Title: Review: asdf345 sticky weed
Post by: asdf345 on March 26, 2012, 11:40 am
Hi! I'm asdf and I'm new here :) I have started this thread for anyone who's bought weed from me.

All feedback welcome and taken on board :)

This current lot [26/3] IMHO is pretty strong, compressed, dark and stinky. A 1/4 ounce looks like a half a small girls fist. However, it chops out well, smokes smoothly, and gets you nicely baked. I'm told it's a 50/50 indica/sativa blend, but i'm not 100% on the strain.

Anyway that's my opinion, let me know yours!

Prices are quite expensive.

Will wait for the reviews before making a purchase.

Here is my review..

Purchase and received in 3 days via std Post which was awesome. And the weed was very nice. Good high, and exactly what i look for... and had munchies as well... So if you want reliable weed... you cannot go wrong here...

To asdf345: dude, you might need to rethink you packaging methods. Just vacuum seal a small sappy with the goods. No need for 3 zip locks and a huge vacuum seal around it. Small n discrete is best..

But all in all.. buy with confidence people... although a little bit too high priced currently..  :-\

haha, yea I know, I did that at first to a few, then I realised one baggy + vac pack was enough :) I now use one baggy so that nothing get's sucked out of the back when I seal it inside the vac pack.

I understand where you are coming from. Over the next month I’ll be looking at a number of different ways to bring the price down. I’m going to try and reduce my costs by:

•   using smaller packs [and maybe just one envelope],
•   use less packing materials
•   going less frequently to the post office etc but I’m not sure how much that will save me in petrol, but it’s a decent 20km round trip. A few of those each day can add up.
•   Weighing stuff closer to “weight” rather than adding .2+ or so extra. .2 extra on 20x 1g bags can add up!

I have the “your prices are high” conversation with my dealer frequently. I know HIS margins aren’t thin! He usually first quotes Ted Coiné’s 8th irrefutable laws of business heresy which is

8. Don’t compete on price, just… don’t
http://12most.com/2011/08/03/12-irrefutable-laws-business-heresy/

Then he tells it to me like this:

A business can compete in quality, service or price. Perhaps two, but not all three. I'm competing in quality and service. Quality in the speed of my service, the reliability of the product with regard to potency and weight, my customer service, and how discreet and appropriate my packing method is. I’m competing on how consistently I excel at those things. I’ll let my competitors compete on price. I’ll compete on quality, at a fair price. Time will tell whether the market thinks it’s a fair price. I’m not so arrogant to suggest my prices will never come down, but at the moment my margin is thin. If I cannot move product at a price that makes me profit, I may not be able to continue in this business.

So, I know that probably doesn’t make you any happier and  I wish I could just slash the price to real life street prices, however I have overheads and  pay a fairly high price for this stuff IRL. It's the best I can do at the moment. There are several other cheaper options on SR I would look to if price is a concern.

Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate the honesty. Keep the feedback coming! Some more packages have to be arriving by now :)

I'm always one for quality of quantity/price. I'm more then willing to pay more for weed that is top notch, after I receive your sample I'll be sure to review it for quality, I'm not that concerned about packaging as long as it's odorless and discrete but i can't imagine somebody attempting to sell on SR without thinking that.

Got my G from asdf today, packaging was probably overkill. As soon as I'd cut through the vacuum seal I was immediately hit by one of my favorite smells, even through 3 plastic baggies. This is some really nice bud! THANKS MAN!

I've got the product and waited a bit for others to come up with review first.

Delivery took 2 nights to Sydney-West and I consider it quick.
Packaging is a bit paranoiac, I would suggest to use compact packaging to resemble an ordinary letter as I expect letters are the most common, but I have no clue how do they check and control the post. Also packaging underlines the professionalism of the vendor.
Communication is great, and profile is fixed, I mean the more info and more "personal)" the profile is - the better.
The content, smell, visual appearance, potence and taste comply with the highest norms IMHO. Product fits the description given by vendor.
Price could be lower, as usual I guess

Ordered a couple of grams at the discounted sample price,
delivered in 2 days,
packaging was fine.
Nice smoke, average quality hydro at least. def a hybrid.
If you don't mind the price, give this guy a shot.

new stock in today, more of the same strain :)

If it moves quick you'll see my listings disappear again for a few days, this stuff is pretty popular so i'm having a hard time keeping continually stocked. It takes me about 3-4 days to restock, so keep an eye out if there is no listing when you check.

