Title: How long before a vendor can require FE?
Post by: ErgoProxy on August 05, 2012, 02:07 pm
I've read on a few vendors pages, they are requiring FE. Is it not true that a vendor must be a vendor for a specific amount of time for this? I can understand why vendors would want this ( I've got just 2 purchases ), but I do recall being told that someone was not allowed to do so because they were not a vendor for very long. So if this is true, how long must they be a vendor for?

I have read around and cannot seem to find this info. I have also read plenty about how some scam selectively. Which is why I'll probably do a couple smaller deals with someone if I have never done a deal with them.

Thanks.

One month and 35 transactions.

One month and 35 transactions.

I see. Because I have tried to do deals with 3 different people, all of whom have been vendors under 1 month. It even says on their listings that someone must have a certain amount of transactions or they must FE. Which kind of confused me, especially if someone hasnt been here that long either.

Thank you very much for the response. I guess I'll just not do business with them... wonder if they even realize they must be here for a while.

You are right, you shouldn't do business with new vendors who ask you to FE. They are not allowed to do that but still try it. I wouldn't feel safe ordering from such a person. If they disregard this rule, how can i be sure they won't break other rules as well.
