Placed order with tiny mistake in ZIP code

I made an order a little while ago for something that should come in an envelope, and about twenty minutes later I realized that I'd sent a ZIP with one incorrect digit. All of the other information is correct. I checked the ZIP I sent, and apparently it doesn't exist, so it should be immediately apparent that there's a mistake. Is it reasonable to hope that the post office will catch the mistake and get it to me without a huge delay?

EDIT: For what it's worth, the vendor marked it shipped pretty much right after I made the order. I sent him a message but he still hasn't gotten back to me so I'm worried that he might have actually shipped it.

Zips just make processing quicker.. IME your package will definitely get to you even with the wrong zip or no zip. Assuming city state street are all clear and valid

Have you ordered from them before? If they print out labels it will tell them there is an error. If not, they will catch it if he takes it inside. If he just drops it off I'm not so sure.

It will bounce around between sorting facilities for a couple days until someone corrects it. Not ideal but don't freak

itll should be fine. a couple weeks ago i had a vendor send me package with a handwritten label and he spelled my city wrong by like 3 letters , and i still got that all OK and on time.

It should be fine. I don't live in the US but postcodes are the same theory (except they belong to a street rather than an area) and I've received stuff with just the first few letters/numbers of it or no postcode at all.

as long as all the other info was correct you're probably gonna be ok. Don't be surprised if it doesn't show though.
