I have been very worried about transferring my Ukash straight to Bitcoin with a Silk Road vendor. Very cautiously I've researched almost every vendor over the past few days and eventually settled on AmsterdamShop (http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php/silkroad/user/72125).
Just five minutes ago I transferred four £50 Ukash vouchers one at a time straight to Bitcoin at a brilliant rate. What I was really worried about was so simple! And I got the Bitcoins in under five minutes each time.
I saw a thread a few days ago asking about the legitimacy of AmsterdamShop, I can say first hand that I am very pleased with AmsterdamShop's service as it makes the process of getting Bitcoins anonymously so much easier.
100% perfect transaction, it's really rebooted my confidence about Silk Road. I'd definitely recommend AmsterdamShop to anyone. :)

I agree totally with the above poster's statement.
I have recently signed up to SR and AmsterdamShop has guided me through the process of securing Bitcoins and everything else in between. During the week I sent AmsterdamShop several PM's regarding ordering and obtaining bitcoins to finally make my first order. Each PM was answered swiftly and politely which gave me the confidence that I could trust this vendor.
Today I sent €75 Ukash voucher to AmsterdamShop and within an hour I had my account credited in Bitcoins. AmsterdamShop is a vendor that can be trusted 100%
Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to make my first order, some of AmsterdamShop Super Silver Haze.
Peace and Love

I totally agree too with the above statements. As a newcomer from the EU i was both eager and cautious to anonymously exchange ukash for bitcoins with someone from SR and for me AmsterdamShop has been the man! he offers great communication and great service, it took only a couple minutes to receive the btc on my account!
i warmly recommend him and wish him all the best!
cheers

I am new here also and I recommend Amsterdamshop totally!! I used him twice already and very positive experience both times (got my bitcoins within 24 hours first time and and about 15 hours next, I think if you catch him at right time he would do it instantly). His commission is fair and worth the extra for not having to use mtgox. In my opinion the best option to get bitcoins if you are in UK and can get Ukash (pretty simple ;)). Good job Amsterdamshop!! :D

After reading about 20 hours over the course of two weeks (correct me if thats a bit too much, or not enough reading) but the safest methods of security i have found after reading security reports that range from the totally paranoid / ubergeeky / seriously slick methods but totally confusing to the average internet user; through to people who simply dont give a toss. these are a few things that i think can be taken onboard for safer usage,to avoid using UKash and other methods of obtaining bitcoin.
Use http://duckduckgo.com for your searches. its annonymous, doesnt track or 'bubble' people
Get a tormail address. http://jhiwjjlqpyawmpjx.onion
get your head around PGP.its your friend and serves us all well. http://gnupg.org/
never mix clearweb (standard browsing) and Tor browsing, never run the programs simultaneously.
never mention tor activities on the clearweb.nothings ever deleted. and things can always be traced.
disable all your add ons for your internet & tor browser.
click your vileda control panel icon, see the thing button that says 'use a new identity,' press this a few times during your tor session if you ever have a paranoid moment. =]
sign upto http://intersango.com through TOR. and only ever access your account through TOR,many other Bitcoin companies, like Mt.GOX dont let you do this.
have two Intersango accounts, one for Bitcoin purchases and RW/Seperate account transfers. the other for RW transfers.
change your silk road bitcoin wallet/intersango account frequently and/or have two SR buying accounts, purely to do as much bitcoin wallet address mixing as possible. if SR was ever corrupted, the more layers of the onion to peel back, the harder it will be to trace, track and definitively pin things on people.
MAKE A FEW RW Bitcoin transactions/donations! wikileaks accepts them, aswell as do a few other 'charitable' causes. 0.02 bitcoins ain't gonna hit your wallet hard and will make it harder for LE to DEFINITIVELY prove you used your bitcoins for illicit purposes if your EVER questioned. when you have some legitimate donations amongst SR transfers, how can they prove you truly knew where your bitcoin 'donations' were going?! :D
some people say use bitfog, but im a bit skeptical with this many layers of mishmashing,
I browse and purchase in confidence, using different methods whenever i can, some are more time consuming than others. i can say at first i was a bit tempted with the UKash and moneypack offers but after all the reading in the forums and elsewhere,i realized that you can never tell whether they're a scam and the routes and opportunities SR, bitcoin and TOR give us for mixing up accounts, locations and wallets give me enough comfort to purchase securely on SR in this way without having to waste coins on dubious money transferers.
Big up the SR community from a new user.much love.

I made a 50£ UKASH to BTC transaction with Amsterdamshop just last week. The coins came through within 24 hours. I will use him again as his rates are reasonable.

Sent him an voucher Thursday and he hasnt been online since which I think is rotten luck really. There is enough positive stuff said about him to make me feel comfortable that he possesses my code ;)
