Title: Security Breach?
Post by: SecurityBreach on April 10, 2012, 09:18 am
After downloading from a link i received through SR, sensitive information that was once deleted had been restored and my adobe programs go missing. I will seize further interaction with SR till I know what the fuck just happened. only to check this posting.

I assume you bought digital items and then downloaded through a link right?
Otherwise don't click on any suspicious links here obviously

If you plug in a USB drive, often you think you've deleted something but it doesn't delete.. then magically appears in your Trash once you plug it back in again.

right, adobe files gone, and old messages back. The only explanation could be it getting "magically" restored. more input needed!

AFAIK, SR has been having some backend server issues so you're not in any danger. This isn't a security breach as much as a bug.

This is what you're doing wrong. Always boot with Tails, use Tor, and go offline before opening something you have downloaded from a site such as Silk Road.
