Arrested for placing orders?

Has anybody been or heard of someone being arrested just from placing orders through the Darknet to other addresses and never being in possession of the package? Just curious.

EDIT: Not just random people, people who ask for you to order for them.

My guess is if the person you ordered the package to gets caught, they will snitch on you.

If you are running TAILS and have OPSEC covered everywhere else besides other people knowing about your business regarding the DNMS. You should be fine.

LE would have to prove you ordered the package to their house. No access to your TAILS nor any other records (text messages, Facebook chat, etc) = Slim chance of a charge for you.

I think a lot of things have to go wrong for that scenario to occur. If the name and address match, the customs or the postage system shouldn't get any red flags from that. But if it was snatched up by the cops due to dogs sniffing it out because of poor packaging skills or bad luck, that alone shouldn't be enough for them to come knocking on the door. And even if that, the person that was used should know anyone can send anything in the mail, and he is not accountable for whatever other people send him.

Only possible way I can see this happen is if the order was of such size that the police pressed the dude to give up the guy who actually ordered the package. But hey I'm not that experienced with this shit, and it how this is dealt with differ from country to country.

without access to your computer there is no way for them to know who ordered it. Whoever's address it was sent to can just deny that they ever ordered it and there is absolutely no evidence that they did so. LE can press ppl as hard as they can to admit guilt, but they will never have sufficient evidence.
