Too many steps you are likely to f one of em. A better first step like getting anon btc via LBC would save u like 5 of your steps. Also, why have a vpn if u never use it. I Always Use mine w tor and I never tumble. I also only ever get anon coins. 3 wallets? For one order? Also the only clear net step I have is walking to mailbox and back to my house. Also never wait to open a pack (and get high)that landed safely for 10 mins unless u have reason at that time to be paranoid, my 2 pesos

Yes this looks about right. The mixing/tumbling is hotly debated for a personal user. I don't encourage or discourage using a tumbler as its a decision one has to make for themselves as to its necessity. But you do need to break the link b/w your coins in some fashion. I sometimes use gambling sites for this function.

Direct deals go down in different ways. Some vendors will use email, some will use Jabber. Whatever the transport medium, always take the same precautions, such as PGP'ing your address or anything sensitive/identifying. You generally get in contact with teh vendor, tell them what you'd like, and once they confirm they have the product, they will provide a BTC address. Send the coin and they'll send you the product. I don't mind direct deals, in some ways they are nice esp when the markets are volatile, but make sure you only spend what you can afford to lose and deal with great vendors who've served you well in the past.

Not sure what you mean by "wait a few days to open".
