Quick post before I head off to my shit job. I've been talking to quite a few users on this forum and other related subs and I'm always encountering toddlers and infants flaming other users for the dumbest shit possible.

For example... I log in through reddit to the superlist and even before I have a chance to blink my eye, I see this.

Whet_Drymen 5 points 3 hours ago "Someone ban this fucking junkie loser. Go relapse, no seriously dude go get hooked on your fucking dope again, you sound like a fucking idiot, I dont think it's gonna make a difference if you're clean or not.

Yeah, our little secret club is getting ruined by little kids!!! It's not fucking idiots like you. Seriously go get hooked again, those days were probably the peak of your life."

Not really complaining, but it would be nice to have a friendlier community. Rather than flame junkies and bartards why not ignore them or show them some good advice to follow? Not eveyone needs to be a shallow piece of shit, nevertheless a toddler who cries at every single thing. Thanks.

One of the main problems with this sub is that more people create shitposts complaining about the sub or trying out their darknet comedy bits here, than actually discussing the darknet.

The sub has went downhill over the past year

[1 Points] ItsAllJustPretend:

I'd say there are some (most, even?) members are still contributing members of the sub. Unfortunately the most annoying/worst posters/etc are the ones who are the loudest. Just downvote and move on, ignoring them is the best bet. And seriously, don't tell people to go kill themselves or go relapse, this sub's culture and mentality has always been about safety and harm reduction, something let's please not forget

Yea i saw that, that was pretty fucked up.

I hope this subreddit gets revived. I may not be a long memebr but i remeber 7-8 months ago the subreddit always had something going on and we had so many intresting and unique members that arent here anymore, its a shame really.

I think some of the quality posters (actual contributors, people who give thorough reviews with pictures, or add to a thread (even if it's misguided, it's not malicious) got run off for whatever reason. I really loved this sub last summer and posted a lot of reviews...then got an-unwarranted shadowban from a former mod, with no warning and it wasn't rectified until the mod who banned me left and /u/Theeconomist1 looked into it, sent me some PM's and fixed it.

It doesn't exactly encourage someone to post anything worthwhile when shitpost after shitpost or exit scamming FUD gets front page traction.

I used to come here a lot more often, but the posts all look the same, same questions, same vendor reviews, same FUD.

I'm glad there's new blood (and one AI ;)) on the mod team. If nothing else, new personality will infuse the sub with a different point of view, perhaps something less jaded and will make me want to see how this year unfolds.

Welcome /u/Seraphim_X, /u/wombat2combat (ohhhh, the back end can be a nightmare!!), and /u/cidilicious. I hope you guys do great things this year!

Everybody says this every year but I think 2016s grumpiness is due to the mourning of u/Vendor_BBMC, u/Theeconomist1, u/Trappy_Pandora, u/MDMangel AND u/samwhiskey all leaving us. Everyone will/is greatly missed by SOME and the general atmosphere got a bit depressing. I'll miss everyone.

That still doesn't change the fact that there will always be pricks, scammers, identity fraudsters, phishers, unethical hackers, and other assholes among us. When you encounter them, just ignore them. Nothing makes a middle schooler more bored then when nobody answers their stupid comments. These fuckheads who seem to criticize other drug users, on this subreddit of all, are no better then the people they insult. If you're not here doing something thing useful for your drug escapades, the community or lurking, then wtf are you doing here? The others have to be simply publicly shamed, economically murdered and LE called upon. ACAB, but tax money does go to pay for dealing with things such as fraud and so long as your OPSEC is tight, LE is not always a bunch of motherfuckers who will try to screw you anyway possible to fund next years budget.

We also can't forget, with each passing year the DNMs only grow in popularity. The 2016 Global Drug Survey released this information related to the DNM.

Globally almost in 1 in 10 participants (9.3%) reported ever buying drugs off the dark-net with those reporting last year dark-net purchase rising from 4.5% to 6.7%

I expect this trend to continue and as a result the SR1 Philosophy to become less and less prevalent in the pool of buyers. Gone are the days of an online Agora (see what I did there?) filled with people who care. Now it's becoming "think for yourself and trust no-one". There were days when people sent their address info. without PGP, just plaintext. No more.

I liked this part of the post:

Rather than flame junkies and bartards why not ignore them or show them some good advice to follow? Not eveyone needs to be a shallow piece of shit, nevertheless a toddler who cries at every single thing. Thanks.
