Hi,
In the past 5 years I can count the times Ive smoked weed on one hand. When I did smoke for ten years prior to basicaly quitting I really only got nugs maybe once or twice a year.
Now that I dont smoke any more, its funny, I havent even seen any midgrade since, lol. Now that I cant smoke any more all my friends have is good fire dank.
Anyways, my wife of 5 years has a medical condition called vulvadinea (spelling?). She gets a very painful burning sensation in here vagina while trying to penetrate. The docs have prescribed valium to relax her muscles, because when the pain starts everything done there tightens up, 15mg and all she gets is a little sleepy but it does not help.
Only thing that works is Weed, I will not let her smoke any swag, that shit stinks. So, what would be a good strain for pain relief, thinking something with a good body buzz would help, Thanks.
BTW, please refrain from any smart ass comments about me, or my sex life, this has taken a hell of a toll on our marraige and we are ready to try anything, Thanks.

Hi there, hope this doesn't come off as a smart ass comment but you might want to think about seeing if she would be game for trying a mild dose of MDMA (75-90mg). From what I understand about the condition, it's not just a physical thing but psychological as well. The anticipation of the pain creates sort of a feedback loop that makes the pain even worse. A lot of people drop MDMA into the hard drug category so it might be an uphill fight with her but honestly before it was scheduled in the states it was used extensively for helping people confront and overcome anxiety which I think would be half of your battle here.
If you do end up going the MDMA route you'll want to make sure you both know what you are getting into so it's a nice controlled and productive experience. They are treating people with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with the stuff in trials right now and it goes a long way toward curing the people rather than just treating the symptoms like weed would.
If you do go the weed route though you'll probably have some success. It's been my experience that with woman in particular, weed is a mild aphrodisiac and clearly a pain mitigator. If you are lucky, you might even live in a state where you can get a prescription and forgo all the crap weed for some medical grade primo.
I can imagine the condition is quite frustrating for both of you so I hope you find a good solution.

Bubba kush, that stuff numbs my back after a hard day like no other.
I also wonder if high CBD strains would be good for this because they really loosen you up compared to the regular strains, you might want to look into that.

try edibles or like vaporizer if she can't smoke. like that nothing harmfull affects her.
and just work with strong indica'
like a nice BubbaKush. like Space' said.

+1 for everyone, my first +1's ever!!! LoL!!!
I am all for the MDMA, gosh I havent done it in years, way before it was called "Molly", lol. My wife has never consumed any drugs beside Weed and a little hash, so she is hesitant, Ill work on that though.
As far as the Bubba Kush, thats exactly what I was thinking, shes smoked it before with my best friend B, my wife calls it "B Weed", haha.
I live 600 miles from home and my business really dosent lead to meeting connects so we havent really been able to try this unless we were on vacation back home. Thank God for silkroad, maybe it can help my marraige. To bad Im not in a Medical state, my wifes docs already said she would be eligible, maybe one day.
Thanks alot guys,

My experience with pain relief (I have a very fucked up back - scoliosis, and bad at that) has been that pot actually STOPS the pain, not just slightly (like Tylenol), and not like hydrocodone/acetomenaphen, which helps somewhat and makes you not care a bit. I had been seeing a pain mgmt doctor and was prescribel 10/625 hydro. This gave me the opportunity to do a side-by-side "taste test", if you will. One day I would take a Norco and see how well it worked, then I would, on another day use only a bit of weed (1 or two tokes). I made certain I was not under ANY influence of either (I wanted to be "scientific" andhave a valid experiment with both). Result: hands down, the weed actually STOPPED the pain, and seemed to loosen me up, that is, I could move around easily, no stiffness. I had suspected this for almost 2 decades, and I actually read a news article comfirming this, done by real peer-reviewed scientists, so I knew it wasn't just imagined on my part.
The doc cut me off of the pain meds because I tested + for pot (duh), and I told him that's fine, weed works so much better. He told me several other of his patients said the same thing; he didn't want the DEA coming in & closing his practice down for giving [schedule II?] narcotics to someone taking Sched. I illegal drugs (pot). I had no problem with this, and told him I would keep toking.
I hope I didn't ramble too much, forgive me if I did. 8)

Bull,
You right, I wish i could smoke weed too. If I told my doctor I smoked, I would lose my job, no doctor patient confidentiality where I work, lol. +1 too you friend.

