normally unless they are going to talk about sensitive info they wont use PGP to reply to you (unless u specifically ask)

Ask them to reply with PGP. Otherwise, they typically will not, unless the info is sensitive.

I think adding PGP to your profile is good form - should a vendor need to communicate something sensitive to you, he can encrypt it and not have to send one message asking for your key, then send the main message.

I've never had a vendor reply back in PGP. But they've never communicating anything sensitive back to me, so not a problem. When I first started, I'd PGP all my communications to them, even non-sensitive shit. LOL, I'm sure that irritated the hell out of those vendors but they never complained. After researching more here, I learned proper form.

Really the only thing that the vendor would need to PGP to you would be a tracking number. Maybe an off market contact. Like /u/galaxyandspace said, they won't reply via PGP unless you ask them. You'll need to provide your public key for them to do it.

One problem with PGP from the vendor is the market won't be able to read his messages if he tries to scam you.

Vendors seem to like quickforgetnotes because they don't use java, and keep things off the server

https://quickforget.com

You set how long they last for before they get "forgotten", and how many times they can be opened and read.

The tracking number isn't usually given out unless there's a problem. Otherwise a drug package i transit can be traced and intercepted.
