I don't want to get into all the details, but I find myself in a very bad situtation with a blackmailer. Because he's involved my workplace, I think the police might get involved whether I want them to or not.
Can I be charged with obstruction of justice or something, if I don't come completely clean with what I know? I mean the email he sent me has lots of details about multiple purchases I've made, and I'd rather not share that with LE or my employer. If I delete the email and play dumb, could I get in trouble for destroying evedince?
EDIT: Everyone needs details apparently. The asshole is doing a crude DDOS attack against my work, constant phone hang ups, fax spam, and our website is down. He says if I don't pay him by friday, he's going to tell my employer that it was all because of me and that I could have prevented it. He says next week will be 10 times worse and I probably won't make it past tuesday.
If you don't want to get into details you likely did something retarded. The first step in avoiding drama and bs is to not do stupid shit.
Moving on.
What exactly is he going to say? "Hey, I know you don't know me but I am a totally honest drug dealer and I feel like someone who uses my product shouldn't work for you, please look into these screenshots I took of a notepad file, totally proving that this guy super does drugs like foreal. I have no incentive to do this and just like totally wanted to give you guys the heads up"
Destroy all shit you don't want someone to find, don't respond to him, and if anyone asks you have no idea what they are talking about .(period)
