This is question has been on my mind for quite a while, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has wondered the answers to this here ;) As children our parents constantly warn us how bad drugs are, and we have been straight up misinformed by anti drug critics propaganda attempting to make us want to avoid drugs for the rest of our lives. One of the worst and most widespread myths is the ill-informed stereotype, all recreational drug users are wastes of space, stupid, and unintelligent, despite in most cases there's a total sheer lack of evidence to this statement being true. Another example of this, all recreational drug users are a risk to society, a risk to one another, and are unjustly deemed to be 'lazy useless scum of the earth'. In history, for example, the use of cocaine and marijuana for both medical and recreational purposes was legal, accepted, and widespread. What are the beginnings of why, where, and when these slanderous stereotypes and mendacious myths of recreational drug users originate from? Please discuss :)

It started when the recreational drug users became confused with the addicted drug users :)
