Received pink slip in PO Box for small package, what reason would they have for not leaving a dropbox key?

Usually if the package is larger than the PO box or if your box is stuffed they leave you a key to one of the larger PO boxes, i know the package i was getting isnt any bigger than one of those boxes and there are still plenty of them available, and it sure as hell didnt require a signature, at least the card didnt say anything about that, why else would they leave a slip short of a CD?

Did the drop boxes still have the keys in them?

Was it an overseas order? I've seen more of those requiring a signature upon delivery. I know you said there were plenty of boxes available, but maybe at the time they were filled up and people just claimed shit after the time it was delivered. COuld you just sign the back and have them deliver?

Also, someone posted here a pretty good thread on the USPS service this time of year, including delays and requiring signatures more and more. Its hard to tell. What are you going to do? Report back to us what happens!!

Sometimes you can sign it and leave it in the mailbox and request that they leave the package there.

two times now I've had registered mail which requires a signature not be delivered and no notification slip left and had to go to the post office and give them the tracking number from usps.com to find the package. Just laziness.
