Title: Vendor Cancellation
Post by: GetOutCuntFace on July 20, 2013, 05:22 am
So I placed an order the other day for some pills only to find out the next day that the order has been inexplicably cancelled by the vendor, Ukdoctor(100). Vendor seems reputable with good feedback however has only been a member for a month.

My stats are pretty good:
Member for: 1 year | Transactions: 93 | Total spent: 177btc | Refund rate: 0 | Auto-Finalize: 0

I have never had this before so guess I am really just asking has the same happened to anyone else with this vendor?

I have tried to message the vendor and have seen that he has read the message yet have received no reply. My main concern is that he is now in poessesion of address details yet I have no product.

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum section.

Cheers,
CuntFace

Could be 100 other reasons your order was cancelled. Maybe he didn't like your name. (I have cancelled orders because of someones goofy name)

Or may...... he ran out of product. Maybe he mis counted or got rid of some locally and you had bought into something he didnt have. so he cancelled it.

Maybe he had some issues with postage....or tracking.

Point is there is tons of reasons beyond stats (your or his)

I cancel orders from time to time and state on my vendor page that I do not have to give you a reason why I have chosen to not conduct any sort of business with "you"

...maybe "he" is a "she" and doesnt like the way you throw around the "C" word.

Haha true I do get the objection to the C word!

However my SR name isn't the same as my forum name. This guise was created in a fit of rage when someone tried to hold me, and other forum members to ransom and then tried to scam details out of us. So although it is a valid point it is null and void in this scenario.

I see the vendor does state "We reserve the right to cancel your order if your stats aren't up to scratch." but given that my stats are pretty much flawless I can not imagine it is down to that.

Just slightly worrying that someone could potentially pose as a vendor, get customers details, cancel order and then be in possession of their personal details. This is further compounded by having seen that the vendor has read my message asking to clarify the situation yet receiving no response.

Essentially looking for some other similar situation stories people have been put in, just to calm ze little grey cells!

P.S Must add that this is no witch hunt against said vendor as I was refunded when order was cancelled, am just trying to establish WHY it was cancelled.

Sometimes new vendors are scared of high, good stat, long term buyers because they have been known to use feedback blackmail against new vendors because feedback like yours carries more weight than a newbs thanks to the feedback algorithm. So if you left less than a 5/5, it could really hurt the new vendor. A 1/5 from you could drop them into the 80's.

You have your rogue veteran buyers to thank if that is the case.

Hmm seems plausible.

Having a look at some other current threads I think my stats should be higher as now they are broken down over 1yr, 3months, 1months they seems to have gone down from when it was just one complete summary - oh well.

Even if the vendor was scared off by a long term buyer I still find it odd that there was no reason or any communication what so ever given when I was refunded to explain the matter. I know vendors are not obliged but still see it as common decency to at least say "Sorry dude, ran out... etc etc"

Ultimately I guess it just means a lost buyer for the vendor - shit happens.

Ah interesting. I didn't realize it worked like that. That said, I always welcome the old guard buying because I feel like its more of a sure thing that the transaction will go well that someone who has 0-1 orders.

Going to go read up on it now for the hypothetical possibility that we screw up and lose our 100% :)

I've had to cancel 4 orders a few weeks ago, because they came in the day i was going on holiday and my label printer crashed after they were put in transit, therefor i lost the address's. 2 took it well and 2 gave me a 1/5 even tho i put a public apology on my vendor page explaining why i had to cancel the orders. But i did offer a good bit of compo as it was not there fault. As for not answering  you PM's fuck knows.

Hahaha again, my name on the forums is not the same as on SR so that would not be an issue :)

Brainfreeze - Had a pm with you this morning and you seem like a stand up guy. I would order but as I was saying I only really trust PGP for giving out address details and you guys aren't offering that atm - do want to get my hands on some of those Superman pills! :)

Yeah, I had an order (a small one, but as advertized on the marketplace) cancelled & my BTC refunded, no explanation given. I have had a few vendors in the EU say they did not want to deal with the american DEA (which is completely understandable); but a little bit of a reason would be nice, 'cause otherwise I get my feelings hurt!!

you could have asked them to resend the address and written it by hand. it would have been the correct thing to do and this situation and you wouldn't have gotten a 1/5. oh and never confirm orders until they have actually been sent. what's the point anyway?

If they were scamming for details - they could have just as easily put your transaction into "transit" and made you wait forever for nothing.....

Could be they ran out of product or the other stuff mentioned.... ;)

I know, but just read her post before commenting, she has got a different SR name for christ sake. I agree with O,P, just because it states on their page they have the right to cancel, without exception.
Doesn't mean they can with no reason, and just blank your messages, its not a good start for a month old vendor.

I vend on Atlantis as well and IMO one of their best features for buyers (Which they choose to never advertise for whatever reason) is that the buyer address is not visible until the vendor actually accepts the order so rules out the possibility or trying to harvest address by canceling orders

Could be many reasons........I canceled 2 orders today...myself.......Both first time buyers with zero buys......the first one guy places a order...messages me with lots of questions that are clearly on my main page, I politely answer them and point him in the right direction for his answers.....then he proceeds to send me me 5 more messages in a 1 hour period asking when his order will be shipped, why it has not been shipped, where is his tracking number, etc...ect...ect.....every question he asked is on my main page....in his last message he said if he can not get an answer quickly ...to just cancel his order.....so that is what i did.

The second customer.....zero stats......has not read my terms and conditions and will not abide them.......so his order was also canceled.

both of these customers have been members of SR for less than 12 days........must of been some news report for all these newbies to be showing up.

The buyer msg'd me asking why....i explained that it was due to them having all of their orders go into Auto Finalize...i dont know about ya'll ...but that is just bad business that i wont be  apart of...point blank and period.....i'll cancel an order if i dont like your screen name..or if ya just make me feel creepy  :P

Peace & Hugs,

I had my first order cancelled since I signed up. They messed up the shipping so they cancelled. I am not upset, it happens.  Just glad they didnt hold the coins, so I could make another order. :) big ups to them for that.
