Just curious if anyone has any experience with counterintelligence? I know it probably sounds like some far-fetched fantasy out of a spy thriller but honestly, if someone were to follow you, for whatever reason, would you know they were following? If you were under surveillance, electronic or otherwise, would any of us be able to tell?
For what ever reason this aspect of the intelligence community, the cloak and dagger, the clandestine stuff, has always appealed to me. I think one of my favorite films is All the President's Men because those things really happened. Woodward had to switch cabs and listen to Mark Felt's advice on how to get to that parking garage so they could meet at 2:00 in the morning to exchange info on Nixon and Watergate.
So, has anyone ever read any old CIA manuals or FBI manuals or police department manuals on this stuff? Has anyone ever taken one of those urban survival courses where they teach these things? I'm curious to learn techniques or even hear people's experiences.
