No password needed to decrypt?

So in my gpa i noticed that the first thing I decrypted today needed my password. Every message after has not needed it for decryption.. Why? I have even shut down the program and restarted it but now it just decrypts without a pass-phrase.. Whats up?

In the GPA settings look for something called "Enable GPG Agent" or something to that effect. If that is enabled, it will only prompt you for your password like once every few hours or something. If you turn it off, you'll be prompted every time.

gpgconf --reload gpg-agent

That command should fix it. Weird, I never saw that persisting after a reboot, at least on my machines.

Same thing happened today to me actually ..::even after restarting my computer...and I don't like it. I didn't change any settings either.

It's normal for it to save it if you continue to decrypt within minutes though...but surely not after the computers reset.

Tails or no? You're sure it rebooted, and didn't just hibernate?
