Question for you vendors out there.

Is it common courtesy for the buyer to provide more bitcoins after the fact if the value of the BTC has sharply dropped? I'm not talking about minor orders, meaning anything 200 dollars or less where the difference is probably negligible. I'm talking about orders of 500 dollars or more where a 20 percent decrease in BTC really changes the terms agreed upon. I've had vendors before ask me to make up the difference before, and I've had no problem with it. I'm just wondering about your opinions on it?

They make money when the Bitcoin value shoots up. That's the risk they take. Do you ask vendors to refund you when value increases during transit?

I'm pretty high up on the food chain so I get my drugs at wholesale prices. The prices I sell on the DNM's net me 2x-3x what I paid for it so the btc price drops don't effect me that much.

Sometimes thats just the fucking way she goes Bubs....

No chance, If I paid in USD and the price tanked, I wouldnt make up the difference either. Its the risk they take to do business in this currency.

If you were to buy btc and the price was to drop by 20% a couple minutes later, the vendor would forsure say no if you asked to pay 20% less since value dropped and you already paid for the btc. That's the same risks that he takes if you already paid him and the price drops 20% afterwards, it's the risks that we all take, so you shouldnt have to pay more

My philosophy as a consumer: Get the coins and have the order placed same day, don't eave too much on the markets at once. My job is done, and the quicker the order is tended to, the less likely a fluctuation will affect us.

It's been offered once or twice, but we politely decline. Often times the vendor is in a better position to take the loss and it's the risk we take when using Bitcoin.

I would say it's very far from common, and only a douchey vendor would allow a customer to do that.

just a risk of the game
