I've read a lot about trash pulls from LE recently. I live in the US, and I was wondering if they would LEGALLY be able to do this if I don't take my trash out the curb? We have a private alley way that we park in, and the garbage company actually comes through the alley to pick up our bins. So what I'm thinking is that my trash is still on my property, LE would require a warrant to search it, correct?
I don't normally throw away anything that could be a dead giveaway, just maybe the occasional empty baggie. (I now save them up, place them in a shopping back and dump them in a public dumpster whenever I'm out and about.) I'm just wondering if that's something I would still need to look out for.
I am not in any danger currently, I just want to make sure I have the best game plan if shit happens to hit the fan.
They could argue that they were placed on city property if they are in the alley. To be safe keep them basically touching your house. Leave no doubt that they are on your property. Then they can go fuck themselves.
