Title: What happens when I change my BTC address while money was being sent
Post by: spasmolytic on August 13, 2012, 08:07 pm
I have coins in the process of being sent, but it was to the old address. I accidentally clicked the change address button while checking to see if the funds arrived. Will I still get my money?

You should. All the different addresses belong to the same wallet if I understand things correctly.

Contact the admins but unfortunately I think your coins may be lost.
I did it on another site and I managed to get the coins back, I was lucky.
If you don't own that address anymore the coins wont get credited to your new address only the old one.
If you don't have the address you can't get the coins.

I would contact SR support if they haven't arrived in a day or two. From what I know they will still appear in your wallet. Just give it a few days before you start tripping out.

Have done this loads of times, normally due to not checking if my address has changed and just sending the coin in.
It should turn up fine, may take a little longer than normal though.
If there are any problems just message support and they should be able to sort it out  :)

Official Knowledge: Any bitcoin-address that has been used for your account will always and forever pay to your account.
