Hi there
Just trying to get PGP running on a Mac. I've set upmy public/private key on GPG Keychain Access, imported the vendors public key. However I can't see how to actually encrypt a message using the key. I was previously using GPG4Win and there was a clipboard where you could type your message and encrypt it with one of the public keys saved. I can't see any such option on the Mac setup. Very confused, maybe this program is just for use with Thunderbird or whatever?
Thanks,

That is a good tutorial from you tube. Also I was lost on how to send a message through SR not through an email. And out of 1000 post's I found one that made perfect sense and think it worked.
Once you download all the stuff (you should probably go to security and look for the thread gnu gpg picture tutorial).

Open up every photo in different tabs on Google chrome or something. After you figure out how to make your pgp key then use the video to learn a little more about it. Now this is how you send a message encrypted through Silk Road's Private message
When I want to send a message to YOU:
1. You give me your encrypted key.
2. I save that as a text document with your name
3. Import that document to my keys
4. Type a message in Clipboard, hit Encrypt and select YOUR key from the list.
5. Send that scrambled message to you.
6. When you receive it, you place it in your clipboard, hit decrypt and enter your unencrypted key which only YOU know.
7. It decrypts it and the unencrypted message shows for you.
When you want to send a message to me:
1. I message you my encrypted key.
2. You save that and import it to your keys
3. You type a message and encrypt it with my encrypted key
4. You send that message to me and I place it in my Clipboard, hit Decrypt and enter my private unencrypted key
5. it shows your message
Those numbered instructions probably make no sense to you. But once you use this pic guide located here >>> http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=16069.msg157861#msg157861
You should have a pretty good understanding and be able to use it. Also the you tube video helped me a lot too. Hope this helps.
Peace
