Warning: Silk Road 2 back on the take.

SR2 is down ONLY for new users that have recently signed up and made a deposit. They're greeted with the message - "Silk Road is experiencing high server load. Please try again in thirty minutes. "

This is clearly nonsense because as a new or existing user without a deposit you can login and browse the site with no issue. I tested this and directly after making a deposit you get then get the "high server load' screen.

The thread on their forum is here - http://silkroad5v7dywlc.onion/index.php?topic=38028.0

Looks like it could be another scam - doesn't look good If you can get out.

How are people taking this idiot post as anything other than pure speculation?

Reload the page. Even with an old account, this screen occurs, reload the page and it typically goes away.

So are you able to get to the login page with both new and old accounts, and it is only after entering your un/pw that you get the high server load message, or does it come up before you've even entered a login?

I just created an account today, thankfully, I sent my coins to BitcoinFog first...

wow. SR is surely becoming more and more unreliable. If this turns out true, it would be a shame. You would figure people who operate markets would be smart enough to realize that you make MORE money being legit rather than going rouge and stealing from your clients.

sigh :(
