Title: Buy & Sell BTC instant;y in the UK! (no scam, spent month in juvie proving so)
Post by: BitcoinsUK on February 22, 2013, 07:54 am
Vendors are finally starting to publicly support me, so I thought I'd come edit this post :)

------------------

Welcome to BitcoinsUK.

BUK 3.0 - A MASSSIVELY SIMPLIFIED SERVICE!

[ Buying and selling bitcoins ]

You can purchase bitcoins either through the post or via online bank transfer
Bank transfers are completely safe - selling bitcoins is perfectly legal and even if it wasn't they're not gonna go through all my different bank details to find ppl buying something from me that is legal!

YOU MUST BE A MEMBER FOR AT LEAST 2 MONTHS AND SPENT $200 TO USE MY SERVICE!

New Customers, regardless of stats (minimum 2 months membership):

To purchase through the post, coins will NOT BE RELEASED until I receive the post. It must still be posted next day delivery with tracking, and I get the tracking number, so if I'm low on coins I know not to sell them to someone else.

After 3 transactions (10 transactions if a member for less than 6 months), half the coins (up to a maximum of £200) will be released when I get the tracking number, the rest when I receive the cash

In the event that only half the Bitcoins were released to you, the other half will be released at a RECALCULATED RATE. 99% of the time it won't matter, but the amount outstanding will be recalculated upon when I get the rest of the money.

Paying using High Street/Internet banking.

What happens is I give you a Sort Code and Account # (and my phone number for quicker communication) and you transfer a test payment of £1. If your online banking suppports what most people's in the UK then it will show up instantly. The £1 will be reimbursed when you buy coins.

You then say how much you are transferring across and I let you know how many BTC you would get.
If you're buying a lot and are a bit wary of me, I am quite happy to do it in chunks of whatever you're comfortable with, minimum of £100/time. If you're buying several thousands worth I'm only willing to do it 5 times, so you could do 1 coins worth, then 3, then 10, then 20, then the rest it's up to you, hell do it 1 4 times but by the 5th you need to send all the cash.

If you instead want to it via the counter, you'll again get the details and you go into your nearest branch of whichever bank I'm using at the time, pay it in (you don't need to do a test paymentm as long as it's the right bank it always goes in instantly when paid at the counter NOT AT THE DROP SLOTS!) then either text or ring me to let me know, or message me on SR if you prefer and I'll move the coins across :)

[ Cost Of Bitcoins ]

https://mtgox.com/index.html?Currency=GBP look at the top, the last number, the weighted average, that + the fee stated below.

The price structure and postal rules are changing. Before reading these remember several things -

[1] I don't charge commission on sales, I don't charge fees of any kind, be it per bitcoin or per transaction, I don't charge fees for withdrawing your money like a lot of places do!
[2] Your coins arrive within SECONDS of me receiving payment, and if the arrangement is done via online banking, from asking to getting your coins could be done IN LESS THAN A MINUTE! Hell even if your bank isn't instant the most it takes to show up on my side is 30mins or so.
[3] If you pay the money OTC (over the counter), by that point you'll have my work number so can contact me, and when it's paid at a counter it shows up instantly so by the time you get home you'll have your coins...and if you didn't want to phone me, it's still only a few seconds of me getting your message
[4] If you're the especially paranoid type and want to go via post, if you pop it in the post before 2pm it has a 99% chance of getting to me the next day! Because of a recent scammer, people will no longer have any coins released before I've seen the money; it seems people will destroy their rep over such a small amount of money. And as you have the tracking number too you can feel safe knowing you have proof that it arrived to me! After 5 postal transactions you then have the option to have half the funds up front. This also applies to people who have already established a relationship with me, you still get it. Unfortunately the limit is £200.
[5] You know whatever the market is, you won't pay much more than it; not only is it hard to find people selling at market prices because they want to bring the value up, whilst only finding really low offers as people try to bring it down and/or force high volume sellers to lower their prices, in either case exchanges cost more, but for those who buy in bulk it's impossible to find anyone who has that many coins selling at anywhere near the market price as they are especially interested in keeping the market price high.
[6] If buying/selling large volumes of bitcoins you can get all your money in 1 go, instead of the limits most places set, whilst paying additional withdrawal costs,

