Cryptomarket Harm Reduction Questionnaire

We are looking for vendors to help develop our understanding of the harm reduction capacity of cryptomarkets and perhaps correct some of the mistaken views held in the public about cryptomarkets.

In recent years, cryptomarkets have been the target of many law enforcement interdictions. While these efforts may have disrupted cryptomarket activity, they may have also increased the harm associated with drug use and drug selling. Indeed, these interdictions have disrupted a distribution channel that provides much needed information on the drugs being used and protects the anonymity of drug market participants.

We want you to help improve our understanding of the harm reduction capacity of cryptomarkets by completing an online 15-minute anonymous questionnaire that is available at: http://fopvitnzpm5jl4or.onion. You can also get to the questionnaire through our university's website on the clearnet: http://www.cicc.umontreal.ca/en/survey. The aim of this survey is to assess the impact of the darknet on episodes of drug-related conflict involving vendors. Should you have any concerns about the questionnaire, please do not hesitate to contact us, we would be happy to address them.

Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous. No identifying information will be collected that could be used to match you to your questionnaire results. Results from the questionnaire will be used to improve our understanding of the harm reduction potential of cryptomarkets, and assist in proposing new policies that take the potential benefits of cryptomarkets into account.

The questionnaire is run by Prof. David Décary-Hétu (http://www.daviddh.com/en/david/bio/) from the School of Criminology at the Université de Montréal (Canada) and members of his team, Marie Ouellet, Ph.D. and Claudia Flamand. Prof. Décary-Hétu has published multiple articles on the structure and the mechanics of cryptomarkets and has spoken at conferences like Hackers on Planet Earth (H.O.P.E.) in New York and Hackfest. All results of the research will be shared on the survey website as well as the official website of Prof. David Décary-Hétu.

Thank you for your time, and if you have any questions, or if you are not willing to answer the questionnaire and have feedback for us, please contact Marie by:

[4 Points] subutextual:

Nice. This is an important and overlooked benefit of DNMs. For women particularly, given the physical and sexual dangers associated with in person transactions.