Prompt delivery and a nice strong smoke!

Packaging was OK (but could maybe look a little more professional/business like).

Glad to hear!

I've seen a few other sellers flatten out the bud and stick it between the pages of a tax return form, imho they need to smoke less weed. I think if your package gets to the point where it is being opened, I'm doubtful whether anything would protect it from discovery. I'm working on a few other stealth methods should a package ever get intercepted, however at the moment I've got a 100% success rate on delivery :)  Thanks for the feedback!

First of I was quite pleased to see there was no flattening of the bud at all, which is quite rare at least in my experience on SR. The packaging was adequate at least for domestic posting. You can kinda feel the shape of the bud before you open the package, maybe a few sheets of paper or card on either side would fix that without the need for squashing it.

As for the high, it took me by surprise. asdf345 is pretty spot on when it comes to describing his product. It's some of the most potent stuff I think I've ever received from an Australian vendor. I took a couple hits and found myself almost incapable of contemplating taking another puff for a good half hour. And even after that I found that I had to smoke very little to find a desirable level of effects. It took me back to my first times smoking in terms of how high I was. The blend between indica and sativa provided a nice balance where I didn't feel too sedated yet the head high was quite something. Having said that it still was enough to knock me out at the end of the night without the need for any other sleeping aids that I usually take. The smell is quite interesting, there's a lot of that citrus kind of smell but there are also a few other flavors in there that I find hard to recognize.

All in all I was very satisfied with what I received. It went above my expectations in almost every way. It almost makes me content to pay the high price. I wouldn't mind paying the same for more now, although if it ever were to decrease in price I'd jump on ordering again real fast.

Ordered a g of your sample stuff back when it was like 1BTC. Twas indeed some nice stuff, better then the other stuff I've ordered domestically.

But still, ordering green through SR does seem to be more expensive then just going to a local source, so I'll only do it when there's a sale or someone new is trying to get some rep are prices are on the cheap.

Packaging was overkill. Wrapped up more than most OS orders I've made, haha. Still better to be safe than sorry. It would be nice if you cut back on the overpackaging and were able to offer the buds for cheaper though.

All in all. Very satisfied. Keep up the good work!

that is a brilliantly simple idea, i will do that from now on! Thanks for the super detailed review - I think I know more about my own weed now!

Yea i've done some math, I just can't really do it any cheaper and still make a decen't profit. I'm paying 360 an O in real life for this stuff + packaging + a vac bags + postage :( The guys down the street just don't have those costs I guess.

haha yea you must have got one of my first attempts, I think i've got it down pat now - well especially once I add some cardboard in to obscure the shape inside.

All in all. Very satisfied. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I hope to be around a while :)

Received my package a few weeks ago but can confirm the weed is exactly as described. Also an easy seller to deal with and great packaging!

Hey Mate,

Got it within 3 days.
Packaging is over the top.
Usually you just vacuum seal the weed and maybe seal that bag again inside another.
But then you just put that between 5-10 sheets of paper and in a normal envelope.
You dont need to double envelope and use padded envelope.

Am yet to try the weed :)

It's actually easier for me to double envelope than to stay stocked up on reems of paper/cardboard. Out of 112 transactions, aside from one package going missing due to an incorrect delivery address, I have a 100% success rate with delivery. So I figure I'll stick with my current method, it really only takes me a minute to pack em up. Messing about with cardboard and paper which I tried can often push the envelope beyond the 20mm limit and I got nervous that packages might get rejected and sent back to the fake addresses I use for return senders.

i haven't ordered from asdf (yet), but was interested in his feedback.

i've just shit a brick at the notion of paying $360 an ounce... only since coming to SR a couple of months ago and seeing the prices, and subsequently seeing posts like asdfs, have i truly realised what a good deal i was getting from the last 'street dealer' i had that was doing Oz's for $300...

i can't even imagine bothering to resell if i was paying that much - props to asdf for sharing his/her availability thought.

I've got another guy I can get o's for 290 from, but his weed is nowhere near the quality of the stuff I usually buy. The margins are about the same for me, because i'd have to sell the less potent stuff for less btc, but I just can't be bothered dealing with people commenting on it's lack of potency. The stuff I sell blow's everyone away, so I figure I'll just stick with that stuff.

I have no idea how the other weed sellers on SR can afford to sell half o's for 140AUD approx - i'm assuming they're growing.
