Hello SR Friends,
I might be posting way too soon, but I just have a funny feeling in my gut. Here is the deal. I was going to order some local bitcoins since Bitinstant was down, but my vendor, who I trust, suggested I go with someone on here to buy my bitcoin. So, why not? This vendor has been SUPER to me, so I went ahead and followed instructions and bought a reloadit card. The bitcoin person says right on his page that he is guaranteed by my trusted vendor.
First mistake was mine. Instead of putting it in the order form, I PMed the person. (the bitcoin vendor). The reason I did this, is we were communicating through PM the day before, and I specifically told him I would be back on Wed early afternoon to give him the reloadit number. So I had a HUGE brain fart and I PMed and did not complete the order form. So I am waiting all day, then all night last night and really freaking out, because NOTHING. Right before bed, about 10:30 pm last night, the light bulb went on and I figured out how STUPID I was, and I completed the order form. That will get his attention and my bitcoin will be in my account when I wake up right? Wrong. :( Now it says on his page, "always within the day and often within THE HOUR" and I believe it is later in the day where he lives, and there is NOTHING, NADA and frankly I am getting very scared and nervous, because I NEED this order and my funds are extremely LIMITED.
More worries: I PMed the vendor to ask him exactly how much bitcoin I will need and to ask him another question, and this vendor ALWAYS gets back to me right away. No response from the vendor either. This vendor has been SUPER about answering my messages and now they are sitting unanswered.
I could see if one person was not responding to me, but I haven't received a single message back from either person since this all started? I am scared and nervous and I hope it is all for nothing.
I honestly cannot imagine being scammed by this vendor, because he is pretty big here on SR. Yet BOTH knew AND acknowledge through PM that I would be ordering YESTERDAY.
On top of all that, I just don't have a good feeling, even though I cannot imagine this person ripping me off. So here I sit and wait for an order I could have had arrive TOMORROW and I will have NOTHING. :( I am kind of freaking out, yet trying to tell myself to remain calm, it hasn't been that long, but still............. I kind of wish I had done local bitcoin now and another vendor this time, but I wanted to go with my "tried and true."
Just venting here. I know I have to just wait, but I wanted to share. Now I am going to go see if there is a way I can find out if the money is still on my reloadit card or not.
Please send some POSITIVE THOUGHTS my way, SR friends!
-
When I go to each of these vendors' names it says, "last seen TODAY," so they are either ignoring my messages or working on my order. I hope it is the latter. I really cannot believe this is happening, and again I hope I am just being impatient but I still have a bad feeling in my gut.
-
who is the btc vendor in question?
-
Mistakes can be very costly in this business, for buyers and sellers alike.
I hope the vendor is a good guy hopeful7, sounds like you might be in for a bad time otherwise.
I can tell you that you need to begin accepting the very real possibility of loss right now. It sucks, but it's only money and you will get over it. The more and longer you stress about it, the more you will have allowed the situation to get to you. Move on and resume a positive mindset again as quickly as possible, and don't repeat this mistake again.
-
It is Bitmerchant. Backed by a vendor who has always been SUPER in his communications with me, answering messages SO promptly and now nothing.
I am literally almost in tears here. Like I said, I could see not hearing from one, but BOTH? Plus BOTH knew from communicating with me on Tuesday that I needed this on WEDNESDAY, and they both said they would be watching out for my orders. Then both suddenly stopped, plus page says they were both "last seen today." I hope this sick feeling in my stomach is WRONG. The order says "processing," does that mean anything? I can't remember what it said when I first ordered, if it said "processing" or something else, so I don't even know if that is a good sign. I am in for a horrible week end if I don't get anything by Friday, Sat by the latest. Plus I have NO other spending money to make up for this if it doesn't happen. I just don't get it. I am so baffled by all this. This is a horrible feeling. Ugh.
-
Last seen today could mean yesterday!!! Like 17 hours ago. RELAX. Don't forget that SR is on UTC time...

I am still holding out hope, but you are right, it is not looking good. I am going to give it more time before doing any reporting, because I have no reason to believe a previously trusted vendor would suddenly rip me off after otherwise successful transactions.
And the trouble with this loss is starting all over and timelines. I am basically going to be totally screwed in more than one way. lol Thanks for the kind words.

ANYONE WHO GOT SCREWED BY MRBUDDHA CALL MP # ON THE BACK OF CARD(800 473 3636) AND PUT IN A CLAIM.....DO NOT LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU WERE SCAMMED.....EXPLAIN THAT YOU TRIED TO LOAD INTO PAYPAL ACCT AND IT JUST SHOWED UP AS ZERO BALANCE...( I WOULD RECOMMEND SOME FAILED ATTEMPTS FIRST ) ....DO NOT TELL THAT U GAVE YOUR MP # AWAY......THEY WILL START A CLAIM FOR YOU AND ASK THAT YOU FAX OVER THE RECEIPT AND MP# ......RESOLUTIONS TAKE LIKE 10 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER....HOPEFULLY ALL OF HIS ACCTS GET FROZEN.......I PUT IN A CLAIM TODAY.....FAGGOT STOLE $2000 FROM ME

Also Bitmerchant is not even a vendor!!!!
-
Who is the vendor that recommended Bitmerchant to you????

