Title: Concern over a vendor's lack of concern over product accuracy
Post by: quinone on December 23, 2011, 06:32 am
I recently sent davidd a message on SR telling him how to make corrections to a posting for his bk-MDMA/4-MEC 'special in which he had made GROSSLY incorrect statement's about bk-MDMA.

All I did in my msg to him was quote the incorrect line (there were 2 major mistakes) wherein he said that Methylone is an MDMA analog (he definitely didn't say analog though, some other word .. the listing made no sense, hard to remember verbatim) WITH AN EXTRA CARBON.  That would be MDEA.

Anyways, I know most people probably don't care what these 'science' words are/mean/blah cuz they just buy their drugs off the street's at whatever discretion the dealer wishes to provide, but this is a marketplace in which MANY organic compounds are, and you are selling MIXTURE's of them with terribly incorrect info (which speaks to the vendor).  Don't sell Methylone/4-MEC mixture unless you know BASIC chemistry!

My problem is that my MSG was met with a response of just complete disregard for the importance of just making two basic changes.  He suggested to me that it doesn't matter if his listing's have blaringly (and insultingly) stupid chemistry declarations because i'm the only one ever to have brought it up to him.  Let it be known that it doesn't matter if i'm the only person in the USA that care's, but you listed a product, and described it COMPLETELY WRONG.  Furthermore these are product's we consume.

Everyone can read into my concerns as they will, and i'm sure a majority of you will side with the "I don't care as long as it's as good as their last stuff" mentality, but that's what's disturbing about it.  Every user of phenethylamine/carthinone analog's ('research chemicals') should care that the drug they are being given is described to them in the correct way.

I don't know what his shipping/stealth/communications/product 'quality' are like, but I am addressing my disturbing concern for this vendor's completely apathetic, and quite facetious reply and attitude to a serious and important issue regarding the description of his product.

quinone:

your post caught my attention because I purchased from ddavid 350mg 98.5% PURE Methylone Pre-dissolved Vial (exact wording in his listing).  I've done ecstasy before but not pure MDMA.  Is there something I should be worried about?

Thanks

Woah dude, you're kinda spergin' out like mad.

He's selling methylone and people are buying it knowing that it's methylone.  I don't think it's so necessary to grill him because he botched the chemistry a tiny bit.

I gotta side with mambosun as it's clearly stated that it is methylone. It doesn't matter if davidd knows the chemistry of the chemical or not, so long as the manufacturer can do the o-chem sythesis properly then that's all one should worry about. Your idea that one shouldn't sell a product unless you know the chemistry of it would probably exclude many highly ranked vendors.

Many buyers research anything they buy on other websites like erowid or wikipedia and don't go by the only info in the listing. Hell, that goes for street and prescription drugs, not just research chemicals. Davidd got the point across that Methylone is similar in chemical structure and effects to MDMA.

If someone gets high off methylone, does it matter if they know the chemical structure or not?

A simple answer to your concern is to not buy from the vendor if you do not trust his postings and/or feedback.  I've seen questionable things in listings too, I chose not to buy from them.  That is the beauty of the free market.

I definitely agree with the principle of OP. He is probably (as pointed out by the vendor) one of the only people that is able to discern any problem with the listing.  While that does not necessarily mean bad product, it's good to know. Knowledge is power and all that.  The "solution" is not to purchase from a vendor you feel to be inadequate and make sure others understand (or at least know about) the risk. Thanks quinone!

...

I'm sorry, I didn't think my concern would raise so much anger.

I tried to approach it tactfully and I mean no malice to davidd. I just want it to be back to the old ways, where people cared about the quality and .. identity of the product they bought.  When e tabs were actually MDMA, not these multi-coloured, 'double/triple stack' play on words nonsense pills it was good times, then my entire life with MDMA ceased cuz i wasn't going to eat that shit anymore.  Then this beautiful gem we call SR appeared and real MDMA was again at my fingertips.   The concern of this thread is just that i'd like to see the standards of quality maintained on SR.

You are welcome mambosun, even though I know you're being completely facetious

@MedGaud if his feedback is good, he has good standing on the forums then no you don't have anything to be worried about.  I'm addressing his listing descriptions (which were word for word copy&paste wiki, but from the wrong parts of wiki lol) and clearly people no longer care about standards, but it is what it is.

PS: This is in reference to the METHYLONE he sells, not MDMA, I was just reflecting on the good old 90s

A ton of sellers outright lie about the strength of their products or are inaccurate. Its best just to learn who can and cannot be trusted.
