Title: Certain products listed as unavailable when they shouldn't be?
Post by: drbrule on July 12, 2012, 05:07 am
Are vendors able to block specific people from buying, or even viewing particular items? I ask because a very reliable respected vendor, who ships in only a day or two tops, is still getting feedback on an item that disappeared 3-4 days ago. When I go to the page of the product from his profile page where all feedback for all products is, it says it's no longer available, yet it seems like it should be. People are leaving feedback today saying it arrived in 24 hours, etc., are just late at verifying even though it doesn't seem that way?

Also, same vendor, ALL of his other products are suddenly no longer listed in any category when browsing. I know for a fact that they're still available since they're available on his page, and also because I just ordered and received AFTER all of this happened. But they're nowhere to be found anywhere else unless you know his profile.

So what gives? Are vendors able to block specific individuals from certain products all together (no idea why he'd do that to me)? And are they able to remove their products from being available for viewing when browsing categories, or are these just glitches? I'm missing out on something good from this guy and on who knows what else from vendors I might not even know exist.

it sounds like he made his listings "stealth," which means they are only available via a direct link, they don't show up in the search, and if you don't have the link you won't see the listing.

Ah, I see, I figured there must be some feature like that, just seemed odd that it happened out of nowhere. Thanks.
