Title: importing pgp key with liberte
Post by: johnboygreen on June 14, 2012, 12:18 pm
I made a few purchases from SR without using liberte before i realized that windows kept a record of everything i did on my pc. I have since wised up and have scrubbed my hard disk with dban. I now have liberte up and running and feel much better about using the deepnet. My problem is i cant seem to figure out how to save a vendors pgp key as file so i can import it. when i wanted to import a key before i was using liberte this is what i would do.

1. Copy and paste to my notepad
2. Goto notepad and save key as a file
3. Import

Now with liberte i cant for the life of me figure out how to save the key as a file so i can import. I know this should be easy so could someone please explain to me what im missing. THanks

Hello mate, just learned this myself funnily enough; luckily the procedure is as simple as doing it in Windows:

1. Click "start" - Accessories - gedit
2. Paste in the Vendor's PGP - File - Save as - Documents in the "places" sidebar
3. Open GNU as usual - click import - click documents in the places side bar - open.

Just a matter of using gedit (linux version of notepad) - let me know if you have any queries etc
