Title: Silk Road regional
Post by: LordGonzo on September 30, 2011, 12:15 pm
Hi folks,

I don't know whether this has been discussed before, but did you ever think about something like "SR regional"? It's pretty much Silk Road Market combined with Geocaching. :D Instead of mailing your product, you hide it somewhere and mail the coordinates and hiding details to the buyer afterwards. This would obviously only work in highly populated areas but could be a better and faster alternative to mailing the product, especially for larger amounts or bulkier products. It would also be a lot safer for buyers who wouldn't have to meet a seller IRL.

So I'm looking forward to seeing SR L.A. or SR NYC or Silk Road Paris or whatever. :D

What do you think?

I think that what the Seller would basically be doing is telling the Buyer an exact location where the Seller will be able to be found within the next few hours/days, which means that if LE were buying the package, they would just stake out the spot that the Seller is supposed to be dropping off at.

Unless you paid other people to drop it off for you, and gave them instructions? Even if you did, police could intercept that guy, and then try to find some way to trace it back to the Seller.

well, if youre in LA, and mail something to someone in LA, it will most likely get there the next day.

so i mean, that would be a more secure option. having to go and physically pick up your stuff from a dropspot is WAY sketchy and a LEO's dream.

you have no plausible deniablity that way.

the mail system works bro, its for our safety. and if you really needed your stuff you could overnight ship it and pay extra.

you could be a cool guy, but that sounds like some good ol johnny law would say...

you LEO bro?? hahaha
