Vendors - *please be careful* using printers!

I know most of you are probably aware of this, but for others who may not know, I want to caution you about printing any sort of documents or letters with your packs. Never use a printer that can be traced to you. The LE has utilized the ability to track documents due to tiny, invisible yellow dots printed into every document you make that create a pattern UNIQUE to your printer. This has been put into place after the anthrax scare and they have been known to catch counterfeiters this way. So please be very careful and/or avoid printing documents in any way that could even remotely be traced.

I am a true supporter of this industry and I hate to see the violent parasites caging people for buying things on a consensual business model.

Does every black laser toner cartridge have a little yellow one hidden inside it to print the yellow dots?

Thanks. I'll address orders by hand (unless every black pen has a unique yellow stripe in it because a guy shot Ronald Reagan).

But yeah, no, I'm sure every printer manufacturer from Korea to China has implemented this just because some body sent hate mail to the worst-ever president of a country on the American continent 15 years ago.

EDIT. Apologies. Upon reading that back, I realise that it may have unintentionally have come across as sarcastic. The EFF say its colour printers. They seem to be assuming that there is some additional hardware chip in every printer.

Personally, I would put extra code into the PCl5, PCl6 and PostScript (pdf) software drivers of each model of printer, which creates the dot pattern based on the hardware (MAC) address entry in the windows registry of the PC (although currency counterfeiters probably use Apple Macs, many DNM users have TAILS, and it may be a spoof entry in the registry).

Why does this fucking site keep trying to force me to spell "colour" incorrectly? Is it using a spell check dictionary based on an African dialect of English or something? Its really annoying.

My 0.002 btc to vendors: ONLY USE INK JET PRINTERS because this privacy vulnerability only affects laser printers. Period.

A lot of printers are wireless now-is there risk of your printed files being saved on your wifi providers servers?

I don't get why this is such a big deal. It just discloses which model printer you have. Thousands of other people may have the same model printer.
