so i know this may not be the right place to ask, but i know this community to be quite knowledgeable so i'm here for your guys help. so here's my story. on thursday i was on my way home from martial arts practice, minding my own buisness. all off the sudden, i am boxed in by undercovers and i have 6 guns to the back of my and my mothers head. after being taken to the station i come to figure out someone has used some of my pictures on social media to commit an armed robbery under my name. after being released when the cops realized it couldn't have been me since i was in jiu jitsu from 6-8 and the crime occured around 7, they told me they were keeping my phone. no longer than a week. now this is where my real questions start. what can and can't they go through when they go through my phone? i think they only wanted to see my facebook app but could anything really stop them from snooping further? i'm not concerned about this robbery as it was not me, but i am concerned about them going through my messages or other social media. ive deleted as much incriminating info as possible from my twitter but my texts are right there for them to see. i can't get in trouble for anything drug/drug dealing related as long as i've cleaned house right? the story really isn't important it's just these few questions running in my head. thank you for any help.
Get a lawyer. The police can view everything on your phone.
