Need help, I'm shitting my pants

Hey guys, me and a friend have been ordering for a year now, and today a call came in, it was the local police dep., they want to have a conversation with my friend on friday next.

They probably caught one of the letters we ordered, I assume it was benzos and mephedrone. Not humungous amounts, but still 50 pills and 5g if I recall correctly... I cleaned the house and deleted everything on pc and phone that might look suspicious, what else should we do? How should he behave, besides calm...

don't talk to them, don't volunteer anything. don't talk without an attorney present and after you are arrested. head down mouth shut, if you can get a lawyer on retainer in case. Unless they are arresting you don't say a fucking word.. if they come to the house don't answer the door. I was asked to come talk to the police and volunteer a lie detector test. I refuse and didnt talk they couldn't do shit. they were fishing. Thats what they are doing to you.

Lawyer end of story. All they will do is try and make you incriminate yourself. "We already know what happend"..."we know you arnt really a bad guy"... meanwhile all they want is to give you enough rope to hang yourself. They will get you and your friend seperatley and use your stories to disprove each other.

[17 Points] nsgiad:

If they are inviting your friend in that means they don't have enough for an arrest warrant and they are trying to trick your friend into admitting guilt that they can prove. If they had a solid case against him they would come arrest him, not politely ask for a sit down at the office.

Clean house, lay low, don't volunteer any info to the cops. Get a lawyer on retainer if you can afford such.

[13 Points] Derrick4Real:

Sounds like they are looking to lure you or your friend in there to get info about who you ordered from. They will likely take the opportunity to intimidate you as well, hoping you either incriminate yourself or give up your vendor (or both).

If you or your buddy were in serious trouble, they would have come to either of you already...not invite you into the cop shop a week after the call.

Did you accept the offer to come in?

just go in there guns blazin, they wont have any more questions.

Your friend really needs to watch this video. I'm surprised nobody posted it yet.

How many fucking times do way have to say it . STFU CALL LAWYER, NOTHING ELSE!

[4 Points] xiic:

Don't talk to them before talking to a lawyer.

Deleting things from your hard drives doesn't do shit. To properly erase data you need to physically break the hard drive platters.

[3 Points] dapperdabber420:

you dont have to go. If they already had evidence on you you would already be arrested.

[3 Points] silkyyyyy:

They just called you and requested a conversation? Sounds like bs.

i was in a situation like this a long time ago when i used to be involved in things. the cops kept coming to my house knocking on the door and calling me and leaving messages saying they wanted to talk to me. they would knock on the door forever and yell and what not, knowing i was home but i never answered the door. i just said "there's nothing i want to talk to you about" or something to that effect.

if they actually had anything solid on you they wouldn't be asking you to talk to them, they'd show up with a warrant and kick down your door and arrest you.

they want you to incriminate yourself, and you don't want to do that so don't talk to them. they don't have anything solid on you, probably just seen or heard your name around.

[3 Points] mindfulmu:

Step 1. Call a fucking lawyer.
Step 2. Don't talk to the cops, seriously anything you say is going to hurt you. Even"i don't know anything about drugs" will hurt you.
Step 3. Watch the first 48, see how lil devil and stomper have to get release cause they didn't fucking talk to the cops... yeah.... notice anything?
Step 4. Buy all these fuckers gold for saving your ass.

First mistake is involving someone else in this scenario. Do you trust this person with your freedom?

Second mistake is asking this sub for legal advice. You'll get a ton a misinformation and factual opinions to sift through.

It seems like you don't even live in the USA therefore anyone replying telling you to assert your constitutional rights has no idea what constitution they are talking about.

[2 Points] throwahooawayyfoe:

Get a lawyer! Get a lawyer NAO! Do not talk to the police, do not say anything, without one present. Period. There is absolutely nothing good that can come of not having a lawyer on your side.

[2 Points] GrandWizardsLair:

The Grand Wizard reminds his fellow Americans that Switzerland is a different country. Unless you have knowledge of Swiss criminal law, any advice you give may be not only unhelpful but outright hazardous to this guy's freedom. There's a reason people think we're idiots: don't be that reason.

Please give us an update if you can after things go down. Tell your friend to not squeal. No matter what. I wish you luck and remember you guys are innocent until proven guilty.

[1 Points] None:

I could advice speaking to a lawyer as they can give you some solid advice. They said they wanted to talk to you but remember you can exercise your right to remain silent. They could then decide to take it further but for such a small amount I doubt they would. Try to remain calm and keep a clean house. Best of luck.

OP is in Switzerland. No clue how law enforcement works there.

OP please update us on what happens. Good luck

This could be a scam, same thing happened to me this week but turns out it was a scammer who spoofed the local PD phone number, left me a threatening message and was going to try and extort money from me when I called back.

Check the number he left, I bet its different than the number that called you. Did the guy have a foreign accent?

Same thing AUpiate talked about happened to a good friend of mine, a few years back, I think it was 2011. They posed as DEA and tried to extort money from him for a purchase of Xanax he made all the way back in 2004 through some online website. It was back when there were still some legal loopholes you could go through to make it look like you were getting a few select medications legit. It was before George Bush Jr. signed into effect the "Ryan Haight act," which put to bed most domestic sites conducting this kind of thing. The DEA actually warned people that had past transgressions after the act was signed not fall for it. Here is a link: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/pressreleases/extortion_scam.htm

Burn house down and move to Nigeria.

Deny deny deny. If they had sufficiant evidence to get you, you would of had been behind bars before even posting this. 50 pills IS a big amount, that can be classed as distribution rather than personal. Clean house, bury everything or hide it off property. If you have lots of evidence on your computer drives, replace them for new ones for a few weeks.

Chances are, You are going to be fine. The way I see it, the absolute worst case scenario would be a search warrent. Relax :)
