I don't want to keep "bothering" the seller, but after reading the RAVE reviews, how good and perfect they are, how awesome their service is and how they are the best I'm still stuck at processing for a full 2 days AFTER they have already received my BTC. I made an order on purpose beginning of week so I would receive same week. So, other sellers out there, what does a buyer do in this situation? Do I keep pestering you with emails or just wait until how many days pass? I was basically told in the last email that my order is being packed now and will get a message to hit finalize. That was a day ago. I'm posting this hear so I can get reliable feedback on what the normal and expected procedure is. Thank you, I appreciate it.

The finalize button only becomes visible when the seller has marked it "in transit".
-
Wow. So after two days of my coins in their pocket it is not even being sent out yet. Ouch. I guess I might have to find alternate means of making purchase of what I want. There are many other sellers out there that probably would give better attention. Thank you very much.
-
The seller has a maximum of 5 days after you order to ship the item.
-
They don't actually have your money yet it's just chilling in escrow.

Incorrect. The seller does not have your coins until they mark your product as in transit and you finalize. Neither has occurred. I understand how it is to not receive product, just try to stay calm and message the vendor. If in 5 days they do not ship you can find someone else.

I've been patient and trying to understand, but when you publicly boast and praise yourself on the BEST service there is and then can't perform or stand behind your own words that in itself is a scam artist to me. Now I don't even get a response. I basically think they advertised of having something "in stock" and really didn't, hence such long wait times. Not cool, not cool. I'm sorry, they aren't getting a finalize anything until I actually receive something. Also I noticed some sellers are actually good enough they don't even require you to finalize early. That's how much they stand behind their service. I've learned a new lesson today. If a seller asks or requires you to finalize early, DO NOT USE THEM. The escrow system is there for protection and SR should NOT let sellers do that to buyers. If they are legit, then they have nothing to worry about, right?
-
I thought that was obvious.... never trust a seller who says to finalize early unless you are willing to give up any protection you have in the transaction..
I thought it was against the rules for sellers to ask that anyways?
And Opentoe.
I buy from a number of TOP vendors (the top 10%) who talk about excellent service, and they do have excellent service, but due to the amount of orders they have, it's unrealistic to assume they will get your package out the day you place the order. Often I have to wait 2 days for some of my packages to even ship out. It doesn't mean they're a scam artist.
Most of them are individuals taking on a lot of business. They're not a big corporation that can get your package within the day... be patient.
-
opentoe- literally same exact thing happening to me. I wont name the vendor but its clearly not a volume issue. Don't worry about getting scammed, thats what the escrows for. its just a frustrating situation that lowers my overarching trust in SR vendors, which is too bad because so many of them seem to be good peoples.

I'll agree and also disagree. If a vendor is doing GREAT I did read that SR has a special feature where they can hide their product and kind of control the influx of orders if they are getting too much buisness to handle. It is not my fault if they don't utilize the features here. Unfortunately greed is what motivates them and keeps them taking orders without the regard to filling them on time. Yea, I'm new to this but I also think buyers need a little more "say" and ammunition on their side. I'm really starting to appreciate the built in escrow system. I will take full advantage of that. :)

One of my buyers recently told me they had this same problem, and support told me it was an ongoing problem they are working on.
I had confirmed the order, it's marked in transit, but the buyer says the finalize button is black and unavailable.
Hope it's resolved soon :)
-
Yeah this has happened to me as a buyer, it was a new seller , order arrived, looks good... but I can't finalise and give the guy a rating (shadh1).. kinda sucks for him because it's going to be hard to get new business with only one previous rating.
I messaged SR Support and they say it's a known issue, they're working on it.

cross post from technical support section -- this problem seems to appear from time to time and is yet to be resolved afaik:
There's supposedly a glitch in the system, that even items marked as in transit by the vendor can not be finalized by the customer. Here's what vendor support had to say about it last night:
"There is currently a glitch that is keeping some clients from being able to finalize. The team is working on it furiously."
If someone who has trouble with some items being able and others not being able to be finalized could do me a favor and check whether the 'grey' finalize buttons (not being able to finalize) are orders from new vendors or ones that have a low (<35) transaction history?

