First off, hello everyone I missed yall I'm just back here for shits and giggles :)
Anyways, sorry to burst everyone's bubble but I'm almost positive that one of 2 things happened. Either some major shit went down which in turn affected the site's existence and the admins and devs have been unable to restore or regain control of the site or they're stringing everyone along in a long time planned enevitable exit scam. But whatever the case may be this situation has been shady af and I've been around the block quite a few times with this shit and I'm 70% certain it's not ever going to come back so here are some tips for those of you who haven't been through a site of this importance ending its run:
Avoid vendors who switch to FE only after this. Some of them will say it's because they've lost faith in the markets and while that may be true in some cases it could also mean they're on some scamming shit and are trying to recoup some of their losses.
Verify vendors you've dealt with via pgp if you find them on another market. There's gonna be a shit ton of imposters taking advantage of this situation so be careful.
Try as hard as you can to avoid doing any business on markets with open registration for the next month or 2. Sites like Dream and Hansa are going to be hit the hardest with a massive influx of new users and are going to be experiencing extremely heavy traffic. They'll be up and down and will be constantly under repair for the next month or 2 so that will totally fuck with your orders and may even fuck you over in certain situations.
Use your head. It's very common for people who've lost a lot of money to panic and make bad decisions and those decisions can end up fucking you over even harder. So sit back, chill and smoke some weed and think long and hard before you make your next move and for those of you who didn't have a backup plan you need to rethink your whole set up and if you make another run at it do things differently.
Situations like these are why I'm a huge supporter of multisig and vendors putting escrow limits on sites. I'm also a huge advocate of DD's with trustworthy vendors.
Always remember to never invest anything on DNM's that you can't afford to lose. Diversify yo bonds son. Wu Tang Financial.
So even though AB went down for FOUR days last year, with equally as bad communication from the mods, you're assuring us that Ab is not coming back?
Not to say that you will be wrong, but your statement of "safe to say AB is probably gone for good" is entirely misinformed; where is your evidence for this? And before you start with that 4million$ bitcoin transaction, put it this way: if I ran the biggest illegal online market to ever exist, I wouldn't quit with just 4M to pocket.
Shut up, have some faith (for the next few days at least) and if you are going to chat more shit put it on the megathread xox
