Title: bitcoin 0.6.2 on opensuse 11.2
Post by: sbaxter on June 10, 2012, 03:22 pm
Hi,

is ttere anyone who is using the newest bitcoin version on opensuse 11.1?

The bitcoin daemon seems to be running fine, but bitcoin-qt , the GUI, crashes instantly with a segfault...
Probably some QT problems, but i don't find find much on the topic in googleverse.

I tested this in a recent livecd and there is some package missing, run it in the terminal to see the error that reference missing library.
You can search in opensuse software under yast administrator settings.

Ok, thank you for your answers.

Yes, I am using 11.2, too lazy to upgrade the whole system since there are some users on my server, but
I should upgrade anyway.
btw: I have tried to run it from the terminal (I almost always use the shell, I hate those GUIs ;) ),
but got only a segfault, strace wasn't verys helpful either.
