[Agora] announcement 2014-03-06

We have taken into consideration the current events and decided to take the servers offline for investigation of the effects of the ongoing DoS attack.
We estimate that we need maximum 8-10 hours for this and everything should be online again at 2014-03-07 07:00 UTC.
Agora team.

You see, this is what we're talking about. Just a quick, signed note saying we know what's going on and we got you. Thanks agora_voice, you have probably put a lot of minds at ease

It took all day to buy Bitcoins and have them transferred to Ag. I had everything PERFECT! I wasn't going to have more than $2.42 left over after my transaction.
The second I get my order ready address encrypted everything goes offline. I'm going out of town this weekend, I can't leave that much in that account. If bitcoins fall in the next 8-10 hours I will not be able to make my purchase.

Transferred coins from agora to btc wallet not showing up on blockchain took coins out, what do i do in this situation?

[2 Points] whyuslyingsheep:

But the "database" he listed is clearly compiled by viewing categories.

Notice the vendors are sorted by category

| HologramSales | | FearTheReaper | | businessdude | | gork | | flawlessfakeids | | FakeMarket | | DoctorMischief | | Passport_Connection | |

Unless Agora reorganised their database based on what we sell, hes just compiled this list himself

The story being given DOES NOT FULLY ADD UP.

When I logged into Agora this morning I noticed some oddities about the site. Within a few minutes I realized I was on a FAKE AGORA SITE. I dont know how this happened...same tor network connection and browser I ALWAYS use...on the same computer. But it was DEF a fake site.

So I instantly got on another computer, logged in, got onto the real site this time. Since my password was compromised by logging into the fake site, I instantly changed my Agora password. I posted what happened on the Agora forums.

Within 5 minutes of me posting and changing my password, the Agora site AND the forums all went off line.

The fact that somehow using TOR and the same Agora URL that I could land on a Agora Phising site is REALLY REALLY disturbing. This indicates something more is going on than just a DOS attack.

Thank you, investigating the issue right now. If this bug has indeed existed, it was due to the server not handling the DoS attack properly and must have been a random occurrence with no possibility to exploit purposefully. At this time we have made a general asset check and we can confirm that no large sums of money are missing. If anything at all was missing due to this we shall account the lost to ourselves, since in that case the server should have been more DDoS-proof. At this time we don't see a reason to shutdown access to the service, but we shall update if this changes. - admin on forums before this

Translation: OH SHIT OH SHIT we don't know what is happening!! Its probably the DOS

Hey agora, you are free to contact me if you don't want me to do it again soon as you come back.
