Hi, I sometimes buy relatively small amounts ~$200 of coins through an online provider using a bank transfer. I recently got a call from my bank as I was trying to make the payment to check my details etc in case of fraud I was told. They asked me what the payment was for and, this is where I fucked up (I know), told them it was a company that sells currency online, which is the truth. Obviously I shouldn't have said that, but I panicked. They sent me a message a few days later asking for me to contact them regarding a payment which I ignored, and now I have been blocked from logging into my account. I need to call them to sort it out apparently. Does anyone have any advice or personal experience of situations like this. I'm UK based, I imagine the situation might be different in the US. Thanks.
Dude your bank is trying to protect you. If you ignore charges they will put you on high alert for ATO and fraud...prove it is you and you will regain access to your account.
Be more careful in the future. You didn't do anything illegal, but ffs Oy Vey Goyim you gave your bank a scare. Don't file transactions you don't intend to fulfill.
