[VENDOR REVIEW] TripWithScience Liquid Mushrooms

This is more of a trip report, I had zero problems with the actual transaction. 10/10 communication, shipping speed, stealth/packaging, price, etc.

I decided to go on a solo hiking trip and take the mushrooms in the middle of it. I took one vial of psilocybe cubensis extract, which is supposed to contain the same amount psilocybin that you'd get from two dried grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

I took it on an empty stomach around 6:15pm. This was my first encounter with mushrooms. Other than cannabis and DMT (on one occasion), this was my one of my first encounters with a psychedelic substance.

For the first half hour or so I didn't notice much. Then around 7:00 I noticed I had a lot more energy, it felt like a stimulant. Once it got dark I returned to my car, and that's when I first realized how intoxicated I was. My car looked very peculiar, much blacker and smoother and slick than normal, almost futuristic.

I got inside my car and started listening to music. I remember fixating on a tree at the edge of the forest and seeing many interesting visual distortions. My visual acuity was very sharp - my depth perception was magnified and there seemed to be an ebb and flow to everything. My thoughts were getting a little crazy too, but the anxiety was benign. I noticed I was much more open to suggestibility, and I had to be much more mindful to not let myself get lost in thought.

By large the experience wasn't what I thought it would be, however. Perhaps from constantly hearing what others have said about their experiences with mushrooms, I went into it with high expectations. I took my dose at 6:15 or so and by 8:15 I was already able to start driving my car, and by 9:15 or so I was almost completely sober again.

I have to note though, I did experience some nausea about an hour and a half after my dose, though it went away whenever I took some deep breathes and calmed down. Still, considering it was a liquid extract, I was surprised. Perhaps I should have eaten something.

In addition to the nausea, I experienced some depression as the trip wore off, as well as insomnia, though I can't entirely blame the mushroom for that because that's nothing new for me. After going to the gym today and eating some healthy shit I feel much better.

I did this as a test to determine my sensitivity to mushrooms, and I think I've realized that 2 grams simply wasn't enough for me, at least considering what I'm looking to get out of them. I plan to order several more vials and try taking two, then three next time if necessary. Except maybe I'll try taking them with some food in my stomach. I'm more worried about nausea than potential anxiety, but we'll see...

Overall the experience was unique, I was expecting the mushroom trip to be similar to edible cannabis but it was quite different.

Mushrooms can elicit more emotions than pretty much any other chemical in my experience; I recently set one of Trips vials out to dry (just out of curiosity) collected the very small amount of leftover material and it appeared to measure out to around 15mg or so; dosing half of it was actually enough for some fairly strong CEV's and introspective behaviors that tend to only manifest when I take mushrooms.

I think my tolerance for tryptamines is abnormally low, however; I rarely need more than 2 grams before everything starts getting a little too...swirly and nausea-inducing. If you're in a difficult place mentally/emotionally/whatever other condition of human suffering we put ourselves through, mushrooms can exacerbate those feelings and really bum you out; I usually just see that as an opportunity to deal head-on with the source of that feeling and it's been immensely helpful in doing so.

Sounds typical to me. Shooms make you feel hyper-aware, eyes locked open, completely awake. Never experienced depression afterwards. In fact shrooms have been found to be a good treatment for depression... I blame the concentrate, it must have metabolized differently.
