Title: I need help from a chemist
Post by: tinytim on January 29, 2012, 01:48 am
Hi guys,

I am writing a review on cocaine.  One of the things I need to do is remove levamisole from cocaine.

I am intelligent and skillful, but I have no background in chemistry so I am unable to do this.  I could however do it if someone was willing to help me with chemistry questions.  I do not need any help beyond a large amount of advice which we could do via anonymous messaging.

The biggest problem I'm facing is that levamisole shares many characteristics with cocaine so it is hard to identify, let alone separate.  For example Levamisole HCl and Cocaine HCl are both soluable in water (but not acetone), and Levamisole (base) and Cocaine (base) are both soluable in acetone but not in water.

I have discovered how to rebasing and then recrystaliz into the HCl derivitive which helps for most compounts, but I do not believe it will help with levamisole because the characteristics are too similar.  I have also learned how to filter via soluability, but I do not believe that will help either for the same reason.

If anybody who is a chemistry guru is willing to help me that would be fantastic.  I would be willing to pay for your time as well.  Send me a message on silk road if interested ( http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php/messages/send_message/84250 )

thanks,
-tt
