Coinbase takes literal hours to transfer BTC. Anyone else experiencing this?

I can purchase BTC from CB instantly, but transferring it to another wallet takes hours. it used to be instant, but the for the last few weeks I've had to wait a long fucking time to get them transferred.

does anyone else have this issue?

what better ways are there to instantly buy BTC? I don't want to have to wait 7 fucking days for the BTC to come into my account (looking at you, gemini.)

I rememeber my first time buying bitcoin.

Yeah, CB allows you to buy instantly because they hold large amounts of bitcoin that they probably bought for $tree.50. Its very similar to how a bank has cash on reserve for withdraws.

As for the transfer, there's been a lot of articles, posts, and comments about the extended time it's taking for confirmations to happen on the bitcoin network because of the increased volume of btc being traded. However, I think things are speeding up now.

Someone mentioned there were only 1200 unconfirmed tx in mempool.

cex is decent and cheap. just annoying all the info they kinda want but if you are using to buy personal amounts its not bad.
