I have been doing as much reading as i can, have downloaded and played with GPG some, but havnt quite figured out best way to handle the BTC issue yet.
Also--what are most doing about email address?? using a real one, fake one, is there an email service that is anonymous?
Any suggestions would be appreciated--im getting really anxious to make a few trades in the market ;-)

I learned the ins and outs by researching on my own. I didn't just stroll in on my first day and start posting "help me" threads.

Good for you. This kind of in-group elitism really bugs me. So the guy didn't see a certain point. Or missed it amongst the volume of text to sort through upon first signing up. Good thing there's, oh I dunno, a forum where new members can 'stroll' in and ask experienced members for help. Pay it the fuck forward - that's the idea. Don't exclude people in a lame attempt to establish some self-importance.
I'm damn gratreful for the helpful members of this community like Guru, Vlad and Pine who take the time to help out new members. Not posting passive-aggressive shit to new members who politely ask for guidance.
Go ahead and neg my karma, I could care less. OP - I'm no wiz, but if you have any basic questions please feel free to PM me.

exactly...jeezsus!
Its gets SOOOOO fucking old dealing with posts from semi-elitist quasi experts on fucking forums...
goddamn--ask a question/answer a question. its the way the world works.
I never have figured out why someone can take the time to post a reply "look it up douche, use the search blah blah blah", yet have no intention of offering anything of value.
no one cares how much you think you know, if you have to post up smart ass replies.
it makes most folks too skittish to actually ask for help.
if you cant add something worthwhile to the conversation--butt out, mind your own damn business, i wasnt talking to YOU.
I learned along time ago, just like in life--if you cant add something worthwhile to the conversation--butt out, mind your own damn business, i wasnt talking to YOU.
nuff said. party on.
I'll make my own way without shitheads. 8)

To be fair, I'd recommend searching in the future instead of posting basic questions because these questions have been asked hundreds of times before which has led to the creation of several guides and walkthroughs on various topics that are very in depth and will get you a much more thorough answer than you'll get here. Just for future notice :)

Tormail is what i have seen widely recommended just as TT suggested. Ignore the assholes that are responding. Obviously it's a good idea to read the forums to try and find you're answer, but don't be afraid to ask the question. If it's so troubling to someone they should just ignore, but some have deep issues that fills them with the need to lash out at a simply polite question. My best advise to you moving forward would be keep your manners even when others obviously have none.
