Package says delivered but I never got it?

Had a pack two weeks late vendor finnaly gave me tracking today says delivered to po box but obviously I never got anything no yellow slip or key should I go in with tracking number in hand? Trying to have some deniability maybe say it popped up on my usps my choice anyone ever have this happen?

Update***

Called usps couldn't even get ahold of a real person got so pissed off that I said fuck it if I go to jail I'm cool with it and walked my ass down to the post office told the post clerk that I had a missing package that was supposed to be delivered two weeks ago I gave him my box number and last name I sat there as I waited for the cops to swarm me but all that happened was he came back around the corner and said hey look I found it sitting right on the shelf right where it's not suppose to be

Problem with P.O boxes is the dumb employee putting the package/slip in the wrong box.

I've had to show the tracking number and get them to double check.

Obviously it's a little sketch. Who knows if that's what has happened to you.

I'm a lot less worried about being charged with a crime than the typical person. So i'm not scared to look into a missing package.

Same thing happened to me. In the end it ended up being the tracking number that was for a pack that came a month later. The vendor never shipped the one I was waiting for. Neither me, him, nor the post office realized the delivery date was a month earlier, I'm assuming we all just looked at the day of the month, which was the exact same, and not the month itself.

ANYWAY, the post office was super helpful. I found the number of my LOCAL post office that actually handles the package, not the 800 support number on their site, that's useless...

When I called, I said I sell things on eBay, and I said my buyer claimed to never have got it even though it said delivered. I asked if they could tell what address it was delivered at, and they were not able to tell me what was on the label, but they did look up very precise GPS coordinates from when it was scanned on delivery, and told me the exact address of the house it was left at.

In the end none of that mattered because the tracking was for an old pack that was actually delivered, but what I'm saying is you could try calling them. Pretend to be the shipper or something. Maybe use a fake/disguised/burner number They may be able to help you somehow, although it may be harder with a box.

This has happened to me with my po box several of times. The next day I got my package. Usually it gets scanned at the po but either due to time constraints or understaffing it doesn't reach the box that same day. Wait until late tomorrow to check at the box. If it ain't there the next day, then I would ask whatever postal worker that's there. IME, they're really helpful
