Saw the threads about missing forum posts. I'm sitting here with two tabs open in FF, each pointing to a different software version of the forum, each with different content. One is pointing to SMF 2.0, the other to SMF 2.0.1. People are reporting missing threads mostly in the latter version.
This has been happening since a couple of days. Each time, after switching identities in Vidalia, it seems like a crapshoot as to where I will end up. If I'd hazard a guess, I'd say it's a DNS problem.
I find this unnerving. Any insights? Or better yet, workarounds?
Will post this to both forum instances if I can.

looks like version B is up now.

Check the Silk Road Discussion section.
There are two topics: Forum Version A and Forum Version B.
Either one is active, but not both. That'll tell you which one is up. Right now it's Version B.

Thanks. Perhaps a thread titled "Forum A" or "Forum B" could be stickied in all sub-forums as long as this goes on, to make clear where you are at any time.

The hack attacks are real.
Can you explain this in further detail?

Right now this does not look good. Over the past couple of days I have seen the occasional post from members talking about there being different versions of the forums running.
Earlier today/late yesterday I made some posts, on the 2.0 site. When I logged in today I saw that the version was now 2.0.1 and the thread I had replied to was gone, and the number of posts showing on my profile had gone down.
This is not good. Someone from SR needs to respond to this. If this keeps up, and every time you log in you stand a chance of logging into a different version, the two sites are going to be in a mess. Members won't be able to keep track of threads, posts will go missing, it will be a mess.
And that's only the posts. The same thing is happening to PM's. I had PM going back and forth with someone, then logged out for awhile. I logged back on to see if the member had replied back to my last PM, waited for a few hours, until I finally went directly to messages only to find nothing there. In the end I had to PM them via SR so we could get back on track.
SR, please let us know what is happening, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I created two topics under the Silk Road Discussion section.
Right now the topic FORUM VERSION B is visible. I created topic FORUM VERSION A when the other version was up. I haven't seen for the past few days, seems like it's gone for good.

Well, hopefully you have seen the reason by now. They upgraded to a new server with 2.01, a faster version, for some reason the old one stayed online and some times you would connect to the old version. Any posts on that one are gone. I do not believe anyone is going to try merging the posts, considering it almost impossible task.
