Okay wud up yall!
Was wondering this just a second ago and how safe it is..... would it be safe to take a photo of your product on your iphone then email to your email of choice then download photo to desktop, followed by uploading it to the onion image uploader site. would these steps be safe? plus dont forget to delete all the photos/ email were you sent them. I am guessing there shouldnt be a problem but anyone have any other ideas or comments?

I would find out a bit more before doing this. iPhone photos contain metadata that includes GPS location data. Unless you are sure the process you describe would remove this I wouldn't do it. Even if you switch GPS off there can still be info that can reveal whose phone took them.

There is a freeware software called "FileMind QuickFix - Scrubber" that you can use to scrub EXIF data and GPS data. If you open a jpeg in windows, right click, and view properties, you can clear the EXIF data, but the GPS data will STILL BE ATTACHED TO THE IMAGE. Definitely make sure you clear ALL metadata from iphone images before you post them.

You can also install a firefox plugin called Exif Viewer. You can right click any image from firefox and display all the metadata, just to double check your files before you post links.

Or the lazy mans way, open it in paint select the part of the picture with the select tool and paste it into a new window :p
But seriously theres very little point in cutting corners when it comes to this.

They have done it before they certainly can do it again!

This also works^^
You can open up a jpeg in MSpaint, save it again as a .bmp file, then re-save it as a jpeg again before uploading. (Since bmp files don't store metadata)

Uploading pics to imgur.com strips all EXIF data, I also use the MS Paint method personally and using both shoukd be secure enough.
Ps. I download the image from imgur.com and reupload it to an onion photo host.
