Guys,
I'm having an issue accessing MtGox via tor. I tried logging in several times yesterday, but apparently my password was incorrect. Anyway, after my final attempt I got this message: "Too many failure from your IP, temporarly blocked." I CAN access my account just fine without tor, but using tor I get that message every time, and it's been going on for about 24 hours. I've used the "use a new identity" button from the Vidalia control panel, but it doesn't change a thing.
Any ideas?
If I decide to move BTC from MtGox to a site (for example SR) WITHOUT tor and WITHOUT my ISP (I'd possibly do it from a wi-fi hotspot), would I be putting myself at risk?

This happens sometimes. It should go away after a couple of days. Otherwise you could keep trying new identities hoping to get lucky.

Thanks for the info, stormbreeze. Guess I'm in wait-and-see mode.

Thanks, mileschris, for mentioning this problem! I was considering using them to store some of my funds -- not wanting to leave all my eggs in one basket -- but no longer. The Google captcha page nightmare (https://www.torproject.org/docs/faq.html.en#GoogleCaptcha) convinced me to switch search engines; playing games like that where money is involved would be even worse.

lol, mtgox is done now anyway.
but same as for mtgox also applies for other services like it.

Totally coincidental, but I actually transferred my BTC at MtGox about six hours before the hack.
