Title: Easy PGP for text w Ubuntu? (Right click encrypt / decrypt?) Anything available?
Post by: SRfan on April 12, 2012, 12:10 pm
Is there anything I can use for Ubuntu to make it simple to encrypt / decrypt text (like a right click with the option to do this)? I already know how to encrypt and decrypt text with Windows & Mac OS very easily but I can't figure out how to do this EASILY within Ubuntu. I've been trying for hours and am getting frustrated...

I have multiple setups running Ubuntu... I've tried using Kgpg which failed at the last step (got an error after I tried making a public key and now the application doesn't even load when I try). I also tried using Ubuntu's stock Password & Keys software but this doesn't seem to be for straight text (right??).

I've also tried FireGPG, but it's too old and unsupported in new Firefox version. I've also tried a couple of other add-ons and nothing seems to work as it should.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
