LE and vendor takeovers

When LE busts a vendor, why don't they assume control of the vendors account for a few months. Collect loads of addresses and then scam / go bust those people.

While most of the time you have the "can't prove you ordered it' argument. Since most of the people being scammed will message the vendor 'where the fuck is my product' kinda proves they ordered it.

In the hansa takeover a bunch of vendor accounts got compromised but they changed the PGP keys? Why on earth would you do that and not use the old ones, surely you could coerce the vendor into unlocking it in exchange for a deal.

Or are they really not looking for buyers this much?

They do. And why are you siding with the enemies ?

You must be new to this dark net or something. I been using it for more than a year and the first thing i was told to watch for was LE posing as vendors.

LE didn't apprehend the vendors. Those compromised vendors were compromised because they were re-using passwords across markets and didn't have 2FA enabled. LE merely used the vendors' passwords from one market on others and then permanently locked those vendors out by substituting keys and enabling 2FA.

Nope. The resources and manpower required to go after individual buyers would be staggering. The only exception that might make this 'worthwhile' would be resellers who are making frequent, large purchases.

They do. And LEO will also send you your product to make eveything seem legit.
