DNM for Medicinal-Therapeutic Use

Been talking here and there and the question sometimes comes up:

How many out there are buying substances on DNMs for medicinal-therapeutic purposes? (either for yourself or on behalf of someone else)

Note: This could include marijuana, mdma, lsd, psilocybin, ketamine, 2C-B, Mescaline, DMT, ibogaine, etc, all of which have some degree of therapeutic application according to current scientific evidence.

So... painkillers cannot be used medically, even for people with legitimate chronic pain? That's why painkillers are prescribed but the vast majority of the drugs you just listed are not.

Let the circlejerking begin.

Of course. Be it a strain that's impossible to find in an intolerant state that is best suited for the symptoms, pharmaceuticals that have become nearly impossible to get prescribed for legitimate ailments, ANYBODY buying ibogaine as I'm pretty sure it's not exactly pleasant but can be a life-changer for a lot of people. Even the people who buy mushrooms not to trip, but because somehow they temporarily rid them of debilitating "cluster headaches" I believe they're called. Saddest part of the war on drugs is many people caught up in it are, in fact, using it to treat some condition, whether they understand the therapeutic benefits or not. A lot of people who use illegal drugs are self-medicating for a condition they likely have never been diagnosed for, but what they're doing helps, so they continue with it. Would love to see the laws shift towards treatment rather than incarceration

I was on SSRI's (4 different ones), SNRI's (2 different ones) and occasional benzos and antipsychotics (don't know, maybe 4?) for a little over 4 years, during which time I attempted suicide ~5 times and did quite a lot of self harm (~1/3rd of the skin surface of my thighs is scar tissue, also some fairly big scars on my arms and torso) and was generally non-functional (most weeks I only got out of bed for a few hours). After trying ketamine my depression is gone, if I dose about once every 2-4 weeks it stays gone (have tried other NMDAR antagonists with good-but-not-as-good results), and I can actually enjoy life and do shit with it.

Yay for crime.

I don't mean to step on anybody's foot, but uh, ah dod dah day, ah dod dah day, hey! LOL. I don't see any reason why it would be against the law for states to allow for inter-state commerce of medical marijuana and recreational marijuana. If California and Colorado can tell the feds the fuck off and stop dipping in their Kool-Aid like they should, then that would be nice. Federalism is not a fixed thing, you guys. Remember this. It's a thing in constant flux. And We are the feds that I am referring to because we are The People. It's that simple. Federalism is simply a concept. The government is subservient to The People. The government is just hired hands, elected and employed and payed by us to do the jobs we have set them out to do. Let us all remember this. Amen.

Purely recreational activities are necessary to maintain a healthy mind, so do you mean substances to treat a specific, physical condition? If I use drugs as a tool for achievement, am I likely using drugs to treat a yet unnamed, arbitrary mental condition (give it to me straight dog, how bad is my ADHDizzles?)

[1 Points] meta_frequency:

Well, I'd have to say medicinal, therapeutic and recreational all overlap each other and are sometimes inseparable from each other. I/we am/are seeing this new era usher in quickly before our eyes, even though I know we all are impatient and intolerant of those we label "others" or "governments" or anyone/anything impeding our personal liberties, and let's just keeping doing what we are doing with INTEGRITY and try our best to be our idea of ETHICAL and we should be fine. Always do your best, be impeccable with your word, don't make assumptions, and don't take things personally. That is the Toltec Wisdom for you lovers of Carlos Castaneda and any dabblers into the occult or shamanism.

I personally buy marijuana for medical use as i am in a state that doesn't have MM yet, hopefully soon. On here i can look for specific strains that have the qualities i need for my disorders. If i want recreational i just get it local. I can get some good local, but my locals never seem to know the strain they have, so i never trust it for my medicinal needs.

The nightly news is enough to require massive amounts of many drugs. Reality Sucks.

Fucking Vote man. Rand Paul is only candidate that wants to end the war on drugs. He derserves our support and vote.

2016 will be a game changer one way or the other. Marijuana legalization looks to pass in Ohio, Arizona, and others. Rand is elected and defunds the DEA. It could happen if all drug users voted.

I know down vote like a step child!

I use etizolam therapeutically since end of last year. I sometimes have fun, but who doesnt? But it's one of the only things that helps me, and I make a little last alpt, because it's only for my anxiety etc. So thank god for the DNM, idk what'd I'd do, cuz fuck xanax n all that.
