So I am about to make a purchase with a new vendor, and I just wanted to ask something to make sure that they aren't a scammer.
Their profile page shows that they have been a member for a month now, have made 8 transactions, and that they have 4 fans. They also have 100% positive reviews. This all seems pretty good, but the only thing that bugs me is the reviews themselves. There are 12 of them (I know that some people could have bought more than one thing at a time), but 10 of them were made in a period of about 4 days, and on each day they were spaced apart by around an hour or two each. Call me paranoid, but it seemed very unlikely that for a new vendor they would make that many sales that quickly, all of which would be received at similar times for places throughout the world.
Even if they are faked reviews, should I go ahead with the purchase? Does anyone else find this slightly suspect? I'm still a new buyer by most definitions - I've had three purchases in total over a period of around 4 months so I'm not very experienced with this sort of thing.
Cheers.

don't finalize early. new vendors can't even ask for FE so if they do report them. if you don't FE it should all be good - if they don't come through with the goods you're safe
-
He's asking for FE for those with five or fewer purchases - so I should report him?

i think you need 30 successful transactions to be allowed to ask for FE, so tell him that and point him towards the sellers guide first. then if he still insists PM SR Support, there's a link at the bottom right of the SR site.
its 35 transactions, from the buyers guide on SR:
"NOTICE: If you are a new vendor, you may not ask your customers to finalize their orders and release payment to you before you ship, a practice known as "finalizing early". If you do this, you will lose your selling priviledges. Once you have completed 35 successful transactions and have been a seller for at least one month, you may ask your customers to finalize early without reprocussion. In no way do we support finalizing early in general and this rule should not be construed as support for finalizing early for more established vendors. "

he might cancel your order and only accept them from 'established' buyers, but at least you won't be susceptible to being ripped off. there are sellers that don't require n00bs to FE. what are you looking for?

Well I was looking for shrooms - there are a couple of listings to choose from but this guy was the cheapest. I sent him a PM and if he refuses to change his policy then I'll contact SR support.

It's cool now, he replied and said he's changing his policy.
