Why the fuck do so many people FE?

EDIT: this edit belongs at the top because this is important. If you FE, Good for you, don't boast about it on the review such as "fe for trusted vendor! fe for previous purchases" you can add that you FE'd once you write up a REAL review! , as a matter afact. You don't have to leave a rating and review if you FE. If you decide to FE, don't leave a rating until your product arrived!

A good example of a good review, that wasnt submitted before the Product even arrived:

"Product arrived as advertised, Product lives up to its expections and as advertised, vendor had good communication and is reliable and quick with replying/and shipping the product within 24 hours of ordering, I also FE'd! 5/5

I saw a few posts about this on market reddits a few months ago, not on /r/darknetmarkets I want to address this again for the sake of the community..

Next time I see somebody type in a review saying "FE will update!" I will break my fucking computer!! Here are the reasons why, along with things wrong with this in general!

edit2: I realize that some people FE for the discounts on vendors who they have experience with. Consider this thread a discussion. Dont feel you have to comment about my post, I'm open to debates. But I'll leave that to you. Some people here have good arguments. But that doesn't change the fact that some of the worst vendors have average of like 4.8 ratings out of 5.

I FE because I view it as an acceptable risk. I only use the same 2-3 vendors and they are FE only and I have a long history with all of them. Possibly one day they will exit scam and I will be out a bit of cash, but you only spend what you are willing to lose. The flipside is that you use escrow and then the market goes down, now the vendor loses money because they shipped your product and won't get their money.

I agree 100% you should not FE for unknown vendors or leave feedback before you receive an order, but to not FE ever would cut you off from a lot of really great vendors.

I think the bigger problem is the rating not the fact that you FE'd. 9 out of 10 times I FE as soon as my order is marked shipped. I do it so that the person I'm dealing with can have their money. Now I can sense you all thinking I'm stupid. So be it. I think letting other peoples actions affect your mood/emotions is stupid but I wouldn't call you stupid for whatever you type off into neverland. I only use AB and 9 out of 10 times I use very well trusted vendors and once I have a successful transaction I stick with that vendor. At least until he says a bunch of dumb shit on the internet and vanishes into "retirement". I'd rather the vendor has it than a bunch of russian criminals. If the market exit scams whith my money it's certain I won't get the money and neither will the vendor, I may or may not get the order depending on the alignment of the universe. If I FE'd there's a pretty good chance I'll get the order and if the vendor doesn't get the money it's on him. Most vendors have issues with customers not finalizing at all so they have to wait fourteen days to get the money. Also I've seen bitcoin go from over $400 to under $200 USD in a few hours. Either of those situations has to be very frustrating to the vendor. You don't have to leave a 5/5 rating to FE. You don't have to leave any rating ever if you don't want to. Then after I get the order and if everything has gone well I leave honest feedback. All but once it was 5/5. The other time I got the vendors address from minerva and firebombed his house. I REALLY hope it was the right house.

That's why this motherfucker FE's. I'd rather diect deal if I can. I'm not interested in multi-sig. Sure it sounds great but it's just more people involved in your purchase. I don't want to buy drugs from people that don't steal my money because the market won't let them. I only wanna buy drugs from people that just want to sell me drugs. People with pride in the quality of their wares, their ability, prices and service. Of course quality and stealth are the only deal makers or breakers. Fast freindly service is nice though. Pay the money get the drugs. Pretty simple really. Don't buy from people that have to be coerced into not stealing your money.

[4 Points] speedfleek:

I trust my drug dealer more than I trust an intermediary. I spend a lot more than one coin at a time.

[3 Points] None:

I have finalized early before but I always wait until I get the product to give them a rating. Had to do that for FelixUk. He ended up with a 5/5 anyway

[3 Points] gantzu3:

I don't know, but I'm never doing it again after getting scammed a few times now this way. I don't care what trust level a vendor has or how good of feedback they have, you just never know when someone is going to start selective scamming or pull an exit scam.

