Coinbase bitcoin purchase

Haven't bought bitcoin in awhile and after some small research, I'm hearing people have to wait several days before they receive their bitcoin. Is this still going on when purchasing from coinbase? I want to make a purchase but I'm afraid the value of bitcoin will go down during the wait time due to its volatility. Is there other ways to get bitcoin immediately upon purchase?

If you use the instant purchase option (as opposed to a bank transfer) it will be in your coinbase account within 10 min, usually immediately. Last time I sent from coinbase to my wallet (a week ago or so) it took less than 5 min to confirm.

ATM or coinbase with a credit card not a bank account

If you kids weren't scared of buying bitcoins you could be using Local Bitcoins.

I sell all day long on LBC nobody ever has an issue.

The problem right now isn't waiting for the BTC after purchase it's the fees when trying to transfer to tumblers, wallets or markets. I purchased $30 in BTC yesterday and the network wanted $26 of it to send to my wallet. Didn't matter how much I was sending...$3 or $30...the fee was $26. THAT'S the issue right now.

Enable the instant purchasing with CB. You have to add a credit card I think to do so. There used to be a 30 day waiting period after your first BTC purchase before they would enable instant purchasing. Not sure if this still applies. Not sure if they still do it, but CB used to mangle your shit on the multi-day purchases. They used to cancel your order if BTC rose a lot in value so you'd lose any gains since you locked in a good price. Not sure if they still do that shit. That shit turned me off completely from CB. BTC is too volatile to be waiting days.

LBC is easy but fees unfortunately won't be as good as CB. Bank deposits generally are the cheapest way to go.

Thank you to everyone who responded with answers. In the end, I had to pay a total of $550 to receive $480 worth of bitcoin. I had to pay around ~$25 for coinbase fee using a card, and then another ~$25 fee to transfer to another wallet. Also lost a few dollars from price volatility.

Why do people use coinbase? Many better options. LibertyX and low-fee ATMs
