Same here, I wouldn't worry about it. If bitcoin fog is down for more than 48 hours then I would panic.

Yeah, I haven't been able to log in to Bitcoin Fog for over 12 hours now. It went down right after I made a couple of deposits too. :(

I wonder if the mixing still occurs during this down time, but I kind of doubt it. So, assuming the server data is recoverable and nobody ran off with our money, the best case scenario is we have to wait longer before safely using our coins.

I checked their Twitter feed, but there haven't been any tweets in months. I wish they would at least let us know what is going on.

Bitfog get's shut down when they get attacked, no need to worry it's just a safety procedure.

Since when is a DOS attack nothing to worry about, especially for a place that holds on to people's money?

I guess going down is better than being hacked to where funds are looted, but making denial of service attacks super easy isn't an ideal security feature.

it's close to impossible to dos a hidden service

Not with Bitcoin Fog apparently. It may not be a traditional means of a DOS attack, but if they really have purposefully made the site unavailable because they're being attacked in one way or another as Shulgin suggested, then they are providing a very easy way for people to successfully DOS them. It is asinine if that really what is going on. They've been down so long though that I doubt that is the issue.

It has been over 24 hours and not a peep from the folks at Bitcoin Fog. At this point they have some major explaining to do regarding what happened and what they have done or will be doing to correct the underlying issue, but they haven't even acknowledged the problem.

If they at least tweeted or posted on their bitcointalk.org thread or on bitcoinfog.com to inform people that they are aware of the problem then it wouldn't be a big issue. The silence is defining and really sending up a red flag in my eyes.

Silence on the deepweb usually means "nothing to worry about" you see it with SR all the time, it goes down and you don't hear anything from the administration, but when there really is a problem you'll hear from them.

It's back up by the way.
