Title: Setting up on mac
Post by: pinkunicorns42 on August 22, 2012, 08:49 pm
I am new to SR and have been reading around and it sounds like SR is better to use and everything with a windows computer. Unfortunately I am using a mac. So I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction on how to get everything set up for a mac user. I have tor set up but that is about it. Little help if possible TIA

I noticed that but they are scattered throughout and about different things. I was just trying to see if it was possible to get all the information into one thread or if there is already one if I missed it. It said 10 mins because I just now registered.

Who said windows is "safer"? I think it just may be a matter of more people use windows (we all know that)

Any OS is as safe as you set it up to be. For starters:

Install TrueCrypt and learn how to use a hidden volume.
Install GPG Toolchain (for all your PGP needs)
Install Tor Browser bundle......

Store as much as you can on a True Crypt Hidden volume.

OS aside and VPN is always a nice addition to security.
