[OPSEC/Computer] Removing Location on Downloaded Images

Ok so i got a header for my sub reddit downloaded from the internet do i need to worry about the location data attached to it if i downloaded it from tor and it is saved on my computer? Is it safe to just upload as a header i feel like there is a location piece i still need to take out even though i downloaded it

if you're really worried about it, import it into ms paint and save it as a new file in jpg format. paint automatically strips all exif data.

If you downloaded it from someone else on the internet and didn't take it yourself even if there was exif data in the image it wouldn't link to you.

Use GIMP ( basically free Photoshop) to crop images, when you save as .jpg one advanced option will show a check box next to EXIF data. Uncheck so no EXIF data is saved with ur image. Or u could upload to imgur.com or anony.ws both sites take off location data automatically ... Feel free to email us with any more questions sacdirtycrew@tutanota.de
