Hey guys,
Not sure if this has been mentioned before but it would be great to be able to change the listing title.
The reason being, we always offered free shipping in the title and now with the new shipping requirements and location sorting, there is really no need to put it in the title. We also dont want to lose all our good feedback on an item by creating a new listing.
Cheers,

This is a non-trivial problem. I would suggest a feature allowing the addition (and removal) of "(free shipping)" to product titles or something, rather than the blanket permission to change listing titles, because the latter could be abused to link feedback to listings for which it really doesn't apply.

Yes, that is a very valid point. Maybe SR or admin could take requests from people to remove trivial sentences like "Free Aussie Shipping!"

I ran into this same issue with wanting to change a listing title, then I realized how the feedbacks stick to each item. I only wanted to change a quantity in the title to reflect the prices, but I see how this could be abused.

I would really like to see the title of listings become standardized. By that I mean something like the following:
Product: "Some Strain of Weed"
Sold in Units: [ 1 ], [ ea. | g | oz | cup | liter | gallon | hogshead | etc ]
Units available: 12
Other Notes: "This week I'm throwing in a free gallon of crack with every purchase"
This would allow much more detailed information to be displayed, and allow much more advanced searching and sorting. The "Product" could be static while the "other notes" section could be edited as often as desired. This ensures that the reviews and such remain for that particular product and a new product must be created if you substantially change the listing, however you would also have the option to run specials or whatever on a sub-title line.

I've been thinking this a lot recently!
It's so frustrating browsing the marketplace and seeing "LSD 3D Red Ganesha - 120ug Blotter", "Shiva LSD 150 mics [10 tabs]", and "30 x **LSD Gummy Stars**".
Standardizing the naming would be the first step in a advanced searching system as well, a feature much requested but hard to implement without this being in place.

ye i agree with this would be handy to be able to change the listing name

I think it's not realistic because the feedback is relevant to the title and you could take feedback but make it a completely different amount or weight, then feedback could read for a 1 dollar item like it reads for a 30 dollar item. Completely out of wack. Yes, there need to be more standardized fields and there is no reason there shouldn't be.
