Title: Feedback for BTC Buddy - Moneypack for BTC
Post by: ocfan_1 on September 21, 2011, 02:07 am
There is a new vendor that is taking moneypack for BTC's (his name is BTC Buddy)... and it was an amazing experience.  He must live on SR (not bashing him-it is great for an anxious guy like me) because I asked for clarification, went to the store, sent him the numbers, and bam... all within 15 minutes!  I think his rates are reasonable.  I am sure there are scammers out there, but this guy is legit.  Also, he was referred to me by a VERY highly respected vendor that everyone knows.  So, I wanted to start this feedback for him and get his name out there if your needing some quick BTC's.   And thank you to the vendor that referred me to BTC Buddy.  I am not going to mention his name just because Im not sure if he wants it out there, but trust me... he is well respected.

I just used BTC Buddy while waiting on Borneo to reorganize and it was great. Just a few minutes and I had my BTC.

This isn't meant as a dig against Borneo at all; just needed funds quickly and discovered this guy as a result... actually, its nice to have more than one non-scam MoneyPak exchanger on SR. :)

I recommend the preferred exchangers, Borneo and BTC Buddy.  In a pinch, I'm also able to exchange a maximum of $100 in bitcoins. Check my profile page for daily updates.

BTC Buddy takes his listings down when he is low on BTC. Just the right thing to do, I guess. When he is up, just about any amount is doable.

I am very glad to hear everything is going well.

Alright fellas, this guy is a straight-up stud. First off, he hung with me over the span of three days while my dumb ass bumbled around trying to figure out moneypak. Second, he replied to all my messages within about an hour, usually faster. Third, the FEES! Oh god, the FEES! Can you say COMPLETELY REASONABLE as fuck?! Because goddamn, that's exactly what they are. When I finally figured everything out, he got me taken care of in a flash.

BTC Buddy is my knight in shining armor, me and him are BTC BFF's. This will be my first transaction of many. <3

He is quick, reliable and friendly.

On the contrary, I think his fees are quite high...but for some, the quick service is worth it.

IE; I want to exchange $100 for BTC, I get 75 back.  25 dollars is a big chunk from 100.  Just my opinion.

@b0lixtrader - I agree. He's very upfront about them, so its obviously our choice to use the service, but they are really high. I don't like that there is a percentage cut and a flat fee. Why not just pick one? I bought two $500 MPs, then I exchanged them. Well my fee was $20 and then I had 5% taken out. I ended up receiving $930 worth of BTC. That''s $70 to BTC Buddy. That profit margin is HUGE.

Still, all around, as I said earlier in this thread, he's a great exchanger, upfront, communicates well, and is EXTREMELY fast. If the market demands it, his prices will lower.

it's hard to do a flat rate when the price of BTC varies so wildly sometimes. I have a sliding scale, so you pay less the more you trade. I think that's fair.

Really? He only took 33 bucks from my $325. Guess you just gotta hit the sweet spot.

Hmm well I guess the less you exchange the fee is higher obviously.

However, I hope he lowers his exchange fee soon.

I lost quite a bit just due to fees but that's business.

Only if Borneo wasn't so busy all the time =/
