I have seen this mixing service mentioned numerous times so I figured it was legit. So I googled "bitcoin fog" and it came up with only 1 close result "bitcoinfog.co" (not .com). I clicked the link, and since I used tor, was presented with a recaptcha page. That, perhaps naively, made me feel the site was probably legit.
I deposited a medium amount of btc. It has been 24 hours, and nothing shows up yet.
I did some deeper searching for information about this service and found conflicting information everywhere. There was mention of a ".com" address, which doesn't exist. There were also reference to an onion address, which I did not try.
Examining the .co address, I noticed the site is not https, and so I guess that means it is plain text communication; Would this mean the tor exit node will be able to read my login credentials? If true, this fact alone would lead me to believe either this site was a scam, or was the worst design ever.
Anyone have any input? Thx.
You used Google to find an onion only service, I don't know what you expected.
Please spend a little more time on /r/darknetmarketnoobs for your own safety and well-being. Also only access darknet sites through reputable onion links, like the super list linked on our sidebar.
Hope you have better for sight next time, and don't be afraid to ask questions here or on the noobs Reddit in the future to prevent yourself from losing coin again.
