Can I go to prison if I receive a package from someone which isn't mine?

If someone ships 50grams of heroin just to fuck with me. The package gets seized. The police come. They find nothing obviously. I am interrogated. What is the possibility that this turns into something more serious?

I mean. The package wasn't mine. There were no drugs at my house. Can they put me to jail or punish me just because I received a package with my name to my address if I deny everything?

So your trying to order 50 Gs of dope to your house under a fake name huh? You wanna know if it gets seized will you get in trouble ? Yes you will. They will know you ordered cause you sounds really dumb.

Think about this for just one more second. "That isn't mine," is probably also what a guilty person would say. A guilty person would also deny deny deny so as not to face consequences, so would a person who actually did not order a thing. If both present the same way how does someone distinguish which is which? It all comes down to the gut feeling of the cop on the other end of this. Are they convinced you are guilty even without evidence? Or do they accept defeat when they run out of evidence? It's a coin toss so no one can really answer your question beyond saying maybe.

If you signed for it/or open the package you are liable for said consequences of having heroine on you, so yes it all depends on how dumb you are. Deny, deny, deny, ask for an attorney and keep your fucking mouth shut.

only if you sign for it
