follow-up; getting a little nervous about whether I'm in trouble

so, I posted this the other night https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/2qkyw7/po_box_did_i_do_something_wrong_also_opsec/ and I'm a little worried now.

tbh I didn't even consider I'd have "fucked up," as that top comment says I did. I just have read so many people's accounts on here and almost never hear about people getting busted, and the whole ordering two packages thing didn't register as any riskier than ordering one, as long as the stealth is right (both vendors I've ordered from have good reviews on that count)

so okay, I'm an idiot, fair enough. anyway, it's the 29th and still nothing.

I'm nervous bc both these guys have a reputation for shipping promptly, and all their reviews are talking about "came in 3 days even during xmas" and it's day nine or ten for me? on BOTH packages from different vendors?

if I have fucked up, what do you think I should do? how do you think the cops will handle it? will they just seize the packages as contraband and leave it at that? will they wait for me to pick up the packages and just arrest me? also, how much plausible deniability can I claim to have with two different illicit orders coming to a PO box I just opened? like, I'm fucked, right? no one will buy that I didn't order it myself.

I messaged both of them about the tracking, one of the vendors hasn't signed in since he shipped the order, and the other hasn't responded though has signed in since I sent it. I opened a dispute on the one that was marked shipped on the 16th since it auto-finalizes in a few hours, but that's the vendor that hasn't signed in since then. gonna dispute the other tomorrow if I haven't gotten anything by then

so fuck. I'm kinda flipping out. don't even care about getting the shit at this point

No one can really answer these questions for you. Anybody who gives you answers is just guessing. Even if someone knows what a cop might do, they don't know what the cops who are dealing with your case are GOING to do. All you can do is take care of your business and try to make the outcome based on the situation NOW as good as possible for you.

If you get arrested, shut the fuck up and only talk to a lawyer. Practice saying, "I don't want to answer any questions. I want to talk to a lawyer." Do it in front of a mirror. Make it your mantra.

Since no one else has said it.

Clean house. Whatever is going to happen with those packages is out of your control, so do what you can with what is in your control. Destroy/get rid of everything that you think might come back to bite you in the ass if a cop were to see it.

Best case scenario: You get your packages, maybe eat a financial hit depending on how much contraband you have in your house, and you laugh about it later.

Worst case scenario: You end up with a cop tearing through your house, but at least you can rest easy knowing that he is just wasting his time.

Could possibly ordering a bunch of random clearnet shit give you some type of denialbility? You could check out /r/freebies and send some spam . get 1, 2-3 day orderings off of Amazon? Find a way to say you posted the P.O box somewhere online and someone hates you?

I'm just shooting off ideas of what you could do in this situation other than to wait it out and hope for the best.

Did you even order anything worth them busting you for? Probably small quantity domestic shit you're getting paranoid over anyway

[3 Points] deletedLink:

Was the shipping US domestic? It matters. Packages shipped by domestic have a high bar for searching. It has to be something pretty obvious to get a search warrant.

In some rare cases such as this they may attempt a "controlled delivery."

This is when they try to make you sign for the package before receipt. This will prove that you are taking responsibility for the contents of the package. Obvious advice, DO NOT SIGN FOR SHIT.

The second method that can be done is a delivery, followed by a search warrant to find the contraband. For these packages, when you get them, I'd recommend that you DO NOT OPEN THEM for at least two weeks. Just let them sit in your house. Should they attempt this method, you are going to claim that they were not your packages (b/c you didn't sign) and you were planning on taking them backu to the post office, still unopened, for return shipping.

If it was international, chances are that it would have been seized at customs. That would result in a seizure letter, in which, your address will be flagged and you'll have to go to customs to claim your item. Obviously, do not go to customs if you get this letters and avoid ordering to the same address for quite some time (e.g. ~3 years).

Why is it a bad thing to order two different packages at the same time?

This is the first time you've used the box, are you sure you wrote down the right number?

Maybe its sitting a few PO boxes down from yours.

If its something small i wouldnt worry to much. clean house.

Opening a PO box shouldnt cause this or any suspicion whats so ever. I don't think the local post office workers even look at packages twice.

The sorting facilties is where they catch the packs. With the automated sorting maschines scanning return address and autmatically profiling.

If its already at your local PO, your safe. So a PO box shouldn't be any reason to worry..

Clean house and forget about it. Its not healthy or beneficial to project into the future like that. Until something happens then worrying will accomplish nothing.

Hey man, in all honesty, the most probable thing that happened is your products didn't get shipped yet, got shipped later than claimed, or getting scammed. I'll be the millionth to say it, but shipping can be slow. The chances of seizure for domestic is really low, while not impossible, its not the most probable thing that happened. What i mentioned are far more likely. You haven't gotten any response from the vendor which is telling. Vendors can also selectively scam as well so keep that in mind. At this point, I wouldn't worry more than any of us should worry.

Follow /u/LongLiveThe_King's advice as this is all you can do right now. Personally, I always maintain a clean house anytime a shipment is in transit. But follow his sage advice as its the most important thing you can do at this point.

Also, /u/shatterreview has a very good point - are you positive that you put in the right address? Right box number? Right zip code? I know on my PO Box, the zip code is different that I expected it to be. Hopefully you didn't put the wrong box number down. The vendors should be providing tracking and seeing what the hell is going on. The fact they aren't being helpful leads me to believe that its something on the vendors' side that is going on. It is a little odd both packages are late, but hey, it happens. Make sure you dispute before it auto finalizes. That should get their attention and you should get a reply from the vendors.

Sorry to hear but don't flip out yet. Just be prepared. Clean house, know your rights, and above all, should the unthinkable happen, your right to an attorney and your right to remain silent will be your best friends. Do not deny. Do not make excuses. Do not admit to anything. Shut up. Obviously if I were accused of such a crime, I'd let the police know that I find the charges to be serious and I need to speak with an attorney before proceeding. Remember, they need to prove their case, you don't need to disprove it. Most people fuck up b/c they open their mouths and end up saying something they shouldn't. Cops are pros. They know their job. You are not a pro in this regard. You won't win a discussion with them.

Again, its always good to be prepared and know how to respond should that happen to you, but I think you don't need to worry so much at this point. I know easier said than done, I've flipped out before for less, but right now, there are other explanations for not receiving your pack that are way more likely. Best of luck, follow the advice here, there's a lot of good advice. Keep the community posted if you would.
