Picking up at post office before a pack goes out for arrival

Is this "safe"?

The office is right down the street from me and id rather stop in to get it before it goes out than wait 8+ hours because I'm impatient, but I'm ignorant to the risk this could potentially pose.

Any advice?

Edit: All tracking on the pack looks normal as well.

Edit: Still waiting on mail, this is why I asked. Thanks for the replies.

My local one never let's you do that(unless u have a slip from atempted delivery or something. You have to let it be delivered. They won't let me just go get it bc I see the tracking said it arrived there

That's weird and you stand out. Have patience and blend in with the rest of society.

I'd say if anything it would make your pack/mail look more suspicious.

It also wouldn't protect you from a CD and if anything it'd make you more likely to get raided with a warrant. If you go in there knowing the pack is there then you're admitting you were aware of the package and the contents.

I do the majority of my texts this week it actually seems a little safer in my mind it eliminates a controlled delivery, as long as you act normal and it's actually a good way to build a pretty good relationship with your postal workers if you know how to talk to people which could actually lower suspicion of your mail

I used to do it quite a bit but they started bitching about it. You might have better luck changing the pack to hold at local PO if you already have the tracking for it. I hated waiting because they wouldn't deliver it to my mailbox until 4:30 - 5:15 at times.
