Hello,
I was wondering if I could get this community's input on a website I'm working on. It deals with non-government actors doing what most people think only the government can do. It's called, I Can't Believe It's Not Goverenment!. It's a curated wiki, and I'm looking for people interested in contributing.
I came across an article in The Verge about the LSD Avengers. So, I decided to start on this stub of an article. However I know very little about the subject, not being a denizen of this community myself. I imagine there are people here who are enthusiastic about this aspect of dark markets, who may be interested in helping to fill it out. If Silk Road is too narrow a scope, we could expand it. Or, start new articles if specific markets have particular tendencies in this sort of thing.
Again, this is part of a greater project to collect stories about voluntary efforts (not just illegal ones) doing "the government's job". I know there are other interesting things to be said about dark markets. So, feel free to start articles in the appropriate sections of the site, about dispute resolution, etc.
The one caveat I should make is, I want to make sure that the sources we cite are reliable, so it's convincing to outsiders. More or less, we want sources that would be deemed acceptable by Wikipedia. (you can see our general writing guidelines here ). Citing pro-Silk Road sources won't be very convincing. Citing an academic study or a news article would be. You can see in the current story that I cite an interview with the LSD Avengers on theverge.com. I'm even a little wary about that one, despite The Verge being a mainstream website, since the author seems sympathetic to the Silk Road (looking at her Twitter account). I also cite a large Silk Road archive, which isn't great, but it seems convincingly enough to be a mindless dump of what was on there, rather than curated to make Silk Road seem favorable. If you know about sources that are less biased than that, that would be awesome. If there is some sort of verifiable, archived discussion (not on the deep web) showing these testers in action, that would be super awesome.
Thanks!
You can find a lead on dox of one of em if you check out their Majestic Garden onion, user profile #2 or 3 I think. Not gonna help you with the actual personal details though.
