Hi all
I am trying to import a public key from a vendor but my system says "No keys where found". I am using GPG4win and in the vendors key is says its. BCPG C# v1.6.1.0. is this the issue? What program should I use to get the public key?
Thanks

You need to copy the vendor's key into a text file, save this somewhere on your computer. There should be an option in your GPG program to import a key, select this and then choose the text file you just created. Once this is imported you should be able to encrypt your message using this key.

Thanks, I am doing this I have the key saved as a txt file but when I import it says no key found. I have tested with other keys and they work. Just not this one.

Not sure then mate, might be the vendor didnt copy it down correctly, the number of dashes either end of it is important I think.

Yeah, my first guess would be that you or the vendor maybe clipped off some of the dashes in the first or last lines (BEGIN/END PGP PUBLIC KEY BLOCK). If it still doesn't work, PM the vendor asking for his key.

Thanks guys. Everything in the key looks fine and all the dashes are there in comparison to other keys. I have sent the vendor a msg so will see. They are doing sales so I might be doing something wrong but cant seem to figure it out.
