Title: Confirmation before cancelling
Post by: goblin on June 05, 2012, 09:00 pm
I think this would be a most useful feature. Insert some kind of code (I know we have to avoid javascript, but there must be something else out there) that would require a second step, a confirmation, before cancelling an order, both for sellers as well as for buyers.

Apparently it already happened to me that I (must have) pressed the cancel button by mistake, in a most inopportune time. A mouse slip? Mmmm, maybe, I'm still not sure. But this would take care of SLIPUPS like this.

It wouldn't require Javascript, you could simply add an "Are you really really sure?" page.

anything that adds to or takes away from  security on SR I am against.

I  do not even want to install security updates from Tors official site because by now who knows  who is holding all the cards  with Tor.

If  one of the higher ups of SR has the skill set I would hope he or she could do security updates  for Tor as it only relates to SR and SR only and just let the rest of Tor grow out around us.

If such a thing is even possible.

Said I didn't want to did not say I did not.  Better to have something you think might be 90% secure than to have something you no is 100% unsecured without patching.  Reluctant updates were done indeed

That's good, there's so much tin foil hat in this place that it's actually detrimental to some peoples security. Tor was built by the American and Norwegian armies to assist government dissenters in places like Iran, it's no secret. It's also well known the American NSA provides a large number of the exit nodes, although this doesn't really make you less secure.
