on my main SR account, I changed it last night after all that team snitch crap, as I was on the list, probably wasn't a good idea to change it under the influence of weed and xanax, is there anything I can do to reset it or can admin tell me the password?
I am a dick. :-[
cheers for any advice.

You need to send a message to SilkRoad Admin team and pray. It may take a week for them to get it up and running for you. I am not too sure what type of verification they will use to make sure you are who you say you are.
Good Luck

i think posting a public key in the pgp thread BEFORE forgetting your password helps in such cases.
good luck anyway.

How do you contact them? I have a similar problem. I wrote down my log in information and something was written down wrongly. I think my user name is correct but my password is not. I have the PIN for that account and everything. How do I get in contact with the admin team? Thanks!

you will need to create a new account, I would recommend something that resembles the one you lost the password to. Then send them a message through the link at the bottom of Silk Road. You may need to give them information like the bitcoin address that you deposited funds to and anything that they may need to verify you are who you say you are. Or they may just send your bitcoins to the backup address that you put in your settings page, and make you start a new account.

any information that can be seeen whin you are logged in could be copied by phishers. post a gpg key in the gpg thread, and don'e ever change it. do this when you first open account. then when you loose your password you can sign them a message with that key and include a link to the post what you made it. this proves that you are you.
pgp heys are importans. they are your id. most locksmitchs won't come unlock your house unless you can show them some proof that you live their.

is this process the same as losing a pin?
