Why do many of us presume LSD is tasteless?

Apparently it isn't. This is reported from Erowid:

I've eaten blotters with and without taste..even white-on-white without any ink at all on special paper. Not that crazy ass mouthnumbing or superbitter taste, but a slightly metallic and dissipating one.

LSD isn't tasteless, but most people don't put enough of it directly on their tongue to find that out.

99% of the time it has no taste. When it has a taste it should be slightly metallic.

Watercolor paper has no taste and that's what blotters should be laid on. MSDS from Sandoz says odrless and tasteless and that's where it comes from. Personally I have found LSD to have a slight metallic taste since about 10 years before everyone had an inkjet printer in their house. Remember synthesis of LSD is clandestine and the taste we get from it has something to do with that. Recently I tried ALD-52 from a superlab, no taste at all. Bay area family acid tends to have a slight metallic taste, Pinckard's was tasteless.

Dr Shulgin in his book stated acid should have aslightly bitter taste, which is the opposite of what is said on the dark net.
