So, yesterday, I looked up several tutorials/videos on how to do PGP encryption using Kleopatra. I learned some about it, but it seems I still can't send a message to someone the right way.
I already imported the certificate, and the public key of the person I want to message, and I sent him a message, but he says he never got one.
It was my understanding that in order to send a message, I need to type it in a notepad file, then copy it and then select 'Clipboard', and 'Encrypt'. Then 'add recipient' and then click 'next', at which point it says 'encryption succeeded'
Before yesterday I was a complete beginner at using Kleopatra. Can someone help me with this please so I can successfully send this message?
I'd recommend GPA (should have been a 'tickable' option when you installed your app). It's easier to work with for simple tasks and has a plain text notepad with which to work. You just type your message, 'tick' your recipient, and click 'Encrypt.'
For Kleopatra, it sounds like you did it right...the last step, which you didn't include, would be to 'paste' the now encrypted message to something (order notes, etc.).
