Title: Are you sure you want to finalize this transaction?
Post by: canada420 on August 28, 2013, 09:09 pm
well its happened to me a couple times where I accidentally finalize an order from a miss-click

I think it would be a good idea to have some type of popup so people can confirm they want to finalize an order

EDIT: did I really just get negative karma for making a suggestion?

It's pretty hard to 'mis-click' finalise. Been buying on here for 2 years now, and there is no other button near it except for 'resolve'.

We disagree with your suggestion; just don't put the cursor anywhere near that side of the page until you ARE ready to finalise.

It's not like a massive button screaming CLICK ME or anything.

If SR were to implement an 'are you sure' button on the site for things such as this, do you also want warnings to pop up such as 'are you SURE you want to buy these illegal drugs from a black market online and have them shipped to your house?', or 'are you SURE you want to buy this ounce of cocaine'?

Can sympathise with you that you accidentally clicked on finalise.. but damn, it's common sense. You goofed, now you have to deal with it.

You managed to get Tor and online to SR, surely you can manage to not click on a word accidentally.

Not trying to sound like a dick but LOOK where you are clicking next time to avoid this happening.

Just hope that your Vendor has actually shipped the goods......

it happened when I was checking my order status (checked several times through the day) on my iphone

it definitely should have an option to make sure the user is aware they are finalizing an order, its not hard to add.

It's pretty elementary and universal UX knowledge to ask for confirmation for an action that cannot be reverted.

But you can disagree to having userfriendly websites, no probs.

Peace out

It is indeed a security problem to use an Iphone on SR. Though my argument is still valid. Why do you think you're asked to confirm when you overwrite an existing file, or when you whant to delete your hard drive? Hint: I answered that one already.
So it is not very smart using Iphones to navigate Tor or SR, but one should not blame OP for being his slip, but SR for not being error tolerant.

I think I got negged, too.
+1 to you, so your back to where you stood.

Peace out
Jason

Using tor on my fone would be the greatest.  But, I don't trust it.  Don't know why.  I use onion browser but don't go to any onions sites on it.
