Tails can't upgrade

Tails says it can't upgrade because of not enough space. I have more than 20 gigs free on my usb, what's the problem??

A Tails USB with persistence has two partitions on it.

The first is the Tails OS / Boot partition and it is 2.6GB.

The second is the persistent partition and it takes up the rest of the free space on the USB.

If you have been doing automatic updates for a number of Tails releases, it can eventually fill up the space on the first partition with the incremental upgrade files.

You will need to do a manual upgrade at this point:

i believe it's refering to RAM. you need more than 1GB of RAM for it to be able to auto-upgrade. 1GB is the bare minimum for tails to function moderately on a system.
