If by NC you mean North Carolina, I would say that they probably are just saying that to scare people off but ofc I am not for sure. Just dont be a dumbass and you'll probs be fine

Politicians can pass any legislation they want to, enforcing it is a different matter. Bitcoins work because they are "traced", by keeping a record of all of their transactions in a block chain. Passing a law doesn't change anything, and it's still as safe as before.

Link to that bill? As long as you're using a reliable tumbler I don't think it'd be a problem.

You will likely see some difficulty in maintaining anonymity, but it won't be impossible.

I read a few articles about this and it looks, generally, bad for those of us looking for anonymity, but good for the companies that are trying to bring BTC (and other crypto) mainstream.

Why would it ever be impossible? Does this bill make it illegal for two private individuals to exchange currencies?

i am not sure how you buy your bitcoin but you shouldn't have any problems buying bitcoin to use on the deep web. the North Carolina Money Transmitters Act seems to really only apply to financial institutions or people/business that offer virtual currency transmission services. basically these types of services now require special licensing, so if you where buying your bitcoin locally from a business or exchange than more likely you will still be able to. i am not sure about using the local bitcoins site and buying from someone in cash ? i think that might be considered transmitting and would require the individual to have license ? given the nature of bitcoin i am pretty sure you could still find people to buy coins for cash on local bitcoin but i would be careful if you are buying or selling to a fed ? if you use a service like libertyX or whatever they would need to obtain a license to offer those services in NC. there are lots o exemptions for miners, bitcoin 2.0 and non financial uses of digital currency transmission so you are pretty much all good man. i mean if you couldn't buy bitcoin your exchange would not let you. i wouldn't worry about the tracking software buy the time that bitcoin ever gets turned back into cash it will more than likely be mixed an have a super low taint percentage. if you are worried about it just check out your transactions taint percentage on blockchain

What is this?

Worst case scenario, start finding online stores that accept BTC as payment, so you can always have some sort of legitimate reasons to be purchasing BTC.. just make sure you tumble in to the markets, I read it elsewhere today, but 3% fee is worth the extra "OSPEC"

Buying Bitcoin can not be controlled.
