Hiring so many christmas casuals cannot be good for DNMs, can it?

Don't think it will be a problem at all, they do it every year as they expect a lot more letters and packages over the Christmas period. Might even make it better with more for them to sort they will be rushing more not paying much attention to everything.

[7 Points] CommodoreCatfish:

It means that the plebs working at the depots are far less likely than usual to give a shit about all the drugs they're handling.

[3 Points] emandy:

I've applied to two of the jobs near me, if people on the DNM forums applied and managed to get jobs it'd be cool to find out the ins and outs of the postal system

[2 Points] CheekyDive:

They do this every year and have done for many years now. What about it is bad for DNM's?

[2 Points] None:

It's bad in the sense that some packs will probably get mis-delivered more than usual. Other than that I don't see it being a problem.

Oh yeah, how could hiring hundreds of underpaid, undertrained, undermotivated and overworked interns be good for someone that relies on the inattention and capacity to overlook the suspicious of these people?

It'd be like if border patrol decided to get hundreds of temp drug sniffing pugs, except they aren't trained and just call out everything that vaguely smells of sausage , we'd be royally (mail) fucked.

[1 Points] coffeencreme:

Nah it's fine, they do it every year at this time. It's because of the increase in mail due to Christmas....and most of the people who take the jobs are underpaid, unexperienced, students and the like who are doing it for extra cash for Christmas. I'm certain they don't care what's in your letter.

I wouldn't care what was in the letter if I worked there either.

[1 Points] Hank_Vendor:

it happens every year. and the only increased risk to your package is the risk of one of the sticky fingered bastards pinching it.

[1 Points] jtemps92:

Royal Mail always takes on shit loads of people at Christmas, don't worry.

Knew it...

Pack goes MIA when the temps starts. For fuck sake.
