Title: Litecoin????
Post by: visionenergy on April 12, 2013, 02:27 am
I'm relatively new to SR and BitCoin so I am unaware of many of the things out there related to it, but I've been seeing a lot of talk about Litecoin and even that SR could be switching to it.  I have a couple questions about this.  First.  What would make Litecoin a better option?  Couldn't the same thing happen to Litecoin that just happened to Bitcoin?

And how and where can you buy litecoin?  Is it pretty much the same as bitcoin?  I use mtgox and sometime bitfloor.  Does litecoin have sites like these that sell them?

Thanks Y'all

Litecoin is nearly identical to Bitcoin. The main difference is that it is harder to build computers for the purpose of mining them (ASICs).

It has all of the shortcomings of Bitcoin, except that it's worse because there's virtually no economy supporting it.

Atlantis, which was known for only accepting Litecoin, just started taking Bitcoin.

As far as I can tell, all the alternative *coins are useless.
