THEORY OR BULLSHIT?

I was wondering if it was possible to encrypt a bit coin with like some sort of trojan virus or hack to the extent when you send it to a foreign address it will resend itself back but with bit coins from the foreign address? lol it was a random thought. Im not trying to hack anyone or anything haha.

Definately not possible bitcoin is a protocol.

Both.

Not at all possible.

Bitcoins aren't even a "thing" - technically they're the proof of an event that occurred. Think of the blockchain as a ledger, where people simply agree that X amount of fiat = X amount of bitcoin, and Y amount of all the proofs "belong" to a wallet address.

So it's not possible to "attach" a virus to a bitcoin. Mining is creating new bitcoins by solving the proofs to confirm previous transactions.

It's extremely complicated. I was obsessed - obsessed - with bitcoin for years and read all day as much as I could, and I only have a pretty rudimentary understanding of how exactly they "work."

It would be cool though!!
