People buying market accounts

Do people really pay for accounts on markets that are either invite only or no longer accepting registrations? Like I've seen people try to sell accounts (like when alphabay and hansa went down there seemed to be some Valhalla accounts being sold for ridiculous prices) for ridiculous prices in the past; are these jokes/scams or do people actually pay money that type of money for an account? Also like why would anybody pay that kind of money for a market account (especially when it isn't even a vendor account)? Like would it be profitable for an individual to get five or so accounts on a new market every time one opens ups and have them ready to sell in the future? Also is there any thing else that's virtually worthless that can easily be sold for way too much money in the near future?

Please note that Valhalla (former Silkitie) is not listed because of very serious issues. You should avoid it at all costs.

Yea I sold 3 hansa accounts for $30 each ($90 total) when Alphabay went down and Hansa stopped registration. I regret I didn't have more accounts.

An account with history can be valuable if you're looking to make a larger order.
