[GeneralQuestions] Would you want and/or use a simple market similar to Craigslist or based around a forums system (e.g. phpBB, reddit, etc.)?

I keep reading comments that seem to suggest it would be better for the marketplace to "get out of the way" and only be a method of connecting vendor and buyer. Rather than re-inventing the wheel, I was thinking of just spinning up one of the many OSS clones of CL or use some kind of forums software. I don't really want to manage some stupid escrow service where people can get fucked over again. If the system is kept simple it'd be pretty easy to manage and cheap to host.

People really have no freakin clue what they want. The problem with darknet classfieds is that they get filled to the brim to scams.

Personally I like connecting with vendors I've been using for awhile via bitmessage, torchat, or xmpp. Then just working with them directly. I still think it's important to use the markets for initial or large orders though. Really I would be most interested in a multisig escrow service that was just there to act as a 3rd party for transactions in case something happened to the buyer or seller. (Like bitrated for tor)

It needs to be classifieds. Then you access an escrow service that does not host any listings. It only allows you to go into escrow w people.

Then you can say "alright mr h dealer where can I find you I want 1 gr of 4."

He says "hit me up on the escrow you see my prices. Send me the 200 and pgo your addresss"

So now the two move to the escrow service. Where maybe it uses a number or w e. So everyone can grade this number "good transaction. Trustworthy" meanwhile the escrow service stays in the dark intentional about what is going on. It is a site to host financial transactions. Not host drug listings.

There's already something like that, The Majestic Garden. It's a forum where vendors can advertise their products and buyers can get in touch with them as well as leave reviews.

Not sure if this is still how it works, but when it first opened, it was run by the LSD avengers and they had to approve which vendors could or couldn't vend there based on feedback and past history vending, etc.

I volunteer to be the escrow holder for anyone placing bulk DNM orders.

Don't worry, you can trust me!

Nah. I stopped using the DNM awhile ago because it's too much a pain in the ass, it's too much of a hassle. I just buy my weed from a guy at work, he even hand delivers it to my house. Until there's some sort of market that basically does everything for me, that humans only maintain - but don't have access to any of the funding am I ever going to bother messing with the DNM again.

Fun to read the threads though.
