Lost Over $200 in BTC On Dream

i've used dream for several years now on and off, and i'm no dnet newb (been around since sr1) and a couple days ago when btc confirmations were taking forever (i'm not sure if they still are or not) i set the fees in electrum as high as it could go just to get the confirmations done as quickly as possible and the btc transferred so i could order. so, there were finally enough confirms. completed that i could login and place my order. so, i logged into dream and the btc was showing in my account, however since the confirmations took so long i was like $2 short for shipping, so i began to transfer it thru electrum with fees set high just like before. i then waited forever for it to transfer, and finally there were enough confirmations that everything should've been good. by this time it was like 7am because the fucking confirmations took so long and i happened to dose off for a couple hours. so, i log in at like 9am and guess what? my dream account balance = $0.00 so what in the fuck happened?! anyone have any suggestions on what to do? yes, i know most of you will say dont use dream, etc etc, but i've never had a problem with them before. this shit just blew my mind. any help would be much appreciated. sidenote: yes this is a throwaway reddit account, which is why it is brand new, but i've been around here for many years.

It doesnt matter if youve been on the markets since day dot or yesterday, if you dont enabled 2FA then youre a n00b

You've been phished by the sounds of it, do you have 2FA enabled? Although if there are still dirty mods, it won't make a difference. Once lost a couple quid from my account about half an hour after the deposit confirmed, meaning it wasn't taken during the transfer and must have been a staff member of sorts

[2 Points] _PrinterPam_:

Sounds like you were phished (newbs aren't the only ones who are subject to this). Since your post is lacking in any real details to help people figure out what happened, here's some generic advice from my SecSat post:

- Bookmark/save all official market links & never, ever follow links posted on the web
- Enable & *test* 2FA on your account *before* sending funds
- Use 2FA
- Encrypt your order/personal info locally (on your own machine)
- Make secure backups of critical info (wallet seed, PGP keypair, passwords, etc.)

Phished.

Yes they can phish you and make you think the link you used is perfectly legit.

I've even seen phishers cancel orders and take the refunded coin.

PGP login from now on playa.

You've been Dreamed by the sound of it. Your first mistake was using Dream.
