Lets have a chat about Dash & Bitcoin. (payment methods accepted on the markets)

Hey guys

Im sure you have seen on Abraxas and Nucleus Markets they dont just accept Bitcoin as payment method. They also accept DASH. Dash is a crypto currency similar to Bitcoin but with some significant advantages when using it on the markets.

Im not bagging bitcoin. Bitcoin is great. But I personally think Dash is a far safer coin to use on the dark net markets, for customers and vendors. Bitcoin has got us this far in the darknet scene but anyone that knows a bit about BTC realizes its hard to stay anonymous. Look at these new sites emerging to analysise the block chain. eg. blockseer.com etc. bit coin is expensive and risky to mix (tumble) and if your a vendor you have to tumble your coins, to stay safe.

Dash has a built in feature called Darksend. Its an internal coin mixer. Im sure a few of you have used 3rd party Bitcoin mixers eg. BTC Fog and helix etc. The problem with these coin tumblers is you have to trust the person running the tumbler. As BTC Fog has shown these guys cannot be trusted. ( they steal coins all the time ) Darksend allows you to 'mix'/ tumble your own coins with NO chance of being ripped off. Its built into dash at protocol level.

Another awesome thing with DASH is the transfers are so much faster than BTC. Im sure you have transferred BTC to a market and some times it can take 1 hr + for the coins to show in your market wallet. DASH confirmation a a lot faster. when i have transferred DASH to the DNM's they take less than 10 minutes to show up.

Also something else to note. If enough people start using DASH on these markets the market admins might implement another DASH feature. Its called 'Instant X'. InstantX makes transactions confirm with in seconds. ( instant irreversible transactions.) This could mean if implemented into the DMN markets when you transfer coins to a market they could be spendable on the site within 0-3 seconds !! no waiting for confirmations.

I think DASH is a lot safer that Bitcoin for vendors and customers using darknet markets. The only reason why everyone is not using it yet is lots of people dont know about it, and everyone is used to bitcoin. When a few big vendors start to ask for DASH rather than BTC, customers will catch on.

The current problem with dash is you have to buy BTC and then convert to DASH. or if your a vendor you have to convert the DASH to btc and then cash out. When someone makes a localdashcoins.com or other services that people can trade cash directly for dash I think we will see a lot more people using it for dark net transactions.

Its currently very simple to trade BTC for dash or DASH to BTC now via shapeshift.io or other exchanges like Cryptsy and Poloniex and heaps more.

I dont think bitcoin will be replaced anytime soon in the darknet, but im sure you have noticed bitcoin is getting noticed by banks and other big ' legitimate ' company's and investors. Bitcoin is here to stay and i think it will be worth far more than what it is worth right now. But i think Bitcoin it going mainstream/ going more 'legit'. I think there is better coins to use on the darknet markets. eg Dash.

These markets have not added this coin for the hell of it they have added it because they realize the value this coin can bring to the table. If your a vendor reading this seriously check dash out! the more people that start to use it the easier it will be to deal with.

Dash is user friendly cheaper and keeps getting faster. Bitcoin is like Nokia or Windows 10 years ago. Sure it is dominant now, but they're not changing and competition is moving up fast.

Bitcoin is like an iceberg, with a legitimate 10% visible above the waterline. It can be traded thanks to chumps who don't believe people buy drugs with it.

It seems completely accepted in this subreddit that bitcoinfog "steals coins all the time". But if you google it, you won't see any similar claims anywhere else. Not even reddit/bitcoin.

I use it and never have any problems. Its reputation was so good that it's recommendation made Agora marketplace.

If Agora exit scammed it could have seriously damaged BTCfog's reputation. The fact that it didn't makes the tumbler's reputation about as untouchable as you can get. That must be killing other tumbling services.

I think bitcoinfog would take everybody's money for 3 days. It only seems to scam half a bitcoin every Friday from throwaway accounts on this sub. And undisclosed moderators here.

A lot altcoins claim to be more secure/private due to some small changes on their design; but I think we should be rather skeptical about these claims. Have their actually prove better for the real world under some serious study and not just the promoting paper they wrote themselves?

In the case of Dash (last time I check, when it was still called Darkcoin), all their improvement could just be added into some bitcoin client without making any fork or change to the protocol and getting the same result (well, in case it imply any result); there was even a bitcoin client project adding them called darkwallet. The fact that it was possible to add this "advantages" to bitcoin, but it was decided to make a new altcoin instead, makes me suspect than "privacy" was not their first aim when designing dash....

r/joinmarket

JoinMarket is a marketplace for connecting people wishing to do CoinJoins with the Bitcoin currency. Market makers can earn fees while ordinary users can improve their privacy.

See the order book at joinmarket.io

If you're good with a command line check it out.

They're working on a GUI and hopefully it will be available soon.

Technologically, Monero (XMR) is much better.

=> Monero is totally decentralized. You don't need any masternodes. Like Bitcoin, Monero needs regular nodes only.

=> Monero requires no mixing service to work. It sends transactions instantly because mixing is built into protocol which is built on top of a much more superior technology.

DASH is just a half-backed cryptocurrency.

Jumblr: first ever fully decentralized bitcoin mixer. Only 0.1% fee.

Successful decentralized mixes of bitcoins and altcoins have already been achieved via command line during testing.

Looks promising, but still in beta.

Dash sucks, it takes DAYS to mix.

Since DASH IS DARKCOIN REBRANDED I would avoid it, additionally their network can be ruined by a single angry programmer so you should avoid it even more. I was in that thread with the angry guy that was attacking their network on their darkcointalk forum and they offered him no bounties or anything to learn how to better defend against those attacks.
