USPS Tracking Date Suddenly Change?

Just earlier today I received an update on an order via myusps and it said the delivery date would be Tuesday. I got an update a little while ago that showed it's next move but the delivery date was listed as being one day later, Tuesday. Is there still a chance I might get it on Monday or did they somehow change their mind? Just wondering if anyone knew about something like this happening.

Ehh, it does that sometimes. I've had it go either way though? Sometimes it comes on that Monday and sometimes it arrives on Tuesday.

Wonky things like this happens with tracking when a pack is running late. Even the actual scan timestamps can change if there hasn't been an update within a specific period of time (I think its 24 hours without a scan). In other words, I've seen timestamps on say a "Pack departed facility" change.

I'd say that while its possible you'd get it by the original date (especially if it was simply b/c it missed a scan or two but is still moving), the new date is more probable.

Could simply be a glitch or fluke with tracking or it may be a result of the package not meeting its initial prediction or deadline by either getting temporary misplaced, lost, not getting on the truck/plane in time before takeoff, or poor time calculations along with a million other reasons. It's honestly not something anyone can really guess on as far as a delivery date.

Simply put, USPS tracking can be funky or strange and the worst thing you can do is to worry this early on in the shipping stage. Also, definitely don't check your tracking constantly (not saying you are) as some believe this can set off some type of trigger/alert and generate suspicion while also effecting your plausibility if you constantly check tracking and have you accessing tracking linked to your location or device. We've all done it but best thing you can do is to just relax, sit back, and wait. You can start getting concerned if it's been 7+ days for domestic orders or 28+ days for international orders. Also, keep in mind if you're in the US that this past week was the 4th of July holiday thus creating a bit of a backlog of mail and them playing g catch-up.
