my bitcoin vanished into thin air

was attemting to transfer btc from my localbitcoin wallet to my electrum wallet and i got the recieving address perfect but my electrum shows no new incoming amounts and its no longer in my localbit wallet either and it has been well over 14 hours since so now my 600 dollars worth of btc is just gone?

cryptocurrency is not tangible so it can't just disappear. they use blockchain so you can always check the address to see where it is/went. Use the blockchain to check the addresses and see if it's moved. If it has, then your electrum has not synched.

Have you looked on the blockchain to see where it went? Most local wallets have a little "view on blockchain" option.. Or you can just manually search using the address.

Look for the transaction on blockchain.info and see if you can figure out where it went.

Have you restarted Electrum? Is it a new version?

if you got everything right use like you said, find and use the tx ID and try to find your tx in mempool, maybe fee was too low
