It does suck. For what it's worth, I've been using penguinmixer in the meantime.

You don't need Helix to tumble. You never have. Nor the outrageous 2.5% fee for that matter. Or Payshield. Or PenguinMixer, or anything else.

Open a new dummy LocalBitcoins1 account, using Tor if you'd like. Send your coins there. Wait an hour or two. Withdraw coins to the dark market address. It will have come from a completely different wallet, with a completely different history. Total fee paid: essentially 0%.

The only difference? LE can't trace your coins through Grams, because they [probably] don't have access to Grams' servers. They could theoretically trace the coins through LBC, by subpoena'ing them and finding the input and output addresses in your account history. However, the likelihood that they go to this amount of trouble for some random DNM buyer is zero. Nor does the blockchain say anything about what you used the coins for anyway.

1 Other sites with hot wallets can usually be substituted as well, i.e. gambling sites. LBC is only one option.
