Although this is not much consolation, he will probably have all charges dropped.

This is why I miss TrueCrypt... The ability to have dummy volumes that open from the dummy password.

Genius

Does this exist or did i just invent it?,....

You have a "kill" password for instances like this. They ask for your password and you give them the kill version, which then auto wipes your hard drive and then flashes a middle finger on the screen.

and this is why no one likes cops

Jesus, I always thought I'd just say I forgot and play dumb, this shit is nuts.

Hes part of a group of cops that were all corrupt and have millions of dollars in lawsuits against them now. One of them beat the shit out of my pregnant friend and planted drugs on her. She did have some but they put 2 bundles. They drove around a drug dealer in their trunk and tried to get him to confess to something and harassed his girlfriend. Look it all up. There's tons of stories online and a lot more that didn't make it.

Relevant xkcd

I think the best part about this is how the cops took his money to order pizza for themselves.

"Fuck you kindly, talk to my lawyer."

Glad he will be fine.

And chances are that they were all in this for the money. Philadelphia is known for widely abusing civil forfeiture. And in this case, it seems like the police were angry that there wasn't more money to seize:

Cascioli kept $800 of cash in his nightstand, which he told the cops about. The officers allegedly "took money from [Cascioli's] nightstand and used it to purchase pizza" for themselves.

Cascioli, who gave an interview last October to the Philadelphia Daily News, said the cops wanted much more cash.

When I read that I knew these fucking pigs probably humiliated this man and put his life in danger, just because they couldn't squeeze more money out of him.

I wish services started instituting a fake password, that if it's typed in, the service knows it was coerced and encrypts all your stuff or just simply deletes it.
