i am particularly referring to the chemical scent of adhesive (glue) sprays..
to give some background info... a vendor i regularly order from has always used tape to wrap some kinda bubble wrap around my order (sealed airtight bc its too dank ;) + layer of mylar). so ive always seen a few pieces of tape. but i orderd recently and noticed that the same ends or sides that normally get taped were sprayed with some kinda adhesive instead. what got me concenred was that i could sort of smell the adhesive.. would using an adhesive spray be considered a shipping risk cause of the smell it can leave behind? i would imagine that USPS relies on scents to determine something (besides drugs) as dangerous or hazardous. or maybe the workers might notice the particular scent and set it to the side for inspection or something? or am i just being too paranoid
Uhh... I do think it's a little weird to not use ise the envelopes included adhesive. and maybe some tape.
Detrimental? Probably not but odd almost like it was resealed. Eather maybe it was opened and resealrd ny the PO (unlikely because they'd just tape it) or maybe the vendor had property envelope without the postage cancelled out and had to reseal it.
