ModPost: Lets talk.

So just to forewarn everyone I'm on addy right now so I'm going to probably type way more than is necessary. I'll bold the parts that are important and I'll try to keep typos to a minimum. If there is something that you find confusing just let me know and I'll try to clarify.

So here we go:

If you've been here for a while then you know what this is, if not I'll clarify it here. Basically this is a way for the mods and the general userbase to talk and hopefully make a better subreddit. There are usually a few parts to it:

1.) What you expect from us, things you would like to see differently and your opinion of the modteam.

2.) What we expect from you. Things we want to change, things we've noticed that we liked and thing that we're upset with and want changed (thats pretty rare)

3.) Projects we've been kicking around in our head and we want to get your opinions. I personally like this one the best because it isn't just us telling you what to do, but the community (or at least those that participate) building something together that hopefully everyone will enjoy.

4.) General banter between you and us, some meta subreddit stuff, and any announcements we want to make.

Also I'm doing this a little rogue so if I make an ass of myself thats on all on me, and if there is something that I say "Yeah thats a good idea, I think we'll do that." but other mods have no idea what you're talking about don't blame them. It usually takes a little while for everyone to get on the same page.

Just wanted to add that lurkers and people "just here for the excitement" can speak up too. If you spend your time here you might as well try to make it as awesome as possible.

**Section 1.)

So what is your overall opinion of us? As people, as users, as mods? Opinions on our policies? Would you like a more hands on approach or a more laissez faire approach?

A few big issues that I know people might have opinions:

1.) The vendor blacklist. Yay or Nay? What about automod telling people about those vendors when they are mentioned? Yay or nay?

2.) SR3, SRR, SR360noscopez. Right now anything that might help those markets grow is being killed, but this is also kind of stopping people from talking about shit that has nothing to do with SR3. Thoughts?

What changes would you like to see? Any rules you want added or taken away? Anything you'd like implemented, maybe a good idea for an automod thread that would be stickied. Let us know.

Those are the two big ones, but just really anything you want to say to us should go here.

Also, I've noticed that with our growth the community has changed slightly. We're a cynical sarcastic group of assholes, but now it seems like we're a little more experienced at times, and also maybe we're a little nicer to eachother. I just wanted to say I'm happy with the general atmosphere of the subreddit Also, welcome to any new users here. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

THIS SECTION IS PRETTY MUCH STUFF YOU ALL ALREADY KNOW PLUS SOME OF MY RAMBLING Just read the rules, maybe skim through it and you're good.

2.) What we expect from you. Honestly things are pretty good, the majority of you follow the rules and don't cause any problems. There are a few that do but I think they mostly are just new and don't know the rules. The rule are on the sidebar, read them and follow them or else you might get callled a poophead. That really isn't that big of a deal for most our reals, just don't be butthurt when we removed your post. Also sometimes we'll just say "Broke rule 5# whatever, removed." we aren't intentionally trying to be dicks. We have to balance our lives and other mod duties, sometimes is just easier to quickly add that instead of waiting to write a better comment and the post stays up. Anything is better than nothing, right?

However for the bigger rules we don't fuck around. NO DIRECT DEALING, NO POSTING OR ASKING FOR CP, NO POSTING STUFF ABOUT SUICIDE OR ASKING TO KILL PEOPLE ESPECIALLY IN FIREARM THREADS. We have no room for jokes or leeway with this, the guy tha posted he was "looking for CP, opps I mean PCP guys." He was banned and reported to the admins. We're not usually that serious around here, I mean Bailey Jay our patron saint, but that shit is serious.

All of these (with the exception of asking how to kill yourself) will result in a pema ban with no warnings. Sometimes, especially with CP, you'll be reported to the admins and most likely banned from Reddit. I understand that the censoring of suicide posts is kind of a controversial issue, but its out of our hands. Admins don't want that kind of thing anywhere on Reddit. We're already really walking a thin line with the admins, we want them to be happy. We follow their rules and try to look respectable so that Anderson Cooper will never bash us and try to get an interview with him. Just know that we aren't heartlesss automod is programmed to post links to suicide prevention sites when he removes those posts and a lot of the times someone will also respond with a personalized message. We empathize with people that are suicidal, hell quite a few of our mods deal with depression and other things (I think it just comes with the territory) we know that all it takes is a nice caring comment in a time of need to sometimes pull a fellow human being back from the edge. We work with what we can.

Lobali wanted me to remind vendors and buyers that all ads and sourcing questions need to go in the advert threads that are posted on wednesday and sunday. You can wait a few days to find out "Who has the best weed?" or you could use the search bar.

