Title: What is your preferred method for funding bitcoin trading accounts etc
Post by: purem00d on March 25, 2013, 10:56 pm
Shhhitt I wish I could buy some coin right now, with all the hoops you have to go through these days it sure is a pain in the ass huh?  Watching it rise all week, the coin I do have sitting in my wallet is making me money though so thats cool.

Anyone experience delays when funding trading accounts with Dwolla?  Shits annoying takes 3-5 to get from a bank account to Dwolla and then I never see my money immediately in my trading accounts.  Usually use Dwolla > Bitinstant > Mtgox.  Bitinstant can't take Dwolla till next week due to maintenance so I've sent my money to Campbx, anyone use that site?

My favorite trading site was bitfloor untill they got hacked, you could just walk into a Chase and give them cash 100% anonymously.  Looks like they've go their shit back together so I'm gonna have to give them a go

I use Bit instant. Bring the printed out receipt to a local store that can transfer funds.

I've been purchasing from bitinstant, going to local CVS and using the red phone there and then paying at the counter. Funds transfer to MtGox and then I withdraw that to silkroad account.

This except I use my Silk Road deposit address instead of going through MtGox.

Bitinstant has treated me well. You can either go straight to SR account or a separate wallet then SR.

Pardon my noobish question, but deposting straight to the silk road bitcoin address, I assume it converts your USD to the current market bitcoin price?

I thought if you transfered straight to your sr account it wasn't ''safe'' if so i'll skip that transfer then transfer step all the way through

I use a buying agent called Spendbitcoins to get my stuff in Australia. Should have an mtgox account soon. I wash them with Bitmix before sending them to the road.

Yes.

It's not really "unsafe". Using a separate wallet first is just another level of precaution you can take.
