Title: Proper way to print shipping Labels?
Post by: SillyLife on July 03, 2011, 09:05 pm
Whats the best way to print shipping labels at the comfort of your own home? What is needed other than a printer?

If you are shipping via envelope, print directly onto the envelope.  For parcels I have a label printer as they only cost about $50.  You could buy A4 sheets of printer labels, if you buy a standard size MS Word has built in templates.

But remember about printer signatures! Research the printer you are using to see if it prints a "printer fingerprint" which is somewhat traceable. And always remember not to use paper you or anyone you know has touched.

MrTHC is right.  Apparently some small & subtle print characteristics and "intrinsic signatures" left by the printers can act like a fingerprint, or a better analogy, like a person's handwriting style. I've not heard of this being used to track down sellers, but if you're concerned about this in anyway...get a cheap ass 2nd hand printer. Easily obtained many places...even dumpsters.
