Who in their right mind would really buy a SR shirt and wear it? I just seen that someone is selling them for like 50$. The thing thats going to bring down silk road is the silk roaders them self. why drawl attention to something that should be kept on the down low as good as possible. so many people ask me who I get my stuff from and never one time have I even mentioned silk road. they even bring it up and are like I heard you can get such and such drug offline, and I just play dumb.
-
Yea i saw those t shirts for sale not sure what to make of it.
Same thing with me i have people talk to me about SR and i pretend i don't know what it is or never heard of it. Something along the lines of 'oh i heard of it isnt it like an ebay for drugs?'
As if your gonna let on about this and lose your advantage.
-
A while back one member actually proposed a business idea, churn out cheap t shirts key rings and so on. The thread and thought has already been asked and discussed so move on.
-
Yeah ... I agree in the most fundamental of ways.
Do not talk about Fight Club.
Yet.. .. Have you seen how many kids wear Hell's Angel T-shirts?? In a way, if people start wearing t-shirts about SR then this almost 'proves' how far we've come. I'd bet that some kid wearing the t-shirt probably doesn't have any idea what SR is. Its almost like SR has broken ground that can't be stopped. This is good. Although, it may also throw the gauntlet down for LE - as in bust us now or forever remain silent. I dunno.

Fight club rules should be more taken serious here but seem unpopular idea.

I feel exactly the same way about dumbasses who wear fucking great big weed leaves all over their shit - seriously, you boys shouldn't be advertising your illegal activities (and let's face it, it is usually dipshit boys doing it)!
That said, I do talk to one or two very close friends about SR; I don't resell, I only use it for personal, so there is zero chance of someone getting caught with my gear and grassing on me. I basically keep it to myself except for my nearest and dearest, most of who have already heard of SR...

Shhhhhhh! Be quite! The internet is a secret everyone! It's super secret!
-
Long time before I saw a vendor selling a SR shirt I searched for a HQ picture of the SR camel to make myself a T-Shirt. It would be very cool. Imagine going to your dentist with it or something like that. ;D
Of course it's insane, but I would love to see the possible reactions to it when people are actually understanding. That would for sure make it worthwhile for me.
-
You should use it as a sleeping shirt at night.
So the cops don't have to ask that much questions if they ride your home early in the morning. ::)

If people are dumb enough to wear something with the logo of a major black market they're not the kind of people we'd want on here anyways.

How is that going to have any impact when you can just buy a Forbes magazine?

LMAO! just wear a shirt that says "hello my name is ____ and i buy drugs online at the alternative market Silkroad"
*facepalm*

You're completely missing the point here. I'm not talking about it attracting more people to SR, I'm talking about people that think wearing something that advertises for a major black market consisting of mostly illegal goods is a good idea. How stupid can you be? Do you see pedophiles going around with shirts from their favorite child pornography sites?

I wanted to design a t-shirt with the SR camels face looking out and with the text Hit The Road!in an arch above it and another with the whole man on the camel with the same text but am too lazy to be honest!
It's not as if it's not known about but it might bring attention on the person wearing it which is not a good idea if it does in a slight way at all really!
-
I mean the SR camel itself looks pretty cool. Also, think about it, not that many people even know what the SR camel is, if the shirt just had the camel on it they wouldn't think anything of it.

Mainstream stores like PacSun and others sell items with weed leaves printed all over them and other drug related icons.
I mean, it may not be smart to wear around when you're using or carrying, but its far from illegal and not the stupidest thing you can do.
Shit, I think it would be hilarious to have a shirt with just the camel on it. 99 percent of people will see it and not have any idea. The other 1 percent though, you can make subtle eye contact and acknowledge a friend. (Not that I'd really wear one...)
People have worn stupider stuff than an SR shirt.
-
No fucks given here.
Hand me a shirt and I'll wear it and stand behind a news reporter for the world to see, waving my hands like a tosser and all. I think the shirt is a great idea, just not for people that can't afford attention ie King pins.
IMO if your worried about being caught for trafficking drugs because of a shirt your wearing, you need to rethink your strategy on receiving and storing drugs.

Anyone who actually uses SR and is concerned about their personal security and liberty would not be wise to wear something that would bring attention to their own illegal activities. However, you guys are so concerned about your own security that you miss the bigger picture. There is a great movement that we have been a part of here and SR is reaching the status of cultural icon. This movement is bigger than you. It is bigger than DPR. It is bigger than SR. If DPR is gone, he can be replaced. If SR closes, It can be replaced. The very purpose of the creation of SR was to have an OPEN marketplace where everyone can safely come (including LE). Its very creation is an affront to LE. It is a challenge to LE. It is meant to flaunt our freedom in the face of the oppressors. Every punk kid who wears a SR t shirt perpetuates the flaunting of that freedom. And the longer it is flaunted and the wider the acceptance and even support of SR grows, the less power those oppressors have over the minds of the oppressed. And once the hundredth monkey no longer accepts the tyranny, the tyranny will fall.

Can think of several people that will know what it is. US DEA agents, worldwide drug agents, detectives in large police departments, euro police, customs agents and everyone else that sat through a SR presentation.
Basically this not smart idea. Period.

Your dentist?!
There are tons of shirts on T-Shirt Hell dotcom that would cause the reaction you seek and WON'T make you look like the immature idiot you apparently are.

In itself it isn't that bad, especially if it were just the camel or something like that. I just don't see any reason to draw attention to it though, why show it off? I wouldn't wear any drug related shirts, mainstream or not. What if some retard who heard about SR through a news article or something recognizes it and comes up to you and wants to talk about it?
It would probably be fine, most people wouldn't recognize it, but why draw any attention to it? The one time someone does recognize it could be bad.

If a clearnet or storefront retailer was selling the shirts, it would be fine and a tremendous benefit to all of us here. The more we immerse the real world in to our culture, the safer we are, and the safer the TOR network is.
But it is not safe until its mainstream. Please don't attempt to be a rebel without a pulse, or behind bars. Those attempts would be completely inaffective.
Anyone have any idea how we could pitch our logo to a mainstream retailer for the public to pick up?

eleven words. either way I wont be wearing one nor will I give a fuck if somebody else is. I keep my shit on the lowdown.

Hm, that's interesting I didn't even think about that. Would you not try to speak to the person? I would for sure say hello and maybe there will be a good conversation or even a new friendship. Some of the interests seem to overlap, that could make a friendship. haha. ;D

I saw someone walking down the street last year with a "Dread pirate roberts" t-shirt. I couldn't tell if he was a fan of the princess bride, or a SR advocate. I feel something like that would be a more subtle way to show your appreciation. Not that i'm opposed to straight up SR shirts, but I wouldn't wear one.

What a great idea.

Haha what about a polo ralph lauren shirt with the camel stitched in
