Title: Auto Finalize
Post by: STaz on March 25, 2013, 07:36 pm
Quick question.  If I have a delivery that could take longer to receive than the days left to Auto Finalize, whats the best way to be sure that I still have recourse if the package never shows yet Auto Finalize kicks in?

Thanks everyone!

After 10 days, you will be able to click on the resolve button. This is what you do when your package hasn't arrived. In the resolution center, you can ask for a refund or an "extension of due date" this latter will give you more time. Sometimes vendors don't accept the extension right away (maybe they don't notice, I don't know), so PM them if the due date is near and they haven't accepted it yet.

I had the same question thanks to you both.  I didn't want to click "resolve" without knowing what the options would be.

When you click resolve there will be the option to either extended the time frame in which auto finalization would come into play or whether to settle for a refund. When doing this I'd recommend letting your vendor know what the problem is also while including your order number, and whether they think an extension of time is possible and/or reasonable, or whether they believe that maybe a refund is a good way to come to a resolution in cause of a no show. Always remember to be polite, even in the event of a stressful situation!

Peace

Depends on the vendor. I usually go to resolve if that's the case.
