Question to all Vendors?

I am assuming the answer is yes. Do you do research on your buyers that places orders with you?

Why would you assume the answer is yes? What kind of research could they possibly do? Why the hell would I want a vendor to know anything about me beyond the absolute minimum - a shipping address.

Are you assuming vendors are google mapping that shit and finding out everything they can? I don't even.

A possible Google might happen to find a 9 digit zip but other then that I don't think they are trying to figure out that your touch yourself at night.

Some do. One guy was acting strange so I did research and turns out he was a cop. I refused to do business with him out safety and personal reasons. I'd rather not have cops know my shipping methods and stealth if I can avoid it.

If they have a really weird name sometimes I'll look them up on facebook.

Theres a few people who I accidentally figured out what there reddit usernames are. Cough cough.

But no, generally i dont fucking have time to do any shit like that..

Also, a lot of people use obviously fake names to order from me.. I'm going to give them hell if they have a pack not show.

The more common thing for me is googling their address on google maps, when the USPS system says their address is invalid, to try to figure out how to fix it (and then confirming it with them before i ship anything). And then laughing when they live in some mcmansion neighborhood that looks like one of those places where HOA will fine you for opening the hood of your car.

Why are you assuming the answer is yes? I highly doubt that is normal business practice. Im not naive though I know there are some who do this. But really I think the majority want their coin and their positive feedback and thats that.

Only if they act like a vendor trying to act like a customer.

Sometimes you have to google a customer's street to get the correct spelling or post code. I'm a mail order business. Just because somebody orders something from me, it doesn't make them interesting.

I haven't taken an order from a new customer for a year, so I'm having to think back. All my customers are returning ones Ive spoken to loads of times (in writing).

Paranoid young drug users always think they're special. They think the entire postal system has an opinion on whether they are getting "too many" packages, and that LE are out to ruin their life in particular, because it would be just their luck.

A vendor will only look at your facebook if you're female, to see if you're sexy. You think both TOO MUCH, and also NOT ENOUGH, original poster. That's a recipe for a bad customer who's about to fuck up somehow. Always do what a vendor tells you, never the exact opposite, and you'll be OK.

Get a grip. Don't lose touch with reality. My vendor senses tell me you're about to do something stupid.
