Hi all,
Straight down to the point, Australian currency is one of the worlds hardest to counterfeit, primarily because it is "printed" on a special plastic-based (polymer variant) base. Security features like a see-through window, raised ink etc.. very rarely, if ever, have I come across a DNM vendor selling Australian counterfeit currency.
The vendor "5o_DoLLAR_BiLLS" alleges to sell this. He's currently based on Evolution marketplace.
- According to the photos, it looks like a super-counterfeit (high quality) variant. The said vendor claims it is produced in Russia, another "red flag", why would someone not import the needed equipment, plastics & materials and produce it domestically(?) no risk associated with our insane customs trying to transport millions of dollars worth of counterfeit currency from an extremely high-risk country like Russia to Australia.
- The vendor has currently, as of right now, 2 feedback, one with a "FE will update later" garbage and another with a "review" for $50,000 worth of the currency that was purchased, mind you, this vendor only started on Evolution on the 13th, why would anybody order $50,000 worth of the currency without "testing" it first with a smaller order? Mind you, $50,000 worth of his $50 bills cost $4,000 in BTC - not exactly a small amount of money, another red flag. Obvious shilling.
- Another red-flag is on his listings, he has listed his items as Digital items, if you look under "Class: Digital" why would he do that? Is this vendor praying that people forget to start a dispute to stop the automatic finalization process? (digital items have a 5 day automatic F.E window, AFAIK.)
- The vendors account was started on the 13th of DEC, this month, right before Christmas holidays and extreme postal delays, again, is this vendor praying on people who don't dispute or forget to dispute to stop the internal F.E clock where he will then blame it on postal delays?
- Complex name, this vendors chosen name is not generic, for example "SonyAU" is a generic vendor name; this vendor has chosen a complex, more harder to "search for" name. Also take note that he has replaced a "0" with a "o" in his vendor name, another small, red flag.
- His vendor page is in complete broken English (no offense) and he claims to ship domestically from Australia, another red-flag.
Please post any thoughts here. I'm on the edge of pushing through a test order to see whether this is a scam or the real deal, so far based on what I've gathered this definitely a scam.
it's a scam, why would anyone counterfeit a currency that can only be used in one country? and a currency that is notoriously hard to counterfeit at that. Euro and us$ would be the only fake currency I would even consider buying,
