Title: Shipping to Rural Areas *sigh*
Post by: gn0ssos on September 30, 2013, 10:16 pm
I live way the fuck out in the country at least 2-3 hours from any big cities. I'm starting to come to the realization that if you live in a rural area, you may as well place your order and forget about it for awhile. Otherwise you'll be suffering disappointment every day you run out to the mailbox immediately after the mailman comes, so sure it's got to be here today... then nothing.

I placed my first two orders late at night on Friday, 9/20. I was told by the one vendor that he would ship Monday morning, 9/23 and I'm fairly sure he did. So both orders were marked in transit Monday, 9/23. One was First Class and the other was the only option of "free," so I'm guessing that's something slow.

Anyway now it's been exactly a week since marked in transit, Monday, 9/30, 9 days till auto-finalize and still nothing. I was SO SURE today after it didn't come all weekend that it'd be here, but NOPE. First Class is supposed to be faster than Priority, right? I'm confused. Anyway just a warning to any newbies that might be reading this, if you live out in the country, plan ahead and give at least a week - a week and 1/2 for shipping just in case. Order and forget about it for awhile, I've been sweatin this shit forever now.

SURELY it'll be here in the next couple days? I just made 3 more orders too, 2 of which I'm really hoping make it by the weekend. One was First Class and one was Priority. We'll see what happens there. I'm having those 2 mailed to a drop address that's closer to a big city. I can only hope...

Order into a larger town and drive to it. Most mailbox places will txt you when you get a package.
