Hi,
I'm still very new to SR and trying to clear things up. Please correct me if I'm wrong. From what I understand the sellers price is set to dollars no matter what the BC value is right? And it's done automatically?
So for example "Seller A" is selling something for $200. If BCs are at ฿2 per dollar, that means his total will show at ฿100. If the next day, BCs increase in value to ฿5, the same item will sell for ฿40. Is that accurate?
I'm wondering because I've been watching an item, and it seems as though the dollar amount fluctuates a lot. The items started at around $250, and it's currently at $298.00
Thanks!

I noticed that too. But then again, the value of BTC on SR has been stuck at 2.61 when it's almost at 3 right now.

Yeah, but if the seller is selling something for $200 dollars, the BitCoins, no matter what value, should equal $200 right??

That would be correct. I found this on the seller's guide...
"You have two options when pricing your listings. They can be priced in constant Bitcoins, or constant US Dollars. All prices on the site are displayed in Bitcoins, but if you choose to peg your listings to the dollar, your prices will change dynamically in accordance with the exchange rate between the two currencies. When the Bitcoin appreciates, your prices will fall. When it depreciates, they will rise, so no matter what, you will get the same dollar value for your item. We recommend that you peg your prices to the dollar."

Ahhh shieeettt, BTC value just changed and the item I want to buy just rose another $37 :(
