For those who have been full time vending for several years, does your experience provide you with any valuable real life skills?

I know a few street level dealers who have been dealing as their sole income for over a decade. Their experience doesn't expand anywhere beyond "street smarts". Some of them are good at managing money but most are absolutely terrible.

So how is it for online vendors? If they stop; besides the money, are there any skills they can take away out into the real world? I am not looking to become a vendor, just interested in the general idea and vendors mindset.

If they had any sense, they have a small legit business set up anyway to launder away some money- it also provides a fallback in case they take an opsec break or get paranoid or run scam/whatever.

I mean it teaches marketing and or customer service if they're a kind and cool vendor. Think of it as a farmers market, but with drugs. How do vendors get the most business even though there is plenty of options? They either offer the cleanest product or medium quality for an affordable price and provide good cs. Also they know the darknet so they could flip flop and start workin for the gov'ment.

i dunno about if it had provided any real life skillz but i can tell you i never would have succeeded at vending with out a combination of a bunch of different life experiences combined. 1. Computer skills helped 2. I was always very mechanically inclined and good an fixing and repairing machinery, I had experience in certain trades. 3. Combined with real life Ddealing earlier on i learnt from mistakes and online dealing and offline is very different, but i matured from that experience and learnt alot from it so it prepared my GREATLY for the business. plus some more thing it was like a perfect storm came together and everything worked very well for me. but again i'm talking the opposite of what the op said, vending hasn't given me many skills but my real life skills helpped me succeed at vending where others had failed. good luck to all stay safe.

Most of the street level street dealers don't really have any "street smarts" or money management abilities. It would be a challenge to find someone that has been dealing on a street level for 10 years without a single conviction. Of all of the dealers I knew in highschool, only two have gone untouched by crime, and both were honour students, and have respectable jobs in addition to their dealing business.

Money management, people skills, and ORGANIZATION. Shipping 30 orders a day requires you to be organized and thorough in all of your work. That can definitely be applied IRL.
