Title: Yelp style rating distribution/trend
Post by: RNSTLE on October 14, 2012, 12:29 am
Go to any company's page on Yelp, preferably one with a high number of ratings.

Search the page for "Rating Distribution" and look at that graph.
Then click on the "Trend" link right next to it and look at that graph.

A graph like this for vendors would be nice, especially the Trend graph because it would show if there is a sudden drop in service.

Or, if that is too hard to code, display ratings as three numbers, like: ( 97% | 94% | 99% )
i.e. one week range, one month range, one year (or all time) range

A rating such as ( 76% | 92% | 97% ) would indicate that problems have very recently popped up with the vendor, whereas ( 99% | 76% | 96% ) would should that there have been some problems this month, but recently things are back to being smooth.
