Phone number trace

Gotten some threatening calls recently from a local number who has been threatening my family and business. Does anyone know an efficient wvay to see the number is registered too? Is there any way that is possible? If this is off topic feel free to downvotr just have no idea where else to post this.

edit: I have only gotten that its a sprint number and in my town from whitepages and and a couple other sources. Not one of them can give me his name so far

Edit: thanks for all the help. Plans in motion. Namaste

Edit2: Mission Accomplished

have you tried doing a reverse lookup? whitepages.com has a feature that allows you to enter a given phone number and it will return any info it has regarding it.

Find a landline with caller id. Spoof a call from the number to the landline. See the name that comes up on CID.

If that doesn't work find the area that the phone belongs to. Spoof the # again and call a local pizza place. See if it gets a hit for the name/address.

There is a billion ways to get this, and I'm shocked nobody here said anything about spoofing.

If you have the money, hire a private investigator.

Wish, I saw this earlier. It didn't happen to me but to my little brother, My older brother doesn't live with us so when my little brother got the threatening call they were saying to deposit money to an account through Western Union. My little brother might of gaven the caller a hint that my brother doesn't live with us so they changed the story to my brother being tighted up and if we don't despoit the money in a certain amount of time they will kill him.

I was in bed at the time awake but didn't know what was going on and my mom came to my room freaking out. We called my brother to make sure he's ok and he confirmed that he was working. My dad started talking to the guy and felt like it was a scam. I decided to speak with the guy and i said how much is he asking? he said "$2,500" i literally started laughing. Seriously? kill someone for $2,500 and deposit ransom at a Western Union.

He said " hang up and i'll look for your family etc" Luckily we had our older brother on the other line so i just hung up and before I did I told him "worst way to scam someone you scum. if you are threatening for that amount you should change up your script". [it was a male hispanic btw]

I called my local cop friend and he said its been going around lately. i searched the phone number on google and people have reported that number with same threatening call.

Pretty sure you can google the number and there are sites you can pay to get info behind that number. Not sure of their legitimacy but I have seen it.

I can download a slew of apps that will create a free anonymous texting and phone number for me to use. I'm sure many other are using these services to do ill things.

he sounds like a faggot coward. borrow a gun that's legal, have your friend who you borrow it from take you and a family member to train on it.

this guy will never show up

Here is one thing..STOP USING YOUR OWN PHONE NUMBER.

[-4 Points] snoodsispro:

*69 and get the number.

[-3 Points] scruffwuff:

Am I the only one who read this correctly...? Obviously whoever is calling him and his family is using *67 so that he can't see the number at all... I know that police can unblock numbers. Not sure about a service or how u would go about that...
