Can someone please help me through this (USD->BTC) conversion:
1) Accessed bitinstant through tor
2) Selected CVS to bitcoin address (used my SR wallet address)
3) Filled in fake email/phone, got "Zip Zap" printout page
4) Apparently I have to purchase a moneygram now ???
Now,
1) bitinstant charges 4% fee
2) ZipZap takes $3.95 fee
3) Monegram has its own fees (I don't know what they are)
So many fucking fees! Am I doing something stupidly wrong or what?
Also, for some reason, on bitinstant, I can't select any bank branch. They don't show up.

I hear CVS uses this "red phone" BS with people on the other end that are not really helpful and can get your address wrong or something like that. (i've steered clear of CVS)
I would really recommend Bitme.com they only accept cash through Chase bank but there are 0 fees, the only draw back is it could be slow, a few hours to a day at most to get your BTC. Plus even if bitinstant had no fees you would get more BTC from bitme due to a better price on the conversion.
Those bitinstant fees are huge it would take over a $100 just to break the double digit fees. And if your only depositing something small like $20 then fees are over 25%

The first thing I would do is check localbitcoins.com to see if you can buy with cash off the record.
If not go on bitcointalk.org forums in the currency conversion base, and see what's available:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
If nothing you want go to #bitcoin-otc order book and look what's available

There's also bitcoin-central, BTC-e or wm-center in Russia

1) Wouldn't access through tor, may raise red flag, access from free wifi at mc donalds or something (sit in parking lot with laptop
2) Don't use CVS, heard of way to many problems, don't send directly to SR either, send to a temp wallet (search on forums, dozens of posts)
3) Yep
4) Depends on how you go about doing it, there are check cashing places I have used to "Pay a bill" to send the funds, thats probably your best bet.
