[Vendor Review] Crazy-Eights Direct Deal Warning

During the DDOS attacks on agora, A bulk order from Crazy-Eights was attempted. 4.118btc. Their feedback is 500-1000 deals with 4.99 rating. Seems legit. Ive dealt with them before and saw extremely fast shipping and great stealth. I pgp on agora asking for direct contact info, which turns out to be the same email that is embedded in their key. They gets back to me with a total and tells me to be sure I send the coins by that tues morning. It was a Saturday.

Tues morning comes and I hadnt sent the coins. I email asking if its still ok to send coins, and to give me an updated address if needed. I get an email back a few hours later saying yes, giving me a total, and send coins if I want to move fwd. I send coins maybe 4 hours after that email was sent.

The next day I get a message from them asking what address I sent coins to, that the coins didnt land. I copy/paste the address. Double checked it, its the right one. I send them the address I sent coins to and they get back to me saying thank you, they found the address, what happened was the grams wallet closed before they were able to withdraw the coins due to the wallet only being open for 8 hours at a time (which they did not mention an 8 hour time limit in any emails), but that the coins are "safe in cold storage with grams". That they were in contact with GramSupport and that grams would be sending them the coins "within hours", and they would let me know when shipped.

The next day I ask for an update, if they got the coins from grams. They c/p an email supposedly from GramsSupport saying that because of how many coins it was, GramsSupport would need to get with GramsAdmin to get permission to send the coins. At this point im getting suspicious, all that I need to know is when my pack is getting sent, and if the coins are "safe in cold storage" why not just send the pack now?

A day or two later Im checking blockchain on the address I sent coins to and coins are moving in and out. So it seems C8 got the coins. I send an email, no reply. So I contact both GramsSupport and GramsAdmin asking if this conversation between them and crazy-eights ever happened, and if they were aware of an issue with the address I sent coins to, and if they indeed did sent 4.118btc from cold storage to someone recently. GramsAdmin gets back to me saying that address was never associated with grams, and if someone told me to send coins to that address, they were trying to steal coins from me.

At this point it had been 4 days since C8 told me the issue would be resolved "within hours". zero communication in those 4 days.

I send a message on agora asking why they stopped responding to emails, I pgp c/p the GramsAdmin email where they tell me the address was never associated with grams and that someone is trying to steal my coins, and then in clear txt on agora ask crazy-eights to please explain this. what I get back is a very emotional response with no ship info, erroneously saying that I accused them of stealing. I was clearly asking them to explain GramsAdmins words, not personally accusing them of anything. They told me I "best follow the money trail before accusing my vendor of anything" which is exactly what I did by contacting GramsAdmin. They said that I caused a problem with their "money man on grams", which I was just following the trail... I feel emotions have no place in this, all thats important is when will you ship....not why or how or what...just when... Either there is a language barrier, they didnt pay attention to my email, or they are dodging the main issue here on purpose... But its been 2 weeks since that message. Nothing since. No word on if they are ever going to ship. No pack arriving. No refund. 4.118 btc gone. I cant help but feel scammed. At best, this is bad business.

I dont want to accuse a vendor of such high standing and feedback of stealing, but what exactly is this?? Maybe the pack arrives one day out of nowhere, who knows?

I urge you all to be very careful when FEing or dealing direct. Even when they have 500-1000 deals and 4.99 feedback. I dont really see what I couldve done differently here to get my pack. At 2 weeks out on a 3 day ship vendor, with no further communication or pack, I dont think im going to see this pack. I sent the requested amt of coins to the address they gave me, within hours of them giving it to me. I feel anything that happens after that, other than me getting a ship date and a pack arriving is irrelevant and highly suspicious of a scam, yet this vendor is one of the highest regarded vendors on DNM. Idk.... Avoid dealing direct with this vendor.

Holy shit!!! You just saved me from ordering 60 pills direct deal, I'm sorry to hear this and thank you from saving me

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation. You're absolutely right though, you can't trust vendors regardless of their feedback or how many previous positive transactions you've had with them. It absolutely baffles me when I see people on here saying that direct dealing is the way of the future because it seems as though most vendors exit scam eventually and it's only a matter of time before you get burned. There are literally only a couple vendors I'm comfortable doing direct deals with (and never for a large amount). I'd much rather trust Agora to not exit scam with my escrow money than trust a vendor to not run off with coins from a direct deal.

Chalk it up as a lesson learned and move on. Many of us get scammed at some point and it's the fucking worst when it happens to you but don't lose your hope in the DNMs just because of one asshole vendor.

Sorry to hear that. So far I only had good experience with this vendor before and they always seemed to be trustworthy...even became feat. vendor at the hub if I remember correctly. But I guess that makes it even worse.

Assuming there really was an error, at least they should have kept up communication and try to resolve the issue.

This is surprising to me as well, as I have had many successful transactions with C8 on Agora, all FE.

Sorry to ear that but fuck C8. They have been sketchy as fuck from the SR1 days. I tried to make a bulk order one time and they were like since there is a military base within 100 miles of your drop we need you to FE. I just canceled my order. This was like two years ago when NO ONE FE'd. But yea fuck C8
