UPDATE: from poor soul who sent a $400+ transaction fee and attempted to get it back

the miners support team led me in circles, just to pretty much shrug their shoulders and say "bad luck" at the end.

lesson here is if you send too high of a fee. its probably gone. i got messeges from plenty of people wanting to know what happened so i thought i would update.

edit: i just assumed everyone die hard reads this sub like i do and remembered the post hehe. should of added some context. A couple weeks ago i sent a high transaction fee somehow through electrum i still dont know how i never changed my settings. electrum did not consider it a bug. i attempted to get the btc back by contacting the mining company who did the block. a bit of people messeged wanting to know how it went.

Wow. That’s really unreasonable. Any decent person would see that it was a mistake and help out.

ya it was stolen. i could of put some more attention to it and pressed the issue more and im sure the miners would of did the right thing, it's a big company but for ospec reason i didnt want anymore attention drawn to that transaction itself. who know's who is paying attention. it was only a $800 transaction but losing half of that sure was a heart break. just letting the sub know.
