Publishing the new wiki for the noobs sub

Hello community,

During the past weeks I have been working on rewriting the wiki of /r/DarknetMarketsNoobs. The current sidebar and wiki of the noobs sub is not very structured since the many diffrent [and sometimes redundant] guides are just too broadly and not really match the questions of a new DNM user.

In an attempt to combine all these many different guides/links and answer many of the questions that get asked daily, I created a new big guide which aims to show users how to securely and safely buy from DNMs. It not only describes how to install and use Tails but also many useful tips and tricks for using DNMs and choosing a vendor as well as many other topics.

So now that the basic version is finished, I want to ask you to have a look at it and check if you have anything to add or correct. Since it is a bit longer you can just pick a few chapters that you know much about [e.g. how to be a good buyer or tips for using the DNMs] and see if you can help improving it.

It is currently called the "Buyers Testament" of the "Darknetmarkets Bible" since aims to promote good OpSec paractices and covers all the aspects of buying that a DNM users needs to know. However that name is not carved into stone, so feel free to add suggestions in the comments if you have some.

Last but not least I want to thank the many users that made this guide possible and helped improving it. Seraphim for example wrote texts for several chapters and users like torr0t and ziz1 wrote many useful guides that were included in the DNM bible. For a full list of these users please see the "About" page.

After I got some feedback/corrections/input in this post, it will be listed on the sidebar of /r/DarknetMarketsNoobs so the new users can profit from it and a lot of the reptitive questions can be removed because they are already answered in the DNM bible.

There will also be a "Vendor Testament" in the future. However it will not be as elaborate as the buyer's one but rather a resource for many tips and tricks that vendors should be aware of. /u/DooshNozzzle [who by the way is a massive help in the noobs sub] for example has offered to help with that guide. So if others want to help during the creation of the "Vendor Testament" feel free to chime in.

What is the future of /r/DarknetMarketsNoobs?

In the past there many scammers who for example told users to send btc for help or just insulted users instead of helping them. This will not be the case in the future since with the relentless help of many awesome users the vast majority of questions now gets answered and with new mods getting added soon [/u/trynakick was the first one and more will follow], the sub will be pleasently to browse for users seeking advice as well as the users helping them.

I hope that some of you will find a few minutes once in a while to check out the new posts on the sub and see if they can answer a question or two.

/u/DooshNozzzle - You have been summoned in the thread /r/DarkNetMarkets/comments/5vl66t/publishing_the_new_wiki_for_the_noobs_sub/ by /u/wombat2combat.

This convenience is brought to you by AutoMod. Submissions do not automatically summon users like comments do. AutoMod is trying to be helpful.

For others, it should no longer be necessary to summon the referenced user in a comment any more. AutoMod has done the heavy lifting for you. You're welcome. Bow before me.

Some notes/thoughts

But let's look at it this way: browsing DNM related subreddits and guides, like this one, without protection is like sending a letter to your ISP that says something like "Hey I am informing myself about how to buy drugs online, post reviews about the ones I already bought and help others to do the same".

100% False. For reddit your ISP will only see a HTTPS connection to reddit.com, which is currently the #7th most popular site in the US, and the #22 most popular in the world (Alexa rankings). Browsing these subreddits normally should be discouraged as very few people ever clear their browsing history but this section is false.

2.A.2 Installing Tails

Really big fan of this part, too many guides try to walk through installing TAILS when they have a much more detailed and complete guide available.

Important tips regarding Bitcoin

Missing a ) on the table of contents link here.

Sending bitcoins

With the described process it you can claim that someone else sent the coins to a DNM and the exchange will most likely not ban your account because you did not sent them directly to a DNM.

I have never seen an exchange give the option to dispute their claims, normally you just get an email saying your account is closed without giving you any information or a way to dispute it.

This is a very useful resource that you should really read before continuing with the other chapters: http://pastebin.com/Hxv48hwk

You should rehost this on the wiki, anyone using Tor will get hit by the cloudflare captcha on pastebin and have to enable javascript to complete it (took me almost a minute because of how slow it was loading)

Overall I think this is a really great and detailed guide. You have clearly put a great deal of time into researching and writing it and it shows.
