Hello all,
I hope I am understanding this correctly... The resolution center will reflect % refunds on a buyers ratings but not re-sends? is this correct?
If I do a re-send, that is the equivalent of a 50% refund and as such it should reflect on the buyers ratings... am I right in saying this?
Today I had a chap who finalized and asked for a re-send... the time before, I was asked by SR to finalize on 0% refund but I did do a re-send! On that occasion I did let the SR staff know that re-sends and refunds are very similar and other sellers need to know these stats.
What do others sellers think and what does Silk Road think? I feel a re-send needs to be included in the ratings
Regards

1 order = 1 shipment. Simple. Package doesn't arrive, "Sorry." If you reship, that's on you. Buyers get away w/murder. Changing rating and comments, devil worshiping, La Chupacabra, aliens, area 54. Buyers have a hand in it all. They do what they want. No way something should reflect poorly on a buyer. Geez!
Yes, I am being sarcastic. I do not believe buyers have anything to do w/area 54.

This is why I stress on my profile that buyers need to wait till they've received and checked the product before they finalize.
I am always willing to give the buyer the benefit of the doubt, but for the benefit of other venders, I won't do reships or refunds that aren't reflected in their stats, it promotes scams and dishonesty and with the way that escrow and the rating system is set up, buyers have a very distinct advantage here on SR, as Mr. McGillacutty has hinted at.
(That is if they are keen enough to use it and not finalize early for every too-good-to-be-true scam that comes up here every week)

Hi,
Each day my skin becomes thicker... today I got a mail asking for a re-re-send, best I take the advice and scrap refunds and resends!
And again I had SR finalize with 0% refund after I had re-sent....
OK then... no more Mr Nice guy...
thanks for your input.

Sorry this is happening to you. Remember some packages do not get by though.
If I got a re ship I would accept no refund if that did not arrive. That makes sense to me as a buyer.
If buyers always report that the reship never arrived then it would be obvious that the seller is not actually re shipping. Just my thoughts.

There should be buyer feedback.
The buyer stats don't reflect problems a seller might have had with a buyer after he finalized, like resends.
