Must Read ! Monero XMR % fees calculation VS Tumbling

So i did a test on shapeshift to see how this think works out regarding the fees and i came to the following conclusions:

Deposit 200 Moneros you get 1.036674 BTC

Deposit 1.036674 Btc you get 198.30341189 XMR

1) So i assume this is 1% fees right ?? Why would vendors still use tumbling if you can get a better result with less fees ( 1+1% = 2% total fees )

2) Do you think that you will still receive btcs from the dark net another persons who has exchanged them for XMR ? same as Helix .

Any more info and knowledge on this subject would be much helpful for all of us here ,

Thank you in advance !

I would like to remind everyone:

DO NOT FILL IN THE CLOUDFLARE CAPTCHA it is an existing tor exploit due to the packet size of clicking each checkmark. Under no circumstances should you enable javascript or use cloudflare captcha on any clearnet site oriented around DNMs and crypto.

Thank you, please at all times focus on safety and not greed.

Except in the monero case you're using an exchange that will cooperate with le. It adds extra risk to the whole operation.

This method still allows shapeshift to spy on you.

This way does the same thing:

1) Deposit your bitcoins to localbitcoins.com with an account accessed only through tor

2) Withdraw them to another address

Cost: zero.

A single website can spy on you but that's no different to any other method (except fancy stuff like coinjoin)
