Title: SR prices before buy
Post by: Toysoldier on February 22, 2012, 01:31 am
New to SR, this might be a newb question.

Im gonna make my first purchase, but im confused as to whether or not the listed price for an item is what your supposed to pay or if you are supposed to contact seller before the transaction, due to the volatility of the bitcoin.

For example, a seller lists his product at 20bitcoins where a bitcoin is worth 5 USD.  Next week a buyer comes along and sees product for sale at 20 bitcoins, but now a week later, the bitcoin value is worth 8 USD.    The buyer is now paying much more than the product is worth.  How do SR vendors manage this? Do they alter their price dilligently with the value of the bitcoin or what?

SR automatically adjusts for bitcoin volatility should the vendor choose to peg his products' prices to the USD which most vendors do
