It's a better argument than going around telling everyone the case is a stalking horse for killing safe harbor, anyway. I'm mostly interested that the defense still doesn't know how the SR1 server was located.

[11 Points] iamjustsomejerk:

If anybody is interested in doing so, donations to the Ross Ulbricht defense fund in the form of BTC or paypal can be made at http://freeross.org/

Seeing as how he is "allegedly" ;) the father of our entire community, I think we owe it to him to help with his defense. If everybody who subscribes to this sub were to chip in a mere 0.01 BTC each, it would be enough to fill out their goal of raising $250,000.

Edit: I'm making this a post of it's own for visibility purposes.

“All of the searches and seizures are predicated upon the government’s infiltration of the alleged ‘Silk Road Servers,’” reads the memo. “However, that event – location of the Silk Road Servers – is shrouded in mystery, as the means and manner in which that discovery was accomplished has not been disclosed.”

I dont think it will ever be disclosed at least not to the general public.

Read this yesterday. Looking forward to the comments people leave.

As early as the FBI’s initial discovery of servers in Iceland hosting the site on the Tor anonymity network—

I am not the most tech. savvy person around but how does something like that happen if the network is...uh...anonymous?

No matter how illegal the process, the establishment wants him chained up as an example and he will end up so. Whether it's by simply ignoring those articles broken, by fabricating some means of circumventing it or inventing an entirely different accusation, Ross' case seems futile.

Well of course he did. They have him.
