Title: Effects of Etizolam
Post by: bigdaddy5150 on October 23, 2012, 08:21 pm
Hello everyone, I was just wondering where I could read about the effects of etizolam. I have some experience with benzos and I want to know how etizolam compares to the others and what's different about it.

I apologize if this information is already posted,  I did a forum search and couldn't find anything that was helpful to me.

I never even heard of it until SR. I can tell you this...if you have a relatively minor tolerance to benzos, they will most likely be useless to you. Think of Eti more like a 2mg Lunesta or 5mg Ambien instead of a benzo. I take 2mg of Xan to sleep and I took two Etizolams and literally didn't even get tired.

I'm sure if one were to have zero tolerance to benzos or the Z drug class...then they might be worth using.

There is a reason why they aren't classified

It seems to be one of the stronger benzos. I don't get tired from Xanax at all only strong anti-axiety .
The Z-drugs are perfect for initiating sleep and I really like the buzzz. So Etizolam has strong anti-axiety and is also hypnotic like Z-drugs. Seems like the perfect combination for me!

Indications
    Short-term treatment of insomnia[4]
Short-term treatment of anxiety or panic attacks, if a benzodiazepine is required[5]

Dosage
For anxiety: 1–2 mg two times per day (maximum 4 mg per day)
For insomnia: 2–4 mg before bedtime

A 1 mg dose of etizolam is approximately equivalent to that of 10 mg of diazepam, see List of benzodiazepines.

Most users prefer etizolam because of its penis-shrinking side effect and amphetamine-like stimulation.

Seriously though, here's a whole page dedicated to the effects of etizolam.

In my experience, 1mg etizolam is approximately equal to .5-.75mg alprazolam (Xanax). I'd describe it as less sleepy and more euphoric, which directly contradicts these other replies but whatever. The most interesting characteristic of etizolam is its reverse-tolerance effect; the drug actually became more effective in some people after having been taken for two weeks.

Benzo addiction can get very serious, very quickly. Play it safe. Eat etizolam.

Update: I ended up getting 30 Etizolam after I first tried them and posted in this thread. I was thinking due to my existing tolerance, I did not experience the typical effects (which I expected).

I abstained from Benzos for 5 days before I tried Etizolam again. I can officially say, Etizolam does not effect me in the slightest and I give it a 1 out of 5 rating. I literally just gave them away to my friend at work who does not use substances like I do {regularly}.

I'll state again...I do have a high tolerance for anything narcotic, so my judgement is nothing to go by if you don't. So my experience applies to fellas like me...who tend to munch pills regularly, if you are debating Etizolam...and regularly use Benzos (1mg Xan, 10mg Val, 2mg Klon), don't bother with Etiz. I'm sure they may be great for the casual user...but if you are in the US and have a good connect...save your $ for the regular Benzos.

I consider etizolam a miracle drug.   Remember, it isn't technically a benzo, but it is okay to directly compare them.  compared to other benzos...  Way less inclination to build tolerance, way more euphoric lift, way better for giving you a restful and healing sleep, or knocking you down from a stim high or whatever.

I am more than happy to hear people say they get nothing out of etizolam, because it keeps demand down for those of us who know how awesome it is.  2mg is all I have ever taken.

I got ten of them from Chem4coin for ten bucks including shipping!

I don't have a high tolerance and xanax makes me feel shitty the next day but these etizolam made me feel great during it and the next day. They do help me get some much needed rest. I am not sure about the long term effects but I do want to order some more. Get them before the price goes up. It's true that they are slightly more stronger then a blue valume to me. After taking one I was relaxed with no stressful anxiety and felt good. It's true I have no tolerance for this type of medicine but I like that I didn't have bad effects the next day like I do with xanax and valume.

This is simply not true. I took the whole crew of benzos (well sort of) and take them as a tool. (Try not to take them for fun)

Normaly I buy 250mg of an online pharm and them just put 20mg in a 10ml dropper with absinthe 70% (I do not like the idea of no smell and taste for KO-Drops so Anis ftw)
Ready mixed I have 20 pulls of a liquid that equals 1mg per dose.
1-2mg will calm me down
2+ will knock me out for solid 6 hours
never gone over 7mg

And I have other benzos here and do not take them because I like eti more.

take care

First of all Etizolam isn't a benzo, but as a (in most places legal) thienodiazepine it is pretty similar.

The common knowledge is that 1mg Etizolam is equal in effect to 10mg Diazepam (Valium). I'm not so sure that this is a valid comparison as the effects strike me as pretty different.

For me, 1mg Etiz has a similar anxiolytic effect to 10 mg Diaz but has a stronger hypnotic effect. The half-life of Etizolam is much shorter than Diazepam too, making Etizolam more preferable of an evening if you have to be on the case the following morning. With Etizolam make sure you buy the Etilaam brand as there are a l ot of fakes / inferior product around.

Don't be fooled by Etizaolam's seemingly more benign presence than that of Benzo's. Etizolam will bite you hard if you don't respect it. The withdrawals are every bit as grim as benzo withdrawal so please be careful.

nice post and it seems you have more knowledge then me. I thought it is a benzodiazepine but I really do not care. hehe.
I love to be able to sleep after a party night of polytox (ab)use and not have to stay awake for days like in my wild rave days back in the 90s.

The withdrawals is what I am afraid of the most. No I dont want to get WD symptomes from such a med.

Just make sure you don't use for more than two (three at a push) days running and you will be fine

It is also relatively safe to use, the effectiveness increases the first 4 weeks. So 1mg a day would be ok with me.
It also has less withdrawal potency:
When multiple doses of etizolam or lorazepam were administered to rat neurons, lorazepam caused downregulation of alpha-1 BZD sites (aka tolerance/dependence), while etizolam caused an increase in alpha-2 BZD sites (aka reverse tolerance to anti-anxiety effect).
