I've quite a little collection of young peyote cactus and was just curious to the domestic demand for them?
They are all 2 years and younger.
This is just a curiosity thread, and open to comments..
Peace,

would they be reasonably affordable? can you ship them without damaging em?
if it all works out I may be very interested. is there an average size?
-
They are ranging in the 2 - 10mm size.. all under 2 years. I could ship them semi rooted in loose well wrapped soil.. they would ship professionally.
Price I have no idea on.. was just checking for interest..

I'd be interested, would be cool to grow even if just for a conversation piece!
-
Would they be fine with indirect sunlight through a window? Or do they have to be grown outside?
I've never grown cacti before...so maybe what I'm asking for is just a little info to know if they would even do well where I live/with what I have available.
I would definitely be interested if it was possible for me to grow though!
-
ya, looking for more growing info too. especially if it can be treated as a household plant or not.
thanks for the thread. very interesting.

The are very easy to grow.
South side window, cactus potting soil, water once every two weeks while seedlings or depending on your pot size.
Essentially you want to water them, let them sit, and re-water once the soil becomes bone dry for about a week.
They thrive in indirect light of a southern exposure.. they can be grafted onto perioskopsis cactus too, they are all grafting size at this point...
As everyone probably knows, they are slow growing.. and would take at least 5 years to be consumable, and you'd definitely want more than one cacti to achieve any sort of dose from them.. I don't consider these to be available for drug use, more for novelty and house plant type situations..

I would be interested for the right price. I would also be interested probably more so in dried peyote ready to consume.......
-
Depending on the price, I'd probably get one or two as gifts.

I am interested in the cacti for the right price and I am also looking for dried peyote ready to consume.
Thanks!

would yuo happen to have a live grandfather?????
I had one many moons ago until i put it outside one sunny day in the shade so the spirit could grow stronger, and whilst i was away a deluge ensued... Poor thing drowned and rtted, no matter how i tried to keep it alive!

I have two pups that came from a 49 year old peyote.. each about the size of an adult mans thumb. The parent Peyote was the most peculiar looking peyote Ive ever seen, IRL and on the internet. I'm trying to get them to root.. slow things that they are.
They do seem to be so damn sensitive to change.. I imagine sitting in one place for hundreds of years can teach an unwillingness to change.

I am 100% sure I would buy one if you put them up for sale, most likely very quickly. I recently started growing weed plants mostly as a novelty (and to have cheap weed on-hand of course), but I would love to have a little cactus friend to keep for years. A normal cactus is interesting enough, but a peyote one? Hot damn. I would even be willing to buy a seed (or whatever?) if you run out of the cacti.
Hope to hear back :)

I will pick out a few of the quality 1.5 year olds and have them up in the next week. I'll have to do some research for a fair price.
I'll post here when I post them up.

I'd be interested if they were for the right price.

I would be interested if you were willing to ship internationally ( I don't know where you are located but i am guessing definitely

I would be willing to FE and accept all risks on my end
