Hey /r/DarkNetMarkets, it is time for Moronic Monday!
Post your questions here - stupid or otherwise - to get an answer. Anyone can post a question and the community as a whole is invited and encouraged to provide an answer. Many questions get submitted late each week that don't get a lot of action, so if your question didn't get answered before, feel free to post it again.
If you are a noob, check out our comprehensive FAQ; it is essentially a guide for buying from a DarkNet Market. You may also find it helpful to take a look at our informative community posts, which are full of valuable information and tips.
We do ask that you refrain from abusing noobs in this thread. Remember that everyone had to start somewhere.
Also, please refrain from asking sourcing questions or vendor recommendations in this thread. Those posts will be removed.
P.S. Check out /r/DarkNetMarketsNoobs, where it is Moronic Monday everyday!
I often see people build very long chains to use mondero safely, routing everything through tor and what not. Is that actually necessary?
From what I read it sounds like you just buy the Monero in a non-anonymous way, send them to a wallet that you can just run on windows connected straight to the internet, then wait a bit, and then send the coins to whoever you're paying. I guess the tails is for people who don't trust windows with anything, period. But I don't understand what the point of using tor at any point is. Is it just to circumvent the ISP? Seems very much overkill for a casual user, though vendors who have their own setup anyway might as well do it?
Am I misunderstanding anything?
