Traderoute is gone. If you have been here more than year or two you know the drill.

TradeRoute is gone. As someone who has been on the markets for 6+ years now, they exit scammed and are in Belize already. Anyone smart that has any knowledge of the markets at this point has moved to direct deals without any market interaction. Markets are inherently unsafe, it is no longer 2011.

There are far too many coincidences. Too many of you noobs just got here, we have seen this exact same process play out again and again. The message from the moderator promising its return was simply to disillusion you.

The ONLY I repeat ONLY two markets to properly return after downtime like this are Silkroad and Agora. Silkroad was run for ideological reasons and the operators of Agora were basically saints (it ran as fast as fucking Google), and they left peacefully after telling everyone to withdrawal.

Why in the hell wouldn't TR admins notify users/vendors that they were going to do maintenance so users could withdraw their coin? Plus BTC price is skyrocketing up, plus dream was down causing influx of bitcoin into their site.

This is why I don't trust all these random markets that happened to pop up, probably made by some Ukranian carders.

As the prophecy goes. A new market will arise from the ashes one day and they will never steal again and handle disputes correctly.

You must have never used Agora then dude. Or you're romanticizing the past.

They weren't as fast as fucking Google and had literally the lowest uptime of any major market before or since.

Also, AG and SR1 were not the only markets to shut down with their criminal integrity in-tact;

Backopy (BMR) dipped-out gracefully during what was a very tumultuous time period; and if I remember correctly, Acropolis Market also had an orderly shutdown i.e. with an announcement, user/vendor withdrawals, etc.

Everyone is assuming that all of us are on darknet markets for drugs. Hell no, many of us are for other reasons.

Two big areas apart from drugs are "travel documents" and "financials". How are noobs supposed to find new vendors in these areas without a market? Beg around and hope not to get scammed? You guys should spare some thought for us too.

Personally speaking, am a syrian christian looking for a "travel document". Hope you understand. Favorited a couple of vendors on TR and poof, the market was gone within 24 hrs. What a timing!!!

One funny thing - you guys are looking for drugs and own legit, great passports. The place where I now live (Damascus) is now flooded with drugs, sold openly on street without any police harassment, but nobody has a usable passport. Damn, if only we could trade. :p

Jesus they are letting Ross Ulbrich go on the internet in jail, I'm shocked

[22 Points] JburnaDNM:

Agreed it’s gone. I don’t wish ill on anyone but the ones who exit scam I hope they get caught.

I would like a list of vendor contact (something like protonmail/pgp) and direct shops.

At this point it would be pretty useful lmao.

Ill just gladly make a list and start doing it that way.

[9 Points] basjin:

agora was far away from running like google, it had several downtimes, sometimes even for days without any message coming from 'admin'.

why do people fail to remember properly?

i dont mean to discredit agoras behavior in terms of shutting down, letting anyone get his coins. but i would like to read the truth instead of fake things.

[9 Points] itzyaboiskinnypeniz:

Is silk road still up?

[7 Points] HardC0r3:

Still could come back

[7 Points] happy-when-it-rains:

Funny, when I was using TradeRoute earlier this week for the first time I was thinking, having to deposit my bitcoins to an on-site wallet? That looks fishy, like it'd be perfect to exit scam. And there we go. At least I only had a few dollars worth of bitcoins in it after my first order, which also arrived today just fine. I miss Hansa.

[7 Points] theRCking:

TR is gone. they keep promising to return and each day fail to make good on their word. even traderoutemoderator is bullshitting less. He's just delaying everyone from freaking out while they slowly withdraw from the scene. I'm done with 99% of all markets honestly. I'll have my store ready privately, losing extreme amounts of profit tied up in escrow is a joke. The last 3 or so major markets have all pulled some bullshit like this and it's just getting worse every time.

[5 Points] SHeMademeSQuiRT:

John Mcaffe screwed us all on Belize. Get your facts straight. Look up the wiki for better countries to reside we can find them AS A TEAM.

[5 Points] FHlogin:

What are some good other markets then? since all the top ones seem to be down.

If link goes down let me know i saved the image. Also saved an entire post that was deleted as well as an onion link to some leaked source apparently. Can upload if requested

[5 Points] FeenixArisen:

There is weird stuff going on with all the markets. The real question is, if TR comes back... Do we trust it? If Feds nail admins, they will squeeze their PGP password out of them with a plea deal in minutes. Even signed reassurances mean nothing.

