Hi ppl...
I hope this is the right forum for this kind of questions.. My initial amazement by SR is kind of fading because it's clear that I'm in some technical maze right now,...
Wanted to pay for some goods on SR... OK, so I needed my PIN which I don't know, but why? I'm almost 100% sure I was never asked for one because I really carefully registered and I am always thinking of my passwords and I'm disciplined about it...
So the site goes like, "Don't know the PIN? no problem, make 5 false guesses and new one will be sent to your email", and I did it but guess what - email does not arrive for 24 hrs now.
Furthermore, I can't read SR's message subjected "DO NOT DELETE THIS MESSAGE: PIN RESET" from "messages" facility. I can only read it from "contact us", and I replied to it, but no one replies back for I think too long now...
So right now I just don't know how to use funds I have on my account, please help.
BTW, left menus is sometimes loading, sometimes don't. Using latest Tor browser bundle.

The PIN is chosen when you make your account, right after choosing your password. You probably didn't know what it was for, and promptly forgot it. I don't know why the email is not arriving; it'd be cool if you informed the SR crew if it doesn't show up soon. Since you haven't yet made any purchases (and therefore won't be losing any reputation), you can just make a new account and go from there. If you don't want to lose the specific name you've chosen...well, you'll have to find out the PIN somehow, I guess! Good luck.

I read the following in another thread today:
You have to wait 7 days to get a PIN Reset
I'm unsure why it takes so long, but you'll have to either wait a week, or do as suggested above and make a new account. That kind of sucks...
