Title: Bitinstant question...
Post by: titsmcgee123 on May 28, 2013, 06:01 am
so I used to use Mtgox but since all the shady shit they are in Im looking for a new provider. anyway, I have money coming into my dwolla account.. Now if i go to bitinstand(using tor) and select dwolla ---> to bitcoin address and put in my SR address, will the BTC go straight into my account, or would I need a different wallet per say?

Why not just go Bitinstant -> Silk Road address. I wouldn't go through Dwolla after that shakedown last week plus don't they charge a % for transfering? If your a small time buyer there's need for that.

You can use bitinstant to transfer from dwolla to a btc address.  If you use your SR btc address then it will drop the coin right into your SR account.  However I think most people like to do bitinstant to another wallet before transferring to SR.

I know its anonymous but I rather not give out a btc address I associate with illicit goods.   Its just my extra paranoia but I like going through at least 1 other wallet before transferring into SR and I make sure that wallet has some kind of fog or tumbler to mask my transfers as much as possible.

It's a good rule to live by I'm just a cheap ass sometimes, lol.. nothing wrong with being paranoid.

@Miah, o yeah I am really paranoid, the type of person I am seems to attract the attentions of those with very dull axes to grind.

If you want to transfer directly to your SR BTC address you can always regularly change your address from the account page.  It would help ease my paranoia, lol.
