Title: So sad, did not come today but it will come tomorrow!
Post by: marv on March 28, 2012, 10:25 pm
It's that feeling when you are excited for it to come, and then it does not come!

And you are sad at the night.

Share your stories of this sadness!

Glad to know I'm not the only one here who plays the "it'll be here tomorrow" game  :P

This would probably be an "Off Topic" discussion rather than a "Shipping" discussion though.

You're right, "my bad" as they say in athletics.

To be forthright, I am also playing the bite-the-fingernails game, because my nerves are on edge. I'm a first timer! We'll see how it goes!

my first order just came through (few days late) while later orders came earlier. Weird, but only thing is to wait it out. Or if you want peace of mind, just write it off and you are more happy when it does come through ;)

Yea, again it did not come!

I had a sure feeling it would come today. Now I will cry before sleep again!

Ah, tomorrow is another day, and will enjoy that much more when it is with me!

Ahh, yes...  Postal Joy or Postal Sadness?

Rush home from work at lunch to check the mail.

Glance nervously around for any official looking, strange vehicles with tinted windows... Or jack-booted men lurking in the bushes.

Slowly open the mailbox door...  Will today be the day?  Should have been here like...  Yesterday.  So, today for sure.  Thank Christ it isn't Saturday.  When it doesn't get here by Saturday, then it's TWO WHOLE DAYS before I can even CHECK the mail again!

Peek inside- oh no, it's a whole STACK of mail to sort through.

Scamper back to the house.  It's GOTTA be here, it just HAS TO BE.

Sort, shuffle, sort, shuffle...  DAMN!  WHERE IS IT?

Look- THERE IT IS!  OMG, POSTAL JOY, POSTAL JOY!  Look at the clever packaging!  How STEALTHY.  No one would EVER know.  As easy as the time before.  Silk Road is just the coolest fucking thing ever.

It's quite the rush, getting a package of your favorite chemical delivered right to your mailbox.  Each time, I get that same electrically charged feeling that scoring drugs has always given me.

Only today it was postal sadness.  Sigh.  Maybe tomorrow...

99% of the time, priority mail makes it here in 2 days regardless of where it was sent from. That's why when it does take 3 days, I always get paranoid thinking it's seized or was delivered to the wrong address lol. Having to re-wait 24 hours is a bitch when you're eagerly expecting something. Mail order - tracking numbers = suck.

or how about when you buy from a vendor you've bought from many times before, and you buy priority, and instead of taking two days like it usually does, it still isn't here after four.  I have a PO Box that only gets one daily mail shipment delivered to it from the main post office and it's always by 10 am, so sometimes that tacks on another day, but four days?  God damn.

+1

I've been going through this exact pattern this week, waiting on my lottery prize and some 2C-E. I've also been stressing about my money, which won't transfer until tomorrow. It's been agonizing having to wait this long to buy some MXE, so I hope it'll be worth it. Last of all is I'm nearly out of weed and can't purchase more until payday in a week or two, (can't remember when it is). :-\ Damn car payments are a total buzz-kill.

usps mail has been slow. odds are it because of all the cuts back so say if you use to get it in 3 days it may take 4 or even 5 days right now.

How about waiting for moneypak queues to clear while watching the bitcoin value drop?  Then when it finally clears and the finds hit your account... POOF!  The listing you've been eyeballing several time a day is GONE.

Also tricky is scheduling orders so the party favors arrive in time for the weekend, but not so soon during the week that they're GONE by the weekend!  ::)

I know there are quicker ways to get coin, but I'm lazy, and don't mind paying for the convenience... and the fact that I never have to "handle" the coins.

It happened so that the one I would expect later arrived earlier than the one I expected to be fast!

Anything can happen with the post!

Everything is so happy now!
