Title: Archived Bitcoin address
Post by: optical1 on August 29, 2013, 07:02 pm
Just recieved this message from SR Admin:

You have recently used an archived Bitcoin address (***************) to deposit ***** BTC to your account. This address could be retired at any time. It is strongly advised that you use a new bitcoin address for future deposits.

Best regards,
Silk Road staff

I was under the impression that BTC Address's never expire etc... can anyone explain what this means? That i need to change add asap as its about to expire? Thanks :)

Received the same message just now. I'm wondering if I use the create a new bitcoin address link in the account settings...will my BTC still be safe while doing so? I dont want to have to move it out and then create a new address and put it back in.

Same here guys. I got the very same message this afternoon. Mind you it has been a while since I used it. I've grabbed a new address with no issues anyway.
