How do vendors get Xpresspost tracking from Canada Post anonymously?

I'm not a vendor but I'm sending a few friends in different provinces some gifts. I got the Xpresspost envelopes & when I asked about how to get tracking the lady said you have to register the Xpresspost envelope with your nearest Canada Post office to activate a tracking number. Does that mean vendors have to walk into Shopper's Drug Mart or wherever has a post office to register their 100 illegal packages? That sounds mad dangerous & I won't even do it for 3 packages let alone thousands

Edit: I tried to find Jolly Roger's vendors guide on DDW but couldn't find it. Can anyone link that?

edit 2: I know you can buy the xpresspost envelopes but they told me to activate tracking I have to register the tracking number at the post office closest to where I mailed

US here, but have you tried walking into your PO and just asking for tracking labels? My guess (and it's just a guess) is that labels are used in CAN the same as in the US. If so, I doubt you'll have any trouble whatsoever in snagging just three.

I have plenty, to sell you- if needed

You can order them online and yes most people just go to the post office and order bulk, thats what I do. How do you think that is dangerous? They dont ask for your ID or anything so not sure what your issue is.

you just drop it in a street mailbox. Once it hits the first sorting centre it will get its first scan. Or if you really need the "dropped off at PO" scan you can drop it in the letterbox at a post office.
