Why do EC Tests Matter so Much?

Don't get me wrong, they are better than nothing, but from what I understand, it's really simple to abuse them to either promote/slander a vendor dishonestly with EC test results. Not to mention, even if they are real, they are only indicative of one order and we all know product quality can fluctuate wildly.

I'm not bashing EC or anything, I'm just asking why so much weight is put on them, as if that one result is and end-all-be-all indication of a vendor's product.

Because it's one of the few ways - if not only way - to quantify quality. Reagent tests only indicate the presence of a substance; not how much or what else there is.

Gas chromatography machines are expensive. Even rarer are organizations willing use theirs to test drugs for the public for a nominal fee.

TL;DR It's the best we've got.

Also there's no garentee that the sample that got sent to EC are the same that came from the vendor when people make reviews. That's why when I see a post about a vendor sending bunk product I don't believe it's not a competitor. Like the post earlier calming the collectives mdma is actually deschloroketamine. The collective has a long history of sending out good product backed up by multiple users testing it. I don't see how one could mix up the smell, taste and feel of mdma with a low dose dissociative

Just use them to test your own stuff. Problem solved.

Bc it backs up what I expect vendors. I expect vendors to be true to their product. You are correct quality can fluctuate but even if I saw one bad EC result from a vendor I wouldn't use them, even if they had other good ones. Lastly, EC testing can save lives. When you look at RC vendors and stuff, I've seen stand up vendors get shipped the wrong product from the supplier and pass it on without testing. Luckily it was a fent analog or anythigher that can kill. But after that the vendor refused to sell anything until every batch he received wassent into EC first so he could verify.

You're right: There's a strong incentive for vendors to abuse the trust EC has gained in this community - either to make their own product look better, or to throw dirt at another vendor's product. For that reason I give EC test results the same weight as I do to any redditors' subjective vendor review. I look at the user's history, I read the comments and I search for additional reviews. Because money is involved, each report or review could be true, or it could be bullshit.
