Last month I made a few orders, one of which never showed up. The weird thing about this was on the same day, one of my legit packages also went missing and just dropped off USPS tracking. I was very sketched out by this and have been laying low ever since. I had finalized the order and the vendor (who was supposedly reputable) stopped responding to my messages.
I complained to the post office about my missing legit package, hoping that I could atleast feel out the people at the post office and see if they were acting weird and planning something against me but nothing really seemed off and within a week they found my missing (legit) package which they claimed was shipped to the incorrect address and returned.
So a month has gone by, my door has not been kicked in, and I've been getting all my mail (around 10 legitimate packages per week) with no issues whatsoever. None of my packages have been delayed and none of my mail has been tampered with.
It should also be noted that I recently got a new mail man who is very young and looks kind of sketchy. Based off his appearance and affiliation with the USPS, I would say there's a good chance he knows about the markets and those stamped priority envelopes are pretty damn easy to profile.
One last piece of information is that this was for a small (personal) amount of a "very bad" drug (in the eyes of the law) that is a known problem where I live.
Based off this, is it safe to assume that I was scammed or robbed by my mailman and my package was not intercepted as I had originally assumed? I want to go get a PO box so I can get back to this, but I'm still a tiny bit worried that my name might be flagged or something.
Any help or information is greatly appreciated.
I'd say there's equal chances that you got ripped off (USPS has stolen from me before in certain areas) or that USPS has confiscated the package.
Really no way to know...talk to the vendors, correlate on tracking (was it finalized earlier than normal? is he having other complaints?) and try to narrow down the possibilities.
