Best way to advertise for a direct dealing vendor

Hi guys, At this moment almost every market I'm on is down. I have my own site and I do direct deals but traffic could be better.

How and where is the best way to advertise? Any help/suggestions on how to improve traffic?

I have left reddit for a reddit alternative due to years of admin mismanagement and preferential treatment for certain subreddits and users holding certain political and ideological views.

The situation has gotten especially worse since the appointment of Ellen Pao as CEO, culminating in the seemingly unjustified firings of several valuable employees and bans on hundreds of vibrant communities on completely trumped-up charges.

The resignation of Ellen Pao and the appointment of Steve Huffman as CEO, despite initial hopes, has continued the same trend.

As an act of protest, I have chosen to redact all the comments I've ever made on reddit, overwriting them with this message.

If you would like to do the same, install TamperMonkey for Chrome, GreaseMonkey for Firefox, NinjaKit for Safari, Violent Monkey for Opera, or AdGuard for Internet Explorer (in Advanced Mode), then add this GreaseMonkey script.

Finally, click on your username at the top right corner of reddit, click on the comments tab, and click on the new OVERWRITE button at the top of the page. You may need to scroll down to multiple comment pages if you have commented a lot.

After doing all of the above, you are welcome to join me on a reddit alternative!

Advertising should never be necessary unless what you sell is extraordinarily rare or niche.

Don't you have repeat customers you like from the markets or your site?

Private business is slower going but its safer. You have to approach it correctly. You should have the mindset of finding the best of your customers and then inviting them to do business in a better way if they like. It shouldn't be "who can I indiscriminately rope into this?" but rather "who has been a good valuable consistent and likeable customer and thus deserves a more personal level of service?"

Or so I think. It's much like working as an independent consultant though which is what I've done for years now. I actively pick off people I won't work with for one reason or snothe, leaving only the masterpiece sculpture within the marble block.

Do you get what I'm saying?

Don't you have market customers you can bring over to your private site? That's your best means of promotion - offer direct dealing to customers who have dealt with you before.
