okay so i have a bunch of extra mid grade bud and a pack of instant banana nut bread mix that just needs water. what should i do here heat the weed in oil and use oil instead of water or just powder up the weed and dump it in the mix and bake it that way? ive never actually baked with weed so some experienced advice would be much appreciated

I'm not so sure the 'just ass water' stuff is the way to go, its no more complicated to get a reg box of brownies or cake mix simmer the shake into 1/2 cup of oil, add an egg or two and done & done.

You need to extract the thc and make pot butter. If you just put the weed in without extracting it will cause alot of stomach discomfort and you wont get nearly as high. Plus it will taste like shit. Take a large pan and put a couple of inches of water. Put a smaller pan directly over the larger one. Fill that bitch with a good amount of butter and heat. When the butter melts put the weed in there. Simmer for 45mins up to a couple of hours. The longer the better (more thc extraction). Strain the weed out and what you have left is gold.

but its christmas and everything around here is closed sop cant go grab brownie mix i kinda gotta work with what i got

I think you may be assed out bud. For tonight anyway. I suppose your going to try anyway, in which case your best bet would be to steep the shake into the correct measurment of water, be sure to account for water evaporating while boiling.

would it be such a bad idea to replace the water with oil? i know oil is good for extracting thc like butter is but would the oil fuck up the bread?

That's exactly what I'm not sure of, I'm no baker, but I assume if the recipe calls for water, then oil might not suffice. Good luck

actually i looked up some baking stuff and i came up with a solution. gonna substitute milk for the water and extract the thc into the milk

I'm not backing any more
but I know butter was the best to dissolve your THC,
adding bananas or chocolate = adding an MAO-inhibitor, you'll have a longer, more intense experience
-
actually the milk turned out great. i kept needing to add more because my original 4 cups kept evaporating. it had a super strong weed taste. i used 8 grams of trimmings/shake and i drank 1 cup at a time. it just kept knocking me out. i couldnt stay awake with that stuff

When working with milk you should make shure not to boil it,
because THC evaporates below the boiling temperature of water & milk (if I remember right),
that's one of the reasons I prefered butter, because it turns brown (burns) before you reach that temperature where THC evaporates.
Experimenting with MAO is great fun,
but be warned that it can greatly prolongue the effect and make the effect much, much more intense.

well i used a double boiler for the milk and avoided any burning. the color may have changed slightly sort of like it was evaporated milk but that could have been from the weed too. all in all i heated it for around an hour
-
As I said, it's been a long time since I did it,
but to my opinion cooking 1 hour is WAY TOO LONG.
THC dissolves very easily in fat (butter) and quite quickly in milk.
You need to crush you weed first (make it is small as possible without heating it: don't use a "kitchen robot"!),
then you put it in the butter/milk and heat it for maybe 10 minutes...
You might want to try it like this next time - might make a difference...
good luck

because THC evaporates below the boiling temperature of water & milk (if I remember right),
THCs boiling temperature isn't below that of water.
Boiling points:
-----------------------
Cannabidiol (CBD) : 66°C (150°F)
Cannibinol (CBN) : 185°C (365°F)
THC : 200°C (392°F)

I recommend you download Delta11's guide to baking 'The Complete Guide to Delta11's Famous Edibles' http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=95811.0 it's got really easy to follow recipes for cannaoil, cannabutter, and lots of great edible ideas, it's an excellent read and invaluable for anyone who wants to learn how to create quality treats, best of luck with your baking :)

Thank you for correcting me (as I said it's been a long time since I did any baking myself).
I just remeber you were not supposed to cook it, I thought it was because of the THC, but apparently it's because of the CBD... OK - it's still a good reason not to cook it too long...

Cannabidiol (CBD) : 66°C (150°F)
Cannibinol (CBN) : 185°C (365°F)

You listed the MELTING point of CBD. The boiling point is much higher - 160-180C (356F)

Cannabinoids aren't monoamines so I don't see how a MAOI would prolong their effects...

I don't know the theoretical explanation,
I just know that when I added lots of chocolate to the cake,
the effects were stronger and longer.
I didn't try to bake with banana, so maybe it was just the "energy-boost" from the chocolate that had an influence instead of the "MAO"...
