Publishing the DNM vendor bible

Hello community.

I am happy to finally publish the DNM vendor bible. It is not yet linked on the /r/darknetmarketsnoobs sidebar, but you can visit it using this link. Some days after this post, when users looked over it and searched for mistakes and made additions, it will also be linked on the sidebar.

Since I am not a vendor, I had to rely on my own research and common sense when writing it. But luckily I had support from other users: with much help from /u/Elisa-Yamaha, /u/al_eberia [not a vendor] and some input from /u/Pelican_Vendor, the vendor bible covers more aspects and offers more information. Sharing information about vending so fellow community members, but also your competition, can learn is not something naturally for a vendor.

Therefore I would like to thank them for helping despite that and sharing their knowledge for the sake of the DNM community and for making it a bit better.

If you would like to contribute too, just message me and say what you want to see added.

However, please also note that the vendor bible is not all you need to know about vending. Quoting from the about page:

The following information will just be a help for already operating vendors or people who want to become one. Being a successful DNM vendor is an extremely complex topic and is an ongoing job. There is much more information you need to gather before becoming a vendor than just reading the DNM vendor bible.

Tip: when setting up your electrum wallet on Tails, you can start the wallet creation process several times till you get a seed that you can remember better (e.g. because the word order makes more sense and is easier to remember).

Would it be better to advocate for encrypted storage rather than relying on memory?

You could use real addresses of individuals living in a rather poor part of a town. So if law enforcement starts to investigate they think it is just one of the drug dealers living there who sends the packages, and if the packages gets returned the individual is less likely to report it to the police

This may sound odd coming from u/murderhomelesspeople but shouldn't we not advocate to prey on the poor and vulnerable? I say this is a more viable method if the house it is addressed to is most definitely a trap house or else you are possibly causing someone a lot of pain, someone with little resources to defend themselves. I think I've advocated for this type of practice in the past but only if it's a legit crack house type shit, the single mom raising her kids in the ghetto don't need that sort of shit coming back to them. I think you did mean to specify that sort of thing but just left it out.

Stealth

I really think you should remove the examples. I understand they are already published but I feel like it's a step in the wrong direction. We as a community have always been against this sort of practice but it has slowly become more common place, I feel it sets a bad example for our standards.

The DNM's have a bible now? Does that mean that Ross Ulbricht is the Jesus?

/u/Elisa-Yamaha - You have been summoned in the thread /r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/69rls4/publishing_the_dnm_vendor_bible/ by /u/wombat2combat.

This convenience is brought to you by AutoMod. Submissions do not automatically summon users like comments do. AutoMod is trying to be helpful.

For others, it should no longer be necessary to summon the referenced user in a comment any more. AutoMod has done the heavy lifting for you. You're welcome. Bow before me.

Thanks wombat!

Thanks Wombat2comabat. Do you prefer we donate to Tails or Tor to show our appreciation for all of your efforts. You dont strike me as the type who wants to personally profit on this kind of thing. So I though I would give you the choice :)

Feds gonna love this lol.

Looks nice, clean. Will read. Thanks!

When going to your drop off your packages

I'm seeing a lot of silly mistakes like this, as well as errors in punctuation/grammar. If you guys need help cleaning up the bible, I'd be more than glad to contribute.

Pretty good read! I see a few flaws here and there but that might be for the better.

Good work though! Idk how or even why you mods put so much time into this. Almost like its religious work or something ;)

A few things:

  1. BACK-UP YOUR DATA. You must must must have at least 2 copies of your PGP keys, passwords, and bitcoin wallets. You're fucked if they disappear and at one point I had 2 copies (TAILS persistence and disc) fail on me at once, leaving me without keys and nearly without wallets. Luckily I had another back-up.

P.S. I've had two copies of persistent TAILS randomly fail on me so be careful of that. I don't even use persistence anymore.

  1. 2-Factor Authentication. Never have a market account without this. Scams and phishing links happen to the best of us and you want to be as safe as possible. Hell, someone helping with your operation could be the one stealing from you if they know your password and don't need a PGP key.

  2. Use folders or large boxes to drop off packages. Dropping mail off always sketched me out a little, looking normal while not getting fingerprints on packages can be difficult. For this you can use folders (the $0.50 paper ones you find at any drug store) for envelopes, or a larger box for packages. Simply place all envelopes/boxes on the larger receptacle without getting fingerprints on them, go to the blue box, then tilt them all into there so they simply slide in. Trying to use your sweatshirt sleeve or putting those finger condoms on or whatever you said is kinda shit.

P.S. think about this when buying stuff in stores too. Get a cart/basket and try not to act awkward sliding stuff off shelves with a sweatshirt sleeve...

  1. Make sure your product is tested. I can't remember which vendor but a popular one a few years ago sent out pounds of sugar without realizing. Some people send out analogues without realizing. Some people press/lay their own product and send out bunks without realizing. For the sake of customers and reship/refund costs, test your product.

Nice! My thread was referenced in this :)

Use local customers as return addressed, should anything be returned they will keep it and say nothing
