Okay, this is just stupid... (Blockchain rant)

This whole congested blockchain thing is getting ridiculous. I sent a transaction from one local wallet to another local wallet over 5 hours ago with a 0.001 BTC ($1ish) miner/tx fee attached, and it still hasn't received its first network confirmation yet. I'm starting to get slightly annoyed at this point.

Update: After putting in through the ViaBTC tx accelerator tool, it took another two hours to finally get its first confirmation for a grand total of a bit over 7 hours in wait time to transfer from one local wallet address to another. Ugh...

You only used a 13 cent fee.. :/

I've been using at least a 50 cent miner fee and have been getting 3 confirmations within 45 mins or so. Use the ViaBTC tx accelerator, it's free and works.

I probably will ruin this service by mentioning it here, but ViaBTC(a big pool) has the "viabtc accelerator" or something like that. Give it the txid of your transfer, fill out small captcha and hope less than 100(1000?) people have used it this hour. Then ViaBTC makes sure your transaction is in their next block.

It's only been over the limit one out of three times I used it and I just waited a while and tried again, and it worked. I have to admit I used it a couple times to save a couple bucks on miner fees by sending almost nothing as a mining fee and then use the accelerator.
