This is a step in an exciting direction! If a market adopts Monero, instead of the current tumbling method we could go:

Circle or Coinbase > Shapeshift or Changelly > Market Wallet

It's be superior to tumbling since the funds are jumping between blockchains and using Monero's built-in obfuscation, and the process is simpler for new users. Less transfers overall than what we tell people to do if they don't tumble, with the added bonus of a very effective tumble.

Inevitably a Tor friendly version of Shapeshift specific to Monero would appear, with lower fees and a server hidden in Onion-land that's outside of easy supoenability (is that a word?) for interested 3 letter agencies.

Then vendors go Market > XMR.to > normal cashout method - this eliminates the need for whatever tumbling they currently use, and again I'm sure XMR.to would be replaced by an onion service eventually.

The stability of Monero could be an issue, but I feel like if everyone on the DNMs starts using it the price is more likely to climb than fall. Lots of SR1 vendors made a fortune from the BTC spike of November 2013, maybe we could even have a repeat of that?

Time to HODL some Monero and hope Sigaint is the first step towards actualizing what I have just described :) Upcoming markets, if you're reading this... can we make it happen? u/oasismarket ?

I saw that and read about it, but it still confuses me. Does it make sense to y'all?

It's a great action to protect DNM customers.
