Looks like Variety Jones is going to NYC to turn himself in.

After a fucking -l o n g- and painful jerk off session by POM/VJ, looks like he's finally actually saying something after 10,000 words of saying nothing. Looks like he's getting close to turning himself in to the FBI. He kind of said this earlier without saying it.

Oh hey, I'm having a grand old time, and could live like this, well, forever. Unfortunately, there are other people involved; innocent people who could get hurt or worse if somebody doesn't stop it. I can't in good conscience stand by and see that happen, and the only way I can see to stop it is to walk up to the front doors and speak truth to power. Unfortunately, they'll slap me in irons for my efforts. :frown:

I am, however, the master of my own destiny. I'm only at this point because of decisions I've made, and I'll have to live with the consequences of those decisions. Eventually, we all do.

Just glad I've got a little forum here to share my plans with some friends, before I make the leap.

:puffpass: The last fucking thing you want is my undivided attention...

I'm surprised no one else is watching this unfold. This is kindof a big deal.

Wow, how have I just heard about this now? Did he start posting on the POM account after the scum Motherboard article came out or has he always continuously posted using that account?

Does anyone have a "TL;DR" for the latest Variety Jones news? I am really interested in this story but I am so out of the loop I wouldn't even know where to start looking.

Everyone blaming LaMoutache or Motherboard or any other researchers should realize, that the one to blame for all this, is Ross for saving his chatlogs, or - if the logs were tampered (which I believe) - the 3-letter-guys.

Plural of Mongoose has been doxxed long ago by himself in the icmag story, so it wasn't Motherboard, LaMoustache, AGD or any other of the researchers, who brought up the name Thomas Clark in connection with PoM/VJ, but it was himself.

You could argue that Mark Karpeles was the number 2 at Silk Road, in terms of importance.. DPR needed somebody outside the US to look after Silk Road's offshore money laundering "lungs". Bitcoin was headed for dungeons and dragons currency obscurity like every cryptocurrency before and after. It only got a foothold because Ross chose bitcoin as the go-between for cash and drugs.

Magic the Gathering cards are kinda like drugs in a way. geeks could trade them for dollars, or for the magical currency used by some online games. The "Magic the Gathering Online Exchange" in Japan actually gave this "buy more energy bars in the other realm"toy currency a dollar price. "Magic the Gathering" obsessives would sell bitcoin to each other offline via the MTGOX shop run by a fat comic book store guy.

"Worst. Episode. Ever. You can be sure that I am registering my displeasure on internet forums as we speak, Bart Simpson. Now toodle-oo"

Prior to Silk Road and its adoption of existing ideas like TOR, bitcoin and escrow, soft drugs were traded online between members of cannabis forums, and variety Jones had experience in grabbing these websites, then hardening the servers so they couldn't be grabbed back.by the original owners or the cops.

Like another male lobali, if you like. Psychopaths don't do acts of selflessness like handing themselves in, Psychiatrists will tell you that Psychopaths are slightly more likely to murder than the other 97% of the population, and much more likely to tell lies. But for a psychopath to even attempt suicide is unheard of.

How would that be good for them?

If this IS pluralofmongoose, and pluralofmongoose was vJ, maybe he's down on his luck and reminding everybody that he was something to do with Silk road, but if he told you about it he would need to kill you.

It really shocks marketplace admins like Verto that they can't just open another marketplace and everybody will somehow know that they have lots of experience in running them safely. "Chief developer at Evolution Marketplace" isn't something you can have on your CV, so people talk to you like you're a nobody.

you guys are real saps to fall for this charade. Clearly this person is brewing up a "variety jones" persona so that they will ultimately use this concocted back story to slowly and seemingly naturally "reveal" details about their role in SR1 in a desperate attempt to make Ross's role look more innocent. Either it be a troll, or close family or supporters of Ross, this attempt will not work to change the U.S. government's guilty verdict. They will not just say, "oh this guy on the internet claims to have been the mastermind and have set Ross up, seems we gotta let him go free". By reading into all this nonsense is just feeding the troll, but if your actually falling for any of this nonsense then your just fucking inept. Seriously, because some random guy on the internet says this "PoM" character is VJ is not enough to believe it. First you kind of need proof that VJ is intact a real person… which you clearly don't have… so quit saying "PoM == VJ" until you can prove that "VJ" is a real physical human being and not some internet persona created as a diversion during SR1s time….
