New Vendor Scam!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello DNM users,

I'm so glad I found DNMs. Been using for a while now. I recently have been scammed and want to try and keep it from happening to you guys. I don't know if this method of scamming is new but it is my first time running across it.

I bout an oz from a newer vendor on Agora. When I submitted the order he sent me a message saying that I had left off my name in the address details (he was setting me up) so I sent my name even though I didn't understand how it could be left off because I copy and paste from a template. 3 or 4 days go by and no package and I figure he didn't ship it when he said. I went out of town and when I got back still no package.

I messaged and asked for tracking and he gives me tracking to a random address that isn't mine. I tell him that isn't my address and he says he copied and pasted what I sent. A completely different city and zip. The order is currently in dispute.

The moral of the story is that if a vendor says something about address being messed up or something like that. Just cancel the order. Its a setup. Also, don't try to buy things over $150 if you don't have alot of buys on the site.

When I explained it couldn't be my fault and that I use a template. He says Agora will have to determine the outcome and Good Luck. He actually told me good luck. Why would you say good luck to somebody trying to scam you? It can't be that easy for vendors to scam somebody on a DNM. What is the point of disputing if its that easy? Escrow is supposed to protect people. He said good luck. C'mon man.

Be careful out there folks!

I thought I read a post just like this a few days ago so I was gonna post it here for you to read, but saw you wrote that one too haha. That sucks. I saw he had some cheap ounces of bud and was considering purchasing one. Oh well. Thanks for the heads up. Hope it works out for you.

That scam has been going on for years. I believe it started on ebay. They usually send the empty box to another house in the same zip code, though, so it looks right in the tracking.
