Why not randomly switch up shipping between USPS FEDX and UPS to make profiling harder?

Given all the worry about major vendors getting their packages profiled why not switch up the company that ships your gear along with switching up your stealth???

I know the rational behind using USPS since ideally they would need a warrant to open your package but i really think that protection is over stated. PLUS from my understanding that protection only applies to FIRST CLASS MAIL.

So why make it easy for them by letting them see every package you ship? It seems to me it would make it much harder for LE to profile vendors and buyers if they have to navigate the bureaucracy of three different shippers. Any thought?

EDIT: Priority mail is first class. Sorry for the confusion.

Priority mail requires a warrant aswell, as it is technically considered "first class"

OK yes priority mail is considered first class. That was really hard to find written clearly.

[2 Points] This_Is_That_Moment:

The need for a warrant is a lot more significant than you seem to think. The protection needing a warrant grants far exceeds the protection received from splitting your packages up between three different companies...two of which allow LE to easily inspect packages they deem "suspicious".

[2 Points] None:

Priority is first class. Their naming conventions are fucked. Not your fault, but it is protected.

UPS or FedEx can and will open your stuff. I'm not saying they open everything. But one time I was shipping something UPS. Went to their store to ship. The clerk asked how I packed up the stuff inside and said that I can't have newspaper in there and before I even knew what was happening she was ripping open my package and repacking it the "right" way. Thankfully it was just some electronics and not a big old pile of weed.

HOS said they were making changes to prevent "profiling", possibly as an excuse when they let their postroom get in a mess and people's orders were late.

I assume they went out and bought some different envelopes. Maybe hand-wrote the names and addresses or used a different font.

Or maybe profiling doesn't really happen. Perhaps there is no machine that can tell if one item of the thousands of tons of mail is from HOS, and if they use thousands of humans to keep a look out for a particular colour envelope with a particular font on the address, how often would the profiler have to brief these sharp-eyed drug envelope spotters?

Who don't exist.

We no longer have to go to the wrong side of town for drug deals with tooled up gangsters behind a steel door with runners and lookouts. All danger of being shot or stabbed has been removed. Only now I'm beginning to think that americans are scared of the postman.

[1 Points] YellowPotatoDog:

It has everything to do with stamps, and not having to buy through an electronic payment process or in person.

[1 Points] WouldYouBelieveMe:

You're making a large assumption by saying HOS is being profiled.

You probably should remove her name from that; seeing as it's most likely not the case. Some impressionable noob could see it and forever have HOS associated with profiled.
