Title: Electrum wallet help needed
Post by: ws on July 15, 2013, 12:06 pm
Hi guys I have electrum wallet, I am unsure how to get coins in there though, I went onto localbitcoins earlier to get some money in that wallet, how do I transfer my 0.3BTC from there to my electrum wallet?

I open my wallet on tails in persistent volume folder and brings up File/Wallet/Import/Export/Help tabs on top, then bellow have History/Send/Recieve/Contacts/Console.

I click on Receive tab and then below it Has Address and Label and below Address it just says main account?? At the bottom of box it says not connected??

To Send from my localbitcoin wallet to electrum wallet would need some sort of address right? What is my address?

Click the little triangle next to Main Account to drop down the receiving addresses. Use the first one listed and use a new one each time you do a transaction.

Make sure electrum is connecting to the network (otherwise you won't be seeing the new coins in your wallet).

And don't forget to write down or (preferably) memorize your seed phrase. That is your backup.

Thanks for your help, there is no little triangle on mine next to main account, also it shows that I am not connected on bottom left, how do I get it connected, I think maybe this must be the issue?
