Im a vendor and I sent a package without postage. What will happen to it?

I came home after I made todays shipments and realized one was sent without postage. There is a fake return address. It will go to the dead mail office. USPS will then open the package...then what?

It was a 5 xtc pills.

EDIT: Reading this: http://www.ehow.com/info_8180516_happens-undeliverable-usps-mail.html

The post office sends some of its dead mail to the USPS Mail Recovery Center in Atlanta, Georgia. An exception exists for standard mail, which you might use to send out flyers or other bulk mail and which carries a lower postage rate. The USPS won't send first class mail postcards to the MRC.

I would be more worried if I was the person whose name is on the package. You need to tell them that you fucked up so they can clean house. Yeah it was a small amount but that is the right thing to do.

Assuming you had decent opsec you should be fine. Just curious, how long have you been vending?

Tell your customer to burn his address...

Tell the customer...they will deliver most likely and ask for the shipping before sending away..it happened a lot when the raised stamp prices..they will.have to.go.to the PO

Please have the decency to alert the customer!

You could do to the post office it will be sorted through and explain the situation and offer to add the postage to it if you remember the return address you used. VERY risky. But might just turn this big problem into no problem if it works

Ive actually received a priority envelope once with no stamp. It blew my mind and I thought it was a CD or something. No idea how it slipped through.
