LibertyX Discussion

Hey guys,

I've been using LibertyX at various retailers around my area (I live close to a city) and I'm beginning to see some issues with it. I'm making this post to determine whether or not it's location specific or if it's nationwide.

1) LibertyX skeets the retailers. Of the 7 retailers (only 3 provided the service) I bought pins at, I found out that the 3 received only like $1.50 per pin sold, regardless of how much the pin was worth. This led to one of the three retailers charging me an extra 10% to buy pins to compensate for LibertyX's lack of compensation.

2) Most retailers are unaware that they even provide such a service...at least their employees are. 4/7 did not know what the hell LibertyX was or what a Qpay pin was. At one of the ones who refused service, I talked to an employee, then a manager, and then the owner, who acknowledged that they had such a service but still refused to sell me a pin. ??!?!

3) LibertyX is still super low-key. Found out recently at one of the three retailers I go to regularly, that only I and one other person go there for pins. I plan to ask at the other ones and see who else uses the service.

Anyway, my main concern is #1. From a business perspective, this is almost like highway robbery to the retailers that provide the service. I understand that to keep the bitcoin rates as close to conversion rates as possible, they have to do this. But at this rate I may as well return to using LBC because with that 10% fee it's ridiculous.

What? He should not have charged you 10%. You got scammed bro.

I've only used one store and no problems. Hell, they don't even check the bills to see if they are real.

There are so many close to me that I would just go there and if they asked for anything more than what I want I would just walk out.

You must be doing some volume if 10% is ridiculous.

I think the issues with LibertyX are nationwide cause I've tried to use their service on both costs and ran into the same problems you did. I've visited several stores that supposedly offered it according to LibetyX's site. But was only able to buy from 1 and that was after I happened to visit a 2nd store owned by the same person of one I visited the previous day & didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I guess when he saw me the 2nd day at different store for the same thing he took pity on me and decided to look into it. I was able to finally buy the pins! The other problem I've run into is the stores listed on their site aren't always up to date - one is no longer in biz & one had removed the service months ago. I think a lot of the problem is in some areas the demand just isn't there. Months pass before a buyer comes in to buy a pin and by then the owner/employees etc have probably forgot all about it. LibertyX shoulf have a sales rep or something along those lines visit those stores w/ no or low QPay/Pin sales and 'reintroduce' the product. I'd bet most stores have had inquiries but due to lack of knowledge the sale is lost. It would benefit both the business and Liberty to do these followup calls. No clue whats considered fair compensation to the business for a pin sale but my guess is Liberty sells them on doing a lot of them & how they can drive business in.After all their just using an existing system the retailer already has and uses - nothing to buy. And it really only takes a minutes so I can't imagine compensation being a lot.

The only libertyX-related store near me, is aware of their libertyX services, but they don't work. The pin just doesn't print
