Just wondering if anyone here has songs or tunes that they associate with SR?
This Johnny Cash track - Wanted Man - always reminds me of DPR

Strychnine by the Sonics and later covered by The Cramps.
Some folks like water
Some folks like wine
But I like the taste
Of straight strychnine (hey, hey)
You may think it's funny
That I like this stuff
But once you've tried it
You can't get enough (Wow!)
Wine is red
Poison is blue
Strychnine is good
For what is ailin' you
If you listen to what I say
You will try strychnine some day
Make you jump, it'll make you shout
It'll even knock you out

I was thinking a theme from 'Princess Bride', but I actually think the theme from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' would be better!
Or maybe the song from the the beginning of the third Pirates film, Hoist the Colours:
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
The King and his men stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her bones
The seas be ours and by the powers
Where we will...we'll roam
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never say we die
Some men have died and some are alive
And others sail on the sea
With the keys to the cage
And the devil to pay
We lay to Fiddler's Green!
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
The bell has been raised from its watery grave
Do you hear its sepulchral tone?
A Call to all, pay heed to the squall
And turn your sail towards home!
Yo, Ho haul together, hoist the colours high
Heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die

A bit morbid perhaps, but properly defiant!

Or, if we wanna go modern, then there is none so good as The Prodigy 'Their Law' - "what we are dealing with here is a total lack of respect for the law"

Nice choice!
I was thinking a theme from 'Princess Bride',
That'd be "Storybook Love" by Mark Knopfler
Come my love, I'll tell you a tale
Of a boy and girl and their love story
And how he loved her oh so much
And all the charms she did possess
Now this did happen Once upon a time
When things were not so complex
And how he worshipped the ground she walked
And when he looked in her eyes he became obsessed
My love is like a storybook story
But it's as real as the feelings I feel
My love is like a storybook story
But it's as real as the feelings I feel
It's as real as the feelings I feel
This love was stronger than the powers so dark
A prince could have within his kingdom
His spells to weaken and steal a heart
Within her breast but only sleeping
My love is like a storybook story...
He said "Don't you know I love you oh so much
And lay my heart at the foot of your dress?"
She said "Don't you know that storybook loves
Always have a happy ending?"
Then he swooped her up just like in the books
And on his stallion they rode away
My love is like a storybook story...

Definitely Daft Punk's "Instant Crush" from the new album, cause this was what I was listening to a lot over the last couple months while browsing and reading the forums
takes me right back to my first orders

Some vendor on here actually wrote and uploaded a track they created about SR to Youtube.

That's clearnet. Pretty sure I heard it on YouTube. It had a manga type background though.
Before we set out, I should probably explain
Where we are going, it aint a street or a lane
It's cool and it's lame this revolutionary game
And once you start playin, lifes just never the same again
You wish it went a little faster than quick dry cement
I gave up rice for lent, working in Asia with
*distorted* Chinese men, with skills to rent,
Cos Ruples are in
Forget the pounds and pence and
Give me a hollar when the Bitcoin turns
All the fences to hedges
Growin plants in the sills and all the ledges
Living life at the edges, cos danger it led us
Fuck it. Someone else can transcribe.

When ever the road is down for maintenance i start singing Willie Nelson on the Road Again, and if i start singing that it will always lead on to me doing a fine rendition of Roy Rogers Dont Fence Me In.

I can see DPR living life to theme tune from The Littlest Hobo (in the nicest possible way :))

This is great, a theme song for the SR. Sometimes I hear the Jeopardy theme in my head when waiting for TOR to connect, sometimes its the theme from Squidbillies.
However, as I am an old skool punk raver, it would probably be more appropriate to have a theme with a heavy driving bass line that was danceable.
I play music for the most part when I am online. What strikes me as a very appropriate theme song is by KODE IV, "Possessed".
"money, sex, drugs, the devil, I am possessed". I am also rather partial to Pink Floyd's "Money", as a potential theme song.

Well, if it's that route I am partial to Cut & Run - "In For the Pill" remix of the remix or La Roux. Awesome bassline only a notch above brown-noise ;-)

I really like the suggestion with the elevator and jeopardy music. It would be wonderfully bizarre if the SR main page would play something like jeopardy music on one day every year.
This defines SR pretty much for me after 2 months. (With knowing about bitcoin and through that about SR but not using it for about 1 1/2 yr.
I first heard about bitcoins and was really interested in the system and got into the subject for a few days, then months later i read some article mentioning bitcoins and SR, that made the connection but as i said i was not using SR for about 1 1/2 yr. after i found out it existed.)
I don't believe it
I had to see it
I came back haunted
I said goodbye but I
I had to try
I came back haunted
The entire lyrics are fitting for me.

The throat is deep and the mouth is wide (MDMA Knallerbsen™)
Saw some things on the other side (CANNABIS MDMA LSD)
Made me promise to never tell (:x)
But you know me, I can't help myself (look what i got, MDMAZING white shards, beautiful quality)
Now I've got something you have to seee (Hofmann called it his L.S.Deee.)
They put something inside of me (those wonderful sellers here)
The smile is red and its eyes are black (dilated pupils)
I don't think I'll be coming back
I don't believe it (still exists)
I had to see it (because it's so fucking beautiful)
I came back haunted (the 2013 that's the way it has to be done vibe)
I said goodbye but I (i said goodbye to the possibility of me acquiring high quality products in the sector of cannabis and of getting MDMA at all anytime in the future, then SR came...
I had to try (and i)
I came back haunted (from the idea, the whole concept, and then later from the possibility of buying LSD)
Everywhere now reminding me
I am not who I used to be
I'm afraid this has just begun
Consequences for what I've done, yeah
I don't believe it
I had to see it
I came back, I came back haunted
I said goodbye but I
I had to try
I came back, I came back haunted
Just can't
Stop (ordering in the place above the candy store)

I went to the radio interview,
but I ended up alone
at the microphone,
I went to the radio interview,
but I ended up alone
at the microphone.
Now I'm livin'
out here on the beach,
but those seagulls are
still out of reach.
I went to the radio interview,
but I ended up alone
at the microphone.
