Vendor FestiGear here; How can I improve my customers finalizing their order in time?

Hey guys.

With this problem I come to you, the people.

There is an absurd amount of people who don't finalize after a week + of receiving there product. Most simply just don't log in for LONG periods of time to be able to finalize the order. This is obviously bad for our operation, and can cause a loss of lots of $$ due to volatility and government seizures.

We really don't want to enforce a FE policy, but more than a handful of users are taking advantage.

Let's head some of you solutions for this problem we are having.

Thanks!!

Good vibes.

-FG

EDIT: Do you guys this I am reputable enough to be able to offer an FE only option. Atleast on the 7g+ orders? Would you as a customer be turned away? (posted below as well to comment under)

You can always offer a bonus for those who FE - like a heavier bag or a discount off shipping. Not everyone will opt for it, but those who do will help increase the amount of funds you get in a timely manner.

You could also offer some kind of future bonus, like a discount off their next order, for those who finalize promptly after receiving the package, but that seems harder to enforce.

tried you for my first time, will try again second time by FE.

2 options: 1. Sell only small amounts to new customers and make it clear that if the order is not finalized in a timely manner, that address will be permanently banned from ordering your products. No second chances; fuck up and be banned for good. 2. Similar to above but instead of permaban, allow them 1 (ONE) chance to remain a customer but require FE. If they fuck that up, go ahead and swing the ban hammer.

I think that new customers would be wary of trying you out, even if you have 1000 transactions with no negative reviews. I had to FE when I bought off HOS for the first time and I still freaked out about it. I almost didn't make the purchase because I didn't want to lose my money (and this was for an $80 order, nothing big)

I don't know how plausible it is, but maybe include a little not in the packaging that just says, "Please remember to Finalize the order." Obviously if that endangers your stealth too much than it isn't a good idea. If the customer sees that and still doesn't finalize, then you shouldn't vend to them again. I've waited a while to finalize an order before but that was only because I got really excited about getting drugs that I just forgot to finalize.

If your gear and prices are good enough just make it clear if the orders dont get finalized in x amount of days (a fair # that works for both of you) they will no longer be welcome to order. I've seen some good vendors do that. If they want to order they will listen and if they don't listen you don't need them as they will keep doing it.

[1 Points] GrandWizardsLair:

The Grand Wizard has run into this problem. Our solution is to offer a discount price to customers who are willing to FE. Those who want escrow pay a bit extra for the added inconvenience and risk on our end; those who trust us and release their coins promptly are rewarded; everybody wins.

(In a somewhat related subject, we also offer discounts to multisig customers on Evo. To date we've made several multisig sales, but it still remains less popular than FE or regular escrow).

Put in parcel piece of paper saying "when you read this, please login and finalize your order" or something like that.

Try to get in contact with the people that don't finalize on time. Talk to them. Warn them. Ban them from future purchases if they do again. Also, maybe an announcement about that policy on your profile?

[1 Points] agorathrow80:

Probably the same population that complains when they order sat night and its hasnt areives monday morning. I know this isnt contributing much, I think the longest I waited was 2 days because I was out of town, and I let the vendor know if it came I wouldnt be able to finalize until xx date

Its idiots that ruin the markets and deals they want because they cant follow thru on their end.

[1 Points] s0urpatch:

Markets should automatically finalize once it's been sitting in escrow for 3-4 weeks and no one has said anything.

i know it may be a pain, but a friendly reminder note may help. just a suggestion.
