Now the post is gone, but I think we need a little bit of explanation as to why the mods stickied it and whether mods are either scamming or LE or something like that. Can anyone explain?
Can anyone explain the "One of Ours Needs Our Help" post and why it was stickied?

I could try to explain it, but I don't think you would understand the concept that everyone is the same person.

I was in awe of that thread. The Pelican team and the mods here should be fucking ashamed. Seriously, why was that allowed but if any other people made that post it would be deleted? It was fucking STICKIED.

For those that missed it.
Sister_Pelican was trying to raise funds for someone.
Interesting part: Pelican didn't know about any of it.

That was really weird. The pelican team are some of the biggest DNM dealers. I'm sure their product has sent tons to jail. Kinda weird they were asking for money to bail out one kid. If they really cared that much they should just give all 5k they def have millions by now

Anyone else realize the vendors all turned into children. Deleting accounts, posts,,comments, whining over autism and sleep.
Yet the real deal /u/Pelican_Vendor is chill and has no idea whats going on.
Idek. I love you.

The whole thing is sketchy. It also implies that Pelican and Sister Pelican aren't that close...

LOL. LE, Scams or Hacks.
Or maybe trying to to do a nice thing for some one that got caught up.
Vendors were kicking in coin, just looking for a little btc dust from the 'community' which just turns out to be a bunch of paranoid, selfish autists.
I'll answer this (for now) as the other mods haven't commented yet. I wasn't involved in the original discussion about the post being sticked and don't/didn't really agree with the fundraiser so I am not the best person to explain it.
The post being stickied wasn't malicious. The claims made by u/sister_pelican are true. I was able to check the persons account on TMG and confirm that they are:
a) A long-standing member of the community.
b) A good person.
c) Facing an arrest warrant.
This information and their identity was more extensively verified by sister_pelican.
The plan outlined with SP was for the money to be paid directly to the reputable law firm involved. That was an obvious precondition, because 5k could not just be given out to anyone.
OP deleted the post herself without mentioning it to us. This was after negative community feedback and some critical comments I made in modmail after noticing the sticky. No money was collected.
No dodgy mod activities here, and the motive (on the involved mods part at least) was good intentions and a dislike for the bullshit of LE. In my view it should have been organized better or not done at all but we do get things wrong sometimes when acting in the way we believe is correct.
I may update this answer after talking with other mods.
