[CommunityDiscussion] With the sub reaching 40000 followers, what are some of the changes you would make to improve the sub?

I think a revamp of the review system is necessary, it's pretty annoying to see reviews exceeding 100 points. A few weeks ago I've seen a user reviewing HoS, saying the package took 1 month, so shipping is 80/100, the total was 116/100 or some shit like that, because extras, wut?

Another thing I don't like to see on this sub is people that don't know what they're doing. if you can't figure out how to use the search function, sidebar or google, maybe you shouldn't be on the DNMs in the first place.

I know the community can self police itself and downvote these threads but a lot of people, like myself, have a tighter OPSEC that doesn't allow them to be logged in and make a post.

Also Congrats to /r/DarknetMarkets it's been pretty cool to see it grow.

P.S: Lobali I hope you're feeling better, best wishes to you and to the mods who are working on keeping the sub going.

I would love for more people to be helpful. Seems everyone is angry all the time. Even I have given answers like "are you fucking retarded?" I have gotten to the point where I realize that we are a very special group of individuals. Some here for recreation and some for profit. All with one goal, access to drugs.

As far as random suggestions, I still think parts of the sidebar should be condensed. Under "Marketplace List", there would ideally be a table whose columns are "Market URL", "Forum URL", and "Subreddit".

This would eliminate two of the sections under the "Resources (hover)" link and make the forums and subreddits much easier to find. As it is, the information is too scattered IMO.

Thank you! I am getting better every day. I have a bit to go yet but I am improving daily. Best of all -- I am well enough to be back here, which is awesome. I really missed it here and am overwhelmed by how much support I got. Even you mention just now surprised and touched me. Thank you.

We have an amazing mod team who I am proud to work with. I credit the fact we work together and really respect each other and all focus on the subreddit, and not our personal opinions. 40,000 is gigantic. It's a hell of a milestone, and Astrid and those who created it should be very proud.

Many people feel a re-do is in order. We have been working on new review systems. Someone recently sent us a proposal that looks really good. It's not point based, it's more like:

(1) very dissatisfied
(2) below average
(3) meets expectations
(4) above average
(5) extraordinary

in several categories, as well as spaces for GIVE THE PRICE PLEASE

And overall ask for a description of the experience, and (if they must) leave a /5 or /10 review. I've seen product that tested as fake get 95/100.

Also we will be removing any that say they haven't sampled the product yet. That makes me nuts. I have been removing them for a while now.

Please -- f eel free to do the same thing - write a draft and use the "contact the mod" button to send it along so we all see it. We try our best to evolve with market change and subreddit growth, and this is one we are actively aware of could use looking at.

And thanks again for the overall compliments and well-wishes. We really do appreciate hearing from people - good, bad, or indifference (but good is really the best ;)

I wish everyone had DOC flair so I instantly knew which rants to ignore.

I'm looking at you, meth-heads.

A lot of people say they have an issue with reviews, but I think that's a user problem, not a review system problem.

Look at video game reviews. A 5/10 is what average SHOULD be. But really, people think a 7-8/10 is average, a 9/10 is good, and a 10/10 is everything above "good." It's just the way people look at reviews nowadays, and while I think it's fucking stupid, I don't know if there's a way to solve it.

Congrats on 40K, folks!

Review system needs a overhaul! I believe there are so many 100+ reviews is because there are so many noobs around and are just happy to receive Drugs.

Do you think there are really 40,000 followers, or are most of them throwaways?

[2 Points] Waka_Flocka_Gainz:

A moratorium on the shitty sand/Belize/house burning jokes would be nice. They don't really contribute much a majority of the time.

A megathread for reviews might be kinda cool. Not sure how practical it'd be though. It'd probably just be easier to search the vendor and read previous posts.

I think the number one thing is make this sub somehow work with TBB and no scripts.

Whitelisting is not an answer, as we trust no one, especially reddit, which is like an endless barrel of fish for LE to shoot at..

trust no one.

I want vendors to be able to go back to the old advertising rules. Like 2 posts/month or whatever it was. Things get lost in the sunday/Wednesday threads

I think we really need to blow up the "Don't be an idiot" in the sidebar, a LOT of newcomers here really just rush into things and this doesn't seem to be stressed enough.

Stop down voting every fucking post you see.
