Time to cut out the middle man - fuck the market - market yourself

Vendors, if there was ever a time this is it, make your own onion and do your thing. Thinking about the bigger picture justifies this idea to the max.

it would be safer for both parties and of course make it harder for le. lets face it, common sense dictates that one of the easiest way for a market to get attention is from gaining a huge amount of traffic. its already been done by some vendors, who were being smart and professional in case the markets fucked up.

if you dont agree, send me your bitcoins and ill send you some chronic h2o that might make u change your mind :)

why would a vendor even need a .onion? just use PGP and email. The point is a middle escrow and that is what we will lose.

true but i guess the http provides an e commerce feel, along with the added features. plus the seller can to update buyers/prices/products showing a professional and dedicated business minded strategy.

This is fine for well established vendors but markets still provide a useful function in connecting buyer and seller and a feedback system that validates a purchase occurred. In theory, a third party market is less likely to remove feedback than one owned by the vendor - I know in reality feedback is removed.

There'd need to be some mechanism that would serve as the market for most vendors. Maybe what's fucked is how escrow is handled. But let's face it, even a third party escrow system will have temptations to run off with the coin. Perhaps that's were multisig comes into play. Either decentralize the markets or at least remove centralized escrow from the markets. Have a market where he only coin it ever touches is its commission.

Also running a market isn't easy. There is technical expertise required. It'd be tough to vend and run a market for all but the larger organizations and teams. I like the concept but it's not for everybody. I know some vendors can do this and has done it but it's more on the exception list than the norm IMO

I would just be happy if there was a window shopping market separate from the order market. That way people could browse and email, and then log on when they are ready to order. A way to reduce traffic.
