Its funny because drug addicts never do laundry.
-
i'll set up a money laundering service, selling tide for bitcoins.

pun intended?

I saw this before on some legitimate news site and thought it was an April Fools joke or something.. It's so weird. Why is laundry detergent universally valued?.. Also wouldn't it be one of the harder (bulkier) things to shoplift?..
-
Really insane how ballsy some people are to load up a shopping cart with jugs of Tide and just walk out the front door.
But I think these guys have probably moved on to stealing metal. I read a news report where commercial truck batteries were being stolen because they could be sold to a scrap yard for up $40 each. :o Of course you have to worry about getting battery acid burns, but hey, this could be big money.

i saw the topic title and said to myself "oh it can't be about laundry detergent!" so i came in to make a lame joke..... joke's on me this time i guess
-
Why steal detergent? It's bulky and the $/lb doesn't make it worth it.
If you're going to steal something to return for money, steal vitamins (particularly Co-Q10) and razor blades.

its because its easy to launder

Witty, but painfully corny.
