I successfully bought some BTC from http://bitcoin-brokers.org/. The whole transaction took about 5 hours from initial request to the btc showing up in my wallet. Total cost was MtGox + 3.5% (2% to the broker, and 1.5% to the seller) not too bad for quick transaction for under $1000. They have an interesting business model that seems fair and safe and anonymous for the buyer. Here is how it went:
I registered on the site with a fake name and placed a BTC purchase request via a help desk ticket, selecting a bank with a nearby branch (most large banks are represented). Within minutes I received a response with an offer to sell, which I accepted. Then they sent me instructions with the sellers bank account info (name, acct. # and routing number #) I went to the bank made a cash deposit into the sellers account, collected my receipt and a business card from the teller. Then I sent a picture of the business card and deposit receipt to for confirmation. It took a couple of hours for the seller to confirm receipt of the funds and then bitcoin-brokers.org released the BTC into my wallet.
