USPS Pkg Intercept

Has anyone used this with myUSPS? Say a package showed up on your feed for an estimated delivery date of Thursday and the package was shipped Monday around 3:30pm. If you rerouted it through the myUSPS package intercept feature to hold it at the post office, would you be able to pick it up Wednesday evening? I'm asking in case someone were to be leaving town on Thursday morning for the entire weekend and could possibly speed the process up by going to the nearest post office for pickup. What are your thoughts?

I haven't had the nerves to try this, yet.

That shit does not work. I had a whole huge fiasco with the a return to sender pack. I (stupidly) put an intercept AND opened a case on it to have it re-routed back to me before it was returned to sender.

Nothing. I watched that stupid pack on the tracking go across the country then land in the dead letter office....to be gone forever.

That wont work. If you have it held at your local PO for pickup, it still wont be available till Thurs morning. Mail arrives at local POs around 5 or 6am and then gets sorted to be put in outbound residential delivery trucks by 8ish. If it doesnt go into residential trucks it might be available for pickup by the time they open their doors or not until the PO box sort is complete (9ish usually).
