I feel like Agora is down more than it is up

I can only get into the site once every other day or so. So fucking slow and unresponsive. I just wanna message vendors about product and I can't even get the site to load.

This is enough to make me never use Agora again. How many of you feel this way?

Agora is usually up, running and fast overnight in the U.S... I mean, in the dead of the night, like 1 AM to 5 AM. Yeah, that probably sucks if you're American. To OP, if you want to message Agora vendors, you should use the Agora forum, which is always up. Many vendors are there, and the bigger ones have review threads.

Depending on who you believe, the site is being DOS'ed by any or all of the following:

Take your pick.

agora has been up before?

i mean i've heard stories but i thought they were myths

I feel like if it wasn't Agora it would just be another market, where a lot vendors migrate to after the previous popular market blows up, has problems, and dies. Its like a circle

edit: ps- im in and its working fine (10:35)

double ps - its after work on payday

[2 Points] Wolf0:

I do, but I don't think it's Agora's fault. It's being DDoS attacked, from what I hear.

[3 Points] roionsteroids:

Fuck Agora and their users and their fucking referral spam everywhere, like /u/gringo90.

[2 Points] numericalorder:

Me as well, Ive never even been able to get past the sign-up screen without it having a connection issue.

[2 Points] Nexus117:

I'm not sure if the people complaining about the downtime are just new to darknet sites or something, but the original silkroad was down extremely frequently in its day as well. I would bet that 20-30% of the time it wouldnt load for me (that is until a few months before takedown, seems like they added more servers at that point). This is not Agora trying to make a dash, they are under a DDos attack, and add that to the multitude of people migrating to it after silkroad V2, and you get stressed servers and downtime. Just relax and let them restore functionality.

I just used BSM today and its pretty nice. They require PGP for addresses.

It's too bad since I'd like to finalize a ton of stuff I ordered. I feel bad for the vendors.

I've been digging Evolution. I haven't looked too much at the others, TMP seemed slow and not set up as well.

[1 Points] WezzyP:

i dont know what eeveryone is bitching about ive had minimal issues. Just a bit of reloading here and there.

[1 Points] MileHighNerd:

I must be alone, but for the last couple days I haven't had many problems. It is slower that usual but not timing out on me 9/10 times like it had been for the last week or so. Hopefully it will continue to improve.

[1 Points] sharpshooter789:

I was able to get on agora 6 UTC (2pm EST | 11 am PST). To withdraw my coins and it was very fast.

[1 Points] None:

why havnt all the vendors moved to TMP?

[1 Points] None:

It's not a feeling it's down 80 percent of the time.

[1 Points] Anon352120:

I'm kind of scared of sending coins to Agora. Is it working fine in that regard?

[-1 Points] vinzvinz:

What you are doing is illegal going in darknet markets. It will not be perfect.
