Title: Silk Road account help?
Post by: 3soteric on December 07, 2011, 04:31 pm
I just got a SR account, have yet to purchase anything. Long story short, I have no money at the moment. But when I do have money, is it possible to have Bitcoins transferred directly from Mt.Gox to my SR account? Or should I keep the Bitcoins in my own wallet and only put them into SR when I need to make a purchase?

Thanks.

It is technically possible, yes, but you'll be putting all of your bitcoins into one pot. If SR is taken down, all of your bitcoins will be lost. I recommend only putting bitcoins into your SR wallet when you're about to make a purchase.

and don't buy them till you're ready to use them. they fluctuate in value so much. you can keep USD on tradehill or gox till your ready to buy something here, then buy the coins, transfer them, and make your purchase without losing money
