[Question] So... WTF should I think of this....

Long story short, a few days before the shit hit the fan I had made an order on Hansa and I had actually gotten tracking on it the day before the site went down.

Checking on the tracking, I noticed a weird stop in a different area of the country (in USA), and then was sent to my place, but ended up in the apartment complex's office. I was too sketched out to do anything about it, but today I went over to the office to talk about something unrelated, and I was s told that there was a package for me.

I said OK and they wanted a signature... not much I could do to avoid that, so I did. I walk out and open up the box before I get to my place, and the box is just COMPLETELY EMPTY. I got rid of it and now I'm sitting here wondering WTF just happened.

I didn't deal with any postal workers, nobody showed up at my door, I didn't provide any ID to anyone, I didn't have drugs at any point from this incident. And of course I had manually PGP encrypted my address for this.

So can someone please give me an idea of what the fuck is happening? I'm obvious scared as shit but I don't know wtf is going on seeing as I straight up had an empty box sent to me that was likely not empty when it was first sent.

You probably were scammed by the vendor.

If you're worried about LE think about what a normal citizen would do. They would sign it wondering what they've been sent and find nothing there, a little confused would probably ask why they just got sent an empty parcel.

Most likely you were scammed and now you're paranoid. That was not a CD so you can relax. They asked you to sign because the office has to have a record of giving you the parcel. Most probably whatever they receive, is logged for safety reasons so that a worker won't steal.
