After having completed around 40 purchases - largely without a hitch - I have suddenly noted a sharp decline in the quality of service from our vendors. From vendors who take a really long time to process requests to vendors who simply don;t send the item. After the 40 positive experiences I have just had 4 trades that haven't come off. Is this a statistical anomaly or the start of a worrying trend?
Thoughts?

good vendors are few and far between on here
look around. all the best vendors from before are gone and some left with huge scamming
admin/dpr take forever to get rid off bad vendors because the bitcoins are still flowing in for them
forums/main site are rife with LE
my advice is to get out while you can

Yes, sage advice from the person with one post.
I haven't had that unfortunate experience yet, but I stick very close to just a couple of vendors. It may have something to do with the influx of SR users in general. The more people that are here there more the statistical rate of bad people we will get - including vendors. Additionally, vendors may be getting overwhelmed with orders from new buyers, etc.
I have found a vendor or two who, after having a few good buys, have shown me private listings that they only share with loyal and trusted customers. It's a way of making sure they only deal primarily with the cream of the crop. I like that idea and other vendors should consider it to help those of us who are quality buyers.

I will say it took me almost a month before making my first purchase because my head was spinning. Researching vendor after vendor and even then no matter who i looked at, the feedback on the forums and on the market make it seem like everyone is a selective scammer. Ii know from being a member of boards like this in the past that sometimes someone decides to start selling online under the assumption it's going to be just like selling to their 20 some odd friends locally. A lot of times they're not prepared for the massive influx of orders once your creditability starts to increase and become overwhelmed. I definitely wish sometimes i had the capital and connections to be a vendor but that's just not my reality. Everything goes through a life, death, life cycle. Hopefully we'll be heading back towards life soon. :) stay positive!!!!!!!
