Am I being unreasonable?

Forgive me if I'm being unreasonable, but this has been a bad week (unrelated reasons)

So I ordered a product last Wednesday, vendor said it shipped Friday. Contacted vendor, gave order number. Got back to me and told me it was delivered on 27th to an address in Kentucky. I don't live in Kentucky. On top of that, the vendor is now taking an "opsec" pause and won't be back till Tuesday. Even if he ships Tuesday, I won't receive it till Friday, which is a two week wait for a pack that was supposed to arrive it two days. For such a heavily respected vendor, this just seems unprofessional as hell. Am I right to be upset?

I'd be choked and rightfully so, but at the same time the vendor may have other shit at hand.

Sometimes a vendor HAS to take a break. If they are respected as you say, they will make good.

Last friday was the 26th, he says it was delivered the 27th? Thats less than a day. What was it shipped, overnight mail? Is he sure he tracked the right tracking number? Maybe he got it mixed up with another orders tracking number. Why was it supposed to arrive in two days? Thats a pretty expedited delivery promise, and would require sending Express to ensure. Priority Mail may only take 2-3 days in many cases, but is no gaurentee and can take up to 7 days. And that is after it is picked up and entered into the system. Something dropped in a blue box on Friday could end up not even picked up until Saturday or Monday depending on the pick up schedule. It then wouldnt even get entered in the system and sent on its way until that night. Many people have a unreasonable expectation on delivery times and dont realize that sometimes things happen and packages take alot longer to arrive. Thats USPS fault, not the vendor, once the vendor puts the package in the mail, its all out of his hands. He has no control over when you get your package. All he can do is get it in the mail as quickly as he can. In your case, it seems to be either your order was sent to the wrong address, or he looked up the wrong tracking number. People make mistakes. Even heavily respected vendors, and that does not make it unprofessional. Unprofessional would be if he takes forever to correct the mistake and reship. But if he resends your order (if thats necessary, and he didnt just mix up the tracking numbers) in a timely fashion, it sucks you have to wait longer, but sometimes it happens. It is a forgiveable mistake. Have you contacted the vendor and see if he could make an exception to his 'opsec pause' (whatever the fuck that is) and remail your order right away?
