I don't know if this has been posted or not but it was my first instinct to do so. Should this be a single to stay away from MEM?
Should we stay away?

We had met at a bar. I told him I was an economist. He told me he was a pot dealer. You might think we wouldn’t have had much to talk about. But the most exciting story in economics is one where an innovation disrupts a market and creates new ones. So once he said the “dark web” had totally changed his business model in just a few years, I knew he could tell me things that would really blow my mind.
The dealer, Paul (not his real name), explained how much easier it is to do business if he orders his supply over the web. In some ways, it’s safer—he can buy a wider range of cannabis, gets more consistent quality, doesn’t have to personally interact with his suppliers, and it’s quick and easy. But getting large amounts of marijuana shipped to him through the mail remains a major source of risk. To minimize it he employs a third party—a facilitator—to handle the delivery.
Wait, so Paul's pickup line is that he buys weed off the darknets and then sells it locally? Game could use a little improvement.

You're either working for a different market or completely senseless. There are feds on this board and on every major darknetmarket placing orders and taking notes. That article joins the mountain of other articles talking about dnms and showing a screenshot or two of drugs for sale.

This article was posted, and IIRC /u/Theeconomist1 was quoted in it and even answered a few questions (didn't reread the article) - so this isn't exactly breaking news.
Apparently, what is breaking news to you, is that this is open public sub, and LE know how to use the internet! This however, is just a journo.

Good article. I don't see why it would be reason to stay away from any markets, though.
What particularly makes you feel lik this is a reason to avoid MEM? just because they use screenshots from it? They also use screenshots from nucleus.
Articles get written about the darknet all the time that mention specific sites. Black Market Reloaded was used in the movie Dope, It's not around any more but it's an example.
Regardless, I'm interested in your reasoning here.
