Title: Interest check cheap P. cubensis
Post by: Sc0re on November 01, 2012, 10:25 pm
I've come across a cheap supply of very potent P. Cubensis magic mushrooms. I'd like to know if there's much interest in these. The selling price would be about 15 euro's for 15 grams of fresh shrooms or the dried equivalent. For those of you who don't know 15 grams is considered a strong trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can not speak for the Euro market, but if it is anything like the US market...there is always room for you. The US market is actually hurting a bit right now and the vendors that are vending have apparently jacked prices in the midst of all the "regular vendors" being sold out.

Point is, you may be even be able to move in a bit on the US market if you prices are competitive enough (I do not know how US vs. Euro prices differ)

Good Luck!

Well thanks for the quick replies guys. Wonder Monkey, 15 euro's equals 12 GBP at current rates, is that cheap enough to be interesting for you? Shipping would go by priority mail and would therefore take as little as two days up to a week. I'm getting my funds ready now and hope to have a stock of up to 400 grams by the end of the month. Nicely in time for the holiday season. Keep an eye out for my thread or ask me to PM you when the listing's up. Shroomeister, the price of 15 euro's equals a bit over 19 USD at current rates. Would that be competitive?

I wouldn't consider 15g fresh to be a strong dose. 15g is probably mild-average.

£12 would be reasonable. Works out at £8/g for dried. On the expensive side of street prices though.

We have had different experiences with the shrooms then. What would you concider a strong dose? I'll keep the price thing in mind, good to know. Thanks again for the info.

I'd consider 2.5-3g to be a strong dose.

1.5g is the kind of dose I'd advise to people just starting out with shrooms.

15g - Fresh or dried? I would assume dried as that is what most vendors vend, fresh is not stable for very long. Turns into a gooey soup of gross before too long.

I re-read your first post.

You absolutly want to go with the dry equivilent which is -90%.

So 15g fresh = 1.5g dry

With that measure (and using Euros)

USUAL prices on SR are

14g (dry)  - 66 to 93 Euro
28g (dry) - 116 to 156 Euro

... I  can not speak to anything smaller as I do not follow the market on anything smaller then that.

With that arithmatic your prices are a bit high....BUT..... that is in conversion to the US price market. Have you ever looked at how "expensive" the prices are in Australia?

All about supply and demand. Sorry I can not be more help on the matter.

Well I haven't decided yet but I think dried. I've had fresh ones through the mail and within Europe it works very well. The downside would be mostly in keeping the stock fresh and shipping to high risk countries where it takes longer for mail to get through. I have a fair bit of experience drying mushrooms and it's no trouble at all. The price in the first post is for fresh but as wonder monkey kindly pointed out that's on the expensive end of the price scale. Your price indication is most helpful, even if it is the US price market. My goal as a vendor is to sell the highest possible quality at the lowest possible price so if my prices are on the high end of the market that just means I have to cut on buying costs.

You sound like a smart person....and that goes a long way around here.

Unfortunately it is not an apples to apples comparison.

the difference between markets (US/Euro) and the difference between fresh/dried is too much for us to make a comparison.

Also it is great to hear that you have success shipping fresh locally. Not a lot of people (that im aware of) do it. While dry is 10% of fresh, I think there is a market for fresh and a premium to be had. For people that have never had fresh; there are more actives that are lost when dried. Is it a world of difference? no.

But the right people would pay a premium for the luxury that are fresh.

So there's a few more points to consider.

Finally. You will sell one way or the other if you become a vendor. Get your vendor account and list them on the "high side" and see if they move. If they don't lower your price until they do.

I think and extra 5%/10% for fresh over comparably dry is a fair market up.

Indeed, I've noticed it's fairly difficult to get a clear read on many things. Part of selling just seems to be trial and error.
I can always dry most of the stock and keep a small stock fresh. A small stock can obviously be sold quicker thus eliminating the shrooms turning into sludge. That way those who wish to order fresh can do so and those who prefer dried ones can buy those. That way everybody'll have what they prefer and I won't have to ask ridiculously high prices to account for product gone bad.

Yes I am all about fair market prices, meanwhile I still do feel (as a buyer) fresh would be worth a premium price over dried.

As a buyer I agree, we'll see what happens when I get my product and the listings go up.
