running my own clearnet monero local node as a remote node in tails on a different machine

lets say i have my clearnet laptop running its own local node with the blockchain downloaded and all that. then lets say i configure the monero command-line interface on a separate machine running tails and i want to connect to a remote node to cut down on sync time, specifically the local node i run from my clearnet laptop.

first of all, does anyone see any reason why this wouldn't work? and secondly, are there any opsec flaws i'm missing? i feel like this could be the most secure way to use monero since you aren't dealing with any random remote node which could snag some metadata about your transactions

**i considered posting this in the noobs sub but i dont think its considered a 'noob' question

Try /r/monero

why don't you tunnel your clearnet node through torproxy as a hidden service? so you can connect your tails wallet over tor to you .onion and there are no links to your clearnet ip...
