Connecting to TAILS from Apartment Wifi

I recently moved into an apartment that provides internet service through some kind of secondary company. Every time I log on from a new device, it takes me to a separate web page where I have to enter my login information and the MAC address of the device. The internet on TAILS doesn't have this functionality, so I don't really have a way to get onto DNMs. Should I get a router to connect through? The ethernet cable connection doesn't work for some reason either. Thanks for your help!

Check and see if you have an "xfinitywifi" ssid broadcasting in your area. If you do, you can purchase a comcast acct. for like $5 from DrawkwarD on alphabay. This will allow you to access the xfinity/comcast hotspot and get online. As an added benefit it will be totally anonymous web access for your dn activities.

Tails randomizes your mac address each time but you should be able to go into settings and look at what it is to enter it. Other than that, maybe try free wifi at a cafe.

This is why Tails includes the "Unsafe Browser" - for this very kind of situation.

However, I would recommend setting up a wireless repeater/router/access point (ideally using wires and not wifi wherever possible) to not have to deal with this, and also to limit suspicion from the provider. It likely has a timeout, though, which could make it obnoxious to keep up, but if there's not a CAPTCHA you could probably script it...

use the unsafe browser or log in thru an identity, click "new identity" on the onion icon on tor browser
