Hello,
First off, i read the general info on PIN resets by DigitalAlch, and I know this has been asked a 100 times, and customer support and mods must be sick and tired of all these requests, but still i ask you to hear my plea:
As far as i remember i never set a PIN at all when i registered at SR in November 2011, and i didn't need a PIN to place my first order back in December. As far as i understand the PIN is something new on SR, and i don't recall being prompted to enter a PIN... I just deposited a fair amount of BC on my account yesterday and today, and was hoping to buy as soon as possible with it. The amount i deposited is far greater than the amount of BC that were on my account before, so i suppose if i were a scammer or had stolen the account, what would be the use of depositing BC into it instead of stealing them?
I understand that the 7 day waiting time is for security reasons, and that security is the backbone of SR, but please have a look at my case...
Finals are nearing for me, and i was hoping to be able to buy some studying aids this week... :-\
Thank you for your time, and hopefully you will consider my request

I've got the same problem - I registered sometime in the summer or fall of 2011 with no problems. After adding a few bitcoins to my account I was asked for a PIN in order to buy. I have NO recollection of setting one, the FAQ's mentioning on an alternate password I was asked for (which I wasn't) could be it. I did the "reset PIN in 7 days" thing, but I swear I never NEVER set a PIN. I haven't contacted SR admin on this yet, but I sympathize with you on this issue.

Believe it used to be called secondary password or somthing along those lines, If you read that post then you should know there is no way to get around the pin reset, you have to wait it out.

;D
After I mentioned the PIN ossue with the SL admins, it asked me for a PIN the next time I logged on, so the site may be a bit weird (not surprising considering what it is). However, with politeness & patience, all had worked out well!

I was pleased to read this....exactly the same, went to make a purchase and was asked for a PIN that I have no memory of creating back in '11 when I created the account. So I got locked out and have a PIN RESET message that I have replied to after 7 days (yesterday), what happens now? How do I get my new PIN?

Get over it...wait the 7 days not much you can do. Its sucks trust me i know, i forgot my pin around a week before 4/20 and wasn't able to order during the sale or buy for the day.
