dear friend SR, the situation in SR , must be changed...
It is not possible that most of the vendors, puts great pictures, (pieces of rock, fish scales, beautiful photos)
writes high percentage, (80% - 90% - uncut ) , and then eventually get just the opposite...
All this must change...
the method of feedback must change...the 5/5 should be abolished .. and we have to use 10/10...
this way if the seller says 80% and instead we get to 60% ...we put 6/10
If the seller says fish scales and instead we get powder ...we put 7/10 etc etc...
these are just examples...
in this way the sellers, will have no more easily 100% or 99% of feedback .... but the percentage will lower...
so sellers who speak the truth have a nice high score.... sellers that say the false will have a lower score ...
so that all vendors will tend to be more honest and write the truth about their products...
and we have the opportunity to understand the precise honest seller and then buy from him...
change the method of feedback, from 5/5 to 10/10 is a wise choice
peace

guys only write if you like this idea, so that the moderators will change the feedback from 5/5 to 10/10
-
Please clarify - So if it's 60% you give 6/10, are you saying if the vendor advertises it as 80%, you give them 8 out of 10?
-
no no those are just some examples ... if the seller says 80% and then comes the other hand, 50%, then you will put for examples 6/10 ,because you think the seller comes to the sufficiency, but also you could put 5/10 ... in this way the percentage of sales goes down dramatically, and so all the sellers tend to be more honest, to hold its share ..
with the system instead of 5/5 even if you put 4/5 the percentage remains high, and then all sellers tend to be dishonest
-
This would not work. The feedback isn't only about purity of product, it's about the overall transaction. How are you going to test THC % in cannabis to make your rating? Are you going to give them a 2/10 for 20% THC?
-
you did not understand my speech ....
if the seller complies with everything he writes about a product, then give 10/10 ....
If you do not like the packaging will give 9/10
If you do not like the quality 'give 8/10
if it says super quality, but instead receive lower quality then you will give even less ... I did just a few examples
-
OK, you're saying that a more expansive rating sacle would improve honesty with vendors? Or some such?
Hmm... It might also improve the honesty of buyers too...
-
yes ;)
-
feedback 10/10 is the right way forward ;)
-
Or maybe instead of having a single rating you give a vendor, have a three part rating system. You rate the listing, communication and shipping of a vendor with one. Rate the product with the second. Then rate the packaging and shipping time with the third.
Each of these three can be out of 10, and then the final score will be a weighted average.

something similar to feedback ebay ?
-
you could give one vote to each item ... for example
shipping speed = rating from 1 to 10
packaging = rating from 1 to 10
description of the product = rating from 1 to 10
quality = rating from 1 to 10
communication = rating from 1 to 10
if the seller will take all 10, will have totaled 50 points, which would be 5/5
give an example :
shipping speed = 8
packaging = 9
description of the product = 7
quality = 8
communication = 8
the total is 40 ... which is equal to 4/5 .....
We give only the individual votes .... then the system will automatically do the calculation and give the final score...
What do you think? I really like this idea

I like the idea of separate rating categories but then how would the aggregate be applied to the vendor score? I think this has been brought up before. The seller would then have 5 different scores I guess...
Also I would nix the shipping rating. No one can really control the mail so if it get's rerouted etc and isn't the fault of the seller they shouldn't be penalized.
Also description of the product and quality is a little redundant, don't you think? Just my 2 cents

This idea is really fantastic I hope to be accepted by all

i dont know if changing the feedback system to 10/10 would help, but something defiantly needs to be changed about the feedback system

