Dont know, Dont care. Bitinstant SUCKS and charges way too much. I use localbitcoins.com it is by far the fastest easiest way to get BTC

I read somewhere that it was down until the new website launches? I do not know when that will be, unfortunately.

This is like the 6th post asking the same thing..
bitinstant is not sure there self from what i have been told by them when the new site will be ready,
cash deposit will be back then.. Use Blue sky traders, or a BTC vendor there are a few on here with low %
one guy is like 2.5% another 5% FUCK 15%
i DONT KNOW about local bit coins, but id rather not meet with some strnager to buy coins, when i can just go 5 min send a money gram and normally have my coins in a hour from bitinstant, there only what a 3% fee? maybe 4% big deal there great..
BST if u get it in before a certain time, it will be there the name AM...

Yeah I typically use BitInstant because it's quick but a.) a $400 order I put in 7 days ago via Coinapult hasn't shown up yet and b.) these jokers at BitInstant have the worst communication their customers that I have ever encountered.
If you're going to implement a new website and service will be down for a while then wouldn't it be considerate to simply inform your customers at least a day or two beforehand? Mt Gox doesn't do cash deposits anymore I don't believe. I'm going to test out LocalBitcoins but I am certainly a bit nervous and it seems like a lot of the BTC sellers want a considerable markup (eg 8-10%) so we'll see.
It'd definitely be nice to see the MoneyGram functional by tomorrow (I need my BTC ASAP). But these guys are always way off with their estimates of when they'll be complete / functional again. BitInstant said they'd have things back up after the weekend and we're already pushing into Tuesday now. The second BitInstant gets a decent rival I think a lot of people will be more than happy to jump ship. BitInstant always blames their issues on "rapid growth we've seen during the last few months" but that's not a real excuse, IMHO... there are better solutions than going AWOL and giving inaccurate estimates of when they'll be functioning again.
Is it possible to do cash deposits with MtGox anymore? I used to do that back in the day but I opted out when they started asking for Driver's Licenses and Utility bills and all that.

I honestly think they are only down until the BTC prices shoot back up. I just think it's weird that they are all of a sudden down for maintenance (something you would think they would alert customers about prior to starting it) right when BTC prices begin to drop drastically. Sounds like a scheme to make money by stocking up.
