Great excerpt type post on regards to the Agora marketplace as a whole.

"Every market has had these issues. SR, BMR, SR2. I love how people are up in arms about investing money in the site and its infrastructure. Like these guys can call IBM Business Solutions and have a team come update the rack servers. This is a pirate operation folks, not Walmart. I think they've done a damn good job with the huge increases in traffice they've experienced in the last months. Sure other sites might be faster and easier now. Let's see how they do when they get this busy. Cloud 9 is AWESOME but there are more listings in one subcategory on Agora then they have on the entire Cloud 9 market. I'm sure user numbers follow the same ratio. Have patience and understanding. Remember when you had to meet someone in real life and wait till they had your drugs in stock then go buy them. You never had to wait 2 days? Keep perspective people."

I love it the first line I clicked on Reddit today was my post. Nice to know someone is reading what I put out there. So nice I finally joined reddit so I can post here instead of just reading everything :)

That's what I've tried to say as well. People seem to expect a business with a small amount of customers to have the same problems and issues as a business with a huge number of customers. Sometimes the success and popularity of a market can lead to it having more problems than a smaller one, which is why many people prefer a smaller "mom and pop" store with the advantages that come with it. But they ignore the advantages that come with the market being a larger more popular one.

Agora holds shop to house. I love agora and house equally! So no reason for me to go anywhere else... Except for houses market when it opens up

Agora can play the 'perspective' card as much as it wants. It won't, unfortunately, do anything to alleviate any of the site's myriad issues, and with serious and seriously good competition, it's not hard to see how it's on the wrong side of the bell curve. Like it or not, the window of opportunity for Agora is right fucking now. It either sorts itself out, or we get to witness the same tired shit of a few months of people valiantly defending them before it gets forgotten.

This is all irrelevant, though. All because OTHER sites went down doesn't make it okay that agora does. Their downtime isn't even my biggest complaint with them - the worst offender is the fucking TERRIBLE site interface. It's awful.

Honestly, I refuse to use Agora at this point, because there's 5+ other markets that work better. Fuck that.
