Risks

I am trying to think of all the ways I can be royally screwed by doing this, and have come up with these 3 basic ways. Now I'm seeking advice on how likely each one of these risks is to occur. And how good these methods for avoiding them are.

1) Vendor scam. This is actually the least risky (because all you lose is money, see below for worse) but perhaps the most likely. Basically, order something and it never arrives and vendor splits town with your cash. Ways to mitigate? Don't FE. Except that eliminates 50% of available vendors. Even if you do FE there are still ways vendors can scam, eg. wait for autofinalize, ship to a bad address, etc. In any case, if I get scammed like this, I'll chalk it up to experience and basically just try to find a good vendor based on all the tools out there (feedback, forums).

2) LE scam. Your vendor could be LE or package could get intercepted in transit and then CD. Then angry men with guns handcuff you and take you away. With a clean record, I would probably eventually be ok, but it would cost a shitload and would probably lose my job. This sucks. I would rather get vendor scammed 20 times over than get busted. How can you feel safe that when you send your address over PGP the other guy on the receiving end of that email isn't really the feds?

3) Ok, I saved the best for last: let's say you get a package open it up and it has exactly what you ordered! Hooray, you're thinking, vendor didn't scam you and LE nowhere in sight. But then you take said materials and they turn out to be fake or poison or whatever and you end up in a coma or just fucking dead. Clearly the risk of this is lower than the above 2, but the consequences are pretty epically severe, so it is worth taking all available precautions to verify that your stash is legit. How can you really do that?

  1. True, this is a risk and it does happen but I think the frequency of this issue is over played on this Subreddit (lots of "It's been 16 hours and my package hasn't arrived! XXX must be a scammer, a LEO, and zombie Kim Il-Sung reincarnated" posts around here).

  2. Ah, while this threat certainly is possible, if you research a vendor's ratings as well as their status in the community, you can get a pretty good idea what kind of person they are and whether others have had success in ordering.

  3. Buy a test kit! BunkPolice.org

As you said, this is a real risk and probably the most likely. Now you didn't say where you live nor what you are looking to order, but as long as you don't live in Australia this advice should be fairly accurate. While removing vendors that require FE will reduce your options, there are nearly a dozen markets with at least three or four that have thousands of listings. So unless you want something very rare and specific sent to a country with tight customs, you should be able to find what you want.

That being said, there are thousands of FE orders a week that a delivered perfectly fine, the scams are pretty rare, especially if you do your homework. Check the forums of the market, check the feedback, check for review on here and that market's sub. Put all of that information together to get a better picture of the vendor and then decide your risk from there. Never spend money you can't afford to lose. Keep that in mind and even if you do get burnt, you're just out of some money.

Number 2 is really two different things, so I will handle them one at a time. First I will talk about the vendor being LE or compromised by LE, which are actually two things as well. The odds of a vendor straight up being a honeypot vendor are astronomically low, especially for small, personal use orders. LE already have as many low level drug users as they can handle (more actually) so they don't really need to go to the hassle of setting up shop online to catch some kid that wants to smoke some weed. This is just cost prohibitive.

As for a vendor being compromised by LE, this is slightly more likely as we saw something similar with NOD (I believe) but still is very, very rare especially when you are talking personal amounts. LE isn't going to just sent out a shit ton of drugs to people in hopes that they can catch them and they can't send out bunk drugs because the scam accusations would start almost instantly.

The second part of this is the controlled delivery, the most likely (of the unlikely) events you might experience. Realize a few things up front and if things go to shit you have a much better chance of not smelling like it. For domestic orders and interception of a package is very, very unlikely. Last year there were just under 14,000 package intercepted by the USPS out of BILLIONS of packages shipped. Even if USPS shipped 1 Million package, the intercept rate would be .014%, now if they only shipped 1 Billion the intercept rate is .000014%, and they ship Billions of parcels a year.

But let's say there is sloppy stealth or someone tips off the cops (which I have no idea how that would even work, but humor me) and you get a knock on your door. This is there there are two similar but quite different situations you might encounter.

The first is that you look out your peephole and you see some uniformed LEOs standing outside. If they didn't knock and then kick your door in then that means they do not have a search warrant and therefore do not have probable cause to search which means they have dick for evidence on you. At this point they are on a fishing expedition to try and get you to confess to something. LEOs are very good at fishing so I suggest you don't even answer your door. You have no obligation to open the door to anyone, including the police. They might sit and bang on your door and they might come back later, but resources are limited and they have other shit to do.

Let's say instead of seeing cops at your door it's someone dressed as a letter carrier, but he doesn't look like your guy that normally delivers mail. There is a good chance this guy is a postal inspector or a LEO dressed as a letter carrier. This is the classic controlled delivery everyone knows and fears. They have intercepted a package, found it contains drugs, have removed those drugs and replaced it with a decoy, and are now trying to get you to hang yourself by taking the package into your possession.

At this point, just assume you are going to be arrested, yes the next 48 hours of your live will not be awesome, but if you lawyer up and keep your damn mouth shut you will prevail.

Now at this point, you can just not open the door still, they will probably try a few times to deliver but still, resources are limited so they will only try so long. You can try to open the door and refuse delivery, this may or may not work, but if you prove you are home and talk to them, then LEO will most definitely search your place, legally or not, they don't give a fuck and no one will care that your rights have been violated. Consent to nothing, don't say anything and always step outside and shut the door behind you when talking to the police or really anyone.

