Apparently there's multiple Regions in the world which doesn't utilize Postal Codes at all. Wikipedia offers a graphical view here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Postal_codes_by_country.svg and according to http://www.magentocommerce.com/wiki/1_-_installation_and_configuration/countries_where_zip_code_is_optional the following 65 Regions do not have a Postal Code:

Antigua and Barbuda
Aruba
Bahamas
Belize
Benin
Botswana
Burkina Faso
Burundi
Caribbean Netherlands
Central African Republic
Comoros
Congo (Brazzaville)
Congo, Democratic Republic

It was a combined FYI along with the fact we can't use the concept of a Verification Letter: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=177984.msg1393105#msg1393105 in its current stage without the use of a Postal Code. This is going to be an important aspect for Oneiros Distribution when we get going as we won't have the ability to reship - the inventory will be forwarded shipments and when they've been sent that's it. :'(
