Why is DPR idolized if he tried to get people killed for money?

I'm a huge fan of dark net markets but I'm not sure why there is a circlejerk around DPR in this sub. I mean the dude tried to hire people to kill others. That's just cowardly and not to mention disgusting and cruel.

Whether he did or didn't hire somebody to kill another, DPR is still the founder of darknet markets. I mean George Washington owned over 200 slaves but he was the founder of the USA and he's on the one dollar bill.

Shhhh not now...we're busy mashing F5

[15 Points] Str8b8m8ey:

"Tried to hire people to kill others". Like the Federal Government does on a grand scale? Get off that dick, that is disgusting.

[12 Points] suchthrowaway999666:

you don't know he did. that's nothing more than an accusation that has not been proven.

Because this subreddit is full of weird people who worship vendors and market owners

He paid the ultimate cost to be the boss and we shouldn't forget that

Sometimes people have to die. You can't hold it against the guy

Sure he did just ask the fuckin FBI the only side thats been told.

Support your local Red and White. Better than cartels.

[6 Points] theevoinsider:

cos he was much more honourable than any other admin (bar BMR)

[6 Points] None:

Wasn't the guy threatening to dox a bunch of people? Sounds pretty "cowardly and not to mention disgusting and cruel".

[4 Points] logic1414:

Why is the USA idolized as the land of The Free? And protector of Democracy? Big questions, no answers.

[2 Points] None:

its business, we love this guy cause he brought us what we needed in this world

[2 Points] Thoughtsofamaniac:

I mean, I get that apparently you're morally sensitive and all that, but why should I give a micron of a fuck?

[2 Points] brightBlinker:

His publicist is...amazing.

Expensive, but good at what she does let me tell you.

[2 Points] Enigmaticcore:

With the extreme bias and BS going on with his entire trials, as well as the lack of official charges (one pending... for now), I'd give pause before jumping on the bandwagon against DPR. If the government actually had anything on him there, they wouldn't hesitate in using it. The shock value involved in the charges tends to overwhelm the logic behind them.

Also, if he is guilty, are things truly so clear cut? I'd say if someone was endangering the livelihood, and likely lives, of thousands on the site (as that's basically what was going on), then the issue at least deserves more consideration than a knee jerk reaction. Especially in his position, it would have been a tough call. If anything, I think he would have pressed against his internal reactions for a greater good.

[2 Points] randomvendor01:

Allegedly tried to hire hitmen. Allegedly. Besides, sometimes people gotta get whacked, duh.

[2 Points] Lethalgeek:

A lot of broken people in this thread

[1 Points] None:

Why you trying to bash on someone on a topic that you can't even wrap your head around. Hey dumbass show me the facts of these killings, instead of believing everything you hear. He was a King in the DM, You weren't in his shoes lmao he probably had people trying to kill him as well.

[1 Points] RennHuhn:

Not guilty until proven. Gov lies all day every day, thus nobody knows if he really tried to hire a hitman.

What's wrong with murder for hire? We have a system in place to punish those who commit murder, and it works pretty damn well (at least in 1st world countries). "Murder for hire", is nothing more than tapping some keys on a keyboard. Nothing more than a pattern of a electrons passing over an ethernet cable...

I don't understand why people want him to go free, he setup an illegal drug market and sold drugs. He knew what he was getting into.
