Title: Bitcoin question: network fee?
Post by: z3n on May 10, 2013, 08:33 pm
Hi :)

I'm trying to understand the whole bitcoin thing, and I have a hard time understanding where the bitcoin network fees go. I understand that their reason is to avoid too many transactions 'spamming' the network with crap and creating some kind of ddos, and that somehow the money goes to the miners, but how does it get to the miners?

I mean when they discover a new block, they 'earn' (or create) 25BTC, right? Then when do they get those transaction fees money?

If anyone can explain that to me, it would be great!

Cheers!

Hi

Thanks for your answer, tho I don't find the answer in the wiki.

It seems like the miners get 25 BTC (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/FAQ#Mining) isn't it?