Yeah I reckon that would improve SR a tenfold, More honest description and way more detailed
-
I believe that this type of vote, more detailed, is good for everybody ... so we will have , sellers more precise in the description, and precise throughout the rest
-
I think there should just be a separate feedback for the vendor and for the product, so if the vendor was good and his product bad that would be shown.
-
the method of voting, must be completely changed ... because there are too many poor/mediocre sellers, who have very high percentage ..because it is too easy to get 4/5 or 5/5...then the % remains high....
Instead I believe that if a seller is mediocre / poor, and vote 5/10 or 6/10, then the % is significantly lower...
and when the seller sees her % ...coming to 70% or 69% ..... will do everything possible to be more precise, correct, and sell high quality products ...
because if its % is down ... the sales will be less and less..then the seller will have an incentive to sell high quality products, for to raise, his %...
-
I recently saw a feedback 5/5, saying:
5/5 : this lot is shit compared to the first batch, but the shipping and communication is good
This kind of feedback is wrong ... these feedbacks must disappear from SR...it is unthinkable that a product is crap,but you get 5/5 ...not good
in this case it could vote in this way :
1) shipping speed = 10
2) packaging = 8
3) description of the product = 4
4) quality = 3
5) communication = 10
total = 35
then the final feedback is : 3,5 / 5
This is a good feedback for this seller 3,5/5...
Instead he got 5/5....danneggiando the next buyer who sees a high feedback, but get shit stuff..
-
I think it should be combined, like ebay has:
The current rating system is pointless because people are either happy or not, so it's either 5/5 or 1/5
This should just be changed to:
Overall experience: positive/negative
This positive/negative is the only thing that applies to the vendors percentage rating. so if every review says positive then the vendor gets 100%.
In addition, there should be ratings for the other categories, either 1-5 or 1-10, so that even though you're really happy and don't want the vendor to take a percentage hit on his overall rating, you can still say that the packaging or the communication isn't as good as it could be.
-
The rating certainly need improvement.
Vendors expect 5/5 even when either service, or product isn't 5/5
You all don't deserve 5/5 all the time, sorry.
They feel if you get your stuff, and it's close enough 5/5, Well buyers don't.
It would be nice to have other options to improve vendors, and separate the truly good from the pack.
I'm getting pissed cause I see that not all the reviews are posted. >:(
I assume to save space, but you can't see older BAD reviews.
I would like to separate out good, and bad reviews.
It's being use to reset vendors bad ratings, and hiding the bad reviews. IE Mr Dank.
Any review of something let's say less than $10 doesn't count. Slows down dummy transactions.
Anyhow, this is just a buyers view.
It would be easy to be negative against SR admin, so how about a few positive changes for us buyers?
We paid for it.
-
Why not 1-100? why stop at 10?
:P

I like this idea, but maybe it's a little complex. What's nice about the current system is the simplicity, but its major drawback is that most people are finalizing early, giving 5/5, and not coming back, and that most people's reviews are just based on the fact that they got the product they ordered (which is important to know for the sake of becoming a trusted seller, but tells you nothing about the product).
I'd like to see maybe a split rating for service and the product. If you received the product you ordered, the seller was polite, the packaging was good etc. then you give the usual 5/5 for that, and a seller can be a trusted seller that you aren't afraid to buy from based on this like we have now.
But then there should also be a separate product review rating, either out of 5 or out of 10, with a box for comments. And I would hope that here people can be more honest rather than just giving out the automatic 5/5 that sellers need for their profiles.
When you look at a product you see the reviews for the product and the reviews for the seller underneath that, and can make an informed decision without the product and the seller being conflated into one uninformative rating.

It's definitely bizarre and unhelpful to see page after page of "5/5 finalizing early". Something should probably be done about that.

is much better to have a voting system more complicated ;).... that having a voting system as simple as it is now, and it's no use ... why put all 5/5 FE .... this thing is not good

I totally agree. I'm new and I've been lurking a few days trying to find an honest seller. The review system doesn't really inspire much trust. I look through the reviews and they're all 5/5, which I find unrealistic, but worst of all is people posting before trying out the product. It seems to me the responsibility lies on the buyers really, the reviews should be more detailed so you can get a real feel for the seller. Someone mentioned three separate scores that get combined. I agree with the separate scores, but I don't think they should get combined. If you ask me 10/10 communication, 10/10 shipping and 0/10 quality still warrants a 0.
Detailed reviews would also discourage phony self-reviews from sellers (I've seen a few really fake sounding). This leads me to suggest stats on the buyer should be shown as well, since a buyer with many purchases is more believable.
-
So why does it take so long to realize the system? It HAS TO BE DONE, definitely!
DPR has enough money to hire someone. I would do it. Where can I ask?
-
we all agree with the fact of changing the feedback score, but why SR not change?
-
Agreed, hate to see 'Leave feedback here' when checking out new vendors for reliability, I mean.. come on. It's not that hard to fill out a reviewbox after the package arrived. Help your fellow Roaders 8)
-
I think it is a good idea. 5/5 makes "little" problems seem bigger than they are under review. A 4/5 is a "bad" mark when it could of been a 8 or even 9/10 which looks completely different when someone else is reviewing.
-
Why is feedback anonymous? couldn't it be tied to your account for others to view?
-
While separate ratings for different categories (shipping, quality etc) is a great idea, I think the most important thing is reliability, and that should be the score displayed on the seller's profile like it is now.
Product ratings are for different individual products, period. Otherwise is just absurd - you can't rate a seller by one of their products, as it could affect their sells. A guy could be selling 3/10 schwag and 10/10 140% THC strain or something using the same account, which makes averaging the scores both irrelevant and harmless for the vendor.
so yeah, I agree the system needs to be changed, but just one small change isn't going to change anything.

This thread is stupid
