Title: PortablePGP - Where the hell is my "Public Key"?
Post by: GottaDoIt on February 02, 2012, 10:58 pm
I don't get it, I must of missed something. So I create a key pair in PortablePGP and I have them in the software, but how do I get the:

--- bla bla begin public key bla bla-

randomblabla384237

--- bla bla end public key bla bla-

That I share with anyone who wants to send me a private message. What have I forgotten/missed? This is really bugging me!!

in the GNU privacy assistant select your key pair.
it should be the only one with a yellow key on top of a blue key.
go to export.
export it.
open it.
copypasta

That was simple.. last time I tried to export my public key and opend it in notepad I got a bunch of unreadable symbols..

One more question then, is PortablePGP good? It's not known for being unsecure or anything is it? It's just that everyone else seems to be using "Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (MingW32)"..
