I have been testing pills for a few years now and I am able to tell what is what when it comes to testing and color changes.
Recently a friend acquired a few different batches of MDMA all from a very well known vendor.
2 out of the 3 batches tested perfectly for MDMA.
The third batch however failed the Simons test. The color change was a merky green color slowly turning dark brown/black and actually stuck to the bottom of the plate, which was really odd.
This is a brand new test kit my friend just received in the Mail today, It did the same thing with his last test kit and thought that would be the problem so he ordered a new one.
My friend ingested the product and his initial thoughts were it to be MDA. Strong body high/tingles, last forever, very potent and mild psychedelic effects(the product was actually good, just not MDMA feeling)
But if it were to be MDA the Simons should have no color reaction at all, I have looked at every chart and just about every forum. Can not find anything that can help me out.
Was hoping someone here had any info that could help.

Sounds like it was mostly MDA and the reaction was due to some impurities, possibly some byproducts of the synthesis or even MDMA, mixtures of MDA/MDMA/MDEA are not unheard of
