Electrum transaction pending for over 48 hours.

My transfer from Electrum to AB has been pending for over 48 hours. I have tried switching the servers but still at 0 confirmations. Im starting to grow impatient, what can I do to fix this?

This happened to me about 2 weeks ago and drove me insane (It sat for 100 hrs). If you have electrum set up where you can resend with a higher transaction fee that will speed you up. You can also try putting your TX into a site like https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ which eventually worked for me. Now I send with higher transaction fees and they go through in 30-1hr

If you are operating on the "old" electrum wallet as in NOT the "2.7.9" release the auto fee is too low. Hope this help and good luck!!!

Send another transaction from the same wallet with a really really high fee. Like 0.002 or something. It'll push the first transaction through.

.0009 fees and it'll go through in like 20 minutes tops from what I've experienced

I'm trying to understand some of the advice in these comments. Step by step, what is the correct way to increase the fee of a Electrum transaction that has already been sent, i.e. is still in process? I am waiting 24 hours for a transaction using .09 mBTC/kb (90 satos / byte). Under preferences, I see options for "enable replace-by-fee". Is that relevant? I can't understand how sending another payment using a higher fee would speed up a previous payment. Does it retroactively charge more for the previous payment? Because if not, that hack would be too good to be true.
