[CommunityDiscussion] PROMOTE MULTI-SIG ON FUTURE MARKETS

That about sums it up, promoting or demanding multi-sig could prevent things like this from happening in the future. If we have enough people that demand multi-sig then the markets will have to comply.

My vote is for Agora (and other markets) to add a multi-sig feature and for people to actually USE IT to prevent these things from happening in the future.

Blackbank currently offers multisig. I really hope people wisen up and spend 30 mins learning this.

If this comment gets 100 upvotes, i will post a video showing a full on BlackBank vendor setup + buyer purchase + finalize on BlackBank (and any other multisig markets you guys want).

The key thing about multisig is that the incentive for a massive central escrow pot theft goes way down. Its not perfect. But its ALOT better than this central escrow revolving scam that keeps happening.

But im not wasting any more time trying to convince anybody of its benefits. Upvote 100 times and ill post a video that a monkey could follow. Its easy, trust me. And ull change the dynamics of how markets, LE and hackers work with a huge central escrow theft/seizure in mind.

What is multi-sig?

[14 Points] brightguydarknet:

A place like this existed. It was called themarketplace.i2p (also had a tor site). It forced PGP and Multi-sig, so the site never even held the coins. Best market ever made, and they simply gave up on it after operation onymous :(

It's just never going to happen... the simpler solution will prevail, and that is that more vendors will go FE-only.

I'm not saying that's a good thing, necessarily.

Agora is too... "entrenched"... as it is. Somehow I doubt they're going to revamp the entire payment system to include multisig transactions. This is a site whose search bar has been all but non-functional for 15 months, for heaven's sake. ;-)

Instead of promoting multi-sig on a future market, the Grand Wizard will put in a plug for a market which is currently offering multisig -- BlackBank. With Evo's demise BlackBank should start getting a broader selection of vendors: it's a nice market which is easy to use and which deserves a second look from buyers.

Electrum 2.x has good multi-sig support, it should be included in the next major Tails version. I think that could really get the ball rolling on this feature, which has been lacking for far too long.

i think the auto-censor thingy is blocking link..

mods - would be happy to donate any of the unrefunded .01 btc multisig practice payments to fund of ur choice after a month if u want.

BLACK BANK - search beepee911 or multisig practice and find the multisig practice link for .01 btc

Include a refund address in ur order notes and ill send back .01 btc minus blackbanks commission.

Evo promoted multi-sig did everyone forget this???? I'm I going crazy here? Again Promoting it does nothing if buyers and vendors don't use it. Edit: I guess it didn't matter on Evo because they had you deposit the funds into an onsite wallet and then it was transferred to the multi-sig wallet, so their Multisig was flawed from the beginning to favor an exit scam.

this thieving shithead explains the multisig risk window pretty well. But im sure they knew full well that having it there would do wonders for credibility but that nobody would go thru the trouble of learning something new. Well played.. scumbags..

looks like enough ppl are interested so i will be sharing some vids i made over weekend today that will outline core multisig concepts and a vid specific to blackbanks setup. i see also a few other ppl posted tutorials etc. hopefully this last evo stunt was the last slap in face we collectively beg the central markets for..

[1 Points] tp911:

Blackbank being down so much didnt help but think i got what i needed.

Escrow is the problem...

[-1 Points] noonehear:

This sounds way to complicated. I'll just send me address un-encrypted because I'm dumb. Newsreporters ask me antying.

Again as I have said if a market wants to exit multi sign will ve disabled without you even knoing it..
