Title: Yet another boot-from-USB post
Post by: BigScrote on June 27, 2012, 01:14 am
I've tried to hold off posting this by looking at old topics, but I can't really find an answer.

I have no experience with Linux - is that the OS needed to run Tails? I saw Vlad's thread and it mentioned Linux or Windows, but I keep seeing Tails Linux Live CD or something like that.

I have a USB. I downloaded the Tails ISO (for both Linux and Windows). Once I burn to DVD and verify the ISO image, should I be using the Linux version or the Windows version? I ask this because I saw that in order to install the program, it has to be booted from another device (not the USB itself), and I don't have a Linux machine.

Does the Tails program come with the TOR browser? Or do I have to install that separately (as it seems I'd have to do with Liberte)?

What about PGP? Do I install GPA on the USB device?

Sorry for all the questions - much love to anyone who can point this noob in the right direction.

it may look a bit confusing, but it is not actually. you no need Linux computer to run and install Tayls or Liberte Linux. Liberte install very simple, copy Liberte folder to USB pen drive, run setup.but once, done, you can book and you can work on TOR and everything is there including PGP and it works stable, no BS, no updates.

read this tread few times and you can do it

Thanks Charas! I'm still not there - can't quite figure out the Verification key on Tails and whether I should use Windows or Linux. CAn I save things onto the USB like URLs and what not?
