Controlled Delivery, 256g MDMA Belgium to USA

Details are just coming out about a controlled delivery that took place last year. 256g MDMA sent from Belgium to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

I wouldn't want to be those 2 rats with the guy they setup free on bail.

A 27-year-old man is facing federal drug charges for attempting to get a drug shipment sent to an Ann Arbor apartment from Belgium, according to court records.

Kennly Weerasinghe has a preliminary examination set for Aug. 14 in the drug case, according to records.

Authorities discovered 256 grams of the drug known as MDMA or Molly at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, according to recently unsealed federal court documents.

A federal agent subsequently dressed up as a mail carrier to deliver the package to the Ann Arbor apartment it was addressed to during a bust in October 2014.

Weerasinghe was later charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver 3,4-methylendedioxy-methamphetamine, which goes by the aforementioned street names as well as Ecstasy.

Weerasinghe is a temporary employee at the University of Michigan Health System, according to Rick Fitzgerald, the school's spokesman. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from U-M in 2010.

The website for Synergistic Solutions Sri Lanka Inc., a non-profit group that helps impoverished people in Sri Lanka, lists Weerasinghe as a trustee.

According to a federal complaint filed Jan. 22, Customs and Border Protection officers assigned to the JFK Airport mail branch discovered the drugs in a parcel sent from Belgium on Oct. 14, 2014.

The package was addressed to an apartment in the 400 block of Thompson Street to a person only referred to in the complaint as "CC1."

On Oct. 22, 2014, federal authorities along with officials with the Michigan State Police and LAWNET (Livingston and Washtenaw Narcotics Enforcement Team) initiated a "controlled delivery" of the suspected drugs.

United States Postal Inspector Nicholas Olesen dressed in a letter carrier uniform attempted to deliver the package, but no one was home.

Officials attempted the same thing the next day, according to records.

"CC1" answered the door, signed for the package "while saying 'Awesome,'" the records say.

Before the person, whose gender is not identified, could shut the door, police identified themselves.

While executing a search warrant at the apartment, investigators turned up two clear zipper bags in the person's bedroom containing the same brown substance that was in the package.

The person admitted he or she knew the parcel contained "Molly," but that he or she was receiving the package under the direction of a second person, identified only as "CC2."

The person agreed to cooperate and called "CC2" and told him or her to come and get the package. Federal agents hid in the bedroom while the transaction took place, "then emerged from the bedrooms, identified themselves and approached CC2," the records say.

"CC2" told officials he or she was supposed to deliver the package to yet a third person, know only as "Cal" for which he or she would get $500, which would later be split with "CC1."

Officials set up a meeting between "CC2" and Weerasinghe at the Espresso Royale on Plymouth Road in Ann Arbor. Agents watched the brief meeting and later pulled over Weerasinghe and found the parcel in his vehicle.

He was placed under arrested and later charged in federal court.

Weerasinghe remains free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.

The only two vendors shipping quarter bricks of mdma out of belgium in october 2014 were ItalianMafiaBrussels and Checkpoint.

Neither of these vendors required signatures, clearly stated on both their profiles and in the SR2 forums.

CC1 fucked up in 3 different ways. He signed for a pack which did not require signature. He failed to keep his house 100% clean when getting a shipment. He failed to recognize that it was not his mailman trying to deliver the pack.

Had CC1 kept a clean house, recognized that it wasn't his mailman and refused the pack, then plead ignorance and ask for a lawyer...they would have nothing to charge him with.

They probably still would have searched his place and threatened him for hours, but in the end they would have to let him go with no charges if he sat there asking for a lawyer with a clean apartment.

Kennly Weerasinghe fucked up in 2 different ways. He failed to make sure CC1 was properly informed ^ before sending him a pack.

He also failed to run countersurveillance. If someone else is receiving packs for you, then your entire job for the shipments is to be running surveillance to make sure they don't get CD'd and flipped.

He could have run countersurveillance on the delivery to CC1. A bit hard to do given the 2-3 week window it could arrive in. Maybe he could have placed a webcam in CC1's apartment so he could check to make sure there was no CD before he sent someone to pick up the pack.

He also could have run countersurveillance around the area of the meeting with CC2 to make sure it wasn't a setup. Maybe it would have been better to meet in some deserted area where he could easily notice any extra cars or people in the area. He could have had CC2 meet him at a designated spot, then drive behind him and follow him for a half hour before going to a deserted area to make the exchange.

Instead of using phone calls, he could have also used some sort of encrypted app on an encrypted phone to communicate. Or could have used a burner phone with texting to communicate with CC2. Obviously don't have the burner on him (or keep the phone fully encrypted if using smartphone with app) when he goes to meet CC2 at a designated meet spot. Also when exchanging with CC2 in the deserted area, he could have immediately put the pack in a aluminum-foil-lined box in his trunk in case there was a gps tracker in it.

Wat? Only a $10k bond? That's awesome!

Validity committee, do you determine this story to be authentic?

I was really hoping that the delivery chain would keep going:

"CC97 informed us that she was picking up the package in exchange for a klondike bar from CC98"

Checkpoint. If anyone remembers Checkpoint had a very bad month in Sept of last year, tons of sezuires and more then a few CD's that are public record happened. SR2 forums it all went down in real time.

How do I know this many of you might ask? I was a very consistent bulk buyer of Checkpoint from the beginning of that year, All off site with zero Escrow. Opted out of Tracking on every package, were talking FE'n on 1 - 2KG orders / 1,2,3 Thousand pills packs, simply because it required a signature. Never had a problem, never scammed, good comms etc etc but in sept that year CP and other vendors were affected by a big sweep at NYC customs where many many MDMA,Pills ETC packages were discovered over same weekend.

Needless to say t was a fcking lotterly who got CD's and who did not. I was lucky and did not get one. 5 Packaes, all bulk and not a CD,knock n talk........nothing to this day nothing...........no letter. Tracking still say " inbound to customes" I think atleast. Average stealth, packages that all look the same, same return address all played a huge part but whatevv most people dont know what makes a package less easy to profile.

Jesus peole should just learn to say nothing and RTS the package and put back in mail box if bulk and might require a sig or not.

I cant 100% say it was CP, could have been IMB as he was the other big bulk vendor from BG and was also effected multiple times that year wth sezuires. Safty third!

Snitchy!

General rule of thumb is to never order over 100 Gs, and if you do, have it separated into multiple packs.

Anything over 100 and its worth it to get to the authorities to CD your ass. The 50g-100g category is a little hairy as well.

I always tried to stay under the 80g weight limit.

256 grams ?!! Jesus

[5 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

Imperial measures in grams annoy me.

28g, 112g, 3.5g.

Why do vendors pretend to use ounces? Every one of them has their scales set to grams.

Sell 30g, 50g, 100g instead of trying to look "old school". You're 19 years old for god's sake.

The package was addressed to an apartment in the 400 block of Thompson Street to a person only referred to in the complaint as "CC1."

So did they use a the word "CC1" as a recipient or is the court not allowing the name of said person out?

If so, I wonder how they discovered said package. It looks like it might have been caught at customs.

It also seems like the recipient was a just a front, so they could deliver it to the dealer.

I suppose the lesson to be learned is to stay domestic, even if money is to be saved.
