I had the same issue after I updated to 2.10 or whatever it was, just reinstall 2.10 on your usb. If you originally installed using 2 usbs (as in you didn't install from a usb that already had tails on it) you will have to use the first tails usb (the intermediary tails). Open up tails on that usb and download a new 2.10 iso, plug in the usb that you want to upgrade to 2.10, from there you will use the "Upgrade from ISO" option in the Tails Installer (you need this option if you want to preserve your persistance), go through that process, and then you will restart on that second usb, and your keyboard and mouse should work.

Had the same problem. I booted up into troubleshooting mode and the controllers worked. From there I just closed to USB and everything was fine after that. Hope this helps.

Same problem i found that going into the boot menu then plugging the USB in fixed it. Every time I go into the boot menu with the USB already plugged into my laptop my touchpad doesn't work.
