I have never had drugs before. Not a single one.
I'm thinking about buying Boomer's Indica Cannabis Fudge. Since this is my first time with drugs, I decided to go with indica over sativa as it's got a milder high. I'm also going to have 1/6 at a time instead of 1/3 as it's my first time. But I have a few questions...
1) Is cannabis fudge a good thing for a first drug?
2) Does it smell? This will be domestic but I still want to reduce risk.
3) How long does the high last?
4) What are the dangers of this? I found very little about this online, so if anyone knows please let me know.
5) And finally, if I have 1/6 as opposed to 1/3, will my high be shorter and milder? I actually want it to be short-ish and not too strong, as I'm living with my parents and if I have a 3-hour long, very strong high... well, you know what could happen.
Please answer whatever you can :-)
I would definitely say "no." Weed edibles are really hard to dose precisely, and even the same dose with the same person can vary a lot in its effects based on what you've been eating, what your physical activity has been like, your tolerance, etc. And when you eat too much weed food, it can be really damn overwhelming and sometimes pretty unpleasant/anxious (although a lot of people just fall asleep if it's really too much).
In my honest opinion, if you're looking to try being high, I would very strongly recommend smoking or vaporizing it for your first couple of experiences. You have much better control of the dose, and the effects are just generally more enjoyable for most people, and way shorter-lived. Make sure to wait a good 10 or 15 minutes after each hit if you're not trying to get "really" high - it can take a while to come on. Also, a lot of people don't get high at all the first time they smoke (I'm not sure about with edibles, but it may be the same deal).
For fudge? Probably not significantly, but it's possible that a discerning nose could pick it up.
For buds though? Yes, especially if it's good. But if you use a good vendor who uses good stealth (MBB is a must if you care about smell), then there's little to worry about there.
Getting stoned on edibles is pretty much always going to last way longer than the 3 hours you mention, I'm afraid to say. Even at a low dose. Plan for at least 6 hours of being pretty out of it, and possibly as much as double that. Seriously, no exaggeration. Smoking it though, if you're moderate with it, you should be pretty much okay after 3 hours, though probably a bit groggy.
There isn't really much "danger," per se, but sometimes people who eat too much weed food have pretty bad panic attacks and think that they're dying or that their heart is giving out. Those people are always wrong, it's worth pointing out, but the experience can be a scary one. A lot of hospitals in areas where it's been recently legalized deal with a lot of people who ate too much weed food and think they're having a heart attack, and/or just generally panicked. I think they get hydrating fluids and a gentle kick out the door after they come down.
At high doses weed edibles can also make you outright hallucinate, but it's not super common and it's not as strong as with stuff like LSD or shrooms. Weed also seems to cause aural (sound) hallucinations more than other hallucinogens, often more than visual hallucinations. These are almost always pretty pleasant.
At more conventional or modest doses, real hallucinations are pretty unlikely, especially if you're just smoking a hit or two.
Yes, definitely. But it's still going to be pretty lengthy, as I mentioned.
