Tried to find out as much as I could without seeming overly curious. Apparently they tried to deliver a package this morning and my co-worker wasn't awake- so they left a note with a # to be called for a re-delivery attempt. She called it back and fairly quickly a USPS Postal Inspector (didn't know specifics- said he had a badge he showed her) and another USPS employee came back with the package and asked if they could open it in front of her. The package was not for her or addressed to her, but rather to her roommate under a False name (roommate is a drag queen and used that name, lol) She didn't really know what to do and was very nervous and said they could. She ALSO allowed them to step inside to open it (they requested to step inside).
They opened the package and it was a wig. She responded that "Yes, my roommate is a drag queen". (Yes this is all true. I have to hear about this shit on a weekly basis) Inspector thanked her and wished her roommate goodluck on the upcoming drag event.
Here's what we know:
Package was sent priority express. Package was sent from within U.S.- not from or to any "legal" states. Package was addressed to False name Return address seems to be legit. No idea if handwritten or typed. Roommate gets packages regluarly. Roommate supposedly on the up and up. Unsure if any other people/USPS/LE waiting outside.
Just thought I would share. That's all I know/remember. Won't be able to respond to any questions for a few hours as I will be afk.
That's not cool using a false name, its almost like her roommate was trying to.. drag her under the bus...
