Blotter paper absorption musings

From a purely hypothetical standpoint, do you guys think that one section of full page of blotter absorbs a higher concentration of LSD than another section while being laid? For instance do you think that the center picks up more or do the corners suck up more? I've wondered...

Not likely. When your tabs are soaked and no solution remains pooled on top, the soakédness ensures that all of your LSD/drug is distributed evenly. Each tab should hold around the same amount of liquid at this moment.

Just make sure the tabs don't "warp", which may cause solution to concentrate at the center of the sheet.

There's a lot of variables that effect the absorption of liquid to blotter paper. May include but not limited to: level, amounts of liquid, solvent, level of saturation and more

Not if everything is done properly.

Considering that lsd is very dilute in the solution you are using and assuming the paper itself is completely uniform there should be almost no variation at the macroscopic level. However, in the regions of the paper that are not like the bulk (i.e. the edges) there may be some small effect.

[1 Points] mantisman7:

Unlikely as blotter paper uses capillary action and its quite accurate in even distribution throughout the tab.

Possibly depending on method. If pipette method was used, each tab could be different from its adjacent counterpart.

If using the dip-and-dry method, whole regions of paper could be stronger. Because you dip the page in solution, let it momentarily hang to dry, then lay flat to dry. You must wait several minutes for the dripping to subside before the drying process but some people just do a quick dry which leaves pools or hot spots over larger areas of the page.

No large difference though.

This is why, IMHO, it's best to lay a decent amount at once. Then put the left over solution into a vial. Perhaps this is why they are called head vials? Just speculation of course...

Wouldn't make much of a difference since LSD drops are often pipetted not dipped onto a solution. Unless the person who lays' line pipette is broken or they don't know how to lay the LSD will be 98% throughout the sheet (implying correct procedures).
