Title: Seperate rating for early finalizing.
Post by: jimbob966 on January 27, 2012, 05:44 pm
I know we don't want to promote finalizing early, but this is ridiculous. Have you ever went to see a vendors' reviews to only go back 2 months and see all "Finalizing early will update when received"? I hate it because you really don't know if the vendor is reliable.

I think we should have an option that you click on for early finalizing. It would carry the same impact as auto-finalizing if you don't come back and update. There would be no rating given or taken from the vendor until you come back and confirm you got it or you didn't.

Like I said though, this is a touchy subject since everyone stresses do not finalize early under and circumstance. People are going to do it. Whether you like it or not, people will always do it until they get ripped off, and for some people that doesn't even stop them.

What you guys think?

P.S. I realized a flaw would be people would still click on the regular finalize. So, when the item is placed in-transit, make it say "Finalize Early". Then, have it change 24hrs later to finalize. (Overnight packages). The seller only sends the item if you finalize early so the buyer has to wait atleast an extra day to bypass the system still just so their order ships. Such a hassle.

Yeah, I completely agree!  Sellers shouldn't get positive feedback from early finalizations, but it also shouldn't hurt their feedback.

Seconding this. It sucks having to scroll through 2 pages of "Finalizing early" to see if people actually got their product, and if it was good.
