Background: I'm 18 and living at home. I've ordered from DNM's in the past to my home address (super fucking shitty of me, I know) and I'm now planning on getting my own PO box to not put my family at risk.
My question is, when you sign up for a PO box, you have to present two forms of ID, both with your current physical address on them, so if, god forbid, a CD were to happen, am I still putting my family at risk due to our real address being linked to the PO box? By getting a PO box, am I really putting only myself at risk?
I don't want to use a fake ID, because from what I've read on here, they can cause more issues than they solve, and the only way I could get a fake ID would be through a DNM anyway.
I absolutely do not want to ruin my parents livelyhood because of my poor decisions.
Thoughts?
Edit: I also want to point out that my father requires special security clearance for his job. Would this be effected if a CD were to happen?
I don't know for 100% sure but I would venture to say that you do risk your fathers security clearance. I have an extended family member with a low level security clearance, yet my criminal background was taken into consideration. Not only that, but the FBI wanted to talk to me and I hardly even talk to this family member. My criminal background consist of low level drug charges and I have no ties to anything that would risk sensitive information getting out.