Last seen today could mean yesterday!!! Like 17 hours ago. RELAX. Don't forget that SR is on UTC time...
Thank you for this. I know I might be jumping the gun, even though this is so unusual for the vendor.

Also Bitmerchant is not even a vendor!!!!
What do you mean Bitmerchant is not a vendor? And he is backed by Gotsitall. Says so right on his page, and GIA is the one who told me to go to him, when I told GIA I was thinking of trying local bitcoin. Said it would be faster and smoother, lol. Yeah, right. And GIA has NEVER ignored me like this. I always hear from him within 24 hours of any message I have ever sent him. This is all just very strange. I did write to another bitcoin person who said they are having trouble processing right now, so maybe that is what is happening? I am trying so hard to hold out HOPE!
Says in the last paragraph he is backed by GIA:

OMGosh, I am so sorry to hear this. I would be absolutely dying to lose that kind of money. I operate on a much smaller scale, but my "extra" and "spending" money is very difficult for me to come by these days. I hope you get your money back.
-
Well first off you said multiple times his name was Bitmerchant....when in fact it is bitcoinmerchant!!!!!
HUGE FUCKING DIFFERENCE.
When people are trying to help you...give them the 100% correct info!
Also GOTSITALL is Bitcoinmerchant. Same vendor. Not that this matters....
Again I would give it some more time...YES this sucks and is shitty you have not had a response. But the fact is that there is a chance...a slight one...that they have not logged on yet TODAY USA time.
Good luck.

Well, I am TRULY sorry for the inaccurate name. Just so upset I didn't type it in right. But I DO have good news and this is kind of funny.
I wrote to GIA and I told him I was no longer worried. That I was totally AT PEACE and had complete faith in him that something is wrong, because he has never given me a reason to doubt him. And not TWO SECONDS later I get a response from BITCOINMERCHANT that he can only load so many reloadit numbers onto a card in a 24 hour period, and since he didn't expect business to "boom," he wasn't really prepared for all the orders he was receiving and then had to wait for that timeline. So at least I finally get a message. This will not really help my situation as far as receiving my order in a timely manner, but this is WAY better than the silence.
Thanks for all your support. I do tend to get nervous, anxious, and worried, and I just really needed to vent a bit.
-
Still no bitcoin, but supposedly I am next on the list. This has sure been a loooooong waiting game, and I am really not a happy camper. I started messages on Tuesday, so I feel the person should have been ready for me on Wednesday. Then on Wednesday I messaged my number to him at like 3:30 pm CST and it is now 7pm CST, and I am still waiting. I do understand the issues, but it doesn't make any less uncomfortable with the entire deal. But as "they" say, "live and learn," and that is just what I try to do.
-
why not just use localbitcoins? It's easy as cake!!
-
I see too much of this to ever put faith on any bitcoin vendor. With the guise of anonymity, there's no telling who you're dealing with. Localbitcoins seems like a much safer alternative, and you don't even have to meet face to face.
-
So sorry to hear about all this. Please let us know if the vendor eventually comes through for you, how long it eventually took, whether they were courteous and more responsive, and if they offered you any restitutions in an attempt to ammend the improper service (like free service, free money, a heart-felt apology, their first born child, etc.).
We all know that BitCoin is more difficult than ever to obtain anonymously these days and that an honest BTC vendor is something that Silk Road could certainly use one more of, so I can easily believe that the vendor is busy, swamped, under-prepared, at their limit, or whatever.
But that's no excuse.
This is Other Peoples Money we're talkin' about here. I sure hope they come through soon. Like I said, please keep us posted as to the outcome of your dilemma... I sincerely hope that your intended purchase was purely recreational and not habitually essential, otherwise it could be a crappy weekend for you H7.
why not just use localbitcoins?
...please see the opening paragraph of this thread.

why not just use localbitcoins? It's easy as cake!!
Because I am an idiot. lol In fact, I had something all lined up for Wednesday, and I canceled. Why? Because my TRUSTED VENDOR told me to "go with his guy." And now this. I still believe I am going to get what I ordered, but not in the timely fashion I was promised. If I don't receive my order by Sat I WILL be angry, but until then, I am going on trust, hope, and faith. Live. And. Learn.

