Question about a friends sketchy purchase

So the other day I found out my friend ordered a revolver on the dark Web. We live in Canada, where it's pretty easy to get a pistol legally, so I'm not sure why he decided to try this. My question is... What is the likelihood of him even getting it? I'm convinced that it will be seized at the border and he's getting Ripped off, but he assures me otherwise. Also I'm pretty sure he had terrible opsec through the entire process. Is my buddy boned?

In general, purchasing weapons on DNMs is not advisable. Most likely, the vendor was really law enforcement and your friend will need to clean house and plead the fifth.

Since when the fck is it easy to get a hand gun- especially a pistol ,legally in Canada????? I think I've seen one handgun in my life and I've been involved in this world for over 15 years. Canada is soft as fuck.

0%. I have a better chance at fucking Olivia Wilde tonight. And I'm pretty sure that is not happening.

Is my buddy boned?

More than likely just scammed. Worst case boned.

wait.....so he ordered a gun off DNM..... and he ordered it internationally??????????

I'm sure some of you think this got old a decade ago but... BURN MOVE TO HOUSE BELIZE!!!

Only way to get a handgun you can actually carry around is if it's an "antique" I actually own an 1871 s&w .44 mag revolver. I can legally carry it around anywhere I want (not loaded of course) like any other antique. I don't really have a reason to carry it around (anymore at least lol) but I will occasionally go to the range and pick some targets with it.
