Hey guys,
I got home today to find a "You have mail" slip in my letter box.
I never selected recorded delivery but that's neither here nor there.
The package is here and it needs to be collected.
The only problem is, I had it sent to a fake name.
The delivery slip states that identification is required upon collection.
Any advice appreciated.
Kind regards,

Then you should have read the shipping section more carefully.
It may not be a signed-for delivery, it may be 2 cents short on postage.
There is no need to use a fake name, try just using a slight mispelling of your own name next time, serves the same purpose.

Tell them it is for a relative that is under age and you are the guardian or something to that nature.
Tough predicament.

On the back of the slip there should be a place o sign for a referrer to pick up the item
-
Simple - I get my family members to do this for me all the time. Just fill out the 'Authorise agent to pick up' section (it's something like that) - sign a fake signature (which they can't check anyway), and authorise yourself to pick it up.

Please note:
Everyone has a different situation.
I personally feel there is an obvious need to use a fake name when it comes to dealings such as this.
I would never use a mis-spelling of my own name either, as I'd feel totally connected to the transaction and my true identity would be somewhat exposed.
In doing so, I would simultaneously squander the small margin of plausibly deniable fall back I'm currently holding.
For me, that's an unintelligent endgame.
Like I say, everybody is different.
For me, anonymity is paramount.
I think I will go into the post office and present my I.D only if asked.
Futher to that, I could possibly tell them that I've just moved in and that I could contact the previous tenant for a forwarding address?
Or that the recipient is currently overseas?
Something along these lines?
Opinions?

I looked on the back and there is a section I can fill out, authorizing another person to pick the package up.
Thanks for the advice.
I will try it tomorrow and report back!
Kind regards and thanks for the responses.

Why is it only paramount for you? Surely anonymity is first priotiry for ALL silk road users?
That being the case, I can't see the point in using a fake name to your home address, you must trust your postie!
