Starting to get deeper into using tor and getting more serious. Also, is it safe to whitelist reddit? Is there a setting somewhere in reddit to enable sitewide encryption? Any other tips or things I should know before getting any deeper? I already know about vpn's, tails, and other very basic OPSEC but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks! :)
reddit is safe to whitelist, in fact most sites would be safe to whitelist.
The reason for noscript is to prevent situations where LE get ahold of the site and implant some code that "calls home" - even enabling scripting on a market is mostly a benign act, assuming the market isn't exploiting JS and stuff like they did on those kiddie porn sites and shit.
There is so much FUD around enabling scripting in TBB - its almost unreal.
Just because you enable scripting or a site uses JS doesn't automatically mean your IP is broadcast to the respective LE agency in your country.
