Hi everyone, I’m a newbie buyer wishing to make a first order. The seller I’m interested in, hashuk, asks for new customers to ‘finalize early’. Is that any different to doing a deal outside escrow, ie does the buyer have any rights at all in this situation? Also, do I have to give a rating when I finalize because I wouldn’t know what to give the seller when I haven’t received anything? Also, who counts as a ‘new customer’? I’m a bit worried about all this, thank you.

When you finalize, he gets the money sooner. If you don't finalize it can take up to 17 days to get the money, so it just guarantees he doesn't have to wait that long. Once he sends your package in the mail, you would finalize. If you live in the USA I suggest tweetb, as its safer to ship locally.

Thanks for that, but the seller is saying he will not post the item until it's finalized, is this allowed? How do I go about leaving feedback. It seems that everyone who finalizes early leaves 5 out of 5. Is feedback done at the same time as finalizing? If so, I would be worried to leave less that 5 stars because I would want the package to be sent, and that makes the whole system flawed imo. Why do people talk about not doing things 'outside escrow' as separate from 'finalizing early' if they both amount to the same thing? Thank you.

I did a forum search and found the information I need. It looks like feedback can be done after finalizing and it can also be changed so I feel more reassured now. Still, I don't like the idea of finalizing early when sr is there to sort out disputes. Hmmmmmmm
