Is the DNM becoming obsolete or growing?

Over the past few weeks I have noticed more and more adverts on "the list that craig built" which used to only exist on the DNM. I have been able to source most drugs, hacking services and also the promise of those "amazing paypal accounts" (the scammers)

So my question is this. Is the DNM becoming surplus to requirements because people are choosing to take the risk to sell illegal products and services to the mass market.

Definitely growing.

Drugs have always been sold on the clearnet, whilst there are people wanting to purchase illegal items the darknet will never be irrelevant, it will evolve and adapt as required

The classic model of DNMs is becoming obsolete. Solutions to problems like centralized escrow have been developed, but most people (including myself) haven't switched over. I've been doing DNMs the same way since I started, no matter how many multisig guides are published or how many exit scams occur or how much money is lost.

We've been locked in a "dark age" for quite some time now. Besides the implementation of multisig and 2FA, not much has changed (at least from the time I first heard about the markets in 2013). DNMs are growing in number, but the technology isn't advancing. Or it might just be that the technology hasn't hit the mainstream yet. Projects like OpenBazaar and DropZone sound really cool, but in the meantime, nobody's gonna stop doing what they're doing.

Growing, I started using last year and I considering prices and quality why would I ever deal with someone in person. If I get caught with drugs on my person I can't really say those aren't mine.

I think it's a lot of start up's BECAUSE of the DNM's. People getting their hands on more than they really knew what to do with.
