Im trying to buy some bitcoins but I am not trying to go through the week long process of Dwolla+My bank account+MTgox.
I remember seeing on the old forum a thread about how to get bitcoins fast, but don't remember how.
Any suggestions ?

+1.
-
Yeah I wouldn't mind a response to this either, especially now that I learned it takes 5-10 days to complete a single transfer of money.
And the fact that Dwolla requires photo ID verification.
I need a Dwolla alternative, preferably something quicker/safer. I don't mind if the fees are a little higher.

I have used nanaimogold.com (WU), wm-center.com (WU) and bitcoinbux.com (GDMP) successfully a few times to fund a few different kinds of e-currencies, including Bitcoin and Pecunix. Every single transaction has gone through the very same day, usually in under 12 hours. Is this fast enough for you?
-
use libertyreserve.com
protip: you cant access your liberty reserve account over tor, so use public wifi.
you can fund your account thru one of the exchangers with western union.
takes about 24 hours from cash to btc.
-
Thanks for the tips. Yeah 24 hours is gr8 enough time. Just a week is too long when your trying to get something asap.
-
i think the biggest slow down is the 3-5day clearance for dwolla. once it's there it's fast/easy.
-
Fastest way I have come across is to buy btc from bitcoinexchange.cc or bitcoinbux.com using greendot moneypack. It does cost a fee but is well worth it if you need a fast anonymous transaction. You could also get mtgox USD codes and buy btc when the market favors it. Lots of options.

I have a real quick question that hopefully someone could answer
Re: liberty reserve or bitcoin exchanges - use your real identity or false name?
thanks so much to everyone responding here for your help
-
If in doubt, use a false one!
-
What is the safest way to turn $1000-$2000 every couple weeks into BTC????????
-
Bitcoinbux no longer takes moneypak or netspend cards. I just go to the bank and deposit into their account. During business hours, it takes a couple hours before the btc shows up in your account.
But then again, i really don't care if i'm on camera at the bank or anything. I'm also not out buying kiddie porn, dirty weapons, nukes, or pounds of any illicit substance.
So i guess i just don't care >:)

sending western union to a foreign liberty reserve exchanger is probably the safest and fastest way to do it. there are fees, but the security of it makes it worth it in my opinion. even if they did try to trace the btc, it would be a very long time before they made it all the way back to the western union shop that you used, possibly enough time for the security tapes to be overwritten.
this works both ways. if you have the foreign liberty reserve exchanger sending you cash with western union, a security question and answer will allow you to pick it up with no ID. there are limits on the amount you can pick up without ID, so find out what they are before you do this with large amounts.

My thing is how can I buy bulk on SR, sell it for cash, and return that cash back to BTC to re up ???????? help!!!!! like I said before im talking 2G every couple weeks.

Get a Paysafe prepaid card -> www.paysafecard.com <- at a gas station or convenience store.
Get a www.virwox.com account
Deposit paysafecard amount to virwox
exchange to BTC
withdraw to wallet of choosing
Process takes less than 2 hrs...
Just make sure to never use PayPal, credit card or bank account to credit your virwox account or they might put a hold on it and ask you to send in ID. If you use paysafecard exclusively they won't ever check and let you withdraw without issues...
-
virwox really rapes you on the fees, and there can be a big gap between rates of linden and BTC.
You can also only get whole amounts of BTC.
-
You think www.virwox.com charges a lot? Check this: http://www.btcnow.net/
That guy charges 18USD for 1 BTC ...
btw, is it correct - virwox costs current rate 9USD per 1BTC?
-
I feel like I have answered this question three times in the last week.
Fastest/Cheapest method for US citizens:
exchangebitcoins.com cash deposit at Chase/WU branches.
If you are buying bitcoins, you have much much less to worry about than if you are selling bitcoins. Nobody's going to care if you are buying a shitload of bitcoins every week. However, if you are withdrawing a shitload of cash every week. someone is going to take notice.
-
just made my first deposit with exchangebitcoins -- made a reservation on saturday, went into a bank, deposited cash as per directions from their site and had money in the account within 1 hour. it's certainly not perfect, but it's a lot safer than dwolla and all that noise.

I agree, it's not an ideal solution at all. However, if you find out Wednesday night that this big party is going down Friday night and you want to shop fast to bring your own goodies what's a guy to do? So far this is the fastest solution I could come up with if you're unprepared and need quick coins. I do a agree however that I'd prolly use another route if time wasn't critical....
-
What's the fastest way for someone not from USA?
-
get a moneybookers.com (similar to paypal) then buy bitcoins from bitmarket.eu and you'll have the coins within a couple of hours.
That is if the sellers responds quickly. I had to wait two days once just to get a response from the guy.
So if you must have your coins same day quick and you are in Europe go the paysafe->virwox route. bitmarket.eu is good and the rates are fairer, but it is a person-to-person market, so there is no telling how long the guy that gets matched with you will take to respond and close out the transaction.
If you have a day or two though bitmarket is nice, keep in mind though you're leaving personal info with a coinseller you don't know, so there is the whole ID thing. They will know who you are via Moneybookers and whomever sells you the coins might not be a guy like us here and freely hand over your details to LE if pinched.

Take a look at this thread: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=1766.0 In it there are several suggestions as to how to get Bitcoins, as well as a link to another thread about acquiring Bitcoins.
http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=1393.0 Covers buying Bitcoins if you're in the UK -- see profspudhed's comments.

I doubt that.

We really need a more thorough comparison of the fees that different exchange sites and the like charge.
The Cash -> Virwox route sounds like a good one, but isn't much use for non US citizens, right?
-
as a guy who just wants to buy 1/8ths and 1/4s of weed, the bitexchange + chase bank method is probably sufficient, eh?
What about buying BTC on craigslist? Anyone try that?

Actually it is, it's much easier to get paysafe with cash in Europe than in the US. Heck in France Germany and Netherlands you can even buy paysafe on those vending machines that sell those prepaid cellphone topup cards, so you won't even have a convenience store clerk see your face.
Just go to www.paysafe.com and use the locator...

RE BITCOINEXCHANGE.CC
I aplied for a buying deal three days ago and got no response so far....
Is this normal ? I also wrote them an email and nothing yet....
