Is there any reason to post your public key, as a buyer? Vendors would probably use their own key to encrypt any correspondence anyway. I was thinking of posting my key somewhere, but I'm having a hard time believing it's necessary.
If I should post it, where should I post it? There is no place at SR to add it to my profile or anything and it would be straight up obnoxious to add to my sig here.
Wut do?

if a seller used their key to encrypt a message to you, YOU would never be able to decrypt it.
You can post your key here

or just PM it to the sellers you are dealing with

If they used their public key you can decrypt it, but they can't, even though it's their key. It's kinda fucked, but that's how it works. It would be more convenient for them to do that in some cases.
Thanks for the link.

well, you use their public key to message them. they use their private key to decrypt message. they use your public key to encrypt messages to you and you use your private key to decrypt it.
