[CommunityDiscussion] Have DNM's become mainstream..?

To be honest this question is probably irrelevant to most people, but I thought I would ask the question and find out what anyone who cares thought. Anyways my journey with the DNM's was actually pre DNM's, I had moved to a new town and had no access to what I needed at the time, I painstakingly went through pages and pages of articles on the internet to learn how I could get access to what I needed, then bammm SR came along my prayers were answered, my point is that at the time no one I knew of had a clue this existed, I felt like it I was part of some niche and I was in some way more clever as I had taken the time to learn how to access what I needed. Then today I was on public transport on way way home and I hear a conversation, that goes 'Bruv that is some proper peng bud you have', the reply 'I know mush got it of the darknet bruv'. This must have been 2 17/18 Yo chav kids, who on the face of it seem to have little brain cells between them. I was thinking What the fuck, if these kids can do it, what sort of fuckwits are doing it!! So it must be a common process now.... these people have no etiquette, we are doomed folks!

Out of all the substance-people I know (for all kinds of really), they all seem amazed or bewildered when I said I got my stuff online, and at most they know a friend who has tried it once tops. Even in 2015 when everyone has heard of Silkroad, the average buyer still isn't on a DNM.

About the fuckwits: there were prob. tons of fuckwits on Silkroad as well, and bring both good and bad with them. They might be less hush hush, but also bring the word out about the future. You can be a fuckwit and still savvy with using stuff like the internet/computer, I know some for a reference, so I doubt it's having the detrimental effect you believe it has.

I've had best vendor conversations at many a bar and club, its main stream for sure. There are certain objects that are available solely due to the existence of the dark net markets in my area. LSD (not 25i), MDMA (not methylone), wholesale xanax, etc all only exist because of DNMs in my area

I don't think it's near 'mainstream' yet, most drug buys happen the traditional way, hand to hand... however, I have overheard people bring it up in conversation a couple times, so we can assume it's not exactly the most well-kept secret.

I would say most people are aware of SR these days and by extension darknet markets. However, I do not think using them in mainstream just yet, but we are getting there. I think this recent arrest demonstrates an attempt by the feds to scare people away from darknets before they become too popular.

Of course it has, there's a sub for each market and this sub that has 54k+ subscribers and that's doesn't even count the lurkers.

Just google "where to buy drugs" and tell me it still recommends the "traditional way" lol.

Not even in my fairly progressive area. It's still a hushed topic.

I've recently been conflicted with this question too. On one hand, it's not quite mainstream enough for me to lose my hipster cred, but on the other, it's not obscure enough to be cool. Still, I guess it's still fairly ironic that the majority who learned their lessons from SR(x) flocked to the market ran by known scammers.

[0 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

BBMC began prsducing meth commercially in 2009, but began selling it on the darknet as "RedBook" on the "good" Silk Road in August 2013.

All the customers were ex-pat Thai escorts, or Chinese street dealers selling to same.

On the darknet, all my customers have been British, with a few Yanks, Aussies and Kiwis, and 99% male.

Until I get an order from a Thai woman on a DNM, it hasn't gone mainstream.

Darknet markets are tiny, and still feeling their way forward. But when Silk Road got busted, I felt the same as when Napster got shut down.

My thinking had changed forever. I've never paid for music since, and I'm never going back to selling via dealers.

You can tell the markets are in their infancy, because they are dominated by dealers rather than manufacturers of drugs. When a few more manufacturers cotton on that they can sell direct to customers without a load of middlemen, they will really take off.

Darknet markets actually spell the death of the traditional dealer. They don't add value. All they add is expense, brick dust and crushed-up aspirin.

You're not as clever or as smart as you think you are.
