Idea to prevent casualties of uninformed browsing of Darknet

I just wrote a small answer to a man, posting on r/CannabisRoad. And I know this happens from time to time, but this one really got me scared. The dude tried to access an onion page with Chrome, and seemed rather clueless.

So, what do you say to the idea of having a quiz, that is mandatory to be taken (I don't on which stage of the process of accessing Darknet and on whose authority.. ). Something like a medium-hard multiple choice test, to see if a person knows even the most basic concepts of anonymous browsing.. I know I don't know them all, and this is why I am still researching, after 2 weeks even.

Imagine having to decide, from 7-8 possibilites that are pretty similar, what TAILS is, what PGP is or what TOR is. I mean, the dude I described in the beginning, did not know what TOR was or at least that it was mandatory (at least for noobs) - do you really think he would understand what PGP means? And the whole deal with a pair of keys? I really doubt it..

And even if the test could be cheated upon by simply finding the needed information, some education would still take place in the process of finding that information.

peace out!

I know your trying to do a positive thing and make people safe. But forcing people to take a test is not morally right. If he wants to buy drugs in the internet without doing his research, that's his fault. It's unfortunate but it should be common sense.

I've never heard of TAILS until I came here.

OP, are you sure that you want a food chain where the strong and the quick are preyed on? The weak and the slow are here to be prey items so that the rest of us can get away. Ponder that, and your question may turn from a lament into a celebration. Celebrate the stupid. They are here so that we might live another day.

Think of drugs being mailed to your house as a reward for being smart enough to use the darknet, and let people like the man in your story continue to try .onion addresses in Chrome

One thing to consider is to make a separate account to discuss darknet stuff than your other interests. I'm guilty if that but I dint have anything coming in the mail to me, now or in the future. But a brief perusal if your post history indicates your 20, live at home, and there are several people who can probably share a lot more specific info about you...

Just a thought.

As for your idea, people need to be responsible for themselves. If vendors are doing their jobs correctly then nothing the most stupid buyer could do would have any chance of compromising them. Meanwhile, making people fill out a test would' just be false assurance. Just bc someone answers the questions right Doesntvmean they're adhering to the "rules".

Take tumbling for instance. Given a test everyone will say they tumble religiously but a slight glance at these boards shows many people skip that step...
