Title: BTC wallets
Post by: solus223 on April 11, 2012, 01:24 am
I'm sure this has been asked and answered a thousand times, but I don't see anything relative in the first two pages  ;D

After purchasing btcs on Mt. Gox, how do you transfer them to your SR wallet?  For the life of me I can't figure it out.  I see the wallet number on my SR account page, but don't see anything on Mt. Gox for moving my btcs.

You just click withdraw funds and paste in your bitcoin address.
Probably better if you sent it to your own wallet first, then sent to SR so there's no direct link though shouldn't really matter if you're just buying small amounts.

Well, I figured out what is up.  There is no withdraw option for me, but I discovered that I need to verify by scanning ID, bill, etc....

I must say, security, anonymity, liberty, it all takes time and effort!  But it is certainly worth it.

I am interested in a good website or a good downloadable wallet outside of MtGox. I have downloaded the bitcoin wallet that was linked on the official bitcoin page but it never did work properly. Plus I made two deposits into the wallet and both times the coins never showed up. I would love a good reliable wallet. Thanks

once you have made the withdrawal from MTGox how long does it take to appear in SR?

Do you HAVE to become verified on mt gox? Doesn't seem anonymous at all!...

You will have to if you try to log on to Mt. Gox over Tor and lock your account. Otherwise, no.

Like somebody else said elsewhere on the forums, MtGox reeks of LEO's.  Forget about any anonymity.  Also, Dwolla asked me for my friggin SSN AND an FB login (I don't even have and FB)  I avoid them both like the plague now.
