I tried to deal with him, wanted to cash out btc to western union, something he had been advertising..

He said he didnt understand at first, then he said it would take over night, then he said he didnt do that...

Relative to how much business BTCKing does, there sure isn't much about him in the forums.

Dealing with this guy as we speak.
Cash deposit to Bitcoins
By tomorrow I'll have some feedback.
Will post here.

I did it, and everything worked out well.
Not as fast as one might hope (12 hours) but that may have a lot to do with the huge SR outage today.
Either way, I say he's legit.
I filled out a deposit slip (no name required) and got the bitcoins.
In my opinion this is the best way to do things.
No need to buy a stupid money-pak or anything just pop by your local Bank of America (could even probably do the drive through) and pop the money into his account.

The only issue I had with the whole ordeal was the bitchy teller at the bank, but thats not his fault.

Can anyone else weigh in on this guy? He's got 229 transactions, but not much feedback on the forums to back it up. I need some coins for the sale this weekend, and he seems like a good bet, but I'd like to here from a few more before I pull the trigger.

Peace!

I dealt with him a couple times, including today.

Before I say anything, anyone want to take a stab at what exchange rate he goes by, just by looking at his listings/profile?

edited to add:  just saw he added a line to his profile today...

This was on January 28th
Quote
$40 less our 10% fee,$4...less $6 deposit fee = $30 = 5.64 BTC
It would appear that he uses the daily conversion rate.
BTW, he was technically 11 cents off (from what I got and what the above reads).

I deposited cash into his account through a Bank of America, and received the coin within an hour or two of the deposit.

BTCKing worked perfectly this single time I worked with him, and I'd likely work with him again using the bank deposit route (just his account name and number needed, I didn't have to provide any info).

I gave him my MP code then he told me he doesn't deal with MP anymore. He was honest and didn't empty the MP so I would use him again.

I used him today and it worked great! Placed an order last night, deposited money into his account this morning, and the BTC was on my SR account when I got back from the bank which is only like 10 minutes away.

Will definitely do business with him again!

I've been a little bit leary of BTCKing as well. It says he has lots of transactions, but theres something about his feedback. It all seems to ring the same bell, and theres not a lot about him in the forums. I was starting to get worried he was  a sock-puppeter to his feedback.

I had an order placed with him, but the bank I went to wanted more information I didn't have, so I had to cancel the order. Used BTCPal for MP..

But yeah, what does everyone else think about BTCKing? Legit?

As far as I know he's legit.  I deposited 100 into his account, and similar to you there was a hiccup in the information, but I just acted like a goof who put it down wrong (it was the state in which the account is located) and said I was paying a bill. The bank lady said okie dokie and processed it with the correct info.

Within the hour I had the bitcoin in my account.

Im sure his methods work but who wants to make a bank deposit? I dont like that method and judging by the number of transactions he has had along with how long he has been a vendor many member would agree.

Ill avoid him, I wish he did MP to BTC, because I do trust him and his service...

BTCKing is real,  he is fast, and he is a nice guy.  Deposited at noon had coins by 3:30 on a saturday.  Much faster than MP and just as anonymous.  A great solution for me until I get everything straightened out with Dwolla and Tradehill.

I did a trade with BTCKing and other than not knowing about the $6 deposit fee, all went well and quick. Although, he was about $4 -off what I should have got in my account, so watch him close I say.
I wont deal with him again unless I have to but I did get my bitcoins from him. most of them anyway.

Hi Thormax, The King here...I strive to give everyone 100% satisfaction. If you had replied with your concerns about being a little short I could have cleared it up for you as this explanation is on my homepage also..... Sr uses a 24 hour average for their BTC to Dollar value on their account read out. So if the BTC that you bought from me was priced higher or lower than SR's 24 hour average, which is usually the case, then you would see a false dollar value which could be higher or lower than the actual amount...BEST TO KEEP IT ON BTC READOUT NOT DOLLAR...This can be confirmed by SR. So actually if you had come to me I could have straightened out your concerns. If you want to discuss this further please drop me a line, I am always available....BTCking..

The guy is usually really easy to work with.
I've had some slight issues with amounts being just a little off, but he fixed it when contacted.
Either way, for ease of use, I'd DEFINITELY suggest this dude.

im not here to slag him off. i put an order in earlier today and got it as fast i as deposited money into his account. reminds me of the MP vendors when i first started. i used him because he seemed cheaper than the MP vendors and it seemed like i could get my btc very fast(i did). my problem with his service was he essentially had the same price as the MP vendors. on his profile page he touts his 10% fee but in the end i wound up paying more like 15 or 16%. most of that is explained on his profile page but the btc average he gave me was over the 24hour high or average on mtgox. again, im not completely upset with his service. communication was fast and btc transfer was fast like back in the day but i would only use him again if i needed btc instantly.

Pretty new at getting BTC's and BTCKing was more than happy to help me through any little issues I had.
Excellent communication, excellent service, speedy turn-over time, and completely anonymous(favorite part).  I had already read reviews about his services and expected to pay a high value for the BTC's which actually ended up being higher than what I thought the daily average was.  Luckily BTC's have gone up in value :).... 100% satisfied and would DEFINITELY recommend using BTCKing

Noob here with my first post.  Based on BTCKing's reviews and convenience (vs. Dwolla>MtGox) I decided to use his service.  He was very helpful and made the transaction smooth and painless.  I think the service fees are at the threshold of what I am willing to pay but for the convenience I think it's worth it.  Getting the Mt.Gox account setup is a total PITA and time-consuming so I will probably use BTCKing in the future.

These forums are a wealth of knowledge and I've been researching vendors and hoping to make some purchases soon!

My first transaction with BTCKing was terrible but not his fault. Used dwolla and his clearinghouse took forever and ended up giving me a refund. Due to this, he stopped using Dwolla and processed my next transaction with no fees! My two transactions since then have been great. The BTC were spot on and I had them within 45min max. I send him a message immediately after making the deposit and get coins fast! Thanks BTCKing!

Just got my coins from him.

I picked the worse possible day to use his service as they were having maintenance, so it took several hours for him to respond to the initial purchase on SR. Once he did he gave me the info I needed and asked my to wait till tomorrow, because of the maintenance. Today came, I went to the bank and put in the cash. By the time I left the parking lot I was sick. I'm new to the area and didn't realise the bank I deposited at was NOT in the same zip as he was expecting. I rushed home as fast as I could (bout 10 minutes) to message him with the fuck up. I got on silk road, which was already up, and shot him a message. By the time the page refreshed I saw my coins! It was that fucking quick! This was definitely way less painless than Dwolla/MtGox etc.

Will use again for sure.

They both have EXCEPTIONAL feedback .. so just curious!

Had the best experience dealing with BTCKing. He went out of his way to a newbies experience easy as 1.2.3. Whole process was done faster and more easy than imagined. Thanks again BTCKing.
