This is how much alpha bay's owner is probably making.

I calculated all the alpha bay sales today. 5,000,000 of total sales of drugs and products listed. (round figure) Hence 5,000,000 * 0.05 = $ 250,000 Annually.

This figure might be on the lower end a little bit, cause maybe there are other revenue streams like featured listings and stuff.

[EDIT] All listings on alpha bay says the number of items sold since %date%and then ofcource the price of the listing. thats how I came up with $5,000,000 of total transactions 0.05 % alpha bays cut on each transaction.

For example http://pwoah7foa6au2pul.onion/listing.php?id=118324 this listing has sold 1822 items since Mar 15 2016, and each item costs USD 8.96 hence the vendor has made 1822 * 8.96 = USD 16325 and alpha bay has made 0.05 * 16325 = USD 816.

What are your thoughts?

since we're just pulling numbers out of thin air I'm going to estimate that they are making $500,000 annually. I don't have a formula like yourself, but I like that number and it too, is round

That seems way too low, but I'm no expert.

What is this?

[5 Points] ShangsHigh:

probably a little low, plus you gotta add the amount they steal from people

In my best Dr. Evil voice......ONE MILLION DOLLARS........Bahahahaahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[3 Points] honestlyimeanreally:

"Calculated" lol

Not everything sells, some things sell more than others...

You didn't even include vendor bonds into your calculations.

[2 Points] None:

Why is the $250K annually if you counted $5,000,000 in sales, today? Wouldn't that calculation be for profit generated per day?

[2 Points] AkabaMami:

Just $250 000 a year? They would exit scam long ago with such low earnings.

[2 Points] trickricksick:

there making 5 million a year.

[1 Points] None:

My guess is..a jump to 25,000,000 annually when they scam

[1 Points] Poopskate:

Plus vendor fees. So total vendors times 200

[1 Points] thizzle_wiggle:

There is at least one flaw in your methodology:

If the vendor offers "[Bulk]" pricing, incentivicing us to order 2 or maybe 99 as the quantity, AB still only counts that as 1 sale because it's done in 1 purchase.

[1 Points] Coward_Tiger:

That seems very low for the sentences they could face if they get caught !

What about the listings that have been deleted or are out of stock ?

[1 Points] FAT_BALD_GUY:

Haha I'm gonna go with more like 4 million annually.
