If an IP has frequent interruptions, being on the clearnet AND on Tor incurs the risk of deanonymization through correlation. For stealth, the best option is to browse several windows in the same time with Tor (or to relay traffic inside the network) with a different time and activity pattern every time.
Aside of that, the more compartmentalized and the shorter activities are, the harder it is to link events.
In theory, if one was to take things to extreme lengths, one seeking great security might make use of a Whonix OS with a Virtual Machine and have 1 PGP key and 2 dedicated emails per contact. One email to send emails to one address, and another one to get emails from a different address. Ideally, one would not take any telephone along during these operations either.
