That's what mailboxes are for. They'll leave you a note if it doesn't fit...

An Express package has to be signed for unless the sender specifically told them to waive signature. If signature is waived, they put a sticker on it to alert the carrier.
Vendors know this.
If it fits they will. Unless a sig is required, which is rare.
