Question about a 1:1 delivery (OpSec?)

Hey long time listener first time caller here. A buddy of mine was working in a 420-friendly state for the last month. It's a medical state so he had to find somebody but eventually got like 10 dab tanks for a vape pen. Not the wax the honey/liquidy shit. He is a DNM veteran (not this sub specifically, just used to play on the silk road when it was a thing). Thing is, he just mailed these things back in like an Xbox game case thru USPS not thinking about it or giving a fuck. With that type of product what kind of risk did he expose himself to? Ultimately its his life but reading some of the things on here; did he just get lucky? Is the USPS that lax? I was telling him to use DHL or Greyhound courier but by the time he saw my messages he had already dropped it in a mailbox. Just curious. Not like I can afford BTC anyways to satisfy anything more than superficial curiosity.

not much because it doesn't look like the marijuana that most mail personnel are familiar with. IIRC, they do have documents on how to spot drugs and dvd/vhs/cd cases are on that list.

not any more luck than most people with good stealth.

Is the USPS that lax?

under-resourced is what I'd say

He's clearly smarter than you. If you do some basic research, USPS needs a warrant to open your mail. Private couriours, such as the ones you listed, can just open it. They also have better resources, xrays, and equipment to detect drugs.

So much contraband gets shipped through USPS, it's impossible to catch every pack. They simply don't have the logistics to do so. The people that do get caught are the ones who make amateur mistakes... bad packaging (powder leaking/stench of weed/suspicious sounds/etc) are generally the easiset red flags. I get a weekly packs of bud from a medical state, they are triple vaccum sealed, wrapped in a sweater and taped up tight. This is basically as foolproof as it gets. The stuff you're describing hardly has any smell to it, especially inside a game case, inside a shipping box. Sounds like your buddy knows what he's doing.

The amount of packs that go thru USPS a day, along with the fact it wasn't too many dab tanks, would make me assume you should get the package fine. However, next time you need to reiterate the basic OPSEC he should be using.
