Title: Should I be wary of this customer ?
Post by: Tunbear on August 16, 2012, 10:53 am
Someone has just ordered, but they have no buying stats so are new, their name is a bunch of random characters and numbers, but also their PGP version is old. Now, this wouldn't concern me if it was a Linux version, as it might have been used for other purposes and not updated, but this is a windows version, and is most likely just for SR.

So I'm worried this is a returning member who has conned people before, am I right in being suspicious or just overly paranoid ?

You shouldn't feel obligated to serve anyone that you have reason to be suspicious off, the most successful vendors are the ones that have no issue picking and choosing their customers.

There is nothing wrong with having a name consisting of random characters :<

v2.0.17 (MingW32)

If he was new to SR he probably downloaded GPG just for SR so it should be .19, so it makes me think he's had it for a while.
