I am going to give in and 'accept' the fact that I was 'phished' out of $700 last week while using Nucleus. I am trying to piece together how this happened.
This is the story:
On an account created December 14, 2014 with a unique username and 2-FA enacted I was phished out of $700.
I logged on around 8pm to check the status of the market, my messages and that a vendor had created a listing specifically for me. Everything was fine and I had about .00063 BTC in my account from a previous order placed on Veteran's Day in November. I then logged off and closed out, heading to trade cash for some bitcoin downtown.
I came back with the Bitcoin in my personal wallet ready to tumble and send to my market account and purchase immediately. I logged onto Grams Helix and sent my coins to the provided address (2-FA also on this account with different username and password than market). The coins were received fine and started to tumble.
I logged back onto Nucleus to obtain my deposit address (I had generated a new one before leaving to get the coins). I saw that my BTC balance was now at 0 which caught my eye but for some reason did not make me refrain from sending the coin. I thought maybe BTC took a sudden jump and my insignificant amount of coins to begin with were now even more insignificant as to not even register a balance at all. I had used the same address as earlier (nucleuspf3ziq7o6) and what I believe to be correct Nucleus address. Address was first obtained from this subreddit's superlist and verified with multiple other sources (saved one on my computer and also the bookmark I made in Tor).
Anyways, my Helix Light tumble continued with an automatic withdraw to my Nucleus account (maybe this is what fucked me? being auto idk). Soon the confirmations started rolling in but no balance on my Nucleus account. Heart beats faster and I realize what is happening. I shit my pants and run to Reddit to post about it and eat my own fist knowing that somehow I got fucked in the arse and lost $700. Check my account profile and PGP was deleted and still is (Nucleus let me change my pin but won't let me put my PGP back in error: 'Cannot save the settings').
Don't criticize me as you are only wasting your key strokes, I am simply trying to figure out my fatal error. Also I haven't used alprazolam for going on 36 days now so bartard comments are funny but don't hurt my self esteem. Maybe I'll give the most original bartard comment Reddit Gold (sike).
If you have any input as to how I lost this BTC, please post in the comments. Thanks for any input.
Jesus Christ, people. When you know you have a real address for a market, copy and paste the damned thing into a txt file on your computer, and then keep that encrypted (there are apps that do this nicely). PASTE THAT SAME ADDRESS EVERY TIME.
