[GeneralQuestions] Used a fake name?

Made my first purchase on evo, 10 tabs lsd. Everything in the ordering process went fine, and when I gave my shpping info I used a fake name. All the research I had done in the previous week had me in the mindset that nothing should be tied to my real identity. Well I continue browsing forums and reading and see people saying NOT to use a fake name for your address. Should I freak out or no? I assume it will be mailed in an envelope and I dont think they screen every envelope for name-address matches but maybe Im wrong? Obviously it was a dumb mistake and I wont do it again, just wanting to know if I should be worried or not

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies and info guys/gals, much appreciated. I think everything will be alright, but I'll let you know if it goes south.

Lol what research was that. Everyone here will say to use your real name and real address.

Lived in the same house for nearly 20 years. Same mail lady for 19 of those years. Anything with a different last name would look suspicious.

More than likely it'll make it. But it does bring potentially extra scrutinity to the letter. Once in a while it may not get delivered if mailman knows someone doesn't live there by that name. The goal is to make dnm packs look like everything else, to blend in. Best way to do that is to use the name associated with the mailing address.

It can draw more attention should the mailman be more informed about the delivery area. For example an apartment complex with mailboxes will usually have a sticky note or nameplate on the delivery side with everyone's name. Occassionally when I have moved or someone has mis-typed their name/number it will still be delivered to my mailbox but there will be a big handwritten question mark on the envelope and a circle of the receipient name. A street address may get the same thing but as long as there is nothing wrong with the shipment you should be fine.

if you need to go get it at your local post office you would need id and with said fake name that I presume would cause a problem? def use your real name...

I used a fake name for about 2 year until I came to a few packages from great rep vendors saying package is deliverd and to my behold I have to go pick it up from the post office and I don't have any I.D for the fake name so I'm screwed. If you do use a fake name be prepared.

3.3.1 Use of Occupant Address. The occupant address format (“Postal Customer” or “Occupant,” “Householder,” or “Resident”) may be used to address mail selectively to a rural route and box number, a specific street number, or a specific Post Office box number without using the addressee’s name: Example POSTAL CUSTOMER 2711 ORDWAY ST NW APT 204 WASHINGTON DC 20008-5036

3.4.1 Use of Exceptional Address The exceptional address format (“Jane Doe or Current Resident” or “Jane Doe or Current Occupant”) may be used on any mail except mail types listed in 3.1.2. The word “Current” is optional. The order of the words may be reversed (e.g., “Current Resident or Jane Doe” rather than “Jane Doe or Current Resident”).

FYI. Source

Names not necessary if using format under 3.3.1. Also, based on 3.4.1, a fake name/previous tenant's name might work, citing ignorance. This doesn't work for mail types under 3.1.2, which is priorty, registered, etc. Anything except regular mail.

It'll be delivered fine anyways. Names are inconsequential in most cases unless you're signing for them or there's some delivery issue that requires the verification of the receipient.
