I've been active in Shadowcash since the testing phase of the original mobile wallet many months back. The project was unnoticed for a long time but the devs kept bringing out new technology. A few examples are:
At one point I also believed some of the goals set by the SDC team were too good to be true but they delivered. In this scene only quality talks, I encourage anyone who wants to invest to download the wallet first and check out the technology inside before buying, I can guarantee that after a play you will feel a lot more confident in your buy.
This dev team punch way beyond their weight, if anyone were to release a decentralised marketplace I would have 100% faith that these guys will be able to pull it off with flying colours.
As for the coin itself, it undervalued as fuck...

Is it save to use? Their client runs as an application

Ok I don't feel like reading through all this shit. Just give us the rundown:
TAILS? How painful is it to run on 1.3?
Escrow? What's the deal?
Coins traceable?
Beta limitations? Which features should be there but aren't ready yet?
Search function?

Hard to say really. I guess time will tell. They better open source the market too, as there will be more than one person wanting to check out the code to make sure it's clean.

I hope it is all as good as it seams although they haven't exactly cleaned their tracks if the shadow coin youtube channel is theirs, i mean there is a guy test riding a scooter showing full plates and decent enough pics of his face. thought it might be just a fan video until i seen the amount of coins in his wallet on the latest video. hope im wrong though.

BTW what is that "block of transaction history" and why the app automatically downloads it ?
I have been looking into Shadowcash and Shadowmarket for the last few days. If anyone is interested Motherboard just posted an article about it. The thing that gets me is that the system is almost to perfect and to good to be true. People are also starting to get wind of it and the price has steadily been on the rise (+100% gain in 7 days). I was originally very interested in OpenBazaar and Syscoin, I did a lot of research on them, yet Shadowcoin suddenly appeared out of nowhere and seems to be shitting on every other decentralized system that has been announced and is in development. The developers are also anonymous, which is a bit shady, but if their plan is to create a "Decentralized Silkroad" then that would be the right way to go about it. So what gives? Where is the cach?
