How to Not Lose Money When the B2X Fork Happens in 9 Days

Some of you who have been reading r/bitcoin, may know that there is a hard fork attempt coming up.

This fork is an attack on bitcoin and everything we here on the dark net stand for. For more details read my post history. Particularly sinister is the fact that there's only 1 dev for B2X, Jeff Garzik who works with LE everyday trying to take us down.

When this fork happens there may be some disruption on the bitcoin chain. Blocks might take longer to confirm but more importantly there is no "replay protection" which means if you send bitcoin or B2X after the fork your transaction may be valid on both chains, which means you may lose your corresponding B2X or bitcoin.

Ok What should I do?

For those of you who don't care and just want yer drugs, don't transact until the dust settles and there is a clear winner. Do a little planning, order your packs before this fork. Check r/bitcoin for updates. The real battle will be fought on the exchanges as everyone watches to see which coin takes the higher price.

It's likely that only 1 chain survives in the end, it will almost certainly be bitcoin. So most likely nothing too bad will happen but check r/bitcoin to be sure.

How should I Trade this fork?

I've gotten this question several times so here's the answer. This fork will be the most profitable event ever, it's super EZ money. Just dump 1/2 of your B2X at the beginning when the price is high then the price is going to crash. Then wait a day or two cuz it's going to pump again and thats when you sell the rest of your B2X.

You can probably use twitter.com/chainsplit to split your coins but the easiest way is to just send them to an exchange before the fork, that supports B2X trading or futures if you don't think they'll exit scam.

Mods: may want to sticky this. I'm off to sleep and will check back here in the morning

Please stop misinforming people. None of this is a sure thing. The price could slowly go up, or it could be zero the moment it gets listed. This isn't the BCH fork; the S2X token may necessarily not have sufficient demand. If you really think you can magically tell the future, trade it yourself and become a millionaire. Stop lying to people.

Edit: Well, since this comment is at the top, let me use this opportunity to tell you guys the single most important thing in terms of not losing money during the fork. Pull your money off exchanges and websites and store your coins on your own wallet. If you do not own the private key of your bitcoin, you may not receive tokens on the second change. Pulling your coins off your bitcoin exchange or market sites ensures that you receive both variants and can then do what you please with them.

Fuck off with this. Your core/Blockstream corporate dev team has been fucking the darknet for more than a year now with your bullshit "fee market" and "second layer solutions". So now that someone is taking real, hardcore action to make the Bitcoin network actually fucking usable, you freaks take an entire chapter out of Rules for Radicals and accuse them of doing exactly what you yourselves have been doing for years.

This would never have fucking happened if Core actually had the interests of the Bitcoin network at heart. It would have been very, very simple to just raise the goddamn blocksize, so people could actually use Bitcoin like it is supposed to be used, not with all these shitty fee estimators and unreliable transactions. But NOOOOOOOO, can't have that, we have to fuck everybody wanting to send under $5 with Bitcoin so that we can create demand for our bullshit corporate products.

I don't hold any Bitcoin any more, I'm balls deep in Monero. But I hope this fork succeeds, and Core crawls back into whatever little scummy hellhole they came from. Fuck Core, Fuck Blockstream, and Fuck you OP.

bullshit. the constrained 1mb blocksize is making btc more useless for actual business every day. tx fees are through the roof and are not coming down. that is the actual attack on bitcoin.

OP is clueless, please do not take his/her advice. keep your coins in a wallet in which you control the private keys (electrum is fine) and wait it out.

FTFY: I get all of my information from the hottest posts on a singular forum on a website, therefore I am entitled to teach you abstract, mainly useless information so I can feel important and maybe get like 16 up votes.

Edit: do not take the advice below

/u/OfficialCrazyCracker has brought to my attention that CB made the same promise when the BCH fork took place and they didn't follow through.

while we're on the topic, if you own a CB account, they will be matching your BTC balance with free B2X.

but if anyone still owns a CB account, and has some money they can drop and hold for a few weeks, buy some coin on CB and let it sit until they re-open the exchange begins trading again.

free money. just don't be a fool and send that free B2X to a tumbler or dnm when you do so.
