Ramifications of Leaving Negative Feedback or Opening a Dispute?

So I posted on here a while back about an order that I made a about a week and a half ago. It was supposed to arrive in 2-6 days but never arrived. Now I only have about a day and a half to react before the order finalizes. Since my last post I contacted the vendor and he told me he would send me some sort of tracking notifications to my email, but never did.

In my last post I received a lot of advise telling me to dispute this order one day before it ends. (I'm still hoping it arrives tomorrow.) But my question is, would there be any possible negative ramifications of leaving negative feedback or filing a dispute? Would this vendor use my information for malicious purposes if I did? Any and all responses are greatly appreciated.

you could get blacklisted by the vendor and no longer allowed to buy from that vendor

If you plan to be a return customer of the vendor I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise I always recommend you prioritize not letting it finalize until you know your getting your pack.

Sure they can use it maliciously if they wanted (your information that is). They can pass it around to other vendors and tell them to blacklist you too. Some are petty little shits. But most vendors wouldn't do anything like that. But definitely do NOT let it finalize. You haven't gotten your pack, you dispute. You've done nothing wrong. If the vendor acts dishonorably (like posting your ship information or something), I would hope that AB would take it seriously and ban the vendor

Just file a dispute and state the the pack hasn't landed yet. It is really that simple. I have done this quite a few times. especially with international orders.

You haven't received product and the vendor hasn't sent the tracking info. Of course you should hit the dispute button and extend the auto-finalize timer.

You aren't accusing him of anything. Your just keeping the transaction from finalizing until you get a resolution. Either the package will arrive or you and the vendor will agree on a solution based on what the tracking shows.

The real dispute would come next if you're still not satisfied with the outcome.

Thanks guys. Only time will tell. Is there any point in disputing a day before it ends as opposed to an hour before it ends?

open a damn dispute. theres no ramifications. just open it.

As a vendor, I'd expect that if a pack didn't show up during the escrow period, a dispute would be filed before the end. On Nucleus it's no big deal to resolve disputes as long as both parties are around to communicate. You can't fault anyone for using the protection that escrow provides.

Negative feedback is another matter. I would hope that if there are any issues with an order they're brought to my attention so I can get it taken care of. If someone left negative feedback instead of working it out with me I probably wouldn't sell to them again.

That said, it doesn't sound like you're likely to order from this guy again, especially if the package never shows up. I'd file the dispute without hesitation, but wait to see what happens with the order before you leave feedback. You only get one shot at it, so leave it at the end after you know if the package ever arrived or how the vendor handled the dispute.
