I just got a sheet of these a few days ago, and even though I'd heard plenty of phenomenal reviews on this sub prior to buying, I figured I'd test them with a kit I had just for the hell of it. Not so sure how to interpret the results.
Now, the tabs themselves are an orange gel material. So it makes sense that when in liquid some of that orange coloring would dissolve and turn the liquid orange, and that definitely happened. Problem is that a positive test result should be purple. I didn't even see the slightest hint of purple. I figured I might see at least a little, or maybe it would only be enough to slightly discolor the orange liquid, but it really didn't seem like there was any purple color in there at all, which is worrying. (I have pics I can post somewhere if anyone would like.)
Does anyone have any experience using these kinds of tests with colored gel tabs? Is it just impossible to make out the purple over the coloring of the gel? If that's the case, is there any other kind of test that does work with colored gel tabs?
Also, about the NRP tabs I do have, has anyone else tested these? Any luck? Honestly I was pretty certain they were LSD before testing them but now after that result I don't know what to think. Any help would be more than appreciated.
I think the problem between the EC report on NRP's tabs and this post is the medium. 100 ug is a relatively small volume within the geltab and i don't think it's evenly distributed the way blotter is. I have not reagent tested them myself but the effects ring true and they have a decent rep.
