WEEKLY FANTASY FOOTBALL POT
---------------------------
Let me know if any of you would be interested in this game. So for all of my fantasy football fanatics out there i wanna do a weekly fantasy football tournament (Roughly in the $1-$10 range per person with maybe a seperate High Stakes Game as well $50-$100 per person ). So i will create some sort of salary cap where each contestant can pick whichever players they want as long as they remain with in the salary cap to fill their team for the week. Basically its everyone versus everyone in the ultimate test of football knowledge. There will be payouts to 1st 2nd and 3rd and i will add more places depending on how many entries there are for a given week. So all im asking from you guys is feedback on 1.)Would you be interested in this 2.) How much should the high stakes and low stakes game be priced at? and 3.) Can i get some good karma for these great ideas.

I'd be interested in this. You're going to have to find a source to use to value the players for salary cap purposes. I would use a site like cbssports.com or espn.com and use their projections for that given week and use that as the basis for the salary cap. The same players are going to be worth different amounts in different weeks depending on match ups, injury status, etc... so it's imperative that you have a consistent source for valuing players and everyone knows what it is ahead of time. I'd do groupings of 10-12 people and make that a "matchup" for the week. For example, the 1st 10 people play each other, everyone throws in $20, total pot of $200. Winner gets 65%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 10%. That way you avoid the chance that people have the exact same team going up against each other (if 50 people play there are going to be some really similar teams). It also increases the odds that you win something (30% chance). I'd do a High Stakes game with the same format except the buy in is $100, if people won't spend that much make it $50. I think that's a good template for you to work with. See what you can't tweak here and there, but I think it's a great idea and I'd definitely play.
