Long time lurker, first time poster.
So i'll try to make this as short as possible. I ordered an half ounce of weed on AlphaBay from a Canadian vendor(which I won't name now because I hope we will find a solution) and everything seems to be fine. He tells me after 24hours that the order has been shipped and that he will give me the tracking number the next day. Perfect.
24 hours later, I get two messages from the vendor. In the first one, he tells me this: '' Hey mate sorry for the delay, we had an issue formatting your address and we would like to know if you could reupload it to this free listing here:
he inserted a link here
We will overnight it for your troubles. ''
-- Later, he will send me a second message telling me this--:
'' Going out of business final free gifts, free gifts for past customers:
Insert link here
It's been great while it lasted peeps ''
So now I know that he pretty much tried to phish me. I responded telling that I'm willing to re-send my address with the message system of AlphaBay but that I'll never log in to any links he sent me.
Should I dispute this order asap?
Thanks to anyone who will take the time to answer :)
EDIT: /u/Trappy_Pandora Yes it is GoldCanada.
To those who were wondering, I didnt FE and confronted the vendor about it. Afterward, I disputed him and he canceled the order so I got my coins back !
First off, you should name that fucker so we all know who it is, and to avoid them. Second off, hope you didn't FE. If your money is still in escrow, I'd definitely contact Ab support and just copy the message that he sent you to them. Maybe they'll be able to get your $$ back.
Good on you for not clicking on those phishing links
