PO box basic questions. Why bother?

Is it useless to open a po box without fake Id? Figure If I don't and send a package to that PO box in a fake name or otherwise, if it gets intercepted, won't Le just aquire my home address from the postal service a day kick my door off (for a ounce of MDMA).

Australian based so any help much appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Disclaimer: US based, OZ is probably similar.... probably

If you open up a PO box in a fake name and get busted picking it up, then you can kiss credible deniability goodbye.

If you open the PO box in your name and get busted picking it up, then you can try and claim you had no knowledge of the contents of the package.

You've basically got the same chance of being caught either way, but one way will screw up your main claim to being innocent.

OK.

If you open the PO box using fake ID and the package is found, you are most likely adding another charge to the drugs charge. You also can't really say you didn't know it was illegal, because why else would you open the PO box using a fake ID...it looks really bad if you think of it that way. If you open it using your real details then yes the police will come to your door. But it's just the same as if a package is found being delivered to your home, you have no idea what was in it, you weren't expecting anything, what's a tor, etc.

What's your mail situation at home - box, slot, entryway?

I like the PO box because it reduces the chance of a package being stolen or mis-delivered.

[1 Points] thr0wawaay2:

If the package is intercepted, they can't necessarily get a warrant to also search your house if it goes to a PO Box.

If you use fakes, there is that added layer of protection as well (or added charges, depending on how you use it...)

Well, they're not gonna stake out a PO Box 24/7 for days on end. And they aren't going to let you just pick up your package that knowingly has drugs in it and let you take it somewhere. They don't know you're going home with it. If you get a slip in a PO box you know is more than big enough, abort.

[1 Points] druggieslut:

In a po box your neighbors won't steal your mail out of the box, and the mail won't get wet if it rains.

[0 Points] None:

they do have cameras where you pick up yyour mail in the PO box area, (if its 24/7) so that is something to be weary of
