So I went to a psychologist hoping to score an adderall prescription, and he ended up giving me concerta. I've never tried ritalin, but I do love adderall. Is concerta nice, or should I go try another doctor? I primarily want it for focusing on things, but I also like the euphoria I get from adderall a lot

Concerta will get the job done. Why did you go to a psychologist instead of your usual physician? Concerta is methylphenidate, which is a CNS stimulant, so while they are technically used for the same purpose, Concerta is less likely to be abused, due to less euphoric effects. If you just saw a psychologist for the first time and tried to get an Adderall prescription, they're most likely not prescribing it for a reason.

Its pretty much the same thing as Adderall, just try it out for a week or so and say it doesn't work

It was a referral from my primary care doctor. I didn't go in just asking for adderall... I just went in describing general ADD symptoms, figuring I have a roughly 50/50 chance of adderall vs. ritalin. Originally I'd done the same thing at my PCP, but she said, "that sounds like ADD, here's a referral to a psychiatrist"

Yeah, they only give me Vyvanse once they found out how badly I abused shit back in the day. No worries now, as I don't even touch stimulants other than in emergencies anymore. :D
