A strange situation with a Western Union transfer.

I used LocalBitCoins with a 100% vendor. I paid Western Union and then went home to find that my transaction, when tracked, had NO status. It didn't say anything. The vendor responded to this basically saying that WU would not release the money for an unspecified reason. When I call WU and enter my transaction number, they state that the money was picked up in Colorado, instead of the Phillipines. Now, WU's website doesnt even have a record on the number.

This shit may be totally unrelated, but my clock was set way back to like 2008. I think that's just my CMOS batter just dieing, this is a 7 year old baby. Goddamn, am I paranoid though.

Does anyone have any idea what the fuck is going on?

I called WU and I forced it to give me a person. She could not find a reason for it either, but said it may be that the seller had hit their limit on money transfers. She didn't really say if that could be it. I'm getting a refund though.

what the fuck? good luck man i hope they fix their shit.

[1 Points] None:

No matter what there's no way they'd have any reason to think it was for anything illicit at this point. All you're doing is trying to get BTC. At worst your money is lost but I don't think LE is a factor

[1 Points] PseudologiaFantasy:

Did you send it online or via a store? There are restrictions in place for a variety of things on WU.
