output power, beamspecs, duty cycle?
-
Light a match in one second !!!
For when you REALLY need that smoke... ::)
-
Yeah what's the output power?!
Smoking is so much fun with lasers, I've yet to experiment while tripping balls, I do believe it would be quite mind-boggling, it's awesome on MDMA. The light makes the smoke look like oil flowing through the air when you wave it around like crazy.
I'd use this to light all my joints/bowls, just to be cool 8).

READ THIS!
Seriously this is considered a weapon and should be listed under the Armory.
For those who have no idea about this laser it MAY INSTANTLY MAKE YOU BLIND if you point at your eyes. Under the law to sell this laser, ie. at the industrial level it is mandatory to supply a protection goggle particularly above 500 or 750MW.
Just wondering, AsianVixen, what's the voltage output. And I know that laser sold DIRECTLY from China are not accurately specification-labelled, especially the power output. Also special batteries are required as they get hot after some use. If there is no quality check or control on this product be prepared for possibility of explosion.

I have several high quality very powerful lasers. Green, blue, red, all the fun. You need to take these as serious as regular drugs. I would rather be a Heroin junkie then blind from one of these lasers. It is so easy to have that light shoot into your eye. Just takes a reflection you won't even know it happened until you start seeing spots. Just be careful and BUY A GOOD PAIR OF GLASSES.
-
I've just got to ask.. do you have some sort of harness that I could use to fasten this laser to the head of a shark? ;D

I also hope the moderators and admin would look into this. A technical object which, if mishandled, can make someone BLIND IN A SECOND. It is as dangerous as a stun gun. Also there is no mention of mW voltage. I know people use it for astronomical purpose but laser above 600mW should be considered a weapon.
-
Yes. And those who are into buying this, beware, if you accidentally reflect a 750+ mW laser in the mirror or a WHITE surface and right into your line of sight, be prepared to learn about the Braille language. I can't believe there is no information of the mW output on the listing page. It's not being responsible at all to sell this product.

Based on my analysis of the photo on the listing page, I would presume the laser has an output of less than 500 or 600mW. Because stronger laser has a larger head diode and require more or larger batteries.

But will it blend?

But will it blend?
It can blind you, yes. A normal red laser can cause eye problems, imagine a laser that can light a match, it can burn your eyes quickly.
-
No shit it can blind you. I asked will it blend.

My apologies. Sometimes English isn't the first language for many members of the forum. Just trying to reduce harm.

I don't think it should be considered a weapon, but the danger is certainly there. I like to compare it to a chainsaw - it could be used as a weapon, and certainly is very dangerous if used recklessly - both to yourself and others.
If these lasers are seriously powerful (say, >>100 mW) you should be aware that the reflection from a window will also be powerful enough to cause serious, permanent, eye damage too. I don't want to discourage people from using lasers at all, but if you plan on doing so, read up on a LOT of background information on them! Also, take all warnings very seriously - if you were to shine a 100 mW laser (available under $30 online) into your eye, it is very likely that you will suffer permanent damage from doing so. The low cost and wide availability of these does by no means imply they are safe to use.
