Title: 7 or 9 day auto-finalization on domestic orders
Post by: SpiritDoor on December 02, 2012, 12:16 am
I am sick and tired of having to wait 17 days to get my money on domestic packages that i can see were delivered , via the DCN, about 4 days after the order was placed!   it should auto-finalize after 7 or 9 days.  Now  that means at least 10 or 12 days of sitting here waiting for NO REASON!   Easy to program the ordering system to recognize domestic from international shipments without needing the actual name or full shipping address,  just need to know domestic -to-domestic or not!     Other Vendors agree????    These customers are DRUGGIES man, they are strung out  can't remember to finalize!!!    LOL

I think nine days is too short, I think ten or twelve days would be OK.

What if the vendor and buyer are both 'undeclared'?
Good point, Eris. I guess if there's a way to implement a shorter wait time just for cases when both buyer and seller are in the same country, then it could work.

I'm 1000% behind goblins idea, in fact I came here to post this when I saw this already here.

I have, at any given time, dozens of domestic shipments that I can have already been delivered (confirmed via DCN) but have yet to be finalized. I wish I could specify an alternate "escrow contract" for these domestic shipments somehow to ensure they auto finalize much faster than 17 days.

I wouldn't to be honest. I have an order sitting in escrow now with 5 or 6 days left (id have to look), and I haven't received it yet, it is also xmas time so the mail may slow down a bit, hence why I'm not worried.

Simple. If one or both are "undeclared" then it defaults back to the longer period, perhaps with a weight on the vendor's side as a vendor is allowed to (effectively) declare that they only ship domestically.
