So I was looking into a vendor that is on TR and Dream, reading through their reviews, their profile and Grams. Then I realised that the link the have in their profile going to Grams Infodesk has a public PGP key that doesn't match their TR and Dream PGP keys. So I look a little further and find a second Grams profile with the same vendor name but with (2) after it. This one did have the same public PGP key on it that the vendor is using on TR and Dream.
So after I realise this I decide to let the vendor know that their market public PGP keys don't match the public PGP key on the Grams profile they provide in their vender profile pages on TR and Dream. And I ask them why they don't match.
I was expecting some simple reply like 'we forgot to update our profile grams link' or something to that effect. Instead, I got a three-word reply: "It does match."
I have now replied to them explaining that they most certainly do not match and that they should fix it.
My question is this, should a buyer be concerned about a vendor that doesn't double check that the info in their profile is accurate or up-to-date? And, if there is a mistake that a customer points out to them, should a brush-off response be accepted?
EDIT: The vendor has replied again to my expanded message and has acknowledged that the Grams link in their profile is INDEED wrong. They have said that it will be updated. Also, they claim to still have the older PGP key. Will wait and see what they do.
Be VERY concerned! A real vendor would fix this immediately. Until the issue is settled to your satisfaction, find another vendor. Something is wrong here.
