Title: Help! - How to pay for orders
Post by: qwerty9105 on September 19, 2012, 07:34 pm
Hi,

I am a newbie. I have finally figured most things out (I think) and have got bitcoin in the SR account. Found a product to buy and using my PIN, placed the order. What i don't know is how i actually pay for it. I can't find any help on this.

Any nice people out there willing to explain i would be very grateful.

Cheers

hmm. don't think i quite understand. once you find the product you want, simply press ADD TO CART. then it will redirect you to your shopping cart. there you put your address / drop .. and under that put in your 4 digit PIN. under that you'll see a button "PLACE ORDER". once you click that, your order is placed.
if you go under ORDERS immediately after that, you'll see your order is "Processing"
from that point on it has been sent to the vendor and you're good to go.
depending on the vendor's FE (finalize early) policy .. you might have to FINALIZE (FE) the order before it ships. that information is usually displayed on the vendor's profile.
so like i said, once you hit the "Place Order" button, your order has been submitted.

what happens is the bitcoins are taken out of your balance and put into an escrow. that escrow keeps the funds in the SR system and is not released to your vendor until the order is complete.. that means once you receive your product(s) you ABSOLUTELY MUST IMMEDIATELY click on FINALIZE .. so your vendor can RECEIVE his/her bitcoins from the SR escrow system.

hope you have a clearer picture.

normally the vendor has to mark the package as in transit ( or 4 days have passed i think)) before the finalize button is available and only FE if the seller has requested it normally you would get the package and then finalize. If you are a new buyer and FE is a requirement I would state that you understand the terms  in the initial communication box( address box)  I am sure you have learnt PGP and included you key with your correspondence
