Trouble Installing OpenVPN

I'm trying to setup my VPN and am configuring OpenVPN. I run "sudo apt-get install openvpn resolvconf" in a root terminal, and it keeps saying it can't find an installation candidate for OpenVPN.

Anyone know what's going on here? I'm in Tails.

Are the repo's where OpenVPN lives added to your repository list for your package manager?

I actually helped one of the IT guys at SlickVPN re-write their guide for Ubuntu (and similar).

See if this helps. Hint: It will :)

Namaste

Edit: Actually if you're using tails....I don't know if tails uses Gnome for the network manager stuff. Maybe KDE or Xfce or another? Go to your package manager GUI on Tails and search for openvpn to find the right one if the guide doesn't work (it's designed for the GNOME network manager)

Tails is not ready for a VPN, and if you use one right now you compromise your OPSEC.

Wait for Tails to natively integrate VPN support.
