Title: PGP HELP!!!!!!!
Post by: BABABOOEY on March 29, 2013, 12:57 am
Hey folks! Ok Ive got an USB flash drive and now im ready to download the GPGUSB program..This is where I get stuck. When I click download I get a pop up that reads "AN EXTERNAL APPLICATION IS NEEDED TO HANDLE: HTTP:........(address)..............." Then it states: "NOTE: EXTERNAL APPLICATIONS ARE NOT TOR SAFE BY DEFAULT AND CAN UNMASK YOU!"  At the bottom is an option to Launch the application or cancel....So confused about this PGP stuff....I just wanna put my first order in already and have everything encrypted and ready to go. Any help is appreciated thanx!

Do you need to use TOR to download it? I just setup a usb with Liberte, it came with everything I needed installed already.

Download that in your clearnet browser. (The non tor browser)

Best program i have used with a simple graphics user interface.

A clearnet browser is just your normal browser, and dont have Tor running when you do it.

Cant help with the other question.

It will only go onto your USB if that is where your downloads are set to be dl'd to(not likely), but have no fear! Just download it to wherever default is c>users>*insert user name here*>downloads. Just drag and drop from there. Hope this helps.
