This would make things so much easier and quicker! Especially for using up those last 0.5BTC. ALSO, why is there only BTC and USD - GBP and EUR as well surely...
-
This would indeed be useful for searching purposes. Furthermore it could, although in a limited way, induce a certain additional pressure on price competition in favor of the customers.
-
This has been mentioned a lot by plenty of other users. It would be a great and viable feature to add to the SR. Hopefully with more threads created the SR admins will catch on that their customer base wants this added.

Please......
There was a high to low option a long while back ;)
Then it was removed.

I remember, and I also remember it never fucking worked properly. That's probably why it was removed. Someone didn't code it right.

U get what u pay for - lol
-
There should be a sort by the country it comes from feature too.

Seems like it was removed because it didn't do what it was meant to do...
Surely it's a very helpful feature?!?
-
I would like to have this feature put back on to the site. I think it would really help customers find my listings.
-
I also remember it being here and not working. I would like a (functional!) version of it back, very much! I often look for the lowest price anyways (of course) and it is quite tedious to sometimes look through pages and pages of wares to find the cheapest things only to forget if the thing on the previous page might have been the same value for a few BTC cheaper.
-
I wonder if they took it away because it was not functioning correctly or for the benefit of vendors that sell higher priced things.

I remember it working, cause I use it.
It wasn't perfect, but it did work.
Then some changes came........then.... poof, it was gone.
It would be a nice option. How hard can be coding a sort by price?
Anyhow, the site looks very nice, a bit slow, but very nice ;D
-
i remember using that feature....and noticing that everyone who had listings priced the lowest were cunting scammers.
-
I remember they used to have it.
I would like it back.
-
Yea I used it when it was there and it seemed to work pretty well. Some high price items were mixed in but having a slightly screwed up sorting is alot better than no sorting at all.
Plus I'm sure the majority of us are not buying QP's of weed or 10 grams of 25i-nBOME, it's making us look the entire listings of a product to find items in our price range.
-
There were a few threads on this after the feature was removed, but never a reply by anyone official. I think they don't want the feature, regardless of glitches. Maybe vendors didn't want it? It's not a hard thing to add or fix if fucked, so that's my theory.
-
It would be nice to sort just to see the cheapest substance available on the site...sometimes I have 15-30 dollars left after an order and easily viewing the cheapest goodies would be great for that.

Couldn't agree more. Most people are interested in smaller, affordable quantities so why should we have to scroll through pages of Qs, 'Whole Sheets' and 'Kilos'?? Bring it back already!!

Me too :(
It's a pain in the ass to have to trawl every listing...
-
'Back in the days' i like to use the feature, to find products for the coins left in my account after an order.
Nowadays i like to trawl through the offers in the categorys, to see what's best-selling and tbh mostly i find something i like very fast. Imo it won't be a lose to have that feature, but it's not necessary to have it, as long many ppl would use it and it would be easier for scammers to get their listings viewed. But w/o this sorting option it's harder for new vendors to get attention, but for that i think they have the forum :)
-
One of the problems is some sellers price their items in Bits and some do it in USD and I would guess that they are not compatible with each other when doing a high to low search. If everyone priced their items the same the feature probably would work better, contrary to what some think you cannot just program everything the way you would like as some things are just not meant to work together.
-
If a vendor has its' price fixed to usd, the amount of btc can be displayed too and it also should be possible to sort it. I don't think that it won't work technically.
-
U get what u pay for - lol
are you implying that SR is free?
sure it's free to browse i suppose, but once you are selling or buying it is no longer free. it's called commission.
-
+1
Any way to sort things makes it easier for the buyers.
We do pay a commission.
I think the new changes are wonderful, and look forward to more improvements.
-
I definitely think there should be one. It's really good at the moment (being able to sort it in three ways) but adding this function would be a big improvement in my opinion. If it was implemented, I guess it should probably exclude postal costs because then it might get a bit complicated. Go on, silk road, you know you want to.

Major +1
-
YES! Please add this feature. I know it's easy as hell to add and everyone would appreciate it for when we have like $6 left after our big transactions :)
-
Either that or it should be listed by quantity and you can compare prices among vendors
-
I want it back!
-
I want it back!
yes mee too, was great to see what was "whole sale" and cheap chippes, i used this feature a lot
-
Wow! This idea crossed my mind some time ago, glad to see there's a thread on it.
I think it's an exceptional idea but then I would cos I sell the cheapest shwag on SR :)
-
It would be nice to see them sorted by price
-
Would the Sort By Price option include the cost of getting screwed by scammers?
-
Duh. I asked for this long time ago. Along with list by region. These are simple edits that would go a long way.
-
i say no, this would spawn "shipping cost" tricks..

This is why I wondered whether it should include shipping costs or not. Obviously it would be best to have both. I don't really see how it would encourage these 'tricks' though because they can, and do, do it anyway.
-
Even if shipping wasn't included.. with the way the new site is, it would be very easy to organize the prices on the right.. seeing the country one could average in shipping costs. It would still help for those with little dollars they want to blow. Again tho, I hear no comment from any mods or admins, which seems a clear sign they have no intention of reapplying it. :-\
-
I personally think that just the price of the product alone would make a lot of people happy. I do not think the cost of shipping would be necessary for most people because it is so insignificant compared to the price of the product they are purchasing.

You haven't understood the point people were making here.
If we can sort low to high, everyone will do that. So vendors will lower the price of the product to bring themselves to the top of the listings, and then subsidize the cost back in with a higher shipping charge.
Not bothered with this feature myself, just search you lazy fucks.

I haven't understood the point people were making? I fully understand it. A lot of people would like to see a way to sort items by cost. It is that simple. If certain vendors want to play games and lower their prices to move them to the top of the listings and subsidize the cost back into to shipping that says something about them and I would not do business with them. I am pretty sure most of the good vendors on here would not bother trying to play any games like that. So I do think it would work.
Also there is no need to be calling anyone "lazy fucks". People just want the site to be easier to navigate. The search feature on SR and the forums is horrible.

" I do not think the cost of shipping would be necessary for most people because it is so insignificant compared to the price of the product" - this, to me, implied you didn't realise people were insinuating that the price of the shipping would be highered, making it significant.
"Also there is no need to be calling anyone "lazy fucks". People just want the site to be easier to navigate. The search feature on SR and the forums is horrible." - I use the term in a casual manner, I can see why some people would like it. I for one would like to be able to sort by country too or instead (to skip over the NL vendors).
-
Haha, Lim's Land Rover would be on top if we added this feature. ;D
-
I wouldn't so much mind the shipping costs.
Not really sure why folks are opposed to additional filters. If you don't like them, don't use them.
-
I WOULD LOVE THIS. I often find myself wishing it was already incorporated in the SR system. I use the low-to high price search in most all of my online purchases.
I would def welcome it !!!
-
I'd be much more satisfied with sort high to low option.
-
I think it would be a great addition but it should be a minimum of 3 to 5 coins. I personally haven't found anything worth buying cheaper than 5 coins.

Some people only buy personal amounts to take with them to a festival for a weekend and can't be bothered buying more than they need, so taking that into consideration I have to disagree. Also how would people find 20DollarBILL?! :-\
Others prefer to purchase small samples offered by vendors before investing in bigger purchases so that would be dumb to ignore certain listing as a result of their low cost. ;)
-
A low-to-high option would be cool, but I really wish there was a Vendor Search. For instance, if you wanted to see which vendors had the most transactions, ranking, or percentage of completions.
