A) That seizure notice does not appear to be legitimately from the government. Here are some examples of legitimate notices...
https://www.google.com/search?q=seized+websites&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=Z9tMUruVJMasigLW64HgCA&ved=0CDIQsAQ&biw=1600&bih=775&dpr=1
Notice the background. Diagonal are the words Seized, Seized, Seized. No camel, no solid-colored borders, as on SR. Someone else pointed out that legit notices say "This domain has been seized," not "This hidden site has been seized," as on SR. Also, there's the odd camel watermark. What does this tell us? If the admins put it up, why would they do that?
B) I think there's still a good chance folks will get their coin back. That is, if they employed the backup wallet feature. Someone else already posted that they had indeed received their coins in their backup wallet about eight hours ago. They seem to be the only one so far, though, on the forums and on reddit (which is now PRIVATE for goodness sakes. I can't access it as of a few minutes ago), so I think that person is lying. Perhaps DPR's cohorts have yet to release the funds because they aim to bring the site back up. Or, perhaps enough time has not passed for DPR's dead-man switch to engage and release funds automatically.
C) What about funds in escrow? Don't they auto-finalize after 17 days? DPR could not have been the only person that had Admin access to the site, and I believe he has said as much in the past. Hopefully, his cohorts are able to suspend all auto-finalizations (as they have done in the past during previous outages). Surely they are also able to cancel all orders and then release funds to backup wallets. Thoughts? What's wrong with my logic?

^ i mean you cannot argue what you present at all. it seems as if it could so happen, i do agree there are some really strange things about this seizure overall, and im pretty sure it would have made headline news if it really went down, i know the mods are confirming what is happening, but DPR and his crew had a plan in place to handle a situation like this if it ever occurred for someone else to step in and take over. im sure with the servers across many locations that SR will be back up, im just not sure when, hopefully the original DPR will come back and bring the site back to the glory days, but we shall see for now all we have is time and only time will tell what really has happened here.

What time did the site go down? I can not find a solid answer anywhere.. around what time PDT (pacific daylight time) did the feds take over?
-
Website went down around 9 oclock pacific time I was on it around 7 am on it fine around 9 it said down for maintnance then moments later displayed the picture

Anybody remember the phishing site that asked you for your pin in the homepage? And once you log in there was a seizure notice? If I remember correctly the seizure notice for the real site looks almost identical to that one.
Also,
When they took over tormail, what did it say?

Wow all over the mainstream media, hoping someone has a cached copy of the site so we can get dealers emails that kept them on their profiles?

I'm in the same boat. My package went out via Priority mail on Monday and should be here by now, since USPS changed their Priority service to be guaranteed based on location and it is always two days with this guy. A third day may be no big deal--maybe he dropped it off post cutoff or whatever, but... I didn't receive ANY mail today except for a slip that was left for a package unrelated to SR. They wanted me to sign for it even though it is a normal monthly item that I never have to sign for and always fits in the mailbox. The postal dude wrote the words "not safe" on the slip--not sure what that means but it's sure fueling my paranoia.

that is a bit wierd, unless it was a huge order I probably wouldnt worry so much though
