Title: importing pgp public keys: how?
Post by: mugwump on March 07, 2012, 08:27 pm
I'm having trouble importing keys to my software. I have both gpg tools and pgp desktop, but none can do the job. Mac user here.

I copy the keys to a .txt file, but when I try to import it the file is greyed out. What the software wants is a file not ending in .txt, but I'm not so sure on how to get it.

Any help appreciated.

I use a mac and use gpg keychain access. When you are looking to import to this, just use your text edit that is standard on all macs and save to your desktop- save as/rich text format. Then just import into gpg and you should be good to go.

thanks mate. still had to add the .asc extention manualy. adding extensions sometimes leads to nowhere, but it's all good now :)
cheers!
