Title: in which oldtoby comes to grips with his paranoia (vetting new vendors)

How do you evaluate a new vendor? Seems like a vendor can get a lot of sales under his/her belt, with positive 5/5 feedback on their SR page, but not accumulate much in the way of personalized feedback on the forums. That is to say, lots of anonymous feedback; little feedback from known members of SR.

In my (admittedly inexperienced and undoubtedly paranoid) view, until I see reviews from known members, I have no way of knowing whether or not this vendor is LE with a few extra accounts signed up, generating feedback anonymously on the SR page and newb-ID-linked feedback on the forum page. Does anyone else wait for hero/established members to confirm in the forums that they received genuine product from a vendor before sending in an order themselves?

On a paranoia scale of 1 to 10, where an 8 is reasonable for SR, is this a 273?
