Just finished pressing the first batch of my new lucid dreaming capsules. I will try one tonight; if it works, I will release them to the SR public. The ingredients are (in order of mass)
Piracetam
Valerian Extract 5:1
Damiana Extract 4:1
Vervain Extract 4:1
Holy Basil Extract 4:1
Wild lettuce Extract 4:1
Passionflower Extract 4:1
Ginkgo Biloba Extract 24% Ginkgolides
Acetyl-L-Carnitine
Cytidine Diphosphate Choline
Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate (bioavailable B6)
Piperine
This one's a bit different from my other capsules.
For one, as far as I know no one has ever made anything like this. There is a pill that is advertised for lucid dreaming, which contains only galantamine and choline bitartrate; I think I can do better.
Also, as you can probably imagine, not much conventional research has been done on the psychopharmacology of dreaming (let alone lucid dreaming), so I relied more heavily on individual reports and general analysis of the physiology of the dream state than in the other capsules, which are more rigorously 'scientific'. That said, I used small dosages of the ingredients, to avoid adverse effects or interactions (first do no harm).
Before I start producing them on a larger scale, I'd like some feedback from you, the buyers. As an introductory offer, I will be selling a total of 18 capsules, at $4 for 2 capsules (including shipping; normal price will be ~$3 a capsule for 5). In return, I would like you to write a review of the product, so I can refine the formula (if needed) before the next batch.
To qualify, you must have at least 100 forum posts, and have been a member for at least 1 month. If you're interested, post here, I'll make a listing tomorrow.

hope it works, sounds really interesting

I am highly interested :) I am commenting on this to stay updated :)

Are these pills legal? If these work I would be REALLY interested in marketing these publicly. ;D
-
Holy shit. This would be an epic product if it works man. Better yet if the pill itself does it alone without further effort, but even if it'll enhance a WBTB technique or something, that's still awesome. Please let us know, I'm a huge fan of dreaming, especially lucid ones.
-
You could always put in the effort and do this for free/without pills.
But still, I'm curious as to how it turns out.
-
Not trying to hijack this thread or anything, but lucid dreaming is great and everyone deserves to experience it so I just thought I'd give some tips on how to induce lucid dreaming.
Stay up a bit late, enough that you'd be able to sleep in till say 10-11 am, set your alarm for 5-6:30 am. Have a caffeine pill sitting on your nightstand along with some water, go to bed, then when your alarm wakes up take your pill and immediately go back to bed. Hopefully you are tired enough to fall asleep again before the caffeine kicks in. If you do this right you will be asleep however your brain will be tweaked on caffeine.
Goodluck guys!
-
Sounds like you have done some really great work with this one buddy. Hats off to you good sir :P
Hope they work, I will certainly be wanting some if the lucky few peeps who get to trial them say they work.
Peace
-
Thank you for not throwing melatonin in these. :) I'm very interested. Don't get me wrong i love my benzos, but i don't remember my dreams when i'm asleep off them. Sometimes the best buzz you can experience is in your dreams if you can control it. :D

Hey dude any more of these samples going out? I'd love to try one

Great idea man, if these get some good reviews and only contain legal ingredients I see no reason why these couldn't be marketed publicly. Doubtful whether it would work more than the infamous half a block of cheese before bed.
-
If I recall correctly, according to Stephen LaBerg's research, galantamine was strongly induce lucid dreaming. Is that in this pill?
-
Any chance you have any more sample listings up? Pharmacology is one of my favorite areas of studies especially with psychoactive drugs. Honestly, I have never considered "the pharmacology of dreaming." I used to lucid dream often without even trying and haven't in a while. either way I'm pretty interested in experimenting with this and want to do more research on some of the ingredients you listed. Do you believe that only one of these pills/ the correct dose only once will induce a lucid dream? If so you have a very interested drug there.
-
Oh and also what are you suggested methods of use for this pill. What I mean is how long before bed/ between meals/ etc.
-
Looking forward to seeing the reviews!

Didn't end up taking one last night, will do so tonight.

That sounds like a good way to induce nightmares

No, it's not. Galantamine is a potent exogenous substance, which carries the possibility of overdose or adverse reactions. It is used as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, to increase levels of acetylcholine; I have included piracetam, acetyl-l-carnitine, and CDP-choline to acheive the same effect metabolically, without risk of adverse effects.

