Hi All,
I read on TSR wiki that sometimes the postal service will not deliver unless the name on the package is somebody who resides at the address. Just wondering if this is the case for AUS. At the moment my domestic orders I have been using my real name but there are some things which that are only sold by overseas vendors that I would like to sample. I'm only looking at very small quantities (personal use) but don't want to risk customs having a flag on my real name. Just have a few questions
1) Does this apply in Australia? (I get all sorts of incorrect letters posted here, even after 5 years so I can't see how this would happen)
2) Maybe only international orders require the parcel to be addressed to the actual name of the resident. If I put a completely bogus name, i.e. John Smith, not just a typo of my real name will an overseas order still come through?
Like I said I'm content at the moment with domestic stuff and price isn't an issue, there's just some cool things available in the US and EU that I would like to sample but don't want a flag against my name.

Use any name, it does not matter (unless its something stupid like K Rudd). We are not in the US, I get mail at my house for at least 4 old residents constantly + some other random shit. Unless you have to sign for it, there is no issue.

Thanks mate :D
do you know if this applies to international orders too?

Yep same for International, so knock yourself out!

lol.. A few years back in another scene I once put my dog's name on an envelope and it still arrived - no questions asked. I've also left the "NAME" off altogether, just the address and it arrived too.
They may be a little more fussy these days especially in the capital cities but it seems down here in Oz the "NAME" doesn't matter nearly as much as the "ADDRESS".

i use my real name, i want my SR packages to look exactly like all other mail coming to me.
the thing to remember is even if you do get a horrible knock at the door "there was what in an envelope addressed to me?! i dont know what to tell you officer, maybe someones been checking my mailbox at 6am every morning but i dont know anything about that. this sounds serious, i feel like maybe i should talk to a lawyer, am i under arrest? then i dont want to answer any more questions" please note i am NOT a lawyer, this is just my plan
so long as you dont crack and give the case to them its not worth their time to start a full investigation unless your ordering big big amounts
