Some people do not have insurance and need legit meds for legit illnesses, cancer, AIDS, etc.
I know some people do offer similar services for this, but its a few people.
I do NOT mean to insult SR in any way, but the site could use some classing up. Some people need need this stuff and it looks better for the users if someone gets busted.
"I was trying to help the sick and uninsured" sounds a lot better than "that dude was going through withdrawal. he needed these vicodins to function".

that dude what was going through withdrawal is sick (and in need) like any other with or without insurance.

@geyser-I think most long-term opiate users would disagree to some degree.
I have had my very fine personal physician tell me outright that my long-term recreational opiate use has modified the way my receptors respond to dopamine and also my body's amount of dopamine production.
So, basically, if I want to feel like a normal human being, capable of a full range of emotions, I *have to* supplement the amount of opiate-like substances contained in my system.
After years of fighting against doing just that, it is actually a relief to know that it really is something physical and not just a hugely overwhelming "need" to get high and that I'm not some kind of crazy, depressed freak. I'd thought something like this might have happened because I was an ultra social, outgoing, Type-A, very ambitous personality all my life and then became very withdrawn during the years following my my heaviest period of opiate use. But since it's very un-PC to tell someone they have an actual physical requirement for opiates, I spent a long time and went to a lot of doctors before one was willing to admit it was, in fact, true.
A very famous psychopharmacologist (who shall remain nameless) told me that if I had the same symptoms in the 50's or 60's he would have prescribed dilaudid to take care of it because of the lack of "euphoric high" when taken by mouth but it was very effective for eliminating the bipolar effects arising from long-term opiate use. This is a BIG reason why Suboxone is such a wonder drug for some people. It fills up all those dopamine receptors with only the slightest buzzed feeling and stays in there for a very long time.

I think the OP was trying to say something like:
<OP>
Some of the things on Silk Road are medicine, some are recreational. Some users are here out of necessity, some for fun.
Is there a way that people can take part in the medical aspect without feeling like they are part of the recreational group.
</OP>
I am not taking a stance on this, I just want to hear answers to the OP question and not get sidetracked by people who feel like they are in one category who think they belong in the other.

Ya, I apologize, honestly. I did not mean it to come out like that.
I myself am a pain patient and have been on the meds for years and withdrawal sucks. I just mean it looks better for the site when there is support for non recreational meds. I really didn't mean to be insulting in any way.

I'm not sure how I feel about non recreational meds for sale. It is an open market, so I guess why not. Most of us are not doctors and a lot of medicines can have very dangerous side affects and\or interactions with other drugs. If you are dope-sick that's one thing, for a legitimate medical problem you should really see a doctor. But hey, your body so your choice.
