The PO Gets Physical (Addresses)

For folks who have a PO Box I'm dropping a friendly PSA to let everyone know that some POs will also give you a physical address which you can use should you have a vendor who doesn't ship to PO Boxes for some reason or if you need a physical address for document forging etc.

First see if your PO is on this list https://ribbs.usps.gov/mtcsa/documents/tech_guides/mtcsa.txt Use ctrl+f and look for your PO Box zip code

If your ZIP code is on the list then bring this form https://ribbs.usps.gov/mtcsa/documents/tech_guides/PBSACustomerAgreement.pdf completed to the PO. The service isn't well established so they may look at you funny at first but should be able to figure it out.

Once that's all set send a few tests to your new physical address and you should be good to go.

Work around: Where I live, actual post office boxes, at the post office, are not legal residences. But ALL other mail boxes are treated as real estate and can be claimed as a residence anywhere in the United States. Mail Boxes Etc., for example. Some grocery stores offer mail boxes.

I've used them many times for legal business addresses. Retired people commonly use them when traveling.

So it's a physical address. That leads to a PO Box. So it's a physical address that entails the same amount of risk as a PO Box entails?

The formatting is atrocious, but it's something. For best results, copy/paste into a text editor.

I get an "access denied" error when trying to access mtcsa.txt. Anyone got a pastebin version or so? Thanks!

EDIT: tried running curl -v https://ribbs.usps.gov/mtcsa/documents/tech_guides/mtcsa.txt and got a HTTP 301 error.
