Title: Inconsistency with opiods on SR
Post by: one2bcurious on June 20, 2013, 04:42 am
SR would consolidate the Prescription -> Pain Relief and Opiods -> Prescription sections.  It kinda makes it a pain to go through them all.

On top of that, it seems that buyers and sellers arent aware of the pain killing values of opioids.  They are all in the same family of drugs and have varying strengths compared to each other but the prices of the pills dont coincide with the strengths.  Sellers are charging way more because something is stronger but the amount they are charging is far more than the difference in strength.

If you are an opioid purchaser, use this conversion calculator to figure it up.  I go through them all and calculate the strength compared to 10mg of hydrocodone which is kinda my baseline that I know well and then purchase the item that gives me the cheapest per 10mg of hydrocodone.  It is ridiculous what some of the pills cost when people could just be buying more of a lower strength version that will offer the same effects for less money while just taking more.

For example, oxycodone is 1.5x stronger than hydrocodone and oxymorphone is 3x stronger and hydromorphone is 4x stronger.

Oxymorphone is stronger than hydromorphone.  However, the bio-availability of the product can be lower depending on how you ingest the drug.

I can't stand hydrocodone. It makes me sick....oxycodone is where it's at.
