[GeneralQuestions] What is the etiquette on vendors finalizing the order?

Okay, here is my story. With about $20 extra in my account, and desiring a functional stimulant but not being able to afford 2-fa and certainly not a satisfying amount of pharmaceuticals, I decided to order some amphetamine paste from overseas, specifically Germany (I live in the US).

This was weeks ago. I haven't received the product, but I haven't given up hope yet because apparently there was a postal strike in Germany.

Still, about twelve days ago, the vendor finalized the order. I don't really care about the money - it wasn't much. But I was wondering what the general etiquette in the situation is. I could have asked to extend the forced escrow time, but I figured I'd have awhile before the vendor got antsy since it's an international order. And its not like I got a message before hand or anything. I understand that vendors want their money, and I'm sure plenty of assholes place orders and never come back to finalize. I guess I just expected some more time and/or a message.

Should one just expect that a vendor will finalize as soon as they're given the opportunity? Is there some sort of appropriate waiting time? Should you just always ask to extend the forced escrow if you haven't received your product?

In any case, with this situation, and also getting scammed by a Canadian awhile back, I think I can safely say I'm staying domestic in the near future.
