Note: USPS Tracking "Delivered" = "Almost Delivered"

Before you call out your vendors for scamming, beat up your mailman, or (god forbid) quit using DNM:

USPS is notorious for marking packages delivered when they are not. Sometimes it automatically marks delivered on the date that it was anticipated to be delivered. Sometimes the people running your building's mailroom are illiterate and can't read mailbox numbers.

In any case, I was about to flip the fuck out because I hadn't received a packaged that was marked delivered, and a few days later it just showed up randomly. Happy days.

Had it happen once and showed up the next day. Another time it was delivered 2 blocks away (not dnm thankfully).

Also sometimes if it's an Express pack and they're not going to be able to deliver it on time they will mark it as delivered to stop the clock on it and deliver it the following day

This has definitely happened a couple times for me as well.

As much as the usps may mess up, they're honestly the only service in the US I'll use.
