[GeneralQuestions] P.O. Box Free Extras

Just sprang for one of them fancy tin cans, you know, for my eBay purchases.

While I was going through the process, one thing that came up was regarding the Free Extras for the P.O. Boxes. If I remember correctly, one was in which they would sign packages that require it for you by storing your signature in the computer. Another was for E-Mail or Text Messages for when items are delivered to the box. Last was being able to use a different formatting for the address, thus providing a "real" address for shipping, as opposed to a blatant P.O. Box.

I signed up for all of those.

What do you think about the OPSEC?

It was funny, the teller asked me "do you do any online purchases?" and I kinda spun in my head, like, "yeah I do, that's why I'm here" but then nonchalantly asked "oh, like Amazon? Yeah!"... Yeah, Amazon, that's the one...

WTF? None of this was fucking mentioned when I just got my PO box not so long ago. I would love a text when I get a pack. Damn

If a pack was found, handed over to le would the reformatted address not go against you? If you were to say you never ordered it why would it be sent to an address only you would/should know about (except who you ordered from) ??

While those places will sign for you, you will still have to sign for the package youself. They sign on your behalf so they can receive the package, but then you have to sign so there is a signature "chain" - proof that you received it

Don't know that this matters, but having them sign for you really doesn't change anything.

THose are pretty much standard options and I feel they are acceptable.... doesnt change the odds of you getting arrested.

What will nip you in the butt first is talking to the police if something was to happen. Everything else is secondary to that...
