I'm planning to set up a vendor account in the next few days and have a couple of questions about shipping...
I notice some vendors offer the option to sign for your letter or package...is this a good idea...?....for the vendor it makes sense since it is proof that the item arrived...
For the buyer...it seems more risky...plus a little added shipping expense to cover...
how does it look from inside the postal service...?... are these express post letters requiring signatures subject to additional scrutiny...?

Hi topshelf1,
Think about the package, stealth is an important factor in our trade.
@ Sign on Delivery: Buyer has also a insurance that the vendor sended the package. It's only more risky if you act like a paranoid drug user.
About the Srutiny: i don't know, i haven't had any problems with the packages requiring an signature (I'm from Middle Europe).

If by chance something goes horribly wrong, not having to sign for a package allows for plausible deniability, at least in theory. If you sign for a package of brain candy during a controlled delivery, I'm pretty sure it's tantamount to saying "yes officer, this is my package of droogz I have been waiting for."
Maybe I'm paranoid, but I won't order if I have to sign.

I would expect they'd track it more closely to make sure it gets there. Whether that means it passes by any nearer or further from drug dogs is debatable, but either way it will be looked at / handled with more care and interest, which isn't a good thing I think?
I'd say you don't want to give the postman reason to give it a second thought.
