Good for him.

Well I'm glad it's going to trial. It will be good to see what kind of evidence they'll present on both sides.

But I have to say Ross's lawyer doesn't really inspire confidence. Parallel construction is a dead end unless they've got a whistle blower, and "bitcoins aren't illegal to own" doesn't address the question of how 29,000 of them went through SR and into Ross's virtual pocket.

I think he will have hard time explaining he did nothing. Instead, I think he should defend himself the thing he did should not be punishable. What he did is that he made possible for people to trade anonymously, but what they trade is completely other story. Pretty much similar to copyright bullshit. Neither drug, nor copyright enforcement are normal things, in normal world.

Hopefully the judge isn't on the NSA's payroll

[2 Points] aLcSiDd:

Yeah he seems pretty fucked on this one. Really...all charges?

But explaining this shit to a jury is going to be hard for the prosecution.

Only thing the defense has is to hope the jury is too confused to find no reasonable doubt.

Reasonable doubt is what its going to boil down to. The defense has a good leg to stand on there.

Jury nullification is what this man needs...

Yes I realize this is (sadly) unlikely.
