Moronic Monday - It's your weekly stupid questions thread!

Hey /r/DarkNetMarkets , it is time for Moronic Monday!

Post your question - stupid or otherwise - here to get an answer. Anyone can post a question and the community as a whole is invited and encouraged to provide an answer. Many questions get submitted late each week that don't get a lot of action, so if your question didn't get answered before, feel free to post it again.

I do ask that you refrain from abusing noobs in this thread. Feel free to link to guides, though.

I have two questions.

1) I installed i2p, configured my IE and can acces the market, but I dont know what TAILS is and if I should use it. Can anyone explain/ tell me if I have to use it in order to be safe?

2) Do I have to use Bitcoin fog or am I safe if I only use PGP and deposit the BTC from my MultiBit account?

So safest way to purchase is.. use tails, turn on I2P on Tails. wait for tor to connect. buy bitcoins with my bank. send the money to bitcoinfog then send it again to a market. use PGP then purchase?

Should we be using a VPN while posting on this sub? Or is there a way to get someone's location/identity from only their reddit username?

How do people not get caught by using these sites?

There were rumors going around after Silk Road went down that Tor had been heavily infiltrated buy law enforcement, to the tune of about half of all exit nodes. How much truth is there to that, and how much risk does it create for users?
