Questions regarding vacuum sealing bags and MBBs?

Hey everyone,

So i have been receiving multiple orders from multiple vendors for a bit now. I have seen all kinds of stealth. Most use vac bags and MBBs. I understand the point of them is to not let smell out and moisture in.

The three main types of stealth I see is:

A) The vac bag is just sealed, and does not have the air vacuumed out. Same with MBB.

B) The vac bag is air vacuumed. MBB just sealed.

C) Both vac and MBB are vacuumed out and sealed.

----> I assumed the best is option C. But is there really any difference in option A vs C?

Does vacuuming out the air from any layer of the bags really necessary, as long as the layers are sealed?

How do you vaccum the air out of an MBB? I just vaccum the vaccum bags, and impulse seal the MBB

Generally no, although smaller and skinnier packages are usually easier to ship in a more stealthy manner. Also gives the impression of being more professional.

Having said that, a couple of years ago I got a coke delivery in a sealed bag full of air (long story, but part of the stealth). The idiot had done it in a very humid room/atmosphere/whatever, and I ended up with basically a bag of cola oil. No real biggie, just a bit 'wtf?'.

I prefer option C. TBH, I've also seen alot of MBBs with no vac seals on quite a few orders lately...

Doesn't matter overall. All do the job. Vacuuming may compress buds though.

[1 Points] None:

As a vendor who ships buds, i concluded that customers are much happier with the condition their order arrives in if there's extra air in the inner bag. We call it air bag shiipping (TM). Other vendors are more then welcome to borrow the idea because we don't even like to think of anyones buds arriving compressed. i think everyone knows what an ordeal it is to fly across the country these days. I don't think i arrive at my destination looking my best. So i give my girls all the help I can to get them there in tip top shape.

For our operation at least, since we use the really heavy dury thick MBB's, vacuum sealing is out of the question. Those bags seal at much higher temps and the equipment to vacuum seal them runs close to $1000.00. Some people might argue that vacuum sealing allows you to detect bad seals more easily (and you can) and helps prevent a pin prick hole from allowing odor to escape since the vacuum leak would pull outside air into the bag. MAYBE.

We decided to go with .airbag shipping and use the extra thick outer MBBs as insurance against any chance of leakage. Haven't had a complaint yet.
