Title: i2p vs Tor
Post by: wanna-be on July 21, 2012, 11:48 am
I can't remember where, but I know I have read that i2p has more nodes and is much slower than Tor.  Is there any truth to this?  If so, wouldn't this make i2p safer than Tor?  And are there i2p versions of the same .onion addresses?

I2P has over twice as many routing nodes as Tor does, but Tor is used by an order of magnitude more people. This makes I2P fast compared to Tor. It has a bit of a different threat model, I suggest against it personally.

Can you elaborate on this some, please?
