I've read most of the post on pgp for macs and nothing seems to help. Every time I try to encrypt text after I've imported the vendors key it says no usable private key was found. The weird thing is I had trouble getting it to work at first and then it randomly worked for a day and I haven't been able to get it to encrypt text again. I tried downloading it again and everything I'm lost. Any help we be greatly appreciated I'm very frustrated. Thanks in advance

I believe it, but I got it to work by just copy and pasting the vendors public key to text edit and I then imported the key from there then wrote the info and copy and pasted again...I don't get it but whatever

OK you probably didn't allow the services for OpenPGP yet.
Go to system preferences> keyboard> services> then allow all the services for OpenPGP (there should be 5 of them.)
Then you should be able to highlight your text file, right click and select encrypt. It should let you choose any address that you have imported.
To import an address is the same thing, paste it into a text file, highlight it, right click and select import to OpenPGP.
