When using BTC, what is stopping me from taking $200k out of the country without anyone knowing?

Ive never verified myself, but the guy I buy coin from was telling me about someone that got arrested doing just that. apparently he had one of those physical bitcoin wallet things, and a TSA agent asked what it was, and the guy gave some sketchy response. eventually, he explained what it was, and somehow (either he allowed them, or something) they were able ot determine the amount of money in BTC he had on the device. since it's a crime to do carry more than $10,000 USD (and I guess he had more than that value in BTC) without declaring the guy got in some amount of trouble.
I've never looked the story up myself, so maybe there's more to it, but interesting nonetheless.

Nothing what so ever . Either have it in a wallet on your phone , on a USB or for ultra surity , why not upload it to a drop box account , then download at the other end .

Nothing at all.

Just put it in an electrum wallet, memorize the passphrase, and securely delete anything related to bitcoin from any electronics you're carrying with you in case they search/clone them. Then recreate the wallet once inside another country.

Stupidity.
Some airports search and copy your phone or laptop if you are on a "list". This happened to me when I flew from the Netherlands to Hong Kong. I am not sure on what list I am, but I am definitely on a more narrowed down list because I refused to give them access to my encrypted phone and laptop. Considering I was about 16K EUR over the legal limit to carry with me (in BTC) that would have caused me a whole lot of trouble.
Nothing lol
