RIP my OG darknet machine/usernames

The time has finally come. My machine that Ive been using since SR2 was still the hot new chick with a short skirt finally took its final bow today. Still not exactly sure how, but when I woke up, my small glass of vodka (which i usually NEVER drink) was knocked over, and I knew that already meant RIP. The damn beast of a machine didn't falter, but the keyboard would press 2/3 keys at a time, or none at all.

I gave the poor machine a viking burial, and moved onto my new piece of metal ass. I got all my software set up, and generated all new keys and the like. Although my machine will rise from the ashes, more secure with less hardware, Im going to have to rebuild my feedback and purchase totals on the markets. I can live without the ~.01 btc i had across all markets, I just hope I can re-gain the trust of my favorite vendors.

RIP BakedPastaParty Hello PastaSalad

Question... How does a broken laptop mean you lost all your pgp And login info? Your tails USB also got wet? I think USB sticks are fairly strong against mositure, I mean you don't want to get them set but it doesn't necessarily mean it's broken. I dropped mine in the tub while I was trying to browse markets while taking an Epsom salt bath ... Just let it dry out for a few days and it worked fine

I've also salvaged corrupted ones from when the machine shuts down improperly

Anyways please remember to make multiple USB backups of your persistence . Keep two usbs at home and another at your safe deposit box or in your gym locker etc

What's the story behind the vodka you never drink OP? Was it the same glass or do you pour a new glass every night to not drink?

For some reason whenever I position a laptop or desktop I always think to myself "is it possible for me to somehow spill my drink on its current position." I spilled a drink once on a desktop but lucked out and only fried the power supply.

hopefully people will learn from your mistake. I had to pay 500 bucks to get a USB fixed because I accidentally smashed it in half- that was enough for me to learn my lesson. should have several back-ups, including one off-site.

You could connect the drive with one of these

http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=usb+to+sata+adapter+cable&tag=hydsma-20&index=electronics&hvadid=35395366980&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=965744144429022186&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019670&hvtargid=kwd-11452073162&ref=pd_sl_7phkw2lg47_b&gclid=Cj0KEQjwjem-BRC_isGJlJ-0h-MBEiQAbCimWMWu2TDJaxMb8bsIaHNDyBZfqNnBS5ZE90rIyxEPHvIaAvVu8P8HAQ

And pull the pgp info off as well as all the nudez you have on your machine... I highly doubt your hard drive got wet (there's usually a static barrier in laptops that act as pretty decent light moisture barriers) if you need help with this I can walk you thru pulling the drive out of the machine and mounting it on your new beast
