vendor gave me tracking # that's not my address

So this vendor that I will keep unnamed for the time being sent me a tracking # that shows the pack was delivered today, but across the country. It was delivered to the east coast and I am all the way on the west coast, I always double check my address. Even if I messed up on my address how would it deliver still? Wouldn't it have been undelivered due to address? Hoping it's just a mixup with the vendor but in the case that the pack was delivered to the wrong house, how fucked am I? And the vendor? I'm not sure if the vendor put my name but a different address or if i'm connected to the pack in any way.

If i were to guess a couple of packages and shipping info got mixed up.. theres a chance that persons pack could be at your place.. could be alot more..could be less..either way take it up with the vendor and get it situated..

Let's say the pack gets delivered to this address and an investigation is started. can they check the IP of the person viewing the tracking info to find out where it was supposed to go? (Not trying to trip you out OP, but this has crossed my mind before..)
