What are your thoughts on sending to PO Boxes? I wouldn't try it for larger things where you have to go to a call window to pick the package up, but what about for small items that arrive in letters that go directly in your box?

They aren't a problem. I've signed for shit that came to mine, too. International packages. As long as you aren't a vendor or ordering massive quantities you don't have any extra concerns compared to having something shipped to your house.
If I were a buyer, I would think twice about shipping anything larger than a few grams to a PO box. If you aren't reasonably certain it will fit in your box, consider what you'll do in the event that you have to go to the desk to pick it up(pro-tip: you can never be certain a vendor's stealth won't make it to large to fit in your box)
