The inbox has a "delete" link, but the "sent" folder doesn't. It would be good to add this, in the spirit of not leaving any info / past communications just sitting around. Thanks!
-
I agree 100%! Please add the ability to delete sent emails ASAP.
-
Another reason why you need to encrypt all communications with gpg.
-
I think this is crucial. Should be implemented ASAP.
Please do something about this SR!
Maybe even don't keep a sent message folder at all.
Thank you.

I agree, I would like to see this function added as well.

This was discussed before in the old forums.
It's pointless because you can't ensure the other party will delete messages, and the main threat is that the server will be compromised. As cronus12 noted, the only way to protect yourself against this is to use encryption.
PGP everything.

It's not that hard to coordinate with both parties to delete messages. Currently it means you'd still be stuck with sent messages until the end of time.
Your "What if" scenario is not a valid reason for not implementing this feature imo.

Why not just make it available, since it's already there in the "inbox" area. It can't be that hard, it doesn't hurt, and it doesn't have to be mutually exclusive with PGP-ing everything.

Yes Please...add this ASAP

bump 1UP
It would only be cosmetic
think about how many copies of a message there are, at the very least:
sender has one
receiver has one
server
server backup
any scrape anyone does
assume digital information lasts forever. Deletion from gmail etc is just cosmetic.
I guarantee every drunk tweet you have ever made is archived somewhere.
