Title: Is PIN necessary if I want to make a transaction?
Post by: Lockjaw on April 26, 2012, 10:25 am
As you've probably figured out already, I'm new here. I didn't set a PIN when I was registering and I read somewhere that it takes a few days for a PIN to reset after a few failed attempts at inputting it.

Is that really necessary? Can't a mod/admin just do it right away?

Or maybe I can just create another account and transfer the Bitcoins from the old one to the new one... Help me out here.

Ahhhh. Wowza, never seen this one before.

Didn't set a pin when registering...uhrm...why?

Also, the double acct thing would work I guess. But I think having multiple accts. on SR main is generally frowned upon. I'd message support and be patient. But that's just me.

Also, make sure you read up on your vendors and use escrow. I'd hate to see you make your first purchase and get conned.

Your PIN is the "second password" you created when joining the site. It's a terminology mix-up, but they're the same thing.
