I've heard that Customs consider postal items originating from some countries to be higher risk or lower risk (eg a package originating from Pakistan may be more likely to under go greater scrutiny by Customs than a package originating from England).
Is this true? If so what are considered some of the safer and less safe countries of origin? (I'm from around the New Zealand / Australia area but i'm sure many of the same countries of origin are used by other Customs like USA and Canada etc?)/

Thailand has been called a "hot" return address country but we are 100% in 13 months using air mail. I think there is so much mail because of agriculture, manufacturing, and other legitimate trade between Thailand and the West that it is impossible to screen due to the huge volume of mail. Or maybe the elves and I are just really crafty. Surely the Netherlands is a very hot return address if you are receiving parcels.
