I'm pretty sure 30 years doesn't include a first degree murder charge. Add in that and the person faces life.

[17 Points] 7fish7:

I haven't been following the trial so I don't know what the decided on punishment was (if it's over yet?).

Anyways, kinda not-so-widely-known fact, a "life" sentence is 20 years. a "Life sentence without possibility of parole" is your whole life. Also "x consecutive life terms" is 20*x years in prison.

[14 Points] _TROLL:

I know OP is trying to make a statement related to Ross, but I doubt he will end up doing literally "life in prison".

I could see him being sentenced to an outrageous amount of time, but being released after a very long, but finite, period. Maybe 20 years, plus or minus 5...? I don't know.

It would be murder + 30 YEARS AS A SEPRATE CHARGE

Duh to the federal government, tax dollars are worth more than lives.

[2 Points] PbcHw3M:

Nothing new. The resistance against the state itself has always been and will always be punished more merciless than any violent crime against any other human being. This is the quintessence of the nature of the beast. They are not here to protect and serve. They are here to abuse, exploit and lie to us.

[3 Points] necrambo:

reminds me of how you can get student aid if you rob, murder or commit arson but a drug conviciton for a joint and no money for you, you druggie piece of shit! should have committed a respectable crime like rape!

edit: after actually fact-checking (doh!) it seems they moved the goalpost a bit and your aid is revoked if you are convicted while receiving aid - however near as i can tell that only applies to drugs, go figure.

[2 Points] bluecamel17:

We all know that the drug war is illogical.

[1 Points] karmanotneeded:

The FED system works on points, These are mandatory minimums, as points are added the time rises. A first offense of 15yrs after they add all the points will probably get you 25yrs. The death charge will bring life, no Federal death penalty.

We live in a puritanical society that has its morals completely fucked up. Blame the pilgrims.

Well we should focus on the daughter rape laws then.

Running a drugs network, as Boss as it sounds is very very serious. I dont doupt DPR enabled ppl to sell kilos of heroin and coke and in turn a few poeple OD'ed.

Im a huge fan of the dark net, ive spend over 5k on drugs(like Tylenol) there.

But without DPR- ppl would not have bought large quantities of drugs specifically heroin, and OD'ed. Life in prison is appropriate.
