So I've got a bit of a problem/paranoia. I just moved into a new apt and made an order with an extremely reputable domestic vendor that would be coming in a first class envelope, addressed to my new apt. It's been over 2 weeks since it was marked shipped (I let the vendor know). My concern is that it wasn't delivered to me simply due to the move/postman discretion on my new mailbox if the name wasn't on it yet. My question is, how do vendors usually do the return address? I'm worried that if it goes back to the sender and the address is fake, it gets flagged by USPS; if it goes to an address that's real but the person doesn't know the vendor, they could open the envelope and have my information right there in front of them and report to LE.
As far as my house, it's clean. Just my vicodin in my own script bottle. I use a USB boot and cleaned my laptop just in case. I just want opinions on what I should be on the lookout for/advice. Thanks!
Possible.
Possible. More likely if the address is fake then the first-class envelope gets thrown on the heap in the Dead Letter office and destroyed.
If the vendor's stealth is up to snuff, you have nothing to worry about...anybody but you opening that envelope would have no idea what they're looking at, and no idea that there are drugs in there.
Secondly, there would be a "chain of custody" issue there, because so long as you didn't run your mouth when they came to question you, they can't prove that the guy who opened it didn't slip the drugs in there himself. In the nightmare scenario you imagine, you never actually had any of the drugs in your possession, so unless you run your mouth, it would be difficult to charge you with anything.
