Bad luck buddy. All your coins are locked until you find your pin.

Hello,

Can I check a one detail regarding the resetting of a PIN (I've forgotten mine) I have bitcoins in my account, if I follow these instructions http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/wiki/index.php?title=PIN

and and go to reset my PIN will I lose the money in my account (i.e. is it forcing me to create a whole new account) or its giving me the chance to reset my PIN on my current account.

Thanks for your help

Don't you have a main wallet?

Why would you put all your BC in SR account?

I just recently had this same problem and made the total newbie mistake of forgetting my PIN. I messaged Support and they only referred me to the wiki where it states you have six chances to put in your old PIN in order to create a new one. Not very helpful, but secure at least. Thank the stars I had written my PIN on a flashcard and just misplaced it. Good luck though, because I doubt the admins will be able to help you on this one, speaking from my experience.

Almost 2 years ago, when I first joined, I did the same exact thing. I made my SR account being completley skeptical of the whole thing, and not realizing how important a PIN could possibly be. I messaged SR support and it took 7 days to change the PIN, I was just given the choice to change the PIN on my current account and I did NOT lose my coins. I would assume the same holds today, but like I said, that was 2 years ago.

It's good we can change PIN after a period of time.
Otherwise many of us would get mad.

Thank you

I always write down my passwords and pins on a piece of paper and put it in my safe.

I recommend people who have forgetful memories or do a lot of drugs like I do to do the same.

Stay organized!

You just have to do without purchasing from SR until you can get a new one. If you want to punish yourself you can browse SR everyday, knowing you cant buy anything! ;D
