Title: LE BTC Vendor - irrational paranoia or legitimate threat/concern
Post by: FredWilliamson on June 30, 2012, 10:52 am
Would LE legally and/or practically be able to operate a BTC vendor account?  if yes, would they be able to use such an account to gather useful info on buyers they supplied with coin or vendors they bought coin from? Getting scammed aside is there any legitimate reason to be weary of btc vendors, especially new BTC vendors with service and rates that seem too good to be true?

Have been using Sugar Mama for awhile and I trust her. However the idea of LE BTC exchangers scares me and I don't know enough  figure out if I am just being irrationally paranoid or is it this a legitimate threat/concern?

of course LE doing BTC exchange services makes perfect sense.. are they? who knows. if they are im guessing they would be more interested in tracking SR coins or vendors, but who really knows. BTC->USD is probably the hardest aspect to get done safely and securely without trace, i'd never trust a SR vendor for such services.
