Why would someone join a market which requires pgp signing ?

Just saying, I avoided joining because I found this to be odd. Most folks who just shop on the dark markets don't know much about pgp. I can definitely understanding the vendors having to use pgp but not the buyers.

I will wait a few months and see if this market is legit.

Lets face it.....for those of us with time.....we see most of the markets come with big promises and then go like a thief in the night

PGP is enforced to keep people off the markets that can't figure it out. Your post is really stupid to be honest. The whole point of PGP is to keep buyers/vendors as safe as possible. People that can't take the time to figure it out are liabilities. Such as yourself for example, please delete your reddit account and stop using any market asap.

So you send your address in clear text?

[8 Points] endedbytheknife:

  1. 2FA (two-factor authorization) - If your login credentials are compromised, the 2FA acts as a barrier because you need to verify the encrypted message.
  2. If vendor has to communicate you, it's good to have pgp so they can encrypt. Else, they might cancel or be the dumb ones who send tracking unencrypted.

Might as well write your address and email it to your local police department.

No one is making you take those 2 extra seconds.

By all means if that is too much effort don't be surprised if your wallet balance ends up being zero or cry about being worried your address is in LEA hands after they seize a server.

Some people can't learn new things, but those that do are always more prosperous in the end.

Which market do you speak of?

[2 Points] staycloser2me:

Such market wouldnt be very popular and can become another DHL, small and reliable, before somebody haks it.

[2 Points] DNMTiger:

All buyers should know pgp, thats opsec 101, everyone should know pgp and never auto encrypt or clear text especially after what happened with hansa and AB

[1 Points] unauthrized:

if people buying drugs don't know how to use pgp yo shouldn't be using DNM.

i don't see any negatives for forcing pgp login Prevents phishing, communicating securely, protects your identity adress, assential OPSEC. LE being mostly brain dead would have trouble understanding how to even login.

Anyone buying on the markets should know about pgp... buyers and vendors... tf you talking about?
