Mailing mistake

I'll make a quick summary of my concern. A few months ago I had a guy send me 2 pharmaceutical pills sent to me in the mail, but I told him to put a different name on the letter. That name was of a previous rental tenant.. I did this because I didn't want my girlfriend to open it if it was for me or question me what it was and get in trouble from her for wanting to obtain such a thing. So dumb of me.

Anyway it never arrived, as I assume the tenant had organised a mail redirection in their name. I'm worried this tenant actually ended up getting my letter and opened it, found it really strange and contacted their local police office.

The other thing that is weird is I still occasionally receive their mail so maybe they haven't had mail redirection, so I'm unsure.

Had a call from the local police today but I have no idea what it's about as I missed the call.. Worried that it's about this strange mail delivery... Any advice?

I don't know if this is always the case but when my previous tenant requested his mail redirected I received an official mail from USPS stating this request was made, and if I want it corrected please contact them. This makes sense, I guess, as a verification against fraud.
