DARE
Drugs Are Really Excellent
[22 Points] darktriaddd:
Man I was terrified going into middle school after DARE. Much to my later dismay, dealers don't go around forcing drugs down your throat.
[9 Points] Vendor_BBMC:
Nearly every heroin addict has smoked cannabis in the past, thats why it was a gateway drug.
But heroin addicts are generally quite favorable towards drugs! Of course theyve had a spliff"!
I bet they all tried extra-strong mints too. Is that a gateway drig?

Marijuana No Longer A "Gateway Drug" on DARE website
well, that sucks. what else do they have for gateway drugs? Looking for a new clearnet vendor.
[6 Points] Enragedocelot:
The only way I have ever found it being a "gateway" drug is that now I know where to buy others.
[5 Points] y_s_l_:
Are they finally going to put alcohol as a gateway drug?
[3 Points] naturalvibes:
I want it to be true! But what about this section on that page...?
Tobacco
According to a report from the U.S. Department of Education, “Tobacco use is associated with alcohol and illicit drug use and is generally the first drug used by young people who enter a sequence of drug use that can include tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and harder drugs.”
Kind of implies MJ leads to "harder drugs"
.
Edit: Added clarification that I believe D.A.R.E. should remove all gateway references to MJ.

It's about fucking time. Now it just has to move out of schedule 1

Do you think this is the starting point in which Dare might actually teach children something correct about drugs?
No.
[2 Points] thebobbysimon:
I was never taught the DARE curriculum, but my opinion is that weed is a gateway drug like Temple Run is a gateway to being a gamer.
Some do. Some don't.
[2 Points] Chardlz:
Weed is totally a gateway drug in the sense that you associate with people who are of a criminal nature and who do drugs. It's by association that you then try other drugs and whatnot. If it were legal and commonplace then it wouldn't be. It's only a gateway drug by making you "get in with the 'wrong' crowd" not by getting you high.
[1 Points] pluralofmongeeses:
I can't get their site to load. How funny is it that once you posted this link, someone likely decided to DDOS DARE.
[1 Points] Canna-Juice:
Did not know about this!
Finally my t-shirt, someone's parents bumperstickers and on a more general level the program itself, is now a little bit less of a liar.
Freaking out for positive reasons is the best. (positively freaking out about positives......dig it?)
[1 Points] None:
Ketamine prescribed by a doctor did it to me, not weed lol
[0 Points] opsecninja:
the only reason it could ever be considered a gateway drug is because it's sold on the black market. When you force things underground shady ppl like to take advantage of dumb ppl. "Oh I got your weed but I also got some other stuff you'll like so just give it a try". If there were legal stores for bud then young naive kids might never be exposed to those shady dealers. Then kids can just go fishing outside the pot store like most of us used to at the liquor store.
I'm not even gonna lie. If I hadn't started smoking weed, I would have never gotten into the E-crowd. If I had never taken E, I would have never gone to a rave. If I had never gone to a rave, I would have never taken LSD. If I had never taken LSD, I would have never tried Shrooms. If I had never tried shrooms, I would have never gotten my hands on DMT. If I had never taken DMT, I would have never talked to God.
Weed is the gateway to God.
