german mail services

An officer from the UK police visited a house in England to inform the residents that a letter addressed to them had been intercepted by the German police containing a quantity of illegal drugs. He said on this occasion they decided not to permit the order to be delivered and arrest the customer but that the address would be monitored. No mention of the origin of the package. This makes me wonder how real the future monitoring of the address would be and given the time interval between the despatch of the package and the visit was the address monitored in the interim but as there were no other packages did they perhaps decide to spread FUD?

Is this a rare event - I have read of ther interceptions and raids on DNM vendors in Germany - have there been any controlled deliveries and arrests of customers?

Afaik police in GER is not allowed to send/forward drugs via mail, cause that would be drug trafficing and drug trafficing is illegal.

Was the package sent from DE? I thought outgoing packs are not checked by that country customs, only on receiving end...

Btw, waiting for a few packs from DE too (eu to eu), one is 1month late, another 3 weeks, not sure what is happening
