Title: Why the anti-India bias?
Post by: millhorse on December 05, 2012, 01:00 am
New user on SR here, still trying to jump through all the hoops to get my first BTCs purchased. Looking forward to sampling some of the wares here.
I'll be stocking up on some pain meds once I'm sorted, Tramadol most likely as it's worked well for me in the past but my initial recon seems to show a bias against sellers shipping from India and I'm wondering why exactly? By this I mean some comments on the forum, and other sellers explicitly stating that they DON'T ship from India.
Am I more likely to be ripped off by a seller from India, or who ships from India?
Am I (any) more likely to get fake or poor quality medicines from India?
Am I (any) more likely to be scammed by a seller/shipper from India?

Any and all advice welcome.
Cheers!

Getting items from India is usually a red flag at customs.

Indian generic meds aren't that bad. I'd compare most of them to TEVA or Auden McKenzie. Pakistan is far worse. Cipla is a really good pharma company.

Shipping time from India takes awhile, and is EMS mail, meaning you need to sign for it.

So hopefully that answers your question.

There are tons of different brands, but if you stick to companies like Cipla you'll be fine. I get most of my non-scheduled prescriptions from India as well and haven't had any problems. I consume and sell Indian generics on a daily basis and notice little to no difference in efficacy. (I get a hold of US generics all the time as a reference)

Indian sourced benzos are known to have the wrong prime product in them, or a low dose of such.
That's just from experience and hearsay though, just be careful do check & double check, read reviews on said brand etc.
good luck

I may have an Indian bias, but let me ask you something. If all of their meds are so bad, then why the fuck do a shit-ton of doctors come from India?

Maybe there's a ton of doctors to take care of all the Indian people getting sick from inactive medicine?  ;)

India has a very low success rate in passing customs. Most of EU has India blacklisted. America starts to catch up with the trend, making India as a shipping location useless.

I have tried Indian tram in the past, I can guarantee that it was legit with no difference from my usual US made, white AN 627 tramadol generics.

So some Indian product is definitely legit. I've never had a problem with Indian vendors getting their product to me in the US (might be cause I'm Indian and have a super Indian name lolol) but of course it would be better to go with a US vendor who sells Indian stuff, like QualityMeds. Hear nothing but good things about them.

They may have come from India in the first place, but they come to our countries to get trained, some return(?), many stay, followed by the clan. I read the stats on doctors being trained here, compared to locals studying, and it was astounding.

I might have a bias because I have some things from India for sale but if it wasn't for my ability to get cheap Indian drugs I'd be fucked. Not everyone, or their friends or families have health insurance, and if I can get stuff for 50-75% off in some cases that's really helpful for some people. Or if you have a psychiatrist and get drug tested, but have anxiety. Bam, Atarax and etizolam. You got asthma? We got you. You psychotic, or like Valium? India's got you.

Same thing goes for deli's and gas stations. Not so much for call centers.

I get these badass Indian generic Tramadol pills (Anadol 50mg) and they're really high quality so not all generics from India are bad! Well...at least I think the Anadol brand are Indian?

Hmm.
Ordered a Tramadol sample pack from seller Gotmilk, who states that he doesn't ship from India, and it arrived yesterday. All of the pills are indian made. Seems legit though, tried one of them this morning and it seems potent enough.
