Why does my Tails 1.7 GUI look like this?

I am installing Tails from another Tails USB (not a Tails USB that has been used, rather made for the sake of installing). This question is in regard to this other initial Tails USB that I made first. The first time I booted from it, it appeared normal. I was able to use it without problems, to make a proper Tails USB. Today, for whatever reason this my proper Tails USB is not booting so I am returning to the initial Tails USB I made for the sake of installing, so that I could try again, yet when I boot from it, the GUI is not the same this time. It looks like it resembles Windows. The wallpaper is a high res pic of a flower, and the menu bar has what appears to be a windows logo on it. I presume this means that the VM part of Tails did not load, yet I'm surprised to see this result. I would think the entire thing would fail, not show me this rather nice looking Frankenstein'd version of Tails and Windows combined.

This is the "windows stealth mode".

Reboot tails and under " more options" when you would choose to use persistence or not, you will see it is an option. Unchecked the box, reboot.
