Title: Yes... Another bitcoin question
Post by: spunky on July 23, 2013, 12:00 am
Has anyone used "bitcoinbycc?"  Says you can do a MoneyGram transfer, but than it states that "you will be asked a test question to answer."  How would you know what to answer?  Is this weird?

As stated:

"Please go to a moneygram location and send the amount under “total” to the following person.
Name:  XXX
City: XXX
State:  XXX
You will be asked for a test question and answer. You may choose any combination of the two.
Use this information to fill out the form to the right, please make sure it is correct."

Never heard of it. I know some guys and gals on localbitcoins.com accept moneygram, western union, bank wire transfer (ACH), dwolla, moneypak, etc.

However, an organization that offers that over the 'net rather than face-to-face actually makes me slightly suspicious.

could be a scam. some countries don't require proof of id when accepting wu/mg transfers. a question and answer is used instead. lots of scammers take advantage of this and never get caught

Thank you all for the advice!  Thought it sounded a little odd...
