I have an account on silk road. It has a simple password. I am not concerned because I only deposited BTC once to make a purchase. I ended up depositing .21 BTC extra. I noticed last night my .21 BTC was withdrawn. Does this mean I was hacked ? It seems unlikely given how slow tor is. Brute-force and the addition of the PIN having to be cracked seem like too much. Is there some process I am unaware of that took my .21 BTC? I made one purchase for about 22 BTC and had that change left.
Oh yea, right before this happened I got a message saying my PIN had expired. I tried making a new one that was trivially different and got errors.
Anyone know what is going on ? I am not worried, but I would like to keep that account because it has the start of feedback.

This is not a "technical support" question as I fully understand what a "withdrawal" usually implies. It was put in Silk Road Discussion because it is pertinent to EVERYONE if the account was actually hacked.
nice to see Silk Road has half-wit douchebag mods like 99% of every other forum on the internet.
I think there is even a sticky where the beg for money for the great job they do.. ROFL

you said you got a message that your PIN expired. Do you mean you got a message that your PIN was reset? your PIN should never expire, and should only be reset after an incorrect PIN has been entered 5 times. did you log in through a hidden wiki link at any time? the correct SR link is
silkroadvb5piz3r.onion

I originally forgot my pin because I just signed up out of curiousity. I then had to have it reset and support did that for me. I went ahead and made my purchase after creating a new PIN.
10 days later I am doing something and it told me that my pin had expired and I had to enter a new one. I tried a few times and got an error. I was frustrated but the message went away and I didn't think much of it.
Then the next day or so I notice my .21 BTC were gone. (Luckily I don't care.)
Could this have been a man in the middle attack ? I may very well have used a hidden wiki link at some point or a URL I found on the open web. I'm new to the deep/dark web and have been looking around lately. At some point I lost SR's URL because I can't/don't use bookmarks in the tor bundle. It is likely that I acquired the URL a second time from some link somewhere but have no way to be certain.
So I guess I was hacked ? LOL. First time in my 20+ years on the internet I have fell victim to phishing. Over .21 BTC!
I'm not sure how often this happens, but people should be made aware. Thats why I was annoyed when this was put into "technical support".
I'll make sure to change all pws and never get the URL elsewhere.

the mods do great work, typically clearing "pin reset" and "I need a .XX btc loan" threads out of the way to make room for someone who has been using the internet for over 20 years and can't identify a simple phish job, and by the preponderance of the fact that this thread is on the board, and thusly i am posting in said thread, that they are still doing their jobs very well,
dont shit on the mods here buddy, we will all come down on you, open a new buyer account, write down the silkroadvb5piz3r.onion, and start all over.
welcome to the party
