figuring out this monero opsec

I read this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/5e3zfz/easy_guide_to_monerotailstor/)[this] which seems pretty thorough, but the thing is I don't have a flash drive with 20gb of space for the blockchain, and also the whole ~48 hour download is a bit long (my tails computer is a piece of shit). would it be safe opsec to use the thing where it gets the blockchain from the internet?

also the computer itself (not my tails usb) is running linux mint, would it make more sense to set up monero on that and route it through tor somehow? my plan is to send monero from my clearnet windows computer to this computer(either installed on tails or mint) and then to the market.

Fml, I wish electrum (or an equivalent) worked with monero. I would just use btc but monero is more secure and the price doesn't seem to flip flop all over the place as much. The last thing I want is to buy btc and by the time it gets to the market it isn't enough.

Monero is different then bitcoin. transactions are not public. if you run a monero wallet/ node on your regular everday computer nobody will know how much or were you spend your monero. The only thing that someone could find out it that you run a monero node. Monero would be alot better ospec to be used on tails, but its not like bitcoin in the sense that people can snoop on your transactions by the sever you connect to to broadcast transactions.

Why don't you get a 64GB USB stick, these things cost nothing. The blockchain ends up being 30GB+ . Keep in mind that even if you import the raw file it will take around 30 hours. I prefer this, as you have control of the wallet

if you dont want the whole blockchain, just use a web wallet or an app (coinomi).
