How difficult would it be to obtain a gun on the dnms

With this recent gun drama I've heard from many people saying it's easy to acquire a weapon from the DNMs. That just doesn't sound right to me however I don't know for sure. I don't know if there's a secret market for it nor do I know much about LE having fake listings, so I was wondering if any of you could share your two cents on if that's even a viable argument against gun control.

P.s. apologies for the somewhat deceiving title

Edit: I have no intention on purchasing a firearm to be clear

I’ve heard from many people saying it’s easy to acquire a weapon from the DNMs.

They lied

[20 Points] XmrFanMan:

There's been a lot more cases of people buying from federal agents on the dnms than cases of successful buys.

That's not proof, but the general consensus has been that arms dealers on the dnms are either scams or feds.

[8 Points] CocaineNose:

I would say 95% of vendors selling guns are LE.

From what I've seen, it's not terribly hard, but the selection is very limited compared to the legal market, and what you find tends to be more expensive than its documented counterparts of the same model regardless of condition. This is in no way a political statement, but the idea that people will be able to acquire firearms illegally on the streets or on the dark net just as easily as people do legally ignores the realities of scarcity. As others on here are pointing out, a lot of the listings could be LE, and that's yet another deterrent for people to make dark net purchases. Even if you successfully acquire a gun, if you want to use it, you'll still have to acquire ammunition.

I imagine that if significant policy change happens, you might see something like Armslist pop up on the dark net. Even then, it will be subject to the net supply change from buybacks and turn ins. Prices will go up. Also, you'd have to ship long arms disassembled to make it less likely that someone would be suspicious of the shape of the box.

guns are hard as shit to source on the deepweb. the whole thing is better acclimated for drugs and CP

[2 Points] greenkont:

I’ve read way more articles of people getting busted/Controlled delivery through trying to buy guns/ammunition/explosives from the darknet compared to anything to do with large quantities of drugs

I wouldn't order from a DNM goto a state with loose gun laws and hit a fun a show. I bought a AK47 semi auto variant at 18, no background check. However it's possible to mail guns, my grandfather mailed a .357 magnum xl barrel, no stealth, no anything. He's 70, he just threw gun in a box and took it to the post office. Knowing full well how illegal it was, but the gun landed at his brothers house, just fine. My grandfather's a fuckin gangster.

MUCH more difficult than IRL...

[1 Points] twigburst:

I agree with that.

[1 Points] tripandtrap:

Jesus Christ please don't. Best case scenario you'll get scammed. Worse case scenario you'll get arrested. I've got balls big enough to order from NL, but I would never touch the weapons market.

[1 Points] tripandtrap:

If you really want to get a gun just dress the part and go to a gun show. Yeah the place will be crawling with feds but if you carry yourself properly and dress up like a weekend suburban warrior you'll be good to go.

[1 Points] Schwoops12:

Find a Vietnamese plug irl, its more likely to happen than ordering online and not getting stung

[1 Points] KnowsAboutShrooms:

There's been the same senseless bullshit marketed from the beginning.

Guns and Kiddie Porn are universally shunned in this loose community. I can't cite a single community that readily endorses either.

[1 Points] disc0_AlphaBay:

Poopydope: There are legit vendors, there is LE for sure and there are way more scammers.

I saw only a couple vendors I thought were legit in our weapons section.

The belief that LE cares about guns the most is open to debate. Fent is killing more people than DNM Glocks.

Mods should flag these posts and remove due to all the heat around guns on the US right now.
