Title: Problem sending BTC to my SR address
Post by: kbear on March 28, 2012, 03:13 pm
Hi,

I sent some BTC to my Silk Road address from Intersango. This appeared to go fine; using blockexplorer.com I can see that the BTC are there. However, my Silk Road account is still showing 0 BTC available.

Am I missing a step - is there anything else that I need to do? Do I just need to wait a little longer? Or should it be instant?

This is my first foray into BTC so it's all new to me. Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanksm
kbear

I figured it out (or rather, somebody on IRC did) - I need to wait for it to have 6 confirmations.

In case anyone is having the same problem, you can go to http://blockchain.info/ and enter the wallet address to see how many confirmations it currently has (as it takes a little while to get to six). When it reaches 6 the funds should be deposited and good to go.

I've got a lot to learn (clearly) so I'll be on the wiki!

Hello Kbear

I also have the same problem.
I sent bitcoins to my SR address but it's still zero, a week ago i do it again but my SR account stays empty.
I don't know how to resolve this problem. Solutions need to be found here.
