Hey guys, I just completed my first bitcoin transaction of over £100 and it was sucessful through localbit and I transfered it to the wallet address from my account but it is not there. How long does it usually take?
-
I saw there was recently a problem with making deposits is this part of it or is this usual that there is a delay? This is my first time buying bitcoins and i'm just really anxious I don't want to have lost them somehow.
-
That's why you always first test with 1 pound or something.
It can really take a long time though. How long has it been? If less than 6h don't even worry about it.
You can also check in your SR account what your address was (don't request a new one) and see if that was the address you transfered to with localbit.

It usually takes at least two hours for me.
-
no worries! it'll show up soon :D
-
:-\ What is the longest time it has taken any of you guys to receive the Bitcoins from Silk Road to your wallet? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?
-
mine took 5 hours at least yesterday so dont worry 8) they will come through
gs :o

I'm waiting for 3 hours with 26 confirmations, still no money on SR. It's not my first deposit, but the first that takes so long
-
If not sure check http://blockchain.info/address/yourBTCaddresshere put you bitcoin address where it says it will tell you if the transaction has been sent. Third party wallets can take a longtime to show bitcoins

Man they arrived but the price of bitcoins moved so much in between (checked almost 24 hrs later) I dont have enough to buy what I wanted anymore!!
Sending some more over, guess it's a learning experience to send slightly more than I need, will do a 10% margin next time.
That's something I'm glad to learn before my first transfer. :P
