Title: Is everything in bitcoins?
Post by: Genevity on July 09, 2012, 08:04 pm
Sorry, I'm sure this sounds like a really stupid question. But I'm just wondering, since every item is labelled with a bitcoin mark, does that really mean it's all in bitcoins?

It's just that I've seen prices that are appropriate for bitcoin amounts, for example if I saw a gram of some herb for 2-3 bitcoins, that'd be reasonable because that's a good price in USD. However, I've seen some ridiculous prices when the bitcoins are converted to USD.

And why can't the website just have a standard of pricing things in USD or other currencies? It follows the bitcoin fluctuations, but the user doesn't have to take the extra step of calculating anything they find interesting to see if it's a reasonable price.

Thanks, and if this question bothers you because it seems really obvious, get over it, I'm new. :D

You can change the settings to dollars in the settings tab on the main site... The default is bitcoin! :)

everything can only be paid in bitcoins in one way or another. therefore it makes more sense to be more concerned about the bitcoin prices and of course the exchange rate!
