Tor exit node

Whenever I launch tor without a bridge I get the same exit node. Even when I opt for a new identity the exit node is the same. Is this normal?

No, that's definitely abnormal and potentially concerning. However, and I hate to have to say this, the most likely explanation is user error. How are you identifying what your exit node is? The best way is to click the TorButton in Tor Browser and look under where it says "Tor circuit for this site." Note that the exit node is the bottom node of that little chart. The top one is your Entry Guard, which indeed does not (and should not) change very much, if at all, as this improves overall anonymity.

I never use Bridges.. Is that actually a big concern?

nope. you should be the one defining your circuit... hope there isn't a way to manipulate that. Perhaps with some special firewalling techniques a tor bridge/relay could force certain circuits.
