It isn't easy. Is this is the first time you've ever tried to do something that wasn't easy?  If so, I  would suggest that you give up.  Sorry.

make sure you're using the Tor browser bundle for starters.

are you double checking how you're typing it in the TOR BROWSER??

It needs to be exactly like this

http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion
OR
http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php

make sure you're not typing www.  before the silkroadvb5piz3r.onion.

Sorry I could usually resist, but #1....it actually is fairly easy....#2, why bother even replying if that's all you have to say?

lotus_flower, I have been scolded for being unhelpful to you. I am new here too and  I found that it took me about a week to get the software figured out, especially the pgp encryption. There is much to learn about here  safety and security here and I found the forums here have the answers to all of your questions. First get the appropriate software, start with the Tor Browser bundle from here:   https://www.torproject.org/download/download . Then get your pgp software here: http://gpg4win.org/download.html . And your bitcoin asoftware from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoin/ .  These links are for windows OS by the way, there are other options for macs. Get your software installed, then use your Tor-browser (a modified Firefox it looks like) to go Silkroad at http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion . Every one who has been here for a while will tell you that it is easy,  but you decide for yourself. I find everything is easy once you know how! When you are getting set up, look for headings in the forums here like "pgp step by step" and the "Silkroad buyers guide". There is a certain amount of legwork that no one can do for you, but we all did it and you can too. Also, beware of helpful people who are trying to sell you something. My advice is don't plan on buying anything until you learn the ropes. I hope this gets you started and, for when you get there, welcome to Silkroad.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your comments and the good karma. Being snide with an innocent going by the name lotus_flower was a bit much, I suppose.  Bob Marleys  Redemption Song  is playing softly in my head.
