Hi guys, I'm very new here, just found TSR about a week ago, and after spending a few hours each day studying, reading, browsing, and learning....I finally feel like I have a grasp on how things work, and I'm ready to grab some bitcoins.
Not having a bank account (don't trust them), and willing to pay the vendors fees for going the moneypak to bitcoin route, I just wanted to do my best to ensure I'm going with a reputable vendor.
Doing my research, it seems that BTC Buddy, and Sugar Mama are very reputable. Can anyone confirm this? I dont want to lose a few hundred $$$s!
Thanks guys!

I've used both, and they are reliable. No worries getting your coin from either of them.

Thank you, I appreciate the quick response :)

I am currently purchasing BTCs for the first time. I am using Dwolla and am annoyed about how long the whole process is taking. Any chance you can give a quick step by step on how to use moneypack and transfer to bitcoin vendors? Thanks for any help!

I'd like to know this too. It pisses me off how I have to transfer funds to Dwolla on a Friday payday and not have it clear till fucking WEDNESDAY, then have to wait past the weekend to receive a shipment. >:(

If you have a fairly large moneypak, say $300 or more, you are probably going to get faster results. MP to BTC vendors can only process a certain amount of moneypaks per day/week/month, so the larger paks are going to get priority. Not always, but usually.
Sugar Mama is slow and steady. Message her and see what her queue is like. She also takes moneygram and Western Union, which will undoubtedly be faster if there is a long queue.
I got aggravated with waiting on long queues, and messaged BTC Buddy about how long it would take to process a $300 moneypak. 18 minutes later, he responded that it might take 24 hours, but that he'd try to do it sooner.
I sent him the moneypak code. It took him maybe 20 minutes to deposit coin to my SR account. Blew my freakin' mind how fast he was. Prior to that, the quickest I ever got coin was about three days. He charged a bit more than Sugar Mama, but not so much more that I wouldn't be willing to pay it again to have coin within the hour... I don't mind paying for the convenience, speed, and anonymity that BTC vendors offer. I think they are a valuable part of the SR community, and their fees are no secret- just check their vendor pages.
Whoever you choose, add one of their listings to your cart.
Send them the MP code, and dollar amount, ENCRYPTED, in the message field. You'll have to enter your SR secondary password (PIN) in the field where it belongs, too.
Wait for your coin.
Just be aware that unless you've communicated with the vendor prior to placing the order, that it may take a day or two, even three. I've waited a freaking week before...
Don't send your moneypak code to more than one vendor at a time.
Hope this helps...

As the above poster stated.....considering how much hassle the other methods of obtaining bitcoins are, Moneypak to Bitcoin is as simple as it could possibly get.
1) Go to walmart, walgreens, or wherever you decide to get your moneypak
2) Go to one of the MP>BTC vendor pages.....and click their MP>BTC Listing
3) Click Add to Cart
4) Enter your MP#, and the amount on the card
5) Receive BitCoins
I have yet to get any BTCs from ANY method, as I am very new, but this process seems very, very simple :)
