Full time (no other income) vendors placed on child support. How was your income determined?

Just curious. If you are a full time vendor and have no other income. Nothing on the books and are served a child support papers. I know each state is different but I'm curious to hear stories, mostly regarding forensic auditing. Has anyone experienced or heard of cases where they have looked into bank accounts and calculated your expenses and then based your payments off that (without the mother's input)

Why does this feel so incredibly shady

This post doesn't have much to do with child support at all. Any vendor worth their salt should be laundering their money so when something as this comes around they have nothing to worry about. As purely anecdotal evidence of stories of busts I've read, getting caught by the IRS is one of the most common ways criminals in general go down. Buying an Escalade while on food stamps? Something's fishy.

All you have to do is clean your dirty money by running it through a legitimate source. Into a certain product or activity? Start a business selling it/teaching people and add some extra customers that may or may not actually receive the product/service (i.e. you). Maybe you recently got into knitting and have been selling products on Etsy (to yourself). Maybe you decided to make a Chaturbate account and have turned out to be highly desireable to a few wealthy customers. Money laundering is a very personalized activity that you must tailor to your own situation.

If you're not smart about your streams of income, you're adding a lot of unnecessary risk to an already risky business. Also, if you're a vendor who's not smart about laundering your money, you should stop your activities immediately as you're likely cutting corners elsewhere and risking lives.

Always find a legitimate or "legitimate" stream of income and ALWAYS pay your god damned taxes. Paying child support on a poverty-level income when you're making five times that is simply scummy.

You're gonna have to make up some shit as to why you've been able to afford the things you do.

Just get a shitty minimum wage job and only work a few days a week and bam

For certain states you have a minimum of 230 dollars a month even if you have no job.

My dad "flips cars" in cali without a liscense if you sell over 10 cars in a year it is a felony you can get caught "curbstoning" selling cars without a dealers liscense a loophole is that it's 10 cars in profit so this car needs work etc. i lost money on this car, Every state is different but I would do something like that ;)

Find yourself a sugar momma who will retroactively confirm whatever story you tell. I probably don't need to tell you to hide your assets, but I will anyway.
