Title: How do you connect to SR?
Post by: Catnip on June 12, 2012, 10:41 am
I am using VMWare with a clean WinXP installed. I Use an VPN Connection and additional an SSH-Proxy for connect with TOR. And within TOR i connect to SR.
My VPN/SSH Vendor does not log anything.

Do you mean that is secure enough?

I know, linux is more secure than Windows, but i can not handle with linux :(

It's secure as long as you're using the Tor browser bundle and not your own installation of Firefox. If you are using your own firefox, I hope you've got all scripts and add-ons disabled, no Java installed, no javascript allowed, no Flash installed etc etc.

Then you're fine.

If you wanted to be extra secure, encrypting your VMWare image using something like TrueCrypt wouldn't be a bad idea.

I think you're more secure than 90% of people here. Firefox from the Tor bundle with no java/flash should be fine
