How hard is the law enforcement going after regular customers of the deep web?

Assuming that your package dont get caught, is there other methods being used to catch buyers?

Keep your OpSec tight. If you are staying domestic You probably are not even on LE radar. They are looking for big boys importing kilos of schedule 1 drugs. It takes time, money and effort to bust someone, they aren't going to waste time on some joe shmoe buying 10 grams of MDMA. They only way LE would pursue that is if the package fell in their lap.

That being said, do not taunt LE in anyway. They will waste time, money and effort just to prove a point.

If you're just ordering for personal use there is virtually no risk (provided you choose your vendor wisely). In general, the larger the order the greater the risk. Besides intercepting a package with bad stealth, it's also possible that your vendor gets busted right after you place an order and the police decide to do a CD on you. Remember, choose a long-standing vendor with a quality reputation, NEVER SIGN FOR A DNM PACKAGE, and NEVER TALK TO THE POLICE IF YOU ARE EVER ARRESTED (just ask for a lawyer and keep your mouth shut). Best of luck to you!

You'll see the extent of how deep they can go in these next 4 years that's for sure.

Once the last frontier of surveillance is exploited and legally encouraged. Aka hardware backdoors. The ground work Proof of Concept has already been laid down by cellphones to an extent and things like IME (Intel Management Engine drivers that make use of non-accessible cores for instance in Intel based chips starting from circa 2009 and onward).

Though we might get some luck later on and the demand for open sourced hardware grows. The only current option on the market for consumer targeted open sourced hardware is a $4000 motherboard that is currently being crowd sourced, with $13000 buying you a prebuilt high-ish spec system. Freedom ain't cheap, but let's see how many companies actually arise based on the demand for this sort of stuff. It's going to be an interesting next few years that's for sure.
