Hi there
Ive just made my first transfew from my wallet to the address given on the deposit page. How long should it take to get there? Ive been waiting an hour and nothing yet?
Any clues please

I did the same thing last night and started a btc vendor act. Took a little over an hour for it to transfer.
-
It can take about 1-3 hours maby, depends on how much traffic and so on but it should not take to long.
-
It generally takes my deposits ~2 hours.
-
It depends on your transaction fees. If you sent a small/no transaction fee, it may take a very long time.
I accidentally sent 0.4 BTC once with NO transaction fees - Took 9 hours to get to its destination. Yeah
I was pretty worried .

That's a good point about the fee. May want to keep that in mind.

You can also look it up on http://blockchain.info .. Just put your transaction id in there and it'll give you an ETA.
It really depends on if/when a miner is nice enough to place your transaction in his block for free (if you paid no transaction fees like me)

The delay you're experiencing is the coins going through SR's tumbling process, so it's well worth the wait.
-
I deposit money to SR directly at my exchanger. They don't care where the Bitcoins are going as soon as they get their money.
They always pay a transaction fee of 0.001 BTC so it only takes 1-3 hours to finaly see my money on the site.
0.001 BTC is not much and speeds up the process, so consider setting up a default fee for each transaction.
Other Option:
Send the payment at night and go sleep :P

My default transaction fee is .0005, and I haven't seen any delays I'd consider a concern.

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.
-
One more thing.. The default fee of 0.0005 in some clients is sometimes not enough if your BTC total consists of lots of smaller amounts.

The delay is also due to the routing system of SR. It doesn't get transferred straight from your wallet to SR, in fact, SR routes it through multiple other before it finally reaches here.
