My apartment won't let me use Tor when using Tails. What can I do?

So my apartment complex that I've just moved into has WiFi that you have to log into if you're using an unknown device. So when I boot up Tails and connect to the WiFi, I have to log in every time. And even when I do log in, Tails says I'm connected to the Tor Network, but Tor won't load any websites. So it's starting to look like I may not be able to use Tails with my apartment's internet.

What options do I have if I still wanna buy off DNMs? Is it safe enough to use public wifi (coffee shop, library, etc.) with Tails? Does anyone have experience with accessing DNMs from public hotspots? Are there other courses of action that I'm simply not considering? What can I do here, folks?

One word: VPN.

You could start by buying your own fucking internet modem

I would try to start Tails in Livesafe mode. That might do it.

Try disabling MAC spoofing:

Boot Tails.

More options? > Yes

Hit Forward.

Click on "Spoof all MAC addresses" to deselect it.

Hit Login.

So wait you're using unencrypted wifi with some kind of a login page/MAC filter? You could login then spoof a mac, create your own bridge to the network or the best solution would be to get a private connection however possible..

I think I know what your problem is, most likely your Apartment complex using DNS forwarding in which blocks the traffic. Go ahead and edit your network adapter inside of tails to route your DNS traffic to 4.2.2.2 and 8.8.8.8 that should solve your problem. In normal speak, edit the DNS server on your network adapter.

I think this is why TAILs has the unsafe internet browser. use that for the wifi portal?

Here's an idea: If you or a friend has a phone start a hotspot and connect your pc to it. It'll probably be slow but for this it doesn't really matter.

Get a shell. Load openvpn. Configure for DNS tunneling.
