What do you shady fuckers think about BitcoinXT? I'm under the impression that it will foster centralization and reduce privacy... which would be bad for the darknet community. Thoughts?
BitcoinXT, what's your opinion?

clearly the devs pushing bitcoin XT have been bought out by big corporate interests that want to use the blockchain as a distributed store for their data and make it impossible for your average computer user to run a full node and "be their own bank." truly makes me sad, RIP bitcoin's noble ideals.

As long as the majority of the network doesn't switch the BitcoinXT We'll be fine. If it DOES switch to BitcoinXT then it would not only hurt Bitcoin but the DNM's aswell, although there are other Crypto currency's that you can use on markets so it would hurt us but I'm sure we're resilient enough to recover.
DNM's are the Back bone of Bitcoin's ecosystem, it would be foolish to alienate us because we could just switch to a different crypto.

Its an attempt to destroy bitcoin.

If it causes Bitcoin prices to rise then even if it does cause less privacy it will probably create a larger market for altcoin experiments. We need something like Monero to become the standard currency on the darknets.
Reduce privacy? lol It completely negates privacy by default. Even if you set it to use tor only, it still makes connections through the clearnet to download a tor node blacklist to further impede your ability to stay anonymous.
The setting that controls the behavior is purposefully named in a way to hide what the setting actually controls. It reaks of cooperation and influence by LEO or other outside parties.
The only thing BTC needed was the bigger block size, so why has the XT team decided to throw such questionable bullcrap in with it?
