Hey, Just wondered how often this happens.
:-\
Today I received an order for 1 Gram of product, (what, or who from doesn't matter for the time being).
So, I inspected my stuff and then naturally I weighed it, as I always do.
0.96g
So I'm thinking, that's a bit annoying, but not the end of the world and certainly not going to affect my experience.
Still probably going to leave a 5/5 as long as the quality is good.
However.
Then I got to thinking, how often does this happen to people, because 0.04g is nothing really to me, but to a Vendor that is going to add up...
every 10 transactions, that's 400mg!
every 100 transactions 4 Grams!
every... You get the point.
So, I was wondering:
A. How many peeps actually weigh their stuff upon receipt?
B. How often are weights under by a few 10's of milligrams? (e.g. 0.03g)
C. At what point do you think: NO, this is just taking the piss now, I'm gonna complain/mark down..?
Especially considering the high price point for certain Gram measured items; Coke, Meth, Heroin, etc.
Repeated under weight shipments would make a nice bonus for an unscrupulous vendor.
Just curious as to how often this happens and other peoples experiences?
Cheers

.04 ? Really not much to worry about. Could be a mistake or scales on either end are not perfect.
-
Their scale is probably accurate to the gram .
They should invest in scales that are accurate to 0.01 which are quite cheap.
I wouldn't get upset about it, I doubt they are doing you over 0.04 grams.
-
It may of just been a mistake but I can see where you are coming from about the quantity adding up over many transactions. 0.04mg isn't much though and some scales aren't accurate enough. However, this is no excuse. People will catch on pretty quickly if he's making the grams light. I think most people weigh when they receive anything.
A. We always weigh our stuff upon receipt.
B. Luckily all of our purchases have been bang on or slightly over weight.
C. I would complain if it's your second purchase with the same vendor and both times they have been under by a few mg.

I don't think that happens that often. A lot of people weigh the stuff they receive and if it is over or under will post that.
I've got multiple (but cheap) scales down to 0.001g. I find that I need to tap the scale (both before the tare and after adding the item to be weighed) to get an accurate weight on any of the 3 scales. I usually place whatever I'm weighing on a small notecard and tare with the notecard. In addition to tapping, I'll remove the notecard/product from the scale and place it back onto the scale to ensure I'm getting a consistent reading.
My 0.001g scale came with 5g and 10g calibration weights that don't weight quite at 5g and 10g. The scale doesn't have instructions on how to recalibrate but I'm not super impressed with the quality of the calibration weights and not sure if I trust them anyway. It is pretty close regardless.

Thanks for the Input guys, as most of you have realized, I'm not particularly narked that my order was slightly off and it really doesn't mean that much to me personally, 40mg is fuck all really, unless your vaping DMT efficiently and then,.... Well I'm sure those who know, know....
Just wanted to gauge the reactions from others.
It's a shame though, because this is my first purchase from a relatively new vendor.
I'm still kinda new I guess, but not a novice 8 months in (~450+ coins spent, £3000-3500) no stranger to different vendors, and transactions.
But this is the first of nearly 40 transactions which was under...
If I was a new vendor, I'd be getting my accuracy spot on, but again, as a buyer I wouldn't be a little bitch over a few milligrams.
It's the bigger picture I wondered about.

Thanks man, I think you are right, Perhaps I'll order again and then make my mind up about this vendor.
Communication & Accuracy are right up there with how I personally rate a vendor, (price come a close third).
I don't mean that I individually scrutinise and rate out of 5 upon these scales.
These are personal opinions which I rarely voice, but which will affect my future purchases.
And the two are intertwined, if a Vendor advertises a certain specific about their product, that is the first point of communication.
If this does not add up when you receive your item, then my image of the quality of communication has been reduced along with my opinion of their accuracy.
I'm not going to loose sleep over mg's of anything, I've got better tings to worry about.
But as some one who bases opinion upon my own experiences rather than hearsay or conjecture.
The in-accuracy when measuring such a small amount detracts from the vendors overall competency to me.

40mg is a lot in regards to some of the stuff I buy. And I've never received less then I ordered, everything tends to be spot on or slightly over.
Is it possible that you just didn't clean out the bag properly? that can lose you a fair amount.

on the street a gram is 0.8 or sometimes 0.7
Had a discussion about that a few weeks back with a dealer when I got 0.8
Last year I once got only 0.6gr as a gram C, I got 0.2gr extra after complaning...still rip off I guess.

I've ordered from many vendors. I've notice some chronically weigh just under, some try to get it on point and some like SuperTrips always weigh over.
Examples of a small emount annoying me, I ordered 500mg of Methylone to try, I got 410mg... that was crap. I ordered 300mg of cocaine to try, I got 268mg.
Ones that didn't annoy me, I ordered 1g of MDA, I got 966mg. Ordered 5g of MDMA, I got 4.95g
Ones that should've. I ordered what I thought was 8oz of cannabis, I got 100g after trimmed. Apparently it was a typo and was supposed to be 4oz >.> Good vendor who is supposedly going to make up for it my next order.
tl;dr This is the road, I am very happy that I can find all that I can. We are a community and the more respect we give each other the more likely the quality and service will stay up. When the shit becomes overwhelming, I'm sure I would've left before anger starts creeping in.
