I think a vendor tried to phish me... I need your help/advice guys

Long time lurker, first time poster.

So i'll try to make this as short as possible. I ordered an half ounce of weed on AlphaBay from a Canadian vendor(which I won't name now because I hope we will find a solution) and everything seems to be fine. He tells me after 24hours that the order has been shipped and that he will give me the tracking number the next day. Perfect.

24 hours later, I get two messages from the vendor. In the first one, he tells me this: '' Hey mate sorry for the delay, we had an issue formatting your address and we would like to know if you could reupload it to this free listing here:

he inserted a link here

We will overnight it for your troubles. ''

-- Later, he will send me a second message telling me this--:

'' Going out of business final free gifts, free gifts for past customers:

Insert link here

It's been great while it lasted peeps ''

So now I know that he pretty much tried to phish me. I responded telling that I'm willing to re-send my address with the message system of AlphaBay but that I'll never log in to any links he sent me.

Should I dispute this order asap?

Thanks to anyone who will take the time to answer :)

EDIT: /u/Trappy_Pandora Yes it is GoldCanada.

To those who were wondering, I didnt FE and confronted the vendor about it. Afterward, I disputed him and he canceled the order so I got my coins back !

First off, you should name that fucker so we all know who it is, and to avoid them. Second off, hope you didn't FE. If your money is still in escrow, I'd definitely contact Ab support and just copy the message that he sent you to them. Maybe they'll be able to get your $$ back.

Good on you for not clicking on those phishing links

You should cancel your order immediately if you can, and NAME THE VENDOR. You'll be doing a great service for all of us.

Dear Market Admins,

Create an additional function in your messaging system that converts any string containing 16 characters, followed by '.onion', into your own onion URL, retaining any trailing characters. This way, so long as you've no CSRF vulns, your users aren't as susceptible to phishing attempts. This seems like it should be common sense, and I know for a fact that it wouldn't require much code at all.

Sincerely,

/u/ErraticWire

I'm pretty sure it's GoldCanada, but you should name the vendor so we can avoid his shit.

[2 Points] DnmAvenger:

Did you check the link to see if it was the correct onion? If it is a legit address that kinda nullifies your statement, but this does sound phishy to me.... heehee...

Is this gold Canada or something like that? He's been a busy vendor sending out the phishing links. Did you enter your credentials? Hopefully not.

[1 Points] rappercake:

What was the link? If it wasn't privnote or something similar, I'd just dispute it or ask to cancel the order.

[1 Points] Trappy_Pandora:

/u/longtimelurker45 is it Goldcanada like other users have been naming?

I need a name to give to the admins.
