[OPSEC/Computer] Home address vs. PO box?

Considering making my first DNM purchase soon... for personal reasons, it's not a good idea for me to make an order to my home address, so I am considering renting a PO box in my name. Is it any more risky to get packs sent to a PO box in your real name versus getting them sent to your home address in your name? Most likely only DNM purchases would be getting sent there, maybe a few occasional clearnet legit packs. There wouldn't be a ton of packs coming in though, maybe 1-2 a month.

PO boxes offer no plausible deniability.

Darknet packages look really normal scattered into normal mail but you really shouldnt get just darknet to an address because people WILL start to notice, it should be mixed in with as much normal mail as possible. Look at how much of your mail actually still has stamps on it vs. how much is postage paid these days and you'll see what I mean. No one gets just personal mail, if they do thats weird.

Seriously I know people that get mail literally every day to their homes with no problem. Dont over do it. Sometimes, overdoing it can give you away a lot faster.

I always got one when i lived with other people. While my housemates never said anything, it just feels safer to not have a pack coming in every week.

i also liked the PO box lobbies that i had where they were open 24hrs so i could pick up after hours.

make sure you get a box big enough, otherwise youll get notes saying to see the counter to pick up your package. the first one made me pause, and then when they told me that it didnt fit, i breathed a huge sigh of relief. this also makes the 24 hr po lobby pointless and inconvenient

I've always thought a house was better. When you go to a PO box to pickup your package, there is really no way to deny that it is not yours.

And a lot of times, the packages don't fit in the little boxes and you have to go to the counter to request them. Of course, that depends on what you're buying.

Tippyjo, that's what makes me nervous is not being able to claim I didn't order the shit. It's very unlikely someone is going to try to target me by sending something to my PO box, so that defense wouldn't work.

And good call on getting a decent sized box. I'd rather be able to pickup during off hours.

I had to get a po box because my mail is always missing/late and I have an So with no idea of my darknet dealings. Although it was a bit unnerving picking up at the po box the first few times, it's worked out so far. I live in an apartment complex and have had ups/FedEx leave packages outside in the open where anyone could take them (one package contained an 800$ laptop), so I also have the excuse of using the post office to hold my larger packages so they don't get stolen. There's less deniability with po box but in my experience, if the police want to arrest you they will find a way, whether you accept package or not.
