i have been taking valium for a couple years now but these days when i have them i need at least 50 to 70 mg to feel it at all!
and this is val straight from the chemist not rubbish!

Tolerance certainly forms, even for much smaller doses than that you have been taking.

Yes it does.
Valium is Diazepam, which is a Benzodiazepine just like Alprazolam (Xanax), Clonazepam, etc.
It's in fact the benzo that they use clinically as the metric for comparing the strength of the other benzo's:

So yes, regular use of valium will form a tolerance, a quick one at that.
