Title: Odor Absorbers?
Post by: SecretGarden on June 20, 2011, 01:44 pm
So what are the best odor absorbers to use when shipping pot?  Can I get them from a big box store in America?

I get that you need to avoid dryer sheets, and coffee.  Are there any others that I should avoid?

What odor absorbers do you use and do you alternate between several different absorbers at each layer of the triple vacuum seal?  I saw a couple suggestions for odor absorbers like Febreeze and something called like oxonium from Lowes.

When shipping USPS do you just use stamps on the outside of the package?  Are stamps on the outside of a package more suspicious than printed postage labels?

Never use odor absorbers. Everything should be double sealed and sterile. ANYTHING else besides completely neutral can be a tip off.

xxxnnn is correct.  DO NOT use odor absorbers because the dog can still smell the pot.  Vacuum seal the package, take it to another room that does not have weed in it and dunk it in a bleach, wash it off, then vacuum seal it again to make sure there is no contamination and no smell.  It may seem like a lot of effort but thats what you have to do to make sure your customers are safe

cover yourself head to toe wear hairnets, shave etc.  wear cloth gloves, put latex gloves over.  package your product as flat as possible, then vacuum seal.  place package in second vacuum seal bag, line with activated carbon, vacuum seal.  remove latex gloves and vacuum seal package in third bag with more activated carbon.  Do steps 1-2 for all doses/packets.  After all items are properly sealed with no trace of product proceed to package items for shipping with latex gloves removed.  Doing this will keep you from going through 20pairs of latex gloves (think of the environment dammit).  It would be a shame to go through so much trouble vacuum sealing bags only to contaminate the deliver package because the latex gloves were tainted.  Sealed package can also be washed in bleach before adding to delivery packaging.

I hope this all made sense.
