what do X-ray proof bags look like under an X-ray machine?

i got LSD in the mail once and it came in one of these X-ray proof bags (http://www.xrayproofbags.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/nice-bag.jpg).

what i want to know is what do these bags show up like under an X-ray? do they show up as nothing at all? or do they show up as a solid block?

im wondering cause if LSD blotters are just paper if the x-ray proof bag shows up as a block that might look more suspicious then just putting the tabs in plastic to keep it from air and putting it with other papers. but if the x-ray proof bags show up as nothing at all then its probably a good idea.

You can't get X-ray-proof bag. What's it made out of? Black hole?

I used to work with 59 KeV X-rays, and they were only partly-attenuated by the sticky-backed lead sheet we stuck on everything, which required tin snips to cut.

The bag will just be to prevent the blotters getting wet. If it's metalized, thats just to prevent static electricity from damaging electronic components that are sometimes packaged in it.

You want stuff to be transparent to x-rays, not opaque. It would look like somebody posting a lead rectangle if such a material existed.

X-rays are attenuated by mass, so you would need the same mass of hydrogen or of lead per square meter to give the same attenuation

They are just normal MBB's They have no data on the construction of the bags, but I can guarantee they don't stop xrays :)

This is what you want... Still in research and development.

This is what luggage looks like on an X-ray

Bottom right of the image is a DSLR camera. Those lenses bend light/block the X-ray, so they appear dark.

An X-ray proof bag will block xrays, good for protecting film, or medication. Usually the bag is somewhat thin, so its still see through. If its still see through, the xrays got through, and may have done some damage.

If the xrays don't go through it will look solid black, over a certain size if objects within that black area can't be identified, its getting manually inspected.

Sure this is just an MBB

it looks like a non translucent bag. what else do you expect something invisible? Be logical

if they can x-ray bones and guns, they can x-ray that bag.

I was actually under the impression that mbbs made the bag look opaque, am I a retard?
