BitCoin isnt with just two decimals.. it has 8 decimals!
1 BTC isnt 1.00, its 1.00000000 ...
So, please show the full amount in the account page - it like that the amount showed in the top is with two decimals, and that prices are that as well. But the account page should show the ACTUAL amount.
Or are you taking everything from the 3rd decimal and keeping it for yourself? I guess youre not doing that, so there's no reason why you should show the full amount.
Thanks!

All transactions on the site occur have a resolution of 0.01 btc minimum, so common sense (or my maths A Level) should be telling you that there is no chance that you will ever be in the situation of having a transaction with a resolution of less than 0.01 btc in your account, unless you have sent something with a resolution of less than this (12.005 BTC), which is stupid because of the first point. Anything transaction with a resolution less than 0.01 btc is rounded up...

Thats kinda my point.. why limit the wallet to x.xx BTC, when the BTC itself is x.xxxxxxxx ?
I think its fine that you can only pay in x.xx, but the wallet should reflect the correct amount.

Because x.xxx is never used, only x.xx is. It's fine how it is, obviously it would be nice, but the current system works. What do you gain out of having this extra resolution, and is it worth the hassle for the SR developers to develop? And what if all of the other transactions and wallets are stored as x.xx in the database and had to be changed to a lower resolution?

I vote that we don't show fractional amounts as then Silk Road cannot steal fractional amounts in a bid to take over the world.

Well SR does recognize more than 2 decimal places but just isn't showing. I have (according to SR) 1.11 BTC in my account but if I try to withdraw it says that I don't have enough BTC.

Maybe SR is trying to succeed where Richard Pryor in Superman III failed. *g*

Like christopher said, the minimum transaction resolution is 0.0x BTC. What's the point of showing all those extra decimal places if they're always going to display as zeroes?
-
Well, the only reason that it happened to me is because I didn't realize (when I made my first transfers in) that they only dealt with two decimals. Got it back though, just had to go back and withdraw everything less than 2 decimals.
Edit: I hope they do enable smaller resolutions though. If BTC value keeps going up it allows for better pricing.
