Canadapost Strike - Canadian Vendors, what will be your alternative?

I am getting a lot of messages from buyers asking what I will do when the strike starts.

What shipping method are other Canadian vendors planning to use, or are you simply going to take a vacation until CP is back?

Purolator and Fedex do offer pre-paid envelopes just like Canada Post does and they even have drop boxes in cities but the cost for these envelopes is far more than what Canada Post charges. Its an option but one not viable for small orders. Good for larger orders or for those who are desperate.

Another option would be for the vendor to hire people across Canada to receive large packs from an alternative courier and distribute them on the vendors behalf to customers local to them but this for many could be a huge opsec concern.

One vendor who shall remain nameless offered to ship via custom carrier, sig required, for 60USD! Considering I'm in the same city and most deliveries require a 65 cent stamp, I said f that. If they didn't freakin bail at the beginning of the week before the strike was even imminent i'd have my delivery. Now we'll have to wait to Friday to see what happens.

Idk if people know this but you can mail stuff through the greyhound bus services. Bubble envelopes, boxes and boxes big enough for bikes. But no idea the price. But I do know they ship everywhere.
