Title: Canceling Orders?
Post by: dillyking on June 19, 2012, 04:17 pm
I had to cancel a few orders because of non-responsive sellers and non-shipment. To my dismay I was only refunded a percentage of the original transaction. I would understand if there was some service fee of a coin or so, but between these two orders I lost about 4 coins. That's almost $20 for no reason?! My order was never fulfilled therefore I had to cancel, why am I charged $20 for that? Thanks for any help

I'm wondering about this too. I'm a newish seller. I cancelled an order because I was hoping the customer would comply with the terms of my listing. So I wanted to change his order from 2 to 1 in amount. When I cancelled the person complained they received a partial refund. The buyer gets penalized when the vendor doesn't want to accept an order? Any info. would be appreciated.

I never got a straight answer from SR support, just that it's BTC fluctuation. I'm not sure how else to ask them, where my money went as well.  ::)
The only thing I can assume is that the buyer loses the SR commission ~4%, otherwise the seller would take the loss. (if that makes sense?!)
So originally the seller/vendor would take the ~4% loss IF they use Hedging, if a buyer cancels, he is hit with the loss.
Can any SR support confirm this??

Here's another thread as reference.

Can someone at least update the Buyers guide to reflect the ~4% loss that BUYERS are expected to take if they place ANY order Hedged (not sure about un-hedged), even if it's 'Processing' or 'Cancelled'??

SR hasn't responded to my inbox about the commission they keep no-matter-what. Anyone else comment on this?

And btw, you CAN place an order in your 'cart', even if the listing is gone/stealth, doh!  :o

There go more 'commission' fees, if my order gets cancelled  ::)  ::)
(I should just stop ordering until vendors can confirm they are shipping successfully, losing too many BTCs here, seriously...)

Same, and it didn't make sense to me. I followed up for a more concise / laymans terms answer and they responded again just copy/pasting the transaction details which didn't really help. I'm not sure what the deal with this is but it definitely sucks losing money!
