Getting scammed is the worst feeling ever :(

I took a risk. I FE'd a newish vendor (on Agora) and got scammed out of $450 My order never arrived and the vendor will not reply to my messages anymore despite being online. Now I'm feeling terrible and depressed.

Apparently the vendor had been faking feedback. I guess it's back to living in poverty for the next few months. I fear posting the vendor name due to potential repercussions.

Any positive messages help.

TELL US THE VENDOR NAME.

[10 Points] None:

Post the vendor's name. You'll be fine.

Change the amount and then tell us his name. He won't know which particular person he scammed.

message Agora admins and they will seize his vendor fee and possibly pay you back at least a little.

include as much detail as you can in the message, including that it is a large part of all the money you have

you will likely get a lot of hindsight advice, but the big one is that you really shouldn't place so much money that means so much to you with a single new vendor. Place test orders where you burn $30-40.

You shouldn't FE for new vendors. Vendors with an established rep that you can FE to will care about their reputation long-term so won't want things to go wrong.

The other thing is that there is no point in not naming the vendor. I'm not sure who first came up with that rule or whatever, but it is exactly what allows vendors to get away with selective scamming. Name and shame bro - name and shame.

Dude I agree. Never FE for big orders! Vendor name?

[3 Points] Starbuzz_:

Please post the vendors name so this won't happen to other people.. like someone below me said, change the amount and post his name. People should know about this.

Please post the vendor's name and also don't risk money that puts you a position of possible poverty if lost. I don't say that to be a dick, but it's something to think about. Sorry this happened. :(

Sorry to hear :( almost all of us have been there. Its easy to have many successful transactions and become to trusting. I'm guilty of FEing when is shouldn't ( and it's not required just to help out vendors, especially with all the recent markets scaming or shutting down abruptly. I get to avoid listing that require FE, but will often release the funds a day or so after marked shipped, or release one one product if ordering multiple things from a vendor. But NEVER if I'm ASKED to (unless clearly stated in listing)

If; 1) you can see he's been online but not responded for days and multiple messages or 2) it was supposed to be tracked and he won't help you locate package 3) multiple other current reviews stating non arrivals

Then post his name to save the rest of us. Otherwise I'd say your right to not say who the vendor was.

Mail does get lost, delayed or stolen, I'm sure there's a few portal employees, with a keen eye for packaging details, who've helped them selfs.

I feel bad for the new vendors who have inexperienced (not saying you!) buyers reporting them as scammers when their package doesn't arrive the next week. I've had things show up, long after I was sure I'd been scammed.

Also, as I'm sure you know, well deffinetly know now, it's never good to spend money you can't afford to lose.

How long has it been?

[1 Points] thebac0n:

[1 Points] risk-er:

I know your feels, just got scammed $300 from GoldTops on SR2 :(

[1 Points] None:

You think some pussy who had to steal 400 bucks from an anonymous online account has the balls to come after you? Expose that mother fucker =)

[1 Points] bunnsguy:

Especially when SR2 mods don't do ANNNNNNNYthing to the tens of reports of his doings. McTavish scammed me for $185 but he's still up there selling away.

Never again SR2,3,4......

[0 Points] nuphilx:

Bet you won't do that again. You have my sympathies, but the ratings systems are there for a reason.

[0 Points] Sanitarium-Market:

dude that is crap. You market should have been prtecting that feedback and ensuring that it is genuine. It also should have protected you from FE. Sorry

[0 Points] n0tash1ll:

How about you don't FE and you don't spend money on drugs that will put you in poverty? This was all your own fault for being foolish, and people like you are the reason scammers exist- you're easy.
