I know there's another thread regarding how much Mt. Gox blows, but I'm wondering specifically about bitcoin transfer times betweem Mt. Gox and SR. (And I can't post in only that thread for some reason.)
Last night I transferred some cashmoney from Dwolla to Mt. Gox which took about eight hours (15 minutes my ASS), and at about 7:30 AM this morning I sent the bitcoins from Mt. Gox to SR. It's 10:13 AM and no bitcoins. Every other time I've transferred between these accounts it's happened almost instantly. Is this normal or am I right to be nervous?
I don't plan on using Dwolla or Mt. Gox after all this. Ugh.

Ah shoot, I knew once I complained it'd actually go through lol.
But seriously, does this happen to people often with Mt. Gox?

The issue is not MtGox, it's a combination of the time it takes for MtGox to initiate the transfer and then it takes time for SR to confirm the bitcoins, which can vary in time, it then takes SR a bit to tumble the coins. So no, it is not unusual for it to take 3hrs, but most times it is pretty good, around 2hrs, sometimes less. MtGox is pretty good actually and rates seem to be better. Tried TradeHill and found I was getting hit with way too many fees so sticking with MtGox.

First of all, nice avatar bromigo! 8)
Is it wise to send btc straight from mt gox to SR? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought this was a bad idea, i've been using insta wallets.

Probably not. I've changed around my payment setup since I last posted, so hopefully I'll never find out.
