Long time lurker, first time poster. I am coming to seek the advice of the Internet on the vendor MedicinalMary. I bought on AB an order that was marked shipped Monday the 22nd. However, they said the package should show up in myUSPS, and it is now Friday, no sign of the package or the package showing up on the dashboard. This has me worried because they say it should "show up within 24 hours of being dropped off." Makes me think they never shipped it, but what do I know? I have heard of things not showing on myUSPS for no reason at all, although I've never had a problem with it as long as the pack had a tracking number.
The main issue is: I'm leaving town next week and do NOT want a package of that nature just sitting around while I'm not here. They haven't been online since Wednesday on AB, but were online yesterday on Dream, so I sent them messages on both yesterday -- nothing back. I read the profile page on Dream which said that they are going through a personal loss right now (which I feel bad) and are going to go into vacation mode soon, but are still shipping orders that were placed...no idea when that was put there but it is not posted on their Hansa or AB profiles, just Dream. They said be assured that all orders that have been marked shipped have actually been shipped, but I am still very skeptical and wary due to both the myUSPS thing, and the fact that with my location nothing should take more than 3 days in the mail sent priority. They are now showing activity on Hansa today, but nothing on AB ever since Wednesday, which has me sort of confused.
I of course am going to give the pack one more day to show up tomorrow before I really start to seriously worry. If it doesn't show up tomorrow though, what should my next steps be? I am thinking message them one more time tomorrow if it doesn't show, then dispute? A priority pack from anywhere in the US shouldn't take 5 days in the mail to my location, and they are listing 4 days as the required amount of time, so I would think a dispute might be at least somewhat appropriate, especially given that there is absolutely nothing to confirm on my end (i.e. myUSPS) that the pack was actually truly shipped, and they say their packs typically do go into myUSPS.
I just can't have a pack showing up and sitting around while I'm out of town, as I don't live alone and if someone opened it that would be really really bad. I always have the opportunity to snag the mail when no one is home, as it comes at a fairly predictable time during the day every day, but obviously won't have that opportunity come next week. I allowed more than enough time for the order to arrive, but the chances of it showing up 2 days late tomorrow when it's not even in myUSPS at all seem to be slim to none.
What should I do? What is the best way to contact this vendor and actually get a reply? If it hasn't been shipped, I need to stop it from being shipped at this point and get a refund for my BTC. I'm thinking a dispute is the best way to go about that, no?
