"The FBI will aggressively crack down on cyber crime over the next few weeks"

DNM Related or something else?

The Federal Bureau of Investigation will aggressively crack down on cyber crime over the next few weeks, with a bureau official advising the public to anticipate indictments, searches, and multiple arrests.

Robert Anderson Jr. told the Reuters Cybersecurity Summit in Washington on Wednesday that the bureau has revamped its focus on cyber crime and will show a "much more offensive side" to its enforcement efforts soon.

In explaining recent examples of the bureau’s cyber enforcement, Anderson mentioned the case of Dmitry Belorossov, a Russian hacker accused of operating a botnet that targeted an estimated 7,000 Americans. Belorossov was arrested at a Spanish airport and, after an extradition battle between the US and Russia, ordered to stand trial in the US.

Unless you're doing some serious shit here in these neck of the woods I wouldn't worry too much. You should always be thinking about your security though. Don't slack on that shit. The second you start slipping is the second shit starts to go south.

This operation sounds more like it is targeting hackers and carders. It probably wouldn't affect markets that do not have any of those affiliations.

Quaking in my boots here. really am, honest

Probably carders mainly, there's a lot of political pressure (from the banks, same thing) to combat that, much less interest in DNM.

Hell, a lot of carding stuff is right out in the clearnet, and we KNOW they are going for the easiest, biggest fish they can get.

It's been almost a year since the SR1 server was compromised. Investigations of this sort generally take at least a year. I think we're going to start to see SR1 vendors go down, especially the ones who kept vending under the same name after the shutdown.

I highly doubt it is going to be related to DNM. It will probably be things related to "cyberterrorism" since the FBI really really cares about things that "potentially threaten national security."
