safetyfirsttest is NOT a scammer

I made a report about him, calling him a scammer, and left awful feedback because my package was taking over a week and he wouldn't respond to my messages.

Well, I went to the PO today and I got a package. I immediately felt like shit.

As soon as I got back home, I sent him a message apologizing about the whole thing. He explained that he's a single parent working a 9 to 5 job and that he's too busy to reply to messages.

If you did order from him and it's taking a while, it's not safety, it's the postal system. You'll get your package from him I promise.

He says he just likes to help people, and after talking to him, I believe he really does.

Oh, and his weed's really good.

Glad it got sorted.

Does bring up a point though, and it's bit of a pet hate of mine - the use of the word 'scammer'. Honestly, I think the word in the title should trigger the filter and require mod approval (you can see them now going 'you have got to be fucking kidding). It's a word used too loosely to describe a problem with a vendor, when actual scams are reasonably rare. And it's quite final - scammer means the end of the road, the judgement has been made by some arbitrary stranger on the internet, no more problem solving, everyone needs to avoid. The help just stops and it becomes a 'yes they are/no they aren't' conversation without reaching a solution. It's a rare thing that anyone actually benefits from the accusation.

Just need to see better use of the 'Vendor Issue' tag tbh.

yep safetyfirstest is a good vendor.

Yes, this is very noble of you to admit your fault. The longer I read the forums and such the more I realize that the vast majority of vendors and buyers are pretty good people. It's hard sometimes to visualize people like vendors not being cracked out junkies selling to support a habit and in reality they couldn't be to run an online business. Just probably normal old folks like you and me. :)

I read your original post and can understand why you thought what you did think. I've said it often but one of the key things on the DNMs is communication! If I remember correctly, you FE'ed as well, so esp when you FE, you suspect the worst when things don't come as expected. If the vendor had communicated with you in a different fashion (Think he did sort of communicate with you but basically told you to wait 6 days or something), this could have been avoided. If a vendor is indeed scamming, time if of the essence. Its not like you can wait 2-3 weeks for it to get resolved b/c by then, if it is a scam, the scam is over and harm is done.

But I understand vendors have a shitload to do too and have a life outside the DNM. Its good you came back and set the record straight b/c one bad review can absolutely hurt a vendor.

Glad it all worked out!!! I recently FE'd as well b/c of market FUD and could understand the worry.

If he actually is a single parent he is a truly an idiot, way to put your child's future on the line.

I wouldn't feel too bad about it, he wasn't responding and you hadn't gotten your package. You could have waited a bit, but at the same time if it is a scam waiting too long isn't in your best interests. Thanks for updating though, I'd suggest talking to admins on Evo about removing the review (I think you can, I avoid Evo though so I'm not sure). If I was considering buying from someone, seeing one of their customers post something like this would definitely sway me towards buying from them, it's a lot more real I guess.
