Title: Sign message (before?) encrypting?
Post by: greencrayon on March 18, 2012, 07:23 pm
It seems like I read a post by an annoyed vendor that everyone was signing their encrypted messages either before or after encryption, and it was the wrong way. I can't find it anymore. What is the point of signing the message if it clearly came from your username on the Silk Road interface? Is it really necessary? I don't understand. When I simply sign a message (without encrypting), it spits out a file that looks like it is encrypted. How is the vendor going to read that?

This is my first time ordering and using PGP. I don't want to piss anyone off.  ;)
