Title: Always problems w/ connecting to SR via Midori on Liberte
Post by: sommersetmaugham on March 23, 2012, 08:17 am
It' s very frustrating using Midori (either regular or in Private Browsing mode) on Linux Liberte to try and load Silk Road and even stay connected to it; sometimes it doesn't even load at all, while most other sites do. There's always that very annoying Privoxy page that comes on suggesting that I disable Internet Connection Sharing or do something about Keep-Alive-Timeout. Well, the network-sharing is already turned-off and I don't know much about Keep-Alive-Timout. What's happening? Anybody?

Thanks

I already replied in another thread, but here goes; The problem is not Silk Road, but Midori; both Privoxy and Polipo are unsafe and should not be used. There is no need to use an additional proxy to get Firefox working with Tor. If you really want to use a live CD, use Tails.
