[GeneralQuestions] Hexane Hash Oil?

On the markets I saw a vendor selling HHO, cannabis concentrates extracted using Hexane rather than Butane. Is there a reason Butane is used much more commonly than other solvents, like hexane, distilled alcohol, etc? I'm only curious because the vendor was charging a fair amount more. I wonder if people are buying it for the novelty alone.

Most likely they have used hexane as a dewaxing process. Go check out skunkpharmresearch (dot) com for more info.

I remember reading that hexane had a lot more negative side effects compared to butane, as of right now I'm avoiding HHO at all costs.

Hexane is used commercially in the extraction of rapeseed oil from the meal leftover from cold pressing. It generally removes the flavour and bleached the oil to a certain degree. I don't know how that would affect thc tho....

Hexane is a much better solvent to use because it has no water solubility and easier to use because it remains liquid at STP. That said, hexane has a much more toxic profile than butane including neurotoxic and carcinogenic properties, and the higher boiling point means it's harder to remove from the product. I would avoid ingesting oil made from hexane unless a rotary evaporator or another very low pressure solvent removal system has been used.

Nwconcetrates has been phenomenal with me the short time I've tried him.

I've done my own experiments using alcohol as a solvent and gotten pretty impressive results although nothing I could scale up to make a profit on. USdank is also supposedly exit scamming right now.
