Controlled Delivery/Signing for packages

if someone was aware that they were in the situation of a controlled delivery what would be the best way to react as to avoid being arrested and possibly prevent further suspicion, also in a different case if a mailman asks you to sign for a package, how should you respond? i am aware you should say no but saying he insists you sign or seems confused that you wont sign and doesn't know what to do, how would you further respond?

Don't answer the door just look through the window and don't answer. The guy will think your a dick but he'll take it with him or just leave it somewhere. If your convinced it's intercepted they'll just put it in your mailbox and then never get it and the post office will send it back. Also clean your house before the package gets there and then no matter what happens you'll be fine. They use the package for a warrant but if the search shows your just a normal guy you'll be good

If one were absolutely 100% certain that it were a CD then don't take possession of the pack. That simple. They'll either raid or won't raid depending I guess on the warrant. Unfortunately it's doubtful you'll know for sure.

here is some info. regarding CD's.

If you've done the right thing and your house is clean the best option is to just accept the package. Do not say anything about the package - just tell them you want your lawyer. You will be safe unless you have a dirty house and/or admit to ordering the package. If they search your house, so be it - your house should be clean.

Being a sus cunt peering out through the window screams guilt.

-never sign

-the answer to "mind if we look around your house/apt" is NO

-Only thing you actually say is I will only communicate in the presence of my lawyer. Admit nothing no matter what they say they know.

Basically if this situation comes up your goal is to limit the upcoming legal issues. Anything you do or say will make your case harder to defend.

[1 Points] None:

Stop spreading this bullshit that signing for a package = you admitting guilt. Signing for a package means nothing more than proving to the shipping company (in this case USPS) that mail carrier "a" delivered package to its destination address and SOMEONE (they dont give a shit who) signed for it to say so.

If you were NOT doing illegal activities and you got a package delivered to your door you actually had no clue whatsoever about, what would you do? Do the same thing in this situation. Sign for it with a smile on your face.

Common sense people.

****A couple things you could do to MAYBE help your defense in a court would be to step outside your door and close it to accept the package. Lots of people do this with deliveries of any type of good, even pizza, to keep the nosy delivery person from seeing the massive clutter of shit you call your home.

This will give you a chance as well to scope out the area, and notice for signs of nervousness on the cop/postal worker decoy... because unless you live in a major market where there are experienced undercover units, they WILL be nervous. Check for pounding heartbeat in the neck and temples. Possibly wearing an earpiece? If anything doesnt feel right, do whatever you deem best to get out of the situation. I personally would take the package back inside like normal, sit it on the dining room table unopened and go about my business.

The thing is, if your OPSEC is even just average, in most any court I believe it would be hard for the prosecution to prove that you ordered the package. Law enforcement has some bad ass IT guys, but CSI: Cyber is an entertainment show... not real life. Budget and time have a much greater impact IRL. And an unopened package that was just delivered to you with your name on it by a mail delivery service is NOT criminal possession. If it were, think of the people you could completely fuck over for the low price of $150.

Always remember, even if you're guilty as fuck, LE still has to prove it. Be calm, you hold the cards.

I'm not a lawyer but I do know my rights, as should you.

*P.S. - Search warrants are most often very specific. A common trick for LE is to get a search warrant for something specific and then show up to your door "John Smith, we have a warrant to search your home, do you mind if we come in and have a look around?" Next thing you know, your dumb ass has given them consent to completely search your home. Simply accept the warrant and lawyer up.

TL;DR Sign --> STFU --> Get a lawyer --> Deny, Deny, Deny.
