Title: Stop unfair feedback
Post by: hanuman on March 25, 2013, 06:36 pm
I'm a fairly new vendor and have just had a 1/5 feedback claiming their item never turned up. Now I send everything recorded and if buyers want to take a risk on non-recorded delivery it's up to them but they must FE. I'd rather send everything recorded but I get that some people don't want that.

So here's the rub, it must have been a recorded item because no FE. I got no message saying it didn't arrive because I simply could have sent them tracking or resent. My guess is a rival vendor doesn't like me taking their customers and has decided to take it into his own hands.

Now what the fuck can I do about that? If it happens again I'll have to stop accepting orders from anyone with low stats and that sucks for new buyers.

So we need a solution. If I could at least see who sent feedback I could not sell to them again, there is nothing to stop the same person doing it to me again!  Any suggestions welcome but aside from me being able to send SR tracking I'm not sure how I can stop someone shafting me like this...

I am almost sure you can see that. Maybe not from viewing your listings as a buyer but if you search in your account there is a way to see who wrote every feedback.

What so guys make every one FE or send it recorded?

Kind of shitty if you ask me.

New buyers yes but serious buyers no, its just going to put people off.

As for feedback you can click on it and will show a list of who wrote what, learn from it,  move on,  nothing to get over worried about.

If it is like you say a rival vendor he/she will be laughing their heads off at this thread, cant show pain buddy, just limp and walk away ready to fight another day.

Chin up!

:)

I think you have a point here. We are a new vendor as well and it is very easy to tarnish a new vendors record with a cheaply purchased 1/5 feedback score. Could be a rival vendor or simply a scammer preying on the "young". They do it once, then sign up with a new account, use a different shipping address and they just got you again and you dont even know it. This is why our refunds policy is the way it is. Shipping with tracking is the most obvious route around this, but depending on the country this may not be easy to do safely.

What is to stop 'serious' buyers, let's say 10 or more good stats from ordering an OZ without tracking and then claiming it didn't turn up. I lose half the money, they get a good deal and off they go. Just like everyone else I'd like no-one to get scammed but all I can do is protect myself as much as possible. I think it's fair enough. I'm not being a dick, just making a choice about how to do business. I want to track all orders so people don't nick my stuff for free.

Serious buyers= more than 3 months on the road, at least 50 btc spent anything over 100 btc then treat them right these guys will spend a shit load, 200 btc spent no need to worry here.

Look at their refund rate, if there is one find out what happened by cross checking if the vendor they got a refund off was/is a scammer, if so, then its not their fault.

A serious buyer will not want to fuck their stats for the sake of 14grams worth of weed.

You will find any buyers over the 100btc spent mark to be almost 100% trust worthy, of course there is always a risk but thats what you have to accept, if a buyer is serious then you will just know.

Offer say a 50% reship or refund then every one is happy, other vendors manage so it must work with out this recorded delivery/FE thing.

Not having a go, but it would put me off.

if you want to protect yourself then going into post offices filled with cctv to ship drugs recorded probably isn't the wisest move. anyway if you have the tracking then message the buyer about it and if they don't respond see if anyone at sr support will do anything considering you have proof of delivery.

How about only allowing a buyer to leave 1/5 feedback when the order has been sent through to resolution?

A resolution that the buyer agrees on must result in a 3/5 rating, or 2/5.

I think the proof of registered mail can also be falsified. What's more important its that it becomes possible to come to an agreement, by simply sealing the agreement clearly in conversation stating that both parties agree to a certain refund rate that is offered by the Vendor. Everybody can then anticipate their losses.

For all the business I've done legally, that's the only way escrow is used by for instance the takeover of a business, a term to pay, which is set by the resolution system automatically, as well as a penalty or perhaps different penalties for anticipated situations might the need arise. It would definitely avoid disgruntled customers who were anticipating a higher settlement from silk road staff, if it comes that far and the vendor sitting with a nasty review.
