Upon having encounter numerous reputable vendors that have gone beyond the normal to deliver product, and have an excellent service. I found myself doing account -> account transfers to send some of my spare bitcoins to show my appreciation to the vendor. Here is the breakdown
Include tipping as a new means of buyer stats - This will show who the good buyer's are, and also give extra incentive for the vendor to act promptley and with integrity. However, make sure that you can only tip after finalization of a order. This is a demo of how I invision the buyer stats looking :
Total transactions: XXX
Total spent: $XXXX.XX
Refund rate: X%
Auto-finalize rate: X%
Member for: X months
Total Tips: XX
Total Tip percent: X%
Include tip stats on vendor header stats - This will allow good and honest buyers to be able to gauge if the vendor puts in the extra effort to earn his rep. This is how I feel like these stats should be presented to the buyer.
ranked in the top X% of sellers with X% positive feedback from XXX transactions
has 16 fans {[become a fan]}
has been tipped XX times with an average of earning a X% tip
I really would like to see this idea used. I feel as if this is just the basis of my idea, and as a reputable buyer of the community, I felt obliged to get feedback on this idea. I feel like this could be a very big improvement to SR! Please let me know what you think.

I would tip a coin or two every once in a while.

I'm for it as long as the tips are anonymous. I only feel this way because without that then you're going to have people paying "tips" to get product before others who have paid just the same.

that is why I stated that tips should be available only after finalization of the order. I just feel as if this is a great way to add more stats to help weed out the scammers.

I like it! Shit, I tipped Anarcho just for helping me out when I first got here a 4 or 5 months ago. I've never even ordered from him, but his help was invaluable to getting me on the right track when I was a newb. But I agree with them being anonymous to vendors, just a general stat like the new ranking percentages.
Vendors could tell right away if a buyer was a bullshit scammer looking for a half priced order, or a genuine member of the community just based on this.

I don't think vendors should be able to see a tip amount, times tipped or anything. Again, then they are going to only want to work with those buyers. If you aren't making enough on your quoted prices, then raise them.
A purely anonymous tip would be a great little "thank you" to a vendor and getting one would make them wonder who it was and then work harder on EVERY order. I think you'd start seeing vendors adding criteria to order on top of x amount of transactions and x% refunds (which are legit things to know for a vendor) to things like "don't tip? Don't use my service" stuff like that. If you have a good relationship with a vendor and they go out of their way to help you, that's awesome. I've had a couple myself. Feel free to let them know they are appreciated but I don't think having a tip stat is a good idea. That crosses your relationship with one vendor and either makes other vendors pissed they didn't get tipped or they'll use it to extort money from newbs. Just my thoughts. I don't think the majority of vendors here are out to extort money but we're having too many scams here lately and well known vendors pulling shady shit.
