Recent problems with Xpresspost to USA?

Have made several personal use orders from a well known Canadian vendor over the last year. Tracking on the last pack hasn't updated since being processed (3 weeks ago). Vendor has now updated their profile to say that they no longer offer Xpresspost/tracked shipping to the US, so I'm obviously not the only one.

Anybody have a similar experience or know what's up? There is legislation in the works to allow CBSA to inspect packages < 30g, but it hasn't gone through yet. Are they scanning fake return addresses now?

Should I expect a love letter? I'm assuming the address is burned.

The legislation you refer to is to allow Canadian inspectors to open first class INCOMING mail under 30 grams. They needed a warrant in the past. That legislation is only for mail coming into Canada. Not positive but I don't think they check outgoing mail. Your incoming mail will be checked by USA customs.
