Title: See if vendor is currently online
Post by: jimbob966 on December 31, 2011, 03:14 am
I think a great feature would be the ability to tell whether the vendor is currently online or not. I understand that there is something that says whether the vendor has logged in today or not. This would help people by letting them know if they could expect an answer to their PM in a short time. This would also allow buyers to place orders at the time their seller is online to speed up processing. It would save people a lot of logging in and checking their messages. Maye, even make it more secure being that there's less connections being made.

* :)Let me know what you guys think :)*

P.S. Some vendors do already have this option available on their page. It helps.

Couldn't this also be beneficial to LE also in some way? Maybe just make the "last seen" to X hours ago or less than an hour ago

I guess it could. Maybe that way would be better. Instead of last seen today have it last seen x hours ago like you said. It'd just save me a lot of F5's (refreshes).

This would be some what useful to law enforcement. They could use it to guess time zones to get a crude sense of location. It would also provide further evidence if they had computer logs or something else. I'm sure other correlation would be possible too.

I don't think we really need this but it might be useful.

I agree with the other posters. This type of feature would be to valuable to LE to implement.
