Do you mean Eth or Eth classic.. lol.. This blockchain had a smart contract system called the Dao in place that basically to tldr . It got hacked for lots of money investors devised plans to split the blockchain to keep the hacker from being able to get his money. The chain got split and some stayed behind to try and salvage the orginal community. Idiot new investors thought the split meant a new coin in Eth-classic and it took off. now the community is split and even though it's a legit system with lots of awesome uses. The real investors in the alt coin realm are over it . The next coin bested on it's model is going to be ridiculous. There are a few alrdy gaining in popularity. But all in all it will be another 6 months maybe before there is a new coin to talk about. That being said. lol and bitcoin is dead the ledger is full every trans and has been for a year. There is always backed up trans for the next block. You ever hear about ppl with electrum/tails crying about how long their trans takes even when they crank up the miner fee. Cause they still have the lowest priority and have to wait a few blocks anyway.

They will once they decided that's the next cryptocurrency they want to pump and dump.
Why would they? Bitcoin is head and shoulders above any other cryptocurrency out there right now, for any type of transaction strictly because it's most widely adopted and heavily traded. This translates into increased stability and liquidity at least in the aggregate. Which is important since, ultimately, these DNM products come from someone who only deals in dollars, euros, rubles, etc. For the DNMs to work on a practical level, crypto must be exchanged for legitimate currency at some point. Bitcoin is the most attractive right now, by far, in this one regard.
That's my take on it anyway, feel free to correct me where I am wrong.
