Question about royal mail and no sender address

Greetings all, I shall keep this brief - if one ordered a personal amount of weed (10g), but the postie was unable to deliver it due to no one being there for the original and re-delivery attempt, what happens? The 21 holding days that RM holds post for a nearly up, and I am unable to pick up said package due to not being there until a few days after the expiry date.

The parcel has no 'return to sender' address on it, so I'm aware that the post goes to some centre in Belfast, where post is opened to try and identify the sender. This would obviously be a bad thing....

Basically what I'm saying is, has anyone ever had this happen before? I've heard of people purposely choosing not to pick a package up from the PO, so their parcel must of been sent to this Belfast centre too. Am I right in thinking that if your mail gets opened in this centre and they find naughties in it, your door goes in?

Can't you call the post office and ask them to hold it a little longer

Would it look suspicious me phoning up?

Also, would I phone the post-office or the delivery office?

It will be opened to try and ascertain the sender, the weed will be discover, that is the end of th e story

They hold mail for 18 days - http://www.royalmail.com/personal/receiving-mail/redelivery - you should have had a redelivery card put through your door telling you what to do - https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/something-for-you-card-new-landscape.png
