Tails + tor vs whonix + tor

What are the main differences? Is one better than the other for opsec?

They both have advantages over the other.

Qubes/Whonix is probably harder to hack remotely as it doesn't know it's own IP. If you're deanonymised your ip is still not given up as the OS is sandboxes from the network services. But if LE comes knocking on your door and gets physical access to the machine it's hard to see them not gaining access to everything eventually even if that means forcing you to give up your passwords (unless you're using plausible deniability volume encryption I guess).

Tails is more vulnerable to a deanon attack through TOR as it knows it's own IP (still very unlikely). It's easier to hide (put it on a microsd card in a USB reader and you could swallow it in a second). It's easier to pick up quickly and runs on more hardware.

TBH either will do fine.
