Urgent question about opening a PO Box with fake ID (invalid info)

One of my friends recently acquired a fake ID but instead of using a valid address and name, they just made up a random street number/name. I know USPS requires a photo ID when you open a box, but do they actually verify the physical address on the ID in any way? Really hoping someone knows 100% for sure because I want to warn him not to open a box if there's even a slight chance they verify the address through their computer system. Thanks in advance.

Know what's worse than getting drugs mailed to your house?

Mailing drugs to a PO Box that was opened with a fake ID.

I'm 100% sure that they don't verify stuff like that. Your friend is going to have a long and successful career.

Find a random person. Go walk around and ask RANDOM people if they want to make some cash. Take them to the private mailbox store of the your choice. Make sure they have two forms of ID. Give them the money to buy the box, and wait outside. Collect both keys when they walk out and pay them the pre agreed upon fee

Yes you need to verify your address.

Lmao. They verified my (real) address immediately. It was funny because they thought it didn't exist for a few minutes but they were just dumb. I would say you're pretty screwed :/
