Do some VPN not hide IPv6?

I just searched "where am I" and "what is my IP" after connecting to VPN to make sure it was working, but it knew my location. The IP address was Not in 123.3.4.566 format but IPv6 which looked something like 2ee3342:30924zxcxc: etc.,..

EDIT: Did a bit more research. IPv6 leaks are actually a big problem on VPNS. Check this to see if yours is leaking https://ip6.nl

just disable ipv6 in whichever operating system you are using. if i remember correctly doesn't the ipv6 ip leak bug only affect pptp vpn connections? not openvpn? (i may be wrong). also if you are concerned about ip leakage be sure to disable webrtc in firefox, chrome etc. also maybe use different dns servers in linux and or on vpn routers.. this is a good list of dns servers other than default 8.8.8.8 (google)

Cryptostorm widget will automatically disable iPv6 for you (that is if you're subscribed to their service).
