Title: What the heck is a PIN?
Post by: c4nd3ym4n on December 13, 2012, 01:04 am
So I haven't been on silk road in about six months, and now when I try to order something it asks me for a pin. I assumed it was my password so I typed it in  and it said incorrect. Then I tried again  and I get the message "Error. Try logging in and out again".

Now I have 1 attempt left. What the heck is my PIN? What is a PIN? The sticky thread tells me nothing. How do I find it out?

It's the 4 digit number you were asked to make when you made your account. You can go into your account settings and reset it I believe. I dont know if it requires the old one to reset it or your pass word but once you reset it dont forget it cause you will need it every time you make a purchase or send someone coins.

I was never asked to set up a PIN. I created this account over a year ago...

Why is there nothing in the buyers guide or the wiki about this? I don't have seven days to wait because I'm leaving town.
