General thread on the risks of ordering drugs

So the title is pretty straight forward, but to those who don't quite know what I mean then let me explain. I've been trying to find a thread with all the information on the risks of getting caught ordering (that's the key word, ordering, not dealing) drugs from the DNMs, but there doesn't seem to be one at the moment. I don't necessarly mean the basics like using Tor, PGP, a VPN, etc. I mean discussing stuff like arrests that have occured so far from ordering drugs (not dealing them), in how much trouble can you get if your package is intercepted (considering the variables such as country, amount, age, etc.), the risks of ordering inside the country versus going through customs, and everything else you think could be relevant. Any information that could help a beginner. Anything anyone has to add is welcome, this could just be to get all the information that's out there in one place. If anyone has personal experiences they are welcome. I know the US is a little bit more extreme with this, but if, for example, someone was in the EU do the postal services scan packages (not customs, the postal service)? things like that.

search term "risk of" should pull pages of information answering your questions. your questions are asked daily. search is your friend. i tried to answer your questions below briefly. best_way_to_avoid_getting_caught might be a good start read.

stuff like arrests that have occurred so far from ordering drugs

13k narcotics package seizures with about 2k resulting in arrests, where conducted by postal inspectors in 2015

how much trouble can you get if your package is intercepted

in order to way the risks out you would need to use google and search the statues in the state you live in for the laws regarding drugs.

the risks of ordering inside the country versus going through customs

customs forfeitures is a list of all seizures customs finds. the list updated daily. you can look to see how minimal the drug seizures are compared to other things like currency etc..

do the postal services scan packages

yes every package gets scanned multiple times on its route to its destination both domestic and international. postal tracking and myusps can help you see your packages as they navigate towards their destination. have you been to a post office ? do you mean x-rayed or scanned ? every postal package gets scanned. postal inspectors can look up your delivery history

if you are a beginner go here and ask questions first
