Title: Buyer stats and other newbie questions
Post by: dyametrikal on June 18, 2013, 12:30 am
How many 'newbie questions' posts have appeared in this forum... apologies if I'm rehashing old questions, but the forum search is returning an error :/

I'm fairly new and there's a couple of things I've been wondering about that I'm not seeing in the Wiki... if anyone can help me out that'd be great :)

- I see people posting their buyer stats. Where can I view mine?
- On that note, I know there's no buyer 'feedback' per se, but what does a seller see about a buyer? Is it the same stats mentioned above or is it more detailed?
- Is there a FAQ or other go-to resource anywhere about general bitcoin safety/precautions/anonymity (like about depositing/withdrawing BTC and how to make sure it's not traceable, etc)? My understanding is that SR tumbles your BTC at some point in the transaction chain - is there more detail about this somewhere? Particularly when does the tumbling take place - on deposit, on withdrawal, or during the actual transaction? I want to make sure I am taking all the reasonable precautions.

Thank you for your help everyone :)

There's a buyers guide that might answer some of your questions and give you a little more info.  I can't find the link at the moment, but once I do find it I'll post the link for you.  Welcome to the community!

Click on your account icon at the top of the page. On your account page there will be a list of links on the right hand side. That is where your purchasing stats are.

The vendors can see your auto-finalize rate, how many transactions you have made, I believe how many bitcoins you have spent on SR, and your refund rate.

I put my Bitcoins in a separate wallet before I transfer them to my SR wallet. Read the security forums and follow the experienced members' advice.