I actually thought THIS sounded easier. And it would have been if things had gone as planned. All I had to do is put money on a reloadit card and send it in my order. That is why I changed my mind about meeting my local bitcoin guy: I actually thought THIS would be easier. And it almost gave me a nervous breakdown. lol

Well I will survive the week end but it will not be fun. Still holding out hope for receiving on Saturday. Last time he made me a promise he kept it. So time will tell.
And I will definitely keep you posted. I will tell you the VENDOR has been amazing with putting up with my MANY (probably) crazy-sounding at some point messages. lol And he did make me a promise that I hope he will keep after all this. I am checking every hour on the hour and now that the six hours has passed, I am thinking that it is time to see something and SOON.
Thank you for your kind words and understanding. This has certainly been an experience. And to think this time I actually tried to plan ahead a bit. Evidently not far enough. lol

How do you know that GOTSITALL IS BITCOINMERCHANT? Are you sure? Because they are acting to me as two different people. I don't get it?
-
Well now I am being screwed around again. I received another message, and of course I thought that message would be telling me the bitcoins are on the way. Instead, I get this!! WTF?????????????
ah man pal i am so sorry i know u have been waiting for this for a while and gia has also been bugging me about u all day but when i load your pack this is the exact message that it reads, "We apologize for this inconvenience but, your pack was purchased at a retailer who does not currently support your account. Please contact customer service (888) 633-9434." are u sure this is a reloadit brand pack and are u from canada or something. real sorry bud i wish i could help not sure what else i could do
I don't believe this at ALL. Because I bought EXACTLY what this person told me to buy: a reloadit card. I went to the reloadit website, and they told me where to go to buy exactly that and I bought it. And I am NOT From Canada. And since this message, guess what? SILENCE again! I am beside myself with upset. Even if it all miraculously turns out in the end, I am learning from this and I will still be pissed and upset beyond words.
I wrote back telling him I bought EXACTLY what he told me to buy and that I am not from Canada ad what is he going to do about it? Did he call Customer Service to find anything out? And no message back. I am now going to try to load the reloadit onto my own card to see if my money is gone. If it is, then I am screwed and ripped off. If it is still there, I will meet with my localbitcoin person tomorrow and place my order. With GIA or not depends on what I hear (or don't hear) from him. But I will need overnight service, and I know that is difficult to find. I have a "brick in the gut" the size of an elephant, doubt I will sleep tonight and I am upset beyond upset.
-
Have you called to see if the funds are still on the care or have been picked up?
-
OMGod, can you say BAD LUCK? Where the hell is my GOOD karma, lol!
He was right! I tried to put the money on my own card and it said the same message about the retailer. So I called reloadit and they said it is because the grocery store where I purchased is not "set up to carry reloadit cards." WTHeck? So they said they have to create a ticket, corporate will call me tomorrow and tell me if the funds were able to be added onto my own card OR if I will have to request a refund. Of course she would not tell me how long a refund would take. If it can't go back onto my card, then I am again screwed, because I don't have that much money to wait for it to come and I am meeting someone tomorrow to buy LOCAL BITCOIN, which OMG, I should have done in the first place. I honestly cannot believe this entire ordeal, and my horrible luck. I wish for once something could just go smoothly and as it should.
Going to see if I can try to actually sleep a bit. I didn't think I could, but I am emotionally and mentally worn out, so maybe I can sleep for a bit.
-
Oh, and one more thing. I don't expect to hear from the vendor until tomorrow now. I will see if he has any ideas as to how to make this all right since I decided to "go with his guy." Good grief. Ugh. :(
-
I also gave bitcoinmerchant a reloadit pack for $400 over 24 hours ago and no response. He has hooked me up multiple times so I am not super worried yet. Pissed I found this post after I sent it.
He replied 2 hours ago but is lying. I never gave the # to anyone but him.
"sorry bud looks like i missed ya card used up already, guess next time"
Hopefully he sees the mistake; he read my message with my number in it. Doesn't make sense to me that he is GotsitAll because I just ordered with him and I have the tracking #. Why would he scam on reloadit cards and not his products?
-
Have you called to see if the funds are still on the care or have been picked up?
I haven't figured out how to check the balance without having one of the special reload debit cards they are approved for.
If you know how let me know!

So Bitcoinmerchant told you the numbers on your card have already been used? Am I understanding this correctly?
Well I DID have mine and they are saying it will not work. What I would do is call and when they ask for the sixteen number digit for the card put in a fake one, then hopefully they will connect you to customer service and you could ask them. I just talked to customer service about my issue, but I do have an Account Now Visa so I was able to enter a number. You could at least try that. I don't think you can find out from the website. Calling is all you can really try. Good luck.
I am heading off to SLEEP, SR friends. I have expended FAR too much time and energy on this today. Ridiculous. So angry with ME, but I have to chalk it up to another learning experience.

