Title: I FE'd with a trusted vendor and now no contact/product. Any recourse?
Post by: hexdef on November 18, 2012, 09:28 pm
I finalized early with a vendor (One Stop Shop) and since then have no contact from the vendor. Like others with little history, many vendors request an FE.

Many of you (veterans) will likely say Never FE!, understandably so. On the other hand, vendors have this right if THEY have been burned by buyers doing a one off transaction.
Like the real drug world, maybe this is my 'serves you right' lesson. Too bad it is costly to me and reflects on all vendors as a whole.

My particular vendor, One Stop Shop, had a very good rating at the time of my order (October 28). Approximately:
" 98% positive feedback from more than 300 transactions"

Since that time others have been burned as well, leading me to believe we all picked the wrong time to purchase from someone whose previous professional dealings with buyers fell apart with, I'm assuming, his inability to be both a user and vendor of his product.

Long post, but wondering: Do I have any recourse at this point with SR admins or other parties?
Besides updating my feedback to 1/5 and adding detail to hopefully inform potential other buyers to stay away from the vednor, what else can I do?
Many new users do not use or know to research their vendors in the forums so, in all likelihood, One Stop Shop will continue to burn those who still purchase from him.

thanks

There is nothing that can be done if you FE'd. You decided to trust that vendor and that's your fault. Sorry friend.

I'm in the same situation with F16, OP. Contacted the admins and there's definitely nothing that can be done.
Why does the option to finalize early even exist? Seems like it just causes problems.
