Title: Quite a stupid question but...

Is it a bad idea to browse with chrome while using Tor? or any other browser for that matter and yes let's assume I'm still seeding torrents, downloading files with chrome, opening them, etc

one of my mates does that,personally i wouldnt recommend it and would look into a usb with liberte on it.

Shit, I kinda just assumed to stay away from anything clearnet related when I have a tor session open.
Maybe one of the vets around here that actually knows something will pitch in.

It is actually not a good idea: Tor browser is based on Firefox and yes, it might be a bit slower compared to Chrome, especially at anything that has to do with javascript. However, SR and forums do not use Javascript extensively so the gain is very little compared to the loss of security: Tor browser has a lot of plugins which guarantee your anonymity while Chrome does not.

The best way IMO is to setup an anon linux distro in a USB and play with that either in a Virtual machine or boot up with that...
