Are there any Darknet Markets that deal in payment other than bitcoins?

The establishing and converting of bitcoins is too much of a pain in the ass to me. I'm not convinced it provides that much greater protection from ripoffs or legal investigation than any forms of payment.

So are there any markets that don't require dicking around with cryptocurrency?

Well, the best way to fix ignorance is to ask those who know.

You can pay with years in a cell.. Or learn to use bitcoin.

Dicking around with cryptocurrency is a lot easier than dicking around with other currencies.

I understand that a lot of people have a thing against bitcoin, but it is really out ignorance more than anything.

It's not that hard to learn and makes DN and other transactions easier.

Not anymore. The online black market used to work with cash in the mail or Western Union. Nobody does either anymore since bitcoin is faster, easier, and more secure.

Yes there is. Vanilla debit reload cards. You buy with cash at CVS or any convenience store. You scratch off the PIN number on the back of the card. Photograph the PIN and the store receipt proving that you paid with cash. Post it on https://unsee.cc/ and email the vendor the link (encrypted with the vendor's PGP). The link to the photograph can only be accessed once, then self-destructs. The vendor sells the PIN on the markets for BTC. Of course you need to find a vendor willing to accept them.

On the plus side, you are basically paying in dollars not BTC so there is no price fluctuation. Also, if you and/or the vendor aren't very happy with the DNM (or you think an exit scam may be imminent), then you can use the DNMs own messaging system to do the transaction (with PGP naturally), but there is no recorded transaction, and the DNM gets no commission.

The down side is, there is no escrow, it is a direct deal, so you need be able to trust the vendor.

This is not my idea, I have seen this payment option offered by vendors, and I have used it more than once, so I know it works.
