A while back, when SR1 was still around, I bought some BC off Coinbase. They transferred the BC to my SR wallet, and then a couple days later transferred the exact amount again. I let it sit for a month or so, waiting for them to notice the mistake, but nothing ever came of it, so I eventually spent it and had a fun weekend courtesy of CB- bank error in your favor, collect nirvana.
A few months later, I start getting notices about a negative balance. Keep in mind, I never requested two transactions or intentionally tried to defraud them in any way. I know in normal banking law, this doesn't matter and you are required to pay it back, but I also know there is a statute of limitations (maybe 2 weeks?). Now we also have the fact that it's BC, not a recognized currency by the US.. what can they possibly go after- they provided a 'service' that I didn't ask or pay for?
Anyway, I bring this up because a couple months ago they started sending "taking legal action" emails and just curious of what you guys think they might have to stand on here. TIA for any advice.
Transfer it to a different wallet, delete this post, praise the gods of bitcoin then never mention it on the internet again.
