Title: Cocaine cut wiht levamisole
Post by: jackandjill on October 01, 2013, 08:03 am
Does anyone have any idea how much of the coke out on the market contains levamisole?  Would using coke recreationally on occasion cause the bad side effects as described by the main stream media?
thanks all

There's lots of information available on the internet, try something like 'levamisole health effects' on Google or Google Scholar. Here's a short piece concerning levamisole as a cocaine adulterant by the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (from the 2010 annual report):
http://www.emcdda.europa.eu/online/annual-report/2010/boxes/p66

And from the report "The Netherlands Drug Situation 2011" by the Trimbos institute (In English, can be found at: http://www.trimbos.org/~/media/English%20site/AF1130%20The%20Netherlands%20Drug%20Situation%202011_web.ashx):

"*In North America, use of cocaine mixed with levisamol has been linked to a dange-
rous deficiency of white blood cells, which reduces resistance to illness (Zhu et al.,
2009; Knowles et al., 2009).
*Little is known as yet about a comparable situation in the Netherlands or in other Eu-
ropean countries. Based on available data and the situation in late 2009, there is a
real possibility of similar occurrences in the Netherlands, but a large-scale public
health risk is thought to be unlikely (CAM, 2009). "

Over 71% (other estimates put it at 80%) of cocaine is tainted with levamisole. Evidence shows it is being contaminated *before* crossing the U.S. border. As you probably already know, levamisole causes immune system malfunction and, in rare cases, necrosis of the skin. The odds of exposing yourself are high.

This is one of the many reasons I stopped doing cocaine a few years ago.
