So despite not supporting other cryptos the majority of my time on the DNM's I think its officially time to step away from bitcoin, at least for the time being. Went to do a direct deal today with a vendor, realized my $250 purchase would end up costing me $315 or so with fees and would still take probably 24 hours to get to him.
As of this morning the lowest electrum fee was approx $32 to send coin.... and people reporting at the highest level still not having coin move 12-16 hours later.
Vendors are loving this surge but its creating a sellers market and backlogging the blockchain and fees are just crazy... Not to mention not knowing if your $250 will be worth $300 when it gets to the vendor or a random drop in BTC causing it to be less...
EDIT Definitely did not realize how many people are active in this sub. 7.7k views, Guess I am not the only one feeling the shift. Going to check out Libertas today and see what its like and encourage my vendors to accept Monero, I could give 2 shits about multisig I am DDin already, thank you all for any info you have given me, gonna take a lot of it into consideration, just hoping more people start actually moving, BTC needs to crash again before vendors will give a fuck because right now all the vendors holding coin just made more in a week then they probably did all year selling, and the ironic part is that if they want to cash out in case coin crashes again they will need to change cryptos or take straight money out....
Funny how we are probably the largest group of people that use bitcoin as an actual currency to make regular transactions, and now we can't even use it because people that were laughing at this shit five years ago are all over it now.
