TSA Security Questions

About two weeks ago, I got stopped by TSA security. The reason being that I had about $20-30k in cash that wasn't clean. While I know that wasn't very smart on my part, I've gone through TSA with the same amount (more or less) before in the past with no issues, which is why I was surprised it happened this time.

Afterwards, they called their supervisor who then ended up scanning my passport on a copier and asked me where I was going. He wrote that down on the same paper that they used to scan my passport. Then they just let me repack all my shit and let me go. But before I left, I asked the worker what the problem was and he said that "there was an anomaly with the scanner" (he wasn't speaking in a very clear manner at the time)..

So I guess my question is if I'm still okay to order from the DNM and if anyone can shed some light on what exactly happened and what this might entail for me now.

Prior to this, I have noticed that the few times I have traveled (2-3 times), my luggage that I check-in (not carry-on) always have the notice that "TSA has checked through my bag" inside. I do not have have priors or an arrest record fyi.

For every person who breaks the law there is another peron at a desk monitoring your behavior and trying to find a weakness where they can grab you. You're on that guy's list now. watch yourself bro.

also why are you traveling with that much cash? it's totally unnecessary 99% of the time

Never travel with more than 10k in cash. That's what set them off.

Never take more than 10K with you.

Last time I flew, I had about $8,500 and they hassled me over that. I had to answer a few questions, but they didn't write anything down.

Edit: If you must take more than 10K, please buy money orders! That's what my friend does when he goes to buy glass(specifically Mothership pieces)

Did they take your cash ? This is a huge no no . Like how investigations get started . Keep it to 9k at most next time .

Im surprised they didnt seize your cash and make you prove where you got it from.

Just to me it seems like you're profiled and watched.
