How do you like to get your bitcoins?
-
I prefer BitInstant. Seriously, just have to fill out a quick form online. Then just walk up to your local walmart/CVS, fill out another form, and your bitcoins are usually there within two hours.
-
bit mining... theres nothing like FREE coin! lol
-
I use bitcoin centrale, work flawless
-
My uni has a club with a mining rig. They sell the BTC to fund raise.
-
local bitcoins and meet the person to exchange cash
-
so far I've used bitinstant to mtgox...though the price per btc is insane. I've read into mining just a bit but havent really got into it. BTC to fund raise is bad ass. I need to go to that uni ;P

1) bitmining costs more in your electricity bill than it does your revenue. And the power usage draws attention to your home. Look up a "bitcoin mining calculator" if you don't believe me.
The easiest way I have found is
1) create a throwaway email (hushmail is a good one.)
2) order a BTC --> email with Bitinstant and pay with moneygram with fake information.
3) put your coin in a throwaway wallet(such as blockchain.info)
4) ANONYMOUSLY send it to SR (blockchain.info has a built in fogger. but SR does also.)
Steps 1 and 2 are NOT ACCESSED THROUGH TOR. Feel free to use a[n in country] proxy of some sort, good on you. But accessing this with tor, from what I have read, CAN draw attention to you...attention that you don't want in your life.

excellent info :) I have a read a lot about the sending of btc to email being unsafe and ''omgz hackerz will get yo coins'' type stuff. What is your take on that? Do you feel sending to an email even if it is just for a bit to be secure?

Just buy them off a friend!

Bitcopia is great, for larger amounts Blue Sky Traders is the way to go but they haven't been operational consistently for a bit.

BTC-OTC, is a great method, completely anon and quite a reliable source, they're a couple of thread on it over on the security forum and also a thread on it that i made for the newbie forum.

Coinbase wants your bank info. Your real bank info... And they've got a tiny limit. But if you're a little guy, its fcking perfect.
-
Blockchain.info - throwaway account, fund with cash direct from their web site , generate a payment form, go to wal mart, fill in blue money gram form, pay, voila bitcoin at your address in minutes no hassle. Just keep the info related to your throwaway account the same as you fill in on the blue money form. From there the choice is yours. If you keep large amounts send it into a real not virtual wallet and back it up somewhere safe.
