Guy Came To My Door At 7PM

So someone came to my door late at night and asked for my parents. Which is kinda stupid thing to ask because I am old enough to actually be owning the house, but nevermind that. I said they were not here and he asked when they would be back and I said probably really late.

I don't know if this is darknetmarket related, or something else. If I searched and visited various fraud sites, would that be something they would come for? I was not being smart at first and didn't have a vpn but now I do.

It might not even be me, it might be my dad. He has gotten sued before. That's what I originally thought but then when I called him and told him, he said "well you better not be downloading any shit" And right at that moment it dawned on me that it could possibly be my fault, and I got nervous. One time we almost got sued for a torrent I downloaded. I barely use torrents anymore. But if they saw fraud stuff that would not be cool. I'd probably get kicked outta here.

Which is ok, I have a job and such, but I don't have much saved at the moment.

Also he asked for my parents so that makes me think it was one of their names he came for and not mine. But I'm still paranoid. Should I be?

He was standing at the door for like 10 min thats why I finally answered it. I wasn't going to go get it.

I highly highly doubt that this guy had anything to do with LE, Sounds like you're just freaking yourself out man. Why didn't you just ask him what he wanted?

What was his wardrobe/attire? I have a conspiracy that it may have been bandits.. Thieves.. Rapscallions. Did you open the door?? Never open the door. Did he show you fancy writings on parchments in an attempt to lure you outside?? You would be wise to avoid these devious characters and never ever encourage them to speak more.. A quick swift slam of your door followed by fastening all locks should send the signal that you are on to their tricksy games.

Sounds like a salesperson or hell even a process server. I'd recommend not doing illegal shit in your parents house, unless you want to risk their asses as well. Consider this your wake up call.

Grab a towel and stop panicking.

Burn down your internet connection and move to Belize. Better to be safe than sorry, right?

Maybe this is a clue that if you're going to try to be some kind of fraudster you should insulate your parents from the risk? Anything that you bring into their home could be claimed as coming from fraud and that puts them in jeopardy. Don't do that to the people who have been nice enough to raise you and let you continue to live in their home even after you are admittedly old enough to be out on your own. The fact that your primary worry stated is that they will be mad enough to kick you out is just sad. Think about them and all they have to lose just because you decide to become some kind of internet criminal.

I think stealing from innocent people makes you a piece of shit anyway, but even pieces of shit are supposed to love their parents. Either knock it off or move out and consider this a lucky wake up call.

It was someone selling something. They come by all the time at my house(im.not a dnm customer) they just want to speak to the home owner so they can sell them new siding.
