I'm pretty new to SR buying, however, I've already been screwed recently on my fourth purchase for ฿44.4 paying a seller before I received my item and he never sent me anything.
Instead of transferring money directly to the sellers ฿ account, it's transferred to a SilkRoad account in the sellers name (to verify the buyer actually has the funds at least) and is held there (seller cannot remove it) until the buyer receives the item, and releases the funds fully. I mean, it's not perfect...but at least there is some protection for the buyer and the seller gets to verify the buyer actually has the funds.
Is there anything in the works to put something into effect that's safer for both the buyer, and seller to make transactions? Does anyone else have any ideas towards preventing things like this?

Why are you not using the built in escrow system that safeguards every purchase on SR for both the seller and the buyer?

::) I wasn't aware there was anything like this, can you point me to a guide if there is one, or just explain it to me by chance?
Edit: I just realized that paying the seller is considered "escrow" if done through the website, which I did. So I've messaged the admins to hopefully get this worked out. Thanks!
