Non-drug relate post here. I have a bit of an odd request, but I'm hoping there are some people here who can help.
I have a friend who's really into reptile husbandry/breeding, and has a pretty large collection, primarily snakes. Currently, however, there are a few species he really wants to get his hands on, but can't due to US restrictions. Primarily, he wants a Black-Necked Spitting Cobra (Naja nigricollis), which is illegal in his state.
Knowing the dark net tends to be a pretty good place to buy stuff you can't easily get elsewhere, I told him there may be a dark net source for reptiles, but I haven't been able to find anything so far.
The exotic reptile hobby is a pretty big one, so I feel like there has to be someone offering rare and restricted reptiles online to be shipped into the US. If anyone could help me with finding a source, or direct me to somewhere where I could find this info, I'd really appreciate it.
Note: Not sure if this post violates the anti-sourcing sub rules, but I figure snakes count as a sufficiently "rare product". If this post belongs on a different sub, let me know.
Edit: This is a real request. You can easily and legally ship snakes, even venomous ones, through USPS. Their physiology allows reptiles to survive in a package for a fair amount of time. I know people shitpost a lot here about where to get animals on the DNM, but a reptile vendor would be reasonable. Clearnet sources for reptiles exist, but I'm primarily interested in sources for restricted reptiles.
I can see it now... Pack gets ripped open by sorting machine... Poor mailroom bastards try to repackage a cobra... Lol
