Hi all,
I have 100 mg of 4-AcO-DMT which was stored in it's small Ziploc in a paper envelope in a larger Ziploc wrapped in a black plastic trash bag in a locked safe for six months. On inspection today there is no powder just a tarry black film in the baggie.
Anyone seen this before? Is it a total loss or is it recoverable and or useable?

do you live in a humid climate? maybe it got moldy...

You got it from Kwiktrip right?
Still just as active. It seems that some batches (i.e. kwicktrip's) are somewhat hygroscopic? Even in a capsule inside an airtight glass container mine also turned to a black spot on the gel-cap. Not sure why it turns black, but I have tested and can say it is still active and fine.

I am a drug nazi. Everything is stored in amber glass airtight containers. It still turned black. I have only had this happen with the stuff I picked up from kwiktrip though.

do you also put silica gel packs in there too?

With capsules, yes.

Thanks for the replies folks! Glad to know it's still active and that it happens so easily. I'm afraid I don't remember who I got it from.

It de-acetylized into Psilocin, and 4-AcO-DMT de-acetylizes over time, more quickly in UV radiation (my guess) and high temperatures (https://www.erowid.org/chemicals/4_acetoxy_det/4_acetoxy_det_article1.shtml).
