Transporting Unopened Packages to Music Festival...

I'm going to be hitting a few out of state festivals this summer as I'm sure many of you are as well. I had the idea of leaving my packages unopened until I arrive at the festival venue in the off chance I get pulled over. If cops can't open my mail, I should be good if my stuff is still unopened, right? Or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

Mail only has special protections while being handled by USPS. Outside of that its the same as anything else in your possession or car.

Friend tried this on the way to festie. Cops pulled us over for having long hair and tie-dye. Dogs alerted. Cops go to check the trunk and friend says "you can't open my mail." Cop rips open package and says "Oh, look at that- its already open."

If you're in the United States this is definitely wishful thinking. The police do what they want without consequence here.

Who says the cops can't open your mail after you've received it? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure if it's in your car, and they have "probable cause" to search your car, they can open it.

I think if a cop gets suspicious enough (or a dog hits on it) he might open the pack anyway. I mean you could probably get it thrown out in court but you would definitely get arrested, so I wouldn't bank on unopened mail to keep you safe.

If this was true every drug dealer in the world would put their dope inside an envelope and write some bogus addresses on it and slap on a stamp while they drove around.

Just shove that shit in your ass cheeks, you don't have to make it complicated.

Unopened packages don't really make sense. What might help is leaving product in its vacuum sealing, then hiding that within something else (a special stash spot, underwear, etc.). Of course, the downside is that you don't get a chance to reagent test your product in advance, which might matter depending on what you're getting.

You have a 98.3% chance of not getting caught using that one weird trick!

I know last year lots of people were pulled over driving over to edc from Cali. It was clear they were headed there because of either stickers they had on their cars, their clothes, group of people jammed into one car, just telling the officer straight up, etc. Officers specifically looked for those people because there was a big chance they would have drugs. Just don't "look" like you are going to a music festival is the best advice I can give if you're driving far distances with drugs.
