Never attribute to malice that which is easily explained by incompetence.
Alphabay's backend is coded terribly. It's that simple. Other markets have revealed their bugs and payed out the losses when they've been discovered. Alphabay has been trying to deny that any issues exist at all, simply because they don't know how to fix them.
You have the captcha issue where you're forced to login twice. You have reused bitcoin addresses dumping coin into people's accounts (if they were really scamming, they skim those coins before recycling the address). You have pins that don't match up to their database. Etc.
The Alphabay staff is running around playing damage control on these issues that the admins have no ability to prevent. Trappy pops up in threads asking for the details on issues that have been resolved by moderators because he's using 'scam' reports as bug reports. All you people are showing them with your continued purchases is that if they were to scam, they could get away with it.
Do you know how hard it is to create a codebase that is bug free? Alphabay does.
EDIT: The point is- this shit isn't going to change because Alphabay doesn't know how to fix it.
Incompetence becomes malice when my money gets involved.
