Sent vendor wrong +4, should I hari kari or breathe

Checked +4 on usps website and sent the result to vendor. buttt the outside of the actual PO with my box has a different +4 on their building... First order feel like I am going to puke. Anyone have any experience with this?

+4 on the post office can be different than the +4 on a po box. Like your box number is 112 chances are your +4 is 0112 Even if the post office +4 is 9998 or some shit.

i always use something like say...

12345-1234

and always have gotten my packages...on one of my purchases vendor told me that the +4 came up differently on the usps site and that he used that instead, package arrived without issues.

Thanks for sparing my life guys

the four digits extra on a zip code? that's a sorting number each individual post office uses to get mail to the carriers bag faster. it will never end up in the wrong office but may take an extra day or two to arrive. that's all.

This would be a perfect question for u/forwhombagels (aka U/FriendlyDarknetUSPSGuy) to give an in-depth response to if he happens to be floating around somewhere. It comes up here from time to time and it would be nice to have a real inside answer to be able to refer people to.
