Title: anybody else worked on the rigs before? offshore\drilling\production?
Post by: dolphy7835 on July 08, 2013, 02:03 pm
Worked on them for two years, then got my license suspended last dec, so i was forced to take a break. Going back out in the next month and can't wait. I work the derricks on daylight rigs, but can work the floors too. It can be some dick-in-the-dirt hard as labor, but i still love it. Only thing that's gonna suck are the random UA's at least once a month.

I've not worked a rig, but spent a few years in a closely related job, driving a truck for a service company. I'm in oilpatch country, where there's tons of natural gas wells in the area. One of the main industries around here, along with farming and ranching. Oilpatch is a different lifestyle, there's no explaining it to people who live in cities. Good luck!!
