PO Box Assistance

Hello, I thank everyone for any help in advance.

Are there any other options for forms of non-photo I.D. that are acceptable other than a current lease, voter or vehicle registration card, or Home or vehicle insurance policy?

And why would birth certificates or SS cards not be acceptable? Not my case but was thinking about it, what if someone still lived at the current address that they were born at?

Thanks again for any help.

They were fine with me using my passport and drivers license. May depend on your PO though.

Just bring a check, your passport, a drivers license, and an insurance card for your card. Tell that that's all you have, they all have my address. I didn't meet their requirements but they must have figured I didn't look homeless or shady or something so they gave me it.

I'm in the same issue as you. I don't have any form of non photo ID to prove my residence. I might just go on with a social and my mail to see if I can slide by.

Look up USPS Form 1583 or Form 1093. Both list the various forms of ID that are accepted to rent a PO Box or a private box.

Secondary(non-photo) ID's accepted are....Current lease, mortgage or Deed of Trust OR Voter or vehicle registration card OR Home or vehicle insurance policy.

Of course, the secondary ID can also be a photo ID as well.

PS. Birth Certificates document and record births. They do not verify identity nor are they considered a legal document. A Social Security card is proof only that a SS number was assigned to that name..nothing else.
