Package at Post Office

I ordered a pack from overseas with tracking but no signature, I sent it to my a drop address where nobody currently lives however it occasionally receives mail under the previous person living there's name. As nobody lives there to accept the it, I expected them to just leave the package there as it is fairly safe, however they deemed it unsafe and took it to the post office for collection. They didn't leave a post slip, and I don't have access to the ID of the person the packs name is under. What do I do in this situation? I was thinking that I could possibly go in with just the tracking number, say I have no ID and just attempt to get it but if they say no I'm fucked.

Edit: I've decided to invest in a fake ID.

I think you should not order to vacant houses. You should notice the vendor and let them know bc the pack is gone.
