Best DNM drug for anger management?

Working through some problems with an explosive temper disorder. I have quit booze and every drug but weed trying to fix this, am also seeing a therapist and am on cymbalta. I need something that acts fast and kicks your shit into a mellow frame of mind. I'm hoping it also won't leave me a drooling zombie, I need to be able to walk and talk and stuff, but the way things are going I am really afraid I am going to hurt someone or get beat the fuck up myself because I can't control these fits of anger. Benzos? beta blockers? I use etiz right now but just to sleep, it doesn't seem to do anything when I'm starting to hulk out unless I take enough to drop me asleep in my tracks. I don't know anything about these kinds of drugs, help me out please, kind of desperate to find something to help.

Probably not what you want to hear, but you need good food, exercise and rest. Maybe some meditation too if that helps. Drugs are not going to fix your anger issues in any significant ways and they might just exacerbate the problem.

Peace dog. This is a problem you deal with without drugs.

[5 Points] haul-o-cost:

The last thing you need is some random drug a stranger recommended to you on a forum known for suggesting bad ideas (seriously, someone just recommended you do heroin to fix your problems. THINK HOW FUCKING STUPID THAT IS)

Stop doing drugs and let the antidepressants do their job.

edit: Seriously. What you need to do is listen to your fucking therapist. Get off of darknetmarkets and go ask for help in a place that might give you an actual good idea, rather than these absolutely toxic recommendations of LSD, shrooms, xanax, and whatever other "miracle drug" these idiots believe will cure all your problems.

As a fellow anger-sufferer myself, I can tell you a couple things that I learned the hard way:

1.)Benzos are bad news. Stay the fuck away, seriously. You'll end up in prison. 2.)Booze doesn't help, but don't ever commit yourself to kicking the booze for good, as that just makes you more pissed off. 3.)Exercise, diet, and meditation. 4.)Exercise, diet, and meditation. 5.)Steps 3 and 4 are not easy. The sooner you accept that, the better. If you don't, you're going to end up either isolated and depressed or staring at a wall in a cell and wish you could still do steps 3 and 4 to save yourself. Either way, it's probably too late.

I'd say LSD, but you'd almost be guaranteed a bad trip with the mindset you're in. A bad trip however might be exactly what you need, as long as you can keep your shit together. Benzos would probably be alright, though fleeting.

I think you should try edibles, and stick with weed.

[2 Points] DropJourneyman:

Liquid xanax hits you pretty quick. You need to get to know yourself and how to dose it, though. For me .5 mg is about right to be mellow and still be able to function "normally". If I take more than that I will end up with receipts in my car for shit I drove through and ate and don't remember doing it. You can't take it everyday for long, either. Have to lay off it for a while every now and again. I have heard and seen that the withdrawls suck. Etiz does the same thing to me. Makes me sleep like a baby, but not useful for much else. Edit: Spelling

Chiming in here... yeah weed in moderation good for relaxing and getting into a pleasant space. I use it for PTSD, I'm wondering if your anger may be PTSD related, if so, there's good therapy and support for that. As far as the benzos go, they are only good for short-term. Benzos are very much habit forming, and the tolerance increases rather quickly. I have a buddy, he takes lorazepam a few days a week and has not had to increase his dose over the past few years, that might be one to check out. I recommend your work with a psychiatrist to get a legit Rx.

I had a bad PTSD flareup just a few months ago, we're talking 10/10 the shitty GP wouldn't rx benzos, instead she gave me an rx for hydroxyzine which is a really strong antihistimine, has side effects of strong drowsiness. 1 pill knocked me out, 1/2 a pill took the edge off and I wasn't drowsy. It's not habit forming, might be worth a try. When I get really angry, I like to slam the fuck out of the door(s) relatively harmless.

Meth! But seriously, have you tried anger management classes? I don't think any drug is going to solve your problem, it sounds like something that therapy would be more help with.

Weed.

Hey guy. Good on you for trying to improve yourself. (First, before discussing illegal drugs, which I will do) If you're going to go prescription meds (beta blockers, benzos) I would encourage you to go through your therapist to get an actual scrip... and if they won't give it to you, go to another therapist. There are just a lot of advantages to going through the correct channels when you have a diagnosed problem.

Quitting booze is hard. GOOD ON YOU. I know first hand how hard that is.

Someone suggested LSD. I would go another direction and suggest a low dose of psilocybin, which is sold by TripWithScience on Nucleus (and a variety of other places, just happen to like the vendor, not trying to shill). Psilocybin has been shown to alleviate mood disorders in studies by accredited medical institutions, for sometimes upwards of a year.

Also, have you tried MDMA? It's not a permanent solution or something usable frequently, but it's been used to treat PTSD and other similar mental disorders.

