If you ordered from a vendor who got busted...

...and they got his order history and private key?

What should you, the customer, worry about?

Legally, what can the cops do?

Can you get busted over a few orders 6 months ago? Do you think they would investigate?

What could they charge you with?

Or are you just address burned and on a list?

This is for USA.

Help me understand experts.

Not trying to be dramatic or anything but you may want to lay low for a while.

This is my experience.

After the XK was busted, LE got ahold of his account and messaged everyone with active orders to resend their address. Thinking nothing of it, I went ahead and sent my info over.

After about 3 weeks of shiting bricks, Nothing every happened. I had a sizeable order and I was positive I was at least gonna get a knock. but nada

I don't know if this is normal but I feel like when a major vendor gets busted, they focus on the whales and suppliers and a lot of people end up falling through the cracks.

Do you know this for sure? How do you know his private key is compromised?

For a personal buyer prob not much to worry about except I'd burn the address.

yes you can get busted, not sure you remember that german vendor that got caught, but alot of even small time buyers got busted

Don't panic. Keep a clean house for a bit and consider the address you kept with him burnt. If the vendor had even a modicum of opsec even using his private key should be 2 passwords away. If LE involved know enough about this they'll offer him a plea deal for the passwords, or they'll bruteforce it, and that's if they have the device.

But even if you KNOW they have his private key the address is burned but your ID is most likely not. Still, keep a clean house for a month or so if it'll make you feel better, the most you'll get is a knock, but more likely than not they can't do anything without you talking or being in possession, so depending on the age...

LE is more concerned with his suppliers. You're not gonna net them any accolade worth the paperwork, right? ;)

I would say nothing, as long as theres no proof you ordered. Somebody could've used your adress as a drop.

No respectable vendor would hold onto your info 6 months after your last order with them. That just makes no sense.
