Monero nodes question

As the wallet syncing obviously takes about two weeks i got some time - hard time - to read monero tutorials. What i don't understand is why should you tunnel a full monero node through tor. Isn't the node permanently broadcasting all kinds of transactions anyway, so it is impossible for other nodes to see if a transaction originates from you? Isn't the required traffic (1 block every 3 min) too much anyway for socks? And why is it not possible or at least discouraged to connect to a remote node via tor as it is with electrum ?

i am not sure why it is discouraged to connect to remote nodes. thats the only way i was able to get monero to sync at first.

dont sync over tor.

Use a remote node over torsocks or full node over clearnet.
