Shorted slightly by vendor, how to proceed?

I purchased 500mg S Ketamine domestic from vendor I don't remember right now. Order placed Tuesday, received Sat with excellent stealth and even 2 free sample tabs of 2.5mg DOM. All awesome until I go to weigh out the K. Now I have been doing this a while, and perhaps have been spoiled by excellent vendors, so I was expecting the 500mg bag to weigh out to 550+ maybe even 600mg because many many vendors add extra weight to compensatw for what gets stuck to the bag. Taking this for granted is greedy but it happens alot and worst scenario is usually bag weighs out to .490 and there is some dust left lost inside. Unfortunately today, despite multiple weighings, and meticulous finegeling(sp?) to get every grain of powder out of the baggie I could not get above 420 mg. Now I'm a first-time customer with this vendor he sent me a free sample which is awesome it's a drug already have so unfortunately I don't really care about it but still you know it represents the fact that I believe them to be a cool and conscientious vendor if it were like 450 milligrams I would let it slide but an 80-milligram shortage just seems like a little too much for me to abide so is it reasonable to ask the vendor to ship out .1 or add .1 or so it's my next order ?(honestly I was not planning on reordering as .4 S K will last me a while with my usage,) I dont wanna seem needy or greedy but 80 mg of good S Ket would provide a decent experience or addition to a psychedelic experience for me and this half g cost twice as much as whole racemic grams elsewhere so I kind of want my moneys worth. What is the community opinion? Should I be happy as is, or politely fight for my .08? Thanks!!

Contact the vendor, and mention it. Like you say, most vendors are almost always over, so I'd say that one time of a slight short isn't too bad, but I would definitely still contact them to mention it.

You said you got a free same of DOM, so overall the order still sounds worth it, but if you get another shorted shipment in the future I wouldn't go back personally.

To me this is like buying Reeses, sometimes the cups are probably less weight than the previous time, but unless you weigh it out and try to calculate the exacts, it really doesn't matter too much as long as it isn't a huge short.

If you contacted any vendor and asked to pay 80% of their advertised price they wouldn't all be polite in telling you no way.

The vendor hasn't fulfilled the order. Be polite because it's nice to be polite but the bottom line is you haven't gotten what you paid for and that should be made right.

Dude... maybe it dried up more? But come on your complaining about hardly anything.

What kind of scale are you using? I assume its a milligram scale, it would have to be for you to be able to say it was 80mg short. What is the accuracy of the scale (listed and from personal experience). Do you see much powder stll on the baggie (even after you have worked to get out all the powder possible)?

But as long as your using an accurate scale that is still more short than is acceptable. A accurate milligram scale still usually has a +- few mg error. The cheaper the scale the bigger potential error. Most people are using cheap headshop or amazon scales instead of actual mg analytical balances. The Gemini-20, a popular model which can be bought on Amazon pretty cheap, list a +- 5mg accuracy in the specs. From experience, it can easily be +- 20mg when just calibrated. I can see it being 80mg off if it wasnt recently calibrated.

If it was a .01g scale instead of .001 then id say it is just as likely your scale not being accurate enough. Which is why i think vendors usually weigh heavy, not because of power sticking to the baggie, thats still usable product your getting. its not like it wasted and unusable, you can easily cut the bag open and get it all out, or even just lick the bag, whatever. they weigh heavy to account for any potential inaccuracy in the scale they used and even the scale the customer may use as to avoid having to deal with customers complaining something is short just because their scale sucks. thats why I did and anyone ive ever heard of did.

I dont think the vendor necessarily shorted you intentionally. Pretty easy for a cheap mg scale to get that off (which is why vendors include extra). You should still contact the vendor and explain to him the situation and see what he wants to do. At the very least he should make up the difference on a subsequent order. Or perhaps refund the equivalent amt of the order price. As someone who has vended for years, from a vendor perspective it can be pretty easy to suspect the customer made a mistake in weighing or something acccidently came out of the bag. Its not that much actual powder so could easily not be noticed. And if you weigh things out significantly heavy its even more unlikely what you sent was actually short.

That being said tho, in my opinion its still in the best interest of the vendor to make the customer happy and correct whatever they feel they were shorted. Even at a loss. Thats what id do, id probably even stomach the cost of shipping to send them more out immediately, and include alot more then they were really short as an apology for the inconvience. It may mean i dont make anything overall on the order, but i think it ends up paying off in the long term. In the good will shown toward the customer resulting in more future business. Not only from the customer, but other people that they said good things to say about you to, Good karma I guess. But I do also think that you shouldnt necessarily expect a vendor to go that far,

Apologies for the long reply. In short, just send a friendly not to the vendor and see what you can work out. If it was a multi gram order that would be one thing, but considering your only order 500mg in the first place, 80mg is a big amt.

Contact the vendor, if they're any good they'll help you out

I don't weigh my shit, and I'm certain I've been shorted or given something cut, but unless I felt like it was a huge issue I wouldn't bring it up. I mean, I've gotten fucked over a lot recently and that's more upsetting than getting shorted. I mean, your stuff arrived, I have 3 orders in the past 4 months not show up at all. The vendors didn't respond, either. Personally, I'd just chalk it up to a mistake on their part and let it go. You don't HAVE to buy from them again, or, if you choose to, message them in your next order something like "I liked your K, and enjoyed it a lot, however when I weighed it it was short roughly 80mg. Could you please add a little extra this time" or whatever. That at least shows you trust them, and by having a second order, they can trust you not to be scamming them for extras. Also, no one has sent me samples for free. Maybe you got the very last of their K and the tabs were "Sorry we're short, here's something to make up for it." Sure, they could've mentioned that, but they got other shit to handle.

I wouldn't have said anything. That is such a small minuscule amount. are you even sure you have a accurate and calibrated micro gram scale?

[1 Points] Udaypbuh:

Shorted less then a point and he gave you free shit. I think you'll be ok OP.

Pretty much the same thing happened to me, except the opposite - almost ALL of the product was unusable, (except it was kratom). The vendor said that it was supposed to be vacuum sealed, and it ended up not being so - so it was completely loose (the kratom sample). Because of that, it was impossible to recover the small amount from the GIANT bag it was in. The vendor stated they always put in extra (and reviews said it as well). The thing was - it was wrapped badly, and product was unrecoverable. With the tolerance to deal with, it ended up not being enough. The vendor had also lied or falsely advertised on three different matters - throwing in extra (heavy grams); plastic wrapped (wasn't any wrap) and was supposed to be all inside a mylar vacuum sealed bag. It was sealed, but it wasn't vacuum sealed, to it was just a mess.

I let the vendor know, without mentioning any sort of retaliation or threats like bad or neutral feedback. I simply told the vendor what I said above, but with the weight of what I recovered (which wasn't much at all). I asked them if I could get the rest of what was unusable sent to me, or if i could get a partial refund.

What happened? I got a refund! They did ask me not to put any feedback about getting a refund, though, LOL.

But for .08? Are you going to order from the vendor again? If so - just let them know, they should be able to just say next time you order, mention it again (they just are not going to remember, sorry)....and they should toss in the extra. Otherwise, I would count on just a small, partial refund instead of a reshipment for that small of an amount...

Give your BTC address and ill send you the amount in BTC. Just for taking the time to post this as a real life problem.

Seriously though, do you think the vendor intentionally fucked you on such little amount, man he prob wont even argue and just send you the coins.

You do know at weights that small, the wind blowing hard outside or someone shouting next door your wifi router rebooting, etc could alter the scales.

Complaining about less than a point ? Fuck over it and get off the market