Vendor, giveaways (meaning a real giveaway, not just give a small to the 54th person that buys from you) and contests can be posted outside of those threads in the main subreddit. Just message us first and get it cleared and you're good to go. If in doubt just shoot us a quick message, we don't bite. Well except when we're coming down from our DoC.**

We pretty much always have and still do reserve the right the remove comments and ban users for general cuntiness. Usually we just remove commments because we understand that people get pissed and a ban is too much, but some people are just negative assholes and we don't want them. Also, saying "But I give good info." doesn't mean shit, there are plenty of others that can do much better than you aren't assholes. Be nice to eachother guys, we're all stuck in this shit together so you might as well make some friends along the way.

Moronic Monday is NOOB thread. There are literally no dumb questions (though the irrelevant ones like "Where do babies come from?" get removed). If you don't know an answer move on, DO NOT berate users just because they've asked a question that you've seen a million times. They probably haven't. Comments berating noobs will be removed, repeat offenders will be banned. Though I've got a say I haven't seen this in a long time the last time I saw it I think the "asshole" either wasn't aware of the rules or had confused which thread he was in. Then someone came along like right after and told him off, you know who you are. Good on you man. :)

VENDORS ON THE BLACKLIST: DO NOT COME WHINING TO US THAT YOU REALLY AREN'T THAT BAD AND SHOULD BE REMOVED. You motherfuckers get to run the gauntlet that is our ,at times, ruthless community. Make a public post and convince the community that you were wrongly slandered, then we'll see about removing you. However messaging us and just saying "I'm really not a scammer, I promise. All those scam reports were written by shills"

Convince the community and you'll be good, don't and well I can't say I have much sympathy.

3.) Ideas we've been kicking around. These are mostly my ideas because I was given the go ahead to post this then all the other mods went to sleep. I'm sure they'll add their own stuff later.\

So my first idea that I would really like to get up and running is like a review of the past week or month. Once a week or once a month, or maybe some other schedule, we'll all get together and recap what happened.

You know like. "The week of December 8th. Agora went down, HoS was busted, and BV was confirmed as a scammer." (Thats all made up but if that all happens I'll punch a horse in the dick.)

Then of course everyone can discuss the happenings, but it also allows people to get up to date quickly and it lets us get a good look at the state of DNM's. "The last three weeks we had new markets." or "Shit markets are going down and no one is getting mail." It'll allow us all to keep a tab on the state of the markets. Maybe we'll even be able to predict shit storms before they happen when the data is all laid out in front of us. This is something that has to take community effort, I'm sure not all of us can be on the subreddit 24/7 so we have to work together to get a comprehensive recap. Let me know what you guys think.

The other idea I had, which is one I've had for a while, is having something like "DNM Theory" almost all of our posts are really redundant until a market goes down or someone gets sand like from the motherfucking beach. Basically what I want to do is have a thread every so often where we discuss the science behind the DNM's. The economics of the markets, where we think they'll be going, maybe we'll even find out why MXE vendors are batshit insane. In addition to DNM stuff maybe we could have some subreddit stuff, maybe we could discuss the best way to deal with waves of new users when something hits the news. Or hell maybe we'll just talk politics. Anyway, its an interesting idea I think it'll be fun and break up the monotony of it. I'm thinking it'll be kind of a free for all, if you have an interesting idea you want to share then post it and see who responds. I haven't put too much thought into this, but I know that one rule will be that civil discussion is a must.

This could kind of become whatever the community wants it to be, if you don't want to discuss something as serious as economics and would rather debate which porn star is the best (Hint: Its Bailey Jay) then you can do that. I like the idea of bring a bunch of interesting people together to discuss issues, but I'd also like to see where the community takes it when the mods back off.

I fully accept that my ideas might dumb or that no one finds them interesting. Well thats okay, what are your ideas?

4.) I can't think of many announcements right now other than we're thinking of adding a new mod. Usually we just choose someone that we think is smart and would fit well with the overall personality of the modteam. This time we're kind of reaching out. We have a few people in mind already, but nothing for certain. I know that I would very much like to have a mod that knows the legal system. We have tech people, we have drug people, we have people people, but we don't have a legal guy.

So if you're interested in this you can either comment on this thread or just message the mod team. We won't actually be making our decision and adding the new mod for a few days but I thought I'd give you all a heads up.

Lastly, not sure if you guys know about it but /r/DNMcirclejerk is a pretty fun subreddit to checkout if you're into that kind of thing.

Well after a few hours and some addy I'm finally happy with this and its done.

Now its your turn to give some feedback.

Edit: Now comes the part of the night where no body is on to talk to yet I'm still just a little stimmed up and thinking about taking some more even though that would probably be a bad idea. sigh Adderall why can't you just let me down easy?

damn you are on adderall.

[33 Points] drpnit:

I love, LOVE, the idea of a recap/"week in DNM's" thread. PLEASE. DO. THIS.