[2 Points] Theeconomist1:

I 100% agree with you on the FE will Uodate reviews. Fucking obnoxious and you are without a doubt right.

But FE'ing isnt as cut and dry. One thing we should all remember - unless you are doing multi sig escrow, a buyer is parting with their money upon purchase. With a central escrow, they are trusting the market to not run away with their funds. FE for a vendor, they are trusting the vendor. There is still an element of trust and risk no matter what with central escrow.

FE is a risk I'm sometimes willing to accept. I don't do it for the discount usually Bc the discount isn't huge usually. I do it Bc it's a risk I'm willing to accept. Some vendors I use are FE only. Some vendors use escrow but I've had long history with the vendor and I'll FE. My purchases aren't terribly small either. Always over 1BTC. My FE orders have ranged from $300 up to $1200 or so. Again, I'm not saying anyone should FE. It's a risk I'm willing to accept and I won't cry if I lose coin Bc I fe. Yes I might get scammed. I've been scammed once by a vendor. I've been scammed some amount with each market exit scam - Evo, blackbank, etc. Evo I lost pocket change sitting in my wallet. Blackbank I had an order I had just placed and lost $750. Bad timing. StimGuy was only time a vendor had scammed me. It was a small loss - under $400. But markets have been more problematic for me than any single vendor.

BUT I am selective with my vendors. Not like I'm FEing for some random vendor.

[2 Points] questofmanyflavours:

I think FE is fine, its a choice for the customer, reality is that once an item goes in the post neither the vender nor the buyer has any control over it, the vender has the choice of offering the customer what is in effect postage insurance or the buyer has the choice of saving on the insurance and taking the risk himself. For a buyer with a trusted vender who lives in a country with lax customs I think the customer should have that choice. I would choose that option myself under those circumstances.

of course leaving feedback before you get the product is stupid.

also, as a vender, I come across very few scammers here, but have lost thousands in escrow to the markets, so market exits are a venders biggest risk, and the money lost in those exits is passed on to the buyers

so escrow is great but its not free, it should be a customers choice weather to pay for it or not

[2 Points] abrakazan:

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD & EVERYTHING HOLY. Please do not ever in your life ever leave feedback that says "FE 5/5 will update", you are a colossal faggot if you do this.

[2 Points] angrygothboy:

Because all of the people who FE are mentally retarded and want to be scammed. Most vendors will selectively scam large orders in between small orders since $20 and a $1000 order have the same feedback weight. But some of the idiots replying to your thread are Fucking Morons when they FE And Immediately Leave Positive Feedback. All of you people who review without/before getting your product have Shit For Brains!!! Wake up people!!!! It's you who keep the scammers alive!!! Some of you commenters below I'm sure are a few shill ass scamming vendors. Can you read, you stupid fucks!!!???? A product review is a product review. Can you Review a movie without watching it? Of course not!! ... Dumb Fucks!! Wake up people!

[1 Points] magicthrowaway12312:

I don't get it either, because they can demand it I guess

I don't do it

[1 Points] UKmeth:

I used an FE only vendor recently on a 1300$ order. Didn't touch the review section until it arrived, the next day and top quality, no regrets. Maybe my next order will result in one smashed computer and me sitting happily with a pile of drugs.

[1 Points] berneraccount:

I have literally only ever FE'd, the one fucking time I deposited into a market I got phished anyways so I only do deals off the markets, hell 3/4 of the vendors I deal with aren't even on the markets or are FE only anyways. You just have to have enough brain cells to decide on a trustworthy vendor to buy from.

[1 Points] Intothekhole:

If I respect and trust the vendor why would I let the escrow hold onto the coins to potentially lose value

[1 Points] tfmeads:

I FE for small amounts to get the discount. If I ever buy in bulk I'll probably try escrow.

[1 Points] Vinnie_Barbarino:

Really I think you should FE Vlci and then smash your computer. Probably very liberating. Then you'll have nothing but hope left. Imagine how your love of mankind will be if , by a miracle from God, something shows up.

