Title: Messaging vendors.
Post by: Goldteethguy69 on August 12, 2013, 04:49 pm
What is the accepted etiquette here? Is it OK to send a message via SR messaging so long as it is encrypted? does it need to be encrypted? Is there another mail service that is the standard?

Generally I think it is acceptable to send non encrypted messages as long as you are not discussing sensitive information.  I have messaged a few vendors with questions about their products and shipping but none of them have responded however - encrypted or not.

The main way to message a vendor is to message them via the main site, If it is anything incriminating such as discussing drug purchases then For your own security as well it is better to encrypt it, There is no reason not to really.
I would never tell a buyer not to encrypt a message.

Dont use privnote, Some vendors dont like it. Its easier to use PGP anyway.
