Do I need to freak out?

Hi all,

Hopefully you can ease my stressed conscious. Four days ago I had an order (recreational amounts of blow) marked as shipped (Express) and it is yet to arrive. I know the likelihood is low that I have a CD or even a loveletter coming. I am just wondering if it is normal for an express shipment to take this long and hopefully some confirmation that I am freaking out over nothing. Apologies for worrying, but this is my first order and it is definitely giving me some jitters.

Edit: It was domestic which should give me even less of a reason to stress right?

I would normally tell you to burn something down and move, but today I'm telling you to relax. Give it a few more days. Message vendor for tracking or advice. If you're paranoid just clean house and don't sign for anything. Relax and listen to some nice soothing death metal.

I just said this in another thread but I will repeat it.

I have noticed a trend that vendors get priority express envelopes and postage, but still drop the envelope in a blue box instead of taking it to the post office and filling out the triplicate form required for overnight.

I had a package sent to me at my moms house a few months ago. I know the carrier (family friend; this isn't bad opsec) and had let her know I was expecting an express package and to leave w/o signature if I wasn't there. She brought it to me the following evening after her regular route as it hadn't shown in time and she knew I was waiting for it. She told me it was labeled improperly and that the post office will generally only treat those as priority or regular mail and not express regardless of packaging/postage.

Without the proper label, they're not obligated to treat it differently but typically will in sorting since they recognize the packaging. But if the origin sort doesn't affix a tracking label, they don't do anything different with it. It is up to the carrier if they want to expedite delivery (express is before 11am usually) but they aren't required to in that case and it just depends on who handles it.

What does a CD mean?

You do realize that an order being "marked as shipped" by the vendor is not actual proof that its been shipped, right? Vendors get paid when the order is marked as shipped, so LOTS of them mark orders as shipped a day (or several days) before they are actually shipped just so they can access their coins early.

I'm not saying that's the case regarding your shipment, but the only proof of it being shipped on a certain day is a tracking number.

USPS is gearing up for the holidays, lots of staff and policy changes. I've heard the parcels stay in the office for 2 days before being sent but just be patient.
