Long story short:
Ordered from UK, between 40g and 200g of M. It has been just about the time that the "no longer than" shipping times on the vendors page state.
I use a friend of a friend of an anonymous source in the ghetto as a drop - they are paid well, and always come through.
This time (all others were EU - this is first UK) - this new person in a new part of town, gets a note in the mailbox by USPS - "sorry we missed you"... It states that the item is at the post office and he can pick it up, it gives options for them to redeliver, to 'leave it at my residence'... - so it has the tracking # on there, and the person's name and address, it is marked 'Parcel'. THEN - without talking to his friend of a friend --> me (I know), dude actually goes to pick it up from the post office. There was no date left in the 'Available for pickup after" area on the pink card at this time.
He waits in line for like 30 minutes, he presumably says something like "yo i got dis in my mailbox" - then they look in the back, come up and tell him that the PO worker who was on his route is not back yet, and they write down that he can pick it up any time after X:00 tomorrow.
It is important to note that on this slip, it has an area where you can choose to authorize redelivery: OR to authorize someone else to sign for you.
2nd option is to "Leave item at my address. This states that it is not available if someone must be home at time of delivery. (Couldn't someone check that box and have it sit on a porch for 3 days just watching it? You know the Postal Inspector isn't that patient..) It states that this option is not available ifthe package was required signature.
I surprisingly am half on the fence with this one, guys. They NEVER asked for his ID when he went in to ask for the pack, and gave them the slip. I have had similar things happen to me with clear mail; just a little different. And it just seems a little nonchalant to give you so many options, and also to not ask for ID; to authorize someone else to get it for you? You could ask a homeless dude who doesn't know who you are.....
This is a very expensive and very very important landing - so I do not want to write it off compoletely - and on the other hand, he literally has a clean house and absolutely zero knowledge of what would or could be in the pack. He is a CD's worst nightmare. At the same time, I still would like to know!
Thank you for your unbiased input :)
EDIT: The dude was flirting with the post office skank inside the storefor 45 minutes while I am 15miles away listening - leaving me about to belize it up.. ..
All is well :) SO much fire variety :)
Who cares, send that lil spendoff to get yo shit