EDIT Can we please encourage people so that not EVERY review is 10/10 or 100/100? People, exercise some restraint! 100/100 should be an almost imposiible score to obtain.

Also, less HoS threads. Also, MOAR HoS THREADS!

[11 Points] Sloppy__Jalopy:

Moar traps

More Bailey Jay, less AutoModerator.

[7 Points] ownowfuck:

Things here are better than I've ever previously seen them. The bullshit has been cut down to a complete minimum in recent weeks and, minus last week's outburst, everything else seems to be chugging along normally.

I really like the vendor blacklist feature and think that should be kept. Auto-Moderator is probably preventing at least some incidences where users fail to do due diligence and research.

I'd say keep the mod team as small as possible, although I understand that not everyone is available 24/7 to babysit.

A weekly roundup thread would be good, so long as it's used like Moronic Monday. It'd be a good repository for up-to-date information.

I've been hanging in here for around 6 months with various different usernames in order to avoid doxxing and here are some of my suggestions:

Most of these are already done in hindsight however i think there's room for improvement.

On top of these, my personal opinion is to move towards a non-harm policy. Credit cards, frauds, guns etc. shouldn't be encouraged and deserve no space here. But of course this is my personal opinion.

[6 Points] ProfessorFarnsworth3:

They all sound like good ideas to keep this sub going in the right direction. Now for the important stuff, could we get a picture with Bailey Jays tits out?

[5 Points] CuntyMcGiggles:

Yeah, but does anyone know where I can find the best acid? Should I order from purefiremeds? It's okay to FE for Canadian heroin vendors, right??

I kid, I kid. Keep up the great work, mods!

[5 Points] OldSchoolMethHead:

This place is very important, it,s the front page news of the DNM,s for alot of us. (regular posters/silent lurkers/newbies)

I,d say things have been looking dame good here lately. keep up the good work guys...should be alright. expect where,s HUGS?

hey king~ if your ever in doubt, take more! always works fer me.

[3 Points] youtakesally:

I'm so into expanding vendors blacklist when some of their products are tested and they turn out to be cut.

[3 Points] select1on:

You guys already seem to be around when needed, you're all a big part of this subs culture. I probably wouldn't change how you interact as it's a good balance. I guess sometimes its hard to be a focus for information but also be impartial enough to let the community decide for example the whole agora debacle where people kept asking for warning to be pit up.. it's difficult to put up warnings because people will come to rely on you and you'd be somewhat responsible in their eyes.

I think begging threads should be discouraged, FUD threads can be fun and one was the driver to create /r/dnmcirclejerk and its a part of the community and I think everyone here can see fact from fiction.

I think overall everything is pretty much as I would want the* m, mods have different hats and all seem really cool. Most of the users are great if not sarcastic to an extreme. I think we should all help users a little more instead of pushing them to darknet noobs. I saw /r/android did a thread with basic questions and hundreds of users posted like 'how and why should I root' or 'what's the best app for X' we could do 'how can I buy bitcoins' or 'whats the best opsec?' and let all of us throw our 2 cents in compile the best comments and throw it in the wiki/sidebar

Apart from that. I can't think of anything.

[3 Points] FILES_OF_LSD:

I didn't want to make a new thread for this but....

[3 Points] Vendor_BBMC:

How about a subreddit where people can discuss the state of the postal service, how scared they are of their postman, stealth packaging, signing for tracked mail, mail drops, hand-written addresses and just...I don't know know.... go to generally obsess about envelopes?

Then they won't bore the rest of us and they can work each other up into crushing fear to their heart's content while we discuss darknet markets, vendors, services, drugs and all the things that the envelopes enshroud within their opaque paper confines.

Honestly, when we had to score off armed gangsters in darkened alleys we seemed less-scared than these paranoid TOR-browser sissies

You would think that we wouldn't hear knees knocking and teeth chattering now that the physical danger of personal contact has been completely removed from drug purchases. Things sent by post need a name and address, but it's unnheard of for an unpaid darknnet drug dealer to come round and torture anyone, so no worries, right?

Wrong!

Scaredy cats on drugs are going to obsess about whatever is left to fret about. The real reason is too much dopamine, not enough serotonin, and a general uneasy feeling that they are doing something naughty and its just their luck to get caught.

They shout down anybody who tries to think rationally and doesn't fear their postman, when what they need is contact with another person to slap them and tell them to pull themselves together.

But we can't, so a kind of mass hysteria has taken hold, especially the american "burn your house down" bitcoin-botherers on Reddit.

Don't use drugs if you are scared of EVERYONE

But if you must, take it elsewhere for god's sake.

Mod team: keep up the great job. I personally like the idea of a weekly/fortnightly thread, however, the timing will be hard to decide as some weeks nothing happens at all!

