Vendors charging for reships

so, let say a vendor A sells very cheap but asks for a percentage for reships in case something happens.. against a vendor B who sell more expensive and gives you 100% warranty on reships...(both vendor sell exactly the same product, same quality, quantity, etc)

vendor A sells at $42 including shipping and charges 35% for reships. Vendor B sells at $75 including shipping and gives you free reship.

lets say 1/10 packages get lost, which offer is the most interesting?

Well using your numbers, expected cost of Vendor A is about $43-$44. if you use the 10% loss number, expected cost of re ship would be 10% of re ship cost.

The loss number you present is actually very high. Less than a 1/100 loss rate for domestic. But I don't like the idea of not warranting the ship, regardless of price. a "lost" shipment is a big concern. I always get th feel if a vendor doesn't warranty a shipment, there's a problem. It might be unfair but it just feels like a way to lock a sale and then have a hidden fee when your pack happens to not make it.

in my case, im an international seller, im selling top quality product for the cheapest price available.. wouldn't the buyer be willing to share the risk with me?? i don't make any money off a 35% refund, its just to cover costs. of course that 1/10 losts packages even for international orders is exaggerated, im being drastic. The other option its just factoring in the % of the losts packs and add it to the price and offer free reship...but that might be unfair with some customers that live in countries where the customs are more "soft" than others. My reasoning being that if you have a strict custom probably the drugs sell at a higher price, since im selling cheap, its not crazy that someone who buys off me is willing to have some skin on the game with me. Obviously that if the case is a customer i trust, it would be "cheap"on my part to be charging... but its just a thing i wrote down in my profile which i can wave if the customer have the credibility or trust.

Do you realllllly want a reship though? Pack is potentially in the hands of LE and theyre possibly watching you more closely now. Maybe I'm just paranoid but...
