Substantially more risky.
Wish I could give you more concrete proof, but hey, you don't have to believe me, either.

A lot of vendors actually use hotel rooms as a return address believe it or not. Allows them to pickup anonymously. I do not however.

I had one delivered to me over in the UK once, vendor had NDD each time, and was so small it literally was just a letter/envelope so it looked like it could've been anything. Just went downstairs, asked for mail I was expecting, boom, done. Had my dope and smoked as soon as I got back to my room lol. Anything bigger than an envelope, I would be much more worried about. My biggest worry would be the vendor not sending it exactly when they say they will, then it shows up once you've already checked out....then what da fuck ya do?

sounds kind of dangerous to me
Of course. I too travel for work and am sometimes in the same hotel a long time. I've gotten normal mail and amazon packages also. I also have had no problems when traveling for a weekend to send to myself. I'd think the higher end the hotel is, the better this would work. At the CumStain Lodge the desk clerk might just open your stuff.