Have a good night all

I know I've seen the messages when automod picks up mention of a questionable vendor in a thread but I'm not sure what happens when it sees the vendor mentioned in a title. Does the thread get hidden or does automod post inside it? I'd kind of been away from the sub for a while or at least not reading very many threads so honestly I've only become familiar with those sort of automod comments in the last few weeks. For that reason I'm going to say purefiremeds and refresh my memory of what the response is. I'm going to stare through a window at my mailbox for the next hour and I'll check back :)

[2 Points] durgsrbad:

Vendors - vendors errywhere.

Containing the basic 'For Sale' shit to stickies twice a week is solid enough, but it would be nice if there were a way to keep track of vendors - specifically, their calibre.

For starters, I think it would be a fine thing for a vendor to be able to apply for a tag/flair/sig/teddy attached to their name. With that, we have a 'directory' of sorts in the sidebar. Does it get fleshed out to include market links/products or whatnot? No idea. Possibly to their posts too?

Here's the kicker. The directory can be alphabetical, or by rating - they get a plus/minus routine from their upvoted comments, double points for reviews.

No idea on the tech side of things - my internal process says something like 'just get Astrid to bang up a script', whilst the reality is I have no idea if that's a lunchtime project or a month's work. It's a system that has its flaws too, but gut tells me it will settle after a month or two, and attempts to skew the system will largely be knocked flat with time.

Anyway, just random thoughts, and may help alleviate some of the more banal threads around here, plus you'd find it easier to source a quality amphetamine dealer rather than fucking about with that overpriced Adderall shit.

[2 Points] LaidBackStoner:

I learned something after reading this. It almost felt like I was you typing as I was reading this post.

Edit: I'm flying high with Mary!

[2 Points] merlmabase:

As a longtime lurker who would like to start contributing, there's one thing I would find really useful: some kind of glossary wiki for DNM-specific terms, especially the shorthand that gets used in this subreddit.

Case in point: I have no idea what CP means. It's kinda funny that a rule that is clearly important and strictly enforced can't be understood by a noob like me. Obviously, the more time I spend here, the more I understand from context, from other people asking noob questions for me, and a mix of search/urban dictionary/deepdotweb's definitions article.

But it can be hard to look up meanings for common acronyms, and so many get used for vendors and DNM concepts that it can be a real barrier to communication, even for somebody who's been poking around for a couple of months.

It's a project that I'd be happy to contribute to, and would probably help reduce a lot of redundant comments/questions.

[1 Points] None:

I would like reviews to follow the format or be removed. All FUD be removed unless proof is provided.

[1 Points] ciphersexual:

Thanks Infinite. Can you clarify what qualifies as a "sourcing question," which Lobali reminds us should go in the Sun/Wed stickied threads?

"Anyone know anything about vendor X?" -- is that a sourcing question?

"Who has the best Heroin on BlackBank right now?" -- is that?

[1 Points] badassmthrfkr:

+1 for weekly updates. Whenever something happens, we get flooded by similar posts and pure speculations. I usually skip through them and wait until things calm down, so just reading a summary of it would be a lot more helpful rather than going through dozens of useless posts. For example, I still donno if Agora is fixed so when it's time for me to shop, I'll have to go through a lot of junk to assess where it's at. If there was a weekly update, it would be very useful in such situations.

I'd like the review template to be taken down, because I don't think making it easier to do reviews is necessarily a good thing. Aside from them being nearly useless, I'd rather get reviews from more experienced people who read enough reviews to know how to write good ones, and not the ones from people needing to be babied with a template. At the very least, make it clear that the average is 5 (or 7 if you want) because people seem to think 10 is the average. All those 10/10s are bad enough, but I just wanna slap somebody whenever I see a 12/10.

Mods here are all chill, though I heard they have a back channel communication going and shit and they're secretly Illuminati or New World Order plotting world domination. But that's what I heard and I don't wanna start any speculation or anything. I have special istings on Evo and Agora for my tin foil hats! FE only!

[1 Points] None:

Can you guys put a poll maybe every month/week about the best vendor for different types of drugs and then sidebar the top vendors in a list in the sidebar, I think this is a great idea.

[1 Points] gerundive:

| We're a cynical sarcastic group of assholes...

Hows about we get rid of the "Downvote for Truth" trophy? Whadyamean, there isn't one? You seriously saying people do it just for the hell of it?

[0 Points] None:

You know like. "The week of December 8th. Agora went down, HoS was busted, and BV was confirmed as a scammer." (Thats all made up but if that all happens I'll punch a horse in the dick.)

This made me geek the F out! Good idea for the recap thread though. Can we maybe have a sticky once or twice a week of order issues? There are so many people that post menial issues about shipping times and whatnot that better posts get shoved way down pretty fast sometimes.
