Title: Any other forms of anonymous communication?
Post by: badboy97 on January 11, 2012, 05:54 pm
I would like to have more direct communication with some of my customers on Silk Road.

Is there another form of anonymous communication other than the typical tor email addresses?

Perhaps some type of tor chat program or a tor Skype program?

Any input would be appreciated.

Join us in SILC Chat http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=175.0
It's like an IRC channel tunneled through tor.

TorChat [ code.google.com/p/torchat ] is a Tor hidden service-based IM application that might be worth looking at.  There's some additional information on Wikipedia [ secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/TorChat ] as well.

As I recall, StreetPharmacy [ silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php/silkroad/user/11842 ] has used TorChat for the purpose you describe, so you might ask him/her about it.

TorChat is an insecure hunk of shit that not only makes you far easier to trace via making you run as a hidden service instead of a client, but also which has so many bugs in its code that if you run it you will probably be pwnt in no time if you ever use it to communicate with an adversary. TorChat should be avoided at all costs.
