as a way to avoid newbs getting scammed and reward honest vendors, any vendor rating a 1.9 or lower overall or having more than 5 complaints would have a click-through tacked onto all of there listings -
" To protect you the customer, we must ask you to read the reviews of this vendor both on the website and the forums. We ask this because this vendor has failed to send the product as advertised, failed to package it carefully or use systems put in place to protect your anonymity and that of silk road itself.
Thank you!"

A nanny that tells people not to send bitcoin to poorly rated vendors...rather than relying on the customer to do their own due diligence? I am not against it at all, but Silk is a big Ayn Rand fan.
My own personal mission is to keep buyers from doing stupid things like
MESSING UP THEIR OWN SHIPPING ADDRESSES

I want a banner on the front page that says : "Hey new guy, don't be stupid!"

SR would have no way of knowing if the seller is lying, or if the package was stolen, lost, or intercepted.
Nor would SR know if the packaging was bad. It's basically one anonymous persons word against another anonymous persons word.

Somehow connecting the seller with not only his SR rating but his SR forum comments page would certainly help.
Going simply by SR rating was how BarrySneaky got away with scamming so many people. If everyone was able to see what was said about him in the forums would give a better picture of his true nature. For newbies who don't know about this forum it could really help. Also, by doing this it would eliminate the number of scammers as they wouldn't be able to get away with scamming and thus would be unlikely to try.

Most of Barysneaky feedback was for 0,01btc - always hover mouse pointer over item to see what is purchased.

I would hope people know what they are getting into with SR. If you do just a bit of research on these forums you are fairly safe as far as scams go. If somone is gonna toss a few hundred bucks to a seller without doing research, its somewhat there fault.
