[Complaint/Warning] Middle Earth admin won't let me withdraw btc

I recently thought I would start using middle earth because I liked the site layout, and they had good prices for what I was looking for. I deposited 1.2 and then .4 btc (decided to buy a little more than I originally planned), but the seller's pgp was not working so I tried to withdraw to BB to buy from someone else.

I tried withdrawing and it was taking forever, and not showing up on the blockchain. I noticed that I had an extra notification, so I checked it, and it was from the Hobbit saying "Middle Earth - not BTC mixer. Rules- no bullshit. Explain your actions to Gandalf or Gollum." I messaged Gollum about 20 minutes ago, but I thought I'd put this out there that this site is sketchy as hell. Even if it all works out, that is ridiculous that they have the ability to stop withdrawals. Regardless of the outcome I'm never using this site again. "No bullshit" my ass.

UPDATE: They responded and now I can't withdraw for a week apparently... I tried messaging them to ask if I could just have the coins in my balance and buy something, so they get their precious fee money. I'm also going to message the mods of this board to have them removed, because this is such an obvious scam.

It is known, they've been doing this for a while now, and have always had the "no mixing" rule, as far as I know. They use this as an excuse to stop people's withdrawals if they put them in the market and try and take them right back out without purchasing anything. It's total bullshit, but I guess I understand (gotta get them FEE$ son). Someone in the exact same predicament as you made a thread very similar to this a couple weeks back.

I think ME should first of all explain this rule a lot more clearly than they already do, because a lot of people have been getting bit by this. And second, perhaps they could add a "feature" that like allows withdrawals with a 5% fee taken out. It's a little higher than any other "mixer," so it's pretty unlikely that anyone would use it as such, and then they could stop pissing off their customers quite so much. This would probably need to be paired with a very polite and apologetic message.

Fuck this place. People have found serious holes in it already, down to obtaining the IP and holding them for ransom. They launch with JS enabled. Their products list is tiny, and they resort to this kinda shit to make sure they turn a profit?

Just charge a withdrawl fee like everyone else. Ta-Da. No they've got their 4% or w.e.

The admins even been called out for claiming hacker alias's were his when they werent. Can you imagine the hell that could cause someone? If you pin your DNM on them? The admin full blown falsely dox'd someone as the admin. Fuck them.

Only people stupid enough to shop there or vend there are idealist hippy-dippy types that seem to not care that hacksforcrack's skiddie self managed to do serious damage. If hacksforcrack can pull it off - so can the feds.

[1 Points] Hank_Vendor:

Haha! sneaky fucking nerds.

Fuck that place. This is not a mixer? Behave yourselves. Kidnapping peoples bitcoin, cos their vendor list couldnt fill a airplane toilet.

Fuck those guys. I bet they have a shitty tumbler anyway

[1 Points] None:

because I liked the site layout

Say what?

[1 Points] J603:

So now they just refuse to give me my money ever! Great. And upon looking at Gandalf's page there are multiple people saying they can't withdraw, because the pgp doesn't work or the vendor isn't responding... if the mods on this page aren't shills they'll remove ME from the list, and make a warning. There is still time to save some people's money, let's not waste it.

[1 Points] pe3knuckl3r:

not an obvious scam.. just follow the dang rules ya peeknuckler.

This is really a positive development for DNMs as a whole because it will encourage more customers to only send what they're actually intending to spend immediately to the DNM. DNM accounts are not savings accounts. You should be mid-checkout before initiating a deposit to the DNM.
