shorted 1 pill. is this common? what is the best way to handle this situation?

I placed an order with a good vendor, that I have had previous excellent experience with, for 11 pills. The listing said "Must order 10 to get at this price" or something similar. I ordered 11 since I had a bit extra btc. When they arrived, there were only 10 in the pack. I really think this was an honest mistake...or even a mistake on my part: maybe they meant order exactly 10 and already had packs of that amount made up.

I know I should just message the vendor about this but now here is my other issue. I ordered express and after it did not arrive in 2 days I messaged the vendor. He said the tracking said it had arrived. It actually arrived the next (3rd) day. Now I know for sure this is an issue with USPS. Express often takes 2 days to this address, I even previously made a post asking about express on here. 3 days has never happened before which is why I asked the vendor. (If it was priority or anything other than express I would not have bothered the vendor that early!) The markings on the package clearly show the vendor mailed it when he said he did & it was scheduled to arrive before it actually did so I know it was entirely USPS problem.

However, since I've already messaged with this issue, do I bring up the missing pill? I have a good reputation on agora & so does the vendor. I would like to maintain a relationship with the vendor & buy from them again in the future without issues. Do I mention it but not ask for a refund? It is only a $25 loss, plus the cost of express that wasn't express, but I want to be able to trust that it won't happen again.

Am I over thinking this? Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? what did you do? This happened to me before but with someone who ended up being a huge scammer. I do not think this vendor is a scammer at all but I don't want to be seen as a scammer either for 1 pill. Does it make sense to just tell him what happened & not ask for anything in return or do I just not say anything at all?

Edit: Finalized & left positive feedback but included a message on the order page about the missing one. I appreciate the advice of this community.

I think you are overthinking it. I think its fair to bring up, esp for a $25 pill. If the vendor intended for you to order in blocks of 10, they would have made the listing such that each item contained a set of 10 pills. Its common for vendors to enforce a minimum on individually listed pills. So that's not the issue, you should be able to order 11, 15, 20, anything over 10.

It was probably an honest mistake. I do know that some vendors put on their profile that they double check every order and don't try to scam them and claim you were shorted. But people make mistakes. It happens. I guess the type of response you may get will depend what the vendor has their profile page. Like I said, some vendors seem adament that they never under-ship. But I'd let the vendor know and see what resolutions they offer.

I'd just bring it up, note that you're not worried about it, and will continue bringing him business. If you're a loyal customer, he'll be a loyal vendor. Might toss extras in for you from time to time.

What the fudge were you buying at 25 a pop?

IMO the price was set for 10 pills - so you only got 10 even tho you ordered 11.

I'd just take it as a loss rather than being 'that' customer. ;)
