[Complaint/Warning] Another reason why not to order from the Netherlands.

I think we missed this article because it is behind a soft pay wall:

Hunt underway on Drug crew operating on the Darknet

Source in Dutch: http://paste2.org/KhfV5peC

Very short summary:

  1. Postal distribution center and UPS in the area intercepted several packages filled with drugs (probably due to bad stealth).

  2. Police managed to narrow down the area.

  3. Forensic research underway

  4. Already linked to the Darknet. Mentions Agora, SR and BTC

  5. They seem to know who the vendor is and in which area he is located

I am at work so I have no time for a translation. Just wanted to make sure nobody missed this.

So it seems that you're not only at danger of having your package intercepted in your own country, but also on the way out from the Netherlands. If you remember XTCExpress Supertrips; the Dutch authorities actually knew his identity by running his finger prints very early into his career but never arrested him. They did however inform the US authorities who arrested him the second he landed in the US. And not too long ago the US authorities alerted the GER authorities about meth being intercepted. So there is quite some high level communication between the US and Europe which should make a very good case against ordering internationally.

[4 Points] epogenesis:

Your summary is dishonest.

The journalist thinks "they're presumably active in the northern provinces", the police however stated nothing of the sort.

"De politie bevestigt dat er een groot onderzoek gaande is, maar wil verder niets zeggen. „Er loopt namelijk onder andere nog forensisch onderzoek. We wachten op uitslagen’’ Which translates roughly to: The police confirms a large investigation is ongoing, but refuses to give details. "The forensic investigation is underway, we're waiting for the results".

From the repeated use of the word "USP" instead of UPS, and the journalist stating "drug trade on websites such as Silk Road and Agora is increasing", I think this entire article is lousy journalism, and boils down to 1. packages have been intercepted, 2. an investigation is ongoing, but it isn't clear at all at what stage this investigation is.

STOP ORDERING FROM THE NETHERLANDS.

[3 Points] deepdot:

Posting a press release about starting an investigation and closing in on a suspect is rather unusual....

[2 Points] WonkyWarrior:

The majority of my orders have been international and the majority of them NL, Never had a problem 30 odd orders, recieved one the other day amazing stealth to be fair.

It's such a stupid thing to order from other countries. Unless you have to, just don't do it. Out of the 80-100 orders I have done over time on the DNMs, I have only ONCE ordered out of domestic, but I would never do that today, especially seeing all these threads.

oh good, this is good. :(
