Title: Help Verifying Tails ISO
Post by: CiscoYankerStuck on December 02, 2012, 03:38 am
So I'm setting up a Tails USB and they recommend verifying the integrity of the ISO file before mounting it.  I'm using Kleopatra to verify and I keep getting "Invalid signature" as the output. I've never attempted to verify any other files before, so I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if the file's wrong. (I've also re-downloaded all the files and get the same results.)

I'm using "tails-i386-0.15.iso.pgp" as the "Input file".

I check the "Input file is a detached signature" option and use "tails-i386-0.15.iso" as the "Signed data".

I import "tails-signing.key" into Kleopatra, but don't do anything else with it.

Is this correct? I've also rearranged the use of these files in all 6 possible combinations, none of them gives me a verified ISO file.

Any help much appreciated.
