Preface: Mods, if this breaks any rules, comment below and edit out the link, if you'd like. I feel like this may straddle the line between a review and sourcing, but you're the judges.
I'd been doing some simple spreadsheeting to make decisions on what to buy from vendors (GammaGoblin, in this case). I thought I'd share, then thought that maybe we could use a community-curated list of vendor prices for the things we all like to buy.
The sheet is still a bit hare-brained and has a hand-wavy plan forward, but I would love some feedback and assistance with updating prices, available stock from worldwide vendors.
Take a look, make suggestions here or on the doc, and come give a shot at making a high-quality price aggregation.
Benefits:
Allows for a single point of price information for vendors.
Allows buyers to be discerning with pricing/quality/etc, based on objective price information and subjective fields that could be added.
Discourages unfair price gouging.
Drawbacks:
Unvetted vendors can be added, possibly misleading potential buyers.
Could be edited by trolls/shitty vendors to skew the authenticity of the data.
May not show how price differences are legitimate (quality of product, location of vendor, etc).
If you want to edit this, I'd suggest making a new, anonymous google account, depending on your opsec needs. Google Doc
Edit: Added a screen cap of the spreadsheet for those not willing to go to a google doc.
This is very neeto man!
