Title: Best way to tumble or launder BTC
Post by: nobodyenduser on September 24, 2013, 12:37 am
I am waiting on my first transfer from Virwox into my offline account which will take up to 48 hrs for new accounts and I am wonder what is the best way to safely tumble bitcoins to gain complete anonymity. (used virwox because I an low on $$$ and they let me buy sll with paypal smartconnect credit that i was able to exchange for btc)

I am leery about sending through a "mixing" service like app.bitlaundry.com which is on the clearnet or bitcoinfog which is in the tor network.

What about sending it through different offline wallets using a different VPN server each time. I am also leery for I am using VyprVpn and I read that they keep logs.

I do not have much but what I have I would like to keep. So if there is a best safe way to achieve complete anonymity PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Thanks

Bitcoinfog is a great service. Use it.

Don't use clearnet services for anonymity, it's an oxymoron.

If you don't trust the landering hop on the blockchain and follow the coins, if you can't you did well.

Is one time through the fog enough or should you do multiple passes?

One pass is enough, two might be more suspicious to be honest. If you want more anonymity you can spread out the transactions. It gets into the final wallet through multiple transactions from multiple wallets and you can choose it to progressively enter the wallet over a minimum of 6 hours and a maximum of 24 hours. 24 hours is obviously more anonymous.

Give an example of "several different wallets"
like: Bitcoinshare>Wallet1>Wallet2>Fog>Wallet3>Wallet4>SR Wallet???
