Question about a Bitcoin address from a Vendor.

So I emailed a Vendor for a Direct Deal, and got an email back from the Vendor with the address I can send the coins to. I look up the address on Blockchain and it has zero transactions. I'm just wondering if that is normal, or if they might be up to something. Don't know if I'm just being nervous or not please let me know.

That just means he's given you an address that only you know. Whenever BTC shows up there, it will/should only be credited to you, since none of his other customers should know about this address.

I'd be wary of using any vendor who gives an address that already has transactions on it. Ideally you should use a new address for each transaction... for opsec.

Electrum generates shit tons of addresses per minute (estimate).

If we give out addresses we are always sure they've previously had zero transactions. OpSecSuperstitionWin
