If you haven't bought any of our mushrooms on Silk Road, then you probably don't know "Mad Hatter Travel". That's what we call our little grow operation.
For years, we have had a small little grow operation, but only grew for ourselves and close friends. About 6 months ago, we decided to expand our operation and enter the Silk Road marketplace. This was done as much out of a labor of love and a commitment to freedom lovers everywhere, as it was a commercial endeavor. While a few extra bucks coming in has been nice, we weren''t getting rich from selling domestic boomers on Silk Road.
Things were going fairly well for us. We were selling our product on SR faster than we could grow it. But then tragedy struck. We were hit with a mushroom grower's greatest fear.
Infection had invaded our grow space.
When growing mushrooms, the expression "cleanliness is next to godliness" really applies. We found ourselves in a situation where all of our mycelium would get infected with this nasty mold as soon as we popped things out of the jars and into terrariums. We would grow them nicely for 6 weeks or so, but then when it came time to harvest, things got sick.
After several weeks of trying to clean everything, we kept getting a recurrence of our infection. The only solution was to completely shutdown our grow operation, scour all of our workspace from top to bottom, and start over from scratch.
It has been 2 long months (about how long it takes to go from spore to edible mushroom), but we're finally back and our product seems to be growing nicely and infection free.
To celebrate getting our listings back on Silk Road, we're offering a $10 credit towards a future purchase to anyone who buys a 1/4 oz of our top-shelf, organic boomers.
Take a look at our feedback. We offer a great product at a fair price. Now that we got boomers booming again, we want to share in our bounty.

I feel your pain.... trich is such a bitch. It usually hits my grows long before fruiting stage though. Congrats on beating it down!

Ouch. I feel for you. I have only done very small scale but it hurts when that happens, and has put me off of the whole process. Really glad to hear things are looking up and best of luck to you!
