Title: question about igolder

so my buddy told me that http://www.igolder.com is not that safe. what is everyones thoughts about this. he showed me this program pgpforusb but idk how to get the public key

Your buddy is right. You definitely should not be using that site, or any website-based encryption tools for that matter.

I'm assuming you are talking about GPG4USB. Once you have generated your key, you can click the "Manage keys" tab at the top, and then check the box next to your name/key and click "Export to clipboard." You will then have your public key copied and be able to paste it wherever you need to. Check out astor's tutorial if you have any other questions ----> http://32yehzkk7jflf6r2.onion/gpg4usb/

Never use third party services for encryption.  I don't know why so many people on here use that.

You should not use ANY third party communication carrier like igolder, Privnote and that other one we were talking about this week that I have forgotten, on the basis that your information is going to a.... third party. Once more.... third party. So simple it is beautiful. Third party is third party is third party.

Use PGP, or GPG if they wish to call it that these days (I call it PGP). There is a PGP CLub for newbies on a Pinned Topic (sticky) in this section.
