Are we going to stop using Bitcoin or is Monero just a temporary fad?

Just like the post says I hope it doesn't sound too retarded it's still early and iv just woke up from sleep and woke up to the idea of monero

Keep in mind that Monero's privacy benefits are somewhat difficult to actually attain, as it absolutely requires you to be running your own Monero software on your own computer. That makes running it e.g. within Tails quite difficult. Despite the dangers, most Monero users are using third party services like ShapeShift and MyMonero which provide essentially zero privacy advantage over normal Bitcoin.

I speculate that adapting Monero by Alphabay will pump this cryptocurrency just like Silkroad pumped Bitcoin. If you have some Coins better stock up with Monero NOW.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Monero is still in the development stages. They don't even have any offline wallets besides the two on github that you have to run your self in visual. Its a work in progress. Most people are just going to invest $100< and let it sit hoping it sky rockets.

From the whitepaper: monero looks very promising, provides more security and anonymity than Bitcoin. I see adoption from security and anonymity standpoint, not just fad as any sheeple sees it.

Give it time. I don't see monero getting even close to bitcoin any time soon, there isn't a reason for me right now to buy monero. But maybe in 6, 8 years the blockchain analysis algorithms might get so advanced we will be pushed to rely on something more powerful.
