Sketched the F out. Thought I was being CD'd.

Yesterday bought a g of #4 with express shipping off market. Talking back & forth with the vendor, he told me "signature is always waived". Today, just now, mail truck pulls up, out steps this beautiful postal worker (or cop?). I get about halfway down to drive, figure that way I can scope for any unusual vehicles etc. I go to grab the package and she kind of pulls it back "Signature please". Wtf, my heart instantly drops, I reply "Oh I thought they said no signature in case I was at work", she looks down at the paperwork in her hand and replies "Oh you're right, I'm used to most of these requiring a signature". Hands me my package. Heart is still racing. Anything like this ever happen to anyone else?

I love to F CD's

edit: you still might have been CD'd though. did you notice an adam's apple?

I'm glad everything turned out OK but I just want to point out that you could have f'ed yourself if it was a CD.

You said to the postwoman: "Oh I thought they said no signature in case I was at work."

Well this implies you knew the package was coming. If it was a CD, then guess what they had you with or without a signature after that comment.

I think alot of you misunderstand this signed for delivery thing.

When you sign for a packagem you are signing to say - the package was passed from the postal service, to me. This could be because you are the recipient, or because you share the address, or because you like standing on peoples door steps while they are at work.

Nowhere - other than r/dnm - is it assumed that when you sign for a package, you are signing to say you ordered the package/ know who sent it/ know what it contains.

Never in my life have i been handed the parcel before ive signed. And never can i remember even knowing who it was addressed to before I signed. In fact I've had instances where I've signed for one, after I look a tthe label I see it is for next door and the delivery man has already fucked off halfway down the road.

IF YOU GET A CONTROLLED DELIVERY - THE SIGNATURE WILL NOT BE THE DECIDING FACTOR IN WHWETHER OR NOT YOU GET CHARGED

Read that again. Keep reading it until you get it.

Whether you get charged or not will depend on whether there is any evidence they can find that you ordered/ are expecting the package and are aware it contains drugs. AND most importantly - whether or not you get caught out in your own bullshit, Keiser Soze-wannabe, web of lies at the police station.

You should have pulled her inside your house when she handed you the package so she couldn't call for back up.

Guess I don't understand all the negativity towards OP here. Dude is sharing an experience. Did he go a bit overboard and probably be overly paranoid...yeah most definitely. Personally I've signed for numerous packages and never had any issues. To each their own I suppose.

I don't know, I feel like 9/10 express packs I get, I'm still asked for a signature regardless of whether or not the signature's been waived. It's usually my usual mailman, and obviously not a CD, so I just go ahead and sign for it. It would be weirder and more awkward to not sign for it. To your point, I think PO workers are just used to having signature's required on Express packages. I can't even count the number of times I've signed for an Express package containing drugs, and not thought anything of it.

That said, I think in the future I'll take a line out of your playbook and just say something like "oh I thought he didn't request a signature" - there's no reason to sign for a pack if I don't have to, even if it's obviously not a CD.
