Title: "archived address used", with current address
Post by: fiveotwo on September 22, 2013, 03:27 am
I recently sent 0.009XXXXX฿ to the address currently listed on my account page.  I received the following message

Quote from: Do not reply
You have recently used an archived Bitcoin address ([my current address]) to deposit 0.009[last 5 dp] BTC to your account. This address could be retired at any time. It is strongly advised that you use a new bitcoin address for future deposits.

Best regards,

It's no problem, but I think I received this message in error

No I don't think you did, happened to us also. Just click on get new address and you should be fine.

The  bug is when you come back to SR after being away for a while - my case, months - you get a "first deposit' screen, which DOES NOT HAVE the link to "get new address".

So you must use the address shown, and it may be old, and that generates the notifications. Gave me a scare. Actually multibit reported the address as "invalid" so I used blockchain wallet instead which did not report the address as "invalid".

After I placed an order, the account screen changed and the familiar "get new address" link appeared which I would have used to begin with but could not because the link was not there.

So I think this should be fixed.
