Title: what happens to a package that gets returned to sender?

i had a little  mix up with the postal service and my package got returned..my vendor obviously doesnt use a legitamate address so what happens now? should i be worried? r they gunna open it eventually and come arrest me?

I dont think so. Chanses are very small. It depends on how much you order and which countries you are talking about also.

If the vendor used a real address like they should be then some unsuspecting person or company is going to receive your order.

sometimes i think about where the vendors get their real sender adresses. hop there isn't a vendor using customer addresses as return address for other packages

ok but what if my vendor didnt use a legit return address? i just dont wanna have them opening it up then seeing my address and coming to arrest me. but then again the "plausible deniability" thing comes into play right

Ok so if its a fake adress it goes to a place called dead mail. Don't quaote me on name but when it goes thier it is the only place someone is legally allowed to open a package without a warrent. 

Most of the time they are opening it to try to get it to the reciever and don't have creul intinsions.  But if they find a pile of mushrooms they report it.

So if ur name is thier or adress is miss written it won't take long for them to find who u are. Id recommend cleaning out ur residence and car. Just to be safe for a couple of months.

My neighbor is a post office worker so I learn some stuff from him.

Also I think thier is a thread about all this information from a formal post office workers that has tons of information on almost every question. Try to find it. It may be under security tab or newbie
