SO when i uninstall, and delete everything to do with Bit Coin off my computer (iMac)
it appears to delete everything, but i have recently re-installed the Bit Coin wallet back (this time onto a USB drive)
I boot it up and low and behold there are all my old transactions sitting there !!! How does one go about cleaning this previous history information from ones computer FOR GOOD!
Im sure if i was raided the cops could dig this info out of my iMac wherever it is that bit coin wallet stores it - and that cant be cool
Cheers

it's the same as windows - it keeps the history somewhere hidden in the user directory. the only ways to clear it out properly is either find exactly where the history is kept (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory), stick it in the trash and do a 'secure empty' trash, or erase and install. TBH if you are that worried i'd do an erase an install, you can pretty much guarantee it will have put another give-away file somewhere else on the computer

"By default Bitcoin will put its data here:
~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/"
but there is nothing there, because i run the bitcoin wallet off the usb now..
so there must be another file somewhere else >:(
