MyUSPS praise

So, I know that there is some debate over MyUSPS, both as it pertains to opsec and just its utility (or lack thereof). When I used to get packs to a PO box it basically never worked. Now that I get them to my home, it works almost every time.

Last week, I was expecting both a DNM pack and a clearnet package. Both showed up on MyUSPS but even though both were marked as "out for delivery," one showed up as delivered (I went and got it) the other, the DNM package, was not here and did not show up as delivered until an hour later (though it still wasn't there). I called the PO and after waiting a bit it turns out the temp postman had delivered it to an incorrect address. He told me this when he came by and brought it to me. I've gotten mail for another address (never packages though, I don't think) a few times, esp. when I first moved in.

I know many of you will probably think I made a horrible violation of opsec or maybe even have a FUD fantasy that the postman wanted my mail for himself. I had these thoughts as well but it came to down my faith in the excellent stealth and my desire for the package.

TL; DR--if it weren't for MyUSPS it would've taken me much longer to realize there was an issue and there's a chance I never would've even gotten the package (and since it was marked as "delivered" the vendor could've easily refused any sort of refund as well).

There is nothing at all wrong with MyUSPS from an opsec perspective unless you are tracking a drop that you have separated from your identity. Otherwise it's passive tracking. You aren't committing any opsec violations by using it

Yes unfortunately when they misdeliver you are far better off calling immediately then waiting.

With the dnm packs, of course eeks.

I've had the experience of them misdelivering clearnet packs, and the 2 I called immediately were in my mailbox first thing the next morning..the one I waited and waited til 3 days after it was marked delivered and didnt show, appeared like magic 3 weeks to the day after it was misdelivered.

Unopened, etc. And of course I had to call, they did not show up until after I slammed them on the follow up survey they sent me.

Also don't forget to tip your mailman! We get tons of clearnet stuff, swear to all thats holy, if your mailman is at all like ours..throw a $20 at him for the holidays..it helps..
