Title: Moroccan hash straight from the farm? Is it possible?
Post by: Mangazi on November 15, 2012, 08:25 am
I know that Morocco isn't a huge exporter of goods, and they generally don't send out that much mail. And since they are a well known hashish producer, I guess mail from this country is going to be given extra attention in customs. I can't help to think though that there should be some way for them to go around this, and sell their hash at a greater price than what they are given for it by smugglers and European businessmen. Would it be possible for a Moroccan or Algerian national to take their goods across to Algeria, a relatively unguarded border, and post it from there? Would mail from Algeria also be suspicious? Right now on SR the price of a 100g plaque of hashish is around $550 all the way to $800 or more, depending on quality. That's probably more than twenty times the price a Moroccan farmer actually sells it for. I could see the price of hashish drop drastically if a source could be provided with less middlemen. Is this possible? Does any Moroccan know about the Silk Road?

The reason I am asking these questions are of course personal, I would like to get in on some great prices. But it's also out of consideration for the farmer. I can see how farmers could get paid more if they could bring their product directly into Europe themselves, with no more than one middleman at most.

My thought was because the farmer doesn't know computers
anyone civilian like will get machine gunned down or robbed.

The transport route from morocco is mainly ferries to spain.

Once that hurdle is passed, the drugs are in the eurozone and easily transported over the borderless roads all the way from spain to the netherlands, germany or any other country that doesnt have an overly aggressive anti-drug operation in place.

The route going east, through algeria, tunesia, libia and egypt isnt used that much. That route would either require passage through isreal, which is difficult for egyptians to arrange, or a detour through saudi arabia that carries death sentences for posession of even minute amounts.

Marocco does produce quite a bit of cannabis, but all of that is routed straight north to spain. It may be possible to send it directly by post from morocco to the customer by mail, or alternatively drive south to the uncontrolled western sahara and mail it from mauritania. Postal services from these countries are not very reliable though.
