Well im curious about whether I should use a fake name with my own address?
I have had a deliver by UPS with a fake name arrive to my address, but im curious if Canada post would be different and not deliver it if a fake name is used.
In the event of an order made with canada post would using my real name be an issue? I know the buyers guide section states to use a fake name with a friends address but what if no one is willing to use their address for the order. Any input would be appreciated thanks. and be safe.

Dont use a fake name. CanadaPost delivery drivers are lazy pricks .. often times they just leave a slip for you to pickup your package at the post office. When this happens and you have no ID, the package is unrecoverable.

Ok say i use my real name. will they require signature then upon delivery??
i mean why leave a slip when they can jus put in the door mailbox

Depends how the item was sent and if the sender asked for it.
Priority Courier needs signature ... Xpresspost its optional.
If the item is small enough to be put in the mailbox, then real name or fake name is irrelevant. But if its a box, large envelope, tube or something then dont use a fake name.

OK i understand. so lets say im order some pebbles from OPI.
it should be small enough for standard letter mail. I can use a fake name and it wouldn't make a difference? And if i choose xpress post I doubt the sender would make the delivery require signature.. so my best bet is jus to use standard letter mail with fake name and my own address? the mailbox is on my door and dropping it would be physically in my house.

Yes.
Confirm with the vendor their shipping methods first though ... because with a fake name there is no retrieval methods if they dont put it in the mailbox.
Peace.

If you use a fake name, order something cheap first to test it out and then if it works go for something more epensive. You may also want to start sending other mail with that address to make it seem more normal, like someone new just moved in with you. Letters could also be used as a defense to say that clearly there's been some mistake.

I am a Canadian Vendor here and I send all packages Registered Mail/oversized envelope $14.95 up to 200g there is no signature required & you get a tracking # so you know the vendor shipped the package and see where it is
