Why are you guys bitching about Nucleus?

Had 5 transactions on there, no issues.

Vendors get your ass out there

Back in the day Nucleus was responsible for some incredibly persistent shilling, with tons of fake accounts. The administrators were likely behind it since Nucleus has no paid incentive for members to shill unlike Agora. Pushing the market so forcefully was what made me stay away from Nucleus.

Then came the reports that Nucleus was allowing known scammers to operate, even after widspread FE scamming and the vendors being reported, no action seemed to be taken. This says to me that Nucleus cares more about the profits than it does about preventing scammers. That's not a great attitude to have when we are trusting the operators to keep the marketplace legitimate and tackle scamming vendors.

And finally the missing deposits, missing orders and general shadiness. I'm positive they were selective scamming by stealing user's deposits in the early stages. The amount of reports of missing funds at the time was massive. Nucleus seems to have wised up and stopped stealing people's Bitcoins, but take a trip down memory lane and you will see all the ugly scars that Nucleus has hiding beneath the surface.

I don't see why anyone would risk Nucleus when there are better options. Design is not everything. Does anyone seriously think Nucleus will not exit scam in ETA ~ 3-6 months?

Edit: Just looked back and found Nucleus' response to the claims it was selecting scamming. "You must have clicked a phishing link" even though the poster stated he used the link on the sidebar.

I agree. I've used nucleus and things went smoothly. So what if they shilled, or they allowed scammers or even if they do exit scam, who cares, there is other markets, as long as you order from a trusted vendor who u know from other markets etc, don't keep coins in the sites wallet and encrypt all contact, who cares what market you use, its all exactly the same, just different addresses. Why wait around for a market to come back up after being down every single hour when you can do EXACTLY the same elsewhere.

[2 Points] BahWhatever666:

I agree. I've had no issues with nucleus at all.

And frankly, the best marketplace is the one that is actually up and running. Nucleus hasn't had hardly any issues with uptime at all.

[2 Points] dexa_dnm:

Agree. I hear all the stuff u/_TheDesperado_ is saying, but as a personal buyer, Nucleus works just fine. If I was a Vendor, I'd be more concerned as it does have the Evo 'feel' to it. The people who REALLY get screwed in exit scams are the Vendors with $$$ in Escrow.

But at the end of the day it's all he says, she says and I'm still getting my orders, so... meh. More power to Nucleus.

We should all just run around and think that everyone is scamming and just go home.

Man... I am not wasting anymore breath trying to tell people to try Nucleus. More bandwidth for the rest of us as far as I am concerned. Every person who got FE scammed there was responsible for getting scammed. I got FE scammed there. It happens when you are not careful and FE for new or unverified vendors. As far as shilling goes... I hear more shills for Agora than ANY market. I mean I guess they are just fanboys or whatever... so... to each their own, but I actually like Nuke as much as I have any other market. All of the markets are sketchy though.

because there is no fucking good heroin on there site is good for nothing

Well, I would have agreed with you until yesterday. Left the house with an order waiting to be accepted, came back to a message sent to me and the vendor saying it was cancelled by the buyer (it wasn't). However, instead of it cancelling and giving me a refund it moved the order to accepted but not shipped. I have no course of action to take other than message support, who have been completely useless thus far, until the timer runs out I guess. Whatever caused this is a serious issue
