[CommunityDiscussion]UCF Students busted for shipping weed to campus apartment.

There goes the whole ''they won't do anything for an oz or two" crap. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-ucf-student-marijuana-arrest-towers-20150216-story.html

A University of Central Florida student was arrested last week, accused of having more than an ounce of marijuana shipped from California to his on-campus apartment, an arrest affidavit states. According to the affidavit, the Orange County Sheriff's Office tipped off UCF police about the shipment, which was being mailed "in a manner consistent with the shipping of controlled substances." It was addressed to 18-year-old Peter John Faucella's apartment at the on-campus Towers at Knights Plaza. Police checked the package with a drug-sniffing dog, which alerted, the affidavit says.

Police seized the package after Faucella attempted to pick it up from the mail room, the affidavit says. Officers later obtained a search warrant and opened the box to find 47 grams of marijauna.

Faucella was jailed on felony charges of principal to import cannabis into the state and attempted possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis, records show. He has since bonded out.

Wonder where the other 9 grams went.

  1. How did the drug-sniffing dog, give any reaction if the package was mailed "in a manner consistent with the shipping of controlled substances.". Or is it now the manner to send packages without vacuum sealing ?

  2. How did the County Sheriff's Office get access to the private package ? (non-US, I really don't understand this)

Seems more like somebody on the campus has been snitching, not the brightest idea to sell dope on your campus. I understand in the US there is even something like a campus police ?

that's great…. i just got arrested in october for a fucking bowl….. weed should have been legalized in november and my case would have been dropped, now this poor fool( i say fool because he got it shipped to on campus apartment) got fucked because of weed not being legalized too. want to hear an interesting fact? weed needed 60% to pass and we only got 57% and the interesting part is that we had a law pass a few years back that votes like this one needed 60% to pass rather than 50%, it passed with a 57% margin. how fucking stupid is that? only in florida

so should i stop?

ahahahahaha! i remember that kid. came on here asking step by step how to do all this dnm shit, used his main reddit account and doxxed himself right quick iirc as a result of it.

Drugs are too easy to find at UCF, why order them?

[2 Points] None:

I only order personal amounts to my apartment, not at a college or anything. The max I'll ever order is like 10 grams but it would be a collection of weed from different vendors. What are my chances of being caught? The max I'll order from the same vendor in one order is a quarter ounce.

[2 Points] dnmadvocate:

The kid is not convicted. Getting arrested doesnt mean much... Ive been arrest over a dozen times, charges never stick... Get an attorney... SHIIIIIT...

4th amedment will prevent all evidence from being used in court if it even gets to that point... Granted this is RIDICULOUS!

[1 Points] PleaseStopClaire:

Damn, that's a shitty way to find out you got nearly 20 grams extra. I really wish somehow we could know who which vendor it was, there aren't an insane amount in California by any means, or at least there aren't many sending out 47 gram packs.

the telling thing is the "manner consistent with the shipping of controlled substances" and that's the report from OCSD, they then tipped off the UCFPD because it was their jurisdiction, I'd like to know what is that "manner". It's also not advisable to ship to a location wherein one would be on camera to pick up illegal substances. It's difficult for an individual to say that the said package is not theirs when they are picking it up.
