wtf

I have quite a few (3) packs, all from different vendors, in transit and have been expecting one of those for ~10 days. One of which I forgot the postal code.

Today I check my PO box, as I forgot to check last night, and lo and behold the pack that I had forgotten the code for had arrived. what gives?

the post office are idiots and if you havent noticed it yet its just cause you dont send/recieve a lot of mail. lol.

so, did the vendor ship it with the postal code? there's a tool on the usps website to figure it out....its not too hard. and the post office is very inconsistent in its ability to deliver mail with fucked up addresses. There's also the dead letter office...where sometimes your fucked up address package will take 6 months to get delivered to you succesfully..LOL.

PO Box

That means you pick it up at a PO, obviously. In my small town, there is only one post office (and area code I guess). If you didn't know, the last four of a zip for a PO box is just the PO box number, so if you send to zip XXXXX-YYYY, YYYY would be the same PO number as the prior line. It is redundant, yes.

If I had to guess I would say your city only has one or two PO's, or more importantly that your Box # is unique to the town. In this scenario they know to send it to your city, but ZIP could be irrelevant depending on where you are. The box number is really all they would need. Even if there were more than one of your box # at different POs where you live, they could theoretically check the name on those boxes and find you listed on only one of them.

I am not really surprised it made it, but really, be more careful. I triple quadruple quintuple check my address every time.
