Hey guys, me again, managed to get a couple successful transactions complete, was wondering about receiving packages...
Simple question....
Is it bad to give your actual home address? Do most people not do that? Advice/insight appreciated

by the way I'm talking about accepting small items in UK

It's fine if you don't sign.
Remember that jingle.
Anyone can send some junk in the mail to you unsolicited.
With a controlled delivery, they try to get you to sign for it. If the vendor said you didn't have to sign for it, when it comes and what looks like a postman asks for you to sign, don't.

Wait, I thought that was just with USPS?
-
cheers thanks, yea thats what I figured, could be someone trying to frame me by sending me a package of drugs ;)
-
I think most people get it to their own addresses. Especially small amounts. Most people don't have many other options.

Hiya JJrocks77,
Small packages are no concern at all if your vendors use good stealth. Receiving depends on your personal living circumstances. I get mine to my own flat, but then I live on my own, and I am no radar cause it's no party palace and I don't deal. UK mail - 83 million pieces of mail on average a day, 5.3 billion pieces a year. There are no resources to even touch that.
You are more likely to get hit by a bus than have a secure SR package intercepted.

SWEET!

Obviously, if you can use somewhere else thats best
If its a domestic order, that adds some security
and like everyone else said,
DONT SIGN.
Get to know your mailman, and if its a different one than normal, you may have problems.
