Get your checklist ready - domestic, FE, pricing etc - and once those are ticked, have a snoop. Here for reviews, market forums etc, or just drop them a line. It's less science and more art from then on. You'll get a certain vibe and roll with it.
Be honest with yourself too. Common noob pitfall is putting price into top three attributes to look for. Solid step to poverty, that one. Get some good transactions under the belt with 'trusted' and known vendors, then once you get a feel for things you can start messing with what boundaries you're willing to push. But if you're honest with yourself, you can trust yourself - I've used plenty of vendors with next-to-no research as we've crossed paths on a forum or someshit and it just felt solid. Also been ripped by fuckers who I'd investigated enough to tell them what their grandparents ate for lunch on the seventeenth Tuesday of '56. Trust your gut, trust the numbers, trust the opinions of reviews around here, then question it all and assume it's wrong, and you're on your way to being just as indecisive as the rest of us.

It is hard to find EU vendor reviews here so I usually check all the feedback in the market I'm ordering. Read every review and pay special attention to the recent ones (you can read some old good reviews and then notice that in the last weeks/months anyone isn't receiving their orders from that particular vendor). I also make a small first time order before buying big amounts.

Honestly, I just check on /r/darknetmarkets and /r/agmarketplace to find the reputable vendors. If they have been reviewed positively by at least a few people, they're good. Still wouldn't FE unless it was someone like HoS or Reximusmaximus

I look for reviews and then message the vendor a question and see how long it takes for him to respond.

Forums > reddit > on site feedback
If it's a new and upcoming vendor then I'll message the vendor with a couple of standard questions. Just to get a feel and use my gut to decide.
One automatic no for using a newish or established vendor is if the grammar is shit or full of spelling errors. I'll just ignore and move on to the next vendor. I feel that it's stupid to pretend to be ignorant. If you can't type in full sentences you probably don't pack and ship well neither.

Good advice here. Also I will watch a vendor on the market for a few weeks. For small to medium sized vendors you can track when an order is placed to the feedback. That way I get a good sense of how long they take to ship. I also have found vendors who pad their feedback in this manner when watching some vendors who moved to black bank from evo. They registered an account one day. Made a sale in a few hours and a few hours later had feedback. Lol.

Check market forums and reddit, look up stealth and selective scamming a hit of being bad on either i move on.

Search for them on reddit, grams, and various DN related forums. Keep an eye out for shilly reviews.
I go through all their feedback I paste their name in the reddit search and look at most recent reviews I ask a dumb question (Check their attitude) Then I take a live chicken and make him eat out of the yes bowl, or the no bowl.
Chicken knows all
