BTC go up and down all of the time.
You got to be quick about placing a order.

Yes, BTC is highly volatile. Many vendors list their prices in USD, and SR converts it to BTC based on the current exchange rate. I always transfer a little extra BTC when I'm making a purchase to prevent this from happening

Agreed with last two posters.

One time prices went on a little dive and I noticed vendors were adjusting their prices to keep them at same USD price

always have extra.

On a slightly unrelated note, when calculating the proper amount of bitcoins to buy, don't go buy the "Last Price" like on Mt.Gox, SR goes by the Weighted Average. They can vary greatly, but they almost always vary slightly, and it can make a big difference on how much money you actually end up with.

I can't tell you how many times I've made sure I had at least $20 extra, transfer my funds to SR, and find out I'm literally less than a dollar short, wondering where the fuck my money went.  ::)
