Post by: raveyote69 on March 06, 2012, 01:34 am
I have been reading torproject extensively, and doing my research, but do you guys have any tips and tricks on how i should setup a relatively-high-traffic tor hidden service running on a remote server somewhere?

any protips and hints would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

Change the physical location of your server as frequently as is practical.  There was a discussion on here earlier about the probability of your adversary being able to identify your server within X months assuming control of N guard nodes.  You haven't mentioned what your hidden service is going to be, and I don't want to know, but if you're doing anything that the TLAs would not look kindly upon, having your server located is something you really don't want.

Track down the Black OP Security tutorial about setting up a hidden location service, 95% of it is still great advice to this day.
