I2P - Do you think markets will start moving there?

Just what the title says. I2P can function on a much more anonymous, or invisible level that TOR. I know at least one market went over there, but I'm not sure if it's still even up, or if meet with any real viable success. Also, if I2P is supposed to a good bit more secure than TOR why isn't anyone going over there yet really? From what I've read it seems to offer a lot of nice benefits over TOR. One nice one is it will be a whole last faster from the get go. What do you guys think? What's stopping markets from going to a more secure network, run that will run much vaster, and offers lots of other nice little helpful things that TOR is incapable of?

I tried figuring that shit out about a year ago and it was like reading upsidedown hebrew. I'm sure i'd figure it out if I had to.

TheMarketplace, an i2p market, failed because you needed an MS in Computer Science to buy a gram of weed on there. It was a lovely market which required you to set up i2p (no small task), then figure out multisig transactions on your own since their support staff spoke in a mix of German, English and Assembler.

The Grand Wizard doubts i2p will ever catch on so long as TOR is available and reasonably secure. It offers little benefit over TOR to the end user and requires a great deal more effort and resources.

Beta vs VHS redux. Beta was superior by almost every metric, VHS won the popular vote. I2P is vastly superior security-wise but more resource-intensive, TOR will always be easier to use and will win over all but the most hardcore enthusiasts. I rooted for I2P and ran it for as long as I could, but it will never* gain enough traction for enough critical mass to support markets.

*unless TOR becomes compromised to the point of being completely unsafe.

I2P seems to slow when you first connect. The longer you're connected to the I2P network, the faster the connection seems to get. But for people who just want to hop on a wifi away from home and conduct business, it's way to slow at first.

Proof it's more anonymous? It's less tried and tested that's for sure. It's not DNMs which use Tor over I2P.

Tor is incredibly fast for me. I use to experience network latency but recently I've noticed a speed increase. I'll have to look in to I2P more.
