Title: MedicineWoman
Post by: M8R-3jt393 on June 10, 2013, 07:27 pm
hi

I guess I am thankful to the guide... give a lot of hints on how to get things done...

BUT somewhere intrinsically/intuitively I am getting a feeling MedicineWoman is a LE spy or hacker...
If I find any specifics I will update the post...

Use her guide, but use your own discretion...
Try to understand bitcoins in details first in the real world...
buy some pizza or something... with real name on clearnet etc...

play with it for a month...

Then go figure how you can use TOR/SR etc to bTC transactions...

Good question.

BUT somewhere intrinsically/intuitively I am getting a feeling MedicineWoman is a LE spy or hacker...
If I find any specifics I will update the post...

This unfounded rumor is a continuation of the unfounded rumor started by topshelf1, alleging that MedicineWoman is LE:

http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=169398.30

The thread begins...
It makes perfect sense if you are trying to infiltrate Silk Road...

you pose as a vendor to get as many real names and addresses as possible...and then steer them to a website off of tor...which means you instantly snag their physical IP address...

This allegation stems from a misunderstanding about the SR ordering process. There is simply no way for me to remove the "Shipping address" box when folks place an order. That's built into the system, which was created with the assumption that people would only be selling physical products requiring a shipping address, not digital or informational products.

Given that the original accusation thread is long and meandering, you might want to scroll down to the comment from scout, Global Moderator and Hero Member:

As MedicineWoman has already pointed out, there's no way to edit anything in the SR ordering process as far as the vendor is concerned.  She specifically states on her listing (and yes, this was there even before this thread and its accusations were levied):

Quote
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I DO NOT NEED OR WANT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WHEN ORDERING!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I rest my case and remove myself from the discussion. Just view my listing and see for yourself:

Good question. M8R-3jt393 failed to give clues.

It's the continuation of another thread alleging that MedicineWoman is LE:

Given that the original accusation thread is 6 pages long and really yawn-producing, you might want to scroll down to the comment from scout, Global Moderator and Hero Member:

Stop spreading misinformation about medicinewoman. People have downloaded her guide and found no malicious software contained in file. Just do not send you address in the address box when you place the order. Why would you jump to a conclusion when you are buying beginners guides on how to understand SR? If you don't understand it please do not hurt a vendors reputation with a post like this.

I cant believe someone who is giving out a free guides is getting so much bad publicity!

I cant understand where the LE allegation comes from neither as she actually asks for less details than any1 else! lol

It is because a bunch of newbs think, wow, I have something to break loose to the SR community that no one knows yet. Then they go and post it like it is fact. When, in fact, it is based completely on opinion! Then the newb thinks that she asks for personal information because when placing the order there is a text box asking you for your address. Come on..... get some experience, then start to post!
