Title: Raspberry PI just for accessing SR?
Post by: DoctorFate on May 24, 2013, 11:03 pm
I have an extra 22" LCD I'm not using and thinking about getting a raspberry pi for it, I'm thinking it would be great to use for SR?

Explanation:
I hate logging into SR on computers that I use all the time, I dunno why.  Right now I use tails or the tor bundle from an truecrypted usb.  If I have time to wait for tails to boot up I'll use that but obviously the tor bundle is faster and I don't loose access to my main machine.

Anyone have any experience with this, is it silly to even try?  I have never used a raspberry pi, I know it has it's own OS but from what I've gathered  it would be perfect to just hook up to my extra LCD and keep it up for when I need it.  Love to hear anyones thoughts on this.

O and I don't like virtual machines.

There you go.

Forgot to add, the only issue I had was getting a bitcoin client that would work on it and not crash it on the download of the block chain.
