i wish there were some way to verify if all of these "LE AT MY DOOR DON'T ORDER FROM (VENDORNAME/COUNTRYNAME)"

because that shit can cause real damage to a vendor's reputation and we have absolutely no idea if these people are telling the truth or not. what is to stop a rival vendor from making a post about their competition, saying that their package had been seized, or worse... it all just seems too convenient most of the time. I mean, obviously we can't literally verify this information, but there definitely needs to be some sort of safeguards in place to prevent false information from being spread around, doesn't there? maybe i'm just rambling but this shit bothers me, and i see it occurring on a daily basis.

Right - this is a problem the community as a whole needs to get behind.

These posts only appear on the front page because we vote it there.

From now on, when these posts happen: demand screenshots, pictures, PROOF that they did in fact order from the vendor on a marketplace (screenshots, blank out identifying details).

Anything involving a love letter and a vendor name should include a picture of the love letter - again, blank out what you need to, but given that it's almost always grammatical / formatting errors that give away these "love letter scams", pictures are a must

I should just make my own subreddit and run a tight fucking ship. (With blackjack and hookers)

Even if the bust is real often it isn't the vendors fault. I found a news story that matched up with what the guy who posted recently said and the people living at his drop were making BHO and selling it from the apartment.

According to charging documents, two students living off campus in an apartment on West Harrison Street were making and selling butane hash oil.

A confidential informant tipped off the Missouri River Drug Task Force and several buys were set up, including one for an ounce of butane hash oil for $850.

Authorities were also tipped off to a package on its way to the apartment containing hundreds of hits of LSD.

He was retarded, why would you use a drop that had ongoing criminal activity?

Yup, I feel the same way but don't know of a good solution. Here's the thing I've always felt - people who legitimately have LE involvement are often too scared (and I don't blame them) to make a post, even if they could safely. Most will shut the fuck up, not post anywhere, and that's that. Maybe months down the road they'll post the story. Its way too easy for someone to create FUD either to damage a vendor or simply b/c there are fucks out there who get laughs out of it.

I figure almost all of the posts talking about CDs or LE are bullshit. Or I at least assume they are until proven otherwise.

Some sort of vouching system would be nice. But then the voucher would have to be someone trusted by both the person reporting AND the community. Tough one to find. If some reporting had someone on the sub that they trusted to a degree, they could maybe have that person vouch that the person doing the reporting is a member who has been around awhile and known to the community. That's the only way I can think its workable if someone wants to post a warning from a throwaway AND not provide any proof. Note that the vouching system really only works if the person doing the reporting is active here AND the voucher is active here. You'd always have the problem of authenticity with lurkers - they really can't be vouched for.

A: Nothing. This has been happening on every dnm-related forum since SR1, if not before. As far as I'm concerned the only recourse is to read every single post like Rashomon.

Posting proof would be incriminating yourself.

That's true unfortunately that's what's going on with /r/quantikxanax but I don't believe all the bullshit he's still one of the most honest/reliable vendors I've dealt with in the last year and a half!

Anytime I see an all caps topic name I don't even bother reading nor clicking it.

what we need to do is what /u/gwern suggested, get the fuck off of reddit and go the hub or any onion based forum where we can have anonymity, look at how many posts the user has and judge from there, everyone here makes throw aways for every sensitive thing they post, it just doesn't work!
