Title: Beware of user "LightingGreen" aka "Vandella"
Post by: DrWhite on July 08, 2012, 10:49 pm
He sent me the following messages. Seems like some kind of scam...any input? Basically he placed an order and then cancelled...I'm afraid he is going to try and give me a bad review. Is this blackmail perhaps? His horrible english hints at the type of language used by nigerian and cameroon scammers. Any input? I'm befuddled.

can you please explain why i was not refunded my entire payment. just because bitcoins went up shouldnt mean you get to profit off of me. If coins went down its not like you wont have sent me back more coins. Please refund the rest of the coins at the time of payment. Thank you

Lighting, I have cancelled your order. Thank you for your interest. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you in the future.

I am sad to say that due to my family filing for chapter 7, I wont be able to complete this transaction after all of your great communication back and forth with me. I will be sure to contact you when my friend gets home so we can put together an order at better time. If you could go ahead and cancel the order so I can receive my coins back ASAP that would be great... I am going to have to support my parents with those funds. Im very sorry.

The reason I do not have information on my stats is that before the summer, there was no way for me to ship the packages on mine own. Because my friend is out of the country, im dying for a supply. I have had packages sent to this address before, but only through him. Im 99% sure that we will have no problems on my end. I understand your concerns, and hope you understand my unique situation.

was the order marked in transit then cancelled?? if so then the SR fee gets deducted then the remainder gets refunded back to the customer.

So basically if you mark an order in transit and then cancel it I'm pretty sure SR still charges its escrow fee to the buyer

If the order was hedged Silk Road automatically keeps the 4% hedging fee once the order is placed regardless of whether it was ever marked in transit.