#5 & 6 are especially important - #5 because it's getting harder and harder to find coins for a fair price - people are trying to manipulate the prices, to either lower raise the market, and/or force bulk sellers to stop trying to sell for WAY over their value, and bulk buyers are trying to keep the market high,
#6 affects how much you pay especially if you're a high volume customer - say you managed to sell off a load of coins, you've paid a boatload in transaction fees, especially if multiple clients were involved, and then you've got to withdraw it; most places have not only a daily withdrawal limit, but a monthly limit before they contact authorities and/or ask for ID. And each time you withdraw you pay a fee for that, and if it's going from say euros to pounds they charge you for that as well!

Soooooo with that in mind the prices are gonna change - I was conned out of £300 and it could have ruined my business

New prices are set by how much you're spending instead of per bitcoin:

[£100 to <£400] £5 per hundred (£15 for £300-399 for example)
[£400 to <£1000] £3 per hundred (£21 for £700-799 for example)
[£1000 to <£3000] £30 per thousand, with £10 added per £x100, £120 for £3300 for example.
[£3000+] A flat fee of £100
Fees can be either deducted from the total you were gonna pay (so you'd get £3180 worth of coins for example if you wanted it deducted from the example above, or pay £3420 instead, it's up to you.

[Other Information]

I will not haggle over the value of coins, the rates are the rates.
You can message me on here or the forums, however I will only reply to sales requests from members.

I can also vouch for this vendor 100%

I've used his/her service around 8 times in the last month or so.

It's FAST.
It's EASY.
It's CHEAP.
It's 100% anonymous.

What more do you want when buying coins in the UK?

This vendor's rates are always below the official ฿itcoin market rate, and he updates the rates regularly.

BitcoinsUK does a bang up job. He/she should definitely be your first port of call when looking to buy coins here in the UK.

Bookmark his vendor page.
Deal with this guy once, and you'll be left wondering why on earth you've been bothering with blockchain. lol

The only problems are I'm married so the missus Isn't happy about the increased PC usage, but also, I work, so I can't always get on TOR.

I recommend you all get TORCHAT it's ICQ for TOR basically, but I can run it at my desktop work and it stops me hving to wait 6h to get onto a bood BTC node. This would be the quickest way to contact me..

I have to admit my first week was a little too good and am in face waiting on getting more coins. So if anyone is selling them that would be a major help.

I'm at meetings today so I'm not gonna be free til about 3-4pm. However, considering how much time it normally takes that's not so bad ha.

I hope to have successfull businesses with you all

I'm thinking about opening torchat to everyone (currently it's only members who get my torchat but I suppose people would still hvae to come back on the website to buy a listing because I need their buyer stats..

It's hard to spam without making it look like the atttention-seeking-post-bump of a crazed bitcoin enthusiast. :)

Just a daily bump and a few points.

I don't do loans, don't ask, not only would I not loan money out to strangers, but my business is all about moving coins back and forth so any loans would be a massive hindrance!

If you have less than 3 months of membership (2 months 30 days 24hours and 59s included), then don't ask!

The only new customers who will get all coins released to them before I receive money are the ones who have been around for at least 6 months and have very good buying stats, otherwise it's a half and half situation :)

Instead of editing my rates every few hours I'm going to try keep a steady rate a day. People are coming to me with a rate that is now less than what they are worth, thinking they are entitled to this amount because it says it on my profile!

This is a guideline only, and if I feel the rates don't reflect the market I'm under no obligation to do you them at this price. They are simply a guideline and if they are off by an amount I deem unacceptable, they will be changed on the fly.

I've actually already have a few people react in very um....predictable ways. From demanding I "honour my original price or lose a customer for life" to "if you don't change the price back and compensate me I'll Contact The Dead Private Robin, he's a very close friend of mine and you will be out of here SO fast!"

