That was the first thing that came to my mind ^
But when I came to this thread I already didn't consider any listing that were obviously not "for real".
So I think your ultra beast land rover would still top it.

Yeah this is true, I don't think it should count if the listing isn't real. Land Rover is still number one....crisis averted... :D

I've decided that I might as well bring the beast over to SR as well as having it on TA. Nice to give it a bit more publicity. :)

Haha why do you say that mate?

And the total value of all BTC in circulation is about 40mil.

Not sure to be honest, where did find that out from? Sounds interesting. I can imagine you are right though because it would make no sense to have an unlimited amount because it would bring the value down considerably. Once the limit is hit though value will rise through the roof.

Found it while doing my original look up about SR/BTC all that stuff.

I believe it was designed to the opposite, to create enough coins to be in circulation to stop prices changing so rapidly, but im no finance expert im sure you could make more sense of this then me.

But currently there are people with GIANT rigs setup just to generate BTC they are making some nice money from it too :)

I can see why they would hope to do this however ultimately it's a bit of a poor strategy to stabilize currency fluctuation because when something is limited even to say 20Mil once that number is reached and there can be no more the price of said commodity will always rise because there will be no more to obtain. What will then happen is the price of say 1BTC will be become to high for anyone to be willing to pay for and buy to sell on a fluid basis. After this point the BTC will devalue and the market will crash because it will go from a vastly over-inflated value to worthless which is the nature of all market bubbles. The way to maintain the BTC is to allow a steady flow to be produced that wont destabilize the market value but keep the demand for more catered for.

If you look at the financial crisis of 2007/2008 you notice that economies that allowed wild speculation and over inflation of the property and debt market crumbled because of the same basic economic theory stated above but those that regulated and kept a stable level of inflation/national debt weren't hit nearly so hard. If you compare say, the U.K to Switzerland you can see the clear difference.

I think it could be more like a temporary cap, as in when it comes to it they will adjust how they will see fit, they have plenty of time so i doubt they will just sit there and let it burn

Yeah I agree 100%, if they did just cap it there then they would kill the system completely which of course they don't want to do because it will kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

That's crazy Limetless.
Question though... that must be a domestic listing, right?
What about VIN numbers and the like?  Seems awfully trackable.

there is a cap and it's 21 million btc, also the cap can't be adjusted

it's not really an issue since as the value of bitcoins goes up and circulation stays constant, people can just switch to using mBTC or uBTC as the de facto unit of currency

No it's international. I can put one anywhere in the world you like so long as you can pay for the commercial shipping (as in a container on a ship).

And no it's not traceable if you buy it with a false identity and have the ID numbers from the car parts machined off. In all honesty if you buy it under a false identity and ship it under a false identity it really doesn't matter about the ID numbers anyway, can just dump the identity and get another one. SIMPLES GANGSTERS! SIMPLES!

Oh and in answer to the other question, no I have access to as many as you like if you give me the time to source lol. :P
