From what I saw, InstaWallet perceives no tax. I'm surprised to see that the BitCoin Wallet QT application perceives a tax for each transfer. It's true that the tax is extremely modest, but still, I find it a bit strange (considering that InstaWallet charges nothing).
Note: I have no problem with this per-se. Actually, I am quite happy with supporting the BitCoin infrastructure. For example BitCoin Fog has a 3% tax and I'm perfectly fine with that considering the advantage they give me.
