Hello internet drug forum!

I need you to diagnose my fathers medical condition, without a medical history, a list of symptoms, or literally anything to go by. Also I need the treatment to be weed or hash, so I can get my straightedge dad high.

You need to get a proper diagnosis first. Some neurological disorders respond well to CBD heavy strains, while others may not respond to CBD at all.

There are also some disorders that are treatable with THCA, the acid form of THC pre decarbing; so smoking, baking+eating, or vaping would kill the medical benefits due to THCA decarbing into THC.

If it does end up being Parkinsons, make sure you do your due diligence in researching if marijuana is the proper medicine to try. Parkinsons is partially a result of the body failing to produce enough dopamine. Marijuana normally induces dopamine release, but if there is none to release will it cause further issues?

I was a budtender at one of the worlds largest and busiest marijuana dispenasaries. I helped many, many people with these symptoms. Most of the time we avoided flower and edibles And went right to the Mary's Medicinal products. I recommend the transdermal cbd pen for daily use and the Mary's Medicinal CBD:THC 1:1 ratio patch for extremely bad days. DO NOT use the 10:1 cbd marys patch- it doesnt work. Let me know if you have any questions.

Gabapentin is a godsend for restless leg syndrome.

No advice on the thc/cbd. Good luck if he has Parkinson's. It can be rather hard to watch someone you live go through it. From first hand experience, it can be a real bitch, especially if you are talking about lewy body or some subset like it.

Look for THC caps. Avoid the smoking etc. Take an hour before bed. Most caps and oils are indica. Obviously avoid anything Sativa. I wouldn't even mess with highbreds.

Also might try Cannatonic. Balanced THC/CBD. Like 8% of both. Less head high and better for pain management.

Hope he gets well soon.

Google a supplement called Calm. Worked wonders for me.

From Wikipedia:

For those whose RLS disrupts or prevents sleep or regular daily activities, medication may be useful.

Evidence supports the use of dopamine agonists including: pramipexole, ropinirole, rotigotine, and cabergoline. They reduce symptoms, improve sleep quality and quality of life. Levodopa is also effective. One review found pramipexole to be better than ropinirole.

There are, however, issues with the use of dopamine agonists including augmentation. This is a medical condition where the drug itself causes symptoms to increase in severity and/or occur earlier in the day. Dopamine agonists may also cause rebound, when symptoms increase as the drug wears off. In many cases, the longer dopamine agonists are used the higher the risk of augmentation and rebound as well as the severity of the symptoms. Also, a recent study indicated that dopamine agonists used in restless leg syndrome can lead to an increase in compulsive gambling.

  • Gabapentin or pregabalin, a non-dopaminergic treatment for moderate to severe primary RLS
  • Opioids are only indicated in severe cases that do not respond to other measures due to their high rate of side effects.
  • Benzodiazepines, such as diazepam, which not only provide symptom relief but also often assist in staying asleep and reducing awakenings from the movements
  • Anticonvulsants, such as carbamazepine, help people who experience the RLS sensations as painful.

Quinine is not recommended due to its risk of serious hematological side effects.

Anecdotally speaking, my mom has RLS. She has been using pramipexole which has moved mountains.

Why is marijuana your go-to solution to this? Additionally, is he not willing to go to a sleep specialist?

This is really not a good place to ask this question.

Heroin always worked for me. I wonder if opiates can really do anything for that kind of condition?

Kratom is pretty good for RLS
