Why is it so hard to get btc...

I've ordered from the Darknet a few times, I've used Virwox twice - that's a good pain in the ass. And I've used localbitcoins, with WU, Moneygram still a big pain. I have an account on coinbase but waiting 5 days for btc is insane.... if anyone could give me some tips that would be amazing, the deals are so lucrative on the darknet can't find deals like this anywhere in my area.

Plan ahead. Drop funds into [exchange that holds fiat, not Coinbase] and buildup some capital. Convert only when you are ready to order. Replenish funds as needed.

i am so happy to live in vancouver. there's a bitcoin atm that is entirely anonymous. prices are pretty hefty (because of exchange rate + fees), so I end up paying around 600$ CAD for a bitcoin when the US rate is 530. cost of convenience I suppose. Luckily I only buy 200-300$ at a time, so it doesn't fuck me over too hard

If you're comfortable (and able) to add a credit card on coinbase you can make instant purchases. I believe that once you reach a certain level of verification you can buy up to $1000 USD a week. Not bad.

I'm going to use this thread for my own question if that's okay. I see most people say they use cash deposits when using localbitcoins. What is wrong with a national bank transfer? Is it better to do a cash deposit or is it just people's preference? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Why doesn't someone make a website were you can buy bitcoins with a debit card and receive them immediately I can go on amazon overnight something and get the thing I ordered the next day buying bitcoins should be instant like buying a game on steam or an item from amazon.

Has anyone heard if tyhere is a way to remove COIN.MX's new $250 lifetime limit on credit card deposits?

I loved their service for instant BTC buy but now I see a lifetime $250 limit.

Localbitcoins cash deposit man. Most of the time you'll have the coins in less than half an hour.

How is using moneygram or western union a pain? One of the best options to purchase bitcoins back in the day was bitinstant and that was moneygram and I thought it was quick and easy. Also, there still are some places to purchase bitcoins easily and without ID for a decent price you just have to look.

Anyway, onto your question. There are 2 reasons they are difficult to purchase. The first is because bitcoin transactions are non reversible while credit card transactions are so credit card transactions are risky. Secondly, they are difficult to purchase because of anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) laws which require money transmitting business to keep records their customers.

So glad I've got a friend in the UK who's willing to trade paypal for btc. All I gotta do is hit him up on skype and send him the money and then I've got my coins within the next couple hours. He's saved me soooo many headaches of having to find a reliable lbc seller. And he only takes like a 1% cut over market price.

[1 Points] gerundive:

Follow (and compare) virtual currency exchange charts, such as the one at Coinbase. Buy when its coming out of a trough. (This year there's been a small trough every couple of months.) Store until ready to use in a secure wallet.

You make it sound so very complicated. I live in the UK and it usually takes me 10-15 minutes to get bitcoins over localbitcoins

[1 Points] hdheuud:

Find a local seller on lbc with reasonable prices and meet him at a place with public WiFi. Mine takes 2% above bitstamp price. Not bad at all.~ $10/coin in fees

Localbitcoins with bank deposit is the easiest way.
