Immodium AD Overdoses

Came across this. I guess people are ODing on lope. So FDA might find something else to fucking regulate. I remember a long time ago use lope to cope with withdrawals and you have to take insane doses to feel something ever so slight. And it's not worth dealing with the other effects. I don't know how people who swallow dozens of pills do it and not have their intestines explode. Lol

It looks like they're talking about immodium AD which has other vitamins and minerals besides lopermide. If you buy the regular immodium, there is only lopermide what is what you want to help with withdrawals. You don't want all the other shit that comes with the "multi symptom" A-D formula. I can see taking 10-15 of those pills causing problems.

I saw this is USAToday the other day. I just dont get it. Couple of deaths in article I saw.

I used to see threads on drug forum about people who were now addicted to the lope. Apparently its a real bitch to get off because of its long half-life. Then there's the heart problems associated with using too much for too long.

Best to just use it to stop the shits and use a combination of other things. I've got access to a lot of "comfort meds" already, but having the dnms reassures me if I ever have to get off the methadone, that it wont be as bad as other occasions when I had nothing.

The article i read on it said the loperimide wasn't the problem, it was the other components in the Immodium that caused the issues. It sounds like cold water extracting the Loperimide would decrease the dangers just like doing the same to pain meds with APAP.

I speculate that the people who ended up in the hospital were taking ridiculous doses to try and get enough of the loperimide across the blood brain barrier to feel good before the pathway got shut down and blocks most of the medication from passing the barrier.

Also, not being able to shit for a week straight tends to cause heart issues due to a full colon putting pressure on the Vagus nerve. Constipation from opiates and straining on the toilet caused Elvis Presley to have a heart attack. I can see something similar still being serious but not deadly to a younger person in better health.

ive used lope plenty of times myself. never heard of a death from it. thats nuts. i knew a kid a long time ago that was actually addicted to lope. the amounts he would take were astounding. that shits not particularly cheap either.

I've been using lope for some time. It almost completely ends symptoms of w/d for me. It seems to be variable. A few people can get high off it. Most folks find it helps for w/d, and a few people get nothing. Mega-dosing can cause cardiac arrhythmia and sudden death. Also, there is risk of bowel obstruction/injury.

I keep OD'ing by drinking way to much water causing my sodium levels to plummet. I nearly die every time I drink way to much water.

Ya i buy the generaic stuff from walmart for 88cents a box. I take a box a day. Took one this morning with 12 2mg pills in it thats 24mg. so you dont feel anything but you don't get dope sick which is awsome. No RLS at night no hot n colds, kinda a life saver cents i moved an havent been able to find a steady connect. it sucks.

It "can" help. Enough said.

Loperamide and Kratom can be a godsend when trying to kick a heroin habit. I tried a few times to get "high" from loperamide but never was really successful.
