Unexplained Lapse in usps tracking. Should I be worried?

I have a package en route that was shipped 16 days ago and should have been here latest last Friday. Vendor finally gave my tracking and a small partial reimbursement.

Tracking shows the package departed its original facility and then does not have it arriving to the next facility for 9 days. Just kind of a 9 day lapse. It now says en route to destination

Should I be worried? is this a possible LE thing, like they had my package and were waiting for a warrant? or is it just usps being retarded?

usually they try to keep them as on time and normal looking as possible, they really prefer not to warn anyone they plan on busting..

Just usps being usps

I've had this happen with a DNM pack. It was 12 days to land where it normally took 2. I got tracking and it dropped completely off on day 2 at the shippers sort facility. Day 9 the pack pops up in a completely different state. Then it arrived to me 2 days after that. I suspect it got thrown on wrong logistics path and got lost. Then found. It happens. LE doesn't need to take that long to do a CD. They'd make it as streamlined as possible so as to not tip you off

Its possible it got knocked off an auto sorter and waiting to be found and thrown back in the mix.

You'll be the 1st to know. But its not gonna take no nine days to get a warrent. What was the nature of your package?

If they knew what was in it, they wouldn't let it go out of pocket like that. Think about it....