Also I don't wanna tell you what to do with your life, but I would also advise that you talk to your therapist about any meds you add to your schedule. Otherwise your side effects could confuse them into believing your therapy is or isn't working and they may prescribe you things with confounding effects or dangerous interactions.

Also, you said you're still doing weed. Have you tried concentrates? They tend to be much faster acting and you can still do shit on them.

Weed and/or benzos. Just don't go too hard on the benzos if you decide to go that route

[1 Points] throwawayk5zq47j6wd3:

Cannabis is PERFECT for containing anger, benzos but be careful I have plenty of horror stories from Xanax, shrooms or lsd to possibly get ego death or possibly help your mind but be careful of having a bad trip because of your anger, or kratom.

But your best bet is to continue to see your therapist or doctor and have them help you out, I have depression and I had dependence of cannabis for awhile and it helped but in the end it ended horribly. Don't put too much of a dependence of drugs, it's not healthy and don't use them as a crutch only a tool. Good luck OP!

Well, for fast-acting anger management drug off of DNMs, it seems like it would be hard to beat ketamine. Onset in like 5 minutes if railed, and if you take a 1/4 to 1/3 k-hole dose (so like, 35-50mg on a 150 lb frame), it would be pretty much impossible to get riled up about something, it's literally a tranquilzer. And you'll be back to baseline in about an hour.

As others have said, benzos will also work, but those take like 30 minutes to kick in and then you're either wonky or unconscious for hours, but that might be just what you need if you are too pissed off to sleep.

Although what it really sounds like you need to be on is an anti-psychotic like Risperidone. I have known people who have taken this and it can work pretty well. The way it was described is that it won't necessarily reduce your anger, but it will give you a "longer fuse" before you reach the powder keg, which sounds like exactly what you need. Plus you can remain functional on it.

Also, if your anger issues are caused by uncontrolled emotions, you might want to consider Paxil. Paxil is an evil, nasty drug, but it WILL pretty much turn you into an emotional zombie. Which sucks, but is better than jail. Pretty hard to get angry, when you don't care about anything at all.

But of course, any drug will only be a crutch. I would recommend a real course of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (not "talk" therapy or psycho-therapy) for behavioral modification and to "change the tapes in your head" before it's too late.

Also seconded the above recos for good nutrition, exercise, and rest. Let the drugs provide a temporary "therapeutic window" into which you can insert some better habits, and eventually get off all the drugs. Especially the antidepressants, which are almost worse than anything we do here (except for opiates).

Weed and benzos but not at the same time.

[1 Points] Shroomgawd:

i know this dosent really help but i would just stick with weed, you can also try a psychedelic trip.. Some trips make people relize where happiness is and teaching you things. You should try shrooms

Meth and buy a gun you'll sleep like a baby.

[1 Points] noonehear:

A-PVP... Just kidding. Look into some benzos like Valium or xanax. Be careful its a slippery slope. Also learn to take deep breaths, count to ten while thinking about the situation before acting.

[1 Points] OpiLuvr:

I would try and stay away from benzo's as much as possible, especially as you've previously had an alcohol problem. My bf is currently trying to do a home detox, which he's doing amazing with, but I'm worried that he's going to swap his addictions.

As others have mentioned, ssri's fuck with psychedelics, so unless you want to come off them, which I wouldn't recommend, that's not a route to take either.

Maybe trying a different antidepressant. Im in the UK, but have US internet friends who swear by Wellbutrin (bupriopan (sp?), which is supposed to be different from typical antidepressants, which might be better as you sound situational depressed, rather than chronically depressed.

As for beta blockers, the only ones I know of are Propanolol and Atenolol, but only the propanolol is used for things like anxiety. It might be worth a try.

As for opiates, they really can help. I've been a heroin addict (and methadone) for 15 years after my daughter died. I can honestly say it saved my life, but it brought with it lots of other stresses, so you don't have time to feel depressed and your thoughts are constantly about gear, rather than other things. Its a very big monkey. Do you want it on your back?

Maybe the Kratom suggestion might be better. It hits the same receptors as opiates, does have addiction potential though, but is much weaker.

Is alcohol the only thing you have been addicted to? The only thing I can suggest regarding the cannabinoid you had. Maybe buy a gram here of all the ones you can find (on clearnet and darknet), see if you can find it. But again, be careful and only use it when needed. I read recently about a girl who really got in heavy with cannabinoids and the resulting withdrawal sounded like absolute hell, and bare in mind I've done heroin and methadone rattles.

Good Luck though, real respect for you wanting to do something about it. My ex had bad anger problems (and mother issues) and took it out on me. He wouldn't go to classes or do anything about it (I'm surprised he wasn't forced by probation/courts)

The last thing I can think of is Ethnobotanicals, I'm not well versed in them, but I go on drugs forum a bit and a lot of people benefit from a great range of things.

Anyways take care. If I think of anything else I will let you know.
