Hi guys.
I want to alternate between mdma (once each 2 months or so) an some other drugs.
So, please, could you tell me what drugs doesnt touch my serotonine receptors (want to save those for mdma).
Thanks!
-
Lots. Ketamine and related compounds. Cannabis. Opiates, but I don't recommend. Benzodiazepines.
Also, there are compounds that work on your serotonin receptors but are not believed to have any cross tolerance with MDMA, such as the phenethylamine and tryptamine psychedelics. Also, cocaine.
Compounds to avoid would be MDA, methylone and mephedrone, as either of these is likely to have cross tolerance issues with MDMA.

I'm not so sure about coke not affecting your serotonine...
but DMT (especially taken as ayahuasca) seems to have a "positive" effect on serotonine, so you might wanna look into that...
-
DMT is a serotonin receptor agonist, but I would not expect it to have any effect on MDMA tolerance, because it's not a serotonin releaser. Cocaine is a triple reuptake inhibitor, so it inhibits reuptake of serotonin. Again, I wouldn't expect cocaine to have any effect on MDMA tolerance.

it'd be easier for me to list all the drugs that DO affect serotonin...
5-HT1A Agonists
Selective (for 5-HT1A over other 5-HT receptors)
Cannabidiol (Unknown potency and efficacy)
F-15,599 (Research compound, highly potent and selective for 5-HT1A)
Flesinoxan (Potent, EC50 =24nM)
Gepirone (Partial agonist, Ki = 70nM)
Ipsapirone (Partial agonist, Ki=12.1nM. Has antidepressant and anxiolytic properties)
Trazodone (SARI Selective in the sense that on all other 5-HT receptors it acts as either an antagonist or has no action. Kd=78nM)
Yohimbine (Unselective partial agonist, moderate affinity. All other sites are antagonized. An Indole alkaloid, used to treat sexual dysfunction)
Tandospirone (Potent and selective partial agonist. Ki =27 ± 5 nM Anxiolytic and antidepressant)
Nonselective
5-CT (Potent - Ki =250 ± 50pM)
8-OH-DPAT (Potent, almost selective (some affinity for 5-HT7, SERT and as a serotonin releasing agent))
Aripiprazole (Atypical antipsychotic.)
Buspirone[33] (Partial agonist, IA = 0.465. Anxiolytic and antidepressant)[33]
Ziprasidone (Atypical antipsychotic. Partial agonist - Ki=3.4nM)
