Title: BronzeFidelity SCAM, what, why, how!
Post by: Nevita on April 15, 2012, 08:26 am
I am opening this thread since old thread made by Zeus was deleted , i suppose that by himself.

I will like to use this thread to explain, what, why and how it happened this whole scam so we can prevent similar ones in the future.

I will tell you my experience and hope you post yours here.

First I saw Zeus talking in the forum about new goodies from apple, I am actually looking for a Macbook pro for a familiar so i said , yay this looks good.
Few days later I saw BronzeFidelity (aka Zeus) had some apple listings and a raffle going on, also I checked his profile and his thread here and everything looked fine. People telling it was a pro, oh Zeus we love you. Checked his SR profile and saw he had shipped Kindles, and microsoft webcams few days back, so i said well.. lets give it a try.

I talked with Zeus about buying one macbook pro, and he said that it was ok, I bought the listing, 1k$ .He tells me to FE and I do so. After that he kept playing his role, he said I will receive my tracking number by monday . So i was pleased. We also talked about buying a MacBook Air and he created a listing for that o.O!!

In the next two days comes the disaster... I login an see how people are talking in the forums about Zeus holding  back their moneypacks and giving stupid timelines. I began to freak out.
Few hours later I see to 1/5 ratings (following my 5/5 one!!!) saying it might be a scam, here i am actually FREAKING OUT.Still, I kept the faith.
Now I get back to SR to do more business and see that BronzeFidelity was suspended as a vendor.

This guy fucked me well.He had all this planned from the start, he did it like a pro.No cheap scam here.Hope my 1k$ helps future buyers in general to think twice not like I did :) .

So far as a vendor and occasional buyer i have come tru excellent people, but this is the true example that sometimes the good looking apple has some disgusting bugs inside. So keep an eye :)

As I said,i know few of you got scammed by Zeus , post here if you feel like sharing the scam love.

Sorry to hear it man.

I myself bought a ticket to his lottery. Albeit no comparable loss to what you suffered.

If we can all combine our power of thought hopefully we can give him cancer with our minds and when he see's the ultrasound of the tumor it will say - SR <3

I learnt my lesson about FE after losing $28.... Never again.

+1 to cancer lol

Many bought tickets for his lottery, that was the way he boosted his rank.. I now realize.. he won few bucks on that also, for sure.

COME on people, use your brains and you won't get scammed.

If there is a tracking number, there is no need for FE - I posted this in his thread. I think that is posted in the buyers guide as well as "FE at your own risk"

Now we gotta wait for a new vendor selling 'social engineered' BTC. (not funny, I know) but how could you trust a guy who sold stuff he said he scammed out of Apple?

I normally use my brain, and I did after ordering from Zeus lol, He asked me to finalize early because he needed to get the goodies and the get one back. If he had almost no reputation I will laugh at FE option, but more people did it in the past and received the goods. I know I FE at my own risk, I am a vendor here lol.

@Now we gotta wait for a new vendor selling 'social engineered' BTC. (not funny, I know) but how could you trust a guy who sold stuff he said he scammed out of Apple?

Everyone does something illegal here, some do better things some worst.. but hey, it was a service to the community I think it will have worked great!

I am sorry for you men, I know that other 2 guys bought the same 1k$ item as me, and a guy bought 1,5k$ of goodies from him. Also some moneypaks scam as I see. How much have this guy drained from us? lol I think 5-8k$

@UGS

Thank you a lot for requiring the help of the community to get me out of the shit hehe I really appreciate this gesture, you have become my best friend here in SR, and the best business partner.
I will never let you down!!

Wow, and here I was defending his ass. I guess paying me back and throwing in a little extra was his way of not making me tarnish his rep. Sorry about his review threads guys, I feel like shit for having done that  :'(

Caparino,

He looked like a good vendor when answering back my messages and all the thing. So it's not pre-scam buyers fault

I think they should limit the "lotto" thing. That way you can get EXCELLENT reputation in few days-weeks.

From a businessman's perspective it's a rather smart plot, but yeah it's pretty shitty if they turn out to be scammers like case in point.

I made a purchase with him but it is still in escrow, I refused to finalize early.

Do you know when SR admin will return my money? Anyone have experience with this before?

His account has been suspended but my money is stuck in escrow with him.

wasn't this the guy who had most of his positive feedback from 99 cent netflix accounts and lottos then randomly jumped into moneypak exchange a few days ago?  vendor ratings should show how much their average transaction is so people know not to FE for someone whose average sale is something like .5 BTC

Nevita:

Its sad we have to learn lessons the hard way someone should start a relief fund for people that
get scammed. I mean we spend money on lotteries and other stupid shit. Why not one honest person
or put a person in charge like SR VENDOR SUPPORT we start a fund maybe each person donates $5
to the fund, do you know how many scammed people (WITH PROOF OF BEING SCAMMED) we could help

just my 2 cents....

I guess this proves that we really can trust any vendor on here. I feel bad for the people who  lost out big bc of this asshole. Hopefully SR support can do somthing about this.

Im pretty sure theres no way of getting my money back. First time getting scammed and this blows. Guess im not celebrating 420 this year

This is shit. I wanted to buy the Apple gear from him in quantity to resell and I had buyers locked down and everything. It's weird though, he seemed a really nice guy and he spoke to me quite a bit. Shame people go down the bad path.
