is someone from the darknet trying to access my wallet?

The other day I got an e-mail titled "authorize API access attempt". I received another one today titled the same thing, and these are the contents of the message:

An attempt has been made access your blockchain.info wallet through the wallet api.

Time: 2014-12-03 16:29:54 IP Address: TOR Hidden Service If you do not use the blockchain.info wallet api do not approve this request. If you do use the wallet API and the above details are correct click the following link to whitelist the ip address:

I haven't used my blockchain wallet in approx two weeks; the first time I got the message I had a hint of doubt that I might have tried to access it while I was drunk or something and forgot. However, this time I know for sure it wasn't me. I haven't really ticked off anyone on DNMs (that i know of), the closest thing would be giving a vendor an OK review not too long ago.

Can anyone give me some insight as to who the culprit might be, or what I can do to make my coins more secure? I'm not too worried about it right now, as I only have about a couple of bucks worth in it at the moment. But if I decide to buy something again, I don't want to be constantly worrying that someone will steal my coins.

Change your password. Use a strong password (min 16 characters consisting of numbers, upper and lower case letters, spaces and symbols). Enable 2 factor authentication. Open a support ticket and notify them what has happened.

I could be wrong but unless you are a programmer or use some app that utilizes blockchain API or lib this isn't you doing it. Sounds like a 3rd party app is trying to access your wallet. It might not be directed at you but could be some nefarious software looking to exploit wallets on blockchain.

It might not be directed at you but some app that tries to steal coin and just trying a bunch of wallets.

check the headers in the email to make sure its actually coming from blockchain.info. it might very well be a phishing attempt. I've had several of those come through to me in the past few months. if you're worried, change your password and enable 2fa. and if there's a way to change your api key, do that to.
