[PSA] USPS Priority postage prices have gone UP! If you are using pre-purchased stamps you MUST buy additional stamps or your package will be returned!

USPS Priority postage prices have gone UP! This came into effect some time last week, as it did around the same time last year.

USPS Priority has gone up from $6.45 to $6.65.
USPS Priority Express has gone up from $22.95 to $23.75.

There is usually a grace period for a couple of weeks. Thereafter, your pre-purchased $6.45 and $22.95 stamps will no longer be sufficient to deliver your letter/package. USPS will either: (a) request the recipient to pick up their package at their local post office and pay the 20c/80c difference in postage (which would be rightfully sketchy for most buyers); or (b) return the package to the return address. This will largely depend on the post office local to the destination.

And if you do not pre-purchase stamps then you should be, because buying them online (tied to your credit card) or physically going into the post office each time is a great way to get caught if your package ever gets seized and back-tracked.

EDIT: Apologies if this was already posted. Just looking out for you guys! We made the same announcement last year and it caught a lot of people off guard. Good to see that it was not as much of a surprise this time around.

Stay safe, and party on!

Great info even if this is a double/triple post.. some vendors only see top stories. So good thing, imo I'd request the mods to pin this, so it's on top

Gonna suck so much ass if my MXE vendor overlooked this and my pack gets sent back to a nonexistent return address.

Sometimes the delivery driver will pay the extra themselves and still deliver your parcel, and leave you a letter to put the remaining in, so that your delivery isn't delayed.

Happened to me before.

it was already posted two times here but I guess I does not hurt if some people see it now that are not visiting the sub as regularly. however please use the search function next time before posting.

I thought my stamps went bad!

Thanks for the heads up. It all seems so obvious.
