After learning these exist I was disappointed to find there are none for sale on SR. I seen a handheld pill press which screwed down by hand to compress multiple pills. Many people on here would likely be interested in such a device.

It's because they're crap. They don't generate the force needed to compress the tablets into professional looking pills - they end up malformed/inconsistent and liable to fall apart. Plus it takes an age to do any kind of number.
I suppose they'd be OK for doing your own personal stuff but not for serious use.

Hey thanks for the info. That's unfortunate. Surely there must be a way to generate the force necessary to press a reasonable pill. Levers maybe?

If you use the right binder you'd be extremely surprised how little force it takes to press a good tablet, I've operated a hand-cranked tablets press before where the handle turned so easily you'd swear the pills were just going to fall straight apart to dust, but when you picked them up they were solid as little rocks.
The reason the handheld tablet presses aren't used is because they're so time consuming to use.

It still seems like people would be interested in them. Considering the only other option is a multi-thousand dollar press which must be somewhat difficult to ship. If you can make a few pills at a time I don't imagine it being so labor intensive that nobody would be willing to do it.
Someone should invent a more efficient device.
