Depends on where you live. Since you didn't specify, I'll assume you're in the U.S. in which case it varies from state to state. You need a prescription if you're in Alaska, California, Conneticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Mass, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island (according to a quick search).
If you're not in too much of a rush, just get them online. cheappinz.com is cheap and legit.

Hi
Thanks for responding to this.
Im in the UK...
I have seen people say you can and you cant. Just a bit confused,
Is it ok to admit you are injecting drugs and you need clean pinz.. although im not doing it all the time, i just want to try..
Thanks

You know, I haven't tried this yet, but I'm wondering if veterinary supply websites might be a viable option? In the US and particularly my state, you can get vet supplies like needles, antibiotics, and some other vet meds without any sort of scrip. The pins that I have looked at online are sterile and appear to be the same ones used for humans. I figured it might be worth a shot because I have ordered on amazon before and my orders were occasionally cancelled without explanation by the seller. Maybe while i'm at it I can get myself wormed lol.....
