Its a normal working day here in the UK. But in the US, there's no post.
I'll let you into a vendor secret. On public holidays, bored vendors gather on forums, having already selected a target, then we damn them with faint praise in the hope that customers will read between the lines.
Not all public holidays are equal. This one coincides with all the post Evo intake on marketplace forums hitting the "4 month wall".
Vendors, moderators, market admins and even normal darknet customers who spend a lot of time on forums like this suffer from a phenomenon called "TOR-fatigue". I think its the constant uncertainty, intrigue and speculation, with everybody pushing theu=ir secret agendas which gradually erodes the psyche.
It builds up bit-by-bit and people tend to hit a "wall" at the 4-month point, where they lose all sense of perspective. They actually go a little bit nuts. Vendors scam, trolls take it too far, and shills start to believe themselves. So many vendors fail at the 4 month point, but if they can get past that without cracking up, they learn to step away from places like forums when they're tired. But even the most level-headed vendors miss the post deadline because they're hammering away angrily on a keyboard about something that feels like the most important thing in the world.
Talking of post, I need to go and post my orders. But when I get back, I'm getting the popcorn in. I think this is going to be the big crazy one this year.
Things said on forums like this don't make a blind bit of difference at the end of the day. Its just a bunch of tired boys sitting at laptops. But there is a big hump of reddit users who joined 3 or 4 months ago, and for them, it will be totally real.
You old hands know that the only real, important things on the darknet are drugs and bitcoins. Everything else is just hot air, empty talk and bruvado. but its still fun sometimes.
A public holiday. Bored vendors missing the intrigue. Easy-to-wind-up darknet novices. And just the right length of time since a big darknet exit which is still unfolding. Even the mods on this subreddit are nearing that 4 month danger point. Hopefully they will get dragged in instead of keeping order. Sportsmen shouldn't brawl on the pitch, but we secretly like to see brawls when the ref loses control.
The perfect storm. I can't wait to see who the target is.
What the fuck are you talking about
