Not every day I ask for a feature here (TBH I am pretty content with the site, although an API into SR would be nice ;)).
When a listing runs out in quantity, the listing's feedback becomes invisible to the public. This is a problem as it makes many buyers who have been asked to FE panic. It also allows untrustworthy vendors to hide feedback on listings by making them out of stock, which can aid in hiding their true motives.
Our bulk listings require FE (800USD+ items), and so when they become out stock many people PANIC. We have been countering this by keeping the listings up at 1000x the price to make them unaffordable. This is less then ideal as it clogs up search results and category listings with items that re clearly unbuyable/out of stock.
Would it possible to implement a feature where by customers can access old/out of stock listings and review feedback via links on a vendors profile page.
Willing to donate to getting this done if someone can do it. I imagine it's not very hard!
Thanks

hi hi
feedback for out of stock orders still shows on the vendor profile page at the bottom. that is feedback for all items that were ever purchased, regardless of current quantity. at least, that's how it appears to work on my vendor page...
trying to click on to the item in question, if it has zero quantity, will result in a "item not listed" error page. however that feedback is still visible on profile.

Missbliss, the only problem with this is that for vendors that receive a lot of feedback, negative feedback for certain expensive items ends up hidden in between lots of positive feedback for cheaper items.
Being able to access historical feedback for specific items in an easy way removes this.

many vendors make the listing 'stealth' when they receive bad feedback and the feedback is no longer visible. this needs to be addressed first

Hmmm once a listing is in stealth mode, buys who have already bought the item can still access the item via links in their purchase history. This means that customers who have already paid can still keep up to date with what's going on for such items.

... but buyers considering the purchase of some other expensive item still being listed are left in the dark.
