Usps first class also delayed?

I ordered from a reliable vendor on Nucleus last Thursday and still nothing today. Is regular first class standard envelope delayed too?

Listen. Nobody knows. I don't know your vendor. I don't know the date he shipped it. I don't know the date it was picked up and processed. I don't know what's going on in the postal system. I do know that it's the holiday season and delays are perfectly understandable.

You ordered on Thursday, so best case scenario your package was dropped in the mail on Friday. Then it sat for the weekend, and started it's journey on Monday.

Considering that first class < priority....I would assume so. I had a business document/paycheck shipped from the East Coast (legit mail) first class, and it took almost 14 days to arrive.

It would be logical that slower mail is going to be even slower if the 2-day mail is taking longer....right?

If priority mail packs are taking people over a week to land you can bet your ass that first class is also delayed. Sorry bub, but don't feel bad I'm in the same boat as you. Pack shipped last Thursday and still nothing today, lets hope our packs land tomorrow. I really wish the vendor would just give me the TN or at least an update.

I understand. I was just concerned because of all that went down with nucleus. It's superspeedbrosusa by the way. Sucks I was trying to fit into this dress by Christmas and now I'm craving a big pizza.

Everything in the USPS is slow right now. I had a first class package take 6 business days last week and it was only a few states over. If yours shipped Friday, it would totally be reasonable for you to receive it Saturday or Monday.

Everything is delayed. Christmas cards etc clog up letters, plus just dealing with the huge amount of parcels.

If anything, First Class mail would be the first after regular stamped letter mail to experience delays. The domestic tiers for USPS go: Stamped letter mail < First Class Mail < Priority Mail < Express Mail

Express mail and priority mail have relatively strict deadlines that USPS really does rush to meet because that's most of their business. There are some delays but realistically an express delay should never be more than 1-2 days and 2-3 for priority. Any more and it's either an exception of a longer delay or your vendor is just slow and blaming usps.

First Class however doesn't carry guarantees. It is usually delivered in 3-5 days but can be up to 14, and this is usually on USPS. Since there's no tracking with First Class, some less savory vendors use it as an excuse to collect money and claim your pack got lost so they refuse to reship.

But USPS doesn't exactly prioritize getting First Class shipments out by their clock deadlines. Their money comes from priority and express and so that's what they prioritize. During the holiday rush usps workers are usually forced to work 12 hour mandatory shifts and some workers take their frustration at the system out on the mail by either throwing packages clear across the mail room or being as dog ass slow with everything as possible, because as long as they don't fuck up and lose it (which actually gets people fired and worse so USPS isn't out to lose your shit) they get paid the same by the hour whether your package makes it on the truck that night or not. So during holidays and rush mail times USPS tends to experience delays and theyre much more noticeable with first class mail because USPS workers have slightly less accountability with first class.

It should get to you.

My USPS 2 day priority took 6 days...was getting a little sketched out but I got the pack with no problems. USPS is a fucking mess this time of year.
