LBC wants ID?

I've ordered bitcoin through LBC multiple times. I recently read a post here about how LBC was asking for ID-verification to "prevent fraud".

I'm really nervous to make a large deposit today. I'm scared I'll get home and they'll want my ID. And I won't comply, losing hundreds in the process.

Is this really a risk now?

There's an important phrase that we use here, and think it's time that you all learned it. Act as if. You understand what that means? Act as if you are the fucking President of this firm. Act as if you got a 9" cock. Okay? Act as if.

Vendor asking? Or LBC? I've heard of a vendor here and there asking for ID, never heard of LBC tho. bought bitcoin there for some online poker the other day.

It's not LBC as a whole it's specific vendors who have decided they don't want to be accountable for BTC scams and frauds. There are plenty however who openly advertise they don't require ID. I've noticed that much of the time it depends on the time of day you're browsing; I feel like international traders etc. don't really care so much and actually prefer less ID.

Some vendors ask for it, some don't. I stick with the ones who don't.
