So, it is my understanding that if you were to have a package with your name and your address shipped to you, and it contains illegal materials, and you open/accept the package, you're claiming ownership, acknowledging you were expecting said package, and thus can be prosecuted.
Receiving a package and writing "RETURN TO SENDER" and waiting a few days is a good idea as well from what I've read.
Now my question is, how can one reasonably know if they're expecting a package, from which country/state?
If you make frequent online purchases through eBay or other online retailers, you will often receive packages from various countries/states. Often I will receive a package in the mail, not knowing if it is an eBay purchase or not, or some random person sending me stuff, or something from SR.
Is there any plausible deny-ability in claiming that a package accepted/opened was expected to be an eBay purchase?
If I were to make an eBay purchase around the time I were to expect a SR delivery, wouldn't that provide reasonable doubt that I expected an illegal parcel?
There are honestly times where I have two packages, and I cannot for the life of me figure out which one is an eBay purchase, and which one is a SR/other deep web purchase.

That is something to let your lawyer decide. All you need to worry about is buying from reputable vendors and keeping your mouth shut if LE intervenes.

I'm not actually seriously worried. I'm just curious as to the legal matters regarding receiving packages.
If I expect a package from eBay and unintentionally open/accept another package that is a "controlled delivery", expecting it was a bottle of perfume or some item, that's plausible deny-ability??
Or would this all depend on the circumstances/laywer/judge?

Good question...
First of all, this really depends on the country. As long as they can't prove you've been on SR then I don't think you have much to worry about. Buying BTC is perfectly legal also - this doesn't prove that you've purchased anything illegal.
Unless you use fake names (I recommend using your real name) then writing RTS won't work, it would seem odd that you were returning a letter addressed to you. If the authorities had knowledge that weed had been sent to your house then they wouldn't wait a few days to bust you, they'd do a controlled drop. I think your best option would be to leave any package you get unopened for a few days, but most people aren't this patient.

Ask your vendor here what packaging or shipping name they used (using GPG)
It's always good to know your vendors packaging, as other people have said sometimes police will intercept, mutilate the box it came in and repackage it for controlled delivery. If your vendor said they sent an envelope and the postie shows up with a shoebox or bulky envelope as they can't repackage stealth you know something is up.
