Title: Bitinstant "Cash Deposit" w/ debit card?
Post by: jamin210 on June 20, 2013, 06:03 pm
On the ZIPZAP payment slip it says please take to a moneygram location and use the express billpay.. I've dont it a few times and always used cash. However, I am trying to buy more BTC then i can withdraw in one day at an ATM and my banks closest physical location is a few states away.. Can i use a debit card at walmart instead of cash whilst still getting the speedy Xfer via bitinstant to blockchain? (buying bitcoins is legal so anonymity at wal mart w/ debit card shouldn't matter, Correct?)

Thanks In Advance Travelers

I don't see why not.  I would assume that as long as they get their money, they don't care how it comes.  We are moving towards a cashless society anyways, so I think you should be ok..  But check with the retailer beforehand to confirm.

That is what i am thinking also. I would also like to hear a positive affirmation from someone who has used this method. Thanks for the fast response, Haberdasher

I am tempted to say this has always been an option.  At WalMart you could always use your debit card for MoneyGram (although I had never tried it).  With more and more people using BTC I am becoming less worried about being identified or using Visa.  I re-sell my wares to people in local area though so if I ever got caught doing large amounts then they might be able to trace it back to the debit transactions (which would be bad).  But most small drug busts probably don't warrant that sort of investigation.

Just use your head and, I would say, try to break up your BTC purchases a little bit so that it's harder to track them to your SR buying habits (again I doubt the police would get this far into the investigation unless you were big-time).

Its worth the extra time to stay anonymous as possible. Just order enough for a while to make the trip worthwhile.
