Title: Can Somebody Confirm Odd Forum Behavior?
Post by: SimpleSky on September 22, 2013, 08:25 am
So - the past fews days since I've been active in this forum, I've noticed that publishing messages and topics turns a unique behavior. The captcha seems to float between tabs. I'm using the new version of tails, and I've noticed that I'll make one post under one tab (guess I should specify further, I'm using ice weasle as my browser on the newest tails version) then move to another tab and decide to comment on something on the second tab. When I do, after I submit my message, I get an error returned saying my captcha was input incorrectly. When I look at it, either the captcha or what I had input has changed to what the previous captcha was in a completely different tab. Sounds like - almost a strange session handling problem.
However, it also sounds like a possible MITM - but I can't be sure until I verify with others that this is happening to them as well. If it is, it's probably something that should be looked at. We actually had a similar problem just this last week at work. Not to get to detailed, but sessions were crossing and then dying even though it was still alive - turned out to be sub-process owner problem with apache2, but most of you probably don't care about that.
Sorry for the mild nerd-out there.
Rock on!
*wonders if it will happen this time*
