Title: Buying bitcoins outside of TOR and using real name
Post by: my_fake_acct on April 12, 2012, 03:34 am
So I wasn't really thinking, and I bought bitcoin without going through TOR. I also sent it to my "real" email address, and sent the money order using my real name.

Is there any problems with doing this? Technically it's not illegal to buy bitcoins right?

I heard that Mt.gox flags account if using tor.  use a throwaway email  next time and you should be fine. Not a 100% sure though. Transfer your funds through bitcoinfog than to SR.

Ok, well i didn't use TOR so at least it isn't "flagged". I deposited right to my SR account... do they know it goes to SR? Or are the deposit addresses anonymous as well?
