Was I supposed to create the same user name as on SR and post using that username to build credit?
Damit did I do it all wrong?

You have 4 posts, is it really that big a deal? If you're worried about it, just stick your face in a pillow and have a good cry.

Haha good point...so I am supposed to create one and have it be the same right?

I didn't, I don't think a lot of people do. If you're a vendor it might be beneficial, but I can't see any other reason tbh. If can always PM a vendor if you want to inform them of your silkroad username. In fact, I'd say your better off just sticking with a random username, just in case.

I can teach him how to bite his pillow as well - just need an address

hahaha this made me laugh out loud.

I dont think that using the same username is going to be the nail in the coffin.

This forum and the main site are both onion-site's.
What is dangerous is to use the same name you use on a onion-site on the clearnet.
Mass analysis of internet-traffic can filter out particular names.
L.E. is catching sick people that look at cp that way.
All traffic is stored.
Satellite-phones and tor-traffic just the same.
Remember the conversation with J Assange and Mannings, or the terrorists attack in Bombay?
Big brother is watching you.
( See the wikileaks spycables from dec 2011)
So if you have uploaded a wrong picture, and think that you can remove it.
Think again...

Good answer, wasta. The only thing I'll add is that everyone needs to remember that Tor is an **anonymity** tool, not an encryption tool. Everything you say here can be read in the open, just not (theoretically) traced back to your IP address in that coffee shop or bedroom.

I didn't - but I'm slightly paranoid.

I don't think it matters, I've seen a few giant vendors who have totally different usernames on the forum.
I guess if you're on here hustling for free samples or something, it could help to have the forum name same as SR name, makes it easier to see "oh this guy has a ton of posts, and transactions".
Even if it's different, you can just mention your SR name in your signature.

I do. I don't really see how it could be a security risk.
