Ok, I am freaking out right now. Have been working on my vendor account all week, tweaking listings, doing research to try and be as competitive as possible and build my initial customer base, now suddenly my password is not working on my vendor account. I pay close attention to make sure the URL is correct every time, I use a secure torbrowser, have all passwords written down (and memorized at this point) and I have been logged on to my vendor account all day. I got my first order today and I am processing it and now all of the sudden I cannot get in to my account. IS there anyone I can contact for help? Has this happened to anyone else? What is going on here?

Get out of TOR and use a New Identity.. then re start TOR and try again.
Make sure you're putting in your PW correctly.. and the phrase is going in right,
One fuck up on the phrase compromises the whole log in.

is the captchka always the same? it might help when you go to the login page and hit ctr+F5. It'll reload the page, then you can try again.
That was worrying me for a LONG time! but it was with making orders. I often(since the first time) have to reload a page in the forum or on the main site if i've been to it before in that session and i want any changes i have made to show up.
Hope that makes sense. :)

thanks for replies. Restarted my comp / vm , open tor, tried again and it works. Whew. not sure what happened there. I had entered the wrong password probably half of the time , but I know for a fact I entered it correctly the other half so not sure what went on there. I really think there should be some kind of support or backup plan in case our accounts get jacked or something. Maybe a "forgot password" link where it sends us an email. Because in that instance the hacker would then have to know the pw to the email as well.

Honestly, ISP's work with authorities as do email providers. I don't think that's a great idea.
I think you just need to decide on a password you can easily remember(while still being difficult to guess/bruteforce). It shouldn't be terribly difficult to remember it though because it's a rather important password. :P

I am not talking about in the instance of someone bruteforcing the password or losing/forgetting it. I am talking about if somehow either SR is compromised or our machine is compromised , etc.

Or.. just use a bogus email.. and never be compromised. :)
Haha.. if only it were that easy.
