Baltic customs and how they detect packages

A documentary show here showed how they detect drug letters in live action. Basically they have all letters in different crates at a sorting center and then let out the sniffing dogs. The letters the dogs mark out go under xray and depending on the amount of substance they start a criminal case on bulk amounts, do background checks and stuff, then make actions based on that information. All the letters they showed were mylar bagged and vacuumed. So my conclusion is that European vendors need to start wiping their packages to get rid of smell from the letters . Pretty ineffective way I'd say to detect letters

They don't sort out the letters depending on countries and there are no risk countries. A decoy doesn't pay literally no role to get the package through, if dog smells something and marks out your letter then the xray will show your stuff on screen no matter how good is the decoy. All needed to get letters through is mylar bag, vacuum, good alcohol wipe and that's literally it. I wouldn't mind getting my stuff in between printer papers if the letter is smell proof, properly mylared and vacuumed. Only exception where decoy probably is needed is pills and rocky stuff

We have to wipe out all dogs, it's the only solution to this madness

Most vendors use alcohol wipe in their packing process. They should, either way...

Do you have a link to the documentary?

And I wonder if these dogs can detect LSD too?

So why does everyone think alcohol wiping works? Dogs sense of smell is ridiculous no amount of milar and vaccum seeling will prevent a few molecules from being detected outaide ths seal. Thats all it takes for an on point dog to flag it.

I saw a bit about Finnish customs working on international mail 1-2 months ago. I was TV-surfing while pretty baked and almost skipped the channel because "reality" shows are boring, but then they mentioned mail order drugs and I had to see more.

The process at Helsinki international mail centre was to have a dog sniff several containers with lots of mail. If the dog marked a container, all its mail would go to an X-ray machine for a closer examination. Then they find what they can find and they did not talk about needing warrant or court order. Also, they took out every mail with DVD cases, because it is so common decoy.

Some packs like Viagra type mail they also recognise and confiscate at once, because there is so much of that stuff coming. Don't remember anymore about it, it was long time ago and I was smoking weed, which is not good on my memory.
