Title: accidentally began finalize, didn't finish and can't cancel?
Post by: undeniableDillema on August 30, 2011, 02:13 am
i accidently clicked on 'finalize' and was taken to the page where you select a number 1-5 and leave some feedback.. i haven't clicked submit but i can't seem to figure out how to cancel this (i didn't submit any score/feedback so should'nt i be allowed to cancel this?)

i know, 'finalize' is final, but this is a two-step process and i accidently started the first step, why can't i cancel?

i tried navigating away from the page (back to my orders) but it now lists orders as one less than before my finalize-accident-click and now everytime i go to my orders page, it's waiting for me to enter 1-5 and feedback.. arg!

seems like a bug, there should be a cancel button next to the 'submit' button on that feedback page, no?

Once that finalize is clicked its done... I have just hovered over the "finalize" button and it finalized on me once. I use a mac and my touchpad will do that on its own every once in a while. As far as the system goes, as soon as that finalize is clicked, its finalized. No submit, nothing..

I would contact the vendor and give them a heads up..

I did the same thing with one of my first orders.  Once you click that button that's it.  I just emailed the vendor to let them know what happened, then finished off the task.

You can always go back and edit the feedback later, but those BTC are gone.  Hopefully if the product doesn't come, you and the vendor can still work something out (don't go and enter a 1/5 in feedback though, that would just piss the vendor off and I wouldn't blame them if they were a little upset, even if you promise to fix it when you actually get the package).

Maybe you should post something in feature request about having the ability to add a 'commit' button the finalize, so that it doesn't close it until you actually hit the commit button.  Of course then I am sure somebody will hit the commit button by mistake.

The best way to handle it is to just be careful with the finalize feature.  I won't even put my mouse cursor over the link unless I am ready to do it.
