Is it true that after completing a transaction on C9 there was an option to leave a reddit review for your vendor? If so, how exactly did this work? Was the review generator template all set up already while still on C9 or was there just a link to this subreddit after you signed out of C9?
Also, was C9 the market that supposedly would encrypt your address for you if you didn't know how to use PGP? I remember being sketched out when I saw a link to iGolder's encryption tool on the C9 homepage, so I never did use Cloud9.
Anyway, sorry for all the questions, but I'm trying to piece some things together here. Thanks in advance to who choose to reply - it is much appreciated.
C9 did have an encrypt address function but what's to stop them from viewing and copying the message before sending it or not encrypting it at all. I do not remember a r reddit review thing. Cloud 9 looked secure but I always found it some what sketchy because we knew nothing about the founder. And at least with defcon it was rumored that he was a security freak. To some degree he was, the current evidence indicates that sr2 was never hacked. So to run a deep web site with millions of bitcoins and not get hacked he was pretty Damn good.He however was not an expert in OPSEC and that is critical in the operation of underground markets.
