Any Automod Experts

Community,

Are there any automod experts out there? I'm working on setting up some stuff and hadn't really worked with it before. Its pretty straightforward for the most part and we have a fantastic base that I'm working from. But I have a specific question.

I want to be able to "summon" automod with a phrase. Easy enough. But I don't want Automod to reply to me. I'd prefer Automod to reply to the same post I'm replying to. I'd even settle on always replying to the original post if that's the only option. I can't figure out if there is a way to do it. I'll give an example of what I'm talking about in the comments section of this post.

EDIT: Thanks for the downvote! You showed me tough internet guy!

I am pretty sure it is impossible to reply to the parent comment instead of the original post as of right now due to AM restrictions, instead the closest option being that it reports & removes the submission if a user (or 5) reports it via '!remove for rule X' (or whatever you want the trigger to be).

type: comment
body: "!remove for rule X"
moderators_exempt: true
author:
    is_moderator: false
action: remove
parent_submission:
    action: report
    set_flair: "comment-removedruleX"
---
type: submission
reports: 5
flair_css_class: "comment-removedruleX"
action: remove
moderators_exempt: true

So here is an example. AM Rule 4. You'll see that automod will reply to this post. BUT I'd prefer it to reply to the original post. Is that possible to set up that way?

[2 Points] TanyDan:

Do you know what language the mod is written in?

[2 Points] Lucid_Enemy:

The guy who wrote auto mod has his own sub and I'm sure you could reach out to him since this might actually be a feature he might want to highlight in his sub I mean who wouldn't want to make a mods life easier... Unless there a fed...we hate feds around here...

[2 Points] None:

Automod, attack.

What exactly would that be used for?

If it's just because you don't feel like copypasta'ing some basic response every time, download /r/toolbox and use the Mod-Macros I set up before I left.

I wonder if a hack-ish kludge could be implemented in two stages, by having automod flair (or re-flair) the parent submission with a specific string in response to a trigger comment, and then in response to the new flair, add a new top-level comment (and re-flair it, potentially, although it's unlikely that it could store and re-apply the original flair)...
