How anonymous would bitcoin atm-->mycelium-->transfer to person be?

The atm has no cameras, I would take precautions against such etc. Plan to print on qr code and use that. Not buying crazy amount will probably be below 500 USD, and I am sure no id on the machine regardless of amount.

mycelium would be on a used android phone I bought of ebay that is not my normal phone. I could download onto my phone with home network or public wifi.

The address would be used for this and that is it.

Are you sure it has no cameras? Just because you don't see one blatantly on the machine doesn't mean you're not on camera. It could be hidden subtly somewhere or not even on the machine such as 100' away in clear LOS with a nice optical zoom.

I would bet a lot of coin on that fact that you're be recorded in some way or form at any BTC ATM. And that means you're going to leave a trail in a public blockchain that goes directly from you to a market.

If you're buying at an atm with no id/cameras, and you're paying with cash, you could just transfer the coins straight to your wallet(make a new one if its just for that purchase) and then onto a market or directly to a seller and you would never be associated with it. hell, you can transfer directly to a vendor and youd still be good

If you went on to buy drugs on a DNM with it, it's not anonymous because you give your name and address to the vendor.

Don't worry about anonymously BUYING bitcoin. Its totally legal.

Yes, this works - but also use a bitcoin tumbler afterward.

Go in with a hood and sunglasses and don't look up, just look at your phone. ATM -> Mycelium (split the amounts here, and leave some behind don't transfer everything) -> Electrum -> Bitcoin tumblr -> multiple transaction splits into final wallet -> DNM wallet. Or straight from bitcoin tumblr to DNM wallet. This is more anonymous than most people, and you're not paying obscene amounts over cost on localbitcoins.org. But this is how you would do it, that alone is not enough. And just because you're on camera, doesn't mean you've been identified by name. I also recommend investing in a really good drop, and using a fake name. Forget what vendors say, there's ways around it. Send regular mail with a fake name to a drop to train the postman to get used to that name a that address. Once you see regular mail is readily being deliverd, go ahead and send a package.
