Community,
As many are aware, Sigaint has been down recently. The Sigaint folks aren't idiots and are clearly pretty smart and savvy. Its been mentioned that they have been unusually quiet lately on other forums and other places where they might otherwise usually speak.
We have no clue what this might mean but keep these things in mind when the service does come back up.
This also serves as a good time to remind the community about the use of any third party platforms. Remember, what is safe today might not be safe tomorrow - honestly, you never know what is safe today anyway. Be aware of this when communicating sensitive information. PGP wasn't designed only for Darknet markets. PGP should be used anytime sensitive information is communicated to another party. Cleartext of illegal/sensitive information on any third party platform is always a concern. I have a feeling that some people might have been unduly comfortable communicating on Sigaint b/c it wasn't a Darknet market. Many vendors use email platforms to conduct business - always, always use PGP when transmitting anything sensitive.
