Before darknet markets, people bought their drugs from vendors via email and chat. Those methods are still viable (and have their merits), but darknet markets definitely improved on that. But with all the stuff going on with darknet markets right now, we are starting to see an increase in purchases being made through email/chat. It is my opinion that more people will start seeking more decentralized options for their market. Whether that be through email or a full-fledged decentralized market like ShadowMarket or OpenBazaar.
I think ShadowMarket and OpenBazaar show a lot of promise, but I fear that these markets could gain mainstream use before they get properly tested. So I am thinking that utilizing existing technology instead of creating from scratch is the best way to go. There already exists tons of decentralized/distributed solutions like freenet, gnunet, bittorrent, syndie, just to name a few. While non of those listed were created specifically for what we want to do, they could still be utilized. Also, some of those do not provide anonymity on their own and would have to be used in conjunction with tor or i2p.
So what are your thoughts?
User friendly, esthetically pleasing de-centralised market =over night BTC millionaire I obviously havent figured it out yet
