Hey all, so I've been a lurker for quite some time now and I'm just setting up my GPG/Tormail things. However when I try to add my Tormail account to Thunderbird, Thunderbird keeps failing to find the settings for my email account. I have my Tor browser open and I can access my Tormail, yet Thunderbird still fails to find my settings, even after I updated the server settings to the ones provided by the help section on the Tormail website.
There's a screenshot with Tormail logged in with Thunderbird not working.
Any help? Thanks in advance!
edit: Maybe this belonged in the tech support section. Sorry.

I wouldn't bother....I started trying to do this and couldn't get it working. Then I realised do I really want all my tormail stuff saved on my computer? Even if you delete all incriminating stuff some trace will be left (i think!) You are surely better just accessing your tormail through TOR itself. Then your computer is not connected to the account directly. Just use thunderbird for regular mail.

Alright, I get that I guess. But I was only setting up Thunderbird with Tormail so I can send GPG encrypted mail from my mac. How else should I do it? What did you do?
edit: nevermind got it all figured out :) now time to encrypt my computah and order some goodz

Well just in case anyone wants to know: I use GPA which you can install as part of the GNUPG package. It's useful as it has a clipboard you can copy/paste stuff to/from.
To import a public key(of the person you want to send message to) select it and copy it to Notepad. Save the .txt file somewhere. Then go to Import in GPA and browse to the .txt file you just saved. Open it and it will import the key.
Then go to GPA clipboard, write message, and encrypt using the key. You can then copy/paste the encrypted message into wherever you need to. The good thing about this is you can use it for PM s or wherever.
I realise this is basic stuff but I just thought I would post what I have found to be simplest solution.
