Hi, I'm a new seller and I'm trying to hit those magic numbers so I can request finalization ahead of time. I'm offering a good product at a very competative price. I'm allowing these offers only to established buyers and I understand I'm not allowed to ask for finalization until my probation period is over. I feel that some new buyers may want to make purchases but I just don't feel comfortable selling to them. So, my solution and question.
Since I'm not allowed to ask for finalization, can I make it a requirement for new buyers? If you wan't to buy from me, and fail to meet my requirements then you may finalize early to be considered. I don't think this breaks the rules but it may be a little gray.
Do I get a green light on this?

Just say all new buyers have to have at least recorded delivery. Having that makes sure people know you are definitely going to send it and you will have solid proof for any new buyer that tries to strip you down.
-
Ive seen a couple posts about buyers not being able to finalize for 3 days anyways when it comes to new sellers? IDK.
Any advice from Limetless is generally very good.

Unless I go to the dark place.... :P
Also at OP. Saying you insist on recorded delivery for new buyers may actually do you some credit because it shows face. :)

By recorded delivery do you mean Delivery Confirmation? If so, I've implemented that recently...I hope ( seperate question ).
Seperate Question: Is $.80 sufficent for DCN? I thought I read that somewhere and couldnt confirm it online.

Haha yeah "Recorded Delivery" is British for "Delivery Confirmation" mate. :)

Instead of asking for early finalization, why not put in your product info that anyone with < however many previous orders you feel comfortable with must agree to a 0% refund if the item doesn't arrive?

Because if you do that it's his word against the client and no definitive proof. Only way to do it is to demand recorded delivery for say all 0-5 transaction members. Simpleeees. :)

by recorded delivery, do you mean requiring a signature?
thats just creepy to me.
-
Why? It proves that the product has been shipped so there can be no doubt. It allows you not to be ripped off.

It can still technically be scammed since all it proves is that "something" was shipped out, could still be a bag full of flour and oregano. But a complaint from a reputable member would eventually put the seller out of business so it's best not to even try.
I'm a new seller too, I'm using tracking for all packages and selling to everyone. even newbies. Makes it safer for me and the seller a bit more confident. At least that way nobody can claim that it never arrived.

The way Canada Post does it is they just scan it as delivered in the system when they drop it off in the mail box. You only need to sign for it if the package is too large and you miss the delivery.

Yeah this is true but I doubt you could only make that fly twice, any more than 1 person saying that and it'd be obvious that shit was going down.

just don't sell to noobs. there are people who will, but a smart and realistic vendor wouldn't, IMO, unless they could withstand a certain amount of shrinkage.
at this point in the game, whenever I hear a vendor even mention the term "finalize early" my first thought is "fuck you, cock smoker." we're all taking risks here, but vendors stand to profit from it. escrow is the whole point of this place...without it you might as well be posting ads on craigslist looking to buy/sell drugs. just man up and deal with this place as it is or go back to selling in real life

Well, yes they're vendors of course they profit from it. And no, escrow isn't the only thing that seperates this place from escrow, what kind of argument is that? I only ask this question so I give new members an opportunity to build a history while hedging my risks. I ask not for myself but for those people who I have to turn away. Kinda sucks.

As long as you DCN (delivery confirmation) and it is confirmed delivered, people will have a hard time saying they never got it and SR should side with you on any disputes, especially if they are new buyers.

Nooo!!! ok, maybe don't sell to those other noobs, but sell to me!!!!
though, if people refuse to sell to me, it's no big deal for them, I'm just going to buy small uantities of random chems. (hw many hits of 25i can I do a year? 10?). They wont be out jack shit, but I'll be out a lot. In fact, I'll be out everything because I can't find the shit I want locally at prices I'll pay. (10$ a hit for mxe, fuck that, from shady people too, fuck that)
