I was expecting it to be crap, but in the end I thought it was great. Good times to be British at the moment. All those gold medals. With all the crap going on in the world and the EU sinking under the weight of it's own debt, I'm glad now that the games came to London. I think we did a good job, in a way that only we can.
What do you think?

I loved it, been something that has brought a bit of light back into Britain during these times. More importantly though it's meant that we can say with total certainty FUCK YOU AUSTRALIA!

There's an Olympics on? Can't say i'd noticed... :P

i approached the games with much caution & cynicism but following the opening ceremony iv waved my flag and welcomed every medal.
but is it only me who thought the closing ceremony was a bit shit?

Oh Australia, how the mighty have fallen. I wouldn't mind but they live to beat the poms at any sport. Now their just an also-ran.

I'm not one bit mad. My country had a great Olympics, by our own standards that is.
No offence, but i'd prefer to have no medals at all than to be from the USA.
Here is one reason why, but there are others: ;) ;) ;)

Yeah, we got the tone of the opening and closing ceremonies just right. We cant beat the Chinese for organisation and precision and we cant compete with the USA when it comes to Hollywood glamour, but when it comes to cool...the UK leads the world.
We reminded the world just what we are.....quirky, chaotic, diverse and very very cool.
