hello! i have been a member of silk road for several months now and only placed a few orders. placed order with vendor named smiletabs. can anyone tell me if they have had issues with this vendor such as delivery being late? it is advertised fast delivery. some reviews say very fast and most say it was very very slow. it has been exactly 6 days since it has been listed as in transit is this unusual? just think it is wrong to say shipping is fast when the majority disagree.from inside the united states this strikes me as strange. i have received and sent first class postal service and made it clear across this country in under 4 days and first class is probably the slowest there is in this country! sorry not bashing this vendor just wondering because of all the bad comments about shipping time and mistakes made, which i did not see because i failed to go beyond the 11th page. :( please dont bash me just wanting some honest feedback as what i spent is more than i care to admit. :( thanks!
p.s. i just mentioned something about dcn in another topic. can someone explain to me, and others, why this is not absolutely useless and what it proves other than the fact something was sent to the same area as it was meant for? we need a better way to protect buyers.

I placed an order with SmileTabs a couple of weeks ago and everything went fine. I think it was about 4 days from marked in transit to when i received it. I totally understand your frustration (not anger). I just received a package today that i would have thought should have been to me on Thursday (purchased from a different vendor). I even considered starting a thread about the frustration of waiting on the postman because i know we all have it at different times. If you consider the threats on the vendors side of things and the fact that they need to change up their routines regularly 6 days is not terrible at all. I completely understand your frustration, but keep it together and there's a great chance you'll have it on Monday. I only had the one order from SmileTabs, but they struck me as professional and organized. They definitely had good communication. Given it's the weekend they may be hard to reach. I think if you message them today you will have a package or reply by Monday evening. Best of Luck!

hi wetdog thanks for being so polite. its just weird how loads of reviews i have read and they claim it was fast. some very fast. but now i see that its easy for anyone to say good things in review.
guess maybe i was very impatient here and no i was a bit selfish with not considering all they have to do as far as moving around and what not. but i mean its not in the vendors hands anymore considering its been 6 days in transit. i just wish i knew what service was used to ship. if it was first class then i would certainly understand.

In regards to the "in transit" mark on your order. This comment is in general because i have no clue what SmileTabs does. I'm certain a lot of vendors mark it "in transit" right away. That way there is no way for the buyer to cancel as they are preparing the package and printing labels. If this is there practice then they could mark it as "in transit", then it may take that day to package all of the order up, then they may give it to a runner who may take a day or two themselves depending on where they drop. All just guesses, but if this all were the perfect storm then it could be 3 - 5 days from marked "in transit" until it's actually in the carriers system. Then the good ole USPS does there thing. So at 6 days you are still in the realm of believable, but i think somewhere around 8 or 9 days something is wrong. Keep in mind it could just as easily be something wrong on the USPS side of things. Given you are in escrow and SmileTabs has a strong reputation i think at the end of the day you will be fine. As far as the timing goes you should plan on two weeks and the ones you get in two days will be a huge bonus! I still fuck my timing up all of the time and i pay for it. The past two days were sober hell for me and it was all my fault. I give you my advise because once the package arrived for me today (from another vendor) i was really glad i didn't fly off of the handle and message them like crazy because that would have burned a bridge for no reason. If you stay in escrow, deal with top quality vendors (like SmileTabs), and remain patient your odds of overall success will jump dramatically. Once again best of luck to you!

well thats just silly and makes no sense to mark something "in transit" unless it is... in transit. if they mark it that way just to avoid a cancel, how does this do anything but leave them less time before a buyer starts asking? and if someone is worried about someone cancelling then they are not very confident in what they are doing. someone would have to be very desperate to do so, i'd think. either way nobody should expect a buyer to consider that a vendor hits "in transit" unless its true. i think that buyers should get tracking after a certain amount of days go by. surely that cannot be "too sensitive" of information to send, right? people send encrypted addresses every day. some vendors offer tracking without even asking. but to come out and say they do not give dcn unless there is an issue? bah, thats silly imo. and i have thought maybe it was too risky to do so but then again a package arrives with all the details, more details than dcn offers, right?
2 weeks, for what? you mean expecting time or? if so thats insane. it would auto-finalize by then. im not sure i am getting what you are saying here. but thanks for the input.thats all i wanted was some feedback here so i hope nobody takes offense by mere questions. after all it seems more the case that buyers are suspect in wrong doing more so than vendors with high reputations. thats changing though as you can probably see.

I am with you and i am not a vendor. I don't think that marking "in transit" when it isn't is right, and i don't think two weeks lead time for a package to arrive is right either. Regardless, both seem to be a reality some of the time. So if you expect that and occasionally receive better you will be disappointed less. That's my only point.
Another tactic i use as a buyer is to place multiple orders with multiple vendors. That way if you have an issue with one it doesn't spoil your party.

I agree if it is marked in transit and is not, I'd probably not do business with someone again. Understandable that they may get many orders, but they shouldn't take them if they cannot handle them. And the fact that this is not exactly "legal" , that should have nothing to do with it. Especially if they boast speedy delivery.

:It would appear SmileTabs has an issue with delivery. Lots of complaints. Theres even one that describes a 2+ week delivery time. Do they ship from within the U.S. or what?
I ordered and they put it in transit as well when it wasn't even shipped. I think they need to be told to stop false advertising. There's no excuse for bullshitting someone like that. I do not see a future order, for me anyway.
