Yeah but if you use both, then you're ass is double protected

I'll post the same comment I posted in that thread:

I just tested using a bridge in Tails 1.1 from the greeter and it worked without problem.

I also tested persisting the /etc/tor directory with a user modified torrc. I put a Bridge line in torrc, set UseBridges to 1 and that worked as well.

Bridge aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:443 fingerprint

UseBridges 1

So, while guard node rotation is a problem, there are viable workarounds for Tails.

Look in into whonix guys. It's a debian based OS where all traffic is force routed through tor.

[1 Points] throwaway--kindof:

Its not that simple. The thing with tails is its' amnesiac. It doesn't leave any traces after your done. The browser bundle does leave traces. So there is a trade off. The bundle may be more effective in using the tor network according to this advisory. BUT, if you computer is seized Tails is going to just be on a CD... with no proof you've even used it. The bundle will leave traces of use. Not only setup information, bookmarks, etc... but, Possibly a fair bit of other data. Its amazing what you can find on a computer if your knowledgeable of computer forensics.

Its up to everyone know get informed of the trade offs, and make an educated choice.

Why not both?
