Tried ordering from OK234, is this a red flag?

I encrypted my shipping details and put that on privnote, which the seller requests. Then get back to me within a day asking for the info without "GPG". I asked them why no pgp? to which they replied "yes". I want to believe this vendor is legit since they have what I need and have good reviews, but this is weird to me. They have their key on their profile, what's the point if they don't use it? Do you think the account is compromised? Are they just locked out of their PGP? Needless to say I cancelled the order and got my money back, but I really would like to order.

Don’t use a vendor who doesn’t use PGP and AM will tell you about privnote

NEVER use privnote or similar services that claim to offer self-destructing messages.

Absolutely nothing prevents such services from storing your message even after it was 'officially' destroyed. On top of that they also require Javascript, which is a huge no-go.

Just encrypt your messages with PGP like every other market user and send them using the internal market messaging system. Also avoid vendors that use privnote or similar services.

Best case scenario is the vendor got locked out of there encryption program , worst case is LE has taken over the vendors acct but didnt get there pgp/gpg password or seed , either way its a serious red flag and i would move on to a different vendor my opinion

He didn’t use PGP...? Yeah, if your buyer OPSEC is better than his, definitely move on.

PGP helps prove a person is a person, in a way. Unless they have shitty OPSEC and get their private key stolen.