I've also decided to use this more flat rate price so that there are less nasty surprises, and because I don't take commission or fees, if the coins go up or down in value, the few extra quid you gain or lose is nothing compared to the anal reaming you'd receive going through the proper channels.

Hmm  my business is getting much less love than I expected.  Back when I started, Intersango were about but people were still wary about using their banks for coins.I've created a service that makes it so anonymous and well hidden I'm thinking of calling it schrodinger's BTC Emporium!

When Intersango screwed up and I found DPR in that hardcore D&|M club while bar serving (hey a job is a job), once we got talking and I promised that the pictures would never surface (maybe should have mentioned the the whole meeting here, Mr. Nipple Clamps-O-Jizzwistel)  I thought this service of mine would be an absolute god send to the UK folks wanting quick coins anonymously!

I guess my biggest problem is that it's not the mall fries and customers LEO would be after, and vendors tend to have their own ways of cashing out (btw, any UK vendors, I really need some coins, I'm running low!)

My point is, are some people avoiding the service due to concerns or worries, or that it's just no good to them ? Im soon going to offer paying into banks for when I'm buying coins (well, actually, we'll call this the announcement...wooo.....) I charge £5 no matter what bank, I'm pretty sure all of them are in my city centre. Hell for £10 I'll pay it in at the teller instead of the drop box so it goes in right away, but would prefer to be able to just drop it in the drop box.

If anyone has any concerns please feel free to ask! It's what I'm here for (well technically that't not true, it's bitcoin trading...maybe this is why I suck at it I keep forgetting my job title)

For anyone that missed it we recently implemented a quick  contact service - if you are a member and send an email to bitcoinsUK@tormail.org it'll get forwarded to my phone email account so I know to get to a computer...or look at the comptuer anyhow.

If there's anything else, simply ask, I'm  here to help (and make money, mostly make money...you got any, huh, huh ? I'll CUT YOU!)

Only just now found this thread but I think I might be interested in trying you out sometime, I have good stats on the main site and have been a member for a year or so, but I have a different username there because I don't want this forum identity directly linked to my buyer account for security reasons.  Anyway, thanks for providing this service, from the feedback here it would seem you are legit, so big ups to you.

Thanks for all the kind words folks, I'm planning on starting a new system to boost membership - members will get discounts on the coins on top of their normal price.

Some people won't be getting membership though, as every person I've sold coins to (at least 20) I've asked them to post in the forums to boost my profile, and although some can't because they don't have a forum account (not a big deal to sign up for one..but I can't really bitch about that it's a bit too much effort when all you wanna do is buy coins) a lot simply haven't bothered, so those won't be getting discounted rates :P

[Current Rates (market is £22.50) from 01/03/12]
Selling coins for £22 for first time buyers
Buying Coins for £21 first time buyers

ALSO i've decided to offer an extra reward to people who signed up for membership and helped me out, by offering extra discounts!
I'll be making a list of these people once I get permission, but these are the rates
Selling coins for £21.00 for members/supporters
Buying Coins for £22 for members/supporters

Here you can find out information on how it works, details of my services, , and how to contact me.
You can now email me at BitcoinsUK@tormail.org which will be forwarded to my phone. If you're not going to encrypt it simply put your username and the worth of coins youwant, like - bitcoinsuk 200. Member's have the added bonus that if they add the word urgent, if I'm not at a computer I'll try get to one.

I've decided that the membership list is going to stay private, there's no need to have it listed.

However, I am also going to have some fun with my members. Because my service is not a drug dealing service, I'm just doing currency exchange, it gives me a lot more flexibility in having a bit of fun on such a stuck up site! (no offense intended, I know its a necessity)

So what I'm going to do is start a lottery. People who signed up as members can buy a lottery listing for say 0.1btc. That transaction ID will be their "ticket", you can buy as many tickets as you want.

At the end of whatever time frame I decide to run it at, an ID will be picked out and the winner will get THE WHOLE POT! That's right, nothing coming to me, just a bit of fun for members.

