Title: How vendors manage their ratings and what we can do about it ...
Post by: incogmagnito on April 04, 2013, 01:05 am
In the last three weeks I have encountered two vendors that seem to play a dodgy game - when they know that they can not deliver my order they stop returning messages and kinda force me to cancel my order thus not getting any negative feedback from me.

These vendors are generalm3sS, who has already taken 10 days to not deliver my order from UK to UK and Deal Broker, an order with whom I had to cancel because I just could not wait any longer.

I suggest that the buyer has an opportunity to rate the vendor not only when they finalise their order, but also when they go for resolution or cancel. Since feedback can be revised later on should vendor rectify the issue the feedback can always be amended.

Are there any scenarios where this would be a bad idea?

What happens if you let the order go into resolution instead of cancelling it? Do you get the opportunity to rate then?

I think so ... There got to be a way for future buyers to know about the reason for the order to go into resolution.
Now vendor just manages to cancel the order they screwed up on and keep their rating intact.

I recently had my first order go to resolution and got a refund. I had the option to leave feedback.

Thank you for letting me know ... I guess since your order was finally "completed" by the way of refund you did have an option to leave feedback.
I had one order cancelled and therefore the vendor - Deal Broker - did not get any negative feedback. I think this is where it should be dealt with as the order had to be cancelled because he could not deal with GPG ... doh :)
