Title: How do you build a good rep as a new vendor?
Post by: R.P. Stillskin on August 19, 2013, 04:14 pm
Newb Vendor here. I'm curious about how to go about building a strong vendor reputation.  Certainly, the nature of this enterprise attracts a much more skeptical customer (and rightly so) but it also seems to create a catch-22:  customers want a peer-reviewed seller but sellers can't get customers without reviews.

I started my vendor account 5 months ago but posted my first listings only 3 weeks ago because I spent several months trawling these very boards for tips on best practices and tips on stealth.  I've already been asked why I don't have any transactions or reviews by one potential customer and my lack of seller history may have driven them away.  Who is to say how many potential customers view my listings and never contact me for the same reason.

Does any one have any advice or suggestions?

I've posted on the product offers section as well as contacted people on the product request section.

Really appreciate any guidance offered - thanks in advance!
