Hey guys,
I've been using LibertyX at various retailers around my area (I live close to a city) and I'm beginning to see some issues with it. I'm making this post to determine whether or not it's location specific or if it's nationwide.
1) LibertyX skeets the retailers. Of the 7 retailers (only 3 provided the service) I bought pins at, I found out that the 3 received only like $1.50 per pin sold, regardless of how much the pin was worth. This led to one of the three retailers charging me an extra 10% to buy pins to compensate for LibertyX's lack of compensation.
2) Most retailers are unaware that they even provide such a service...at least their employees are. 4/7 did not know what the hell LibertyX was or what a Qpay pin was. At one of the ones who refused service, I talked to an employee, then a manager, and then the owner, who acknowledged that they had such a service but still refused to sell me a pin. ??!?!
3) LibertyX is still super low-key. Found out recently at one of the three retailers I go to regularly, that only I and one other person go there for pins. I plan to ask at the other ones and see who else uses the service.
Anyway, my main concern is #1. From a business perspective, this is almost like highway robbery to the retailers that provide the service. I understand that to keep the bitcoin rates as close to conversion rates as possible, they have to do this. But at this rate I may as well return to using LBC because with that 10% fee it's ridiculous.
Never had problems, I've the qpay and ace cash. Ace cash is instant.
