With Virtex you can walk in to any RBC and deposit to them, give a fake name and good to go.  ;) Can't be traced back to you.

rottentoe,

When's the last time you deposited at the RBC?  They ask for picture ID now.

And, unless you verify your account at virtex with ID you are limited to $1000 in 90 days.

I thought of setting up more virtex accounts, but that doesn't help with the RBC asking for ID now.

I'm looking around for another way to get BTC.  Going to see if Walmart here carries moneypak, which seems to be what a lot of vendors accept for BTC.

Damn, I hate my UN.  I sent VirtEx cash through RBC on 4/20. No i.d asked for. Did ask for a name but members on here warned me to have a name ready so no problem there. If they do you can always say you left it at home. I was not planning on buying big, only put in 70 bucks.  If wal-mart has them come back and post, I've been curious myself.

I am most likely going to the library today to try and use canadianbitcoin or maby virtex not sure yet. Do you have to go to your bank to make the deposit? Or can I go to a western union or something? And I was wondering if someone could explain a little more about moneypak?? cause i might also go to wallmart and check it out....

Yeah....true... and trust me I HATE giving I.D. to anyone or any institution. But I feel safe enough using SilkRoad via Tor that LE is going to have a helluva a time linking you to any specific account or transaction. Once it leaves Virtex I am pretty confident that it would be VERY complicated to trace. IMO unless I was attracting local attention or moving tons of product (on par with Tony) I wouldn't worry too much about it. Using Virtex seems a helluva lot safer in comparison to a lot of other than a lot of other popular means of buying Btc's. Of course... you may know something  I don't (?). Having spent at least a week looking into the options in the Great White North I recommend Virtex. Peace.
