I just transfered BTCs from my localbitcoin account into my SR wallet. I refreshed a couple times but still showing a 0 balance!
Starting to stress a little.. Does it take a lot of time to process?
-
yeah like at least an hour. thats just bitcoin for ya.
-
shew..
So its normal for it to show 0 balance for some time? (double clarification here)
-
yes its absolutely normal, it will get in there, just go do something else and forget about it...when you come back, it will be there...promise!
-
Once you have transferred them to your SR bitcoin address, go to blockchain.info and key in your SR bitcoin address and do a search, once there has been between 6 and 8 confirmations, it will appear in your SR account, takes roughly an hour.
-
Does the admin have to manually send out bitcoins, or is there an autoscript? This is relevant to my interests.
-
Ah thank goodness! I just bought bitcoins today for the first time and I'm so nervous because I feel like so many things can go wrong! I buy drugs in real life all the time and this is so much more stressful haha.

Keep checking blockchain.info (search your wallet address). If it's been a few hours there should be at least a couple confirmations. It seems like SR accepts bitcoins transactions at around 8-10 confirmations.

the transfer always takes a while, just be calm, it will get there.

Nah it's universally 6 confirmations until the funds are availible to you.
To elaborate on what this person is saying, go on blockchain.info and copy paste either your bitcoin address or your silk road bitcoin address into the search bar, check out where the money is and wait for that magic number six to pop-up.
I understand depositing into silk road is terrifying, especially for a person who faces disorders such as OCD or paranoia. Some other websites similar to silk road show an "unconfirmed balance" and a "confirmed balance". I wish silk road used this feature to give us some peace of mind that we didn't type the wrong address and lose $500.
