OPSEC questions with internetconnection, TAILS, passwords etc

hi! I have some questions about OPSEC and hope you guys can help me. Is it dangerous to surf/order at DNMs when connected to homeinternet via a 2nd hand throwaway notebook with latest TAILS installed on a USB stick? What if another normal computer is surfing on the internet within the same network/router? ...and what about storing passwords? Is it dangerous to make a txt file on the persistent storage of tails? ...the persistent storage is secured with a password only saved in my head so it should be save enough!? Is XMPP with OTR activated secure? and is jabber.hot-chilli.eu a good server? ...thanks, MIA!

Use Tor bridges for your connection.

Use KeePassX within Tails to generate and store your passwords. Use a keyfile and set password a phrase from your favorite book, a song lyric, whatever.

The OTR plugin is secure for chat/xmpp.

Make REGULAR backups of your usb stick/persistent volume and keep it offsite.

Persistent storage in tails is VERY safe. Well... as safe as your password is secure. I trust it with my freedom. It is not dangerous to order DNM on your home internet, even if you are on the network with another computer. It is not dangerous to store passwords as a text file in persistent volume. I don't have any of my passwords memorized EXCEPT my longasfuck password for my persistent volume. I don't even have all of my usernames memorized. There is a special program for passwords in TAILS, and I don't know shit about xmpp . Think that covers everything. Just don't leave your computer logged in when you get up to shit/answer the door etc and you will be alright. ALWAYS shut it off every time you stand up. annoying, but it could save you