What I do need to find out though is the legal implications of this. ATM I'm just a currency exchanger, but if my thinking is correct, this is going into illegal gambling territory ? Are there any experts who could help me out on this ? I won't be taking a cut at all, and was actually hoping to do events where some proceeds go to charities (animal shelters, relief funds etc.)

I won't start the lottery bit until I get clear legal advice on this because the way it works atm is it wouldn't be too hard to bust me for trying to get an animal shelter some extra food...

I'm changing up a few things.

First off, membership is now 1BTC, but entitles you to discounts on coins, lottery access, free half-escrow (explained in a minute) and the chance on a smaller share

I changed up the rules for releasing the coins. Coins will be worked out at every step of money and or coing swapping owership, however coins can be very volatile, so while I simply enjoyed a bonus, I didn't think how badly it would hurt while the market rise meaning I was giving away less and less coins, except the market recently had a sharp turn and because my rates are so razor thin. if it wasn't for their kindness I probably would have not found it worth rhe risk to my well being.
The first option is no escrow, where, although it works in the same way as Silk Road (stealing is far too an accurate er mean - word) wherein none members pay £3 for the chance of always walking away with something, but only receiving half your winnings don't even think of asking, of COURSE i keep them:P Nah half goes in the next pot, the other half I keep and do whatever you think is coolest (blindefolded)

I'm contantly adding things for members only then forgetting them because I think of them when someone asks me a question - and forgot what I wrote down after encrypting with their keys.

When I find out what they were again and tell yers

OK a friend of mine who works in accounting has given me some brilliant advice and it's almost like reverse escrow - for a flat fee, none members get half the difference if the coins went down in value, so if they were going to get 2 coins but would now need 3 go get the same money's worth, they get half the money.

This doens't work the other way, my prices are just WAY too low to take any sort of hit yet - I've got vendors LENDING me coins I'm that desperate haha.
Members get this offer for free for every deal.

There is also Full Reverse-Escrow.
::None members get fully covered, but same applies again, if the market ends up working in your favour you don't need any benefits, only you don't get ANY losses. Also, if there was no losses, £5 is returned.

I reckon the more small offers for members will enable me to keep it running with my prices, otherwise it's just gonns be worth it.

In a bit after my sleep I'm going to add EU listings for a slightly higher price (no Australia of course) and while that will be FE insistant, I might remove that from how it goes here. Coke dealing
::New members get 100% of the loss.

Just a bump for BitcoinsUK 2.0 - now massively streamlined, with public support from SexyWax ThescienceGuy and Tunbear.

Thank you very much guys :) I must make a note though, for the next 12 weeks I'm doing 12 hour shifts, which means I'm in work from 6am to 6pm, and I can't always access my home machine from work, so people please don't think I'm trying to scam you if I don't reply straight away :) Here's to a productive future...now I have to go to work, enjoy your drugs you bunch of lucky buggers! :)

What happened to me spooked BUK pretty hard, he's a normal guy does no drugs etc. and I was his main supplier, I told him he had to go on the run so I guess he shut down.

I'm trying to contact him to get him back online but dunno how long it'll take

This is BUK here, bitcoins are available again in limited supply, and am letting people know that if your stats are good enough we will be accepting payment through internet banking.
Check this listing for information.

I've updated the terms of buying bitcoins as someone has scammed me. Unfortunately this means waiting longer for new members who want to use the post, but you should be using the bank anyway :P
EDIT: The name of the customer was sara

here are her stats
Total transactions: 61
Total spent: $8459.21
Refund rate: 3.24%
Auto-finalize rate: 20.27%
Member for: 1 year

Seems weird that such a long standing member would rip me off for £300 as I'm gonna pass it on to as many vendors as possible, it's such a small amount to lose stellar stats over. Oh well maybe he/she was thinking I was going to send the full £600 over

I will not haggle over the prices, ANY ATTEMPT to haggle over the set prices will mean ANY further messages will be deleted without looking at them. I make very little money per deal so don't waste my time.
You can message me on here or the forums, and once you become a customer you'll get my telephone number
