Title: Vendor cancelled my order, I call it: "no explanation" cancellation
Post by: shunyata on December 08, 2012, 01:30 am
I am new but still, I got no message explaining why my order got cancelled. I am very disappointed and feel it is not in the interest of the consumer to practice "no explanation" cancellations. I wasted my time and energy placing the order and now I have to do this all over again Ruined my plans for partying as well. Not happy at all about this. What the hell??

Chose another vendor and get over it. It's still the best site ever.

It happens unfortunately it's just how it is.

Of course I will chose a different vendor and move on. And yes, I still love this site. Still, I don't understand the lack of explanation.

Have you checked their vendor page?  Did you live up to all of the requirements?  If so, and they still canceled, fuck em.

I did use PGP and follow direction, and now I have ordered with others. I guess the original vendor didn't want my business. All I am saying a short note explaining why cancel is helpful in this community. I don't think I did anything wrong and now I will never know if I did. Oh well...

Was it at my vendor page?
I accidentally cancelled two orders instead of cancelling one from a request from the customer, and accidentally cancelled the other order.
Since I didn't have the customers username I could not send a PM.
A letter is underway though.

If it was you, please let me know so I can send out the package that is already totally waiting to be send  8)

Otherwise, I dunno. Sucks. If it happens again, PM the vendor and ask for an explanation. Perhaps it was accidental.

Take care.

Still, I don't understand the lack of explanation.
Probably because of the same reason you cited:
I wasted my time and energy
I agree that if you followed all of the rules listed on the vendor's main and product pages, it would have been nice for the vendor to provide an explanation.

I'm a new vendor and I've only canceled one order and admit I didn't provide an explanation.  They guy had like a 50% refund rate though and just didn't follow the rules that I listed.  By cancelling the order I delivered the message "I'm not interested in doing business with you" so I figured why waste time messaging back and forth about it when he didn't even take the time to follow my very clear guidelines.

Just to give you a vendor's perspective, a lot of people have no problem wasting my time.  I'll get messages from people that say they are very serious about ordering and they ask all of these questions which I take time to answer (usually delivering them the answers they want) and then I never hear from them again.

Also, scammers love to create new account with zero stats, please an order for a non-tracked package, then claim they didn't receive the package and insist on a refund.  There are a lot of scammers.  A busy vendor has scammers trying to order every day, so sending all of those people messages uses a lot of time in the long run.

I do think the vendor should say on their vendor page that they require previous transactions if they require that, so in your case the vendor may well be in the wrong.

Being a new customer on SR is risky.  Vendors require most of you to FE and you're prime targets for selective scamming from the vendor.  I've heard that a lot of people come to SR, get fucked and leave.  It is a difficult road especially when the buyers don't take the time to visit the forums.

Virmo, it was not you. Anyway, I sent an email and PM and nothing. I think the vendor is busy but he has no rule of FE or brand new buyers, so... Moved on.

Aw, too bad for both you and me. It was a great order!

Anyways, there are a lot of vendors out here so I'm sure you'll find something good somewhere else (which you probably already did).

Cheers
