So i made an extremely noob mistake and i have learned from it and i am here to make sure that no one else makes the same mistake. I was desperate for some coins about 5 to 7 days ago and i went to my local store and purchased a 500$ moneypak, well when i got home i sent a message to CaptMal but he couldn't do the transaction at that time, which was totally cool and i understood. Out of being reckless and desperate for some coins i made the mistake of messaging a vendor in the money section offering to buy moneypaks for coin. This vendors name was Cocezero. I looked at his feedback and all seemed well, he had been around for about a month or so, also his fee was considerably less *in retrospect a red flag*. I made a few mistakes here, the first one was that i private messaged him and asked him if he would do the transaction, my mistake was not buying his add so i could have left feedback, pretty much a buyers only safeguard, imo. He messaged me back saying he could do the transaction and for me to message him my moneypak # ect so i copy and pasted a privnote link containing the info. when he immediately sent back a message saying that someone had just bought his last 400 btc and that he was sorry he couldn't do it but he through in the fact that the link to my privnote wouldn't open for him and that he would message me back in 8 hours when he had more coins and could do the transaction. I immediately realized i got screwed, and tried to open the link to the privnote and when i did it said that the note had been opened 3 min. prior and had been destroyed. I freaked but knew there was nothing i could do but pray that address really had broken for him and that he didn't take the number. Well the next night i eventually got back in contact with CaptMal and gave him the number to the card that i thought had been drained but wasn't sure. He messaged me back quite quickly informing me that the balance of the card and my worst fear was realized. I eventually went to the store and bought another card and performed my prior attempted transaction only this time to success, Captmal is a very trusted vendor by the way, he really helped me out after i screwed myself over with my bad decision making. Thanks again, CaptMall. I don't really know what action to take at this point, i just wanted to make sure that no one else falls into the same trap as i did. 500$ was a big loss for me, don't let it happen to you. Thanks. stash.

I see posts about people losing BIG money with MP->BTC everyday. There has got to be a way to put in some new safeguards for these types of transactions? It's just too easy for someone to create a BTC vendor acct and then they just lie and take all the BTC they want as it seems there is no shortage of people to feed them.

Common sense rule no1. Don't keep your fucking year of birth in your username. eg: they have 100 suspects but they know the guy they're looking for is born on 1993 that lowers the number to 3 suspects. For your sake and I know you will say that is not your year of birth, after a closer look at your username I realized that 93 is the year you got married.
Rule no2. Virtue is its own reward.
There is no rule no3.

Oh my god...I read your comment and thought, "Damn kids" but then I realized that people born in 1993 are fucking 19 years old...christ I'm old...

he has always done right by me in cashing my mp's. and he's also been a pretty stand up guy. I wont go into details but he helped me out when other vendors would have told me to fuck off. hope everything goes well. the OP might be a troll who knows.
