Title: Anonymous VPN?
Post by: nanpa2001 on December 19, 2012, 04:18 pm
Does anyone know of an anonymous paid VPN service that doesn't require details? I want an additional layer of security so that my ISP does not know that I am using TOR.

privateinternetaccess.com

No traffic logging. Has endpoints all over USA, EU, and Asia. Accepts payment in bitcoin with nothing required more than an email for the receipt. Supports OpenVPN, IPSEC, L2TP, and PPTP VPN protocols. Uses dynamic IPs instead of static that rotate at randomly decided intervals to further anonymize your traffic. Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iPhone. Full Gigabit Bandwidth through VPN ports. Optional Socks5 Only Proxy (to keep regular traffic unencrypted). Cost is currently $40/year.

Are paysafe an ukash absolutely anonymous? As much as bitrcoins? Cause there are quite a few VPNs that accept bitcoins.

Thanks both of you for your answers.

technically bitcoins are not anonymous at all, cause all transactions are publicly recorded ;) (I hope you are aware of that.. see https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Anonymity )
Go to your convenience store of choice and buy your paysafe card in cash and it's all fine. when u buy your vpn use tor or a public hotspot.

then the only weak link is if your vpn provider is keeping logs of your home ip you're using it from. most of them don't log since that is part of their product after all ;) just be careful when you choose your provider, read all the small print and if in doubt ask the support. good luck :)

I am aware. I am also aware that you must mix the coins thoroughly to make them anonymous. They will we untraceable.

While it is true that Bitcoins themselves are not anonymous the identify of the Bitcoin user is anonymous, assuming that proper procedures have been followed. Just trying to clarify this before someone misinterprets it and begins spreading FUD.

Mullvad is another anonymous VPN (BTC accepted payment, don't keep logs, etc.)
