Someone from package sorting left a note on my package... how to proceed?

Throwaway account.... So anyways this happened a few months ago, haven't ordered since. I was getting packs shipped to my place about once a week and then one week i get the package and this was written with a pen on the outside of my package...

"Yo man, tell your boy to seal this better. People sorting wanted to hand this to our boss but i managed to to convince them not to. Be smart and safe about it."

Should i take this as i sign to stop, as these packages were coming to a college owned address and i do not want to be kicked out... What do y'all think?

whats there to think? you got your ass saved by whoever wrote that on your pack. had they handed it to their boss and campus police had been made aware of it you would have been kicked out of school, mommy and daddy would have been very upset at you. so again, whats there to think about?

[85 Points] Wamboz:

Don't ship to your dorm.

[45 Points] whatisopsec:

The hand of god reached out and touched your punk ass. Stop trying this stupid shit if you can not handle it properly.

[34 Points] telracs:

p.o. box my nigga

[32 Points] DaRealDonaldTrump:

What is with all these god damned cliff hangers. I can't handle this shit!

[16 Points] Hchchxychcjcjcj:

Hahaha, ofuck. DO YOU EVEN HAVE TO FUCKING ASK THIS QUESTION?

[15 Points] d45f67h8:

You owe a stranger a good deed for this, dude. You almost got fucked and someone saved your ass without expecting anything in return, and for no good reason. You're nobody to him, and he helped you. I seriously hope you pay it forward. SERIOUSLY, dude put his ass on the line to help you... he could have lost his job if anyone told the boss he did that. With that said, and as others have said, do not ship to your college... it's not worth it, you could lose everything you've worked for, and then what? McDonalds? You don't get refunded the money you've dumped into college. Plus I heard colleges can open suspicious mail when its handed over to their care, but that might just be a rumor. Not worth it anyway. Get a PO Box.

[13 Points] -gimmebrains-:

Better question - what do YOU think?

It's your life bro. Call it, but I'd say you've drawn attention. I know what I'd do.

[12 Points] throwahooawayyfoe:

This calls for a sacrifice to the darknet gods. They have nodded favorably in your direction and it is now time to repay their generosity.

[11 Points] ILIKEDRUGSTUFF:

Lmao! Too bad you cant hook that guy up

[10 Points] YoMommaRollsMyWeed:

stop being an idiot with shipping. that postal worker saved your arse. take his advice.

[7 Points] None:

Be very fucking thankful. The average postal worker does not give a fuck about what's inside package. I would take this as your one get out of jail free card.

[7 Points] Thoughtsofamaniac:

As someone who has worked as a USPS PSE who sorted packages as well as worked in letter sorting, I can say with experience that most USPS employees are not out to be the enemy. There are so many packs that get pushed through that really should be profiled and stopped if someone was doing their job, but they get through either because someone wants to be a bro as in this case or because they're tired of their 12 hour mandatory shift and just want to get shit done. I've told this story before but one evening I had a pack come through which actually felt like someone had just put some bud into a plastic bag and then thrown that into a media envelope, smelled like weed, and had no return address except for "TreeCo" with a fucking pot leaf drawn on with sharpie. I was DNM savvy at the time so I recognized it for what it was and pushed it through.

However, DO NOT take this as me saying "Take risks because postal workers got your back". The reality is that OPSEC should always be maximized. And the unfortunate truth is that even if you get a postal sorter who wants to cover your ass, sometimes it is simply out of their control. The letter sorting machines that USPS uses are called DBCS/AFCS and there are a couple others, but DBCS in particular are notorious for absolutely shredding mail if there is any kind of jam. The belts move through so fast that the machine processes something like 15 letters per second. At that speed, if anything like a shitty paper ad or badly packed envelope gets stuck in the belt, it will shred it along with whatever other pieces of mail happened to be in there or it will freeze up and the mail itself will have to be ripped from the belt, which often results in a torn envelope. If they notice or see any kind of powder seeping from an envelope or there is a noticeable smell, policy requires an employee to hand it to their super, and if it's in the case of a jam it's not always the postal worker who is cool with such a thing who will be there. Sometimes the maintenance workers themselves are the ones who find the gold and they almost always take it to the higher ups.

