A good way to determine US postage for any mailing (domestic or international) is to find an APC (self service)machine in a post office.  Lay the mail on the scale and go through the automated steps that deteermine the correct postage.  Don't proceed to buy the postage there(paper trail + cameras) but rather use stamps you've bought for cash.
