As of now, new members seeking help will post randomly from General Discussion to Security to Off Topic, on matters that have been addressed over and over. Ideally they would refer to the Wiki and previous posts, but the Silk Road can be overwhelming at first and it can be nice to start your own topic to get personnal support.
Centralizing these types of threads into a dedicated section will:
Help direct new members to existing resources (past threads, wiki);
Address issues individually and get new members started fast, alleviate frustration;
De-clutter other sections, allowing for better discussion there;
Identify the most common issues people are running into, and use the data to build a FAQ, a series of guides, and improve the wiki.
Some problems that may arise:
New members ignoring the Help section;
Not enough people willing to help;
Depleting other sections from activity.
What are your thoughts?

Here's a link to the SR wiki: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
It covers a lot of what you'll need to know to get started. :)

I really wasn't asking for myself, but thank you. Maybe read my post again?
I was more concerned about managing the countless "how to bitcoin", "how do I pgp", "how make anonymous" threads that pop up every day. For example (http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=6041.msg51945). These are questions that have been addressed numerous times but keep being asked.It is my opinion that the constant outpour of threads is polluting the forum, diluting actual discussion and general interest, and instauring bad habits; I'm suggesting we work on a solution. ;)
