Thoughts on receiving mail

If a vendor's stealth includes making the delivery fit in with normal mail is it acceptable to ask the vendor to add "or current resident" after the name on the label? The reason I ask is because I ordered a legal item under a previous residents name, and on the label the company did this and the package came through. I sent a package to test without "or current resident" and it was forwarded. I Tried three more times with "or current resident" after the name and it came through. The USPS website has a guideline, and says adding this is acceptable on any first class mail and will negate any forwarding attached to a name. I am interested in hiding my real name not out of fear of package interception, but rather the vendor keeping records and getting caught or worse blackmailing. Do you think vendors (if you are a vendor please let me know here!) will be ok with adding "or current resident" to mail?

tl;dr would vendors be willing to add "or current resident" after the name on mail if they don't do this already?

generally that type of mail does not have a regular stamp on it, but is pre-payed. so that may raise a red flag. its not a bad idea, if you get mail from previous residents, its safe to say their mail is not being forwarded... your carrier will get suspicious if you keep getting letters that say that, and are stamped.

Its a bad idea in my opinion as you definitely run the risk of the item being forwarded or returned to sender. You did some trial runs but that does not mean it wont happen.

LOL I'm afraid of being black-mailed but I'm sending large amounts of drugs to someone who could easily figure out who I am.
