And the AlphaBay noob of the day award goes to...me. When they say don't click on ANY links they mean it.

Got took for over $200 in BTC on Alpha by clicking a link sent to me in a forum message saying I needed to link my Buyer and Forum accounts. They took my account over and added 2FA (Bonehead move #2) so I can't get back in. Before anybody says anything, I'm not complaining one bit, I'm addicted to this world and it's not for amateurs. Just passing along info so the next person doesn't get screwed like me. It was small price to pay for a swift kick in the ass but it's easily avoidable.

Thanks for the info. We should try and learn from each others mistakes. Sorry it happened though. At least you're not being a bitch about it. Keep yo head up Soulja.

That phishing method has been going on for months.

I hope you learnt your lesson.

I almost lost coins in a similar way on Agora. Someone sent a link to a new market and it looked nice but once you clicked register it instantly opened like 30 Agora tabs and I read

"Cannot withdraw 1.0 BTC, insufficient funds."
"Cannot withdraw 0.5 BTC, insufficient funds."
"Cannot withdraw 2.0 BTC, insufficient funds."

Those are just an example, I don't remember exactly what it says, but you get the point. The lucky part for me is I didn't have any money on the website.

Thanks for manning up and admitting what you now know to be wrong and +1 for coming here to explain and try and help another down the line!
