Is this safe to do so, buying bitcoins of SR vendors? Using Weston Union as the 'middleman' i guess.
Anyone not recommend this? If so why not?
Many thanks for any help

I feel it's pretty safe it terms of being anonymous but there is a risk you could get ripped off. However, there are a few vendors you can trust that will not rip you off. Everyone swears by JumboMonkeyBiscuit and I've personally used moneyhoney. I'd say these are your best bets. You can find them by logging into SR and going to money section and looking for their listings. You can take cash to walmart or cvs and get a moneypak card and then give the moneypak number to one of those vendors and they'll send you bitcoins. Very easy but fees are involved.

Don't. Just, don't.

I was nervous too doing it for moneyhoney's minimum but it worked out. It's just getting hard these days to get the cash turned into bitcoins. Bitinstant is playing hard ball now requiring ID with zip zap. Everyone says Blue Sky Traders but some people have no bank of americas around. Everyone says localbitcoins but why would I want to meet some stranger in face as opposed to getting a moneypak card at cvs and then just sending that to a trusted vendor?

why do you oppose this method goatfisher can you please explain why you would not use this method?
Thanks

Hi Neo,
If you still need Bitcoins in the UK, take a look at www.Bitcoin-Brokers.org They will sell you Bitcoins for 2% below MtGox rates and you can pay by MoneyGram if you have one in your neighborhood.