It is best practice to keep a clean house when expecting a delivery, that way you don’t have to worry about the cops busting in a searching, helps keep you less nervous. Remember, never consent to a search, if the cops are asking that means they are fishing. If they have enough evidence to search, they won’t ask, they’ll just get a warrant and do it. If they do show up with a warrant, make sure to actually read the warrant. Make sure it’s your house, your name, the right day, and what they are actually looking for. The scope of their search must be fairly specifically defined.

Ok, finally, number 3 your last concern, which is actually two concerns but can both be rectified the same way, with a test kit. Get a 3 to 5 reagent test kit from either ebay, dancesafe.org or any other source you can. Even with just a Marquis reagent you can tell a lot, but with a Marquis, Mecke, Mandelin, and Simon you can ID just about anything under the sun that you are likely to run into. This way you can be sure you know what you are putting into your body and if someone sends you bunk shit you can prove it. That being said, it’s pretty rare to get bunk or the wrong stuff for an order because the feedback is so quick a vendor would get called on it very quickly. It still does happen from time to time, but it’s pretty rare, but it’s better safe than sorry.

TL;DR do your homework, don’t talk to or let LE search, and buy a test kit

[2 Points] stickchewer:

1: Happens, but if you don't FE and you pick your vendors, it doesn't happen very often at all, especially if you read the bloody page and note when it's due to auto end. You can always find what you want from a vendor who will escrow.

2: Rare, if not unheard of. You protect yourself with tails/tor/pgp e.t.c, so when they bust you they can't link you/your computers with actually making the order. If they can't get that link, anyone could have ordered those drugs to frame you. Also requires you knowing when to shut up and demand a lawyer.

3: Test your fucking drugs. Reagent kits are cheap, easy enough a toddler could use one, and require next to no product to test. They save lives. That, and vendors like repeat customers, not dead ones.

My street dealer poisoned me a couple days ago... So you run that risk no matter where you go. :/

I've only been using the dark net markets to order cannabis for about a year and a half now.

Smooth Sailing so far...my advice to you is no matter what kind of feedback the vendor has, just don't FE.

[1 Points] Trappy_Pandora:

All those scams can be avoided by peer review. If your vendor won't talk to you, and other people have nothing to say about that vendor, stay the fuck away.

[1 Points] huh_whut:

if you're that nervous or lack confidence in your own research, don't buy. simple as that.

[1 Points] NEVERFENEVERSURENDER:

Ugh, seriously, how are people so misinformed around here,

  1. Dont FE. Just because you rule out 50% of vendors that way means nothing, that simply means you weeded out 98% scammers, not 50% vendors. It's like complaining that you lost out on a $100 gram of pure heroin from the local street crackhead. No, you walked away from a scam, a 100% scam, you didnt walk away from a sweet deal or a vendor.

Fuck auto-finalize, autofinalize is there to protect vendors from buyers who go AWOL after getting the product. It's NOT there for vendors to get paid quicker. If you don't receive your product before the auto-finalize date and the necessary inspection time (if you need 2 days to inspect, and are given 2 days inspection, then you are guaranteed your 2 days inspection time), then open a fucking dispute. A lot of vendors scam this way. It's the same thing as the FE scam.

Dont FE, and you elimnate 100% the risk of scam...

  1. No, LE is not going to be a vendor. If they sell to someone, and they OD, they are going to be i way too much shit. Especially if it ends up going to a minor, or someone connected's kid. Now, LE are often buyers, but you arent talking about vendor risks.

CD happens due to a combination of multiple orders, large quantities, and shitty or predictable stealth. If you order quantity, especially overseas, especially from 'hot' places like Netherlands, then you need to step up your OPSEC,

  1. That's called Finalizing Early... dont finalize until you've verified the product. If you need to open a dispute so you can inspect the product with the allotted 2 day inspection period, then by all means do so. It is to protect legit vendors as well - no vendor wants someone saying their shit was bunk, because of an accidental misship or packaging (doing hundreds of orders a day, believe me, it isnt uncommon, I've gotten wrong ships and extra ships from the biggest, most reliable vendors).

Get yourself some testing reagents, they are $15 for pretty much every reagent youd need on ebay. Just a $5 bottle of 15ml Marquis is worth it's weight in pure cocaine.

Pretty much everything you stated comes from FE'ing. FE means you finalize before you verify the product. Don't let vendors bully you, the BUYER is the one with the power. Get yourself testing reagents, but you can always do a tiny dose. Chocolates, edibles, blotter, they are easily faked, never assume the powder you got or whatever you got is legit. Vendors can fuck up lays and orders just as honestly as a dishonest vendor can scam your shit.

If you keep your street smarts about you, you should never be scammed (or at worst, lose half a dollar from spare change on an exit scam market). It's pretty straigtforward, never keep money on markets, always use escrow, never allow finalization until you've verified the product. You have the 'right' to 2 days inspection period. Hopefully you arent a completely uninformed dipshit and got your shit together and have some reagents, but if you need that 2 days, use it.

NEVER FE NEVER SURRENDER

The first is always a risk and you have to be smart about what you are doing, just like in real life.

If you are afraid of the second, just do your research and buy from vendors that are established already.

Hasn't even happened. Again, doing your research helps with this.