Doctors, sometimes one get's the impression that they prescribe whatever for whatever, I mean Valium ... stuff makes you a braindead zombie and is a 'symptom' killer.
For cannabis and your wife's problem... I don't know what the best strain would be, it may even work contraproductive depending on amount of CBD/CBN/THC-x and you may think that you buy strain A or Z but with all the copy paste, namedropping these days, you are not really sure.
For Vulvodynia (correct spelling), that is a very wide definition but could have a lot of causes: Neuropathic pain, Infection, Inflammation, some auto-immune disorder, ... without knowing the root cause you can't provide a cure.
I think that your doctor really sucks if the info you gave is correct.
Peace!

Doctors do suck, but yea, the most enjoyable sex for her she is either drunk or high (on weed) so we know it works. I dont want a sloppy drunk wife, plus alcohol is way worse for you than weed, so we both agree smoking pot is the best way to go. We are working with her doctors, another way to remedy this situation is with a botox injection down there. Seriously, I dont know exactly what it does but it has been said to work especially among the women on the online support groups. Only thing is its hard to get a referal for that, I guess Valium is cheaper, and it is to expensive for us to have to do possibly once a year.
She has some agent orange on the way, from farmer bob. I know yall recomended Bubba Kush but my wife has only smoked maybe 20 times in her life and she really cant tell the differance between strains. As long as it isnt swag, she definitely knows the differance between Nugs and border bud, lol.

On a slight tangent, how does one tell the difference between indica and sativa? I have grown some weed in a closet in the past - most of the plants had rich green and somewhat broad leaves with large serrations, but once one of the plants was producing foliage that was distinctively purple-ish in color, with thinner leaves and finer serrations. That paticular plant would give a respectible high, but after about 15-20 minutes it would hit you so hard as to make you totally stupid - it was a "creeper" weed. It was definitely a good pain-killer. This may be the subject of another thread -telling apart varieties of weed. Just a tangent that I've wondered about for years as I've never encountered such weed since.

this is why marijuana needs to be medically excepted everywhere
because when buying weed of the street you have no idea the THC/CBD %
i dont ever smoke weed anymore because its all the super high THC stuff and makes me go insane
and i use it for pain, insomnia and bad hangovers once in awhile so i don't care to get the high from THC just the CBD benefits.
hope you get things figured out and my opinion stay away from pharmaceuticals

I've tried many different edibles for pain - the best I've used is the Butterscotch Pops from Angelina. Plus, delivery/stealth/potency are all very good. She is one of SR's best kept secrets!

Agree on the idiot THC pimping culture, makes medical users look like drugged up, non-working, non productive junks.
For the last 15 years some idiot breeders (and idiot seedbanks that ask them to breed) are making THC monsters.
Now on CBD/THC there are some valuable strains out there, but also don't get fooled by the overpriced CBD strains on the market, one of the strains with excellent medical properties is Green Dragon from Master Thai (google that) and original Citral.
Stay away from whatever strain that has Skunk#1 or Original Haze in it (eg Amnesia) the introduction of Skunk #1 (or skunk as a whole) and Original Haze fucked up a lot, some people claim that Skunk #1 was engineered in a lab the US and extradited to The Netherlands, some sort of behind the scenes attack to make some things look bad (or in the hope that high THC would make people instant psychotic hence the end of the liberal drug policy over here)
And yes, we need a global policy change but we don't want the same companies making drugs that kill you to patent a plant, put it in a pill and patent it.
We all know what happened once Monsanto started their genetically engineered seed business and cross-pollination/contamination.
Peace

I've been working through different strains for several months for pain relief and joint stiffness etc.

Hi greenturtle - that's a shame for you guys and I hope you find something that helps.
Earlier this week I was exploring darknet sites (as one does lol!) and came across some surprisingly good books/magazines to download on the Tor Library (http://am4wuhz3zifexz5u.onion).
I downloaded a few things and a very informative read (160 pages in all!!) was:
Treating Yourself - The Alternative Medical Journal (It's printed in Canada and focusses purely on MJ)
You can find 29 issues to download in the MAGAZINE section. Given they are not the latest issues, I'll hazard a guess if you have the time you might find some really useful info.
On another note - BashfulBetty has a few good products - her Outdoor Indica is super and she also makes Marijuana butter which gives lovely glow for a Saturday night although I'm not quite sure what the analgesic effects would be.
Good luck!
