Title: Best Vape for Generating the Most Accurate Temps?
Post by: quinone on May 31, 2012, 06:10 pm
Putting the volcano right aside (I just don't want one heh), does anyone know of any ceramic heater element vaporizers that are very accurate at maintaining temperature and possibly adjustable if such a vape exists?

I use weed pretty much only for pain management these day's, so since the CBD and CBN boiling temps are known (66C and 185C respectively) and that discounting the flash point of THC (on its own THC has an insanely high boiling temp of like 300C, but it has a low flash-point) I know the best vapor comes from heating to around 200C, but would like the ability to play around with the temp to modify the ratio of THC/CBD/CBN, specifically for CBN since it's boiling point is close to 200C.

Basically looking at what vapes are actually QUALITY, i'm looking at the vapor brothers vape right now and it looks pretty solid but there's again no measure of accuracy that i'm able to find.

I have Da Buddha and love it, but no digital temp control.

I've never heard of that one actually.  What is it that you like so much about it?

^Thats how i would describe the V-Tower. And the temp is spot on!

I've been stoned from a bowl packed with bud that was vaped 5 times through a V Tower.

Yeah i've heard of that one too and it seems very affordable, I found a canadian (clearnet) vendor offering the digital version for $160 including all tax and shipping ( http://www.vaporizers.ca/product.php/product_id/802 ).

Tempted by the price alone, but this is one of those devices where there's so many crap/scam quality products (kinda like the air purifier market) that it's hard as shit to find the legit quality products in a sea of crap lol.

Can anyone else speak to the V-tower's quality, or any vape not mentioned.  I appreciate your guys advice and want to know about as many vapes I can before I buy one.

It's kinda why I skipped over the volcano, $500 is a bit steep for just a name when there seems to be a wealth of other vapes that are as equivalently effective as a volcano.  I'd kinda rather one with a whip and not a bag anyways.

But yeah, i'm not having much luck finding an 'analytical piece', but assume if one does exist that it's price is so asinine it wouldn't be worthwhile.

So yeah it's all about what ppls qualitative experiences are with good vapes that i'm hoping you guys can (and have been) giving me some of your own personal insight on.

PS:  I don't want a vape to get stoned, I want one to manage pain and not have to rip a bowl every hour heh.

Ok I think, but might be dead wrong that i'm gonna pick between either an Arizer V-tower Digital or an SSV.  I can get the arizer for $160 CAD, shipped all taxes included .... it'll be very difficult otherwise to get AMERICAN distributors to ship to Canada ... I think [CLEARNET] http://www.vaporizers.ca/product.php/product_id/802

But i've also heard nothing but good things about the SSV, only prob is its about $100 more (and I dunno how i'll get it shipped into Canada heh) !!  What makes it that much more valuable?

I guess I should list the parameters of what i'm looking for, which is for personal repeated use during the day (aka i'd like to leave it on), stealth isn't really a problem but i'd rather have a smaller vape then a beast, i'd like it to be a whip based vape, tight temp. control (and a QUALITY ceramic heating element) and affordable (i'm liking the $160 neighborhood ... unless that vape is garbage).

There's just so many out there that 2/3 of em must be junk already, and of the other 1/3 you kinda need to hear ppl's personal experiences to know what's best for you.  For me it's all about pain management, NOT getting high.

How does Da Buddha stack up to the two I mentioned?  Or are they all getting so similar in quality that my best option would be just to get the cheapest of the 3?

Da bhudda (and probably all the other ones you want too) can be bought on amazon with free 2 day shipping or $3.99 overnight shipping. I got mine for $150, came with all the cool stuff and case and all that, and idk about the others but i like the da bhudda a lot cause its really well made like simple steel solidly made. the only thing is no temperature like you're looking for

Yeah I won't buy a vaporizer that needs to cross a border into my country (Canada) and be inspected by customs linked to my personal name.

That link (Canadian Reseller) I posted though, I was surprised to see on the left they have pretty much every damned vape there is lol, including the budha for $150.

I 'want' temp control, but if it's heating element does a good enough job of creating clean vapor that will do it's job (kill pain) it's really not THAT important I guess, esp. if it means a big chunk more money just for 'digital temp control' heh.  It's a solid and reliable vape i'm looking for, the da budha looks pretty solid, but i've only seen pics.

If you are deciding between the Silver Surfer and the Da Buddha, get the Da Buddha, they are bascially the same vape. If you want a digital temp, then V-tower is probably the best option.
