My cat is in the final stages of renal failure and we are trying to make her life as comfortable as possible. She is nearly 18 years old, and her problems keep growing. Her most recent problem is we believe she has high blood pressure due to many symptoms such as blindness, and hot ears, and her last vet visit the doctor told us she believed she had it.
We don't want to take her to the vet again because it is a very traumatic experience for her, and she shakes in fear every time. I am looking for enalapril, linisopril, benazepril, or captopril. I would appreciate any information you guys know of.
edit: I made this post without my girlfriends knowledge. Upon her knowledge of it, she is very uncomfortable self medicating, and we will probably try to find a veterinarian that makes house calls. Thank you all for your advice.
Maybe you should get her put out of her misery rather than prolonging her life uncomfortably and artificially.
