Unexpected Package

So I got a call from the post office saying I got a package. I haven't ordered anything in 2 months except an Oz which came 2 days ago. I only use this mailbox for DNM (sort of stupid I know). I just want to make sure this isn't some kind of trick by LE before I go up there. What do you guys think?

I've seen vendors with bad organizational skills. Twice, by two different vendors, I've been sent 2 orders. Not extras, but two packages both with exactly what I ordered.

I also once got an order that was canceled, because the vendor didn't realize I was an overseas customer until after he sent it. He refunded me figuring it would never make it to my address. About two months later, it showed up.

You might be in for a surprise from a disorganized vendor.

And I agree with others, if you name and address are filed with the mailbox, I'd expect them to just come to your house, instead of waiting around at the Post Office for you to show up.

Maybe they pay you a visit after you pick it up? Do you order large amounts of controlled substances? If you're worried, pick it up, clean house, and don't open the box for a few days.

Yeah because instead of coming to your fucking house and arresting you, they are going to make you go to the post office and pick up a package you never ordered.

So the post office called?? Is that SOP? I've never had a call from the post office regarding a package. I've bad shit sit in my PO Bix for a while. All legit stuff. So if OP got a pack 2 days ago I take this to mean he visited his PO Box 2 days ago at the longest. So a pack sits for at most 2 days and they call? I could maybe understand if a pack was about to be sent back but even in that case I can't recall post office ever calling me.

Has anyone else ever gotten a call from post office regarding any sort of mail waiting for them?

I have heard of postal inspectors calling people with po boxes before and getting them to try and come in to pick up the package. The recording I heard had the inspector giving some lame excuse like he needed to pay some sort of extra postage...

does sound a little fishy that they actually called you.
