Is this a good strategy for exchanging dirty altcoins?

Say someone has dirty altcoins, they exchange it for monero on an exchange account not attached to them. Then take the monero to an offline wallet, then transfer the monero to an exchange on a different account tied to them for bitcoin. Is this good enough?

You left out the part where you're supposed to turn around three times, while on one foot and chanting the particular mantra for the second-to-last cryptocurrency.

This is OK if exchanges are not connected.

Exchange A will know they send XMR to your address and exchange B will know they get XMR from your address.

In reality they are not connected, but to be 100% sure you should sent from one Monero wallet you own to another Monero wallet you own.

About offline wallet I have no ideas why you need that. I guess before Kovri kick in you should somehow care of your IPs. But I am no PRO here.

But what I said you should be 100% secure beside IP ( if you log with same IP on exchange A and B then if they are connected can link you again)

ExchangeA->WalletA->WalletB->ExchangeB

crypto -> anonymous cash buyer -> new crypto?

Edit: because I’m not confident in how well the exchanges opsec is.
