[BSM] I was just asked to FE before shipping because i'm a new account, but it's a vendor with very positive feedback. Should I?

This would be my second ever purchase on a darknet, and my first with this vendor. It's domestic 14g of weed from a vendor with 30+ 5star reviews. I've heard that you should never FE early, is it normal for popular vendors to demand this?

Ultimately only FE if you're comfortable losing the money if that's what happens. There have been only a few reviews here on him:

My opinion is that vendors who require FE have competitors who are willing to stay in escrow. Unless you have a compelling reason to use that vendor, such as he's the only one that that product who ships to your region, then I would suggest finding a vendor who will stay in escrow.

I personally don't like vendors who demand FE for new customers. There's enough competition out there now that buyers really do have the power to demand better customer service. If you're uncomfortable with what a vendor is asking, you probably already know the answer to your question.

I wouldn't FE without product regardless of the feedback.

There have been isolated cases of vendors getting big, only to cut and run when they have the 'reputation' to convince users to FE a few thousand worth of BTC combined. Simply having good reviews is no indication you're going to get what you paid for, it just may mean that the vendor has the capacity for providing worthwhile goods.

If you can afford to lose your money then take the gamble. I've only ever FE'd for trusted vendors that I have a relationship with.

I wouldn't... considering how easy it is to find non-fe vendors I dont fall for that crap.

I guess it would help if I mention the vendor is OneKing.

If its my money and I've used the vendor 20 times... I might FE. If its an order for a friend then I never FE. Its really up to you and anything can happen.

What you should do is make a post and ask for peer review of the vendor, and the action, which you've mostly done so so far.

You could also ask the vendor to cancel your order, citing the discomfort of releasing escrow early and he may backtrack and say that you don't have to anymore, for fear of losing a sale.
