I was not sure if I should put this post in the H review or vendor thread or a thread of its own.
Today is my 1 month being on SR and I want to thank all of you for the direction you have provided me in making my experience thus far a good one. However, I would like to share with you what happened on my very first transaction. I waited until now because the vendor asked that I not say anything for a couple days until he can properly investigate the situation. I decided to wait a couple weeks. I was not going to say anything at all but this guys service went well beyond anything I had experienced.
I decided to go with Marlostanfield. He came on about the same time I did. All of his feedback was stellar and a couple of the established vendors required that I FE which I was not prepared to do. I know the number 1 rule of SR is don’t talk about SR. The number 2 rule should be don’t FE.
So after about eight days, getting bitcoins and all, I am ready to order. I had decided on Marlo and placed the order late on a Thursday night. It showed “in transit” when I got home from work on Friday. I woke up Saturday and completely forgot about my order. I called my dealer and was heading out the door when I realized that my order should be here. I open the mailbox and there it was. I skipped in to the house and opened it up very carefully and I looked and looked and nothing. The shipment was super stealth but there was nothing in the package. I PM Marlo and he immediately responds and tells me where to look and says it’s there. I respond back that it is not and that I wish it was. I also told Marlo a little about myself in an effort to explain that I have nothing to gain by saying the goods were not there. Keep in mind that at no point during our back-and-forth did Marlo even question my word. After a couple of PM’s I decided to take some pic’s so he could see what I was talking about. He immediately responded back asking if I wanted a refund. I said “no” and he said it would go out the following week.
So then I log on to the SR on Sunday (the following day) and notice I have a couple messages and a lot of money in my account. My stomach dropped when I saw the funds back into my account. While waiting for the page load to read message, I am thinking "he has thought about it..He does not believe you and he has decided to say fuck you Holden and move on". Luckily that was not the case. His message was very similar to the post he had on his vendor page “I've uncovered a scam and I don't believe you were involved in it. It's looking like I'm not gonna be back up til wed. So what I'm going to do is cancel your order and send u an xtra half a gram in your next order. I don’t want to hold your money up. If you could please keep this under wraps …”.
He refunded my order and my shipping fees. I ordered from him a few days later and received with no problems. I just wanted to share my experience. Marlo’s gear was good and I am sure there is better but after many years using I can say “you got to look at the big picture.” In another order I placed I might have liked the gear slightly better but I would not order again because I was already comparing this guy to Marlo and realized that this guy is not even in the same league. Yep, you got to look at the big picture, and I know Marlostanfield is already doing that

Vendor need to put up PGP key for buyer safety. :-\

Agreed flwrchlds9.
I won't FE or buy from a vendor without PGP. I was interested in his listings, but not without PGP

I understand the need for PGP and I appreciate your two cents.
My intended message was it was my first order, there was hiccup, the seller could have said fuck you (either with pgp encryption or with out), and he handled his business.

I messaged him today and he said he will have PGP up in a few weeks.

man that's great that your first transaction went well. it's a pretty unnerving experience, at least it was for me. but having it all work out nicely is an amazing boost in confidence.
i feel you and i all his feedback is great but it seems like he's yacking my chain on an order i made last week. he put the wrong zip code on the package and and wants me to take it to resolution. i hope everything works out in the end, but i've got a bad feeling about this.

So he responds to your messages? This is the biggest problem I have with MS and I don't know why he wouldn't respond...I basically follow up and tell him it's fire and I'm interested in the "Mike Vick Listing" so let me know when he will be re-upping. He reads it...no response. I don't see why he wouldn't respond as I've been a great customer and left stellar feedback ALONG w/ contemplating buying large quantities off him. Baffling.

Reading about this sketchy experience...hearing about possible scams and slow message response times...combined with no PGP -this stops me from ordering. Add to that the fact that there are more vendors today than there have been in a long time...

He has some great prices, and with 300 transactions 99.8% positive I dont think you can go wrong. Will order from him next

I didn't mean to turn you off to buying his product. It is actually very good, especially for the price. Shipping is stealth as well. I just think he doesn't get back to me bc he's so busy. I just wish I would know when his listings would go up bc it's as I miss them every damn time now...

Can anyone confirm that he still doesnt use PGP?
I'm at checkout and looking around for his key..
