I just got a restricted call from someone saying that they were a Fed-Ex employee that has a package for me and cannot find my address. He said that there was no number on my apartment. However, there is. I said I was out of state. He asked if I could pick it up at the Fed-Ex location and I said I could when I get back. It seems ridiculous that the Fed-Ex employee would not be able to find my door, or someone have my phone number.
What should I do? Should I call Fed-Ex and tell them the situation and it seems suspicious and ask where the package is from? Or go there and open it up and see if it is something I legally ordered? Or just completely ignore it?
It's possible it could be another thing that I ordered from over seas but why would it be being delivered by Fed-Ex?
Thoughts?
My darknet package tracking says it was at a USPS facility in my state and then left to go across the country to another state and is now coming back.
EDIT: I just called the facility and told them the situation, he said it was strange that the person who called did not give me a tracking number or describe the package. The employee at the facility said that I should exercise caution when accepting the package and do not give out any personal information over the phone. He also said that the package will be out for delivery next week and that he could not confirm the legitamacy of the call I received.
My gut tells me something isn't quite right.
Were you expecting a DNM package?