Yep - I've finalized orders from established vendors no probs, the one that I can't finalize has 1 previous transaction.
-
Thanks for checking :)
-
seems like the SR guys have a pretty subtle (hard to pin down) bug on their hands... I just placed another order, (with an established vendor, not sure if it matters) and suddenly I could finalize with the new vendor.
-
Thanks for the hint. I was about to accuse SR Support of misleading me, since they told me it was a glitch as well. But to be honest, I'm not really sure what's going on on either side of SR atm...
What is bothering me though - more as a vendor than customer - after hearing from several customers, I'm almost convinced now, that SR has indeed, completely unannounced, changed their FE policy. Vendors with transaction stats below 35 will have to wait 3 days before their customers can finalize an order. This doesn't make sense imo, since you could still be scammed. If you want to prevent FE with new vendors properly, extend the period to 1-2 weeks. If the item doesn't arrive and vendor is refusing refund, go to resolution centre, if this doesn't help, give negative rating and call him out as a scammer. End of story!
I suspect you being able to finalize the new vendor was more due to the new implementations not working properly yet. But I'm just assuming.
Cheers

They do have that special feature, but you have to understand that they need to protect themselves and not look suspicious. Some may need to drop off mail at different locations or on different days. They are Vendors, not Vending Machines.
You seem to neglect that the Vendors have to protect themselves as well. If a brand new buyer comes in with little to no previous purchases, what's to stop them from getting their order and claiming they didn't?
Obviously don't FE for just anyone, but do your research and only deal with reputable and trustworthy vendors. That's how we all stay safe bud! ;D
The forums are a powerful tool, just ask RXKing ;)

Anything ever happen to solve the inability to finalize? I am a new vendor, have sent out several orders, they receive and used the product and loved it..but they said they have to wait a few days to finalize and leave feedback?!? What is going on....money is just chillin in escrow and I have NO reviews...
Anyone figure out how the solve this?
-
Same problem for me, I am having this problem the vendor said he's shipped out so he obviously should have set as in transit I am presuming he has but it still shows processing for me.
But on the other side of the coin, I never had this problem, with another vendor I purchased of yesterday.

I'm in a slightly similar predicament. I've got a few hundred bucks in escrow atm, growing with each new purchase, that i need for other things and have no idea if/or when the funds can be released by the customers. My best guess is that SR Admins are currently implementing this new policy in the system without letting anyone know for the moment. I've asked Vendor Support yesterday, they assured me it was a glitch they are working on resolving, another customer got a similar response from SR Support and here on he forums the topic is being discussed in three different sub forums and, as of now, no one in the capacity of resolving or at least explaining this issue seems to have the need to step up.

Me to shit load of cash in escrow and no way to spend it made an order and I can't finalize also I noticed my auto finalize days counter is not moving I have an order that was to auto finalize in 4 days and that was 2 days ago and it still says 4 days hope they fix the glitch soon
-
SO after messaging support several times, I get this:
"They cannot finalize until 3 days from it being marked as shipped, this is a new measure to prevent Vendors with under 35 sales from asking for finalizing early.
~Vendor Support"
My reply was less than friendly...I'm screwed! I have a bunch of money sitting in escrow, along with other expenses just like anyone else.
3 days of no cash flow would screw any business...this is just retarded and doesn't justify anything. I don't care if people are getting scammed from being asked my new sellers, or even old sellers!, to FE.
The buyers and sellers guide clearly state the rules, or suggestions, proposed by Silk Road. If anyone fails to read the guide, and decides to toss their money to someone that they, or no one else on the site, known much about - THEN LET THEM GET BURNED! It's a wake up call the to the realities of dabbling in the illegal/legal drug trade, or any trade for that matter...
I'm pissed
-
Thanks for messaging support and making it public, i agree 100% with everything you say!
-
Yeah I just heard about this whole 3-day-until-finalize-thing yesterday after I was wondering why so far only 7 customers finalized their orders although I've already shipped out 20+.
Really sucks to have to wait for your BTC that long but at least right now I've got enough stock to deal with this issue.
And some customers should remember that this is not amazon.com - the customers on here are in a very fortunate situation I think. Never been that easy to get everything you want and yet people complain about 2 days of processing time.
-
well I can't use the finalize button my order was placed 5 days ago and still can't finalize the sale
-
This is certainly strange, other than SR extended the new FE policy again I can only think of an actual glitch in the system this time. I should hear back from my customers soon as well, since the policy was implemented right when they ordered. In any case I'd contact SR Support with it. Here's the current discussion about the introduction of the 3-day finalization policy. http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=20862.0

That could be because the vendor hasn't confirmed your order.
If you check the transaction page (and do a hard refresh with CTRL+F5), does it say in transit?
