Alternatives to bitcoin.

So is there any other form of currency that is used on Evo and etc. Because I really can't afford the Exchange rate that AUD>Bitcoin is atm, its just ridiculous. Is there a cheaper way?

You dont have to buy a whole bitcoin, you can buy 0.5 or even less.

But considering the prices in AUS you need atleast 1-2 BTC to get high /s

The alternative is putting your shoes on and going out.

Try localbitcoins. Bitcoins aren't discrete units like real coins. They're more like water - completely subdivideable. You can have 3/4 litre, 0.7888856 litres - its all the same to a computer.

All those altcoins are easy to mine, so teenagers do it in their bedroom. "what are you doing in there?" "Don't come in mum! I'm mining dogecoin. Just leave my food out there on a tray. I'll get it in a minute" Then they swagger onto bitcoin forums and say things like "of course, cloakcoin doesn't have this problem" in a deep voice. But nobody want to pay 43 cents for 10,000 cloakcoins.

There were many bitcoin-type cryptocurrencies before bitcoin. The only reason it didn't stay a dingeons and dragons currency was because some bright spark starting a website called "the Silk Road" decided to accept it.

Everyone who starts a thread with the word "so" always follows it with two sentences that demonstrate that they're not equipped for the darknet. has anyone else noticed that?

Why does it matter? You're buying based on fiat not bitcoins. It doesn't matter what the rate is, what you care about are the fluctuations in between the time you buy the coins and when you make the purchase.

How many bitcoins do you need? As of right now it's really at a low point. I'm no expert, but in theory it should start to grow sooner or later.

I dont mean to scare anyone but bitcoin is not very safe to use. Its also slow as a **** http://b1bl3.com/researchers-trace-bitcoin-users-ip-addresses-by-looking-at-transactions/

There are however new "cryptos" in the works, that will prevent this ip-tracing.