Yup, there's 5 left.
I think one should be enough to consistently facilitate lucid dreaming (or at least vivid dreaming), if not it's just a matter of changing the amounts of the ingredients, and maybe adding a bit of noopept when I get that.
Oh and also what are you suggested methods of use for this pill. What I mean is how long before bed/ between meals/ etc.
I don't know yet, but my guess is it'd probably be best to take it about 30 minutes before attempting to sleep, or if you're doing WBTB when you wake up.
-
I'm leaving the country on 5/29/12 how fast can you ship domestically? I want to try this and write you as good of a review as I can but I also don't want to waste your time by sending something then trying it two months later. If you can get it to me in 2-3 days I will order this tonight or early tomorrow morning when I wake up.
-
If you buy the listing within the next 12 hours I'll send it today.

would theanine or gaba help?

hmm sounds like a great mix you have there tryptamine.. might have to pick up a few.
-
^Lovin the SN there bro. Eddie Bravo FTW! Did you watch Korean Zombie's twister submission on Leonard Garcia? Dude's got crazy skill.
Anyway don't mean to get off topic. Still anticipating some reviews!
I wanna mention I had a lucid dream without even trying last week, I just dreamt my body was vibrating (or maybe it was real I'm not sure) and the next thing you know I'm flying out my window doing flips while seeing my neighborhood get smaller and smaller. And then everything fades to black and I'm not sure what happened next, I think I just woke up.
I'm hoping one day there is a substance we can take that guarantee automatically delivers a lucid dream; hell, even an OBE. <- That's something I've never had but have come close from listening to some isochronics.
-------
I also just wanna throw in this link:
www.iso-tones.com
The Astral Projection tone listed in the Spiritual section tripped me the f out the first 3 or so times (consecutive nights) I listened to it last year. It's half an hour long, and about 20-25 minutes into is when I noticed my breathing get difficult like I was snorkeling or some shit, and then my whole body went numb, and then I felt like I was floating, but I didn't get out of body. But shit, it worked well - probably would've "left" if I didn't get startled and lose focus.
-
I can't wait to see how this turns out, I really wanna get my BTC refund so I can order some :)
Best Regards,
Stormtrooper

Interesting, love to hear results! ;D

Sweet, can't wait to try these!

Hey tryptamine, I see you have put a lot of thought and effort into this and I feel that your product has a lot of potential. So I thought I would mention that you should check out Calea zacatechichi as it has a long history in the field of lucid dreams and perhaps you could incorporate it into this formula. I have personally grown this plant and had a lot of success with it for these purposes.
Just a thought.

Ok me and my friend both tried this last night. First I would like to compliment Tryptamine on his speedy shipping, shipped wednesday and received friday,
135 lb male: I have not done any drugs for a while now (no weed in 2 months, last drug I did was methylone and that was a week ago). Last night I barely even drank at the bar (2 drinks total). I came home really late around 5 am and then took this pill right before I went to sleep. I'd say I feel asleep around 6 am. I unfortunately did not experience a lucid dream nor a very vivid dream. I was really exhausted not sure if that affects the REM cycle since it was so late.
140 lb male: Also was out with me that night he smoked a ton of weed and drank but by the time he went to bed it was pretty sober since we got home so late. Also did not experience a lucid nor a vivid dream.
These are just two reviews and I have faith in Tryptamine that if this batch doesn't work he will produce something that will. Let's see what everyone else has to say in their reviews because two people is not significant in my opinion.
Thanks!

I was under the impression that Theanine would promote NREM sleep, but I see that there's anecdotal evidence that it can help induce dreaming. I might include it in the next version.

I was considering using it, but could not find a source for powdered extract.

Thanks for the review. Alcohol is the classic dream-suppressing drug, which may have prevented your friend (and maybe you) from dreaming at all.
On the other hand, I took one the last two nights, and although I was able to enter sleep paralysis more easily, I had trouble falling asleep (due largely to environmental factors), and eventually fell asleep non-lucidly. I think the stimulant elements in the capsule outweigh the sedative aspects, which I will address in the next version. For now, taking melatonin concurrently may help.
On the third hand, my habit of taking cannabis before bed usually prevents me from dreaming at all, so my results might not be typical either. In fact, my original inspiration for making this capsule was to find a way to dream despite the cannabis, although I may have bitten off more than I can chew. One of these days I'll try without cannabis. Also, when I took one an hour or so before sleeping, it put me in a relaxed but lucid, slightly psychedelic state which felt condusive to dreaming. Maybe it's a matter of falling asleep at the optimal time for it to work? More research is required.
-
How much melatonin do you recommend? I just got a bottle of 3mg caps; is that enough?
-
That should be fine.
-
You can get it on ebay. Just type in "calea extract".

