Second time ordering to this address. All previous orders (not this location) we've used the standard 2 day usps shipping but these past couple orders have gone out on a friday and we wanted them before monday so we paid the extra for one day shipping. Not smart I realize, and we're done with all that business, but what's done is done. The first order didn't get shipped till late friday and so they missed the one day and the regular mailman dropped it on monday. Signature was waived but the tracking says it was signed for by the mail man, no problem it still got delivered, though that was a little odd.
Second package went out around noon friday with one day shipping and signature waived. Well saturday comes and before noon I get notice that a usps van pulled in the drive but when no one answered the door he took the package and left. I assume the exception of the normal mail man was due to it being one day shipping but that was one thing that worried the person at the house. The same guy in the same van came back early in the afternoon (after he had delivered the rest of his packages?) and tried again to deliver it but once again left with the package when no one answered.
A couple things to mention; I was away from the computer for the time between deliveries but when I checked back later in the day the tracking said it was delivered the first time the guy came to the door and the signature was waived. I don't believe (but can't be sure) it was until sunday or monday that there was an updated estimated delivery date of monday on the tracker (while also still saying it had been delivered). Monday came and the normal mail came with no package or note saying anything about it. No one was home at the time the mail came so we don't know if they tried to knock again or not. Tuesday was a holiday so no mail.
After that wall of text I'll get back to the title. How fast can a CD be put together? With almost no possibility that the first order to this address was discovered, how likely is it that a package could've been dropped off at the post office, been discovered, and then LE put together everything for a warrant/CD in just under 24 hours? I feel like my concerns are warranted given the circumstances and I guess I'm more or less looking for outside opinions.
Pro-Tip: Nobody here knows.
Only thing that comes to mind is if you have a way to instruct them to leave the package in some location without identifying yourself. I vaguely remember UPS having that option, not sure about USPS..
