[Stupid question] Does anyone else...

When you've been waiting on a pack for so long and you see a mail truck in your area & you know its coming in that day do you ever feel like you're stalking the mail truck peeking out the windows just waiting for christmas morning?

I get so frustrated when I see mail trucks fly past my house knowing my packs coming but they're going the opposite way only to end up at my house 2 hrs later when they're only 5mins down the road (and I can see them from my house). Or am I the only fiend here...?

An unfortunate side effect of being a marketeer I'm afraid. We all become ravenous postal stalkers. For some of us it becomes a sexual fetish. I like to take my pack out of the mailbox, then put it back in, then take it back out, then...

4:44am. - check mailbox, no mail.

5:35am. - still no mail, leave home.

6:36am. - arrive at mail sorting centre.

6:46am. - make demands on cellphone to police that if your pack doesn't arrive in the next hour, you're going to burn one randomly addressed letter to santa every ten minutes.

7:07am. - open your pack. finalise escrow. burn a few letters to santa though coz they used red crayons on the envelope and you're into gangs that rep pink.

=)

sign up for the myusps, then set text alerts. Then, for most packs, you get a nice text message when it's been delivered. This saved me from checking the mailbox every half hour. Assign a custom notification to the usps text number, then when you hear that magic sound, you know it's there.

Yeeeeeeeah our neighbors give us funny looks as we repeatedly go out into the hall to check the mail.

If I'm driving and I see a USPS Postal worker and their about to make a turn or want to pass, you best believe I let them go. ALWAYS take care of your drug dealer.

Hahaha

Our normal postie delivers express down here, and it's usually arrived to my letterbox by 8.30am so I make sure I am in the lounge room so I can hear their car by around 8am.

What kills me is hearing the car, getting to the letterbox and finding it empty as they drive down the road.

I die a little inside.

My missus is worse, she wakes up at 4am and checks the letterbox every twenty minutes or so, just no chill hahaha
