Ah thanks for this thread and the answer. Ive been getting this too and has been annoying the heck outta me. Even though everytime I get on tor I use a new identity.

Worst thing about the SMF system... imo. Should really be removed considering it does nothing to stop those bitcoin spamming robots.

This isn't quite how it works. The thing is EVERYONE is seen as being on the same connection as you are
Worst thing about the SMF system... imo.
postrex is right, this is because of the way SR has rigged SMF is that everyone appears to originate from 127.0.0.1 (check at the bottom right of any of your posts). This way there are no logs of which exit nodes were used when accessing the forum. The problematic thing is that this breaks the limit of searches/posts per IP over time, since it's now a shared limit.
