One of the thing that turns me off about these markets is giving an address. In major metro areas, I bet there's a way this could be overcome by buyer and seller creating dead drops for product. The seller puts the product in a dead drop location and then alerts the buyer who can come retrieve it and then release funds from escrow. This way, buyer and seller do not know each other's identities. The postal service is not used, getting rid of that trail. It would be no more prone to scammers than before. The only major difference is that the buyer would be more out in the open and lose deniability if a package is seized. Also, the seller can change up dead drops as much as they like, instead of relying on going to a post office and potentially leaving a trackable pattern. The only downside is that it requires someone to be local to the buyer.
What are some of your ideas to improve these markets?
Not at all a good idea and a big flaw in security and anonymity of buyers and Vendors.
