How important do you think it is to make/buy shipping labels? Is it ok if the Seller uses printed labels for his 'return address', but hand writes the shipping info?

I'd assume best way would be to have printed labels on both, but is that something that should be standard now?? What is the best way to print outgoing shipping labels? Customer info.

Thanks A lot

I don't have time to find the case but there's a legal precedent regarding suspicious packages and what warrants enough suspicion for police to open the pack. I believe it was issued by a federal appeals court, but I'm working from memory. They listed a number of indicators they use to profile drug packages. Here's the list from memory: Handwritten Address All seams taped shut Return address is known drug shipment point(vague I know, that's the law for you) Extra Postage(Like extra stamps) Addressed to someone other than the residents(The mail people know who lives where)

There was a couple more. The court ruled that these were not creating a new whole new standard, but rather giving guidance to the lower court through examples. Meaning this list is not exhaustive, nor is there some number of these that make up the reasonable suspicion needed to open a package. There may be new caselaw that I'm not familiar with, but I guarantee that USPIS's regulations with regard package profiling are informed by case law.

TL;dr: Federal court of Appeals has said handwritten addresses make up part of the reasonable suspicion needed to profile drug packs. Just print a label you cheap bastards. Buy a pack of avery labels for like 8 bucks or spring for a real label printer at $100 or so. If you can't afford to print labels, you can't afford to vend.

A very legit vendor I use always handwrites smaller orders and without a problem.

if I tried to hand write all my addresses that shit would take like an hour and my hand would be cramping. fuck that. printed is the way to go. less chance of error too, just copy/paste what the buyer provided.

Use something similar to a microsoft office envelope template to create the address label, print it out on a regular sheet of paper, and then affix to the package with clear packing tape. For postage, just use plain old stamps and label 400 stickers if you want tracking. No need for anything fancy, in fact the less high tech the better in this case.
