Title: SR on orweb for android
Post by: anonsora on May 24, 2012, 12:47 am
Recently since last week I've been unable to access SR through my phone, when I try to log on it would just direct me to a blank page with the address bar ending in silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/hidden/login or something close to that. Anyone having any issues as well?

what version of Android are you using? I have had different issues with different versions. At this point I always go the the "check tor" page first to make sure I am actually on tor, and have found orbot workarounds for different version of the os. Also, is your phone rooted?

I'm not accessing SR via a phone but I experienced the same thing about three days ago.  If I recall correctly I cleared the browser cache, closed then reopened the browser, closed the circuit Tor had been using and was then able to access the normal login page.  That could have been simply a coincidence but you might give it a try, if possible.

Yes my phone is rooted and I am running on 2.2 I believe. I can access the login page as well, but I just can't really seem to log on into my account at all so it directs me to SR's home page.

if you are rooted and have orbot set to TOR all data when it is on, try using firefox mobile with privacy mode plugin, clear data plugin, and clear history plugin. Dolphin may also work better, too, but you have to be careful about clearing history, etc. Not sure if there is a dolphin available for 2.2. I had tons of problems like that with Orweb, finally gave it up except for emergencies like when I had to switch to an old phone. But if you use a different browser, be very, very careful to clear all your history, cookies, cache, form data, etc., at the end of each session. Keep in mind I am no expert, someone may come along who knows more than I do. If so, listen to them!
