Thoughts, Techniques, and Tribunes with Ketamine Cooking ("Pre-cook/Re-cook")

Get a lot of questions about cooking up ketamine so figured would write this thread for the people.

Firstly the point I will go over is the benefits of cooking, of which are few in the grand scheme of things (fairly minimal). Many people cook because in their opinion it produces a "softer", finer ketamine for insufflation. Physically it may be more fine, yes, but technically crushing it to a fine powder will achieve nearly identical results. It's up to preference. You may be loosing some K while cooking though if you are not very precise or careful.

Cooking, in the true sense of the word, applies only to vials of K. This is when a vial is made from liquid to crystal. But the term has leaked into the recook niche.

FAQ: Q: "Why people who have crystal ketamine cook it?" A: They want it to be a fine powder for snorting and do not realize that simply crushing it up gives the same result. Some claim that it makes the K physically softer or more fine. Of course they have a lot of superstition attached to it as well (similar to different 'types' of LSD molecules when this is simply not true either).

Q: "Does it make it more powerful?" A: Absolutely not. If anything you lose some on the cook if not skilled.

Q: "What is the effect of cooking it?" A: Generally, a waste of time.

Some say when you dissolve the crystals and cook rather then just crushing you get a much lighter density powder (higher volume) that goes a lot further its also less hassle then crushing the crystals which can often be very hard. To each his own.

Techniques: Double Boiler Microwave

Double Boiler - take your K, mix with some water in a sauce pan or pot. Once you have another pot boiling underneath of it, put the second pot on top (or use a real double boiler). Mix infrequently, and as the water evaporates the K will precipitate and collect. Be careful not to burn it.

Microwave - Mix K with water, put into a porcelain tray / bowl. The time it takes for the microwave to evaporate the water will depend on your microwave, so just keep an eye on it. I think this method is sketchy personally. You don't need much water either, a few ML's should suffice for a gram. One dry scrape with a razor and snort.

Edit: One more tech: Open air bazar. Take the K, add about 1-2mL per gram, (crush be fore adding) and mix with water. Put on a windowsill or in the sunlight and let nature run it's course. Scrape and collect with a razor.

Oh man, I miss the vials I used to get. I always evaporated them in a shallow Pyrex pan with a hairdryer on low. Only took about 10min a vial, and didn't heat it up to much. The low heat and the airflow was all that was needed. Then I'd bust out the razor, scrape the dish, and pass the "party platter". Those were good times indeed.

Well, that clears up what MulanKetma refers to as cooked/uncooked on their vendor profile

I have actually found that sometimes it has 'boosted' the amount of powder there is; not the amount of K but the amount of powder due to the water distillation. I'm not entirely sure why this is, but it certainly has looked larger scratching it off the plate than out of the bag.

Another point to add is that the slower you boil the K = the better the outcome. So the oven method is the best method or blow drying with a hair dryer or something. I have never done these methods but I know people who I have and it makes the crystals look fabulous more than anything... Good for dealers if you want to impress your customers by aesthetics. Microwave or you can also use a tin can with a dented top (like the bottom of a Red Bull can) and rip it in half and then put K and small amount of water and light it with a lighter from the bottom (this method is good if you're out and about/have parents and can't just turn on the boiler to cook K). This is the worst way. The 'middle' method is the double boiler which contemplates for both quality and time.

Furthermore, you can add food colouring or flavourings to your distillation if you really want to be fancy. Simply add a small amount like a drop and you can have coloured K. Halloween is coming up so if you have a red food colouring then when you get polo/powder nose ring then looks like bloods dripping off for added halloweeny and spooky effects (lol). Vanilla flavouring has also been very pleasant to sniff :-) almost orgasmic with the right amount. It's very important to not over do it otherwise it will burn to fuck and make your eyes water.

May I also add that when cooking crystal to fine powder you only have 1 or 2 tablespoons of water (depends on the amount of powder, but this is say for a gram).

Just wanted to point out that drying K in the sun is probably the worst choice. Not because it won't work, but it would be the most likely to degrade the product. Microwave would be the second worst. Sunlight and microwaves are both forms of radiation that can alter a molecule. Heat can do it too, but sunlight is bad for most drugs. Some drugs degrade extremely fast in sunlight and absolutely have to be kept in the dark. K probably isn't one of those, but you should still keep it out of the sun. And this is my last post on the subject because I am now fiending for a vial. Preset just won't cut it now.

Why is IM preffered over IV? Does IV not have the same slide into a hole that IM does? I have no issue IVing, but i cant seem to bring myself to IM. Ive only sniffed K but I have IVed mxe. Again the idea of IM sounds paaaainful.

Never even heard of such a thing.

Mulan, you probably couldn't hook a brother up with a single vial could you? I'd live to do K right out of the glass one last time. I really took the vials for granted back then. Getting a 10 pack every month or so was awesome. Something about that ritual of drying it out and scraping up a big plate full of rails was just great. Not to mention the party platter was always good for scraping some bumps out of the corners when times got tough. That Pyrex was never good for cooking again. Man that batch of lasagna tasted awful!
