Title: Mail recovery center?
Post by: needsomeadvice on March 03, 2012, 12:17 am
If an item that is shipped, lets say an opiate (total weight 1gram) is sent domestically in the usa and the package is damaged and they determine that the item needs to be tested and sent to a mail recovery center. Do you think that the odds are the package will just be destroyed?

I know that there are only 3 possibilities when sent to mail recovery center.

1. they attempt to return the item

2. forward it to a forwarding address

3. they open it up to determine the contents.

Im hoping that they just destroy it. It was about 1gram of powdered opiate. I would think that it would take more than one gram for them to start "looking" or whatever.

Ideas? The vendor used all precautions, i.e. wore good gloves and sent from a post office not in his/her zipcode.

all the more reason to use a PO box opened with a fake ID.

maybe i'm from a different era, but this tactic has worked "very" well for many i know. for many years. and allows you to move on in such a situation. instead of having your home addy eternally flagged.
