Tracking not updating

Had a vendor claim to ship something last Thursday. Still hasn't arrived (Tuesday) so I asked for tracking, which shows no update, not even acceptance by PO. Vendor states sometimes packs don't show any updates until delivered. Anybody else experienced this? This is USPS domestic/priority. Vendoring saying a couple packs shipped out same day were affected. I'm thinking if pack was compromised it would at least have been accepted? I'd think they'd want to show regular tracking before a CD. Personally I've never seen it happen, both clearnet and DNM packs update tracking along the whole way, even Sundays... EDIT: Tracking finally updated and I had pack 2 days later. Vendor prob lied about when they actually shipped...

I agree, it should have shown up on the tracking as shipped and held up.

Deezy, I also always had my tracking updates show up too. I'm in the process now that a vendor told Me he shipped a certain day, then I found out he didn't send till weekend and my tracking just got updated Sunday night. I am notified of all tracking packs and hasn't felled me yet

I have some of the usps tracking labels. When I use them on a priority pack I am mailing it varies how often the scans actually show up. Last one showed it got picked up and then went from arriving at Atlanta sort facility and then nothing. Until Monday afternoon around 4, it was actually delivered at 10 that morning.

Even though it was priority I have seen many times using the old sticker tracking labels that they go at what would be first class times.

A while ago I had the same thing with tracking, I knew it was dropped, and it did not track until a week or so later. There were about 5 letters that were priority, and they all did end up scanning close to their arrival locations, and then delivered on the 8-10th days..nothing happened, they all arrived safely. I think they fell behind something or got left in a bin..who knows.

Happens all the time. I had a (legal) package coming out of Denver for Christmas. It showed up the 14th of December as "PO electronically notified of shipment". Nothing happened for 3 days and I emailed the shipper and they called their PO who said it had never been scanned in. So they shipped me a new one. The next day the original showed up in my local PO and and was delivered that afternoon.

Tracking has been completely goofy for about 6 months. I'm not sure if they changed software or what but it used to be dead on almost all the time.

compromised pack doesn't always equal CD. if they believe they won't get more out of it than is necessary to put into a raid and they happen to be out of ink that day for the printer that spits out the love letters, they'll just confiscate and destroy and everybody will be on their way.
