Sent Package with no Apartment Number, Where do you think it went?

Through my own fault I left out my specific unit/apartment number from my address on a package, where do you think that package went and should I be concerned?

I'm worried it was just left at the front office with my name on it and they opened it..

Should I clean up my apartment or something?

Did you downvote your own post?

I don't think the people that work at the front office will open your mail. How long since you ordered? If it hasn't been sent yet message your vendor immediately.

Otherwise you could tell the front office that you are expecting a package. That would take away plausible deniability however.

If you get mail regularly the mailman might recognize your name and put it in your box, I guess it depends on how large your apartment complex is.

Opening other people's mail is illegal.

You are over thinking this. Its illegal for anyone else to open your mail, wrongfully addressed or not. You should go to the front desk and tell them you are expecting a package and you have not received it yet, and you are wondering if they have it. Who's to say you're not expecting something from amazon or ebay? The deniability is still there.

I'd honestly be way more worried about a package containing drugs with my name and address on it sitting at the front desk for weeks until they either get curious and open it, or return to sender (which is more than likely a fake address or someone's business) next thing you know someone opens the package to find a "strange powder" with your name on it

You get my point, just go get it. The longer you wait the more suspicious its going to be. They are not going to have cops on stand by waiting for you. And if you are that paranoid about it, get the pack n drop it at a friends house (or a secret location) for a for days.

Stop reading this and go get your drugs!

Oh and a protip for you; put your apartment number on there next time!

Good luck

Cleaning up your apartment is always a good move. Sometimes you'll unearth old vinyl records that have been hidden beneath soggy blankets, or little bits of discarded Oreo's that haven't yet become totally overtaken by poisonous bacteria, or even that cat you thought had run away last month.

What was in the package?

lots of delays due to taxes... if it was sent to a apartment most sort there own mail..should be a issue as long as the name was real to the apartment leaser ...

Like other posters said, it's most likely going to the front office, and then it's just going to sit there unopened until you collect it. Nobody's opening the package. They can't know what's inside, and people would be pissed if the office just randomly searched their tenants' mail.

Though, if you're unlucky, the package could potentially be deemed undeliverable and returned to sender.

I checked and it's not at the front office and not in my mailbox, leading me to believe it was returned to sender, however we all know that is going to fail. What happens next? When they realize the return address is fake

If it's through regular mail the postman normally knows the names of people in each apartment and will deliver it. If it's the like of UPS they take it back to the depot and try contacting the sender to see if they have more information about the delivery address. If it's not resolved within 7 days it will be returned to the sender, although if it was sent through UPS it would have a tracking number and you would know where it is.

Get your package asap, apartment managers are super shady and will not hesitate to open your package if you go too long without claiming it. The good thing is, anything they find is unusable in court because who's to say the package arrived with those contents, not to mention you can sue the shit out of them for opening your mail, even while denying any knowledge of the illegal contents.
