What's the deal with hydro/oxy pricing??? It seems like some things on the road are way cheaper than I can find via hookups in my town (such as shrooms and especially benzos) but other things are a LOT more expensive - mainly prescription painkillers. Is there a reason for this? Simply supply and demand? Vendors know people will pay these absurd amounts so that's what they charge?
I live in a small town so finding hydros/oxys is pretty hard, but when I do it's fairly cheap. The most I've ever paid is $5 for a 10/325 generic oxycodone, and usually $3 for 10mg hydros. On the road, however, prices are almost triple this... what's the deal? On the opposite hand, I can find xanax bars and kpins (name brand) a lot easier in my town and yet they're about 2 - 3x more expensive than on the road.
Note: I will NOT be moving to heroin, I take painkillers occasionally for the "high" but usually for legitimate back pain (bulging disc but my doc won't give me anything stronger than codeine. Ugh). I have a low tolerance, only 20-30mg of hydro/oxy will have me feeling great but even at those moderately low doses I can't afford it at ~$1.00/mg.
Any thoughts or opinions, comments or additions?

Supply and demand. The supply is limited and addicts are willing to pay the high prices (demand).
I personally haven't come across anything on Silk Road that I cannot get cheaper elsewhere.

Some drugs are easier to get than others. I picked up some Adderall recently and got raped. 20mg Adderalls on here can sell for 20 god damn dollars! Adderall and painkillers are a hell of a lot harder to get than a few years ago before Ryan-Haight.
