As the title states I'd like a subforum that is accessible only by vendors so that we can discuss uh, important and secret vendor things.
Anybody in favour?
-
Just join the chat... sheesh. All this elitism around here lately.
HEY GUYS, LETS MAKE A ROOM JUST FOR LEO. WE'LL CALL IT VENDOR HONEYPOT.
-
I'm in favour. I think it's an awesome idea.
-
It's not about elitism, it's about having a luxury afforded to those who have invested the time, effort, and especially money into becoming a vendor on SR.
But in regards to chat, I've read conflicting things about what chat is used. Can you point me in the correct direction? I don't need step-by-step instructions, just a link to a thread would be much appreciated.

I think it's bad idea to have a place where a buyer couldn't see or represent their point of view on a bad transaction. I think it's a negative for sellers not to be as transparent as possible with buyers. There is enough tension naturally without adding more.

This is ESSENTIAL! Not only for the above reasons but:
It promotes a vendor community which can lead to international and domestic vendors working together to possibly bring Products to an area near you without you taking as large of a risk.
Also:
Vendors have very important things to discuss which we'd prefer to keep off of a public board.
Tumbling Bitcoins
Cleaning money for Legal Tender
Taxes?

I don't think that shit should be on any board here. All one cop has to do is buy a vendor pass and they have access as well. Kinda defeats the purpose. If you're trying to do a 1099 listing your drug deals on SR well....best of luck. You should have that one figured out already....:)
-
All the vendors talk behind the scenes anyway. Mostly about you and your annoying habits. Straighten up and get your act together. And come back with some btc next time.
-
im in favor of this, but it needs to be well eexecuted so only legit sellers can get in.
-
That's really funny: I woke up this morning bound and determined to see if we could set up a *buyer* only board, as I've been contacted a lot lately, about a vendor, and buyers don't want to post publicly for fear of, well, u know...different things...LOL... Weird...so I guess tit for tat: I'd be game for a seller's board if we could have a buyer's board... :)
As has been said, we can contact each other, and a private board could lead to all kinds of hard feelings. I've tried from the get-go to see the seller's point of view, and sellers have given me lots of slack when I've been less than perfect, and word gets out anyway....if you fuck up, you get talked about, people know...neither buyers nor sellers are saints, best I can tell...and all of us have financial and legal risks, and depend upon 'the other' to protect us.
I think anything secretive would lead to ill will on here...we don't want either side ganging up on the other, and I fear that a board that excludes one side or the other of the equation could do just that. So I'm opposed.

We dont want to make LEs work 2 ez now guys............
If there was a vendor only board the title should be
Vendor/LE only
because it would be half vendors and half LE who paid $150 to talk with drug dealers about how they could reap financial rewards by coordinating together lol
-
We need a place where we can discuss without the fear of LE or other wankers.
A vendor's forum with minimum requisites (i.e., vendors with more than 50 sales from 25 people) to enter.
It will allow for the vendors and silk road to work together and create value for the community.
-
I still don't like it...presumes, or at least gives the impression of presuming, that vendors somehow are 'special' and need to chat with SR without the unwashed buyers throwing in their obnoxious shit....if it were reversed, I think it would be obvious why it sucks...to us...
We're all in this together: take away the scammers and the dickheads, and we all have the same goal, and the same value to SR...I don't want anything of import being discussed without buyers giving their input...it affects us too much, and hard as this is to believe, sometimes we're right. Plus, it'd just be a bit insulting...
If I saw some post from SR saying "Me and the vendors have decided xxx", I'd probably bail. We need our interests represented the whole way...don't get me wrong, if I were a vendor, I could see where I'd *want* this, no doubt about it....but I'm not a vendor, and I call this idea wrong.
