Package is marked as delivered but my P.O. Box is empty?

I have an order on the way. It's an Express Priority 1-2 day order. The vendor provided me with the tracking number via secure messaging. The post office claims it has been delivered but my P.O. box is empty. Now the post office is closed (including the lobby where my p.o box is) so I won't be able to check until Monday morning.

My theory is that the express envelope was too large for my small sized p.o.box. So normally, they would put a key in my box leading to a larger box. But since today is Saturday and they are closed, is it possible they are simply waiting until Monday to deliver to my p.o box and yet they marked it as delivered for some reason? Or am I the victim of a theft or controlled delivery? I'm going out of my fucking mind right now so if anyone has anything, anything at all, to contribute, please help. Because I am at the end of my fucking rope right now. Please offer any advice.

I believe you answered your own question and that you must wait until Monday.

Don't try to over analyze the situation.

Don't think so. All signs point to the USPS just being stupid or lazy.

The cops are toying with you, go jack off to some preteen camwhores and come back to it later when they got their sting setup.
