[GeneralQuestions] Multi-sig wallet and ordering via bit-message

Just thinking to myself....and self says, exit scams happen all the time.....

I used TMP and actually liked it...but it died from lack of use. I see Bit-message, and started thinking...what if people would use multi-sig and bit-message to create orders. Just thinking out loud....

Then you would have a secure decentralized escrowed "market" without all the complexity of openbazaar. The only thing missing however is a reputation/feedback/listing system which would end up being a centralized service, in that sense OB would have the advantage.

TMP (TheMarketplace not TorMarketPlace) was my introduction to multi-sig and they made it easy and straight forward for anyone to use. After the SR1 fiasco, it seemed like the natural evolution for DNMs. It's irritating that the general buying public's unwillingness to add a few extra steps to the process has resulted in numerous other markets being seized or robbed. None of those millions would have been lost if we had demanded multi-sig from our markets.

As far as Bit Message, that seemed like a promising way to deal with trusted vendors directly. I remember a few vendors, including BV, were dealing over Bit Message for a while but I'm not sure why it never caught on. If it's still a secure and viable technology, I'd love to see it incorporated into TAILS. Seems like a natural fit.

I've played with the test environments of OpenBazaar and it seems like it could be a successor to our current centralized system. However, just like multi-sig and PGP have shown us: just because a technology is theoretically superior, doesn't mean buyers and sellers will take the time to adopt it.

I'm starting to think that if it can't be accomplished in the Tor Browser Bundle for Windows, then most people aren't going to mess with it. Maybe the answer is a l337 specialized market for the tech savvy.

How exactly would you get in contact with a vendor over bit message?
