Pack Undeliverable as addressed?

So I have a pack coming to one of my receivers po box and it says notice left which is what it normally says when they leave the little note in the box for the person to bring up to the counter and retrieve the package but a few hours later it updated saying: "Your item was undeliverable as addressed at (time and date here at location) It is being returned if appropriate information is available."

I know the correct info was mailed so it's not the wrong address.

Is it possible it's just scanned incorrectly and he will walk in on Monday when the post office is open and be able to get it?

Weird that they would leave a notice and then it's undeliverable as addressed, why would they leave the notice?

Anyone have this happen before to them?

Selective scam or problems with mail that day. Call the post office

Has your address ever been burnt before?

Vendor probably put the wrong address

This just happened a few weeks ago to me. I called USPS 1800# and was able to track it to wrong PO it got sorted to a town over. Called that local PO and they had it there which I went and picked up fine. He said new recruit scanned it as undeliverable instead of scanning it for redelivery following day when he couldn't find my house. Good luck!

BTW they messed up again today delivering another package to wrong house(two doors down) luckily the home owner there brought it down to me unopened! Scary how bad they've been lately

Sorry to say that Undeliverable as Addressed means the address the vendor used is not a real address. For example, if you live at 1234 Main St. and the vendor accidentally put down 123 Main St, and 123 Main St doesn't exist, that's Undeliverable as Addressed.

Luckily u have the tracking number, I'd contact them ASAP, as this wont correct itself most of the time. The vendor probably missed a digit on ure label by accident. First thing they'll do is try and contact the people on the return address (definetly they do on express priority, im sure they do on priority as well, maybe not as quick as they do on express though). In my situation, obviously the return address was BS. It was a real office, but just a random one the vendor used, so when they contacted them (which was maybe an hour or 2 after it was 'undeliverable') the office had no idea what it was about, so that was a dead end. I had the tracking number so i was able to pick it up (or schedule a redelivery if i wanted) with no problems. But I picked it up a meer few hours later, I am not sure how long they hold the package before they just return to sender, so if you have tracking, go to the post office and pick it up as soon as ya can bud.

There are rare cases where a noobie sorter may have fucked up the scanning, but in my experience, both with getting this problem myself on orders, as well as what I saw when working in the shipping field myself, the case I explained is more common then the noobie sorter misscan, so like I said I'd assume the 'worst' and go with what I said above to be safe!

Good luck man!
