Title: Would this be safe?
Post by: bobbb on December 06, 2011, 08:33 pm
Would it be safe for one to buy bitcoin from get-bitcoin and have it go directly into your SR wallet? Or is this too risky? If so what precautions should one take. Sorry if this is a noob ass question, still pretty new to all this.

I keep about 4 btc accounts and move the btc around in them a few times then i lastly create a new instawallet and move all to that then to the sr wallet.  Some say its not needed to "wash" your btc but i say, hell, better safe then sorry.

That depends on how you intend to buy the bitcoins and how paranoid you are. If you buy bitcoins (somewhat) anonymously, then I don't see a problem with sending them straight to your SR wallet.

It seems to me, but maybe I'm wrong, that alot of people simply go from Dwolla to a Safe-mail.net/tormail Mt Gox and straight to SR.

Since there's no real precedence of people getting caught in any reasonably paranoid manner, even that doesn't sound dangerous at the moment to me.
