Sending exact amounts of btc

setting up a DD with a well known vendor. he asked to send an exact amount of coin, no more and no less. I don't think i've ever been EXACT on my payment amounts in the past, how can I ensure that the exact amount of btc is being transfered? Does the mining fee take away from the transfered amount or is that added onto the transfer amount?

I really doubt he's gonna trip if it's 50 cents over

The mining fee is subtracted from the remaining funds in your wallet. So if you choose to send 100 mBTC to someone and you own 150 mBTC for example. Than that person will receive 100 mBTC and the mining fee will be subtracted from the remaining 50 mBTC.

if you are using Electrum wallet on Tails, it is added on top of whatever you are sending, so you do not need to account for it, just send what you need to!

Mining fee is added to total. Send 5 bucks extra even though he said not to. If he really refunds you because you gave a little extra he's an asshole

If you are tumbling I believe pay shield does have an option to send a certain amount to a wallet. I've not used it but the tumbler has two options - tumble coins and I think something like send an amount to someone. I'd expect that you'd put in what the vendor expects and pay shield will tell you how much to deposit so it accounts for the fees. Again I've not used it but if you are tumbling might be worth looking at

to be on the safe side with btc fluxiation buy 5 dollars more than the asking price and all fees/site fees will be covered.
