[Vendor Review] Liberty X Bitcoin

If you don't know about Liberty X for getting bitcoin, or you are getting raped by LBC fees, check them out. You basically find a convenience store/computer shop that is near you that transacts with Liberty X (or "Q-Pay) -- there's lots of them -- give the cashier cash, and get a pin code. You then login to the system, redeem the pin, and BTC is automatically sent to your address. The downside is that you can't get an exact amount -- you must buy them in $50, $100, $200 or $300 increments. But, until you've transacted $1000, there is NO FEE, (then it's 1%, I think) and the BTC is sold at the market rate. Good shit.

Hah, I live in a top 20 metro area, and the nearest location is 50 miles away in the absolute middle of nowhere.

USA only....I hate that shit.

I like that you get the value BTC once you redeem your pin, not it's value when you bought the pin. While BTC may rise between purchase and redemption, it protects against drops in value. Given the way BTC has dropped recently, I find that to be neat.

Definitely can vouch for LibertyX also. Very quick and painless, no fees, and no verification bs either.

The bitcoin community needs a reverse LibertyX ... a machine where you can send BTC and receive cash back. I'm aware there are so-called "two way Bitcoin ATMs", but they're incredibly rare.
