Title: Is it better to cancel my own order or ask the vendor to cancel it?
Post by: trails on August 01, 2012, 04:53 pm
My order has been processing for over 4 days and the vendor won't respond to my messages.
I know from past experience that if the vendor cancels my order I lose 4% and if it's hedged, the value of my btc
stays the same as when I placed the order.  But I get refunded immediately.

I thought I read somewhere that if I cancel it myself I have to wait 10 days to get refunded but now I can't find where I read this.  Is it true that I must wait 10 days to get refunded?  Do I still lose 4% too?
Does it show as a refund on my buyer stats?

If this is true then it would be better if the vendor would cancel it for me wouldn't it?

That's kinda fuct that we loose 4% for a vendor canceling out order. I got screwed recently on a big order. I should of read the fine print. I have another vendor that I may need the order cancelled but another loss sucks.

I can only tell you that the refund is instantaneous so you don't need to wait 10 days? About the 4% i really can't say. never noticed that.

Having the same problem with a rude vendor. The cancel option will be available in 4 days, and I'm not happy about it. I just think that after a 48 hour period, if the vendor does not respond, you should have the option to cancel, rather than having to wait a whole week because that vendor cant click a button.
