MAC address questions.

I recently bought an older lenovo laptop exclusively for darknet related activities. When I recieved it there was a sticker on it with the MAC address and under that sticker was another one with a different MAC address. I'm just wondering the signifigance of this. Do I have to change my MAC address before I browse? But any advice or info on MAC addresses would be helpful.

Mac address is seen locally only. To put it simply the mac address will only be seen by the closest router, then as the traffic hops routers the Mac address seen will be the one of the physical interface of the closest router it just passed by. So the closest it could be seen would be by your home router, then as the traffic is forwarded to your internet provider the Mac address the provider sees is the one from your wan physical interface of the router. Well idk if its that simple to understand but if you have to know you never have to worry about a Mac address ;)

Tails spoofs it, but if you didn't use a credit card to buy the laptop and there's no way to connect your identity with the mac address, I don't see how this can affect you.

Sir, if you run TAILS, you will have the option to spoof your mac address at every boot... ONLY browse the dark web with tails!
