I'm working on a Research paper about the morality and justified use of Darknet markets, Tor, and bitcoin!

I'm currently enrolled in a university english class and decided to write a research paper on the darknet, bitcoin, tor, and any other related topics I may have missed. I was hoping you guys on r/darknetmarkets could provide me with some solid ideas to consider or include in my research and paper. For the most part, my focus is on the morality and justification of using these. Also, the value behind using Tor and bitcoin as a tool for privacy or any other use. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Heres the appeal: its safe, convenient and easy. Period. No need for some clusterfuck of a quasi intellectual mindless drivel.

do yourself (and us) a favor and find a new topic.

I think it would make more sense to make an argument for Tor (or a similar anonymity network) in general.

That way, you could touch on dark net markets, Wikileaks, Snowden revelations and other services found on the deep web.

It would also be interesting to touch on things like the DEA money laundering scheme from SilkRoad.

The purpose is to allow, previously only technically-advanced users, now the common person to access restricted information/services outside of the influence of laws.

You could then segway into the efforts of authorities to thwart/extinguish the access to these services.

Essentially it creates a true market, where vendors actually have to compete, rather than on the streets, where most of the time you go with the first guy that can hook you up.

With DNMs there are far more options to the buyer and the result is better products at better prices!

Honestly, what better way to out yourself then to write an in-depth analysis on one of the sketchyiest things you can possibly do on a computer?

If you were giving a speech in some off-site theatre, I'd applaud you. But do you know what this paper is doing currently?

It's merely going to paint a permanant target on your back by anyone your teacher decides to tell, not to even mention if you have to give a presentation on it after the fact.

We do not need publicity, we have waaaaay to much already, hence, why the net appears to be getting tighter every day.

If you'r trying to change the world, this isn't doing it, if your trying to get a bad rep, as well as expose something that could bring increased scruiteny to your mail room, be all of our guests. Nobody here has any thanks to give you for it.

This idea is idiotic. Whats the first rule of fight club?
