Title: Bitcoins from Mt. Gox to SR?
Post by: lupelemons on May 11, 2013, 07:44 pm
 Hey Ya'll,

I'm new here on the forums, and SR as well.  I'm hoping to make my first purchase soon, but before I do I want to make sure I'm taking the necessary precautions.  One aspect I'm trying to get a better grasp of is the Bitcoin part.  If I were to buy BC's from Mt.Gox, and transfer into my SR account, what steps should I take to insure anonymity.  Should I exit the tor browser when buying bitcons, or should I stay in?
Is it safe to directly transfer coins from Gox to Sr?

Any help is appreciated  :)

I think it is against Mt. Gox rules to use Tor.

Would I have to be worried about my identity being discovered if I used my normal browser to transfer BC's to my SR wallet from Gox?

It's against mtgox terms of service to access it through tor and/or public proxies.
There's a warning on the site that says if you access via tor, you're liable to being banned.

I don't use mtgox however, so I dunno if this has ever happened.

If your worried about a trail, just put your coins in an instawallet before sending it to SR.
But tbh, I fail to see how mtgox would be able to tell if a wallet address belongs to your SR account or not.
