What is one HUGE option that you find necesary for a marketplace that 95% do not offer?

Just curious. There's always room for improvement and maybe if we get a good discussion going, then it'll be noticed. I'm sure a lot of you have fantastic ideas, I'm not that creative. I do wish marketplaces would really really really strive to force users to have 2-FA logins, a PGP key in their profile, and FORCED 2-3 multisig escrow. I know that would hurt their exit scam profits, but I would use that market above all else if they policed those three things pretty heavily. It would help defeat a lot of negative claims and help defeat phishing links (talking to you AB). Other than that, maybe better search functions, I have a hard time finding certain vendors... especially if they have a . or space in their name. Like, "Mr.Dot.Drugs I'm a drug dealer" is very hard to find. I'm sure that's easier said than done to fix, but it's always bothered me a lil.

What are your thoughts?

I wish markets would have an exit scam alert to tell us when they're about to kick rocks.

The ideal market would be truly decentralized. How to accomplish that effectively is the question. A question I don't claim to have an answer to.

A market that put some of that 5% commision towards paying some ACTIVE moderators would be paradise.

I'm sure they just get flooded with dumb messages like; help I fucked up and sent my btc to wrong address, where do I get btc, how do I buy drugs on the internet, I forgot my password/pin/mnenomic (that you told me several times to write down), etc....

But it would be nice that when a legitamate deal dispute occured, that a team of efficient/unbiased Mods could handle the issue in a timely manner.

Marketplace owners could force you to do all those things, but they will still rob you if they want to. They code those software features, and thieves are notoriously bad at policing themselves.

There will never be a software solution to exit scams by the software writer. Marketplaces aren't open-source. Even if they were, they can switch off for half an hour like alphabay and reappear totally different, no longer taking marketplace commission because collecting that 5% would endanger their chance of getting away with the 95% they have been admiring.

With nucleus out of the way, somehow, alphabay are the biggest marketplace. 6 months of trading now and everyone will be set up for life, without having to keep looking over their shoulder.

Alphabay would be stupid to exit scam, but exit scam they will. A carder would rather steal 50c than earn a dollar. Somebody is as proud as punch to have a tumbler which walletexplorer doesn't spot, after two failed attempts.

It makes no difference, they will still get caught, because their two failed attempts and their mistakes are preserved until 2140. Plus, tumblers only protect people from seeing what happened BEFORE tumbling.

When we see alphabay dumping bitcoin into their own tumbler and giving us the finger, we just follow any part of it on the blockchain. Tumblers are useless if you see the money going IN.

I'd like to see a marketplace with a good man running it, rather than a thief or a potential thief.

When you look back on a marketplace, the software was irrelevant to whether you were robbed or not.
