Strategic return addresses for scaling up sales

I'm a somewhat small-scale vendor thinking of ramping up my business quite a bit. The city I live in is small enough that I think I should stop using it on return addresses.

But I've heard that mail where the return address doesn't match the area it was sent from can potentially be a red flag. Does anyone know just how close you need to be to avoid raising suspicion? How/when is the mail's 'origin' determined? Any knowledge you have to give about doing this strategically would be much appreciated.

For example, could I use return addresses from a city 15 miles away, and mail from my home city? What about 60 miles away? What about 100 miles away?

Why do you think you should stop using your town? Not sure why you think the postal workers would care that mail is coming from your town.

The only thing I keep thinking of is some people will mail a trinket/ souvenir to themselves when there traveling and will use there own return address as the address to greaten there chances of losing that piece of mail.... maybe they don't want to take it on the plane... either way while I don't think this is such a regular occurrence I wonder why people got that idea that it's really that suspicious to do that....

This is going to raise unnecessary red flags. Sure once in awhile is fine but then they might start thinking 'Why is this return address always dropping in our towns blue drops when it's so far away?' The post office could call to check the legitimacy also. Personally I think this is a bad idea. Once in awhile is fine but it looks way more suspicious when people aren't shipping writhin a town or two over from where their original return address is from.

what always works are return addresses (no names) of a customer that already bought a similar amount. if its any address out of state it depends on a nosy postal worker. usually if u print postage using the bitcoin sites no one pay attention to the return address.
