On buying weapons - is it all a scam?

Hello everyone,

I'm aware that The Armory and similar sites mostly are scams, but I see that Alphabay and a couple of other markets have guns for sale, and that the sellers both have a lot of positive feedback (though mostly for other things than guns - usually MDMA, cocaine and other drugs), and they allow escrow.

So I'm curious: How easy is it to game the feedback system? Do the sellers operate several accounts, and transfer BTC back and forth between these to fake purchases and enable positive reviews? How safe is the escrow system?

Set the LE issue aside for a second: Basically what I'm curious about is whether I'm putting my hard earned money in grave danger by buying from a seller with a lot of feedback from a lot of buyers, and who uses escrow. What should I look out for?

Thanks!

I'm sure I won't be the first to tell you buying weapons is a bad idea online ... Almost every time someone does its a scam or LE like you have read...you can count on 1 hand the amount of positive successful firearm purchases on the DNM.

I believe in this situation its best to go with the gut feeling and stay away. My advice? Go to a gun auction and go completely legal . much cheaper, just need an ID , and its perfectly legal . You do the math.

As a gun vendor from SR1 days be prepared to have some slow days and your guns are worth more to the Brits and Mexicans. I used to own a gun store so I can help you price any gun for the most part

Chance of LE, chance of it getting stuck in customs ( even if they ship in multiple packs), scam chance. You'd be better off buyin one off the streets tbh if you gonna have an unregistered firearm
