I'm a vendor with higher MDA prices than MDMA ($80/g vs $48/g). The reason is 100% due to the what OP mentions: Fredflinstone's retirement. He had the bombest MDA on the planet for only $1600/100g at the very end of his career, now if you want the bomb stuff in bulk the prices aren't even close. And there's a HUGE disparity in quality of MDA, much more so than MDMA.

harder to synthesize, not as high of demand, and no market saturation..

MDMA is a longer acronym than MDA so it is definitely superior!

Many chemists, especially in the US make MDA first and use it as their precursor to MDMA. I have become close with a few of my sources over the years and one was a chemist who made the stuff himself, a former Hive member. He is not active right now, but he has been on the markets. His MDA was the same price as his MDMA.

good question
I always wondered the same thing. Back in the late 90s MDA, or "sass" was usually cheaper than mdma on the streets.by about 20 dollars a gram. I think it sells for more on the markets because you can squeeze more doses out of a gram. Also the fact that mdma seems to be the main variation produced en masse in the Netherlands probably explains why mda fetches a higher price, less in circulation. Right now on the markets mda seems to sell for more than I used to pay for semi-bulk amounts on the street back in the day. Still, any price ive seen is worth it to turn the table on all those pieces of shit that have been selling bath salts as "molly" for the past 8yrs or so.
