Dealing with accounts with 0 purchases

Hi guys, I had a quick question. Let's say you recently started a vendor account and placed up a posting for a pack of edibles. Some dude messaged me asking about buying 50-100 units of this item. His feedback history shows that he has made 0 purchases and has been a member since July.

Obviously this is a bust and he's most likely going to scam me, right?

I just want an experienced vendor's opinion on this because I'm a little new to the whole vending scene.

Many users switch accounts for purchases. Your paranoia is showing

Well since a good chunk of the DNM closed down a lot of your customers are going to have 0 purchases as everyone makes new accounts.

This is possibly a scam tho.

[3 Points] basjin:

well, that does mean, new vendors with less ratings would always scam too?

its up to you, if you cant afford it, you dont need to accept the order.

there will always be people trying to scam/extort vendors.

How can he scam you with escrow? Just make sure to pack it right just in case it's a cop and try to drop it off without being identified

Nothing to worry about, I'd say. I switch up my buyer accounts and keys fairly regularly just for security purposes, nothing ever gets used more than a couple times.

How do you scam as a buyer

[2 Points] weeeeee6:

If 0 purchases scares you than you should not be vending. Many new users on these markets since the market was not used before. AB/Hansa were the top dogs, nobody cared for the others.

Why don't you just tell him what your are thinking and ask him? Being straight forward with people is usually a lot better in life.

[1 Points] DooshNozzzle:

just make all of your accounts and listings FE and you don't have to worry about all this bullshit.

So you will never sell to 0 purchase users?

Stat that in your terms that the buyer must have 5 or 10 transactions first.

Hope your a big vendor to get away with that, but clearly just started so it's going to be a long slow start sorry
