So my question is this after googling this question and reading it seems there is somewhat of a debate.
When you use a wallet like electrum and someone sends you bitcoin to that wallet, can your IP address be identified? Or just track your IP just from a Address? from that transaction?
Second question if someone send you coins and than you transfer them to another wallet can your IP address be a identified from that transaction?
I know electrum uses relay nodes, and when you request a transaction the node has you IP address from that request point. But is there anyway to expose that info?
Like if I sent coins to someone, and than I see them being moved can I get that IP address of who requested that?
I know I was reading that you would need like 14 computers and send malware formed request to gain IPs of the relays and than run nodes yourself but that is extreme.
But does anyone have any info on this? I keep reading that it is possible to reveal identity through bitcoin
