Our International Drug Testing Service will be presented in UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs

The United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) will hold its sixtieth session from the 13th to 17th of March 2017 in Vienna, Austria. In addition to the official agenda, a series of parallel events will be held on specific themes.

Energy Control, along with Acción Técnica Social (Colombia), Reverdeser Colectivo (México), Trimbos Institute (Holanda), Transform Drug Policy (UK) and the Austrian and Spanish Governments, have organized the parallel event "Drug-checking Services: Improving public health and safety" in order to introduce and promote the implementation of these services.

For us and for the rest of the organizations involved in this event, it is a great opportunity to defend the usefulness of the drug checking services at a high level meeting of the United Nations.

/u/EC-International What would you say the biggest hurdle is slowing progress for Energy Control when it comes to Lab testing and harm reduction?

Interesting! It's pretty strange how progressive the UN and some governments are with this stuff yet international drug policy is still so backward.
