[GeneralQuestions] Did any one notice these xanax busts?

Anyone else see these? The first article specifically mentions that the package was shipped from Canada and bitcoins. And the second, shows four twenty year old kids with over 1000 bars. Gwern or some other leo have some pacer info?

If we keep on seeing college kids go down Id imagine the DEA is thirsting after some Canadian blood right about now.

Tuesday, Thrall received a package of 1,000 tablets of Xanax shipped from Canada. Officers recovered the Xanax.

face charges of possession of Xanax with intent to distribute after authorities found them in possession of 1,114 dosage units of alleged Xanax.

Also, with the other big post about CDs. I want to point out that both of these busts involved month long investigations and apparently many 'buys' from these kids. So just because your package gets profiled dosn't mean they are going to kick your door in, Parallel Construction is a thing. Shieeet for all we know DEA is hooked right into the USPS system collecting OCRd 'metadata' to save your american ass from getting nbomed into the void that is, shambhala.

EDIT: I found a third, reaching another month back.. http://www.qconline.com/news/crime/man-charged-after-xanax-pills-found/article_28c01eee-fcbc-5a54-b4a1-f74fbc542cd5.html

man whose stopped vehicle was searched because of the odor of burnt cannabis will see his felony charge for alleged possession of 435 Xanax pills

Possibly a good example Parallel Construction . LE get tip from the 'mail-terror-alert' system about a suspected package. Subject is smart and uses drops and good cover techniques. So LE watches targets habits. Pulls them over for another reason. LE to Judge, "his car smelled like pot, we swear we had know idea he had all that xanax", fin.

Couple of my buddies just got raided from package they received. Funny part is the kids nickname is mailbox. But not because of this, because his last name sounds like the word mailbox.

The first one, Thrall, is already believed to be DNM-related. But the other two (Factor/Bishop/White/Yates, Edwards) don't sound DNM-related, as there's no mention of Bitcoins, the DNMs, the Internet, or getting drugs through the mail; the Edwards article says he got them from a deceased old guy.

The 3rd one is mostly likely the guy was super barred out and being an idiot by smoking weed while driving. So his car really did smell like weed and they had every right to search it. Xanax users and dealers are some of the dumbest people I know.

"Police also found $2,000 in a safe in Thrall’s room, which he admitted was earned from selling the Xanax. Munroe said Thrall was making about $3 of profit from each tablet."

Dumbfuck.... Survival of the fittest.

Ok, so from the first article, it gives you the name of the alleged DNM member, the drop address he was using and his DOC. Whats to stop anyone else from sending shit there? Anyone reading this thread could send bars to that name and addy without anyone actually wanting them. The only way they coulda convicted on this, is if someone snitched. + the fact they found product in his room.