Or just kiss the bitcoin goodbye and start going to the library more often. Liberating either way, just take a deep breath.

[1 Points] None:

I only deal with one vendor and he is known for being trustworthy and is a OG vendor.

[1 Points] mymainistraceable1:

I FE because i never order very large quantities. Why wouldn't you FE a 30-50$ order? I mean sure, i could lose that money, but i can afford to honestly. Really, i think i'd just look like a dick if i escrowed a 30$ order. Thats a couple of beers in a nice pub worth of money. I don't want the vendor to feel like i don't trust him with what is basically pocket change in this business.

Also, GG requires FE, and i have absolutely no preoblems finalizing early with him.

[1 Points] brokenfallacy15:

I'll tell you why I did it for my first order. I was in a rush and needed to get some Domestic supply quickly. There weren't a lot of options. My line of thinking was that this whole drug business is largely built on trust. Of course in the real world when things go wrong they often are enforced with violence. In the Internet world someone just walks away with your money.

Would still FE in the future for the right deal and with a vendor of solid reputation. The one I partial-FEd with didn't have that. I just needed the product. I didn't get it. Should have paid more for the reliable vendor and been happier.

[1 Points] loveisrealnfa:

Maybe they think the vendor will ship faster, and also give preferential treatment

[1 Points] abrakazan:

I think most people FE because they think it's gonna get them in some "bff" type relationship with the vendor who's got the drugs they want, and they think if they FE they'll get in good and get faster shipping/more extras/a message from the vendor confessing their undying love? I don't know.

BUT for those reading that believe that crock, let me make it clear that this is NOT the case. Instead what you are doing is risking your funds for absolutely no reason. Escrow every single time. And if you can multi-sig. And if you can't. Learn.

[1 Points] trappy_AB:

if you have any sort of authority and ask someone to do something they will usually do it

[1 Points] giogomezbeats:

I've been saying this!!!

[1 Points] Uruguayman:

If comments were really updated, there would be problems.

[1 Points] PyroManiacxx:

i make a purchase for a product with escrow, vendor msgs me saying to FE or he wont ship. I ask for partial escrow payment since i have been scammed before, he said no sorry and stops replying to me.

[1 Points] Hansbald:

I FE with vendors I had lots of previous transactions with, they earned my trust, they can cash out the btc quicker in case of fluctuation and I already know the quality of the product, I never saw a FE Will Update review tbh

And fyi most bulk deals are done directly and without Escrow/A Market

[1 Points] woeisthisguy:

I never see people FE while spending 1+ bitcoin..

GTFOH!

[1 Points] Frank769:

IDK wtf FE is but I've seen people here type shit like 5/5 or 4/5 quality by just looking at the product XD

[1 Points] sound_effect1999:

I FE for TOH because every order has been perfect and I feel like if there was ever an issue they'd make good on it. And if not I'll take the hit and move on and let karma catch up eventually.

[1 Points] Bud509:

If people want to finalize early that's on them so I don't care what they do, but I totally agree about the "FE will update" reviews. It pisses me off to see those for all the reasons you already mentioned. I'll FE sometimes for vendors I trust and if a vendor requires FE I'll do it after reading lots of reviews for the vendor. I'm always very cautious about finalizing early since I've seen so many exit scams. If I feel like anythings "off" about the sale I won't order. I always trust my intuition when it comes to finalizing early and I've avoided many exit scams from doing so.

[1 Points] hillarys_yoni:

Maybe they have a fetish involving leaving people in suspense?

[1 Points] None:

He could ship you a fucking banana

Yea, you're right. I don't even like bananas. Way too filling, especially for a "snack".

(You are spot on with this FE bullshit, but buyers should also release escrow as soon as a pack lands and they've tried out the goods).

[1 Points] Knindza:

What does FE mean?

[1 Points] Roccovalentino:

Is it acceptable to leave a 1 star rating and write "FE VENDOR WILL UPDATE"

[0 Points] None:

omg this question wasnt posted 50 time already thanks for posting it again
