Help: Tails Bootable USB Creation - Ubuntu

I am struggling to get tails working.

I succesfully, and easily, installed Tails onto a Sandisc USB drive only to be dissappointed by the Fixed Drive issue. I couldn't boot Tails.

I bought a Kingston 16GB SD card with USB adapter to try but I hit a dead end so I started from the beginning- reformatted card.

I downloaded and verified ISO. Installed Tails Installer for Ubuntu. Now, when i run Tails Installer, it keeps listing "can not open . . ." For pretty much every line, then "Tails Install Failed!"

It tries again automatically, and then gives up. All this in a couple milliseconds.

Has anyone experienced this and do you know how to get by this. Can you make a Tails Drive with an SD card?

I appreciate any and all advice!

P.S. When i get home from work I will post some screenies or details.

EDIT: I've given up until I fix my computer :)

Just to update everyone- i re formatted and installed Ubuntu again. Still not successful getting Tails to work. I feel Ubuntu does the job well enough.
