The end of dark net markets!?

Hey everyone -

The number of negative posts re the once hallowed SR coupled with whats going on with Agora and Utopia etc seem to show a community that is in decline...Or at least one with serious issues.

What do people think.. Is this the beginning of the end for DW markets or the potential beginning of something else?

Yeah, few months ago = 2-3 markets

today - 20 - 30

Looks like the end.

I doubt it. Everybody needs a place to get their fix.

The model of SR as we know it... yes.

Basically, escrow is the problem. Either we move towards the future and decentralized escrow, or we go back to being a community of trust doing direct deals. But current escrow model is unsustainable when there's 10 constantly changing entities competing for the privilege of holding everyone's money on no basis whatsoever.

I agree with you on the point that people will always need their fix but at what cost? If marketplaces continue to have apparent security holes and shitty service as well as numerous scams kicking of every now and then - surly it becomes far easier to get "your fix" the traditional way.

People have been predicting the end of DNM's since before tSR went down. I don't see it.
