Complex Mail Undeliverable Issue (Potential Vendor Scam)

On 12/28 i ordered a very large amount of BHO from a reputable vendor on East India Company. Luckily i FE'd before the market crashed and messaged the vendor on alphabay and via email that the package would send out roughly on 12/31. I recieved an email from myUSPS on the morning of the 31st that claimed a package was coming from another state on the west coast and had an estimated delivery of today (1/4/2015). I went to bed last night with a good feeling that the package would arrive today.

However, upon waking up at roughly 11am, i noticed that the tracking said the package was "undeliverable as addressed" at roughly 7:45am. I began to call all local post offices with little to no help in response until i got the number for the sorting center. After refreshing the MyUSPS tracking page i then noticed that the package was marked "Forwarded" at 11:55am which i was informed most likely means the package was returned to the sender on the west coast.

I've been in contact with the vendor who has had good communication up to this point and so i will not name him as a scammer until i have significant evidence to believe he is one.

FYI: I have not received a tracking number from the vendor but have been using the one given by MyUSPS. What i would like to ask is: 1) Do you believe the vendor put the wrong address or name? (i know i sent the right one because i copied and pasted the correct format that i've used several times in the past) 2) Did USPS process this incorrectly and it may still be delivered in a couple days? Or am i possibly using the wrong tracking number? 3) Should i clean my house?

Idk but the first thing I think of reading this is that myusps wouldnt pick it up and tie it to your address(ie showing up on your dashboard) if the address was wrong....think about it.

I googled undeliverable as addressed and it said it usually means it was on the wrong delivery route and it usually gets rerouted to the right route and usually will still be delivered

Praying for you OP

Either the vendor or USPS must have messed up, but this is certainly not your fault as the customer.

Nothing here is your fault- in my opinion, the vendor is definitely up to something. No way you would have the tracking number if you had the address wrong. Not trying to jump to conclusions but seems strange....

"undeliverable as addressed" has come up several times here. Usually it gets resolved ok, but I would be remiss if I didn't contribute my story: my associate's packaged was seized by LE and the tracking showed "undeliverable as addressed". My associate received several calls from LE but no visit and as far as knows that's that.
