Shrooms helped me immensely. They have been studying using them to treat PTSD at the VA even. Supposedly some of the alkaloids promote new brain cell growth (Neurogenesis). Mushrooms also help with depression. If I trip once a month, it seems to help keep me motivated even weeks after the trip and is more effective than antidepressants IME.

The hypervigilance is a motherfucker. When I tried shrooms I found I wasn't constantly turning my head to do a check down of my environment and I felt a lot more relaxed in public settings. This alone helped eliminate most of my anxiety issues (most relief ever because benzos cause cognitive decline if taken long term so I avoid taking them)

Forget the VA, go to a private general doctor, say you want a general checkup on the phone, pay out of pocket and tell the doctor you need xanax or kolonopin. Tell them you used to be prescribed years ago with a different doctor and it really helped. Doctors still can't look up your medical records online if you go to a new doctor.

It's up to you whether or not to tell them you're a combat vet, feel out the situation and just wing it. If you don't tell him about being in a war, make up a story about a recent death in the family. I have bamboozled 4 doctors into perscribing me xanax and adderall in the past. Doctors hand out scripts for xanax like candy these days, I have a 100% success rate and have never been refused. Play stupid like you don't really know about drugs, and try not to look like a junkie, which should be cake for an ex-marine.

Also, I also believe shrooms will help you like others in this thread have suggested. Personally I would get a xanax script, then eat half an 8th of shrooms for your first time, if you start having a bad trip you can take 2 or 3mg of xanax to help abort. I never have had a bad shroom trip, but then again I have never been to war, either. Best of luck to you.

[5 Points] ILIKEDRUGSTUFF:

Seriously these people are all right, smoke weed.

[7 Points] ilam:

Try CBD oil or Isolate.

[8 Points] LittleThugWife:

I have nothing. Just wanted to thank you for your service and hope that you find peace.

[5 Points] ColdHard:

If you are looking to CURE the PTSD, then MDMA has had very promising results and there may be a formal medical clinic that can assist with this.
http://www.mdmaptsd.org/

These folks have been working on the science and practice of it for a few decades and know more than anyone. http://www.maps.org/research/mdma

If you contact them, they may be able to help you find a local resource to you.

[2 Points] deadoijthrownaway:

/u/tranqsupport might be able to help. He also may have blocked me for asking for a reship I was promised but we'll see. There are other vendors out there that have treated me better but are a little bit more expensive. The product is typically better though, feel free to pm me if you need anything.

[2 Points] doctorbasil:

why tranq....he's such a fuck-up and he's been scamming people left and right under various names for the past year or so. there are several other pressers who are much better (xanaxman, theoryofharmony etc)

edit: scamming*

[2 Points] TurnedOnTunedIn:

I know they use ketamine for an animal tranquilizer. Would that work on marine life as well?/s

[2 Points] psychejohndoe:

A dose of MDMA might be beautiful.

[1 Points] Fetus_In_Anus:

He's on alphabay.

[1 Points] Greencanna:

I recommend rso (Rick Simpson oil) cannabis oil.

[1 Points] None:

The VA has psychologists you can talk with and therapy groups available. They have nearly limitless resources. Did you receive a bad discharge? like general?

[1 Points] prioritybudsOFFICIAL:

not go with opiates friend /u/barbarEpirate. Send pm or email me pioritybuds01@ sigaint.org and I make you high cbd oil you take oral and is better for you

[1 Points] RaveTurkey01:

Small doses of MDMA will help, giving a sense of euphoria and apathy, being at one with everything

You don't want to roll, so pretty much 1/2 a point will be more than enough

[1 Points] ItsShatterDay:

Strongly recommend ketamine for the problems you are describing. A single intramuscular injection provides immediate relief for me that lasts over a week without having to re-administer. This wonderful drug has helped get my subconscious mind to surface, allowing for problems in my life to be identified and worked on. The FDA is currently in phase III clinical trials to determine whether ketamine infusions are an effective treatment of traumatic stress issues. The results of phase I and II have been very promising. (spoiler alert...it really works.) Source is the National Institute of Health (I won't post a link to a .gov site)

[1 Points] lordredvampire:

Have you tried cannabis? Shrooms helps immensely too!

[1 Points] Thegirlsaidreign:

Thanks, grew up airforce, it's a different life.

[1 Points] None:

we hope the bars we sent helped

[1 Points] winterphase:

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned it but there's been some promising results for using ketamine as an antidepressant, nice tranq, will get you out of your head for a bit and is probably my favourite drug if you can deal with being basically incapacitated whilst you're high.

Good luck man, you'll pull through

[1 Points] None:

Ketamine my man. It is an anesthetic that you can take swallow, sniff, smoke, put up your butt, or inject. But more seriously, It has been used in medical trials to fight off depression, and more recently to "rapidly treat ptsd"

God speed my brother. Message me if you have any basic questions.

[1 Points] walt81:

Ask the VA put you on Buspar & Restoril, benzodiazepine can be very dangerous for War Vet. I wish you the best dude and thank you for your service.

[1 Points] patternsofpatterns:

I second the psychedelic recommendation. I had PTSD /hypervigilance/anxiety etc . I could barely hold a job but mescaline/lsd/cannabis eventually got rid of all my symptoms. Doing worlds better now

[1 Points] Dick_Beaterson:

Are you lying or just spell like a retard?

[1 Points] Crookygrin:

2/4 combat vet checking in, Good luck bro, semper Fi!

people are going to suggest empathogens I'm sure, hell I could scroll down a couple cm and see that for myself I'm sure lol.. but I suggest only doing so if you have a (semi)professional present who is used to dealing with someone in the throes of a negative experience because using said substance(s) will most likely force you to dwell on issues that you, as a human, compartmentalized and stored into a part of your self that protects you from yourself.

if you want to forge ahead and explore the concept of taking a lot of information at, what your brain considers, face value; I suggest finding a trusting and empathetic loved one to guide you into clear seas if things become too powerful for you to process.

Otherwise there are short term solutions to anxiety issues which can be used when things become too much and you're left trying to keep your shit together. I suggest a small amount benzo's kept on hand, as long as you have self control (or a loved one who will be there to give you anxiety relief upon request, within reason) and the ability to identify between a full blown anxiety attack and just a hikkup.

I have a brother who is dealing with a lot of PTSD after being a gunny in afgahnistan for way too damn long and his life has been a vicious cycle of benzo/alcohol addiction since his return and I wish I could've given him this advice before the VA fucked him up worse. If you need to talk or anything PM me, I am always willing to listen.

edit: I can pm you vendor's for any of the above suggestions if you'd like

[1 Points] None:

You should try MDMA and talk to a cool therapist or someone you trust.

83% of patients no longer qualified for PTSD from initial studies and trials. MDMA doesn't need to be taken repeatedly (a good therapeutic dose is around 75-125mg), and has long-lasting benefits. The PTSD doesn't return, either. It is important that you talk it out with someone, though. MDMA is merely the tool.

How it works is it increases memory recall, but also decreases fear and anxiety while also boosting acceptance and understanding. You compartmentalize what you have been through, and you connect with the parts of yourself you are missing.

Look on maps.org for more information. Much love, and I hope you consider this before benzodiazepines or SSRIs.

[1 Points] weepark:

mdma is under clinical studies. i personally believe after my first expereince it made me a happier person. as hype as that sounds. im not a candy kid but it def opened some doors for me when i was depressed. given this was one dose-ish a long time ago.

[0 Points] Greencanna:

It is usually sold in syringes and can be placed in capsules to take like a pill. I have seen a few vendors on alphabay who sell this. The VA is trash and no help. Best regards.
