Question about OPSEC ! I know your opinions will be helpful to me and others.

Im not a noob by any means, but I would like to know where you guys stand on using your HOME NETWORK to order your products from the DNM, assuming you are using Tails and PGP obviously. I understand that your ISP can see when your logged onto Tor, but is this detrimental to your safety? Will this compromise your potential plausible deniability ?

It shouldn't Tor is 100% legal to use (Depending on where you live). Tips for OPSEC -Have a clean house -Never sign for anything or accept a package if a mailman is being shady ie. asking for a specific person -If it's personal amounts use a REAL name and everything else to be sure not to arise suspicions -Mix your bitcoins

Tor is legal but arguably suspicious. The safest thing to do would be using Tails on a public wifi in an area with no cameras. But if you're only ordering personal amounts, I think the general consensus is that it's safe enough to use your home network.

You may want to look into using a VPN to connect to Tor, which masks your traffic from your ISP. But then you run into issues with the reliability and trustworthyness of the VPN provider, as well as configuring Tails. I'm actually not 100% sure that it's actually possible to use the VPN through Tails, maybe someone else can verify that.

Tails does not currently support VPNs:

If you want to use a VPN with Tails, the easiest way is to buy a dedicated VPN router and put the Tails machine behind it:

Tails user, special home SSID only used when on the DNM.

When I say special, I use the general public network that the ISP provides for the everyone within range.

When using Tor on Linux box, VPN over same SSID.

Tor is legal, but yes it may seem of interest to your ISP. It isn't as big of a deal as you might think though. It'll mainly come down to what you're doing on the DNMs. If you're buying for personal use then your home network is fine. If you're moving serious weight you might want to use a public network. As long as the rest of your OpSec is airtight (or as close as possible) you should be good to go.
