In an attempt to send (a lot of) BTC to my SR Account, I made the terrible mistake of sending the BTC to the ID that was previously associated with the account. (The account ID was changed weeks earlier, but I did not realize that my bitcoin client did not reflect the change until after the transaction had been pushed through.) Now the transaction is getting confirmations and I'm watching a good bit of money go right out the door. Is there any way SR can step in to help with this situation seeing as how it is a BTC ID that was already associated with my account, or does SR not have control of the BTC ID's that it issues to users?
I am in turmoil right now as I will be in a really bad spot with a few people if I can't get this fixed. I'm hoping that a SR Admin can step in and help me in this situation, but at this point I fear for the worst. At best I can stall for a short time, but with the nature of Bitcoins I have a terrible feeling that this matter could go unresolved. I'm completely lost for words with my pure stupidity and lack of assurance of such critical details.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help.

Im pretty sure you're screwed. All I can say is next time be sure the address is correct. Double, no triple, fuck it quadruple check it before hitting send from here on out.

your prior BTC addresses are forever linked to your account if this is what you are refering to.
great for things like this, awful for many more reasons... but atleast you should be ok, hopefully.

This should be a lesson to all, in this case it was ok but not all sites keep track of ids the same way, always ALWAYS triple check your address, it doesn't take much longer and its worth it :P
