The implications of a strange post office slip on your door, to a person that isn't you, for a package you never delivered... while waiting for your real packages. Advice por favor.

TITLE SHOULD SAY: "for a package you never ordered..."

Background:

Very clean house

TAILS, burner laptop, encryption, tumbling, etc. Pretty comfortable with my OPSEC

High risk Asian country

Multiple darknet orders coming in from overseas (Most letter sized. 1 bulky letter.)

Legal packages coming in from overseas (packages)

Multiple random legal domestic orders coming in (packages)

Scenario:

I came home to a random slip on my door to pick up something at the post office. I'm expecting legal shipments, and nothing from the dnm is a package. All my packages are usually left outside the door, so this is strange. I go to the post office, only to find that the package was for a different person, but the mailman... either made a mistake and put the slip on my door, or someone ordered to the wrong address

Question: Would this flag me? Would this increase the level of scrutiny of mail/packages to my address? Or am I just being paranoid...

This is impossible to answer . Not only do we not know which country you're from, there are probably zero recorded cases with any useful information from that country. Fuck we hardly know what happens in that scenario in the US. All I know is that under some countries law having a clean house won't help you if there's a package with your name on it - that was mentioned in some arrest from the Philippines last year.

Good luck , I sincerely hope you get your product without hassle.

[1 Points] None:

If it is addressed to a different person you should totally just ignore the thing and carry on as usual. Mistakes happen and there is no reason to expect anything unusual.

I would think about anyone who might know what you have been doing or might have decided to use your address. It seems reasonable to assume that this was either a total random mistake or the order was for someone else who expected to be able to collect it there.

Either way i would treat it like a mistake and not try to receive the pack.
