Random ass LSD question

I have recently taken great interest in lsd history/production/distribution

If anyone knows of anything good to read please let me know!

Anyway, here is my question... From what I understand very little crystal goes a VERY long way..

Is it possible that a lot of the lsd we are buying now was made decades ago? I understand that under the correct conditions crystal will last forever.

I have only tripped off of HOS tabs.. I don't know what other acid is like, (except I will be tripping off perception acid tomorrow)

I understand that the feeling I am about to describe can come from my own thoughts after reading everything I could about HOS and having all of her magical/mysterious hippy persona in the back of my mind and it comes out after dropping. (So in no way am I saying hers is in fact somehow magical)

I get this strong feeling that the crystal was created in the ken Casey days and the crystal was giving to this teenaged girl in the 60s (HOS) this teenaged girl protected and cared for this crystal throughout her life knowing that what she held was an important key to carrying on the truth and importance that lsd can posses and when she felt it was right for humanity to once again be introduced to this realm she put it out to the world (recently).

It is very hard to explain the sensation I just described but I felt like I was there thorough out it all in very great detail that I can't begin to describe.

Let me also say that I am not saying it is magical! I'm taking a chemical scientific psychological approach.

I know that chances are HOS is a 40 year old Mexican Dude that bought some European acid and making bank off it.

But after dosing on her tabs I can't shake this thought..

I can completely relate to your love/infatuation with everything about LSD. However, that story you just spun is nothing but a fairy tale my friend. LSD is still being pumped out in large batches but the community/circles it is within are for obvious reason much more secretive than they use to be. You could shake hands with one of the largest lsd/mdma chemist alive and never know it. As for a good read I would suggest Doors of Perception and Acid Dreams. Two of my favorite psychedelic books.

I think you need to lay off the cid bud... There are plenty of clandestine chemists that are easily manufacturing LSD and who have been for years. It would be ridiculous to hold onto a quantity of acid like that for 50 years just to end up selling it anyway when they felt it was the right time for humanity...

She's simply a drug dealer. Idk if she makes it herself or sources it but she is in it for the money like any other business.. LSD is not a "truth" or has no "importance." It is a chemical that people like to get fucked up on and there is a lot of money to be made there.

LSD or meth?

Here is a really great article on this nigga Owsley that "perfected" the acid "recipe" if you will. It's also worth noting he was completely self-taught without the use of the Internet. He fucked with all the major artists like The Grateful Dead, Hendrix, The Beatles, and some more. He also supplied all of the festivals with innumerable amounts of free drugs. His purple tabs at the Monterrey Pop festival actually inspired Jimi to write Purple Haze. Another cool dude to look into is William Leonard Pickard. He supplied well over 90% of the world's acid at one point, and was selling those bitches in bulk at like 30 cents a hit. YouTube has some great documentaries on The Summer of Love as well. I find that point in history to be very intriguing.

As far as the other shit goes, LSD is incredibly fragile and degrades when exposed to air, light, or heat. All of the acid nowadays is relatively fresh, because of how delicate of a substance it is. You can think of it kind of like weed. Even if it's properly stored in a cool, dark, and dry environment it's just probably not going to be worth smoking after a year.

Q: What do deadheads say when they run out of LSD?

A: "What is this awful music?"

Har har har. I fucking love the dead.

For Albert Hoffman's 100th birthday, someone provided a vial of original Sandoz LSD (Delysid) produced in 1951. After being stored casually, no noticeable loss in potency was reported.

"The vial had been in the possession of a single person for the last 30+ years, stored casually, mostly in darkness. When opened, the powder was a very light brown-sugar to salmon color. One chemist described the fluffy, clumpy, sparkly crystalline powder as looking like "crushed needles". It was weighed and dissolved into four-ounce liquid doses containing between 100 and 110 micrograms each"

"Although the vial was completely sealed, without cracks, one of the major questions was whether there would be significant loss of potency by degradation as a result of the 55 years that had passed since it was manufactured. After trying it, the predominant opinion among the more than 70 participants and observers was that there was no detectable loss in potency. This was the clearest result from the reported experiment: air-tight brown glass appears to be a very effective long-term storage method for LSD. After 55 years, stored at varying room temperatures, the LSD seemed to be fully potent."

"The electric kool-aid acid test" is a great read about ken Kesey and the merry pranksters and acid and SF the dead and the 60s and the wonderment of feeling like your eyes had been opened for the first time.

Dude, my first HoS tabs made me feel like I was in the 60's and for a few hours, I think I truly believed it was the 1960's.

Abouut 2006-2007 I was able to score bottles of liquid LSD, some fucked up and very messy summers. But we noticed the acid denatured very quickly, even keeping it in the fridge, it was noticeably weaker after just a couple of weeks.

You. You win me on. And you lost it all. Why did you go there? From beyond. We saw it all. Why did you go there?

Check out this documentary if you're that interested in the history of LSD OP. It's 5 hours long but worth the watch. Disregard the Astrology stuff 15 minutes in. No Idea why they included that. Everything else presented is scientific and factual.

I'm glad LSD is not common among people because honestly people who are so deep in the fantasy land gives it a bad name. As for you, it's time to put down the drug.

I don't... I don't know what you're trying to say. I'm sorry.

Transcripts from the trial is a good read. Fucking snitches.

This is a video, but a good watch. It's about Dock Ellis pitching a no-hitter (one of only a handful of people to ever do this), while tripping on LSD.

Literally nothing lasts forever. And anything that you can come up with that possibly lasts forever can't be proven to last forever.

If you haven't watched this then check out this video Underground LSD Palace its a good watch. I've heard of barrels of LSD floating around in the USA. The army had a bunch of it trying to make a truth drug or something.

I'm no expert, and the last time I really studied LSD was about 20 years ago, so given all that, this is more or less a moderately informed opinion. Point is, take it with a grain of salt.....

Anything that would be considered "decades old" would, 9.9 times out of 10, be blotter acid. And in all likelihood it went bad long long ago - sometime around when Welcome Back Kotter hit the airwaves. Unless it was extremely well preserved ("extremely" being the key word), it's long gone. If you're talking about LSD before it made its way to the blotter, still - it'd have to be extremely well preserved.

Just my 2 cents.
