Title: Vendor review threads - Dead or what?
Post by: Porn Star on September 02, 2013, 02:45 pm
I'm a pretty new vendor. 52 sales with mostly very positive feedback.

People have been leaving detailed feeback commentary on the road:

But if you check out my "official review thread" it's completely barron:

With the new feedback system, do you think I should even bother trying to get reviews on the forum? Or are vendor review threads dead?

Mine's pretty dead too. Been here since January and had 450+ transactions.
Not much we can do about it, except perhaps mention our threads on our pages and on forum posts.

Judging by a) how many sales SR is supposed to have (I read est. $1.2m per month!) and b) how few people come on the forums I guess a rather large percentage of SR users don't bother with the forums, except maybe as silent guests, and just buy their gear and run. I don't blame them, hanging around here does slightly increase the chance of getting caught....

I also suspect that most people who bother coming on here do so more often when they get burnt, to get their own back and to stop the person from burning anyone else, so in that sense you should be happy that your review thread aren't filled with negative reviews! But I would keep it up, maybe post some info/updates there as well as on SR to bump it to the top of the list every now and then - I'll bet even though people aren't going on there to leave reviews after they've received a shipment and got high, there are still plenty of people who will silently check it out before purchasing...

I agree, most don't use the forums except when they have troubles, others just to stir up shit.
Appreciate the few who write reviews, I know I do.
Thank you, reviewers.
