I have 6 days left until my order (that I have not received yet) auto-finalizes. I got message from SR advising me to take this into resolution before it autofinalizes. I understand I don't want this to auto finalize. But I also (finally) got a response from the vendor telling me that the product would arrive today or tomorrow. He still has not provided me with any tracking information, to confirm that. I am willing to wait until tomorrow to see if the product actually arrives, but I want to make sure that still gives me enough time to take this issue into resolution. That will take me down to 4 days to auto-finalize. I have never had to use this feature before, and just wondering about the pro's and cons of taking this to resolution now instead of waiting 2 more days. Please advise. And thanks!

You can go into resolution to get an extension on the order to prevent auto-finalization.

the same problem..
but I'm going to wait till the bitter end:) well when 1 day remain I'll go to resolution but now here are 4 days left so why bothering your vendor earlier than it's neccessary?

You should take it to Resolution when you receive the generic email from SR Support. It doesn't hurt you or the vendor to extend the due date. I just extend the due date by 7 days initially which is basically just a safe guard against your order auto-finalizing. Then just keep an eye on it. Some orders have taken a little over a month to arrive for me so I would keep extending the due date until 4 weeks have passed before asking for either a full or partial refund. :)

I didn't realize how small of a deal it is to go into RC to get an extension. thanks OP.
