Tor settings is Tails

I've got Tails 1.8. The default settings on the Tor within Tails seems way wrong. I assume we are suppose change the settings? It's just a bit strange that we have to do this every time.

It seems the security slider needs to be moved all the way to the top, and the setting for allowing global scripts needs to be unchecked...what else needs to be done? What's the consensus on Javascript? It seems Tor's attitude is not to have it disabled as that makes you stand out. So the ideology is either don't stand out rather blend in and go noticed at the cost of being vulnerable or have better security without vulnerability yet be noticed. If you guys are disabling JS, are you doing it through the about:config method (Is that what it's called? - I don't remember). Please let me know every security setting that need to be changed. I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I am sorry but I think your question will get answered better in /DarknetNoobs/ or whatever the training sub is for this one.

Disabling JavaScript doesn't help that much against exploits. An exploit in the HTML parser could have the same effect. A better defense is using Tails or Whonix, so any malware that does get planted won't have too much effect. Plus, it's unlikely that they'll pop you with a 0day unless you're a super high value target. Those things are expensive.
