There has been a bunch of criticism about the cost of vendor accounts. I understand it is about $500 now.
I think you are trying to dissuade scammers with the high prices.
Here is my idea, which will make people very happy.
Keep the high price, but refund to the seller a certain amount for each positive feedback.
Now, if someone wanted to try and beat this method, I guess they could list a whole bunch of low priced crap, and buy it from themselves.
So, you would have to factor in a total sales and time on SR variable.
So, lets's say for each month on SR x a certain volume of sales, there is a refund.
This is pretty fair, cause your commissions are based on gross sales.
Please think about this. I'm already a vendor, so it doesnt affect me. I just thought it would be good for the community

why not have every new buyer put up a runner's deposit too? it can only help get people vested quicker.

Yea it sucks because I was really starting to invest time and money into becoming a new vendor and when the price went up, it really set me back. Nothing really I can do but pay the price and make it back through the site I guess. Should have bought the account and sat on it for a while. Oh well, I guess I didn't know that the price was going to double.
