I would say that the FBI takeover of Silk Road is a major bug. When is this going to be fixed?
Or should this post be in feature requests?

+1 it may be the last I give and you thoroughly deserve it for the giggle.

+1 right back at ya. Lost an enormous amount of money and I am still here laughing. Humor is needed at times like these.

*hugs* for the loss. I hope you're nowhere near the land of the *ahem* free and if you are that you stay safe. It's mighty dangerous around these parts at the moment.

Just wondering, are all silk road users all over the world in risk of getting caught?

Sad times ahead. Was good while it lasted so easily. Goodluck with everything Synth, you did an excellent job

No need to cry over spilled milk, just move your listings to the SheepMarket or BMR.

Logic would tell us that BMR and Sheep are next in line for the take down. They went for the big fish first: Atlantis and SR, those will be next in line, surely. I guess as long as we're all really careful and safe they can still be used, but I wouldn't expect them to be around much longer either. Nonetheless, there's always going to be a market for a black market mail-order enterprise, surely something will fill the hole SR has left.

Atlantis shut down voluntarily, rather than being taken down. Drug source boards have existed for years now... they don't just get raided domino-effect style. SR only got taken down due to some major fuckups on DPR's part. The Feds don't suddenly have some magical ability to locate and seize tor hidden services. No need to spread irrational fear :)

+1 to OP for making me giggle after an hour of depressing reading. -1 to the US government for being a bunch of douche canoes.

This messageboard is still online. They didn't take over this one. That's good cause then I can type here :)
One cool thing with this forum is that I don't need to enable Javascript to use it. Also that Bitcoin didn't crash to 20 USD means that the largest market was not drugs. The price just fell to what the price was about a month ago.

I don't think the price will fall too fast. Bitcoins are still useful, and I don't think any vendors will be cashing out any time soon. Though if the feds wanted to hurt bitcoin, they could flood some exchanges with cheap coins for a couple weeks to break everyones confidence in the curency.

When I woke up this morning and discovered Silk Road was gone, I decided today would be a drug day.
I suppose it made it a little less shitty. But a lot of people have lost a lot of money.
From the information we've been given, it still doesn't make sense how it all happened.
