new po box

ok guys so i just finally set up a po box. i usually have packs sent to my physical address but for certain reasons i needed a po box. I guess im just looking for opinions on what my first test pack should be. should i test with a gram of oil? or try a grinder or something like that? my po box is one of the small ones so i guess it makes me nervous.

The conventional wisdom is that you should "season" a new PO Box. Subscribe to junk mail or what not to get flow through it. How much good this does is up for debate IMO. I don't think its at all suspicious to open a PO Box and get mail to it (novel concept, yes). I tend to believe that most mail is intercepted before the "last mile." Does the post office where you got your PO Box have those lockers? If so, then they'll just stick packs that are too big in there and drop a key in your POBox for you to use. That way you don't need to interact with staff. One thing I seem to remember hearing but don't know the validity of it is that if you get packs that don't fit too often, they won't use the lockers - they want you to buy the larger PO box and not buy the cheapest and actually need something bigger. Just something to think about.

Otherwise, you'll be interacting with PO staff should a pack be too large. Probably the biggest snafu on PO Boxes is not using the right address. Always verify the full address of your new PO Box, including zip code. Sometimes the zip isn't what you think it will be.

Why not get a few freebies sent there? Just some junk mail at first. Then try a small about of drugs, maybe little bit of weed. Then as you build up your confidence just order what you usually would.

I got one recently and got some freebies just to season it a little and see if the 4 digit zip was correct, but in the end I felt like it was a waste of time. I continue to get mail from previous owners of the box, and not just like 1 or 2 like 5 and 6 completely different names or companies.

They aren't paying attention at all in there, just looking at the number and tossing a pack in there or the slip to pick up at the front desk. If you're getting personal amounts a PO box is fine imo.

Do what everyone else said and get junk mail. Whenever I changed addresses I checked with a book I wanted to read off Amazon.

Also if the package is too big to fit in the box they will leave a note in it and you can pick it up at the front desk. Kinda sketchy I know but after it happened to me a couple of times I quit worrying. If the stealth is good enough it won't matter, plus if you were going to get caught it wouldn't matter about having to pick it up at the desk.

I never signed up for junk mail, because, fuck that bullshit...

While I was conscious that I should have some clearnet packs,

The first few packs to cross over were certainly from the darknet.

Now, I've mixed it up with a few Amazon/eBay orders within reason.

The only snafu is that Amazon, etc. requires a street address vs PO...

Not a problem because I signed up for that feature when I had registered.

However, I think it could be sketch that only a few packages use that format.

However, knock-on-wood I haven't got a CD, yet. I've got a pack at customs..

Praying to the living deity that I wake up tomorrow with a tracking update. Eeek!

Buy a few small items in individual transactions on Amazon using your free trial of Amazon Prime.

I recently opened a PO BOX and had a few various tools sent to me individually by Amazon (prime). Also ordered a few catalogs and such just to mix it up.
