LSD - swallowing vs leaving on tongue

I always swallow LSD, maybe chew on it for a bit first. It takes ~45min to start working. An acquaintance took a 150ug tab of GDF Fluff (what I normally take). He left it on his tongue, and said he felt the extreme effects within minutes, and said he couldn't see, nothing even resembled his actual surroundings, etc.. I've taken these exact tabs probably 10-15 times, and when I do, nobody would even know unless I told them. (aka I act straight and can hold a conversation very easily, but still experience amazing effects) Could him leaving it on his tongue have made THAT much of a difference? I think maybe the LSD on the tabs I received wasn't distributed evenly and he may have gotten like 400ug... I don't really know how else to explain it.

It shouldn't, keeping on your tongue and swallowing it is just about the same thing, they both get absorb the same way. I always swallow mine to make sure I'm getting LSD because NBOMe doesn't activate with you swallow.

IME it takes a slightly shorter time to kick in when left under the tongue, which I prefer to do. I know what chemicals like NBOMes (EXTREMELY metallic and numbing, you absolutely cannot miss it) and DOx taste like so I have no concerns doing so.

I usually leave it under my tongue for five minutes before swallowing. Five minutes is too short of a time frame for an NBome to cause any noticeable effects and long enough to detect any bitterness or numbness in the blotter. It also means that you're absorbing part of the tab through the oral mucus membranes and part through the lining of the stomach, so the comeup doesn't take as long as it would if you had swallowed it but is nice and steady when it does.

It's pretty widely accepted that swallowing/leaving doesn't affect the trip itself at all. Leaving it on/under your tongue lets the tab hit you a little quicker (20-25 minutes instead of 40-45) but doesn't magically make the tab more potent. Your friend was probably either feeding you guys a made-up story or had his trip significantly impacted by his preconceptions of LSD.

Always keep under tongue till it starts creeping up. Then swallow.

I used to swallow lots of lsd tabs. It gave me inflammed bowel syndrome. Bleeding out of my ass and extreme abdominal pain. At first it would only happen while the tab was moving through my guts. Now it's 24/7 and a nightmare. I'd recommend leaving it on the tongue.

Absolutely not.

In my own experience, it usually takes a bit longer when i swallow it, and the "going from sober to trippy" are usually going a little bit slower, and it ain't really suprised when it hits. (lets base this on 150ug. this would have taken an hour for me swallowing.)

I usually put it on my tounge though, and when i first feel the comeup, things are going fast, and i'm thrown into the triptrain without even noticing it. (Usually 30 mins until the surfaces of things would be a little bit smoother, and lightbody, butterflies in stomach ish. And it usually hits at 45)

Theres really no answer to it, though. I know a few people that have to wait an hour or two with the same dosage.

He told you that he couldn't see? Was this while it happened, or after the trip was done?

If he really couldn't see, and he disappeared from reality, he wouldn't stand a chance to say a single word in a few hours atleast. He would be totally zoned out. So if he told you; "Man i can t see!" then its probably wrong, cause when you get this deep, you usually forget the start of the sentence when you've come to the 2nd or 3rd word hahah =D. Ego dissolve is crazy breh

If you ever think the LSD you got might not be lsd, swallow it. The effects are virtually the same, only with a slightly longer onset if swollowing. NBOME's die when they start to digest so best case scenerio you trip, worst case you don't and you potentially saved yourself a lot of trouble.

My go to method is start off with it under my tongue or between my front gums and mouth if I'm talking to people, and leave it for 10 minutes. I chew on it probably because of my chewing gum obsession but I dont think it really matters. One of my trip buddies always swallows his because one time he got a papercut on his tongue with a tab. Just get the lucy in ya and have a good time!!

I think he's over exaggerating. Even when shot up it takes longer than that. You'll get excited maybe. Shit I've had it take almost 2 hrs before I started noticing the effects.

Interesting. I have been swallowing my blotters because the nbome series is orally inactive (sublingually active) so just in case. this wouldn't prevent dox compounds from being active or close LSD analogues, but NBOMEs are the main ones i'm tryin to avoid. I also let it sit to taste it BRIEFLY (so i try not to absorb much in case) and if it tasted like anything I'd spit it out. I think oral lsd might have a very slightly lower bioavailability but still high.
