Looks like Kratom is back in the US

If anyone else can help confirm this I'd appreciate it. I'm fairly sure it's accurate but I'm having trouble believing that the petitions actually worked. If so this is great news for many people in the US.

Edit: Ok so I got a bit excited and worded this weird, I know it's legit I'm just too shocked to believe it.

I don't know what your asking here...

There is a link to the actual .gov site where thr withdrawal was filed. Yet you think someone on a dnm subreddit will be able to give you more info or be able to further verify it? Lol

Now if only they would remove 2C-H from Schedule I , since ya know, its not a drug and doesnt have any effects. It very literally does not belong there and meets none of the requirements to place a chemical in the schedule system. Its not bioactive. I am sure that if someone had the resources to fight it thru the courts it would be deemed invalid and removed from Schedule I, but whos goign to do that, no one.

DEA never seemed to really ever care if the things they were scheduling actually met the requirements for that schedule level. All sorts of Schedule I drugs have medical benefits, are not very addictive or harmful, etc... Its just where they put any drug they want to be illegal under all circumstances.

Head over to r/kratom all the info is there. But yes. The DEA backed off.

Yano it's funny that they actually backed off. i was certain the ban would go into effect this month. Not that i believe for a second the DEA or fed gov cares about people's wants, but why can't we mount a campaign for cannabis like the one we had for kratom? I truly wonder if millions of people started call flooding all the agencies they may soften their position faster then they are now. The only thing i can think of with kratom is they are planning to try and regulate it like any other rx. This same scenerio happened with MDMA in 1985 and in 86' they went ahead and put it on schedule 1 even though there were tons of doctors and psychologists that testified there was huge medical benefits to be had. Shocking really but Im relieved for all the people kratom benefits including the vendors who livelihoods depend on it.

I'm stunned. This is a first. Congrats to all the people out there who wrote letters or otherwise took action against the proposed ban. This actually gives me hope. I'm still confused and surprised.

Edit: I see they're going to pursue the normal scheduling review, so it's not over yet, definitely more to do. But it stays legal, for now.
