what weighs 200gram to recalibrate scale?
-
A calibration weight. A scale should never be calibrated with anything else other than a well manufactured calibration weight. It's a retarded idea to try to come up with a "ghetto calibration weight". You will just end up fucking your scale's reading up even more.
-
If you have a container with a known weight and a way to measure water you could calculate container + water = 200 grams. It would be easier to buy a calibration weight as mrmdma suggested.

They're not expensive bro...

a 200 gram weight.

I'm sure none of these replies are what you were looking for, an neither is mine, but look into ordering this:
200 g calibration weight for less than $7 bucks:
http://www.amazon.com/SAGA-CALIBRATION-WEIGHT-Weights-Digital/dp/B00BU98DJU/
...and I personally own the product in the next link. I bought it locally. It doesn't have a 200 gram weight, but if you have a milligram scale, this kit is invaluable! Check it out, less than $11:

Good luck, hope you get your scale calibrated buddy. You can probably call a local headshop to ask if they carry a 200 gram weight (or two 100's, 4 50's etc.). I'd personally invest in a nice weight carried by a high end scientific/lab supply website or store for future use. Even the weights I listed above are probably not exact in their respective weights, that can mean absolutely NOTHING or it could mean absolutely EVERYTHING. Again, good luck, and definitely invest in some decent weights or a weight kit (and a nice scale if you can afford it!)

By the weigh (pun intended, hehe), if you can't afford a nice scale and weigh in the milligrams, buy this (along with the calibration kit mentioned above):
http://www.amazon.com/American-Weigh-Gemini-20-Portable-Milligram/dp/B0012TDNAM/
I find it just as accurate as my $700+ digital balance as long as the hood is closed when weighing! I bought it to double check my balance and to see what most people read on their cheap scales, but honestly now use it more often than I use my expensive balance on 10+ mg weighs because it's so small and quick to settle on an reading.
Haha - I should fuckin' become a sales rep for American Weigh!

This is what you need.
Edit: It's ten bucks...

Someone claims in another thread that a UK 2 pence coin should weigh in at 7.2 but when using this method my scales come out as 7.05. Does this mean my scales need recalibration? ???

200grams of water is 200grams of water.
Why for gods sake do they need recalibration anyway? And fail on 200g? Would be amazing after purchasing a 200g useless thing!
But trippinmonkey... we might use your help...

The 200 grams of water thing is a good idea, but he can't figure out how much water to put in unless his scale is calibrated!
