Just thought I'd share my experience in case anyone here is wondering about the process of opening a PO box, if thats what you want to call it.
First off, I looked up online to find out pricing of PO boxes. I found out that in small towns (maybe smaller post offices) it is cheaper to rent a PO box. I selected the post office that would work for me and went in person to rent it.
When I went in, in person, they required two forms of ID. I assume this is standard. I only had my drivers license and was caught off guard by this. The postal employee said I could use a medical insurance card if I had one. The employee filled out the form for me and then went to a computer to enter the info. I paid on the spot and got two keys and was on my way.
There isn't much to it but I figured I'd share for anyone who may be curious.
Thanks I appreciate this info. Is it safer to get packs delivered to PO boxes? Or your home mailbox?
Also, with the forms of ID's, did they scan them or something or verify them or do they just look at it?
