Am I the only person who dosnt like psytrance on acid?  :P Its just too intense imo. Its got to be something chilled like Lemon Jelly or Thievery Corporation. Saying that, I do love a bit of trance otherwise.

Watching human traffic before going out on a big night is a laugh, and after I love happy mondays "call the cops". Nothing better to wind down to...

I wouldn't really watch anything while fully tripping, but as it fades away watching the planet earth series = mindblowing. Im a biologist at heart  :D
And Coltrane is a good shout. Giant steps is an orgasm

For me nothing beats the song "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic. Takes me to places dimensions above what any drug has done.
And the Pink Floyd film "The Wall" for blowing your mind on psychedelics.

it's kind of a clichè

try "towers open fire" brion ghisin / w burroghs
or Koyaanisqatsi.. or 8 e 1/2 by fellini... there are many others...  on LSD try  Holy Mountain and El Topo by Jodorowky
Music:   1st pink floyd album is a classic..   sgt peppers...  classical ?  hendrix ? soft machine ?

Psybient (psychedelic ambient), especially Solar Fields (made the in-game music for Mirror's Edge), especially his album Blue Moon Station. Carbon Based Lifeforms is a great artist too.

Marcy Playground - Opium - www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGvQ6LtkPwc

This is my go to song when tripping, as well as the rest of this same album. I'm not really into trance, dubstep etc unless I'm rolling.

Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box - www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6P0SitRwy8

This video is great when tripping, I've introduced several people to tripping and I had them each watch this video on the come up and then showed it to them again in the middle of the trip just to show them the huge difference, the subtle details you notice when tripping is pretty fascinating.

I'd go for fighting/martial arts films. My personal favourite is Undisputed 3, watch the second one first though. The first one is a different storyline and wasn't as good as the second and third one.

Music - EMINEM... My personal favourite Eminem track is 'Beautiful'

I couldn't follow a movie if I'm tripping if I tried, I'd end up pausing it at certain scenes with color combinations that I like and just geeking out on them.

Wonder if Twilight seems better when tripping?

@Meister: You should definitely check out A Scanner Darkly or A Waking Life. The dude rotoscoped the shit out of those movies and they have the most esoteric plot lines. which means they work great for a tripper attention span. I have friend that refuse to watch a waking life UNLESS they are tripping, because they don't want to ruin the magic of it.

The Wall is also good for these purposes but way overdone.

I once played Scene it:Twilight edition with friends while tripping. None of us could make any damn sense of how to play but it was quite fun anyway

I've seen A Scanner Darkly when it was on one of the movie channels a few months ago, liked the movie and was really high but not tripping. I'll have to check out A Waking Life, never heard of that one.

You're kidding me? No mentions of Enter the Void or 2001: A Space Odyssey?

If you're on an amphetamine or Ritalin, Fight Club would also be good. Get the most out of all that movie's symbolism.

Enter the Void

I really can't believe that nobody has mentioned Alice in Wonderland! ~ Its really introspective and the paintings in that film are AMAZING.

I'd say that David Lynch is the king of mind fucks.  Particularly, his films Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive.  Total mind fucks.  His films are meant to be visually, auditorily and mentally consumed in altered states of consciousness; but requires total immersion into the film with a nice sound system.  Total genius at creating sequences that trip out the viewer.

Watched Steven Spielberg's A.I on MXE last night, it was surreal as fuck.

What does it mean to exist? Does the robot have a soul, it certainly has feelings. Maybe its real? If it thinks its real, what am I? Am I real? Am I a dream of robot? How do I know I really exist?

My mind was full of fuck, the movie and different realities collided.

Movie: Koyaanisqatsi (thank me later)

Music (if not the soundtrack of the above): depends on the drug e.g. Pink floyd for downers, Gorrillaz for uppers or downers, dubstep for uppers
