My story; mystery package seized in the mail

quick background...

Live in Australia been using the darknet markets for about a year to purchase weed only. Stopped using markets for a few months when Agora went down, but made 2 purchases in the last few weeks from another market. The latest vendor I used exclusively deals with weed and have had multiple successful transactions with them in the past.

Yesterday I receive a call from the police along the lines of...

Police: "We are calling about a package that was sent to you in the mail about 6 weeks ago, it contained a white powder wrapped in foil. Do you know anything about it?"

Me: (genuinely surprised cause I dont have anything to do with chemicals personally) "What the fuck are you talking about? I dont know anything about it" insert reasons and potential justification for the package by me

Police: (extremely polite) "No problem, anyone could have gotten your address and sent it to you"

Me: "What happens now?"

Police: "Nothing that is the end of it"

This leads me to conclude a few things...

1) Police have very little evidence if a package in intercepted in the mail, and there is a fairly low chance of it going to court if that is all there is to it. Personal Observation only

2) Local mail does get intercepted in Australia (I dont know how, why or what triggered it in this case)

3) Some vendor has kept my details and sent something (I have to assume in error) to me that I have not ordered. I find this more than a little unnerving.

Just wanted to get the story out there and see what people think...

Did you order from a vendor who also sells powders? If so they could have been busted with a list of customer addresses that aren't tied to specific orders, and the police were fishing for a confession.

This has me thinking... Just as vendors have been known to send fake love letters...

Often you can get a phone number based on an address/name

Just was thinking...
