[OPSEC/Computer]What should I be doing with my router?

I'm running tails, which I know spoofs the computer's mac address, but what about the router's mac address? Should I be taking steps to spoof this? If so, how?

MAC spoofing is mostly to prevent you from being tracked across public WiFi access points by the owners of those access points (or by LE through getting the logs from the owners).

From here:

Using your own computer at home. Your identity and the MAC address of your computer are already associated to this local network, so MAC address spoofing is probably useless. But if access to your local network is restricted based on MAC addresses it might be impossible to connect with a spoofed MAC address.

You might check to see if your router supports sending your data through a VPN since Tails does not natively support VPNs.

If you're using Tor from home - your ISP knows you're using tor . Doesn't matter what your MAC address is on your laptop, router or anything else. The IP address of your home connection is what's visible to the outside

Whether or not LE cares is a different question
