Reddit's new chat function

I'm a little worried about reddit's new chat function. When JS is enabled, reddit pages load indefinitely, so it's doing something, and I'm concerned it may have some way to leak IP for users not on TAILS. Is there any way to block the chat scripts from running at all, only using settings and plugins in stock TOR? I think we should find a way to do this.

Yep, I noticed that as well. When I looked into it, it's hanging on domains used for advertisements and analytics. It doesn't appear to be related to the 'chat' function, near as I can tell. But, your concern is still valid for non-secure setups. I'd even go a step further and recommend not enabling JS on Tails since IP leaking is still a hypothetical possibility (as opposed to, say, Whonix). But, since we both know that most people aren't likely using any added protection, it's definitely worth looking into. Though I'm not sure about the feasibility of blocking the chat function with Stock Tor/NoScript without killing other site functionality.
