Wondering why more people aren't using i2p over tor? Isn't i2p the better option of the two?
Curious why people aren't using i2p?

Tor is more popular, so there are more Tor hidden services and more bandwidth to be used.

There's an i2p Bitcoin exchange market on i2p - exchanged.i2p - fiat support is coming next year.

i2p is still a very new network and doesn't have the funding to be reviewed for vulnerabilities nearly as thoroughly as Tor. Also, Tor being older is a great testament to how well it works - there are plenty of onions full of terrible content that stood the test of time, while the same can't be said about i2p.
Also, Java is icky and Tor isn't written in Java. That's a big part of why I don't use i2p.
Quick edit: Google "i2p vuln TAILS" for a bunch of good reasons not to use i2p

Why do average people choose Windows over Linux? They don't know Linux exists, it has a steeper learning curve, etc. It's human nature, only a veryyyyy small percent of any given population will choose the the complicated and hard to use version over the other, even if it has clear advantages.

the answer is quite simple. read the following paper and never ever use any i2p service again: http://www.irongeek.com/downloads/Identifying%20the%20true%20IP%20of%20I2P%20service%20hosts.pdf

We are human. We get very complacent with things that are easy. The same reason almost no one uses multi sig.
