I made a $200 order with a vendor who has great feedback. I have used him before and everything was perfect. This time, product never arrived and despite my leaving numerous messages over a 2 week period he/she has yet to answer any. I finalised as I was afraid it would effect my rating but feel a bit let down.
should they have answered me and was it right to finalise although i never received the product?

Hi Flamingo,
Was the order international or domestic? Because international can take longer than 2 weeks.
If it was domestic then I think you just lost $200. You should have requested an extension or taken the order to SRs Resolution Center.
Feel free to name the vendor here -- not as an accusation, but just to see if others have had similar experiences or are able to offer advice with working with the vendor. You might also want to pop in on the vendors discussion here on the forums and see what others are saying.
Cheers

it was domestic, his product usually arrives in a few days. i asked for an extention but SR still wrote 'finalise in x days' so i just did it in order not to get a bad rating. i'll give him another week to respond to my messages before 'naming' his handle on this site. feel kinda bummed.

What does his vendor page say about msg etc?
People often forget things get lost in the post its the game we play

his page says that he is behind on his messages and if its important to put the order number in the subject. which i did. not a peep from him. so i guess i have no choice but to write it off. whats worse is that i set up a post box and now must abandon it.

Sounds to me like YES they should have answered you by now, and NO you probably shouldn't have finalized, because now there is no way for you to have this resolved... unless the vendor suddenly has a change of heart and sends you the product.
*Side Note*
There sure are a lot of these posts.. it's a shame, really.
