Title: Trying to buy Bitcoins for 12 hours, Iam lost.
Post by: dirtymind901 on July 12, 2012, 06:27 pm
So. I might not be the brightest person but atleast Ive tried to sort it out myself...

Anyway for atleast 12 hours now Ive tried to find out the best way to buy Bitcoins, and even though I have no idea if these 2 sites are good Iam currently thinking of buying from either bitstamp.net or mtgox.com.

Starting with mtgox.com

I go to Add Funds and I get a few "Please Choose A Funding Method" options, and without choosing one you can scroll down and in the bottom it says: "Please visit https://www.aurumxchange.com/funding/mtgox for easy to follow instructions on how to fund your account. "So basically I have to visit another site to get bitcoins into my mtgox account??

At the "Please Choose A Funding Method" options, if I choose Europe Bank Transfer I dont get redericted to that other site, instead I have to verify my account through sending in a copy of my passport, something I dont really wanna do..

So my question is, if I do the first option, visit that other site and somehow buy coins or euros (dont know what i get from that site), do i then transfer it to my mtgox account? Does this mean I dont have to very with a passport? Why would the mtgox want me to visit another site it just sounds like a big hassle.. why not just do everything on mtgox.com...

It just seems to be SO MUCH I need to do to get the fucking bitcoins here to Silkroad..... First visit aurumxchange to do a bank transfer that will take 1 full day mor more, then transfer the money to mtgox somehow, where I buy bitcoins, which I somehow send to silkroad?? Is this correct?

Bitstamp seems to be easier, but is it a good site? I dunno...  Honestly I have no fucking clue what to do....

hi, i;m new at this also and i buy btc at bitstamp very easy very fast.

just make an account there, then you bank transfer the amount you like with the number that comes with your bitstamp account.

they automaticly put it in $, when you have the dollars you can  buy bitcoins. just put up the amount of dollars to spend or the amount of btc to buy

good luck

There is a new BTC Exchangers review thread (with moderator assistance) on the forums that might be useful to you:

Hey I'm used to this too. I bought some for the first time yesterday. I went to bitinstant.com/ mr.coin.com. I thought they fucked me out of my money but everything went through. It took about 18 hours for my coins to show up here but they came. After you buy them be patient cause it could day a whole day before they show up on your account the SR.

I made a EU bank transfer to Bitstamp. I saw that the money had left my bank account this morning, yet I have no money added to my Bitstamp account  :-\.

Is this normal? How long do I need to wait before the money I transfered gets added do my Bitstamp account?

As I always say Bitinstant to coinapult (Bitcoin to email) using a tormail.org account is always the way to go unless you want to try your hands at one of the moneypak exchangers here.
