Title: Apple and tor. new versions of tor.
Post by: billyprod on October 11, 2012, 08:40 am
Please may I ask-

1.Is is possible to use Tor on a Max to access SR?

2.Currently, EVERY time I access the tor browser on my laptop I get a message that it is out of date and to download a new version. This is even if I am on 2/3 times a day. How should I treat these messages?

thanks for answer.
I am afraid that I do not know-but every single time I log on to tor I am asked to download a new version.

When you open your TOR browser the default home page is the TOR check page - it checks to see what version of TOR you are running and lets you know if there have been any updates. If it says there are updates then you need to go download the most recent version. Delete the old version, install the new.

Thanks Guys.
Everything seems ok now.
I had already been downloading new and deleting old, but it ended up that every single time [say 4x per day] that I logged on, I got a "no longer recommended" message for existing browser.
I uninstalled everything, including firefox, and that seems to have done the trick.