Yes you got it correctly. Said the numbers were used like I went with another vendor. But I didn't, and hopefully he will fix his mistake. I've done quite a few cards and even larger amounts. Why would he kill his rep now? Well I still urge anyone not to go with bitcoinmerchant as of right now.
Hopefully someone would actually use the search option and see this.
Can you change your title? Put his name in there too; get his attention. Post it in the rumor / scam thread too if you really want.

We all get you are freaking out...BUT the best advice to you is to chill out....relax, realize that he is not scamming you...and that it will get squared up!! We get you are just venting...BUT Jesus...enough already. I FEEL FOR YOU AS I AM SURE EVERYONE ELSE DOES.. but you have cried wolf...and the wolf showed up! You are all good now and as soon as you get the reloadit figured out...you will get your coins.

I came in here hoping for a juicy story, but all I got was a 3 page bitch-fit.
-
if it was me and a vendor did this i would set up multiple accounts on the btc site he uses, then make multiple offers through every account, tie up hundreds, if not thousands, of his dollars in escrow and then pm him and tell him you won't cancel them until he's sorted out the btc he owes you. also point out that you can repeat this as many times as you need to until he pays.

The listing is now down. I believe this has been a huge headache for him as far as trying to fill requests. Were you able to check if your funds on are on the card or not? Did you call them?
I don't know what happened to your funds, but with mine it was due to stupid reloadit and it being sold at a store that is not allowed to sell them. Reloadit is saying corporate will now either 1)try to get the funds onto my own card or 2) make me request a refund. If I have to request a refund it could take days to get my funds back. I think the STORE should have to refund my money since they are selling something they are not authorized to see in the first place. I am going to call reloadit back in a few as I haven't heard from "corporate" yet. :(

Actually I will not get my coins, at least not from this person, but I hope to get my money back this morning. No response from the bitcoin person since I wrote and asked if he called customer service or tried to do anything about the message on the reloadit pack. And now his listing is down.
As I said before, I just needed some place to vent/share. It is not like I can call up my friends and family and express THESE concerns. So I chose here. I am sorry if I drove some of you crazy right along with me. Now I wait and see if reloadit will do the right thing. And I go meet my local bitcoin guy and start all over. And it is more about the money than the drugs, honestly. I guess I am a loyal and honest person, so when someone ignores me and doesn't let me know what is going on I think the worst.
-
I came in here hoping for a juicy story, but all I got was a 3 page bitch-fit.
Sorry to disappoint! :(
-
Well here is THE END of my story, if anyone is interested and now we can breathe that collective sigh of relief.
The grocery store was gracious enough to give me my money back and put in on my Account Now Visa card. At first I was a little worried again, because at first they acted as if they were going to let it be my problem and between me and the reloadit people. But the reloadit people would not be in until Pacific time and I wanted, well NEEDED to meet with my local bitcoin person before noon. So I was so very relieved that they did this for me (they really did not have to), so I didn't have to wait two more hours only to find that 1)they could load it on my card OR 2)make me wait for a refund, which who knows how long that might have been. So everything turned out very positively there! Yay!
I then met with my local bitcoin person, and heavens knows I should have done that on Wednesday as I had planned. It is local for me from now on, SR friends, even if Bitintant returns. How quick and easy!
I wrote to bitcoinmerchant and explained the problem and apologized for the nightmare. And my vendor still promises I am to receive something tomorrow. I will now wait (patiently) and I will not be upset if it does not arrive until Monday, but I am hoping upon hope it arrives, so I can have a nice, pain-free week end. I was honestly more upset about the money and the very thought of being ripped off and my trust betrayed.
I apologize to all who had to read my over-reaction and whining posts. I am truly a good person, I really am. But like I said, I needed a place to vent and express my worries and concerns, and this is not something I can exactly talk about with my close family and friends.
I consider my issue resolved and a huge lesson learned.
Enough said. :)
I hope you all have a wonderful week end.
-
Bro.......and to find out NO ONE scammed you........it was the place you purchased the MP at........3 pages of paranoid whinning.....
Come on......bro......there are some good people out there...... :)........good Karma to you this weekend.

Update from my card/issue:
Bitcoinmerchant said he got an error when he tried to transfer my card BUT he said the money ended up showing in his account. So as of right now he said he would be sending it over (said that over 24 hours ago) but I am still waiting. I will post here once it goes through. Looks like it was an error on his part and he said he is sending it but it has now been 5 days which sucks since this was my largest order with him.
I have faith but still don't recommend him at the moment. I now see one other review that gave a 3/5 for terrible communication and taking 3 days. He cancelled my order so I won't even be able to give him a review.

Bitcoinmerchant found his mistake and sent over the coins. Even charged me a lower fee for the hassle and it taking a week. All good!
Made my express order yesterday and it came overnight and I am very delighted and nodding my face off :-)
I wish he was more responsive during this ordeal but all in all he did send the coins and didn't scam. Just a shitty website error causing issues.
