Hi, I'm buying a half sheet of non-perforated LSD from OrderOfThePhoenix.
I need your advice guys, is this safe to do?
1. Use ruler to draw cutting lines with mechanical pencil (each tab is supposed to be 1/4 inch).
2. Cut with sharp object.
What would you suggest I cut it with? And is it okay to place the ruler on the blotter with minimal pressure just so I can draw the lines? Is there something else I should use other than a mechanical pencil?

Start cutting it into ten strips. A ten strip is .25 x 2.5 inches. From there, just cut them up into individual tabs (.25 x .25 inches).
You could just print out this 1/4" graph paper, staple it to your blotter, and just cut along the lines.

I just use a sharp scissor to cut.

Thanks for the link, I appreciate it. I don't think I'm gunna staple it to the blotter though.

You don't have to. You can figure some other way to align it with your blotter, so as to suspend it in its position while you're cutting. Or if you have some other idea, tell me.

Yeah it's something I'd have to think about.
-
I would just eyeball mine. I probably hooked a lot of people up though..

Would this work well for cutting out single tabs and strips?

^^ Yes, X-Acto knife is the best for this. I've used it many times for this exact purpose

Never heard of unperforated blotter before o.O let us know how that turns out and how the acid is (i've been thinking about grabbing some)

Sweet, does the X-Acto knife I posted a link to do the job, or do one of these look better:
http://www.amazon.com/X-ACTO-Series-Knife-Cap-XZ3601/dp/B005KRSWM6/ref=pd_sbs_op_2
According to the description it's their "sharpest, most durable" X-ACTO blade ever. The blade is coated with zirconium nitride, does that matter for what I'm using it for?
Then there's these ones, but so far the above looks the best out of all four.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being way too cautious. ::)

Seems pretty straight forward to me. You don't even need to draw lines. Just put a little dot every .25" along the edges. Cut with scissors or a blade or whatever. I'll probably just cut mine as I need them.
Try not to get oils from your hands on the paper. Use gloves or whatever.

All true. Thanks for the extra advice.

Any of those X-Acto knives will work.
Might as well get the Z series, since its the best price and at the top of your list ;)

I would, but Amazon requires a $25 minimum for purchasing that since it's an add-on item.
Nice signature btw, I'm wearing a Sublime shirt as I type this. :P

I'm loving how it's almost always cheaper for me to purchase an order with an add-on item than without. If I'm purchasing something ~$18-20, I'll have to pay for shipping which'll bring me over $25... but if I add on the right add on item, order comes to about $25 and includes free super saver shipping. Fantastic!

Love this thread, you guys are really overthinking this, any kind of scissors or blade will work. Of course if you really are looking for what the pros use ;) http://www.amazon.com/Dahle-18E-Personal-Paper-Cutter/dp/B000W1YNNW/ref=sr_1_9?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1369220293&sr=1-9

Ya no doubt man I'd just hate for my first semi-bulk LSD order to go bad because I dun fucked up on making squares. :P

It's pretty much as simple as you described.
From experience:
Equipment:
1. Scissors - clean and sharp
2. Pencil - sharp
3. Ruler - clean
Steps:
1. Make sure hands are washed and dry.
2. Lightly draw desired grid size.
3. Cut tabs as needed.
Just makes sure you only hold the sheet as little as possible.
Like I said, simple :)

Oh yeah it's actually pretty damn easy. I didn't think it was gunna be too complicated I just had no experience at the time of posting.
I received my sheet from OrderOfThePhoenix, pulled out my handy scissors and printed out 1/4"x1/4" graph paper. Even if the tabs get cut uneven it's not that big of a deal.
Good shit. Was able to resell just fine, not one complaint, only great reviews.
