Hey guys, I'm rather new to silk road, and I'm getting ready to make my first purchase.
I've done a lot of research and reading over the past week or so, and I think I have it down.
So basically, I have to go: Bank > Dwolla > Intersango > SR, correct? Originally I planned on using Mt Gox, but now I'm reading that they now ask for I.D., and that's kind of a hassle, so I'm thinking intersango instead. And when I transfer the actual bitcoins, it's just a matter of copying and pasting addresses, right? One last question about encryption. When I want to communicate with a vendor, and use encryption, we need to use emails outside of SR right? Appreciate any help.

-That would work fine. Some people would throw an instawallet or two in there after intersano

-Yes sir
When I want to communicate with a vendor, and use encryption, we need to use emails outside of SR right?
-You can use the private messaging system on SR. Have you learned about PGP yet? You can encrypt messages and copy and paste the encryption to send to another user.

Thanks for the reply Asbury. Yes I have read about PGP, I actually followed the really good guide that someone posted in the security sub forum. Your post cleared it up for me though, I actually don't need to use email outside of SR, duh. Not sure why I was under the impression that I had to in the first place, lol. Thanks again for the help man.
