As per title. It'd save a lot of confusion.
After 45 minutes of searching I still have no idea how much SR charges vendors per order placed.
-
Seller Fees are as follows
$150 to set up the seller account then the following % table applies.
10% of the first $50
8.5% of $50 - 150
6% of $150 - 300
3% of $300 - 500
2% of $500 - 1000
1.5% for everything over $1000"
It is hard to file but if we post it around enough then it will show up in the search more easily.

Is that fee per item or for the account in general? As in, lower fees once you've hit 1K?
-
My understanding is that is per item sold.
I am by no means an expert here, I am just a vendor. But that is what was posted by DPR as to the fees chart.
-
It's per item sold.

Their way too high imo, you should just have to pay for the vendors account (even charge more than it is already and have to renew every year or something) and leave it at that,
10% off every 50quid deal is ridiculous and unjustifiable.
Theres nothing ethical or decent about any of those fee's under 300 dollars.

The fee is thus;
10% on the first $50 of price($5)
8.5% on $50 - 150(Up to $8.5+previous)
6% on $150 - 300(Up to $9+previous)
3% on $300 - 500(Up to $6+previous)
2% on $500 - 1000(Up to $10+previous)
1.5% for everything over $1000

This are the fees for the total order amount, right. Not per listing inside an order. (What's an item in silkroad, an item is a listing, but a listing can also be of three items. If it makes that much difference, it pays to put seperate items/listings together into one combined, charge a lump sum for a much lower ratio than executing the orders and have items each go through these rates)
Quite frankly i have been taking 10% as a vendors fee on the total amount, I think all in all paypal asks 8%, but they offer insurance etc.
Basically the incentive here is to have people order in the range of 300-a few thousand. Facilitating this kind of business, which is B2B, while i see SR more as a B2C operation, is something that perhaps this fees schedule intentions undoubtedly are, but which is not the size of the business this market is should favour that much over others.

so its only $150 to set up a sellers account? why is the price $500 being thrown around a lot on the forum? ive read more than one vendor claim that they had to pay $500 to open a sellers account.
This is old. The new seller account charges $500.
still wondering if thats the current fee chart though?

I agree with this BUT now the vendor fee is refunded FULLY, so there is technically no fee to become a vendor because you get it back after you establish yourself.
Plus SR is a monopoly in this market, and it also provides resolution service and who knows how much it costs to keep it all safe.
So while I agree its a lot of money, they could be charging more and I think it would be still just as popular.
