USPS.com tracking no longer working with tor?

OK so I don't know if this is just me but I can no longer use Tor browser to track any shipments on USPS.com I used to be able to do it all the time but now every time I try to search for anything I get the following error:

"Access Denied You don't have permission to access "http://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?" on this server.

Reference #18.8c6a1db8.1424709073.c4d3ea0"

Anyone else having this issue?

Your exit node is probably just on a blacklist USPS uses. Get a new identity, but people have a theory checking tracking numbers via TOR flags them.

Yeah, lots of websites tend to block Tor completely when abuse occurs instead of making users log-in or some other form of verification.

I suggest viewing the page through an external web proxy (ixquick/startpage) or through a VPN.

Although, if you're tracking a package coming to your address, I doubt OPSEC would be compromised to check it from your home IP. Anyone chime in on this?

Yes. It looks like they have blocked many if not all Tor exit nodes.

You can try using a proxy after Tor to get around it (you may have to uncheck "block scripts"):

http://www.proxy4free.com/list/webproxy1.html

Alternative package tracking site

http://www.packagemapping.com/

It doesn't block Tor.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but seeing a delivery to Wisconsin or wherever being checked by a computer from Norway might be a little suspicious. I wouldn't even click it unless your package is long overdue. And then I'd probably be worried anyways.

so how are vendors going to get packs sent out anonymously now? be ballsy enough to walk in the post office, self serve machines, VPN after tor?

[1 Points] CookyDough:

I think USPS.com/gov is just blocking some tor exit nodes. I got a similar error last night when I was trying to load a page with one of their Quick Shipping Tips guides or whatever they are called at something.usps.com while using tor. I then used a cgi web proxy to access the page, and it loaded perfectly fine.

Use https://iship.com/trackit/ or www.packagetrackr.com to track packages.