Those are either fortified leaf (not accurately standardized) or tincture, and they'd be expensive to buy in larger amounts.

gimma a link ill buy em
-
So what do you mean you could enter sleep paralysis more easily. How does it related to lucid dreaming, just curious.
-
^ Sleep paralysis usually, I'd say 60-80% of the time based on my own experience, will lead into a lucid dream - or shit even better: an out of body experience. With me, I'll close my eyes after being sleep deprived for longer than I'm accustomed to, and shortly thereafter slip into a hypnagogic state and/or a brief dream will spontaneously occur. Next thing I know sleep paralysis is in effect, I open my eyes open and I can't move or my whole body is vibrating with electricity. Then after it fades, I'll fall asleep but next thing I know I'm flying [and i'm not sure how much time has passed at this point].
On a side note: I've never had an OBE yet, I've gotten real close though. But lucid dreams, plenty. My first ever was the most craziest, amazing, longest-lasting, realest one yet. I'll never forget it. But since then I've had another one like it, and the rest are just brief fun, brief flying and climbing on walls then it fades quick cuz I still get too excited.
Anyway, since this thread is full of LD enthusiast, I just ask and mention, has anyone heard of the Remee Mask yet? It's an affordable lucid dreaming mask you wear when you go to sleep. Kinda like that other Novadreamer thing, but that shit was $400-1000 or something. This remee mask will ship worldwide [based in US] beginning July/August and only cost $95. Pre-orders are being accepted now though.
Go to www.sleepwithremee.com for all the deets
And apologies if it seemed I hijacked this thread. Just tryna share some info.
-
^ I know what sleep paralysis is cause I've had it several times. I don't really understand why anyone would desire it its so scary and painful because for me its very difficult to breathe until I come out of it. I guess if it leads to a lucid dream it makes sense but for me it just leads into me waking up.

I have 2 reports on the Lucid Dreaming pills. First I should note that we are taking a post loading regimen due to a MDA/MDMA trip last Sunday. Here is our supplement list until last night:
morning - 1.8g piracetam / Choline 250mg / 1 mindfood
breakfast - Vitamin C 500mg / B-100 / Flax Omega Oil 3,6,9 1300mg
dinner - Vitamin C 500mg / multivitamin / Flax Omega Oil 3,6,9 1300mg
evening - 1.8g piracetam / 5-htp 100mg
==========
Husband's Report:
Male, 240lbs. Last Sunday took 250mg MDA with 150mg MDMA and 10mg 5-MEO-MIPT during comedown. Post loading as above.
At bedtime he took 1 lucid dreaming cap with 3mg Melatonin. He thinks he fell asleep within an hour. He did not have any lucid dreams. At a few points he knew he was dreaming but couldn't control anything. And he also had a recurring vivid dream where he was playing video games and noticed a bunch of things in the corner (things we don't posess). He said it was mundane and boring but very detailed and he normally doesn't remember any of his dreams.
He took a second pill when he woke up in the middle of the night with the same recurring dream and woke up refreshed.
==========
My report:
Female, 115lbs. Last Sunday took 60mg MDA, 50mg MDMA 90 minutes later, and 3mg 5-MEO-MIPT during comedown. Post loading regimen listed above.
I took 1 lucid dreaming cap with 3mg Melatonin at bedtime. I remember feeling very drowsy within 10 minutes and fell asleep pretty quickly. I had a few lucid dreams, mostly zombie apocalypse ones where I had to kill everyone after me (lots of fun, hehe). They weren't zombies, just a bunch of "bad guys" that I had to defeat which I did very heroically! I had a few dreams in which I knew I was dreaming but couldn't control anything. And a few dreams where I thought I was awake and looking around my bedroom though it was not any room I have ever been in.
I woke up a lot but I was able to fall back asleep pretty quickly. I was very mindful that I was falling asleep and was able to keep in mind that I was going to dream.
----------
I think we both fell asleep better than our chill pill trial and definitely woke up feeling rested. I have one cap left which I'll take in a few weeks when I taper off my postloading regimen to the basic B-100, multivitamin, and omega oil.
Good luck developing this further. It looks like I'm the first to have a lucid dream on the stuff! I'm sure it has something to do with my extra supplements, though not quite sure which those would be.
-
Thanks for the review. I've decided to merge this capsule with the ChillPill, since all of the ingredients used with the exceptions of piracetam, ALCAR, and CDP choline are sedative/somnifacient. I think better results may be achieved if one takes the next version of ChillPill and the new ThinkDeep before going to bed, I'd rather not have to compromise by trying to fit everything into one (615mg) pill.
