Fuck that place. I just found out they stole my bitcoins and my litecoins.

It is up and running at the moment. Lots of threads on the subject with some posting a phising site addy.
Not sure what the fuss is all about. who gives a fuck, as long as SR is here no other competitor will be able to really compete. It is the first & best by a lnog way.
This was just posted on their site, so it seems it is bye bye, it might be some scam or something, you would of thought this type of announcement would of come from Vladimir or what ever his name is, Administrator sounds dodgy to me!!

Dear all users,
We have some terrible news. Regrettably it has come time for Atlantis to close its doors. Due to security reasons outside of our control we have no choice but to cease operation of the Atlantis marketplace. Believe us when we say we wouldn't be doing this if it weren't 100% necessary.
Due to the urgency we are allowing all users to withdrawal all their coins for one week before the site, and forum, are shut down permanently. Please remove all of your coins, these will not be recoverable after one week from now. Anything remaining in your accounts will be donated to a drug related charity of our choosing.
We wish to thank all of you for making Atlantis a great and memorable place to trade on. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Best wishes,
The Atlantis team

Should we be concerned about ATL being a canary in the coalmine?
-
You sure you didn't enter your info into a phishing site? I've never fucked with Atlantis, primarily for that reason. I think there are a bunch of sites that look identical.
edit: oh damn nevermind. They straight up closed and took everyone's coins?

Figures, everyone here said that SR was the best and it is. Fuck the man and fuck the scams.

The police can find plenty of bold faced in your face dealing happening on clearnet forums.
I still buy off a few stealth clearnet sites, they sell one thing, but really its another!
I like Silk Road as its a bigger slection but prefered the early days of online sites when individual dealers would sell al the things we see here, but with each specialising in certain products. Coke was 120 pound for an 8 ball of fire!
As for Atlantis, putting up a youtube video seems a bit over the top. Selling drugs and putting two fingers up whilst doing it is not a wise move. The police love all these kiddy gangster who have no job and a 30K car. Makes it easy to ID who is up to no good!
Same with online sites, the loud ones are the most likely to piss off some intelligent cop who is tech savvy and who could easily set up an op (if they could get the funds) to bring down most sites, just by setting up fake vendor accounts, and making purchases then tiangulating the location of the outgoing mail.
Most cops do not care about SR because its quiet, not on facebook, and generally we do peaceful transaction, with no body count, no street corner dealing and no crowds knocking at doors disturbing neighbours and attracting attention.
You could argue SR keeps crime rates down.
Makes it 100% safe for the buyer, but in real life, there is always more danger of actual injury.

I had heard of Silk Road but no one I knew could give me any information on how to find it. Atlantis' media blitz led me to the dark web to Atlantis first and then to Silk Road. I made a number of purchases on Atlantis and set up an account on Silk Road to be able to explore its offerings. Somewhere in my exploration I figured out that my purchases on Atlantis were being wasted. Everyone on Atlantis was a newbie. Stats weren't as important on Atantis as they are on Silk Road. I made the leap to Silk Road. This was easy to do because in the last days, AdventureTimeSupply pulled his listings and disappeared. I loved Atlantis and still do. It brought me here.
Bonus: AdventureTimeSupply made his first listings on the Road this morning. Yes!
