The practice of leaving feedback needs to change!

I think its quite disappointing the way the community leaves feedback for vendors. Buyers are scared to leave anything but positive reviews for below average transactions. I am not talking about a horrific experience which causes a negative review I am talking about just average transactions.

I hate when buyers leave positive feedback but in the review they say something like took a week to ship, or some product was crushed, or product was average quality. More buyers need to step up and leave neutral ratings for things like this.

What also needs to change is vendors strong arming buyers into positive feedback. For instance I used a vendor on evo and had 3 prior good experiences then the vendor on the 4th order shipped extremely late, didn't communicate and so I left a neutral rating for the 4th order (because it wasnt a positive experience but also wasnt a negative one). Later that evening I got a message saying I was no longer allowed to buy from him and he would cancel all my orders for leaving a neutral rating instead of positive. On other markets I've also been threatened if I didnt change my review rating of vendors.

I think this is a horrible practice. As a community we need to stop always leaving positive feedback in fear of a vendor exploiting your information or refusing to do business with you. Some vendors have 0 negative 0 neutral and 100's of positive ratings that doesnt match the feedback.

I don't know if anyone else thinks this is a problem but as buyers we need to step up and leave honest ratings and feedback and not fear vendors.

I don't think there is anything more FUCKING ANNOYING than saying "FE for trusted vendor" with a 5/5 rating.

Who gives a shit if you FE'd. Especially on FE-only listings. Like, yeah no shit you fucking FE'd. But why the hell are you giving them a 5/5 rating when you just now FE'd?!?! Don't leave feedback until you have a product! Especially for FE-only listings, the rating is the only leverage a buyer has over the direction of that transaction, and you blow it away when you scribble down some bullshit like that.

Makes me really fucking mad.

Here is a positive feedback I read earlier today lol:

"9 days to USA, product was as potent as expected but the package had broken open in transit and resulted in the loss of almost a gram of product. If he fixes his shipping methods I might order again, but I think I'm going to try a different vendor next time."

I agree, and this isn't the first time someone has pointed them out. There are a few markets that have a feedback system more in line with what you described; I haven't been on these two in quite a while, but I believe BlackBank and TMP had some pretty neat feedback features. I think it was BlackBank that had categories just like you see in vendor reviews here: shipping, stealth, product, etc, and the buyer gives a rating out of 5 for each category. It gives a much clearer picture of where a vendor excels and where the vendor is lacking, rather than a "5/5 all good" typical rating you'll find on Agora and most other DNMs.

[4 Points] Fiber_Bundle:

On TMP you leave separate ratings for quality, stealth, and communication; as well as a yes/no as to whether you would recommend using them. The average score in each of these categories then shows up whenever you hover over an item.

I agree 100%.. the feedback system is so skewed. The only remotely reliable source is personal reviews from a reputable account.

The only issue with expecting there to be room for leaving neutral feedback is that then the number system becomes very subjective.

Also the problem is part of the buyers fault to because nutral ratings are seen as negative but in reality the are just average.

On thing i've also noticed on sites that allow you to edit feedback is anything negative said I've gotten PM's from vendors begging me to change it so they can keep up with business and they have offered free extra product if I change it and order again.

[2 Points] enterathrowaway:

Most market feedback systems are a fucking joke. They give way too much leverage to vendors to strong arm customers into leaving positive feedback for mediocre transactions I always head to the market forums or reddit to get the real story.

FEd will update! ......3 months nothing...

I agree, it seems that the majority of people automatically leave positive-5/5 ratings for vendors simply for the product arriving at some point. I'm just as culpable, it just seems the done thing to do. It's not rare to see people complaining of scams but giving neutral-3-4/5 ratings alongside their feedback.

[1 Points] Vespco:

Bitwasp software rating has taken some steps to make it anonymous to the sellers which buyer is rating them. It's bad that sellers can threaten buyers if they don't give them a good rating.

[1 Points] qemist:

The practice of feedback as it stands is inherently broken on DNMs as much as it is on eBay. There is no reason to leave feedback other than extortion and payback. If the markets want feedback then they should pay for it. As it stands they expect their users to provide a free service.

You kids need to get your heads out of your ass. The fact that you would have the audacity to give a lower then 5/5 rating for something like taking a week to get there is out of control. Youre ordering DRUGS from the INTERNET. This isn't fucking amazon we're talking about boys and girls. If the guy or girl willing to risk his freedom to give you the convenience and safety of sitting at your computer to order drugs takes a few days to send you it, get the fuck over it. I completely agree with how ratings are done, unless the product is really underweight, completely different from what they advertised, or took a month to get to you, have some damn respect and thank the person with a 5/5.
