This is my first post here as I usually hang around rcsources for this sort of info, but the chems in question aren't really relevant at all in this case.
So to get to the point, having a clean house is my number one priority when expecting a pack contaning illegal/semi-illegal products. I have recently moved and am obviously needing a new stash house and think I have the perfect option. A good friend of mine who is totally cool with drugs lives in a duplex behind my apartment so I'm obviously considering stashing them there. However, my concern is that since it is technically part of the same property and we pay the same landlord, could his apartment be searched if by some far off chance a controlled delivery occurs. My hunch is that because it's a separate domicile, they would have to have probable cause to search his place, which wouldn't be warranted by a package addressed to me at my house but remember it's technically the same property. This is in the US by the way.
All in all I feel like this is a good idea, but I would obviously hate to fuck over my friend though if worse came to worse. It may be worth noting that I have ordered from this particular vendor a several times without issue, so I feel the chances of seizure are quite slim.
My apologies if this isn't the best spot for a question like this. Your input is much appreciated.
While IANAL by any means, warrants can vary in scope from an office at work to a single apartment and up to a whole building. Generally speaking, if someone comes to CD you, then there is no reason for them to suspect anyone else on the property. Thats like coming to CD one apartment and just because they have a warrant for one apartment, that doesnt mean its a blanket key to search everyone because they are on the same property.
Now if there is some sort of digital surveillance done on you as well and see the constant texts back and forth as well as observe you bringing goods back and forth, they may do multiple warrants for both places. No matter where your stash spot it, you need to be safe in when you move product and how you communicate about sensitive material.
