For all your IRL mobile app needs please check out F-Droid it's a collection of open source android apps including some paid ones on google play for free (Conversations.im)! Most people already know this but start using encrypted messaging for everything, unfortunately Signal is not yet available on f-droid but it's texting only fork (the way signal use to be) Silence is.
Signal should always be your first choice as court documents show they are extremely privacy minded in their data handling and keep almost no logs. Silence is great to round out your mobile messaging because not everybody has data, the downside being your carrier will have you're messages albeit in an encrypted form. Silence uses the same axolotl protocol as Signal and all keys are stored locally.
Make sure to check out the IMSI-catcher detectors if stingrays are a threat in your area. Be sure to enable the Guardian Project repo in the settings as they have LOTS of good stuff, including ObscuraCam, an extremely useful app for blurring objects and stripping meta data from videos and pictures.

Hi! I have a question about security. I opened a ticket with AB, and they are claiming my account was phished or hacked, but I don't understand how they arrived at this conclusion. Maybe safety and security Saturday can help?
I transferred some money to my AB account the other day. I already had some money in there. The Bitcoin deposited correctly into my AB wallet. I logged out. Today, I log in and my AB wallet's balance is back to what it was before (not zero). There are no unauthorized orders on my account. Any idea what could have happened? It's a shame that AB only shows the withdrawal history for the last 12 hours, so I can't see if someone logged in and made a withdrawal.
Any help would be appreciated! Losing money sucks enough as it is, but not knowing what happened or how to avoid it again really sucks. Thanks!
