Hi I had some bitcoins in sr and have been told to transfer them to a long code number,so i tried to put the code into withdraw bitcoins with the amount but it came back and said invalid code,so i then put the vendors name in to"send to another silkroad member thinking that it would then ask me for the code on the next page after i had done this, which it didn't.
How do u send to just a code number and have i messed up as the vendor no longer trades on silkroad, but still answers messages and is on most days.I just hope i haven't messed up!Thanks for any help in advance.jj71

You may have messed up in that if you're not using Silk Road for purchases, you're not using escrow, which means you risk being scammed. I find it very strange the seller is doing it this way, especially as it's BTC. I could understand Ukash, Paysafecard or whatever not being done through SR, as it's not the right format. However with BTC - especially if they're already in your SR wallet! - I thought sellers just created custom listings. Who is the seller, what's his/her reputation like?
From what I remember about transferring BTC to another user, I'm pretty sure you just enter their name and your pin and it sends, don't think there's an additional confirmation screen. So the seller should have the BTC already, have you checked your account screen to see if the BTC was sent?

Somthin' tells me your about to get scammed. How many transactions does this seller have. You sure he didn't run up his totals by buying a bunch of free digital stuff or buying into a bunch of fake lotteries? Go slow. Don't bypass escrow. Your asking for trouble.
I hope it's not this guy: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=12835.0;topicseen
