What happens if you send mail to an address of a person who recently died?

The mail is forwarded to the cemetary where the person is buried and delivered to the people in charge of the cemetary. Then, usually the family pick it up.

Otherwise, after a year, the cemetary clerk collect all the mail received and proceed to a bidding battle where anyone can buy dead people mail.

The money collected is used to put the most wonderful flowers on the headstone of the deceased.

There has been a great debate about dead people privacy, and if this was the appropriate thing to do. Back in the time, USPS went on strike… and this is how started the American Civil War.

U go to hell

Not really sure. I wouldn't do it though, too sketchy. The dead person's family might set up mail forwarding to a different address or something.

I really don't know how that would work though.
