Hi! Any reliable suggestions are so welcome. I've been using Bitinstant to get my BC for the past few months without any issues. Recently, they switched to the new format where you need to register with valid email, address, dob, etc. Which I eventually caved and gave info up. And then the "authentication quiz" failed because they were not accurate questions. So... My long winded question... Is there another reliable and trusted source for buying bitcoin? I also tried coin mama which was denied by money gram for possible fraud. Frustrating.

Yeah I've been in the same boat for days.
Localbitcoin is a viable option but I don't already have an account at any of the sites that you need to pay through, and like Coinbase they all take days. Looks like we're not in the same boat, we both *missed* the same boat.
Hopefully someone else chimes in with something awesome. :)

I would love to have the perfect answer to your woes, but I'm also in the same boat. If you're not interested in taking the linking-your-bank-account-to-an-exchanger route (as I assume most who want at least a sliver of anonymity off the bat aren't), then localbitcoins.com is probably your best bet for the time being.
Try finding an exchanger in your area and then meet up craigslist-style to exchange currency face to face. I've had success in the past doing this although it isn't the most convenient thing..
