There's scientific studies that have suggested low doses might quickly relieve depression. Even sub-mind melting doses in fact.

Don't really know that much about Ketamine, but I've heard that shrooms have been used to treat depression in some situations. Also MDMA to treat PSD.

Ketamine is also used to induce a coma to resolve severe chronic pain conditions.
