Agora Phishing Link [official post please upvote for visibility]

Some users reported sending their coins to a phishing version of Agora. We are really sorry that the think stayed up for so long, but please remember to

ALWAYS USE THE MARKETPLACE LIST ON THE SIDEBAR

We dropped the ball on leaving it up and mistakenly flairing it as an update, but please remember to check the sidebar always.

I will not repost the phishing link as people may mistakenly or maliciously use it.

While you are at it: Silkkitien is NOT Swedish, but a Finnish market

So, just to be clear. The page that was asking for your pin was a phishing site?

I did dumbassedly enter my pin but I have like spare change in my account. SO what should I do?

In addition to what Infinite has said, we have taken steps to absolutely assure that this will not happen again.

Everyone should use two-factor authentication, which will limit the scope of such attacks. A phishing site may not know that you have 2FA enabled, at which point you will immediately become suspicious when you "successfully" log in without solving a cypher. If the phishing site is smart enough to determine whether you have 2FA enabled, then it can spoof a successful cypher response and make it look like you have logged in. At that point, if you deposit any money, it's gone. But at least they won't be able to use your credentials to get any money you have in the real site.

Its academic if Agora and Agora forum never return.

All their problems with bitcoin deposits recently were3 caused by a big change in the way Agora handles bitcoin internally.

It doesn't. Agora is now a bitcoinless site. They are taken off you at the door, then given back to you or the vendors at the exit, like a casino. Everything that happens on the site uses casino chips.

Agora has no escrow to rob, so if they did rob us they would get away with it.

if SheepRoad hadn't spotted it.
