Hello all,
I've been lurking the forum and the site for a few months getting a feel for things before I joined. Now I'm ready to go make my first purchase. I sit here with an MP in hand and see - all of the BTC vendors that have been said time and again to be reliable are not accepting MP now. Does anybody have a recommendation? Should I just wait til Sugar Mama is back? WHAT TO DO
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Too get the absolute best price message RxKing, sent him a WU and he gives you btc equal too what you sent + WU fees. Money for BTC, no fee whatsoever.
Seeing as you have a MP well if you can get your money back from the MP. Look around on some vendors pages, alot of them offer WU, MP etc.. for BTC too help them cash out, be careful some charge outrageous prices
Thanks, RPMJunkie

I've had good experiences with both BTCPal and Pakupaku. They both charge 10% for most MP amounts, which is a better deal than the majority of MP exchangers on here. My recommendation is to not use any BTC vendor who has only a handful of reviews or who has no feedback anywhere in the forums. It's worth it to wait an extra day or two for a known vendor than to take a chance on some new person in the Money/Services section or, worse yet, some random person in the forums. That being said, BTCBuddy and BTCKing are both said to be very reputable, but they charge a bit more than the first two people I listed. RapidExchange also seems genuine and is very quick to respond to PMs. I'm sure he could get you coins quickly if you're willing to pay more like 15% as a transaction fee. Another possibility would be someone like SeeRicky--a vendor looking to unload some extra BTC. I have never used him for MP exchanges, but he was legitimate in other transactions I've done with him. His prices are very competitive. I'd try sending out a few PMs to get price quotes and go from there.
Good luck!

Yep btcpal was the best I could find the two times so far that I needed coins. Both $500+ 10% fee and gives actual mtgox price for that day. Awesome turn around time also.

btc buddy. Who else?
-
I always ask a vendor that I am dealing with. they have a lot more to lose with bad feedback and usually trade at the going rate
-
rapidexchange is the way to go imo

I used BTC Buddy for my first exchanger, but I have never had faster service than that of DrPVmd.

BTC Buddy did my MP - > BTC very quickly. I recommend him!

I highly recommend not using MP's but if you have to then use sugamomma

I used Sugar Mama just recently and things were smooth. It took longer than I would have imagined (36 hours give or take), but I could chalk this up due to the fact I hit her up with a higher value MP.... But from what I've gathered, 24-48 hours is relatively standard for these exchanges. Not great if you need something that is time-sensitive.
All in all though, I messaged her after 24 hours and she reassured me and gave me an ETA, which she honored. 5/5.
I just wish there were exchangers that had quicker service, since they are usually receiving a generous commission on the transaction.

pakupaku hooked it up. I want to stress that nobody should hesitate to do business with this guy. Good experience. Took about 6 hours on a Sunday.
