if she's a pitbull, call her an american staffordshire terrier or just a plain old staffordshire terrier. problem solved.

we took my pit mix to a tiny non-profit spay/neuter clinic and they had no problems putting what we needed them to put for breed & weight. we submitted the paper work from them to the apartment people and never had a problem

Good luck OP. I feel your pain. Breed discrimination is bullshit.

There's no such thing as a service dog ID. All you have to do is claim the dog is a service dog and what the dog can do. It can be virtually anything. You do not have to be able to prove the dog can do it, or what your medical condition is.
Also service dogs for business full under the ADA, but for housing is under the FHA which is WAY MORE LENIENT and has much more teeth for a tenant.
basically the law is so loose that as soon as you say its a service dog, your landlord is royally screwed and can go pound sand. If they give you any shit, mail them a CMRR letter to cease and desist or you intend to sue under the ADA and FHA.

You sound like a swell neighbor.
You can get a real service dog tag on the clearnet.
