Package "Undelivered as Addressed"

Placed an order recently and received the tracking info. All was going well until I checked today on USPS and it had an alert on it saying it was "undelivered as addressed". It is in the right city and everything, so I'm not sure if it was due to poor addressing by the vendor (illegible) or if it was taken by LE. Any advice would be appreciated

Depending on two things - when it was marked undeliverable and if your post office has transited back to the return address yet - you may or may not be able to get the package.

First: google search the "USPS *****"; the *s being the zip code the tracking says the post office is located in. Write down the phone number and time it opens in the morning. If you can't find the correct USPS office, call any other office (or 1-800-ask-usps) with your tracking number and ask them to tell you the office the parcel is currently located at.

Second: As soon as they open tomorrow since they are now closed, call the office your package is at and tell them you have an undeliverable as addressed parcel from the day before and ask if they can find it at the office or if it has been returned already. If they do happen to have it, you can arrange a redelivery at the correct address or just pick it up.

Long winded, but I thought I'd be detailed enough for anyone that comes across this. I have saved many packages this way, and it is the only last resort you have. Once returned to sender, there will normally be no further tracking updates and the PO can not stop it once it is on its way.

PS. ID confirmation will be required if picking up from PO

I would go in with your tracking. If you were going to get in trouble they would have done a CD, sent a LL or update as seized. Just go into your local Po with the tracking and ask what's up . I would.

My worst nightmare. That's why I always double encrypt my address with the vendors pgp and a mods. Helps in disputes

Where I lived before moving, the post office said that just means it was put on the wrong truck in the morning. Check it's progress tomorrow
