Title: Google Equivalent
Post by: weok83r8fd on July 02, 2013, 10:55 pm
I'm trying to be self-sufficient but I can't figure out how since google won't explain it and I don't know how to search for anything here (the search feature is very weak).

I'm trying to get a lot of the knowledge on guides and passages from people but when I search it takes me back to the normal web.  Is there a way to do searches that stay isolated to the good stuff?

Thanks

What subject are you trying to find? You can type your search keywords in the search box here in the forum. I always find similar topic to my questions that way.

If you want to search a certain website, you can just google
site:www.google.com
Replace google with whatever site you want.

Google search is far superior then any search on any site, if you want to search a tor site, just put .to after the .onion

I tried figuring some stuff out on my own and came to a possible conclusion that the onion network isn't as information rich as I thought maybe it was initially.  Am I wrong?

I found TORCH and the abyss but they didn't seem particularly powerful.
