendors must be marking shipped prematurely.

Vendor issues. My packs make it wherever in two to three days tops.

I've noticed longer times too, especially from vendors I've bought from before. Order on Friday, marked on Saturday I'll be lucky if it gets here on Thursday. I think it's just laziness and them saying the pack is shipped whenever they print the label - but god knows when they actually ship the pack because I know damn well they're not shipping it on a Sunday at 2 pm.

I find putting those last few numbers on your zipcode and capitalising the actual address part helps get parcels through quicker. Machines would process it faster in my opinion. Can help prevent it be put on the wrong route adding extra days. Just my opinion though, to each their own.
