Well, for one, nearly all software is derivative in some fashion these days. Look at the vast number of Altcoins.

Secondly, SO many of the markets are either BitWasp derived, or CoinPost derived... They have their security flaws when you unbox them, but a competent admin could patch them up pretty tight fairly easily.

Why would any competent admin completely design from scratch when they could save the bulk of work (GUIs, ect.) and just tailor something pre-standing for use on the darknet? Why design your own forum completely from scratch vs. just cleaning up phpBB/SMF? Why re-invent the wheel, if the wheel just needs straightened out a bit.

Thirdly, I dont think anyones claiming TRDM is real competent. I think people were just appreciative that they were sharing what info they had. All they did was read get requests.

What's wrong with bitwasp and python in general? Just because it's simple doesn't mean it's insecure. Python is just like any language it depends on how you use it. I just eye balled up the white papers for bitwisp it doesn't look like it's got anything too bad wrong with it but I'm no expert either
