What's up with all you guys paying ridiculous fees when buying bitcoin?

Ever since i started using the DNMs, buying bitcoin was always an easy task. Some people here are paying up to $100 extra to get the amount of bitcoins they need. I rarely pay more then $30 extra and sending bitcoin does not take 24 hours, more like less then a hour. what websites for bitcoins are you guys using that has those terrible fees and transfer times? You're saying fuck bitcoin when there's plenty of better options.

Edit: just gonna clarify, what i'm saying is to stop bitching about terrible fees and transfer times when you keep using the same service.. fucking switch services, electrum isn't the only wallet out there. they're are PLENTY of way way better websites out there.

This thread is a perfect example of someone posting something to try and sound smart, but ends up sounding really dumb.

OP, you are mixing two entirely different issues together. You are confusing the fees an exchange charges you, with the fees that come from sending and receiving BTC. They are two different things.

Most people right now are bitching about the fees associated with sending/receiving btc...and there is nothing anyone can do to change those fees.

Also, what the hell does electrum have to do with anything, lol? Electrum is a wallet - not a marketplace like coinbase. Ugh....

If you're wanting to buy something costing $50 and it ends up being $80 when you include the transaction fees, I don't really blame people for bitching about it. Especially when many vendors refuse to acccept Monero and insist on using BTC.

I think you are confusing two different things that are mangling people. Some people do bitch about the exchange fees and getting their shit mangled from there. This fee is how much BTC you get per fiat dollar. The bitching we see most recently very often is people's assholes getting mangled by the miner fees. This has been bad for days and this is where coins are taking days to confirm. Right now, assholes are being mangled by the miner fees and this is what bitcing you see now. It doesn't matter what service or wallet you use, the miner fees are what they are for all of Bitcoin. The transfer times are related to the miner fees and the fact that an obscene fee is required to get a confirmation within a block or two. Anything less, people are waiting for days to get a single confirmation.

Source: Meth mangled my face. Miner fees mangled my asshole. 5/5 would do again.

im rich! i give a fuck!

[1 Points] felix1429:

What sure are you using? The fees also depend on the amount you're buying so if you're just getting a couple hundred or something you won't have to pay much in fees

ridiculous fees & transfer times =

Mycelium wallet

[1 Points] CynicalElephant:

I figure we pretty much all use localbitcoin right? From market research to coin in my wallet usually takes at most like 2 hours and like 20$ extra.

[1 Points] Rayvonuk:

Yea we know that Anyone can sacrifice OPSEC for minimal fees and a quicker turnaround.

[1 Points] Pr0ffesor:

I have some Bitcoin stuck on my wallet for BTC.com and its about 50$ now (it was about 11 in sept) it costs 90$ in transaction fees to send it somewhere else! It's useless and stuck in that wallet