All that being said, I would actually message your vendor and inform him/her of the incident and request that any future packs to you include an extra layer of protection. It may or may not do you any good though, so just be warned. A while back I ordered MXE from that raging douchecunt psychotropix, before he sent out the bunk product, and the envelope came to me with that signature DBCS tear on it with a mark from the belts. Thankfully the MXE itself was fine but I sent him a friendly note based on my experience and recommended he start using mylar bags or some sort of material that wouldn't tear so easily if someone had to tug an envelope out of a jammed machine. He essentially replied back that he knew what he was doing, that I didn't know what I was talking about because he had never had that complaint before, and that if I wanted to remain a customer I should just shut the everloving fuck up. Some vendors, just should not be vendors. Hopefully it's different in your case but if it's not there are almost always other people selling what you're in the market for on the DNMs.

Good luck, and as others in here have said, don't forget to do a kind deed for a stranger and get your karma back in alignment.

EDIT- ALSO...Get a PO Box. It's worth the investment, and you're less likely to be profiled by anyone who might work on the college campus itself.

The only way out is to burn house and move to Belize

[4 Points] iHateTwitterr:

You're name & address is burned bro

[3 Points] topknotch89:

Bro use your head.p.o box, that sorter saved ur ass. Having worked in one of the biggest parcel services before, I'm telling you. You got lucky dude

[2 Points] HuskyPupper:

How to proceed?

Be smart and safe about it.

[2 Points] None:

Was it ripped open or smelly? Why did he tell you it needed to be sealed better?

Anyhow, you have a guardian angel. Listen to him.

[2 Points] cnr543:

This guy's just solved it we all need to get jobs at mail distribution centres.... Probably the best way we can help vendors out hahaha.

[2 Points] abrakazan:

Name. And. Shame.

[2 Points] Bulky_Bear:

Please, name the vendor.

[2 Points] None:

Does your college have it's own mail/sorting room run by students? Mine did. Maybe one of the students noticed and wrote on your package, instead of an actual postal employee? Just a thought..

[1 Points] None:

nothing wrong your end but you might wanna change vendor if your current one cant even seal his packs correctly lmao

and was your product still inside when it arrived?

[1 Points] aunty_unicorn:

Yes absolutely take this as a sign to stop, and if you don't, for the love of not having your arse hauled into a cell read up on Opsec and get yourself a proper drop.

Might be an idea to start popping some of that college fund aside to have a lawyer on retainer. For whenever the gods aren't smiling on you in future.

Us cats only have so many lives.

[1 Points] mejuwi1:

wow take it easy there brother stop before they cop your arse

[1 Points] Derrick4Real:

Wow!

Count your blessings, should have notified your vendor, carry on, pick an off campus drop.

God bless the postal employees with kind souls!

Edit:

I would stop ordering to a campus owned mailbox (i'm sure it is done quite a bit), not wise.

You're putting both your freedom and a college education on the line every time you order. You get popped...double fuckery fo life.

[1 Points] SloppyJoeLieberman:

Don't do what you originally did again.

You're lucky as fuck.

[1 Points] AkabaMami:

You should thank that guy ;)

[1 Points] stilldogman:

It sounds like a PO box, like many suggested here, would be a good plan.

OR, if you are moving out of dorms (I'm making an assumption that you're in them now) soon, don't order again until after then. What you are getting probably is not worth your freedom. Be safe, anonyfriend, and good luck.

[1 Points] blizade:

typically you have the same people who deliver your mail. i'd be buying that dude a gift card to somewhere or something. you got madd lucky.

[-1 Points] dnmnubbin:

ask for better stealth? All the packs I've gotten have had excellent stealth that if the pack opened, no one would suspect a mother fucking thang!
