Coinbase?

Anyone still use it? Without too much of an opsec fail lbc and circle are not really options for my friend here, and the only atm is a bit too far for his bum ass to get to not to mention the fee.

I'm sure quite a few people use it, but a lot of recent regulations made it so the IRS and other 3 letter agencies with the info/transaction of every user.

I just checked the nearest bitcoin ATM and it charges 7% on bitcoinaverages price, so you don't get screwed on the exchange rate, that seems pretty fair to me. If you do any kind of cash deal on Localbitcoins it always ends up costing that much unless it's an in person deal.

Sure, circle and coinbase are cheaper, but they do charge fees and the coinbase price is usually a little higher than bitcoinaverage. What I don't understand about these atms is how they are AML compliant. I read the manual for the one near me and it said they can do most of the required checks via a phone number, and that the operator can decide how else to implement AML, like requiring selfies with ID and other verifications like credit checks to get higher limits. I'm going to go check it out today.
