Title: noob poems
Post by: poem on May 29, 2013, 07:12 am
We long for heart shaped candies but get brandy glasses clinging,
of course we covet diamonds, we're charcoal ashes dreaming
for a purpose with a meaning,
see, we hurt, feel worthless and start seething
our inner demons, they're so deceiving
angels are heathens,
it all depends what you believe in,
relieve your internal grieving
lest you grow weary with pain that can't be alleviated
lost souls live in fantasies, minds integrate the lies
tear drops fall thicker if you keep your open eyes

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
   Down to a sunless sea.

"I'm not surprised that our Lord Jesus Christ liked consorting with sinners
And with whores; after all, that's just what I fancy too"
