[Complaint/Warning] Two Dutch (or German) busted in the last 30 days.

On 6 Feb the Dutch police busted a Dutch resident living on a small border town and are accusing him of being a Darknet vendor. Seems like he wasn't just a small fish because they seized quite a large sum in cash and Bitcoin and several of his private assets. Considering the German police is also involved it is very possible that he was a German vendor. There is no physical border in that town, you can just walk a couple of blocks and throw something in the German mailbox:

On 9 March the police raided a large weed grow operation and busted several people. Through their investigation they also found out that one of the suspects in custody had exchanged around 440k EUR of BTC into cash. The money was split between two people. Both of them are being investigated for being Darknet vendors now.

Does this ring any bells? Any vendors from NL that have been dissapearing? I wonder which vendor is so stupid to exchange close to a half million of BTC into cash and leave behind obvious traces.

I fucked up in the title. It should be:

Two Dutch (or German) vendors busted in the last month.

But Bailey distracted me, please excuse me.

It seems like this sub lacks Dutch people, since there have been a lot of Dutch busts in 2014 which never where reported in this sub. It is no reason to worry though, 9 out of 10 busts in NL come from vendors fucking up something besides vending and draw police attention to their vending. It also doesn't help that the Dutch police seems to be the most educated when it comes to Bitcoin. I have seen plenty of police seminars being held on Cryptocurrency in the last 2 years.

Fuuuuuccccckkkkk. Hollands-Best just got put under investigation on agora. I wonder if it is related.

I was looking at hollands-best reviews and a saw a custom order for $80,000 usd, which has to be FE. So yeah he might have that kind of cash laying around.

Edit: Thinking about this a little more, everything in that article fits with Hollands-Best. He was a dutch vendor who had a second operation going on in germany. He dealt in large orders, and it is very plausible that he had that kind of capital. And he was using a 2048 bit key, so obviously not that bright...

Edit 2: Hollands-Best messaged me on March 10th asking me to FE, so I'm really not sure on this one.

Hi, german here living near the border.

First of I want to start saying that busting grow operations is a daily buisness here, we are talking about a 80% clearance rate for drug related crimes in my state. So the second bust I would just list under nothing special.

But Im seeing a increase of police awarness since operation onymous, up to that point the german LE made a point of activly ignoring everything dark net related to not drive up crime rates higher than they have to be, because we are in an election year. Now it seems that pressure from the US changed that.

But in any case, the border between the netherlands and germany always has been the constantinople of the intereuropean drug trade and combined LE operations had been shuting down smugglers there for almost a decade. It's about as smart as selling near the mexican border...

I haven't seen it on the news or in a newspaper but I will have a look around. It wasn't major news as far as I know.
