I was thinking about doing the following:
1. Using Virtualbox on Windows to create a virtual machine running Windows Black Edition.
2. Using virtualbox in Windows Black Edition, creating a virtual machine that runs Tails.
3. Have the entire package of virtual machines saved to a microdisk(USB)
4. The thought it that I could pop in the USB into my home PC, load them all up. If traveling, I could pop the USB into my Mac, and load them up, since Virtual box is supported on both platforms.
5. Have mac spoofing on both virtual machines.
Am I just getting obsessive/compulsive with this?
Here is my need: I need to create an environment I can load up (or reboot to) on both PCs and macs. Preferably on a microSD. I'm still looking to see if there are any programs with cross-platform crypt support. I'd like the Microsd to be encrypted, and decryptable by both the mac and pc.
The only requirement would be for the host computer to have virtual box so I could load up the all-in-one VDi file.
I think I am missing something here or confusing myself. Would this work, is it even needed?
If yes, then on which machine do i install and manage my "dirty" bitcoins? The xp black edition or tails?
Anyone with advice who has previous experience is appreciated.

You can just use this program encrypted on a USB stick
http://bitcoinarmory.com/
Or use strongcoin.com, and backup all your private bitcoin keys to a text file that's in a Truecrypt container should something happen. Can sign into strongcoin using Tor, make multiple accounts with throwaway email addresses
I couldn't get Tails to work in a VM, when it shuts down memory erase didn't work. Mac's are primarily FreeBSD based using a XNU kernel.. so any BSD version will probably work on them, though I've never tried.
