[CommunityDiscussion]o you really think people monitor your everyday online purchases and cross references you with DNM orders?

I was having an argument with a friend today. Do you think it's risky to buy a scale from a normal clearweb store site and at the same time buy powder from the darknet at the same address? He says it's "super suspicious" because it "could" be used with drugs.

There's no red flags on my house. There's no reason for anyone to know I ordered a scale. How would they know? It's a safe clearweb huge site with millions of orders. Post office workers handle packages from huge sites boxes every day. What do you think?

Anyone who thinks you end up 'flagged' or on some list for ordering a scale from Amazon is a little paranoid.

There are whole sections of online stores and entire businesses selling more grey-area products than that, and no one fucking gets busted. Like all the glassware sold for smoking 'tobacco', and the mushroom spores sold for 'microscopy'...

No. I think it's ludicrous to think that every purchase of anything - even laboratory equipment - is worth anyone's time or effort to start digging into what other orders may be arriving at that household at the same time.

Chemicals, possibly. It would depend on which ones in what amounts and many other factors.

I own a postage scale, a kitchen scale, and a milligram scale, none of which are used for drugs. I buy stuff from American Science and Surplus all the time because it's nifty. I use beakers instead of measuring cups. I buy strange chemicals on Amazon - I bought several different things this summer experimenting on making my tiki torches have flame colors.

I'm a chemist by trade and I like messing around with home chemistry projects for fun.

I have never thought to worry about my order history being scrutinized because it's a ridiculous notion. You have nothing to be concerned about.

No they don't, but if you order from a clearnet site under investigation then there is always that chance.

It kind of reminds me of the movie Seven where they say that people are flagged b/c they checked out the book "Catcher in the Rye." If you are asking will investigations originate from these types of purchases (the clearnet ones), then no. But it will certainly be used against you should you be under investigation through whatever means they find you. But its not suspicious in the sense that you'll get looked at more closely.

Basically, as well, in order for the arugment to work, that its suspicous to have a DNM pack as well as a scale ordered at the same time, implies that they are aware of the DNM pack. So that makes no sense b/c if they are aware of the darknet pack, it doesn't matter what else you ordered. Since LE shouldn't be aware of the darknet pack, then the question becomes really "Will a scale from a clearnet site be suspicious" and the answer is still a "no".

Around here you can just walk into a gas station and buy a scale.... lol..

I bought whip it's, a testing kit, Molly, bud, and wax on the exact same day. I'm not in jail.
