Title: Objective vs. Subjective
Post by: ibnill77 on August 13, 2013, 03:47 pm
Subjective information or writing is based on personal opinions, interpretations, points of view, emotions and judgment. It is often considered ill-suited for scenarios like news reporting or decision making in business or politics. Objective information or analysis is fact-based, measurable and observable.

Objective: the color of the car is blue
Subjective: the best car color is blue

Objective information is sill subjective by the choice of parametrisation.

For example, a poster could endlessly cite statistics for Communist state or Islamic groups, and those would be fact-based, measurable, and observable. But the choice to emphasise Communist state or Islamic groups, over, say, the crimes of one's own state or domestic radicals, is a subjective choice.

This is lying through the use of truth. Subjective choices being parcelled in objective wraps.

If you view something objectively, you view it from an outside perspective without bias. An objective analysis is one that is not based on your own opinions, beliefs or motivations. Subjective means an assessment is altered by your own opinions or biases. One trick that has always been particularly helpful to me is to try to think of the root of the words. So, objective equals object.

Subjective: The rule that requires 50 posts and which leads to these kids of threads sometimes seems pretty silly
Objective: The dude who is spamming this forum with the Bitinme "HOT PROMOTION" threads is a turdburglar.

Both are different but alike in many ways.
I find the use of both go very well together.
