Safe to pick up?

An order of Rx (US Schedule IV) pills coming from India was undelivered because "authorized recipient was unavailable") (a note was left, USPS).

Is there any risk at all in picking up the package at the post office? I'm inclined to think not, but I'd rather err on the side of caution...

You should go pick up your pack. Its not uncommon to require a signature on international orders.

I'd think if they wanted to do a CD they'd do it at your place with the package in hand, not waiting indefinitely for you to MAYBE show up at the post office in the next few days.

Logic suggests you're safe.

There was a post by mailman like yesterday. I think you can ask him there, he welcomed. And he knows for sure.

Absolutely. Someone just posted this last week, and an update a day ago, in the same situation. The post office was even confused why it was undelivered, but he got his stuff no problem.
