PGP for my MAC-please read before downvoting

I am quite familiar with using PGP on my PC and have done so before. However, I purchased a used MAC a few months ago as my computer unexpectedly bit the dust. I am having a hard time using PGP on this MAC. When I open text/edit and try to right click on a key, the services menu does not pop up. I downloaded GPG keychain access. I am currently operating a MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook2,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo I am running on the OS.X operating system version 10.6.8 I have already run a Reddit search in an attempt to research what exactly is going on, but nothing has been helpful in identifying my specific problem. Is there anyone who can be of help? Again, I have utilized the Reddit search feature to try and find related threads, but nothing seems to be helping. Thanks in advance for your time

Wow that macbook is a dinosaur, I'm surprised it runs Snow Leopard. I was going to add something valuable, but questionfortumblr got to it first.

Just to add, if you aren't already using disk utility to make an encrypted portion of your HD, it's a nice way to keep all your darknet links, passwords, and programs out of sight. Let us know if you have any other Mac-specific q's. Some people say that it's less secure, so don't believe that BS.

system preferences -> keyboard -> shortcuts -> then checkmark all OPENPGP items under files and folder, and text. They are both under shortcuts

I just open text editor then highlight everything and right click to encrypt

Macs have been proven to be very unsafe for dnm use. just putting that out there
