Title: International Mail
Post by: DoloresHumbert on April 02, 2013, 03:00 pm
I ordered something which fits inside a letter a while back, and I was wondering if international mail (EU) moves on weekends and holidays (easter)? I know it doesn't drop into my mailbox until it's a weekday, but does it "move" on those special occasions and weekends?

Thanks in advance

It does move on weekends (not sure about the Easter weekend). Sometimes letters posted on Friday arrive at a different country within EU on Monday morning.

I have been waiting for a delivery for 5 working days. I hope it is delayed due to Easter because normally it takes 2 days +-. Anyone facing similar issues or with info?

It's been five days altogether for me, but only two working days. I hope I'll get it before the weekend.

From what I gather, here where I am mail posted domestically at the beginning of last week is still arriving today. This reason makes me optimistic that my package is not lost and may still make it in the next couple of days maximum.

Easter can present a delay hiccup in mail. True story.

Yeah I've noticed there's a delay. Any idea on how long the delay will be?

My packages have not arrived yet. It seems like the Easter hiccup is somewhat long.
Have you received anything?
