Burning Man has a couple of camps that function as volunteer "post offices" but only for deliveries between participants (one camp to another) or from the playa to the default world after the event is over.  The US Postal Service most definitely does not deliver there.

Read about the difficulty in distributing emergency messages:

...then imagine trying to get a package of tasty morsels to someone.  Not likely.

See if you can open a PMB over the phone. I don't know if you can though. You can open a virtual office online without going in person at all.

I just checked for you guys. You can infact open a PMB without being in person. You just need to fill out the forms and have it notarized and have your IDs photocopied. The Notary Public will authenticate your IDs. You can just fax in that form once its notarized. That way you can have a PMB opened when you get there.

Also if you want extra security I suggest getting a Fictitious Name through your state's Department of Corporation website (only costs $50 for 5 years and you need to post a cheap ass announcement in your local paper). That way you can have your mailbox be a legitimate Business Mail Box.

no need to ship to bm. just be sure to vacuum seal and stash your goodies in your door panels or something. there are very few officers on the highways, at least arriving from the north. arriving from cali is obviously much different. many of the cops there specifically volunteer each year for the position. and they thoughouly enjoy the awesomeness that it the playa. )im sure the plethera of nekid girls running around factors in a bit too.) but they still have a job to do of course, so just don't be public with your party favors. keep it undercover. be smart. most of cops i've talked to there have been really nice. and that's exactly the advice they give me each time. just keep it out of their faces and you shouldn't have any problems.

Just saying that the $15 bucks it costs to open a PMB is better than risking driving cross country.

whatever you feel most comfortable with. the post office in Gerlach would definately be the closest to the burn. not sure if they have PO boxes though.

i for one would def want to keep my goodies on me for the drive rather than shipping them.. just get a good hiding spot in your car or a random place in your bags, wrap that shit up in your tent and then pack it, so when you set it up you got ur stuff right there haha.

dont sweat driving with ur goodies, just dont be dumb and get pulled over and ur fine.
