Could something like this synthesize substances like MXE, MDMA and such? A 3d printer on the molecular but still needs precursors required level.

http://www.popularmechanics.com/science/health/a14528/the-chemistry-3d-printer-can-craft-rare-medicinal-molecules-from-scratch/

Probably would be better suited for AskScience or drugs, but heh why not? I'm chillin' on DNM quality Xans and like this community.

So I've read guides on how to make LSD and it requires so much control over temperature because if not things won't bond right? Idk. Couldn't you just build in air conditioners and heated coils to mimic all that? Is this the next big thing or am I just high?

You're just high.

The printer isnb't really a printer. just a big general chemistry set that works on general principals to add functional groups. Its a load of bottles with little pumps and tubes and a computer, which will suggest a way to make a molecule that you managed to think up. It still sloshes liquids into a beaker.

A good chemist could probably shave months or years off the time it would have taken him to make a sample of a new compound .

Obviously, a printer is made out of atoms. It can't "print" an atom on a molecule like printing a 3D gun. It would be like trying to squirt a football out of a nozzle made out of footballs, after plucking a football off to make room using tweezers made out of footballs. Which are all bouncing around, even if its very very cold.

Does that make sense>

I don't see why not? Within 20 years hopefully we can all have 3D printers in our house printing whatever we want when we want it ;P. (Obviously a pipe dream because even IF, a big IF, it's possible, it would be crazy expensive.

That or delivery by drones. So instead of ordering overnight packs from vendors you have the option of same day drone delivery :D

No, lol. xD
