Question to vendors: what type of vacuum sealer should I get?

For powders in amounts as low as 100mg and as high as 10g (probably starting at around 250mg to 2g), what type of vacuum sealer and bags should I get? I'm just not sure. I've done months of research and I have a very good strategy planned out, but I'd love to have input from vendors on what to do in regards to vacuum sealers.

The sites that sell them seem to be ranged from $15 to $180 and most have pictures of sealing larger meats. What should I get for smaller bags?

You have done months of research and you can't figure out what vacuum sealer setup to get? Not from any experience here but I feel there possibly may me some more challenging issues you will face vending. I can see your next post asking what kind of stamps to use and if the forever stamps are really forever.

FoodSaver is the best in my opinion. I've used others and usually been disappointed even when they were the expensive types.

I have one of the regular FoodSaver vac sealers. Cost me ~$50 at Target. I bought it 5 years ago, used to use it daily, and it still works well. I've used others that did not even last a year before they stopped working well (taking forever to stop vacuuming and start sealing is the usual sign of breakdown. Vacuum sucking phase takes longer and longer and gets weaker and weaker).

Don't listen to these haters telling you you'll fail because you want a tip on which vac sealer to get. They're know-nothing busy bodies who can't tell you which one to get because they've never even owned a vac sealer much less seriously considered vending. These are not people you need advice from.

I see where this guy is coming from. You guys just flamed him on postage. I'm gonna guess you are worried about losing product while sealing. I take a credit card and hold the powder in place at the bottom of the bag until the sealer is finished. It's not too hard. Kinda like pinching the stuff into place so make sure it doesn't suck it out on accident.

A vac sealer is secondary, and optional, what you need are MBB's and Hair Straighteners or an impulse sealer :)
