Title: Does anyone do Moneypak/Bank Account transfers for BCT anymore?
Post by: simplyanon on June 21, 2013, 01:18 pm
I see some people on the road offering, but holy shit, 15-20%?!!!? That's a bit on the extreme side when I only want one damn Bitcoin. :P Bitinstant has been unreliable at best lately, and I have moved on to using CoinBase, but the wait and the 'cleaning' process make it more trouble than it's worth, really. I just want a nice, quick, exchange so I can order some fun things. :)

Anyone? O.o Anyone at all?

Just be aware that there is NO Escrow for any BTC transactions on SR. If something goes wrong, you're screwed. RxKing is the most reliable vendor for coins if you're keen and live in the U.S.

When you think about it, it takes the vendor the same amount of time and effort to cash a small moneypak as a big one, so hence the higher fees on smaller ones. I don't know how long it takes to do it safely but say it's 30 minutes to process the order, cash it in, transfer the BTC, etc. I can't see a larger vendor doing that for less than say $20, which would be about 20% of a BTC at the moment.
