Title: USPS Package to made-up name retained from POBox
Post by: tabTenZ on December 07, 2012, 02:52 am
I received a package to a made-up name in POBox. A note was left in its place asking if I want to return to sender or add the name to my box and if it is good, I may pick up the package from the clerk. It will be held for 5 days. My inclination is to have it returned to sender. Does that sound like the best course of action to y'all?  [Yes, am a newbie]

I had, btw, sent a test letter to my box with a made-up name to see if it got delivered and that letter appeared in box without issue.

If it really doesnt matter to your or effect your pocket then the answer is simple, just let it go. Better safe than sorry if its something you wont lose sleep over.

This is normal. Just depends if the employee is on the ball or not that day.

You arent allowed to have mail in other names delivered to your box. However if its a 25 year old sorting the mail, they likely dont give a shit. If its a 50 year old woman USPS lifer, they will leave you a notice.
