Time to walk away?

A recent transaction from a well known vendor with a good reputation, both here and elsewhere, has taken an odd turn and I would like to hear your advice.

The purchase was made on SR2, with full knowledge of the CAUTION sticker in the sidebar. Previous customers, feedback and the fact this vendor operates in different markets gave me enough confidence to make the purchase.

I took the risk to have the package shipped internationally, and after an extended period of time it just didn't arrive. After my purchase and the package being shipped a note went up on the vendors profile stating my particular country is now buy at your own risk due to a recent high capture rate by customs.

I contacted the vendor, provided proof of the purchase and they agreed it must have been captured. They offered me a re-ship or refund.. Considering the risk I opted for a refund and provided an address to have the purchase price minus fees refunded to.

Once this was done 2 days elapsed, and I got a bit nervous so I sent another message asking what was taking so long. I have now got two messages from the vendor, with a bit of a harsh tone telling me the woes of being a vendor, and the good thing they are doing for me, and telling me because of my attitude I now get to wait another day for the refund. The second message they start questioning me on my intentions for feedback and are now holding the refund as hostage for a positive feedback, with specific text they wrote out to verify the feedback was left.

So.... I knew they risk, I made the purchase. Should I:

I would prefer to get the funds back and move onto a more domestic supply chain to avoid this issue in future, but I know how DNM doesn't appreciate some of these tactics.

DNM, have at it. What do you say?

PS: I am sure the vendor frequents Reddit, so this is all staying as anonymous and neutral as possible from my end.

Your vendor is being a little bitch. He's extorting positive feedback from you. Say his name on here, whine about it, make a scene.

If he says he's going to give you a refund, but doesn't give you a refund, that's shitty.

If he's holding positive feedback as a reward for your refund, that's shitty. If he's holding back your refund, which he said he would give in the first place, he doesn't deserve positive feedback.

Don't cave in. This is extortion. Tell him you're not going to give in to this bullshit, and if he doesn't send your refund, slam his name on here, on the forums, and fuck this guy over.

The customer is always right.

Unfortunately, I don't think u will be getting your refund. Just like in a real hostage situation, the vendor probably has no intention of giving your money back after he gets his feedback. IMO I think your best move is to tell him if he gives you your refund immediately, you will drop the whole thing and won't make a big deal. Otherwise, he gets a shitty feedback, and you make a big post on here and the forums that's he's a scammer and that everyone should stay clear. Best of luck my friend

if the vendor operates on different markets why did you use sr2? surely on site escrow is better than none. If the vendor frequents reddit and is fraudlant even after sr2 feedback you can expose him on here and refer to this post as proof. See if you can edit old feedback and if you can maybe pander to him although that sets a bad president. hope you didnt lose to much btc

Couldn't you get the refund and then change the feedback to a more honest version afterwards? Or are you on a site that doesn't allow you to modify your feedback?

You're not getting a refund. Leave honest feedback for the rest of the community.

I think I'd probably post their lies and try to get my refund. It also does depend on how much I'd be losing if I didn't get the money back. Most people are more interested in forum or reddit reviews than vendor page reviews anyway so you could always expose him there after if it doesn't work out. If it does work out, your lies become true and everyone is happy. Clearly far from an ideal situation but I wish you the best of luck.

I'd reveal the vendor. Can you edit already posted feedback on SR?

if you can afford it I would leave the negative feedback and forgetthe refund. It helps teh communicity.. vendors like this are a dime a dozen.. they have your address, your drugs, your money, and manipulate their feedback using this leverage.

ive seen it first hand and been approached in this same way.

walk away - im in australia - it happens and is expected - marketing and real lif are 2 different things - i dont think i have ever had a re-ship or refund - its sent its seized - well its our loss, atleast the vendor was giving it his best shot - thats all i ask - cause 8/10 arrive...it would take 4 loses from overseas vendor to be equal to one of the same product buying locally

You got burned man, time to cut your losses and at least help out the others in the community by naming this vendor and giving them poor feedback.

Give us name so people can avoid him

Just tell him you'll make a stink on reddit and the forums. 9 out of 10 DNM buyers don't even know this is an option (probably how they get stuck buying from shit vendors in the first place). But once the vendor knows that you know what's up, they almost always cave in. If not, take it up with support and if he is extorting you through messaging they WILL side with you.
