A Request for all Cannabis Edibles Vendors

Please let us know if the edibles contain allergens!

Here's a list:

Obviously things like fish and shellfish likely won't be in your cannabis edibles, but I thought it was important to include all of 'em, just in case.

I feel this is important, because I'd hate to be the buyer with the milk allergy or lactose intolerance who buys an edible containing milk chocolate.

Thanks!

EDIT Many of you make the obvious (and correct) point that people should take responsibility for their own dietary restrictions. I agree, and I can see how my post might have misled you, so let me clear this up: I am not complaining that vendors don't do this. I'm simply saying that it would be nice if they did.

I don't know how often vendors get asked about allergen information, but I'm willing to bet that any vendor that posts their edibles without listing the ingredients will get an email now and then. It seems to me that it would be easier to just post "CONTAINS MILK," or list the ingredients, rather than having to answer emails.

And, bottom line, it shows that you care about your customers. It only takes a couple seconds to look up a list of common food allergies to see if you used any, and a couple seconds more to include that information in a listing before you post it.

So yeah, if you have a food allergen, take care of it like you've always done. Obviously.

But if you're an edible vendor, consider this a request from a hopeful customer.

How about if you've got a food allergy you message the vendor asking if the edible is safe for you? You know, taking responsibility for your own health like people used to instead of expecting other people to do it. Restaurants don't list every single thing people could be allergic to on the menu and you don't see people expecting them to.

Alright heres what I think. For one side yes , vendors who sell edibles need to list the contents of the edible in case theres and allergen. But on the other side if youre allergic to peanuts YOU FUKCING ASK BEFORE EATING SOMETHING.

Shit its your life man, take care of it.

Most edibles will contain some lactose as they'll be made with butter. Exceptions will be certain hash and oil made hard candies for example.

Personally I mention that my products are made in a nut, wheat and meat containing kitchen. It's all in the cupboard and I do wipe down several times very well.

I've actually refused sale to someone based on them asking, as they had a really bad nut allergy. I actually suspect they just signed up again and ordered the following day, but a good review was left so I guess they were alright!

I even list my ingredients so people can re-create the toffee with the butter!

My shop is closed right now tho.
