Title: USPS international shipping
Post by: GaltRR on April 19, 2012, 10:46 pm
I have had some interest in my products outside of the USA, so I had a couple questions about international shipping if any other vendors could help.

1) Can I use a regular flat rate priority box with $16.95 +DCN(.85?) in stamps

2) Can it be dropped off in the blue bins like domestic mail?

No, you need identification for flat rate packages weighing over 13oz.

Anything that weighs over 13oz must be brought in and you must use custom forms. Basically, if it doesn't fit in a bubble mailer and/or weighs over 13 oz you can't ship it without being on a bunch of cameras.

Some questions for USA vendors, thank you in advance :)

can you just set up an account using fake details and pay for the postage costs using a none personal prepaid gift card? or does it have to be a personal prepaid debit card?

basically what i need to know is a couple of ways to set up and use these online accounts anonymously, they will be needed for both domestic and international postage. International is the important thing just now.

any input would be great

Yes you can use a none personal prepaid card and if it isn't obvious, I would setup the fake account or rather just do everything using a vpn that doesn't log information (proxies love helping LE when possible) or use a public wifi connection. Also yes you can complete the custom forms online but you would still have to go to the counter since you can't use the drop bins, in my opinion, that's too much of a risk.

This is a good place to start when searching for one, a private vpn would be best or even your own, it's even better when you pair it up with tor.
