[Complaint/Warning] Bitcoin Fog is definitely a SCAM - Yes this is a throwaway! (I like to be anonymous)

Either one or all of the /r/DarkNetMarkets mods are in on it, else obviously it would be removed from our sidebar after the dozens of complaints on being selectively scammed by the fog. This is very disappointing...I only got scammed once many months ago for about .5 btc, but the same exact story has happened to many many users:

It goes something like this:

1) Create a bitcoin fog account

2) Deposit funds

3) All of a sudden you can no longer log into the bitcoinfog account

4) Create a new account and message the bitcoinfog admins about your other account

5) Admins tell you they cant help, or bs about how you are trying to scam them, etc...always telling you that you probably forgot your password.

WHY IS THIS NOT BLACKLISTED AND WHY IS IT IN OUR SIDEBAR UNDER THE MARKETPLACE LIST???

One other hilarious thing is that the admins of bitcoinfog continuously post here stating that all the "fake" users who pretend to get scammed by them are obviously lying because we create throwaway accounts to post here.....as if it is not smart to be anonymous.

How do we combat this BS? We keep telling the DNM mods to stop the BS, we keep posting about how this is a huge scam...selectively scamming probably many people every day.

Helix Light works great for me...the fog is a scam.

What is this?

BTC scammed me too! They are selective scammers, I've been telling this to people for a while. Made a deposit into my account & was not able to log onto my account and there is no way I forgot my username/password! I made a new account & tried contracting support but got no response! Fuck BTC fog, I now use BTC Blender & I've never had an issue.

Its inflammatory shit like this that diminishes the rest of your post. I understand you are pissed, what makes our jobs tougher is that every complaint that I've personally seen as it related to BTC Fog has come from a throwaway account. I get why. I get why people would do that but you'd also have to get why that makes it hard for us to judge the merits of the complaint. I can almost guarantee that every single service/market listed on our sidebar gets complaints. There would be no sidebar essentially otherwise if we removed them once they got a complaint, validated or not. We do our best to keep the sidebar up to date and to remove services and markets when there are problems or scams.

The sidebar should not be seen as an explicit guarantee that you won't get scammed. A service or market in our sidebar that acted great one day can turn scammer the next. I encourage our members to use the sidebar perhaps as a starting point and to search this sub. You can find complaints here, if we were colluding with anyone, we'd be scrubbing and removing complaints. We don't do that. This forum is here for us to get up to date reports. Everything we read has to be taken into context as well. Its tough. There is no "validation" here. When a known user makes a complaint, it is weighted far more than when a throwaway makes the same complaint. Its the way it is. I'll answer more in a bit, but wanted to address this straight away.

In addition, selective scamming is a tricky bitch to uncover. You know what happened to you. We don't know you. We don't know what happened to you. Others are reporting BTC fog is fine for them, but again, that's the nature of selective scamming! It makes it harder to unmask but it also makes it easier to falsely accuse. Its much easier to uncover when there is just an outright scam b/c everyone will experience it. When its selective, it makes it obviously notorious to catch. And to add on top of it, random throwaways.

But I can assure you that the mods here are not colluding or trying to fuck over anyone here.

This screams shill. A new account posting <24 hours after another report ( I think that user is just inpatient) and promoting helix.

Did you at least try to log in a second time to test your user and pass before depositing funds?

[3 Points] holecloud:

Why straight up attack the mods in the first sentence. After I read that I just can't take that shit seriously. If Helix Light works great then fucking use it. Quit bitching about a choice you made. Nobody straight up told you to use fog, and if you know so many users who have been scammed then why did you use it, or is that just bullshit?

This is very disappointing...

That's what your dad says when he sees you in the morning.

So, I'm confused? Who are you mad at? So you're mad at the mods for you using a service you yourself describe as :

the admins of bitcoinfog continuously post here stating that all the "fake" users who pretend to get scammed by them are obviously lying because we create throwaway accounts to post here

WHY IS THIS NOT BLACKLISTED AND WHY IS IT IN OUR SIDEBAR UNDER THE MARKETPLACE LIST???

Why weren't you worried about this shit before today? "OUR" sidebar? Motherfucka you're a throwaway, shut up.

selectively scamming probably many people every day

yeah probably, but where's the proof. I'm guessing this flurry of research and all your info came after you're ass got scammed

LURK MOAR, hindsight is 20/20, quit your bitching, real talk.

[3 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

How do bitcoinfog know that you're a drug BUYER who has no business using professional money laundering tools, before "selectively" scamming your half a bitcoin?

Because I've never seen a vendor claim they lost a day's market takings complain about it on here. Just customers who never fail to recommend helix light.

[2 Points] TerribleDNMAdvice:

The "I forgot my own password" scam gets me every time, too.

[2 Points] DNMd:

Sounds like your shit was compromised dude (likely phished a while back). There are bots just waiting to drain your accounts as soon as money hits it.

Either one or all of the /r/DarkNetMarkets mods are in on it,

straight bullshit.

[1 Points] __Grammar__Nazi__:

Well if a user blindly jumps in without researching or researches and ignores the warnings they kind of deserve it at this point. Helix is so much better.

damn I'm oldschool. whats wrong with blockchain dot info shared send? I mean it just shuffles shit around no?

[1 Points] throwahooawayyfoe:

i use bitmixer.io. it doesn't require any sort of registration, they offer a cryptographically-signed letter of guarantee that you can show to support just in case something does go wrong, and the minimum, personally selectable tumbling fee is only 0.5% (+0.0005 BTC miner/tx fee). and the best part is, if you don't choose a time delay, your cleaned coins (all of them) will come out the other end and directly into your receiving address in right around 12 minutes.

their tor mirror is located at bitmixer2whesjgj.onion

I've used bitcoin fog and not once have I had any issues. I'm sorry to hear what happened. I wish you the best of luck.

I could have sore I saw an active warning on the info columns of Reddit's DNM section by the SR warning recently, but I must be mistaken.

I totally believe what you're saying about Bitcoin Fog. There have been reports about it for a long time. I remember posts about it on the SR forums. There are several in both Agora's forums and Evolution's. I'm unsure if they provide ironclad proof or anything. I do recall that many of the posts came from both respected vendors, and buyers that are very active in the communities there. They all pretty much describe exactly what you are saying.

However, I agree with what others are saying that by attacking the mods and name calling, you have discredited yourself, and damaged an otherwise valid warning to the community. I agree that it should be included in the warnings section, but I find it hard to believe that the mods on the site are in league with them or trying to scam it's users.

Again though, I already thought it was a well known fact that Bitcoin Fog was to be avoided. I do not know anyone that still uses it.

[1 Points] fuckfog:

I hope someone finds these scammers who are running bitcoin fog and put bullets in their heads. These fucks stole over 1500 from me.
