Localbitcoins now requires sellers to request photo id

Iv recently noticed alot of cash deposit btc vendors are now requesting more personal info. Is this a new rule for sellers? What's your next move in order to get btc in a way with more opsec.

I just created a libertyx account, going to try that pretty soon since a new store luckily showed up localy :)

Fuck LBC, they carded me to verify my account for "fraud" and yea some vendors ask for ID, and then the banks ask for ID, and MG an WU ask for ID (and they never even let you send the cash)

So yea cash by mail or in person is the most anoymous. Or you can tumble well, unless you're buying a shitload of weight (and I actually mean like a shitload)

Oh and the policy is called KYC laws.....

Is this a LBC requirement or is it just some sellers?

Cash by mail, always wanted to try libertyx is just seems so easy and good to be true sadly the closest one by me is a city over and looks like they took down a lot of stores compared to last year

I never would've thought it be as easy and quick as it is but MG has worked beautifully the last several times - Even though it has a "senders name" Ive never had to show ID to prove it was me - Maybe this could help idk

It's actually just some sellers. I've noticed an increase in the trend though, I think more people are just trying to cover their asses. If you look around though there are plenty which actually specify there is no ID or anything required.

WallofCoins.com

You place an order to buy, they give you and account name and number, you go and make the deposit, they text the seller to check his bank. If the deposit is there they will give WallofCoins permission to release the coins.

If not you text back NO, if deposit wasnt made.

How disputes are handled, I am not sure yet, but I can imagine it is pretty straight forward. Buyer should have a deposit receipt, and seller should be able to show a screen show or something to prove if coins should be released or not.
