Title: My first order on SR
Post by: whosthis on July 17, 2011, 09:14 am
Hi

Made my first order on SR and used my home address with an opposite sex fake name.
Now I have been reading the forums and got a bit worried for using the fake name.

How big of a chance is it, that the mailman will request that fake-name person to sign the parcel? I have no idea, which kind of a letter it will be. If it's just a standard letter, they will probably just drop it off in the mailbox and there's nothing to worry for. And I assume it wouldn't make much sense for the seller to send the type of letter, which would need delivery confirmation.
It's probably just the most standard mail, right? :)

Both me and the seller are from EU and the stuff I ordered is just tiny bits of paper. ;)

it's done so don't worry. Fake names work most of the time, but you are right that using a real name is usually safer. I have no idea about EU signing rules but most likely you will not have to.

Make it blend in, use the very most common thing you can. Packages should be completely indistinguishable from anything else you get delivered to your house.
