[PSA/Article] Coinbase Does Not Flag Tumblers/Markets

I actually had a mod argue with me on this. They stated in a post that they know of several accounts of people therefore OP NEEDED to tumble. Well the only problem I can recall is a person posting that CB sent them an email stating they knew they were buying marijuana seeds and flagged them. I'm welcome to anyone linking me to any other proof that this happens. I have always used CB. I have never tumbled. I just completed another great transaction. CB>DNM>ME. My numbers are up there as well.

I am in no way bashing tumblers but I feel like that shilly post might have been from a tumbler mod or something trying to get business

As people all the time state, tracing block chain has never really resulted in a bust. All the posts that claim cops showed up from blockchain have had their stories deflated fast.

Edit: It was from a different throwaway with the mod and when I asked them for proof I was ignored. You know who you are.

If I was a larger buyer I might consider it but I'm just trying to say i never have (all the way from SR1) and I'm still here. If it makes you feel safer, do it. If you're doing it because of something you read here you might just be wasting coins.

For anyone curious, here's the thread about the account being banned for "buying seeds"

This was me. I forgot the damn password. I meant to say that a mod stated they knew of several people getting busted (or how they phrased it to a noob "their door getting kicked in") from not tumbling. I'd love to know where because I have been on this sub for a long time. Thank you to the mod that unblocked my post. It's greatly appreciated because it getting removed was a bit ridiculous.

I'm glad you feel safe sending straight from an account linked to your identity to an illegal marketplace.

Most people would feel a little bit safer sending from Coinbase to Electrum before going to a DNM. Puts a little distance between themselves and the DNM and helps people to get in the habit of controlling their own coin locally. A win-win and you didn't even have to tumble.

To each his own though.
