The only way I've ever been able to find a seller's profile is to click on their seller name in "recent feedback:" on the SR start page. If the seller's name is not on the "recent feedback:" section then the only other way to view their profile is through a listing they have, or a posting made by that seller where a link to his profile is included. I'm trying to get back to the profile page of a seller but there's no way to get to his page since he hasn't made any recent sales or listings.

For that you must have usernames ID number.
But that is protective measure because then everybody could see buyer/vendor profile page with all information with search option.
For vedors that is ok, but for buyers is not necesary that everone could see when he open account and his last login.
I agree that vendor and buyers should be somehow two different catogory and that searach option works only for vendors no matter of active listings.

But it's easy to get a SR member's user ID when they post something on the SR site. Just hover your mouse over their name and you'll see their user # in the lower left corner of the page (it might show up in the top right corner on some browsers). By going to the Opioids section I can hover over your listing and see that your user ID is 12995.
Or you can just surf through the user listings by doing this:

Replace ??? with the user ID you're looking for. User ID is not a secret, there just isn't a way to view a seller's profile unless that seller has a current listing, or if you can remember their user ID. But there should be a way to view a seller's profile even if they don't have a current listing.

Yes I know that with hoovering your mouse over vendors username, but if they have not active listing then you can not find ID# unless they have feedback on SR home page.
So I agree with you that we can find vendor with his username with search option.
