So I'm in my late 20's and i have never really sat down and did some research on the hippie movement. Well, last night after watching like 2 documentaries on LSD i was HOOKED.
I watched:
"Peyote to LSD: a Psychedelic Odyssey"
"Albert Hoffman's Potion"
after i watched these 2 i just wanted to feel more of a connection to the time and the movement, so i checked out:
"Hippies (2007)"
"PBS Summer of Love"
I have to say after watching all this, i was almost in tears...The movement was so beautiful...it looked so happy and exciting. I feel like i have been robbed of the most free-spirited and life changing era of the past century.
The music, the creativity, and the comradery was inspirational. I just wish there was a way to push forth a movement like this again. With SR and the growing market of LSD i hope people once again say FUCK the confines of society
and live in peace and harmony with nature and the world...
I know the summer of love was a huge problem, but god did it look awesome... 100,000 young, impressionable people literally running away from home and living in commune on the streets and partying, fucking, and getting high for days sounds like the way to live....we had it right!
