Some of you may have already heard of this as the article I read on the topic is a couple months old but apparently the Pirate Bay is working on making GPS controlled server drones that would fly a couple km in the air and could move if needed to stay one step ahead of LE. Maybe Silk Road has been doing this all along but if not, it's a pretty neat idea!

This whole thread and article are completely stoned bullshit.
I don't even know where to start with my criticism, but let me tell you:
A) The Pirate Bay website doesn't magically 'fly' it is based in Sweden.
B) You can take the Pirate Bay offline by a simple DDOS attack (proving it is in Sweden on one single server) using hacking techniques developed in the 1970's: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2145461/Pirate-Bay-goes-offline-DDOS-attack-mystery-hacker.html

Please don't wind me up.
If you wanted to move a server from one place to another you simply have a second mirror server that activates when the first one gets taken out.
There are companies that provide this cheap, such as cloudflare. Now stop dreaming about 'flying servers'.

Lol I don't know one way or another but I thought the idea sounded cool. And I believe the article said it was just an idea in the works.
You are right about the whole thread being stoned bullshit though ;D
