X-Post: [OPSEC] using a drop VS shipping to yourself..

a lot of debate over using a drop and shipping straight to yourself. Personally, I would NEVER mail anything to myself and heres why:

As a consumer you're putting a LOT of faith into the fact that the vendor you're buying from doesnt get compomised. I've read a few times on this and other subs that a good vendor ritually deletes data containing names/addresses/etc. but is that fact? because I've also read numerous times on these subs that "no one is going to jail for you". So why would a vendor delete information that they could potentially use as leverage to serve less time if ever compromised - I would do the same thing!.

I'm hoping someone can change my view on this because I'd prefer to ship to myself than to someone else.

Edit 1: I'm dissapointed in the reaction to this post. It seems that everyone is perfectly comfortable with providing their name and address to a Vendor (who is likely the target of LE) and think that they won't end up on a list somewhere. One of the subs #1 rules is no one is going to jail for you. That statement alone should be enough for you to realize that a vendor is going to offer up literally anything he can to benefit himself. What incentive does he have to protect any of you? none.

Edit 2: you guys have already dumped your names into who knows how many vendors and now you're downvoting all of this because it makes you feel better/safer. Personally, i'll lose 100 packs before I ever even dream of typing my name and address into an order for drugs.

Edit 3: Not only would a vendor be able to provide the names and addresses, but it's very likely he would be able to provide aliases THAT ARE LINKED TO IRL names and addresses.....

Edit 4: this Sub and others like it are doing a disservice to those looking to gain knowledge in this field by suggesting that people ship illegal drugs directly to their house with their name on it.

I honestly don't think that a vendor can save his ass by giving away a bunch of customers. You obviously have to put trust into a vendor, but having client information can be bad for them as well. If police raided them and found a usb with a bunch of drug deals then they get fucked. I doubt that police are going to stop by hundreds of peoples homes for a little bit of drugs.

Personally I would like to think that a vendor would'nt want to keep a record of the extent of their business dealings. Who's to say LE would even make such a deal?

Regard the legal situation in your country.
Getting stuff in the mail doesnt necessarily make you guilty.

If they find the shit and follow it, theyll find you at the drop. Explain that.

If they get your adress from a vendor, where is the proof that you actually placed that order.

Regard the vendors. If you are ordering from an other country, from a vendor with lots of customers, chances are slimmer that they get to you.

I have no idea what Im talking about :)

I would very much like not to use my real name and address, but the only drop types I know of are:

The first two ultimately add nothing to your anonymity, and the last one is unfeasible for the vast majority of people. If you know of something better, please share. Unless you prefer not to share personal OPSEC, which is understandable.

Drops are better. But the names are not leverage for the police, they're leverage for other things

So let me get this straight, the FBI is gonna contact germany, and then the SEK will come to my door finding 2 hits of acid? I dont think a vendor this big can gain shit by giving up customers lol

People who need to worry about this stuff do so accordingly.

Most people dont have to worry about being on a buyer list. Most people don't have to worry about vendors holding info to get a reduced sentence. Which if you think about it would never happen.

You are exaggerating what it is to be a buyer.
