Title: password change doesnt work?

sup all, recently changedmy password due to hearing a lot of people getting hacked and stuff didnt want to fall victim, anyways i changed the password logged out, tried it again and it said login failed, tried old pass still said login failed.... contacted sr on a new account.. i hope with the new pin feature i can use that as a form of verification....

any one have any experience with this?

I'm having the exact same problem and I thought it was entirely my fault!  Well this is comforting at least.  I wouldn't be out much, but I will be unable to finalize some transactions if I can't get back in.  I'd hate to have it auto-finalize on the wonderful sellers I've dealt with so far.  Asbury was kind enough to advise contacting SR support, but I also sent a message to the SR admin on the forums just to be on the safe side.  Once again, very glad you made this thread!

There have been a lot of threads about accounts being hacked recently.  Do you think this might be the cause behind them?  My new password was really long, but I thought I was very precise.  I just assumed I screwed up somewhere along the way.

hey bros,  i doubt its anyone of your faults, what i did was copy the pass on notepad then pasted it... so its definately nothing with mistyped characters.... also i think it asks you to type the password twice...

im sure sr support will help us all out, as long as we provide the proof required...(which i searched on the forums here, seems people say they might need to see recent transaction history, and maybe send the pgp key on your profile....maybe they will allow it if we know the PIN as well, i hope so)

im not exacty sure what is the cause of this, what i can tell you guys is oncei changed my pass, i logged out right away, then triedit again and it did work...just was double checking.... then i logged out again, for a hour or so, tried to log in and failed....

really hope you guys get messaged/fixed up back to your accounts, i will update this topic when i get a response from sr support for sure! hope you guys do too, im curious as to whats going on....

I changed both of my passwords at the same time so I wouldn't even be able to say that for sure.  Luckily though, I did set up a backup BTC wallet in my settings and I'm pretty well aware of my transaction history.  Best of luck to both of you definitely.  Should you make a topic warning others about changing their password for the moment?

rocky: Just create a new SR account then go to the bottom of the page and look for the Contact Us link.

i have done but get no rely i was sellin btc coin and i had allot on my account im just worried

That sucks, man.  I contacted them earlier today as well.  It is the weekend so we can't be too impatient.  I'll definitely update here when I get to talk to support.

@rocky- they usually take a day or two to answer, we should get a response soon bro.... i feel your pain, i had a lot of btc on escrow... im confident though that everything will be ok...

@prime eight- good job on the backup btc wallet, i think you will be good to go without the pin.... i was just taking a wild guess that maybe the pin had a secondary use....from what i read they said you may need to use the pgp key on your profile to encrypt and send messages to sr (but im not sure about  those who dont have it on there profile) ..... ty bro good luck to you as well..

got in touch with the sr then they stop messageing me getting pissed off now as i have been up all night

The only thing that sucks for me is that all of my orders came in, but now I can't finalize for the seller.  If some admin sees this and has the time, please finalize the order in my account.