The bigger worry is if there is a TOR exploit that allows the Feds to possibly ferret out a server IP by hammering the site. Who else would be behind a co-ordinated assault like we are seeing?

The TR admins would had three times the escrow to scam if they had just waited six weeks. The only thing that would trigger an exit scam now would be insider knowledge of a TOR exploit/attack by Feds.

The other thing that doesn't make sense is the Bitcoin transfer. Is that how you make your first move of an exit scam? There was no need to do anything, they control everything and it would be easier to siphon funds into the real world from the existing mess of wallets.

I just wanna buy my drugs, sheesh.

[4 Points] Merlin_Sourcery:

This is why you actually have to do research on a market before jumping on and throwing money at it.

If you were buying drugs on the street and the dealer tried to walk away with your money you'd be furious! But you all let TR do it day after day by using their false multi-sig. On TR you deposited to a market controlled middleman wallet before the coin was then supposed to be sent on to the multi-sig. The problem with this system is, the market can divert the funds at any time and you wouldnt know until the vendor tried to withdraw. TR simply waited until those middle man wallets had 10 million in them and diverted the coin into wallets controlled by them.

If you plan on using markets like Sourcery you need to take the time to read up on the process. With a little reading you can determine if your coin is safe or if it is exposed to theft. TR was another Hansa waiting to happen, had the police gained control they could have easily diverted the coin and gathered the same info they got from Hansa.

[3 Points] Foolish_ness:

Is there a superlist of vendors direct sites/contact details?

[2 Points] treedoor1:

Agora was the best - When they shut up shop, they did it with style and let everyone remove their coins. Fair game.

[2 Points] hisforheroin:

Which markets are people using now?

[1 Points] BiasGoldfish:

What about every other major one going down? Coincidence?

[1 Points] Twaxd:

Solid vendors open their own onions

[1 Points] GeneralStarkk:

Why would they just dip? TR was way to big to make a foolish decision like that. If this was really a real life exit scam they would have stopped all funds from moving for a day or two.

[1 Points] Red-witt:

I figured they scammed within the first day they were down. There was some people who were still praying like like 3 days in, haha. At that point there's no hope, you got scammed, accept it.

[1 Points] 3pcup:

/u/traderoutemoderator

[1 Points] Boosiebaddazz:

To be honest the best operate is once two vendors of your drugs of choice get their off market contacts that way once a market goes down you have contact info to keep in touch with them trust and believe good name Goes a long way no vendor will want to fuck up thier good rep to scam you not longstanding vendor to deal with at least

Bruh traderoute sucked was only here for a couple months lmao

[1 Points] DopeBoyDick:

Agora was literally down for hours at a time on an almost daily basis. I remember always having to check dnstats just to see if they were up or down....sorta frustrating but other than that they were a DAMN GOOD market. Fuck I miss those days. Now Evo ran like Google but fuck their exit scam

[1 Points] TheLastCig:

Hey there's always Aero, just peep my POST (not comment) history.

[1 Points] 2happytimes2:

This sucks so bad. After hansa I had a bad taste in my mouth now getting burned again on TR just really sucks. Hate seeing the shape of the DNM's currently, with most online.

[1 Points] bigd456:

I used to only do DDs then I tried the markers for the first time a few weeks ago and got scammed

[1 Points] tha_real_rocknrolla:

I know he wasn't a market. But, tony76. what a schemster with class

[0 Points] holographictomato:

Oh cool, more useless posts with no proof.

I'm not saying they haven't exit scammed but you have no proof so your post is as irrelevant as the 1000 other ones.

Also doesn't explain why every site is down

[-1 Points] undercover_anarchist:

what is interesting about TRs exit scam is that it happened so soon. I mean TR wasnt even around for a year. Kind of sucks aswell because they were the only reasonable contender to dream market.

[-1 Points] FreshestNuts:

I wouldn't call it an exit scam until the middle of next week. If they don't come on reddit and post any signed PGP message from the admins giving a time-table, than I would assume they exit scammed or were arrested.

[-2 Points] BruceJender143:

AS IVE BEEN SAYING, MARKETS ARE A THING OF THE PAST.. DDS ONLY NOW. HAPPY SHOPPING
