Title: Shipping within the same city?
Post by: TheFunGuy on July 06, 2013, 09:35 pm
quick question everyone. Is it by any means a faux pas to ship priority box to someone in the same city (will it raise any flags to the postal workers)? I will absolutely not deliver it myself but I was just wondering if shipping like this is a common occurance?
Thanks  :)

More and more I think about it, I believe it should be fine to ship within the same city. Just kinda weird and a first for me. I'd still like to hear anyone's thoughts on the subject.

Depends on the size of the city & your shipping methods. A small mail order business is going to ship to everyone no matter the location - if you buy from someone on Amazon it's not likely they'd contact you & have you come pick it up even if you do live in the same zip code - but obv this is more likely to happen in large cities & w/ those who are mailing frequently. If it's a one-time thing, yes it will stand out more than the usual.

Can't you just get a courier or bike messenger to do it?
