Should be Mandatory already but...

Seeing a lot of posts lately saying "im just using the markets encryption That's ok right ?" NO IT IS NOT! Pgp encytion should be mandatory in being a member of our community for communicating safely with vendors and each other. Not using pgp puts yourself at risk. I know pgp has a horrible user interface and a many many people have trouble with it. Some have said that fact alone has stopped them from ordering and not being able to benefit from all the harm reduction benefits the markets have to offer. If you can't get the hang of pgp , communicate with someone in the community and one of us will help you learn it. (depending what os you have.Admittedly horrible with windows). Some of us are less friendly then others so YMMV but if you just take the time to TRY you will succeed. It's one of the most single beneficial things you can do in protecting yourself and I urge all of you to use pgp on a regularly daily basis.

I'm terrible with anything related to computers but if I can learn PGP, anybody can. The videos on YouTube are extremely helpful

If you're too lazy to learn PGP you deserve the consequences of what could happen. Prior to DNMs my only advanced computer knowledge was torrents. Im sure it took me longer than the average person but if I had to guess it takes 1-2 hours to get the hang if you're paying attention

For anybody on Windows, the gpg4win suite is awesome. Full GUI controls for everything so you don't have to learn anything at the command line level and it's all super intuitive. The website even includes a full how-to tutorial with screenshots along the way and it's posted in multiple languages, too. 5/5 would recommend

How do I download encryption?

[2 Points] SaintVengeance:

This is the type of post we need more of. Encourage good OPSEC. Do you need to PGP encrypt? No. Will it make you safer and at less risk of getting arrested? Absolutely.

Similar to tumbling. Do you need to tumble? No. Will it make you safer and at less risk of getting arrested? ABSOLUTELY.

Can't believe /u/Seraphim_X is actually a mod. Someone is going to get in trouble someday following his retarded advice.

People actually do that? Jesus christ..

Dat Low-hanging fruit tho

r/gpgpractice is a good place to go.

This shitty PGP client is crashing everytime. So gotta go fast with my writings everytime lol.

Had a vendor who only communicated over market messages WITHOUT PGP. Huge red Flag. Was right he tried to scam me.

To everyone having trouble with PGP and the horrible user interfaces of most PGP apps: try PGP4USB. Very intuitive interface.

Gpg4win or tails encryption implementation are pretty easy IMO

I understand that allowing a third party to encrypt your personal info when you can do it yourself is poor opsec but everyone is too busy wacking each other off to shed some light on what can go wrong using this lazy method.

Even though you'll never use the function don't you think it's helpful to know why that function is dangerous in the first place? I know you dont need programming skills to have good opsec, just helpful information. How is anyone meant to improve their opsec knowledge if all you guys do is sit around and jack each other off?
