I just joined SR two weeks ago, and yesterday was my first time trying to order anything, an hour or so after successfully placing in my first $XXX dollars into my account.
When it asked me for my PIN, I was a little confused, but then I remembered that I wrote down a certain Withdrawal PIN, along with my password and username in a secure place on my computer. First time typing it in, it did not work. Second time, just to make sure I typed it right, it still did not work. Then I tried using some minor variations of the PIN, just to make sure I didn't accidently mistype it on my file(unlikely as it was so damn simple), and I ended up having it reset.
I thought that since there was no other explanation for this, I might have indeed typed in the wrong PIN when I first wrote it down during registration. However, I later on I recalled that I had also written my username, password, and withdrawal pin on my school notebook as well, and lo and behold it was the exact same one as the one on my file, which I typed in twice when I was asked for it. After checking on the community forums, I saw that a few other individuals here have experienced the same problem, ie typing the correct PIN and still having it not work, and they suggested it might be due to a certain glitch. Unlike some others, who simply forgot their PIN, I did make precautions (ie writing it down twice in this case), and I am now certain that I was 100% correct the first time I typed in tin and did not simply forget it or write it down incorrectly.
Also, I attempted to write my PIN just an hour or so after placing $XXX dollars into my account, whereas it had been previously empty. If I were indeed a scammer, then would it really make sense for me to place that much money into a previously empty account just to try to take it out immediately after?
I have sent the Support a message, but just got a two sentence response saying to wait a few more days and be patient. Regardless of what one thinks of this seven day rule (one can guess my feelings), is there no way whatsoever of checking the original PIN and subsequently having me verify it to see that I am not just blatantly lying about this? Also, wouldn't the fact that I have not changed my password or anything else in my account since joining two weeks ago, except for adding in the money a couple days ago (which strangely does not require any PIN), kind of suggests that I really am not some sort of scammer. Although my rational side is just telling me to stay calm, I can't help but feeling a little ripped off. Call me a noob, but just an hour after putting hundreds of dollars into my account, only to be told that I cannot do anything at all with it, is just raising some alarms in my head and I am starting to get panicky. I don't understand why this rule is really the best thing available to filter out “phishers”, or whatever they're called. I have never encountered anything remotly similar to this on any other website. [I could rant on and on about this but I will just let it go]
I know some of you will tell me to just wait this out for a few more days, but as some friends trusted me with their money into making an order, and the fact that I will be leaving my college dorm in just a week, is making this matter pretty urgent for me. I know a few days does not seem like a lot but at this point in time for me it really does. And on of that, finals week is this upcoming week, with 3 finals taking place on Thursday and Friday, and already the hope of getting through those days with stims and benzos for the comedown is already looking like a fucken pipe-dcream due to this shit. I'm sorry for ranting and getting so worked up but I can really do without the extra anxiety, especially at this point in time, so I hope you can excuse my frustrations.
If anyone, and mods in particular, can help me out I would be extremely grateful.
PS: My SR username is the same as this one

I had literally the exact same thing.... wrote down, tried variations... nothing worked. So it reset, i started frantically msging mods (as i finally after like 3 weeks of nonstop work figured out how to buy btc in canada [a difficult process for me xD])
but all they said was wait... But the good thing about this story is that i sweet talked whoever it was into resetting my pin on the friday (only 5 days after) because i said i wanted to order before weekend :P
My suggestion... as fucking difficult as it was for me to read when i posted nonstop in threads about the same problem, is to wait it out.. and message SR is a cool manner, so they think that you're cool. Because cool people always get what they want.. yeahh... 8)

You are not the only one. I myself and I know of one other person not on the forums that has had the same problem. I have had a working PIN for a couple months now, copied/pasted from a password manager at the time of creation, so I know there was no error on my part....besides, like I said it has been working up until the time I try to transfer Bitcoin to someone this week.
If you ask me, there is a serious problem with SR. This needs to be resolved ASAP, and SR needs to let the communtity know WTF. Either there is database corruption somewhere, or someone at SR is playing games with our Bitcoin.
