I got Liberte booting nicely from a USB stick from my old laptop, but the same stick doesn't work on my desktop - it just won't boot at all - screen stays black after bios screen disappears.
The desktop is definitely set up to boot from USB first (TAILS and Clonezilla both boot from USB no problem).
So the question is, does anybody know if Liberte is not compatible with a new-ish PC? It's an Intel Core i5.
I did notice something about "686" mentioned as it booted on my laptop...
Thanks.

Thanks very much for the response. You're probably right - its a processor with its own integrated HD graphics. Core i5 2105 to be precise.
Oh well, it works on the laptop and even supports two finger scrolling on its trackpad, so I'm not complaining.
