Is there a "market" that is just directory? If not, why not?

Hi all. I'm relatively new to deepnet markets.

When I was first introduced to DNM, I was overwhelmed by the number of marketplaces to choose from.

However -- to me -- they all seem very similar in how they function: you deposit bitcoin, order what you need, and the vendor withdraws the payment on the other end.

Why is a market wallet necessary for this?

I understand that it may be useful for escrow and if something goes wrong, etc. But a lot of vendors are FE-only anyways, so what's the point?

Is there a marketplace which is simply a bunch of vendors' listings, and when you want to buy something, you click a button that opens your bitcoin client?

Has anyone made such a "market". If not -- why not?

I guess you could charge vendors on a monthly basis, so money can't be the problem.

Also: wouldn't such a directory be almost legal to run? You are not selling drugs, you're just listing vendor's listings and bitcoin addresses. That's hardly any worse than r/darknetmarkets, erowid, pillreports, etc.

The closest thing to this is DHL which has "direct-pay". The funds go directly to the vendor and they get invoiced fees and pay at a later time. They just recently closed registrations though.

I've actually wondered about the same thing. If you set up a truly anonymous market, where the admin can't even see what's being bought and sold, and just blindly collects a commission, it seems like it would be legal under common carrier doctrine.

IMHO, here at Superlist is already some markets for example Bloomsfield which generate only unique escrow address per order, so there is no online wallets and also I still think online wallets is only space for scam and delayed deposits. There was another place with similar conditions which was called realdealmarket but it suspiciously disappeared after month of existence ...
