Some [OPSEC] tips for the super paranoid

I thought I will post this while waiting for my package to arrive...

TAILS - I would never go on the darknet without Tails, except for lurking. Windows is a spyware that collects a bunch of information. The newer your Windows the more info it collects. The older, the more vulnerabilities it has. Stay safe and use Tails.

I have bought a very cheap computer (i3 CPU, 2 GB RAM, no HDD (=> no extra noise)) but a good USB drive, that I connect to the second input on my monitor. So basically I just switch between my Main PC and my Dark PC by pressing a button on my monitor. This means I have to have two keyboards but that's fine. I saw suggestions getting a super cheap laptop, that should also work fine. You're saving a bunch of money buying drugs online, you can afford this for the convenience.

As both my computers are on the same network I installed xfreerdp on Tails so I can connect TO my main pc FROM my dark pc. Clipboard and Sound redirection is disabled so this is a fairly secure method of controlling my main PC while I find myself spending more and more time on the darknet. Once you go dark you never go back haha.

PASSWORDs - I use random generated usernames and passwords everywhere, except here lol. That makes hard to link one account to the other. This is N/A for vendors who have to build a reputation. To store passwords I use Clipperz. This is an amazing open source password manager that knows nothing about your data, everything is encrypted with your password. These guys once had a .com domain but they moved to .is, I guess the US state was chasing them to install some backdoor which they dind't comply. Long story short, I highly trust this app, you can download a fully-functional encrypted offline copy of your database and you can also attach files. So I have my private keys, my wallets, my links and all my passwords in Clipperz. If I need to burn my USB drive, I have everything backed up there. If I go to a new location and fire up Tails, that website is all I need to get going. EDIT: Tails also has KeePassX preinstalled, another great password manager if you don't want to store them in the cloud.

EDIT2: As I live in a houseshare I get a bunch of spam addressed to the people who no longer live here and I never knew so I order the drugs in their name. I know all guides say to order in your name but I beleive this situation is an exception as the postman is familiar with the names already and I can always say that I don't know what this is all about!

Thanks for reading this. What is YOUR super paranoid setup?

Stay safe and happy new year!

Do you use the same pattern to generate random usernames? If so, someone could correlate them.

Why do you need to connect from tails to your pc? A forensics analysis of your PC could reveal logs of those connections.

What do you use to hide your IP and transaction traces of your btcs?

Hey, if you want to use only one mouse and keyboard you should check out a KVM switch. Newegg has them for around $40, and I'm sure Amazon has them for even cheaper.

Checking out Clipperz, looks pretty neat, thanks for the tip. How do you generate random password? I can't find anything on how to do it.
