Am I getting my money back from agora?

So since I'm an idiot I decided to send some btc into my agora account before they closed for repairs. Because Im dumb I didn't see the message they put up telling me not to do that. So the transaction went through from my wallet, but it still didn't show up on my agora account and then the site went down. Am I going to get my money back? Where is it now?

Your coin is sitting right at that wallet. When agora went offline or even before the site did, the daemon wasn't running. Thus the internal accounting mechanism wasn't being updated. This is responsible for reflecting your wallet balance. Coins never disappear. They can become inaccessible since you don't control the private keys to agora wallet. If they never come back they'll either take the coin or it'll remain there for all eternity. If they do, they'll run their daemon, it'll pick up that transaction and your account will be credited. People often confuse BTC mechanisms with accounting on top of BTC that sites provide.

If Agora comes back you should get it. Do you know the wallet address you sent it to? If so you can tell if the transfer completed right here>>> https://blockchainbdgpzk.onion/

Didn't you know it was going offline?

The admins of Agora have enough money to retire, whilst sending their kids to Eton and then OxBridge, why would they come back

Unfortunately it seems your coin is gone for now. Assuming Agora comes back up it might show up in your account. But that's gonna be while, sorry. How much money did you send?

Sounds like your not getting the coin back till they open back up. Cause there's nobody you can even contact to help you with this.. At least when they open back up you log on to your account and you will be able to get some free drugs.

I hope it wasn't much, but i wouldn't feel too bad giving my money to agora after all they have done. Think of it as a donation for keeping everyone safe from LE.
