So I live in a residential apartment location. I have my own mail box. I never sign packages from USPS workers. But sometimes my packages that can't fit inside the mailbox go to my leasing office down the street. The office staffers asks me to sign as an indication that the held package was delivered to the correct person. By signing for a package that my leasing office held for me could that signature that I gave the leasing office warrant an investigation on myself?
Just looking for some advice or some stories that I could learn from.
Definitely not in this case. The apt is just covering their ass. They want to be able to prove they gave you the pack. Nothing more. NOthing less. LE will not leave a pack with office staffers, out of hteir control. If they are going to pop you, they are going to pop you. Its not going to be a "next week" sort of thing. Signature is definitely irrelevant in this case.
