Can someone explain this to me? I saw this on the front page of BB:
User-to-User USD: $0.01 + 2.00 % USD BTC: 0.000037464 + 2.00 % BTC
Withdrawal BTC: 0.0001 + 1.00 % BTC
So if I make a purchase, I am essentially paying 0.000037464 BTC and then 2% of the TOTAL of the trade on top of that?! Shit if that's how it is I might just wait till Agora gets back up -.-
No, that's the fee not to make a purchase but if you wanted to transfer bitcoins directly to another user, like say you had a friend who needed some money in his account then if you knew his username you could send money into his BlackBank account. Most markets have this feature but fees vary based on what they want to charge. Making a purchase however is different, you don't have to pay a fee since you're not directly sending the vendor money, and there's not a fee since they'll make commission money off the purchase.
The fee is supposed to be to cover the cost to them of doing a bitcoin transaction for you, even though I'm sure it doesn't cost them that much, but they want to make money on as many things as they can. You'll never need to use that service if the only thing you ever do is make purchases.
