Ok I am going to throw this out there because it has happened to me and others and it is very frustrating. Scenario is this: Buyer purchases a listing from a vendor (in my case it has been on a monday mostly) and buyer sends vendor a PM just confirming the order so both buyer and seller on the same page. However the vendor does not respond to that PM or any subsequent PM's and all the while the buyer's money is tied up in escrow and the order sits in "processing" status. Yet during this time, the vendors page shows that they have been last seen everyday since buyer placed order AND the vendor has not answered buyers PM. The idea here is that if a buyer plans ahead enough to order their desired listing early enough in the week so that they can receive it that same week, but the vendor ordered from is not responding or sending the purchase, at least the buyer would be able to get their money out of escrow and go to a different vendor and still receive their desired product in that week. Does this sound reasonable to anyone?

i posted about something similar, however the vendor has logged in once within the 4 days and marked as in transit.. but hasn't.. now i have to wait what seems like an eternity... 11 or 12 days till it goes into resolution..
what the fuck happens then? my stats get fucked.. and maybe i wont get my money back?.. no doubt ill lose somehing due to the hedged unhedged shit...
s/r gets their cut still?
fuck off... we should be compensated not only refunded?
someone chime in and teach me about systems that are in place.
i am the buyer, without the buyer, no sellers.. no buyers or sellers, no 'silk road internet money' for whoever is making what must be a fortune off this marketplace...
stay safe, and love one another

Sounds completely reasonable. I think there should be a cancel order straight off, because if you change your mind after an hour after you order, in the middle of the night (or even the day) you should be able to cancel it and it wouldn't really have a negative impact on anyway.
But if nobody like the idea of cancellation option right away (it shows up but you can't click on it...) I definitely agree that if a seller hasn't marked your order "in transit" and isn't responding at all after a couple (1-2) business days you should be able to cancel.
But why can't we cancel straight away anyway? I don't get that. It seems like it would do more harm to wait the few days.. 4 days is a long time to wait to see if they are going to send your package, unless you ordered on Thursday..

If you go through the process of moving BTC in, finding a product you want, following through the transaction process.. you should have already made your mind up that you want the item.

arpeggi, you should complete your negotiations with the vendor before buying an item. No new feature is needed for that.
Vendors have no obligation to send your goods instantly, they are given 4 days.
