Title: Lower Back Pain - drug recommendations
Post by: frank-butcher24 on October 01, 2012, 08:29 pm
Hi,

On Saturday I woke up with a slight twinge in my lower back, and it's got steadily worse since then. I have a sedentary office job which I think is pretty much to blame along with a lack of much sport/exercise in general.

So, I have made a decision to swim a lot more and do stretches, which I hope will help in the long term.

But in the short term I'd like some pain relief. Ibuprofen/diazepam combination just isn't cutting through it. Can anyone recommend anything from personal experience with back pain? Preferably something I can get OTC or buy on the road?

Thanks,
FB24.

Hydrocodone will relieve the pain. wont cure your back tho, go see a doctor.

He'll probably write you a prescription for the pain and fix your back

UK doctors don't generally write prescriptions for back pain, as far as I know. It's generally 'rest up, take a paracetamol'.

I'm seeing an osteopath tomorrow. I hear those guys are miracle workers.

Thanks for the tip though, anyone got any personal experience?
