Title: MushroomMagician looks awfully like a classic exit scam

All the tell-tale signs. First, he dropped all the prices by 50% and added a ton of new products overnight, all half price of course, and with bigger amounts for sale.

He changed his listings to worldwide.

He says you don't have to FE, but look at his shipping. If you don't select FE, he forces you to sign for your package.

Everything about the listings scream exit scam.

I would not FE for this vendor under any circumstance.

I haven't ordered from this vendor -- just replied to bump for visibility.

Good looking out. Hopefully everyone else uses some common sense and comes to the same conclusion you did.

one problem with silkroad is that a lot of young kids never had to deal with the street..  so they don't have a good working internal sketch meter..

+1 OP for helping some folks that can't help themselves

"Sketch meter" is an excellent term for this sort of thing. But if someone sees that they're required to sign for a package of illegal contents and doesn't immediately CTRL+W that tab, then they are too green yet for SR.

It just screams scam.  Just look at some of the quantities listed.  For his ounce listings, he supposedly has 58 ounces available when you add to cart...  Then his half pound listing has 19 available, so with just those two listings he has over 12.5 pounds of product?  I am a vendor, and I grow a lot, but never have this kind of quantity available, and it would be impossible to turn any profit at his price.  Those prices would not even cover labor and energy costs.  Something is awry.

30 a gram for "completely pure MDMA" and I have to sign for it?

No thanks homie. It's one of those too-good-to-be-true-because-it-probably-is things, methinks.

Oh HAAAYYLL NO.

I pay almost $20 a tablet for my MDMA,

But at least its good shit :)

If you want good drugs, you
can't be stingy

Also, never sign for a package unless its legal

I wouldn't order shit from MM anyways, his shrooms are fucking weak; I ate a  little over a quarter and didn't even really trip no visuals or anything fuck this guy I'm the one who left that 1/5 rating I mean why would I leave 5/5 if the shrooms were weak I even saw other people say the shrooms were weak but still left 5/5 why?

^^ I agree, only quality drugs should receive 5/5 rating..

Never been a fan of the idea of Social Darwinism, but SR seems to embody it sometimes.  Both buyers and sellers can approach a 100% likelihood of being burned through lack of caution.  Posts like this are exactly how such situations are avoided.  Then again, the occasional burn is how most of us learned not to touch the stove.

Here's an idea I think might have merit - what about the ability on the part of the buyer to signify that a given order was FE'd and, in turn, a stat kept about the vendor showing the percentage of FE's over time?  This stat alone (particularly a recent spike) could raise a red flag for many of us.  There could, of course, be a reasonable explanation - but, then again, the same could be said for a few troll reviews ruining traditional stats.  I don't need to point out why- or how- FE's are a bad idea (...as that's been covered) but they're a necessary evil in some circumstances.  Why can't it be tracked as such?

Yup, some people need to get burned by the stove more than once before they learn this lesson in life.

wow well said ^^ ...def agree with that anyone who is stupid enough to fall for that scam is a moron , and never ever will i sign for shit coming from SR , there are plenty of other vendors with better products than him and dont require any of the BS ....save yourself the money and time , dont waste it trying to get 50% off...pay full price for guaranteed product and delivery.

this is frightening. As a new member how can I tell which vendors have legitimate feedback and which are faked? especially with the alias hidden option for feedback.

its hard but here is some advice...check the forums, read the new discussion tab on the vendors page, see if things seem to good to be true go with your gut if it seems to good it usually is, but things to never do NEVER FE, that is one of your biggest safeguards to getting scammed, just dont do it ever i dont care if your new, there are vendors that will work with you, simply post that question and i promise someone will answer you on the forums, and dont get your coins from the road....just type in coin scams or scam reports and alot of coin vendors scamming as well...hope this helps you can never really tell who is legit and who is not, use caution at all times

yeah but what sucks is vendors have the right to sell their account to anyone they choose without sharing that information to the buyers so just cause he was a trust vendor one time doesnt mean he hasnt sold the account and some scumbag has his rep now....just saying and ppl are still FE'ing as we speak even with all the negative and fishy comments in his discussion page ppl are still going, to risky for me, hopefully you guys dont get screwed but dont count on it

Just went over to his QP listing and almost the entire comment section if filled up with FE's and copied and pasted duplicate posts.  I almost feel sorry for these poor marks.

I placed an escrow order; we'll see what happens.  The FE or signature is only for the large listing per MM, "We just have one listing that requires a signature and that is the quarter pound mushrooms listing. Everything else is no signature. Thanks"  I messaged him and it took only a couple minutes to get a reply so he's either doing his job, or counting his free money; here's to the former!

I guess he must have changed the listings up then, because earlier, you had to sign for all of his listings if you did not FE.  Also, he charges more for shipping than he actually should.  $10.00 for priority is a rip off, yet another reason why people might use the FE option.  He is getting extra money on the back end of the sell, just like people try to do on ebay.  I will not order from people like that as a matter of general principle.  Like I do not know what it cost to mail items or something.

I noticed that he has significantly changed his quantities as well after I called him out on it.

First time I ordered tabs, it was from Lucydrop.  Not when he was apparently a star, but right in the nick of time he did the exit scam.  All I had to do was check the forum, research for about five minutes, and I would have saved about a hundred bucks.  Now, I check Tessellated's threads every time I place an order just to make sure the universe didn't break.

If it looks, smells, and feels like a scam, just avoid the vendor.

In this case, i'll avoid this vendor.

I'm seeing FE for free shipping on these already ludicrously priced items.

If I shake my head any harder it'll fall off onto the floor.

That is what I was thinking also.  Just keep bumping this thread to keep unknowing people from loosing their coin.  And if anyone successfully gets their order from him since he discounted them, they need to post here or somewhere else on the forum...

I have never been in this situation before.

So do I just wait out the clock and on my order go to resolution and say scammer and get 100% refund since I'm in escrow?
Title: Re: MushroomMagician looks awfully like a classic exit scam

You will have to wait until the resolution center option opens up on your order, I am not really sure how many days that takes. I am sure it is on the forum somewhere.  As long as you are in escrow, you should get a 100% refund.

If I'm reading it correctly, it only says that is for large orders. It is implied that small orders require no FE or signature.

On the other hand, if it is a scam. They usually let the first few people get the product to spread the word so now is the time to go lol!

So many  screaming NO FE.  But does anybody realize you almost cannot buy at all, until you have stats.  Can't get stats without vendors stopping demanding FE.  We go through all the set up work, vetting, reading, reading, F-ing getting BC in our account.  Then when it is due to be shipped the pn comes "FE now I send"  it's bullshit blackmailing, trap you in a box way to get you to FE.  The the road says "oh, you FE-ed.  No nothing from us, dummy.  KetamineOcean got quite a few of us that way.  The Road is duplicitous.  Openly allowing for FE and subsequent scams, mostly on "newbbies" who have little choice if they wanna play ball,  then saying "We out, dummy".  We know our position  we need non-judge-mental guidance.  And support from the road in the form of contingency,  you demand FE-warning, do it 2 x more times 2 month suspension for Vending Rites.  Getting worse too.

It looks like I might have been scammed.  How do we resolve this?  I am sort of a noob and fell to his FE trick TWICE!  I thought these deals would run out soon and he had good reviews when I ordered, so I placed 2 orders.  I feel stupid, but how do we fix this?  Is all my money for sure gone now?  I thought the Silk Road doesnt let people scam.  God I am upset.
