Title: Unable to add postage option in vendor account
Post by: daRwin on July 26, 2012, 03:05 pm
Hi guys,

For some reason, when I try to add a new postage option for an existing listing, the page just redirects to http://silkroadvb5piz3r.onion/index.php/silkroad/list_item/xxxxxxxxxx and then a blank 'new listing' page appears with the new shipping option but none of the details of the item. Is this a problem on my end or is it a glitch with the software?

Anyone else having this problem?

All the best,
daRwin

Yes I too am seeing something like this happening right now. I have been trying to create a SIMPLE listing for over a hour now. I finally get a picture uploaded and then the shipping is screwed, I fix the shipping and EVERYTHING else in the listing is blank, even though I have saved.

SR Support, please look into this.

Getting the same exact thing when I tried to add a new shipping option  :-\

I'm surprised I'm the one who knows this, since I'm not a (real)vendor, like you guys... but the thing is, when you change shipping-options, you lose all the stuff that has been added to the listing. Title, location, description, even price all goes away. Don't know why, but that is what happens. So add your shipping options first, then worry about typing it out nice. And daRwin, what you need to do is stop hitting the back-button on your browser. ;)

Haha no it's definitely a bug, whenever I add a new shipping option it goes to some weird blank listing and then it adds the shipping option to all my other listings which shouldn't happen and some people thought they were getting free express shipping on all my products  :-\

That's what I described... or tried to describe, at least. The shipping options aren't actually part of every individual listing, apparently.

I'd imagine we have all found that out the hard way already or else there would be no listings up anywhere.
This has nothing to do with what you are talking about, and it's definitely a bug.

The error I am referring to occurs ONLY when modifying the postage options of an existing item.
It adds these options to a new blank listing instead of to the one you are actually trying to modify.
Creating a new listing from scratch - everything seems to be working normally.

Also, I don't get your reference to my use of the back button, what has that got to do with it?

Agreed this is a bug. A new bug. not just a "you have to do it this way" thing.

I can also confirm that it's been fixed, I love the SR administration always quietly working behind the scene to fix bugs!  :D
