If the cops are going to arrest you wouldnt they arrest you at the post office just as they would at your home? Is it that you have more plausible deniability with a PO box?
Does having a PO box really make a difference?

PO boxes are somewhat disposable compared to home address. You can get multiple boxes under different names/businesses. Different boxes in different towns if you want. Package is gauranteed to be safe/not be stolen in box. A postal worker could steal it but thats unlikely. Buying for personal use? Then probably dont have to worry about this as much.

Yeah it really isn't necessary unless you need to keep snoopy family members out of your mail. Otherwise it just adds to problems in terms of the mailbox place workers not putting your package in the box right when it comes, forgetting to leave a slip, not notifying you when you have a package, etc etc. They're pretty disorganized generally.

I personally like the degree of separation it offers from my house

Same really but chances of them staking out a PO every day for a week or so is not so much. Ive heard if they ever make you sign for shit or come to the counter and get it, the packaging looks odd or repackaged then reject the package and say you dont know wtf about it. Youd probably still get raided but at least you wouldnt catch the charges on the pack.
I just made a rant about that shit. Im sick of vendors who dont ship when they say they are going to or wont give you a tracking number because past 3 days for me I get paranoid as shit. Has nothing to do with jonesing or withdrawls . Im paranoid cause Im in a small town and I know it would take them a few days to bring in postal inspector and feds.
Ive been reading up on this shit lately too. Im about done with it and my dumb ass for the first time, ordered fucking POT lately. Im probably hit bigger than dogshit.

just a little tippypoo for those for you tip craving tipsters :) you know you can also get a personal mail box at ups store, mail boxes etc, i dunno all the names cross country, but at those boxes you can receive USPS, ups, fedex, everything :) and they are about the same price, most provide 24hr service that i know of meaning the mailboxes are accessible 24hrs per day but the rest of the store is not. (alot of the stores if have been in have 1 camera, or no cameras, it doesn't even look like the 1 camera worked in the one store, i ask to use the bathroom in the back for employees and i didn't see any kinda monitoring system or box that looked to record stuff from a camera i think it was a fake camera either way it wasn't even covering the mail boxes.
Also i didn't read the contract i imagine the store protects themselves somehow but for example the ups store i work with will sign for all your packages and as long as they fit in the box then no signature or nothing (obviously the point is to avoid signatures in this game but i have ordered express USPS where it said no sig required on the package and the postal workers at usps are too dumb to realize, so that mistake is avoided here with express orders because the employee just signs for it and drops it in the box.
Couple other notes 1. had a buddy open a mailbox up at one of them and he got a little thing in his box is said signature required (it was a standard size usps flat rate envelope he was recieving) but it was a little thick, but it should have fit in the box but they decided not to put it in because they were scared the box would over flow with mail, one conversation later with the people who work at store saying how its important that he don't have to sign for any thing, he made up some crap about how it was a box for a business etc. and they put a note in the system and all packages just get placed in the box now no issues or bullshit as long as they are not objects larger then the box its self, it was an easy fix just something to look out for.
also another story i know another guy who opened a box at a ups store, he had gone in the day before asking questions, then returned a few days later, to open up the box, the guy remembered him but when he set up the box.... he didn't even ask for 2 forms of id(usually required to open a box, he didn't even ask for 1 form of id lol and this was the owner of 2 stores) lol they're really lax at these places(this guy was the owner of 2 stores and let my friend open a box with no fucking id at all) and i would suggest they are a great resource much better then PO BOXES because i have been down the po box route. (they work too but i prefer these)
plus when you get a po box address, if the vendor doesn't accept po boxes for some dumb reason(don't get me started on that stupid rule) then your address will look like an apartment address he or she will not even know example address 123 dumb fuck ln #123 buffalo, ny 11111 ( i don't live in new york) dunno the zip but just trying to pass on this wonderful discovery :) good luck! I love the things and had used po boxes for a while but these are way better so far, i prefer them over po boxes.
not really, no. The only good reason to get a PO box is to keep someone away from your shit, be it a girlfriend, your parents, an university, etc.
