These postal workers may be responsible for some of your "lost packs"

TULSA, Oklahoma -

Two postal employees are accused of stealing drugs being sent through the mail.

The investigation started months ago and ended with three arrests.

Laura Campbell and her husband David Watters live in a house near Tiawhah.

Court documents show Campbell is a supervisor at the mail processing plant in Tulsa. They also say she and a coworker are accused of taking drugs out of packages and selling them.

Investigators said a warrant at the home turned up 13 pounds of marijuana, a half-pound of cocaine, 304 ecstasy tablets and 152 hydrocodone pills, along with meth and five guns.

They also served a warrant Derek Miller's home in Tulsa where they said they found 25 pounds of pot and some cash. Miller was arrested for trafficking

Documents say he works at the mail processing plant in Tulsa with Campbell.

Documents say agents did surveillance on Miller and Campbell at work and saw Miller remove packages and take them to Campbell's office while she acted as a lookout.

They say Miller removed items from the packages and took them to his car in the parking lot.

Investigators say just people can develop a pretty good sense for which packages might contain drugs.

"Through experience and time, people would learn to separate those packages from other legitimate mail. They learn where it was sent from, maybe where it was sent to, and learn to distinguish what had potential to have narcotics in it and what didn't," said Rogers County DA investigator Wayne Stinnett.

This was a joint investigation involving several agencies.

Campbell and Watters were booked on 11 counts each. Right now, they are looking at state charges of drug trafficking. If they get charged with any mail theft that would be handled in federal court.

There's no way they stole what was in their house though right? Has to be separate otherwise that's impressive if so. 13 pounds of marijuana, a half-pound of cocaine, 304 ecstasy tablets and 152 hydrocodone pills.

WOw. The fear of being caught has kept me from ordering anything. I've been really close to doing so. This makes it sound like lottery odds where getting caught is going to happen. This has me really wondering how everyone is able to get by without being caught.
