Title: SmartCoin- Does he work?
Post by: Question Mark on November 08, 2012, 01:41 am
I just placed a $200 order with him for 16.5 bitcoins.

he has nearly 300 transactions and a 100% positive feedback rating.
Just seeing if anyone on here has used him before and can definitely vouch!

Thanks,
QM

Came through for me, very quick, too...seems like  after some periods of time, bitcoin providers start slowing way down...then we are faced with the decision of either waiting a couple of days, or trying a new vendor.  I couldn't wait, so I tried smartcoin, and he was fine...I'm in the process of doing a second transaction with him...best wishes..

Ok, thanks. I've been repeatedly pressing F5 hoping to see my account balance jump up, but it hasn't happened it. I need this for 3Jane's final listings!!
hopefully he'll pull through by the time I leave tomorrow morning

Yep, I had to try a new one: btc King is gone for a bit, btc buddy went stealth, and I won't do stealth, tho btc buddy has always come through...but still, got to see feedback...and Sugar Mama has just slowed down more than I can take....so as long as smartcoin stays quck--and reliable, of course--I'll be staying with him...I'll let you know as soon as this one comes through...its of course important that we do our part, too, and let others know how things go with btc vendors...since there is no escrow, our feedback, on forums and on main site, is vital!

I can vouch for him, i trusted him with 2k worth of MPs and he came through.  although he took a little while, but thats a given considering it was such a large amount.

Nothing yet people. It's been nearly 24 hours and I haven't gotten any messages / my order has not been fulfilled yet. I definitely still have hope though.

Having no escrow always puts me a little on edge. especially with vendors that arent huge..

Listings being pulled not necessarily a bad thing: a scammer leaves listings up, naturally, in order to get more people.  I sent him message, asking why order not filled, after 24 hours...no answer yet...I"m worried too...lately, with btc vendors, worry is rational ;)  If this goes bad for me, I'm signing up with MtGox ... I had account with TradeHill but when they went under, it took me a couple weeks to get my money....can't win with this shit...in any case, I haven't given up on SmartCoin yet...but I wish he'd answer messages....pulling listings *and* not answering messages, since it shows he's been on there today, now *that's* bad :(

I've decided to request a refund on my moneypak, because I can't take this anymore. $200 in limbo and being a student just doesn't work for me.

It does suck, and it doesn't totally add up, but after 24 hrs, no msgs, no transaction, it's probably a goner...mine too...fuck.

EDIT 11/9: Well that's weird: today I got order canceled, and moneypak wasn't used...and on his site is message:
"ON VACAY. BE BACK SOON!!"

So I got my moneypak back, and it wasn't a rip...but still, totally off not to send a message so we don't spend days wondering 'what the fuck happened!'
