I have a particular fondness of opiates, having taken Tramadol sometimes daily for around 9 months (only 50mg once a day) and having dabbled with Codeine and poppy tea, and more recently, Kratom.
I've never had any problems with tolerance, dependency or withdrawal with any of these.. I'm quite sensitive to drugs and usually a low dose does me and I never need to re-dose.
Tramadol was a truly amazing opiate for me for a while, but after changing supplier it lost its magic for me and negative effects started to creep in (physical stress, jitters/anxiety, sleep problems etc) so I quit taking it.
I've been reading reports on Oxycontin and think it looks like a good alternative to Tramadol and poppy tea.. but I'm concerned about the risk of addiction, tolerance/withdrawal etc if I start using daily.
How much of a risk is that? How soon do these problems normally set in with Oxycontin and is it a whole different ball game to popping Tramadol? I've read reports that compare Oxycontin to heroin in terms of addiction potential...so could be talking a few weeks only before addiction problems creep in, if used daily at say 10mg?

Yes, it is highly addictive especially if taken on a daily basis. I hate to say it but once you've developed a proper opiate addiction it is with you for life apart from those 'super-heroes' who can and want to beat it. Be really, really sure you want to take the next step up.
