Title: Nitroethane and Mercuric-(II)-chlorid
Post by: sauc1er on June 23, 2011, 01:52 pm
Access to these chems is heavily restricted and it got even harder with the beginning of 2011.
I wanna see some of this shipped from within the EU.

Nitroethane is here not restricted but due to terror bullshit it is hard to buy any lab grade chems since some years. And the police started to give a shit about laws and started to kill any private chemistry research where i live. This is even more laughable than the war on drugs.

same here, but for poisonous chems and known precursors you need to comply to certain terms, like showing your ID and having your sale recorded...

There used to be a shop waybackwhen in Germany that sold thing like Benzaldehyde, HgCl2, EtNO2, 2,5-DiMeO-BA, etc. for not really extreme prices... but you know how these things turn out.

You're a retard. If you really had any business with this chem getting your hands on it wouldn't even be an issue. Hell you can make it from hydrogen ethyl sulfate in a single reaction with sodium nitrite but you don't know shit about chem. Stop trolling, if you did get either you'd probably end up with mercury poisoning if you didn't die from the explosion you caused while botching the henry condensation.

fuckin n00bs

Interested in HgCl2 to US also. Dont really want to mess with that synth.

You could also use ethylamine as a precursor but that'd be a bit harsh :D

I can supply HgCl2. It's in my garage...

You're an idiot.  Anyone who can't make MgCl2 shouldn't even be wasting their time attempting what you're attempting

because no one in the history of humanity has ever made a typo, right?  Listen, I'm not the one who has no fucking clue how to put H2SO4 and Hg(0) (happy now?) in a flask with a stopper.  So I don't think you have much room to talk.

ketuvim, just stop posting.

...put H2SO4 and Hg(0) (happy now?) in a flask with a stopper...

Yeah, good luck with that.

I don't know why you're telling him to stop posting when he is telling you what to do...kind of. It really is that easy to make from completely unwatched chemicals. You just take mercury metal and heat it with H2SO4 (1:3 molar ratio) which ionizes the mercury (+2 like we need here) to create HgSO4. You add water and sulfuric acid reforms as well as solid HgO that will precipitate out. You filter out and neutralize. Add to a 15% solution of HCl and it will dissolve. You've just made HgCl2.

If you are using the Mercury salt to activate an Aluminum surface to prepare for a reduction I would like to tell you that there are better methods out there.  There is a nice method using Copper salt/NaCl and also a gallium/Al alloy would be very easy to make, just a bit expensive.  Gallium is inside of non mercury, metallic looking thermometers.  PM me for consulting.
