Can anyone recommend a USB wifi dongle that works with tails?

I'm forced to use an old hp laptop to access tails since my macbook doesn't have compatible wifi drivers to connect to the Internet on tails. Can someone give me some wifi adapters that I can just plug into my macbook to get the wifi working when I boot tails from it?

I ran into the same issue and was never able to find a driver for my MacBook. The only workaround I know of is to use a USB wifi adapter and use that.

Get one with an Atheros chipset, which is the most open-source-friendly option. Alfa makes really good, high-powered USB WiFi adaptors with Atheros chips (they may have some with other chips, though, so make sure) that aren't too expensive. They even have a 2000mW one and you can hook up a big antenna or two and grab signal from pretty far away.

I have successfully used the ALFA-AWUS036NHA USB WiFi dongle on Tails with my 2011 and a 2014 Macbook Pros with no configuration or device driver downloads needed besides just plugging it in: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ALFA-AWUS036NHA-802-11n-Wireless-N-Wi-Fi-USB-Adapter-High-Speed-Atheros-AR9271-/380458349886?hash=item589515b53e

The 5dBi antennae included gives it a much longer range than the Broadcom Airport WiFi Card (included in every Macbook). As an added and unrelated bonus, it also supports both monitor mode and packet injection and works out of the box with WiFite, Aircrack, and Reaver on Kali Linux. Hence, you can optionally hack a nearby WiFi password with it or simply test the security of your own router.

Might as well get a good one for signal quality, I like the Asus USB-AC56

Get a cheap one off of amazon. They usually advertise that they work with linux.
